I am still waiting for completion of Washer repair (which is a complete break down) from last 18 days. I can't get hold of any one. Total waste of money. I am going to move my contracts out of Service America.

Nobody answers the phone and when we manage to talk to an operator, she can not inform us under the pretext that computers are down. Can not get an appointment date for repair. Had a problem with my A/c Unit collecting water. The tech drained it and then told the company my A/C was trashed, the condenser was rusted; all without ever even opening the unit. (And he never mentioned anything like that to me during the appointment) Even though the water was draining fine I felt the unit was not cooling properly so I called them but now they won't honor their contract to repair anything on my A/C because as far as their records indicate, my A/C needs to be replaced. They won't even send another technician to look at the unit before asking me to invest in replacement of a 9 year old A/C. And the warranty is supposed to cover compressor replacement even if that was a problem.
I truly feel my records got mixed with somebody else, but they don't care to try to identify the mistake at their end.

Your letter addressed:
1) Shortened Service Windows--COMPLETE FICTION!!! YOU CAN BARELY PROVIDE THE CORRECT DAY-forget a 2 hour window! "We will be there to fix it within 3 days"--AGAIN, high fiction!
2) Reduced Wait Times - RARELY is our phone call answered in less than 3 minutes, and often get disconnected just as a person actually answers the phone!Just this morning we had to make two calls and wait over 10 minutes to reach someone. WILL SAY, though, that she WAS helpful once we got thru to her! BTW...my wife DID try your online self-service program, but all it does is register a request which then requires your return call to actually set an appointment up! You CANNOT "SCHEDULE A SERVICE CALL IN REAL TIME"!!
3) After Hours Service -- haven't actually attempted as you can't even deliver on your basic contractual services! "WE VALUE YOUR TIME"---TOTAL FABRICATION!! HOURS spent waiting for phone calls, missed appointments, incorrect parts sent, etc!

They didn't get the part for the washing machine right the first time, probably due to some communication issue. Other than that, the techs did a very good job. If you are looking for same day service, go elsewhere, but if you are looking for a long term contract with the main advantage being parts covered under warranty, this is the place to work with.

If you have an Emergency with your AC, itcan take up to 3 days to send someone to fix it, or if you want to pay some extra money, they can send you in the same day after hours service! Last time I had an AC problem, Service America technition condemend my AC unit and said I had to replace it, they could do it for $2500 with their discount (a new unit is sold for $1700). I paid to another AC guy from a different company take a look at it, and he just changed the battery on my thermostat... it has been 2 years and it is still working.

The coldest winter in nearly 30 years and no functional furnace! They incorrectly installed a brand new unit 6-7 months ago. It required a natural gas to propane conversion kit which they failed to install.
The furnace was overheating, overconsuming propane and it ended up damaging the unit. They were supposed to fix it over 3 weeks ago and after 3 visits ZERO repairs. Last guy said he had to order the conversion kit only when I brought it up.
Thankfully I had a competent HVAC company come out and make sure that this was what was needed. Will never deal with this company again.

I've been a customer for 2 years, and I will be canceling their service. Service America has very poor service:
1st - very hard process to make appointments via web, and you are almost forced to call the contact center, which provides very bad waiting times.
2nd - the available dates for appointments take several days. This is a show-stopper when you have emergencies. You are basically forced to spend extra money with other companies in those instances.
3rd - their technicians' know-how is extremely limited, and very often it will take 2 or more visits to solve issues.
Overall, I don't find it cost-beneficial to be tied in to a contract with this company.

I have a contract with Service America for many years. I have only used them for about 3 times. They were fine, until last year. I have a leak in my bathroom. I had to pay an additional $115 for a plumber to come out. He looked said that I should get a plumber to look at it. I tried calling to speak to someone, I was on hold for 3 hours and the phone disconnected. I am now extreamly confused as to why, I am paying them. Please do not purchase their service, they do not provide even the most basic assistance to their customers. I will try calling again from work tomorrow, unfortunately I don't have 3 hours to be on hold.

I agree that it is difficult to get an appointment in reasonable time and the first AC technician that comes is generally not upto par.
Having said that.. the AC technician that came afterwards (Oscar, Dimitry) knew their stuff and addressed the problem. They actually made things better and helped with other suggestions. We also like Tony in their AC sales that has helped with 2 AC purchase & installations.
Also, they have accommodated us when they had appointment cancellations. The most recent appointments occurred in 2-day turn around time.

