We have had a horrible experience with Service America!
Their customer service is not helpful, you are on hold for a very long time just to make an appointment.
This is the situation :

On Friday June 29 at 9:21 AM our tenant contacted us that the AC was not working. He then tried calling Service America all day and was on hold for more than 2 hours, they finally got a hold of someone and they wrote down my number. They received a call back with the service date which was scheduled for July 5, 2018. This is Florida people 7 days to wait for cooling is not acceptable. They were not called back to tell them of this schedule until late in the PM. Another night in this heat.

We had to call an AC Company to go to the house on Saturday morning to fix the AC which was the next day. They had the condensor fan motor on their truck and problem solved. NO THANKS TO SERVICE AMERICA CUSTOMER SERVICE, SCHEDULING AND MANAGEMENT. Maybe you should spend more money on fixing your service rather than your advertising.

Now to add insult to injury they cover their poor performing service by covering their butts by putting verbage in their contract. GREAT COMPANIES WILL MAKE AN ACCEPTION AND DO THE RIGHT THING.

Why have a service contract if they cant get out for 6 days to fix an AC problem! If you want it done faster they have a FASTTRAC! HA! HA! Which costs more money!

GOT TO SAY FOLKS YOUR SERVICE AS IS HAS A LOT TO BE DESIRED.

I've had a Service America contract for several months now. Like others have said, if you need immediate, emergency service, go somewhere else, but if you're willing to wait a day or two, this place rocks/ The price is right as well. I've had to use it twice, and both times (for a fridge then an AC issue), they came right at the beginning of the time window, and fixed both issues in short order. Best of all, because of the contract, aside from the monthly fee, I didn't have to pay a dime for what could've been very expensive repairs otherwise.

Technician was scheduled between noon and 4 PM. He showed up 7 PM even without sorry. I was calling multiple time customer service. They had really horrible attitude. Technician showed up 3 hours late without any tools. All he had was his cell phone. He spend max 2 minutes in apartment. He touch AC with hand turned ON/OFF breakers and told me that my A/C unit is OK and it is a building problem. I called him 3 times and I called 3 times customer service asking for service report and invoice. I never got it. 24 hours I called different A/C company. They were very professional. Technician fix the problem in 10 minutes and my A/C is running great. HORRIBLE EXPERIANCE! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I am asking for my money back.

horrible customer service! I rent an apartment and this is the service that my landlord has. I have been trying to get my dryer fixed for close to 2 months now. The first appointment I tried to make, they told me nothing was available for 2 weeks. when they show up, they were 3 hours past the 8-1 timeframe I was given. I was told a part needed to be ordered and I would have to wait.. again. I made 2 other appointments that no one showed up to, and they claimed they did not have my phone number. However, when I called to ask about this, I was told it was right there on file. I had called 4 times to see where someone was, and not one time did anyone tell me that they didn't have my number and that they weren't coming. I again waited 3 hours past my appointment time before I was told that no one would be coming. A 4th appointment now they come with the part, and it is not the right part. I will now have to wait another week for the part and then make yet another appointment. My dryer is still not fixed, I have missed 2 days of work waiting for these appointments. Very unprofessional and I would not recommend this service at all.

They really don't deserve one star but I couldn't post without doing it. We have been with Service America for over 10 years! Not sure where this company took a bad turn but we are cancelling our contract today. Our oven has been broken since September 2017!!! 2017!!!! We called them last year and they came out after missing three appointments where I stayed home from work only for them not to not show up or cancel after their appointment time. One time they were supposed to call me to tell me when they were on their way and it rang twice and by the time I raced over to get my phone, they had hung up. When I tried calling them back, there was no answer. I called the company, waited on the line for another 20 minutes, got dispatch on the phone and they told me I would have to reschedule since I did not answer the phone!!! Multiple times we waited at night for them and they also failed to show! Who has time for this nonsense and their complete disregard for anyone's time?

But I digress! We were told last year that the part to fix our oven had been on back order and we would have to wait for it. We called every month and they would tell us to wait and it should be in soon. It was starting to get ridiculous because we paid for this warranty and no where did it say anything about waiting extended periods of time for parts! By June of 2018 we had had enough. They offered us $400 for scrapping it (It's a $2700 double oven). We would agree to the $400 scrapping fee as long as they reimbursed us for the one year service we didn't get. They were supposed to call us back on that and they never did.

