Hopefully this is my final chapter of my 5 day trek through the land of no Air Conditioning. If you have been following me, you do know that I accomplished the feat of having my problem fixed today. I am a firm believer that there are certain steps we take, that enables us to come to a complete different outcome, than one that you would never expect.
For the moment I stepped into the Headquarters of Service America, at met Bibi the receptionist, it was as if I was dealing with an entirely different company, than the one I have been dealing with on the phone. Bibi heard my concerns, and called a young man by the name of Travis. He came out, we went into his office, I broke the ice that I wasn't here to kill him and explained my problem. Within 5 minutes Travis was sitting across from me, advising me that he would have the repair done tomorrow morning, instead of next Tuesday. I replied I will meet you half way, and I accept that. Then he replied, if you can wait 20 minutes, I will let you know if I can have someone out there today. I waited in nice air condition environment, and bingo Travis pulled a rabbit out of his hat.
He related that he can have a repair person out within 2 hours, and install the new fan motor. I could not have been home more than a 1/2 hour when there was a knock on the door, and there was the service technician. His name is Oscar, and he is more than a technician, he is enlightened being. It took him less than 10 minutes, and the AC was working. Then we started to talk, and he explained that he wanted to wait a few minutes to make sure that the temperature was really going down. What turned into a service call, became a two hour moment of ZEN for the both of us.
The technicians that have come out to service my AC from Antione, Todd, and Oscar, could not be more professional, they are truly an asset to their company. The person who was the phone supervisor is an aberration, and can learn a lot from these people. Oscar though is more than a professional, he is an asset to the human race. For over two hours we talked about sales, human nature, acting in the positive, and Steven Hawkings. Just maybe all my mishaps with my AC, was so I could be able to meet Oscar. He is young married father, and way more astute than any person I have met in a long time. There is cause and effect, and reasons for taking certain paths. I am glad I found the path to Oscar, and hope the house stays cool. I know one thing, Oscar did everything possible to fix the equipment, and restore a little more confidence in me, towards the younger generation.

I have never been more frustrated at the lack of communication and lack of service from a company. I paid for expedited service and now almost a week later I still do not have my ac repair. I also was told a date and time for the repair but no show and no call to explain or reset. I was told that I would hear from them by close of the day, but no call. Now a Friday night so I am sure I won't be able to reach a human until Monday but even so, no reason for me to believe that I will have my repair anytime soon!! Worst company ever!!

If I could give SA zero stars, I would. They're a close 2nd to Comcast's customer service department. Half the time they can't even look up a service contract using an address or name, you HAVE to have the contract number. What kind of ancient system are they using that can't search that criteria? Also, we have a maintenance supervisor for our building that will take a look at whatever issue the resident is having and we can then tell Horrible Service America what's going on/what parts are needed/etc, but SA apparently have communication issues and the tech will show up sans part/required tools that we informed them they needed. Therefore, rescheduling for a follow-up visit is required. Multiple times we have made morning appointments, which they then push back to their afternoon window, which they then push back to the following day, which they then miss altogether. I've only been dealing with them for about a year, but judging by the size and scope of their work, the company has somehow failed upwards.

I called on a Monday and was surprised to get through in about 5 minutes. She scheduled me for the Tuesday the next day 8-1. On Tuesday I had not heard anything after 1 so I called and within minutes after I called the technician called at about 1:15. I would have preferred not to have to call but he was very good and knowledgeable and took care of the problem for me.

I have been a customer for over 18 years and in the last two years have experienced first hand the loss of customer service. They try push you to schedule service calls on a website that doesn t function ! Then they offer an automed phone option that after inputting all your information, says sorry we have experienced an unexpected problem and then you are forced to hold for over an hour. This has happened to me numerous times this year. I will most definitely not be renewing my contract when it comes up for renewal. Be warned- if I could give them negative stars I would!

