MINUS -5 STARS! Unfortunately, I have a loan with Dovenmuehle Mortgage. NOT my choice. The issues started when they took over from my first mortgage company. After several calls, they told me to use the same coupon book and my payments would be forwarded on. I did EXACTLY as they instructed. Beginning with the first payment, they claimed that I was late, because of the time it took, to re-route my payments - something I did, PER THEIR INSTRUCTIONS! I then attempted bi-weekly payments via wire, to work around Dovenmuehle's (manufactured) delays. But of course, they didn't accept that form of payment. Clearly, collecting phoney and ILLEGAL late fees, is a major source of income for Dovenmuehle. They're like mobsters, shaking people down for tribute. So then I tried to make online payments. That worked temporarily, until they turned that feature off. Once again, late fees = Dovenmuehle profits. Since Dovenmuehle eliminated the online / remote option, I had to go back to sending payments (via snail mail). As before, they would claim: We never received your payment! . Then it would suddenly appear, after a late fee was applied. Or I would send a payment and they would return it and not apply it to my loan, resulting in ANOTHER late fee and penalty. I would message them constantly on their own website asking for assistance to get this resolved. On rare occasion, when I did get a response, it was convoluted, confusing and misleading. And always, the response would come, weeks to a month later. Describing this as HORRIBLE customer service, is a monumental understatement. Because of Dovenmuehle's mismanagement, my credit rating is wrecked and I can't get approved to buy a new home. Never in my life, have I dealt with such an inept, dishonest and EVIL company.