So today, we had our final conversation with them after they told us they stopped manufacturing the part, and because we had refused the $400 (which we never did because they were supposed to call us back and they never did), they were not going to give us anything for our oven, our time, and all the aggravation this whole situation caused.

I spoke to multiple employees who promised they would help and they never did. They promised they would call us back and they would not call us back with an answer. Multiple people gave us their extensions and when we would call, they wouldn't call us back and if they did, they would tell us they are waiting to hear back from their supervisor. Then I never heard from them again. This is by far the worst customer service I have experienced in my life. No accountability, obviously no respect for anyone's time or situation, and no remorse for failing to fix the situation. I am appalled by their treatment, and after reading their bad reviews, I am surprised they are still in business.

They never used to be like this. We were at one time pleased with their service. Over the years though, our dishwasher was damaged because of their repairs as was our washing machine dented by the technician who did not know how to take it apart. My husband made him watch a Utube video on how to do it! That should have been an indicator right then to cancel our contract.

I won't miss them. I won't miss the hours wasted on the phone trying to get a hold of someone who won't do anything to help. I won't miss the cancelled appointments after waiting all day for them to show up. I won't miss rushing home after interrupting dinner with my husband in time for them to call in "sick" and cancel that appointment for the next day.

Good luck to all of you who decide to stick with them, because like us, we focused on the principle of the matter since we paid so much money for our contract. Cut your losses. Your time is money. Now you know what bad service looks like and you can avoid companies like this in the future. We certainly will.

One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had! I'll try to be brief. Had a problem with a drain line in our AC unit in Florida. Service person came out, blew the drain line out, and said we needed a new unit. Was told someone would call me with estimate. Several days went by and no one ever called. I had to call someone in sales to get the estimate. Then the leak started to come through the hallway ceiling. Called for another repair person to come out and they said they would send someone out first thing in the morning. Received a call from service person the next morning asking for directions. They had sent him to the wrong TOWN. He didn't cover the area I was in and I'd had to schedule another appointment. Well I did schedule another appointment WITH ANOTHER COMPANY! This other company came out that afternoon and within a few days I had a brand new unit. Will NEVER use Service America again. Oh, and by the way we had a service agreement with them! Their "discounted" price for a new unit (same equipment) was the same price as the other company. So they obviously don't care about customer service and their "replacement coverage" is worthless!

Last year I purchased a carrier AC unit and 10-year service plan (paid extra $600) from Service America. Last Friday (06/24/16) my AC unit stopped working and I called the customer care. They scheduled a service on 06/24/16 Tuesday. ( They asked me $200 for next day service). One technician came on Tuesday and he told me he fixed everything. After two hours he left from here my unit failed again and I called the customer care immediately and they scheduled next service for next Friday (I begged them to next day service). They never give a same day or next day service. We are (2 kids- 2 and 5 years old) living in 85-90 degrees, from last Friday. I don t know when they can fix it?

I have been a service America customer for 10 years. The company changed most of its policies in the last year. They are the WORST company to deal with. They are all money hungry and terrible with their service. I wish I never renewed my contract. To get an appointment is a long wait and if you do get an appointment, the time window is from 8am to 6pm. You now have to pay a copay fee of $50 plus if you want an earlier date, you have to pay $75 more money. On top of that you are paying a yearly fee. I am so sorry I have to deal with this company. Service America is a RIP OFF.