Great Customer Service, for the evaluation of my system J. Addison came, what a nice and knowledgeable guy ! Then , we HAD TO REPLACE THE UNIT , it was very old . We had the replacement done early in the morning the next day . Reggie and Wiley were great , they worked very hard and left the area clean and organized, explained everything about maintenance and how all works. We got 2 year financial payments with no interest which helps with such amount of money ! Glad I choose them, thank you guys ! GOOD WORK ,

The entire installation took three and a half weeks and three appointments as opposed to the five hours that Erick Ortiz, AC installation specialist and a salesman of SERVICE AMERICA , assured me of. I have kept communication with him an other supervisors by phone, e-mail and messaging . Mitch Lovenger ,Mike Darling , supervisors.

Rick Levinson ,director of Mechanical Department , doesn't,t have a reasonable dialog with me, pushing the issue with a threat of Mechanical Lean on Apt .

I have seen in my case, a total negligence, lack of professionalism and lack of service. I was in need of a professional smooth installation, in time and on time. . I understand issues may arise; i.e. a few extra hours , ok , a few extra days, may be . But not 3,5 weeks !

Not emotional torture for 3,5 weeks , canceling a personal vacation, other aggravation !

This is not only about money any more !

3.5 weeks being tied up with the apartment and electrical equipment not up to standards !

Being misinformed about timing and parts and ignored ,

having 1 st time , 07/25/2014 team coming without all needed equipment and parts ,

and on 2 nd time appointment , 08/13 /2014, other installers coming with wrong parts ,after almost 3 weeks !

08/19/2014 that is a date of the final installation !

Not Eric Ortiz,AC installation specialist or the installers have inspected AC breakers properly .After PARTIAL installation,07/25/2014 , I was informed ,AC breakers are ordered and will be installed in 2-3 days .

August 7 , 2014 .After 12 days of initial installation , Eric Ortiz ,AC installation specialist ,asking of me , a customer ,to make photos of AC breakers !send it to him....

How professional is THAT ???

AND Still not getting proper breakers ,after everything !A second time !

Only the last installation team , have examined AC breakers professionally ,pulling them out ,inspecting and got them in a local store the day later ! And yet, SERVICE AMERICA , still insisted that these breakers were barely available.

last installers have informed me,, that parts are located here in SFL in City Electric, common electrical store !

1 ac, without proper installed electrical parts ,required,it is not a complete installation and not acceptable !

2 install those parts after 3,5 week , also unacceptable service !

3 lies about parts being ordered and being difficult to find is outrageous !

4 Making ultimatum by Rick Levinson ,manager, accept our conditions within 24 hours or Service America placing account for legal actions is a "hand twisting " tactic !

btw, I was also informed my condo association ,600 units,is done DEALING with Service America ,HERE YOU GO !

I wrote the following review a year ago and here we are again... I need to get my A/C repair and again I am experiencing the same issues. Technician doesn't show up to the appointment and made bogus excuses. 35 minutes + of waiting time on the phone to get a hold of someone. I had to reach out again to the BBB to get things resolved. I am a tenant at this apt and that's the only reason why I had to deal with this company. There are other companies such as first american home warranty that offers better service and pricing.

This company has by far the worst customer service I have seen and let me explain why:

My washer and dryer broke a month ago and until today, it has not been repaired for the following reasons:

1. The technician that first came to fix it did not repair it and ordered the wrong parts so we have to wait until the parts come. (2 weeks)
2. The technicians that were suppose to come and installed the parts did not show up to their appointments and then make bogus excuses and lies such as no access to the building... I live in an apartment complex with 24/7 security, front desk and valet parking with plenty of access to the building. (This has happened 3 times...)
3. To talk to someone in the service department takes an average of 30 minutes+ and if you are lucky they will take your call. My recommendation call from two phones and see which one will answer first and also expect that they will hang up the phone on you. This has happened to me twice.
4. If you cannot answer your phone the minute they call you back, YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR SCHEDULE appointment and you will have to re-schedule it again, EVEN if you call a minute later so I recommend you people to go to even the washroom with your phone.
5. These people are rude have no sympathy to your problems (mind you they are getting paid)
plus no ownership of their mistakes - they are superheros and we the customers are the bad guys!!!
6. I have spoke with 6 different supervisors and everyone is worst than the other one

I hope that today after speaking with the assistant manager to the president, a person named "Tracey" I could finally get what I deserve... my washer and dryer working. At the end, we pay this company for their services and what they have caused me are headaches, waste of my time and money and frustration. Way to go Service America!!!!