I held for 19 minutes trying to find out what happened and when they finally answered they informed me that they could not tell me when or if the technician would be here. I would recommend everyone find another service company.
After waiting 9 hours, the technician finally showed up. He had been working a 12 hour shift so not surprising was not in a good mood. He stated he tried to call us but the number he had was not ours. Was short with his answers, bad body odor, bad breath and after he left an supposedly "fixed our A/C" it ended up going from a small leak to not working at all!!!!!! We scheduled our service appointment a week and a half early so we could have the service performed on a Saturday, right before the appointment SA cancelled it, I rescheduled with a supervisor who would not give me another Saturday appointment even though bathroom was leaking and not able to use. The supervisor then did not put the new appointment on the books so no one showed up for new appointment! We had to wait another week before we could get a technician and now we are still waiting for parts to arrive so he can finish. Unfortunately the attitude there is very much their way or the highway and take it or leave it. Unfortunate - we will be switching home service contract companies.

I called for a repair service of my dryer machine about 2 weeks ago and I got an appt for this coming Friday, December 8th. I called back today because I forgot to tell them that I had 2 other appliances that needed some type of repair, I could not believe that Angela, the Customer service Rep I spoke to, said to me that I could not add those 2 services for Friday that I needed to make 2 separate appts for that. I told her that I did not understand why I had to do that, that normally if you call a plumber he would fix whatever needs to be repair, that I never heard such a thing. And the issue is that every time you call them for a service they charge you $50 just to come to your house, this does not include the cost for the repair. I am very upset, this is not a great customer service, then she went on to tell me that If I would have mentioned it on my first call she would have added those 2 services to my appt on Friday. I am confused because first she said that the company policy is to repair one appliance at a time and then she told me without hesitation that if I would have mentioned that on the initial call she would have added all these services. I am not very happy about not having all my appliances fixed on the same day. I was told that this was a great company and that it offers an excellent customer service but I do not believe that anymore.

Most bad reviews describe my experience. No show for appointments, then you call and they say the appoitnment was for a different day. Appointment window times are meaningless, they arrive at any time. After hours service does not work even when paying a premium. I had to wait 6 days to get my AC fixed in the middle of the summer in SFL and I've been waiting for 7 weeks to get the dishwasher fixed after 4 visits and 2 parts replaced.

Terrible. There is little to no communication between departments. Service will tell you that Parts or History will be getting in touch with you, and then no one contacts you. I am a property manager and many of the owners of our properties have contracts with Service America, and it is always a pain. I literally dread it when a tenant calls with a repair request and the home is under a Service America contract. Don't use them. Well, don't use them if you like things to run smoothly and efficiently. If you love hastle and lack of communication and have a lot of extra time to waste tracking down info, then this is the company for you!
*Edit* After looking through other reviews, I see that someone is employed to answer these bad reviews. Don't bother with this one. I will continue to advise my clients against using you. I don't need a cookie cutter response.

I made the appointment and managed with out a washer up until today...the day of the appointment, they call to cancel me because "the technician in my area was out". The Service America Technicians are friendly, knowledgeable, and they actually show up and repair the appliances. Many other companies don't even show up or call you back. They used to be really good and professional all around but either they changed ownership or got too big to care to do professional business.
Don't want to bored you with my nightmare, let's just say customer service is non existent; all they really do is transfer you to another representative. Their supervisors and managers don't care to take your call or return voice mails.
They now charge you $50 deductible (at least on my plan, it is higher on other plans) for EACH appliance per call (previously there was no deductible). If you call for service, they never have anything sooner than 2 weeks but for the modest price of $75, they can have someone the next day (before you would call and you would on 99% of the time have someone within 48 hours, no extra charge whatsoever).
I had a service contract with them since 2001 but due to their unprofessional attitude, lack of care, hours upon hours of phone conversatios explaining my problem, waiting for a resolution, I will cancel my current contract and never again do business with this company.

Very unhappy with the service I've received from SA in now two properties I've rented. It ALWAYS takes at least two trips, a week to two weeks apart, to repair an issue. The repair person comes out, says they fix it, issue continues and a second call has to be placed. New tech comes out and discovers the first tech didn't handle the issue right and a part must be ordered. You then have to wait an additional week to two weeks for the parts to not only come in but be mailed to the repair center in your area. THEN you have to wait for the assigned appointment to come. It's pathetic. In my previous rental it took your company MONTHS to finally diagnose a 30 year old AC unit as defunct and order a new one. In the meantime water was pouring into the unit beneath us and creating mold issues. In my current rental a ballast burned out on our light in the kitchen. I informed the customer service rep that it was the ballast when I called. The tech showed up without a ballast and had to order it. I waited an entire MONTH to get a BALLAST replaced in my kitchen. A MONTH. It took FIVE repair trips to fix an issue with my dryer. It's an absolute joke that you guys are a quality service. The only good thing about you is that my landlord pays you guys, and not me. Trust me, if it were me paying you I'd have dropped you years ago.