My Partner Mr Chad Prandi and I have Service America for 5 years and we had in December of 2014 a call in for one of our rental Units with AC issues , the technician came out and reviewed AC and informed us we need to clean the coils off the AC. This is not covered by the service American contract and he advised us this would cost us $800! Keep in mind new coils cost roughly $900. I asked the technician if you checked the Freon he said that Freon is good and we need to do the coils. I did not believe him and called a different company the technician came out filled the AC unit with new Freon and since then the unit is working perfectly fine! It seems to me that serves America tries to sell services which are not covered by the service contract to make additional money.
PS: the repair has cost only $140 I asked to be reimbursed by service America in got declined

Avoid this company. They spent two weeks to do a mediocre work. You have to pay them for going to your house, and be prepare, the appointment time is for nothing, they may get into your house 6 hours later. When you call them you have to wait at least 20 minutes, and when you complain they just hang out the phone, they are the rudest company that I never deal with, hanging out the phone? That should be illegal. After waiting for them for 1 week with the AC broken and 91 degrees I ended up calling another tech, 2 hours later he was on my house, 15 min later the problem was solve and the AC fixed. The price for this good service? Less than Service America, that I had to pay to do the contract, plus 55 dollars for the visit and they don't cover nothing. What is the point to paid Service America if they don't show up when you need, and don't cover nothing, plus a co pay for visit. Save your money and hours of stress. This is the worst service company ever, rude, thieves and liars.

I told them to issue me a check for that since I can get it replaced for 1/2 of what they are asking. They said they can't do that. If you are SMART DO NOT get a contract from Service America

I have been a customer for years. Service was great until last 2-3 years. Cost has continued to rise and co pay which is understandable with time. However, last few service calls have had long wait times, technicians not prepared and have to order parts which takes weeks. My bad review comes form my last call. Garbage disposal went bad 3 weeks ago. Finally, had someone out last week that was to order a disposal. Had to call back a week later as never heard anything. Currently, I was on hold 20 min to be told they could come out mid Jan. Asked for a manager and was put on hold 30 more min. Finally, someone picked up which was a new CS agent. I asked for for a manager and had a rude rep name "Makaela". She would not give me a ID or any way to express my concern on her rudeness to a manager and hung up. Finish my last service call and switching to a new company. I dont want to pay $500 per year to be hung up on. 1 star but would have been no star if I could.

Service America has very poor customer service. Their business is run very poorly as well. You cannot get an appointment for days, when the repairman comes, he then has to order a part, wait for over a week for it to come in, then schedule another appointment to repair the problem. It takes weeks to have an appliance or air conditioner repaired. Their customer service is abysmal, they absolutely do not care about their customers needs.
Service America is the worst run service and repair company that I have ever dealt with. I wish that I could give them a zero star rating. When my contract is over, I will not deal with them any longer.

Our AC failed on the evening of 4/21/16. We have AC replacement coverage as part of our SA home warranty policy so we called them on Fri morning 4/22/16 and were told that no one could come out until Mon 4/25/16. Since 'Service" America refused to provide service we were forced to put more R-410A refrigerant gas in the system ourselves (at great expense) in order to get by until the tech arrived. I took a day off on Tues 4/26/16 to meet with the tech they sent out. He checked the unit and said that the Condenser unit was bad (pointed out oil leak). He called the SA office to order the part for repair because he did not have the part on his truck. Of course he wasn't even an AC tech so he couldn't have fixed it even if he did have the part. (Why don t they send an AC guy for an AC service call?). He spoke with the SA office staff and asked me if the AC crew could come out to repair the unit on Thurs 4/28/16. I d already taken a day off and was expecting it to be repaired that morning but I reluctantly agreed and made arrangements with my employer to take a 2nd day off for this critical repair. On Wed morning we received a phone call with an auto-message reminding us that a service tech would be out on Thurs morning to do the repair between 8 AM and 1 PM. That same day, on Wed afternoon 4/27/16 I received several calls from the SA office indicating that there had been a mistake and that they would NOT repair our AC unit because it was 10+ years old. They explained that we had 'replacement' coverage not 'repair' coverage and if we wanted to take advantage of the replacement policy we'd have to meet with a sales rep from their AC division who d give us a quote. They broke the news that replacement coverage does not mean they ll replace the AC system free of charge, it means that they ll contribute $850 towards the cost of replacing the system - but only if Service America is used. The AC Rider is nothing more than a marketing gimmick. Then our AC unit lost its R-410A charge again that night and I had to purchase another 4 lbs of R-410A and get it put in the system -- (because SA refused to assist). Then I took another day off from work to meet with the Service America sales representative (Steve). He indicated that they would not install systems on the weekends and the earliest he could schedule it was for Mon May 2nd. Our AC lost its R-410A charge again for the 3rd time over that weekend and I called the SA rep. He said he would try to see if he could get any of the service guys to help -- but he gave up and turned off his cellphone. Ultimately, SA techs were unwilling or unavailable to assist us over the weekend. We suffered for 3 days without AC and spent a total of $805 on R-410A over the course of the eleven days that transpired between the first call to SA and the install. The only redeeming aspects of the service were (1) the install techs were fantastic, (2) the sales rep (Steve) tried to make amends for SA's poor service by offering installation of a UV light. They installed it but didn't leave any user manual / warranty / maintenance info. I followed up with Steve by voicemail, emaiI and text several times per week for 3 straight weeks and he refused to reply. Finally he replied by text and blamed it on the installation crew. He said he was told that there wasn't any paperwork in the box. I don t care whose fault it is I just want the info. He told me he d call to discuss but never did. In my opinion it s unacceptable to sell and install a piece of AC equipment in someone's home and then not provide the info about product specs, maintenance and warranty. Steve also told me that SA is short-staffed in the Naples, FL area and until they get more staff I could not count on SA to support any ongoing service calls. SA s lack of professionalism and poor customer service is appalling. They're happy to sell A/C systems in Naples, FL but cannot and will not support you if you have a problem or question after the install.