Trying to speak with someone at the company who should take my call is not interested. "At a meeting".

I bought 2 units from them less than 2 years ago...so spent about $10k with them. Service them about 2 months ago and they told me the LIE that they needed Tune up..I paid for the Tune up a month ago.
Yesterday, both units started licking HEAVILY.....and they tell me the soonest they can come is Tuesday...5 DAYS AFTER MY CALL on 2 new units. So I have to spend the complete weekend with no AIR, changing towels for the leaks and they don't care. I talked to a supervisor and all they tell is by contract, it's best availability.

WORST COMPANY EVER..IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN AIR SERVICE COMPANY DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THEM.

We have been customers for approximately 10 yes and have always had great service. When our air conditioning died we called for service and did have to wait 2 days for service appointment. We were told we needed a new unit as the original one was 17 years old. We had a new one the next day. The service tech came at 730 to get ready for the new unit. They were here until 4 . They were very professional at all times and worked together to get the job done. Joseph Lucas explained our new unit too us and cleaned everything up. Also Alain pompous did a great job.
It was a very pleasant experience and we are very happy to have our air conditioning working again. Not fun to have no air in August.

We have been a customer of Service America for 5 years. We are extremely pleased with the service and the professional repair specialists that have been in our home. We first had a service calls for our garbage disposal and it was replaced without hesitation. We have had service on our washer, dryer, refrigerator,plumbing and last year our A/C system went. They sent out a serviceman to review what was needed and due to the heat 2 servicemen spent the entire day replacing our A/C and air handler the next day.
We would especially like to compliment a particular serviceman who has worked on our appliances Randy who is a credit to your company.

If it were possible to give Service America ZERO stars I would. They have absolutely the WORST possible service I have every experienced. I had an appointment today between 8am-1pm and the technician has not arrived (it is 1:40pm now). I called Customer Service (which should be called Customer Disservice) to ask where the technician was and all they could do was say "sorry." They didn't even bother to call me to say their technician is running late. They have cost me an entire day of work and hours out of my day. When I asked to speak to the supervisor, she HUNG UP ON ME and refused to do anything other than "reschedule" to make up for their terrible service (as if I want to waste another day of my life waiting for their terrible service to ruin my day again.) I asked to be refunded for the deductible ($50) and she refused and said that it was "impossible." Shortly after, mid way through me speaking, she HUNG UP. WHAT TYPE OF COMPANY IS THIS THAT TREATS CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS? If it weren't for the fact that it is my landlord that has the contract with them and not me, I would have cancelled it IMMEDIATELY. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE. DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU CAN SPARE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE.

AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I scheduled a laundry machine repair last week for today between 8am-10am. It is 12:35pm and NOBODY has showed up. I've called Service America twice, waited TWENTY MINUTES every time to get a hold of someone, and all they have told me is that I have to wait. First time they told me the repairman would be there by 12:00pm, but I just called and they told me he is still delayed. WHY AREN'T THEY EVER ON TIME? WHY DO TIME SLOTS EVEN EXIST? WHY DON'T THEY JUST TELL YOU THEY'LL BE THERE WHENEVER THEY WANT? Nobody even bothers to call to say they are delayed. They make you go through the horrible process that is calling their Customer Service. Did you know they can't even call Dispatch (who manages the repairmen) to figure out where the repairman is? They have to EMAIL THEM and WAIT to get a response back before they can tell you where your repairman is. So even finding out when the heck your repairman is supposed to come is a problem. Plus, even if they give you a time-frame, IT DOESN'T MATTER. They seriously have no control over anything. It is ridiculous. The only reason I'm stuck with them is because my landlord has a contract with them. And on top of everything, I'm still being charged $50! I WILL NEVER IN MY LIFE BE A VOLUNTARY SERVICE AMERICA CUSTOMER. YOU GUYS ARE WORST THAN COMCAST!