Best friend in bad day..! .. exactly opposite.. they don t even care. My house AC was checked by the technician from service America on monday(6/18/2018) and I was told that they will try to fix it by 06/27/18. So that s almost 10 days without AC. I already paid addititional $75 (apart from the regular visit fee) for a fast paced service and this is what we get. Spoke to customer service and after holding for 15 minutes they said the manager was going to call back with in a day.. never received that call..! It s summer, little kids are on vacation and we already smell and see mold in our house. And the best part is , this AC was initially placed by Service America almost one and half year back and as soon as the warranty is done.. the motor stops working..!

Terrible experience with this Service America contractor. I was completely ripped off by them. Bought an A/C unit with them 2 years ago, Trane Brand, and its been giving me issues ever since. After the first year it broke down, and of course Trane is only responsible for parts but not labor. Called service America and charged almost $500 to replace one part.
About 6 months later the A/C broke down again now with an internal leak. Service America adviced that they would have to fill the A/C with gas so they could identify the leak but of course just for that they charged me $300, without mentioning the $180 charge for just coming to see the A/C. After they identified the leak they told me it was an issue with the Unit and they needed to install a new part. Over the phone the told me they were going to charge me $150 an hour for the labor and that it usually takes about five hours. The technician came and did the job in one hour and 45 minutes, but they said they still had to charge me the five hours completely because that is just the price for the installation.
I've been dealing with them for almost 10 years and I can say that I have had enough of them ripping people off and being completely unfair. I almost paid for a second a/c unit that they sold me and keeps on breaking. TERRIBLE COMPANY STAY AWAY!

They had mentioned the compressor is totally gone.. needs to replace the full unit. My contract had replacement plan. The A/c estimate costed about 4,500$ but i was told i will get only 850$ for replacement because mine is 3.5 ton a/c. Where in the contract was all these info covered. Nobody ever told when we are signing up the new contract. Hidden rules... Also they took long time to come up with the replacement cost of $850 for which i need to make 100 calls to find out about the process that how that amount will be given to me as a discount or a cheque... It was told the sales guy from Service America will provide the estimate with the credit amount given as a replacement plan. But when we called him, he dont have a clue. So service america needs to talk to him to make him understand about the process. And now it got extended to another week period to replace my a/c as the mechanic guy needs to get his order approved and place order and then schedule appointment to fix my a/c. I am Service America Customer, and my refrigerator has been leaking for over 2 months and Service America Technicians has been working on it five times, but still not fixed. We have been spending days waiting for the technicians for days and when I call and complaint, only action taken reschedule done for next week or so. Last time I called requested to supervisor "Linda" hang-up on me?

Absolutely NEVER use this company. They string you along until you are without AC for so long that you are forced to pay their emergency fees. I just waited 4 days in 95 degree weather and they just informed me my scheduled appointment has been moved to Monday. The manager actually informed me that my circumstances (how many children I have, 3 under the age of two and the weather being 95) doesn't change how they respond to situations because in their contract they can take as long as they like and call it "earliest available appointment" that's sleazy talk for we can make you wait as long as we like in 95 degree weather until you pay us more money. Well, where do I begin to describe the horrible service that Service (Not) America has. I signed up for a contract for my rental property so I could have a quick fix to any appliance issues that may come up. Washer went bad, called them on April 5, and they said the earliest they can go out was the 13th. I told them this was totally unacceptable to have to wait for a tech to come out and look at the washer. Their response was "it states in your contract that for non emergency repairs it will be at least 8 days before they can go out". What constitutes an emergency, not being able to do was for 8 days is acceptable? Although not an emergency, still a pressing issue. In the meantime I called another repair company to come out to try and fix the problem so I wouldn't have to make my tenants wait that long. The company came and fixed the pump that was bad, but then the water was not shutting off. They had to order a new part. In the meantime Service America was still scheduled to come out. They came out yesterday and said "we can't work on the machine, someone else already touched it". However, if I paid them as a non contract customer they could work on it. How is this fair? Bottom line, Service America is a scam, just look at all the other unsatisfied customers' reviews. I should have read the reviews before i signed up for the contract. BE WARNED THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND MAKE IT PAINFUL WHEN YOU WANT YOUR APPLIANCES REPAIRED. Call a local repair company, and you will be better served.

Our landlords use Service America as they live out of state. On several occasions Service America has either not shown up or has arrived hours after promised with no calls regarding being late. I took the day off AGAIN only to find the technician is running hours late. I called 3 times today to confirm the appointment and no one took the initiative to contact the technician to help identify an accurate time of arrival. I hate this service! I would much rather call a local company directly then go through this service.