Horrible customer service. One hour to schedule a service call for a microwave. Had to wait about two weeks. Waited till after the time promised elapsed and then was on phone for another hour. I got disconnected and they never called me back. For the time I spent, I could have earned enough to buy a new Microwave. They have grown too big and their service has become horrible.

I am looking for alternatives. I have asked for a supervisor to call me back and still have not heard.

Service America Enterprises/FirstService Brands understands its customers and consumers, and how to acquire, retain and manage relationships with real people. This is essential in a world where what customers say about companies is more important than what companies say about themselves.
The promise sound great if they actually kept it; I called for an issue with my A/C and they send a plumber. (Re.8280826)
The plumber notice that the A/C is sucking dirt from the garage area and as a result he tells me that the Evaporator Coils are probably dirty, causing the lines to clog up. The return Air Plenum filter compartment is not sealed properly. (See Photo)
After he cleaned the condensate drain line, he left telling me that Service America will call to arrange for a coil cleaning. I received a call the following day. The cost for the cleaning will be $400 s
Well since at the end of 2013, Service America installed the New A/C unit, without a recommended Air Plenum filter compartment which had to be installed after the county inspector required them to do it. (See Photo) it should be their obligation to do the cleaning without any charge. The issue exists because the poor workmanship, nothing to do with me; I change the filter every thirty days.
Since I m still waiting for Service America (Case#90407842) to come and fix my toilet, the leaking sinks, the co-pay charge refund and the letter of apology from the president of the company as promised by Raymond maybe now, they can add the A/C to the items they need to take care.

They set my appointment time for 11:30 am, at 12:30 pm I called them to find out where was the technician, I was told that he wont be in until 4pm. I asked why wasn't I called. The young lady told me that they don't do appointment times, they give time frames. I have a confirmation text saying that my appointment is at 11:30 am, not 11:30am to 4:30 pm. It's ridiculous. I've been without air all weekend and they can't even get their schedule together.

We've have had Service America about 12 (Since 2006) and never really had many problems but in the last three years things have drastically gone downhill. Management is responsible for this fiasco. At times they don't show up for appointments, the window blocks are too long.
And now they charge you $45 for a service call.
I am repeating Steve s review since these are my thoughts too just happens to match with him.
From Last year they introduce this service call charge and this year they increased it to $65 also they increase yearly contract price. last year I did not have a single service call since I upgraded my appliances.
They don t care how long you been a loyal customer to them and never have this consideration that I did not have any service call past year. They treat once size fits all, customer service and there agent over the phone sucks I am dropping them. Found another company.
I hope they lose big chunk of customer because of their attitude.

Their technicians are often challenging and far from professional. Customer service lacks any real customer service and they string you along. Have had the most for about 15 years and will no longer continue this time around. Many times I've wanted to cancel but they lock yoh in with silly fees and prorated expenses.