Waited 20 days, still no resolution to fix my dryer. It took them 10 days to come out and diagnose the issue, another 10 days to order a a common $20 relay part, and it is still not fixed. Their customer service reps are not helpful and only the managers seem to care. I have to get a manager on the phone every time I need something done. Now having a tech come out a third time to fix my dryer. Do yourself a favor and save your money with this company and pick a different home warranty service.

They called the day of the appointment and we missed the call. Their response was too bad, you'll have to wait two weeks for another appointment. I can't work with people like this.

I have had a service contract with "Service America" for about 1.5 years and have called twice for service.

The first time was for my Water Heater, which broke on a Friday morning. A tech came by that afternoon and recommended the Heater be replaced. It was replaced the next day. All I paid was the initial service charge and the permit required by my County, the Heater itself was replaced at No Charge. The second was for an electrical problem in my Bathroom, which was taken care of the next morning.

My experience with Service America has been very good and I would recommend one of their service plans to my friends and family and I will renew it.

They schedule appts for 1 wk out. Then they don't show up nor call to say why no one came. 1st Called for kitchen sink leak day after Christmas on 12/26/15. Was given an appt for 1 wk later. Called again 1/4/16 to ask why no one came for scheduled appt day before. Response, "No notes on file!" Waited on phone to be told next available appt is in 1 wk 1/11/16! We have been loyal paying customers for 11 years!!! Terribly disappointed with Service America :( They just don't care!!!

STAY AWAY!! It's a complete rip-off, they are not doing contracts anymore so that they can charge more! I've been a customer with Service America for years and I called them today to renew my contract and spoke to Jennifer who said they would do it but since there was something wrong with the system, she was going to call me back in an hour to complete it. I called them back 6 hours later since no one returned my call (this is typical with their customer service), and after holding for over 30 minutes I was told (by Phillip) that they are no longer doing contract renewals or new contracts since they weren't profitable to the company. Instead they will still make service calls to your house but will charge $105 just to go look at the problem, then you have to pay for another visit and the cost of the repairs. There is absolutely no advantage with having them fix anything. I switched today to Home Tech, but there are many companies in SW Florida who will cover your appliance and AC repairs without the price gauging.

Service America provides the best service ever! I've been using them for over 3 1/2 years now and I'm totally pleased. I've had everything from a new air conditioner to a new water heater to plumbing work. I recommend them to my family and friends all the time. It's a great 'piece of mind' service that I'm glad to have.

Hi Fees, No respect for Clients time. This company has lost my respect as a reputable Service Company. Now they have New Service Charges, even for service contract members. What a rip off. Double dipping. They charged me $45. for 1st visit(this under contract)nothing got done on this day and the tech showed up closet to 6 ;30pm, and $65.00 for toilet lever and flap which took the tech 7 minutes to install. They claim the cost of the piece for the toilet was $165. They cover the first $100. They didn't even consider the first $45. to go towards the cost. I tried disputing but to no avail. They told me to contact the management company that manages the apartment I am renting. I left work early on both days and lost about 7 hours waiting for service. between those two days of service dates to fix this matter. that is money out of my pocket that I lost in pay. I tried explaining this matter to a customer service supervisor(Linda) to see if $65. can be waived because of the unsatisfactory service. She refused stating that the new contract discloses these charges. I still feel as a tenant, these charges should have been disclosed. Shame on you

Scheduled to have my dishwasher serviced because it was not draining properly and leaking as well. 1st visit they determined it needed a new motor. 2nd visit, they installed the motor that needed to be ordered. 5 days later I notice a rotten smell coming from under my sink and I come to realize that food and water have been pouring out of the garbage disposal into my cabinet all week. why? because the technician removed the tube that drains the water from the dishwasher into the disposal and did not put it back, so anything I threw down the disposal went straight into the cabinet. 3rd visit a specialist came to fix the tube and was supposed to provide a letter from Service America taking full responsibility for the water damage to the cabinet so my landlord doesn't take it out of my deposit. No letter yet and my dishwasher is still leaking so waiting on visit number 4 next week. I am just shocked at the service they have been giving me and keep in mind this has all happened over the course of almost 6 weeks because every time I call, after my 30+ minute hold time, appointments aren't available for at least 2 weeks and I have to explain everything again because no one has any idea what's going on. I am exhausted and frustrated, all for a dishwasher!

