Belgrade Fair is the largest fair in the area, it is well-known, in a good place, big parking lots, within the fair a lot of boutiques clothes and footwear. It used to be more frequent, eventually it changed. In the middle of the belt there is a renovated roof on the halls. It holds all the leading fairs, as well as fairs for the new year with gardens (popular carolia).

Nice fairground, large and well lit halls. Unlike many fairgrounds it is easy to navigate to and within the fair. Really friendly folks always willing to lend a helping hand. The fairgrounds are really popular with the locals so allot of fair traffic. Definitely recommend.

I like to come to the book fair. Food stands were removed from the fair, and the bottle of water in the restaurant costs 100 dinars. So if you stay longer, keep that in mind. Hygiene in the toilet is good.

History of Belgrade Fair
History of Belgrade Fair
The forerunner of the Belgrade Fair was the Trade Fair Company, formed in 1923 (1933). At that time, both Ljubljana and Zagreb had their own Fair, while Belgrade, as the capital of the Kingdom, did not have one. There was a problem of an adequate location, but by connecting Zemun to Belgrade and constructing the King Alexander Bridge, preconditions were created to resolve the problem as well. In 1937, on the left bank of the Sava River, today known as the Old Fairgrounds, a fair complex was constructed with 26 pavilions of various uses and ownership, and 17,000 square meters of roof space and 20,000 more were open to exhibitors. The first Belgrade Fair opened on September 11, 1937. [2] It was officially inaugurated by Milan Stojanovic, then president of the Fair Organization. [3]
The fair began its activities by organizing the first Autumn Fair, followed by the Poultry Exhibition in December 1937, the Spring Fair in March 1938 and the first Belgrade Motor Show, the oldest Belgrade Fair to be held today, held from 5 to 15 March of the same year. [4] The first fair was attended by 883 exhibitors, including as many as 390 from abroad, and the fair was visited by over 300,000 people (more than Belgrade had at the time). [2] The second Autumn Fair in 1938 had 910 exhibitors, and the Philips Company set up a television broadcast station at the Fair. The programs of that station were monitored by the visitors at the receivers in the pavilions. Another 13 trade specialized exhibitions, 4 radio exhibitions, Land Hunting Exhibition, Land Craft Exhibition, Children's Protection Exhibition, Freshwater Fisheries Exhibition, Mountaineering Exhibition, International Aviation Exhibition "Our Wings", 2 air defense attacks were organized at the Fair. .. [5]
Apart from the exhibition, the Fair had other uses. Cultural events are organized at the fair. Among others, the First Yugoslav Concert Festival was held at the Fair in April 1938 and the Second Festival of Yugoslav Folk Dances and Melodies in 1939, and with the war approaching, the Falcon Union organized pre-war training at the Fair. It was planned that by the fall of 1941 an amusement park and hippodrome would be erected for 50,000 spectators. [6]
The Second World War interrupted the activities of the Belgrade Fair, and the fair complex was transformed into a Nazi concentration camp, the "Zemun Jewish Camp," which carried out the great pogrom of Jews, ie. later Reception camp for various hostages. [5]