Service has taken a serious downturn this year. Service is usually not done within the window provided, several times not showing up at all. A/C broke, had to wait in heat for appointment for days. They arrived and tried to say it was fine after vacuuming some water and left. Of course it broke hours later again and was told next appointment is three days from then. Asked for manager and was told he would call me. Never did. Now I'm still without air and took off of work again for my 12-2 windows. Well guess what? Nobody showed and been on hold for 14 minutes to speak with someone so far. I do not blame the actual employees who show up at your house, I blame the management and training of the internal staff.

Could not imagine a worse company. Impossible to get a hold of them on the phone, the 'call me back' feature does not work, and their web portal to create service calls doesn't work. I have spent over 1.5 hours trying to get in touch with someone with no success. This happened 3 times because 3 different things fell apart in the new apartment we're renting.
If that isn't enough, a plummer came out. Looked under the sink for less than 1 minute and said he didn't have the parts to fix it. Had to wait 4 days. I spent extra $100 to have same day service for NOTHING! 4 days later when another plumber came back, turns out the issue is completely different than the first guy said and it could have been repaired 4 days ago.

I had an absolutely dismal experience with this company already. I decided to write a complaint to their corporate office. Here s what I wrote

I purchased a new 3.5 ton 15.5 seer Trane A/C system and had it installed on 9/15/15. The unit has run well up until two nights ago when it stopped running completely. I promptly contacted your service department and scheduled a service call for the following day. I was given a window between noon and 5pm for the repair man show up but no one ever did. I was never contacted in any way to let me know what the situation was... they just never bothered to communicate at all. I called prior to 5pm to get an update and was told to call back if they didn t show up that you had an emergency service that would be dispatched until 7pm. So, we did call back No one answered, so we left a message. No one called back. I tried to call the salesman that sold me the unit and he was on vacation. The saddest part is I had to call another a/c company after hours and this man walked me through a troubleshooting exercise over the phone and helped me get my unit running again. I had to climb in my attic and fix an a/c unit that is less than a month old by relying on a service department from your competitor AMAZING!! It amazes me that you would let this happen. The bottom line is that I regret doing business with Service America. All of the reviews online tell the real story. Even after I read them initially, I thought the amount of contracts you service could only skew the actual number of complaints. Well, I was wrong. I received the worst service possible. I would be surprised if anyone there cares enough to reply to this complaint.

So here it is a month later and no one responded, as expected. No one cares, as expected.

They are competent and friendly collecting your premium, But once the check clears... Good luck! This once used to be a decent company... But no more.. Techs are not knowledgeable, one tech never knows what the last one did.. They never have the proper training or tools, throw darts to make repairs which take multiple trips and days or weeks between their own personal incompetence and the company policies.. They refuse to give you answers at the office, they refuse to escalate calls to speak with upper management.. Obviously a company policy.. So know the scam starts in upper management.. Don't waste a dime on this company folks.. "Can't Service America" would be a great new name! I had a refrigerator go down in my home.. After two unsuccessful visits to repair, and almost two weeks without a fix in sight as they told me it would take another week to order parts and repair..out of sheer desperation with a house full of company living out of coolers, I called another company who came in one time, identified the problem in 10 minutes and repaired it like new in one hour... Up and running.. One call.. One hour! Service America is pathetic... And they are only concerned about taking your money and putting it in their pockets...... Dispicable.

I reached out to Service America on Facebook to get a hold of someone and let them know of my complaints. They asked me whether I got a service scheduled yet and I said No, we had to go through another repair service to which they answered I understand.
....?? My landlord pays to have this company be on call for our apartment and they show no intention of correcting this.
On the other hand, I called a local A/C repair company and they came within an hour.

Had a plumbing issue. Eric the serviceperson was excellent in assessing ing the issue. He didn't try to take any shortcuts or suggesting we need to buy a new faucet, but rather methodically and efficiently spent careful time to fix it. Service America should be proud to have Eric!

Customer service supervisors frequently do not return calls. Service techs keep you waiting for many hours (one time there was an 8 hour wait and the reason he was sent was not covered by the contract). The company does nothing to help their customers when it comes to a warranty. If you are foolish enough to work with this company read your contract carefully and ask a lot of questions.