We have been with Service America for 26 years and have never been disappointed.
Over the many years, we've had service calls on virtually all appliances and even replaced both our a/c units and air handlers. Their service people have always been professional and always show up within the service window promised. We would highly recommend this company to our friends and neighbors.

Paid for a new A/C unit 2 yrs ago and have had to call them at least 4 times. Ridiculous! Should not be having issues with a brand new unit. Maybe sold me a lemon! Called twice within the first 8 months. My unit is horrible. The company won't call back! No wonder they want you to buy their service contract because they know that'll you'll be calling to use it! I've called Better Business Bureau twice! Service America sucks!

This is the worst service provider ever. They sent a technician four times to fix my dishwasher. Everytime they had to order parts, it took weeks in between visits. After two months and four visits they fixed nothing. I called an independent plumber to come look at the dishwasher and he solved the problem in 3 seconds. On top of that everytime you call them you wait on hold for at least 30 minutes and it s a minimum of 3 visits for every problem. One visit to diagnose which they can t do. Another visit after to order the part (usually the wrong part). A third visit when whatever they did doesn t work. And then after waiting weeks between visits, you just get frustrated and call another company. Their technicians literally have the IQs of farm animals and their call service has the customer service skills of the DMV. I don t know how this company stays in business. Actually I do, they charge you for an insurance contract that you can t get out of and don t perform any work. They are a scam. Liars and cheats. Caveat emptor.

AC stopped working on a Friday night. Rather than wait until Monday, paid an after-hours fee to have a technician come out and check the system, which he did in a raging thunderstorm. He checked the capacitor and permanently installed a nice little gadget called Kickstart free of charge, but neither worked so he diagnosed the problem as a dead compressor. The part was ordered on Monday and installed on Tuesday. Numerous phone calls from SA throughout confirming the order status and installation timetable. No additional charges other than the after-hours fee.Very pleased with the service.

I watched your commercial this morning and was dumbfounded that you have a woman in a sweater complaining of 100 degree temp in house. Sorry, but you get a big DUH! for that. Personally, considering this is a small company the CEO is as responsible for not watching or catching it, then comes your advertising agency or your marketing person. I can understand how you have such a low rating if this is how you run your company.

I wish there was a place for zero stars because that is what they deserve. I had a guy come out on 12/10/15 to look at my washer. He checked it out and said he needed to order parts and scheduled to come back out and complete the repair on 12/17. After he left, I got a call from the office saying he booked an appointment that wasn't available so they changed the appointment to today, 12/21/15 between 8am-1pm. After no one showed up, I called the office to see what was going on. The girl told me that the appointment was canceled because they were not able to get the part. I asked her when did someone call me to tell me it was canceled and her reply was "your plan doesn't cover replacement". I didn't realize that was a date and time. It's hard to take off from work during the holidays. So I used my holiday time off for nothing. Extremely disappointed in Service America. I am going to make no one i know EVER gets a plan with these incompetent people.

They were scheduled 8-12 yesterday, called at 12 said would be there between 2:30-3, called me at 5:45 "on my way" . Told him no, someone better be here 1st thing Friday. Asked for a manager to call ... no call.
Now its Friday at 9:30, not scheduled, no one can help, all i hear is I'll send an email, cant call dispatchers, all managers and dispatcher in a daily meeting for 90 minutes or more.
And all they are going to do is look at it, say, yep, its dead, we'll order parts and call you in a week to reschedule another week out. Minimum 3 weeks without service on whatever you call for. Thank God its the microwave and the not the wall oven its attached to.