Very poor customer service. The technician showed up 6 hrs late. It was my first time using this service. He told me that the problem with my AC was preexisting which was not true and told me that I would have to pay for the parts which cost over $1000. I told him that my AC starting leaking just few days prior to me scheduling the appointment but some how he insisted that the problem was preexisting. I called Customer service to express my concerns and they told me that because I called just few days after my contract start then they automatically assumed that the problem was preexisting. What kind of crap is that? So I cancelled my contract immediately. So please don't use this service. They provide false advertisement and are useless. Don't waste your money. Use another reliable company. I rate them a zero.

DO NOT CONTRACT WITH THEM, these company doesn't deserve even one star, you should be closed... your personal/technicians are extremely RUDE AND IRRESPECTFUL, when i called for AC repair (Unfortunaly I contracted with them) they never came the they was supposed to come, and 2 weeks later (summer in Florida) a ghost appears in my home (the guy they call Thecnician) with the part to need be change, butttt in than moment he realize that the part came broke from the warehouse, it was Thursday, and they gave me a return visit with the new part to next Monday... maybe they thought we are in Alaska....

Scheduled apointment between 2pm - 5pm so I take off from work to be home. Called them at 5:15 since no-one showed up on time. Just to be informed that it would be before 6pm... Guess what, now it is 7:05 and no-one have showed up or bothered to give me a call. So now I'm waiting to get through on the phone and have until now been waiting over 50 min just to talk to someone. Funny how the phone systems says "We know your time is important" Really??????
Day 2: Service America claims to have been at the address and no-one was home. Well its a gated community with a guard and you need a pass to get in. Funny that no-one has been at the gate asking for a pass from Service America. Now they offer to reschedule 11 days out. This is truly a joke!

I don't have your service yet, I was just checking reviews to possibly look into a service plan, but my god service america. All of these reviews are exactly the same. Terrible response time, incompetent service, poor customer service. Over and over and over. Don't you think its about time to stop telling your customers "your opinion is important to us" and start actually addressing some issues? Seems pretty clear to me...
Obviously, based on these reviews, I won't be signing any contracts with service america, and I recommend that nobody else does either.

UPDATE: Needed service again for A/C and automated phone system is the only way to book appointment. The system would not recognize me and it took half the day to find a human. When I got one (online) they said they would not be able to fix A/C today as they were all booked. I cannot say anything good about you guys at this point.

Two stars b/c everything was fine...until inspection day that is. I was specifically told by the rep at Service America that they had to send a tech to be present during the city's final inspection. They were supposed to call the city to find out the inspection window and then come to meet the inspector. Do you think Service America showed up for the appointment? Nope! My time and city inspector's time wasted. City inspector showed up, asked where SA was and I had to turn around and wait on hold for SA to tell me that they can't locate their tech and they don't know why he's not here. So now I get to repeat this process all over again...more time off work and more phone calls. Unless you like to sit at home all day waiting around for these fools, DON'T HIRE THEM!

I have had a contract with sa for a few years. Up until hurricane Irma the service was ok. After fpl restored power the ac wouldn't come on. Got an appointment for 9/15\17. Tech showed up. He drove past my house. He stopped in front of the wrong house. Had to run down the street and direct him to the right house.. After checking things he informed me the unit was not getting any power. He then went to his truck and informed the dispatcher i needed an electrician. I called customer service to try and get someone that night. Was told i couldn't get anyone. They told me the dispatcher had made an appointment for Tuesday. I told them that was unacceptable because my mother has asthma. They told me they would send an electrician on Saturday between 1&6pm. Tech called around 5. Found out he was an ac tech and not an electrician. He was rude. Told me electricians don't work on weekends. TIalked to customer service. They told me they would leave a message for the emergency manager and they would call back. So far no callback. Personally i don't believe they ever sent a message. Also the first tech that came out left a piece of equipment inside my house. Something he would need for another job. What a dimwit. Whatever you do don't take out a contract with sa. They'll screw you over. I don't know when I'm going to be able to get the right tech out to correct the problem.

Worst service I ever experienced. Appointments mean nothing. After waiting several days for an appointment they were NEVER on time, and always at least an hour or more late, or just didn't show at all! I truly regretted entering into a service contract with this company, and finally just called someone else because I could no longer give up so much time for late and missed appointments. They condemned a unit they say could not be repaired, just another company made a reasonable repair and the equipment is still working. Even something simple like cleaning a dry vent wasn't done properly even though that was an additional charge. I cringe when I hear the name Service America!

Do not use this company. They have failed time and time again in the areas of information accuracy, punctuality, and communication. Took the afternoon off of work for 1pm - 5pm appointment made 10 days in advance for A/C tune up. Called the office at 5:10pm for status and got told the technician won't be out until between 7pm - 9pm. Why take the afternoon off and use valuable PTO? And this is not the first time. Unless you like being angry and frustrated do not use Service America. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I'll be cancelling my contract in the morning.