My mom's landlord has a contract through them, and after helping her contact them and try to set up an appointment to check her air conditioner, I think this company is basically a con. They take money for the contract, but make it as hard as humanly possible to get someone on the phone, or to make an appointment, and if you do manage to make an appointment, they don't show up. I've spent a ridiculous amount of time the last two days on their automated phone system and on their useless website. There is a customer chat online, and I was told that it was for sales only, and that she could not help me with my issue. Basically the worst customer service ever. I'd prefer to give ZERO stars.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND KEEP TELLING YOU THEY WILL COME FOR SERVICE OR REPAIR AND THEY NEVER DO. I have a contract number with them, which is a fee you pay and every time you need a service or repair they come to your house and repair whatever needs to be repaired. First time I need a service, I called this morning ( friday) and they told me they can only come monday. But my A/C hasnt been working for 2 days now and its a MUST in florida especially in Miami. I went ahead and paid an extra 105 dollars to have the express service and my service was scheduled on the same day ( friday), time frame was between 2-4. I waited home until 4 for the technician but nobody showed up. I called again at 4pm, they told me the time frame now is between 4 to 6pm. I stayed home waiting to open the door for the technician but again nobody showed up or called. I had to call again at 6 pm, the lady on the phone said the technician will be at my house at 7 the latest. No updates again and after waiting till 9:30pm in my house ( 6 hours and half of wait), the technician finally calls me and said he is on his way and will be there asap. Once he gets in front of my building, he calls me and says he didnt find any parking. I proposed to pay for the valet service but he said it was full. I told him to wait a little bit, someone will eventually leave and he will find a spot. He agreed and said he will let me know. I wait 15 mins ( its 10pm now) and try to call him multiple times only to find out that he turned off his phone. At this point I am just speechless and cant believe a company can be that unprofessional. I had to call customer service to explain the situation and get a refund but the lady on the phone said that at this time she only takes call for emergency services and cant do anything for me. She said customer service department is closed and I can only call tomorrow. I took time to write this review to make sure nobody makes the same mistake as I did. STAY AWAY FROM SERVICE OF AMERICA, THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND WONT REPAIR ANYTHING !!!!

Service America has poor customer service. No one knows an answer you get transferred multiple times. By end of call no resolution. I cancelled my service early Jan. I was charged for a monthly payment 1/23 which I was told would be refunded by mail still no check. Now 2/23 I am charged again for a service I do not have. I know this is going to be ongoing. I will be filing a claim against Service America as they are causing me undue stress, wasting my valuable time, and this company is borderline fraudulent if yuou ask me. They don't hold up true to what is offered on their contracts.

I have been with Service America for approximately 10 years. The technicians have always been professional and courteous and although every appliance service call requires 2 visits, I felt that the service was worthwhile... until yesterday. A service tech named James came into my house to repair my microwave. A plastic piece had broken off the door compromising the seal on the unit. James told me immediately that this was a cosmetic issue and not covered by Service America. I told him that the door is coming apart and I am afraid to use the appliance but he repeated it is cosmetic and asked me if I had taken the door apart. I told him that I do not tinker with appliances and he said there is nothing that SA can do and asked me for my copay. I told him I would not give him the copay for a job in which he has not even offered to call the parts department to inquire about cost and availability of replacement parts (I had paid for replacement parts for my refrigerator recently.). He then became quite agitated and I had to tell him to leave my home. I was genuinely afraid of him at that point. I do not plan on renewing my Service America contract following this incident.