Regretfully, I did not want to write a negative post about my experience with Service America and gave the company as well as the "manager" Keith Gerhard over 2 months to respond to my outstanding concerns. I had purchased a top of the line 5 seer Carrier unit for my home and immediately following the installation the workers left the house without checking to make sure the brand new unit was working properly. I also noticed the 150 lbs wooden door on my son's bedroom was not even put back on its hinges after the job was completed. When I called 1 hour after I noticed the air was not cooling, the sales person, Eric Ortiz, was nowhere to be found. He never answer his phone after 5 attempts to reach him. It is ironic that when I called him to purchase a new unit he was at my home within 12 minutes, no joke. I called customer service at 6pm the same evening (they left at 5pm) and they told me they had no emergency service. REALLY??? You just installed a brand new unit (handler, condenser and a total system) and you can not get the unqualified installers back out to my home to make sure the job was complete??? They said they would call me back and never did. I called the Manager of Service the very next day (morning) after my 3 year old was crying all night from a lack of air. They told me they can come out within 3 days. WHAT??? Are you kidding me??? I have never experienced this level of service from a company that should be called UNSERVICE AMERICA. The salesman was not responsive and could not care what the issue was as well as any of the customer service reps who took my calls after 2 hours of hold time each attempt. I found a way to call a manager by dialing the sales number where they immediately picked up the phone after 2 - 5 minutes. I finally had a senior tech come out to my home by late afternoon and he said the thermostat was not properly set and the drain lines were not fully cleared. Is this the way the install should go from a company that specializes in air conditioning sales and service? I own a multi-million dollar insurance agency and if I ever treated a customer in this manner I am sure this person would call the insurance commissioner and I would be out of business shortly thereafter. I would carefully consider my comments before purchasing a service contract (which I quickly found out that they have NO AFTER HOURS SERVICE) despite this company selling service contracts. In the past, I had hired Aspen Air, Palm Air, Tropical Air and others and they ALL have after hours technicians. Even if you did not purchase the unit from their company. A horrible company. Incidentally my father uses UNService America and he has experienced the same concerns and has since cancelled his service contract.

Do not buy a service agreement from this company. My service contract states that my a/c unit is covered under the contract. The technician that came to my house stated that my unit is too old (only 13 years) and they won't repair it. This will require me to buy a new a/c unit. The entire purpose of a service agreement is to repair appliances that are no longer under manufacturer warranty. I have found from speaking with a handful of customer service representative that the company can arbitrarily decide whether or not to repair warrantied items. TOTAL SCAM. I had the exact same problem with a washing machine a couple years ago. The machine was only 8 years old and they said it was too old to fix and forced my to buy another washer. I should have cancelled my policy then.

I've been trying to schedule an appointment for the past 3 weeks and I've been on hold for 30-45 mins with no success. Keep saying that all customer service representatives are busy. Leaving messages and nobody calls back. I'm so impressed the way the owner responded to Melissa who posted a comment 3 weeks ago with a situation similar to mine. Very disrespectul. Like Melissa, I will not renew my contract with Service America. Good luck with you new adventure of making company bigger. I don't think customers want to pay for an annual contract without receiving service.

I have had a Service Contract with Service America for the past three years and have had to use the service for a refrigerator, washer, and a dryer repair.I have also had a garbage disposal replaced. At all times the service person did an excellent job. I shall continue to renew my membership. I am happy with the service.

Always renewing the same contract... guess what my contract changed 3 years ago, and i did not know. The person who called me to collect my money "forgot" to tell me a "change in policicy happened"... wel.. yes it is my responsibility to look at at my contract, but if I am asking you over the phone, to keep the same coverage for all the properties, why would you change that? why would you fail to tell me that that there is a change? but never forget to call me to collect my money when my contract is up ...

I had a water leak at my home. I thought it to be from the A/C. I contacted service america for assistance. They sent a service technician for $70 discounted price due to just recently getting a service contact with them, to diagnose the issue. He advised me that my A/C coil was dirty and that it needed to be cleaned. I followed the advise and scheduled a coil cleaning through them which cost me $425. When the technician for the coil cleaning came out I advised him that this was to resolve the leak issue I've been having. Once the technician finished he said yes that that was the problem and it should not leak any more. After the coil cleaning was finished the leak continued. I contacted service america again to tell them. They wanted to charge me another service fee of $85 to come take a look again which is absurd since they didn't fix the problem from the first time. I had to argue with them over the phone and finally they sent a tech free of charge. That tech then said it was a plumbing issue and he would have to send a plumber. The plumber from Service America came out and diagnosed my issue as a slab leak. He advised me that to repair the issue they would need to reroute the pipe which would cost in upwards of $2500. I decided to get a second opinion from another plumber. That plumber came out and fixed the problem in 15 minutes. The issue ended up being my pressure relief valve from my water heater. That call cost me $350. Service America technicians diagnosed the issue incorrectly 3 times. Charged me $495 for services that were never diagnosed correctly. When I advised their escalation department of the issue they told me that they would only reimburse for the $70 service call. This is not acceptable. They charged me for services that wasn't needed for about another two years. They refused to give any type of reimbursement for the negligence of their technicians. They are suppose to warranty their services but this is no resolution. How can they warranty services when they cant even diagnose the proper issue. If I hadn't been smart to get a second opinion it would have costed me even more money.

THE WORST COMPANY IN AMERICA! Terrible customer service! People are rude. I've been waiting almost 2 months for my sink and bathtub to get fix. After 3 technician visits I am still waiting for the bathtub, they I bring the wrong pieces or they dont bring them at all. When I call to report what happened I have to explain from the begining and explain as I was the technician what is wrong with my bathtub and what part I need! DO NOT WASTE YOU MONEY ON THIS COMPANY!

So disappointed in Service America. We had a contract over 10 years. When our refrigerator broke, they refused to replace it even though we had replacement coverage. The service technician told the office he couldn't find the model number. Our food spoiled, the refrigerator was never replaced. They told me I'd be receiving a check for the old refrigerator since they didn't replace it. But that never came. I made several complaint calls to customer service and never even received a return call. One rep promised me a Visa gift card, even that never came through. They used to be great, now they are terrible. Customer service and loyalty doesn't seem to be anything they value.

In recent years they implemented a $45 copay that has to be paid when a service call is requested. Additional costs have also been implemented based on what needs to be done when the tech comes out.
Over the years I've been with them, I had no out of pocket expenses for service calls. So I was very unhappy during every recent service call as I had to pay money to actually have the issue fixed.
I called and left messages on Mike Brown's assistant's (Tracey Grant) voicemail to discuss issues that I had with the new processes and copays. I called 7 times.... then I gave up!! To date my messages have yet to be acknowledged. The following are dates I left a voice message on Tracey Grant's voicemail:

Also, the resources coming out to do the repairs seem to have too many calls per day. The waiting is simply unacceptable.
I waited until 8pm one time (Appt was scheduled for 8am to 6pm), and another time the tech simply did not make it at all (Appt was scheduled for 1p - 6p)
I am so unhappy with the service as well as the process. My contract is up for renewal and I will NOT renew.
What used to be a great relationship is now simply an awful experience. I would not recommend Service America to anyone.

I originally had Amira Services. Then Service America took it over. I've had their service for many years now My air really never cooled my condo. They kept sending techs but they never resolved the problem. Mostly just changed the thermostat which wasn't the problem Even i knew that. Ended up paying for a whole new system. I didn't know they didn't cover replacement. I had to pay the entire cost. Years later the new one wasn't cooling. Again sent techs. Years later they rep!aced the capasator. Then it blew cold. They never charged for service calls. Now they charge $55.00 per service call!!!. I'm furious!! My garbage disposal wasn't working. The tech flips a switch. $55.00!!! So this coverage is useless to me. I don't call for service now. I need things checked out but I'm not paying $55.00 each time. So I'm paying big bucks for a yearly contract I'm afraid to call for repair service.

Absolutely the worst service I have ever received on any contract I have ever had.

It took three months for them to obtain the parts required for my washing machine. I then had to call them on several occasions in order to determine when they were going to start fixing my washing machine. They finally advised that all the parts were in and that they would pick up the machine on the following day. They picked up the machine the following day. I had been advised on a previous occasion that it will take one to two days to do the repairs. The one or two days have passed and I called to determine when the machine will be returned. I was advised that will be 2 to 3 weeks before the machine will be returned to my home.

They advertise a replacement policy if they are unable to repair a machine. I begin to wonder how many months or years it would be before they make a replacement. Totally unacceptable!!!

Needless to say this is one contract that will NEVER BE RENEWED.