They schedule a follow up repair three weeks later only to find out they don t have the part. This is now a 2nd day of missing work without pay. This company only services on weekdays...BIG problem if you work M thru F. Now they offer a Saturday appointment only after complaining. Terrible. Never come when scheduled. Waiting since Tuesday. Say they called but no one answered. Nonsense. Wasted two days at home. Now had to take another day off next week. Bad customer service. Each time same bs about calling. On 12/26 after scheduling and forced to pay and if not no one would come out the next day between 1 and 6 pm. On 12/27 i called to make sure someone was coming out and was advised system down but surely a tech would be out. I called back later and customer service advised it didnt make the system due to their computers so i had to make another appt for today 12/29 between 1 and 6 again.
So today 12/29 i called at around 1 pm to make sure i was on schedule and they saud yes although they could not tell me where i was scheduled. At about 4 pm i called only to be placed on hold for 20 minutes to be told i didnt answer the phone so no one is coming. I told them bs. I was home the entire day and no one called. Which is the same bs they say all the time. Now i had to reschedule for 1/2 and take off again. Extremely annoyed.

They diagnosed our AC problem as a faulty fan tried to charge us $790to install a new one on an air conditioner we bought from them 3 years ago that was still under warranty. The $790 was to install the fan (labor) as the part was warrantied. It was estimated that in total, the time to do this would take about 30 minutes, but since we no longer have a service contract with them, the charge was for the labor. A ridiculous charge. When another AC repair company came out to take a look, they said the fan was fine and no repairs were necessary. Had the fan been faulty, they would have installed it for $275, over $500 less. The AC issue is believed to have been related to a power surge..

Shorty after AC went out again they came out then charged $900 to fix copper tubing. within a year period AC kept going out multiple times I had to have them come out over 6 times in a year. Now AC went out again and 10 days after the "one year warranty" is over and they cant even give me a complementary service call. Had to have 45 year old A/C replaced. Salesman scoped out proper unit for my situation. Arranged for next day installation, including crane and permits. Installers arrived on time. They removed old compressor and air handler and replaced them with new unit. Removed old wiring, switches, and thermostat and replaced with new wiring, etc. Sealed the air ducts so there were no leaks. Ensured there were no refrigerant leaks. They were neat, friendly and communicative while working. They did a thorough clean up. And this was done on a 90+ degree day.

An appointment was made on 12/26/17 to have our A/C repaired on 12/28/17 (yesterday). First off, when we asked for a specific appointment time or time frame at least, the Customer Service Rep told us that she cannot provide us with neither but that we should wait for the Technician to come between 8:30am to 7pm. I have also requested to have the Technician give me/my husband a call before arriving so that we would be at home. However, we were told that she (Customer Service Rep) does not have the ability to contact any of the Technicians. I left it as is, despite the obvious communication disruption and poor customer service that I was given. Yesterday, upon being stranded at home waiting since 8:30am, we called twice: first in the afternoon and were told to keep waiting until 11pm as the Technician would come any minute. Then, I called by 7:50pm and was told that "the system" in Miami area has been consistently crashing over the past few days and that multiple services have not been completed. I have insisted to have somebody from Service America resolving this once and for all by either calling a Technician and have him call me/my husband or by giving us a Technician phone number for us to call. We were denied of these possibilities and were just offered an apology over and over without a definitive resolution to our issue. The Customer Service Rep could not do anything else and nobody else so far has cared to solve this. We can't do anything with just an apology. We need our A/C fixed ASAP as we have been waiting for almost a week now. Needless to say, as suspected, no Technician showed up to our appointment or called. Moreover, it is clear that we were given different stories by various Customer Services Reps and that these don't add up. If Service America Representatives and Technicians can't even communicate among themselves effectively, without a doubt they cannot render a good service to their customers.

They do not respond to service calls, they cannot guarantee that a technician can come to your home to address your service needs, they send you plumbers when what you really need is an appliance technician, and they do not care about their customers. You will be wasting your time and money on these fools. Before your use them, google them and read all of their reviews. Just check out their FaceBook page, nothing but bad reviews because they suck.

Pathetic customer service, the recording says your time is very important to them but yet you wait 1/2 hr to speak with a rep., They can't contact the service techs and they give you a runaround. They are as bad or worse than Comcast. I had an appt. and couldn't make the time, i called them, and waited and waited and waited, they rep. said she emailed the tech and he would call me 1/2 hr before and gave me an excuse about their appts being scheduled by GPS.....BS explanation, no one called and i was not home for the appt. yet no one even bothered to call and see what happened, i doubt they even showed, as they were supposed to call me 1/2hr before arrival (that could not be guaranteed also). I would not even consider renewing.
