If I could give them a number lower than zero I would! What joke! Over $700 a year for what? To be lied to over and over again! They give a time frame and don't show up! They take two weeks to show up and then another two plus weeks to get a part and then they change the dates they going to show up! Then they lie about when the tech is supposed to be there! So, when the tech shows up 4 hours later then they said he would, he has the wrong parts that aren't even on the work order! Then they give us a song and dance about hiw no one in a supervisory position on the weekend has any authority to make any command decisions or the authority to make things right! Truly pathetic! Oh and their own techs say that they have a new computer system that doesn't even allow them to know which job is next so they can't plan their day! On one call the tech was 15 miles away, only to be sent seventy five miles past us for three other calls, to finally show up around 7:30 pm to tell us he can't do anything and has to order the parts!
Terrible. Had a service call for a clogged sink and hot water not working on bathtub first. They had to come back to fix the tub a week later because they didn't have the parts, and they had to come back to snake the drain on the sink which was $175 extra because it "isn't covered". Next, the a/c goes out on Friday am. We call and the earliest appointment is Monday, unless we pay $105 off hours fee. It is 84 degrees in a house with 2 people and 2 pets. They have no policy to expedite a service call for a/c units being completely nonfunctional. We pay the fee, the repairman shows at 9:30 at night Saturday, tinkers for a bit and tells us that the compressor needs to be replaced and (surprise surprise) he has to order the part. When I ask how long, the order will not be placed until Monday, and it will likely be Wednesday at the earliest to repair the AC. This means we will be without AC in south Florida for at least 6 days. Mind you, this company calls itself an air conditioning service and repair company. What kind of repair company charges an extra fee to show up, and then can't actually complete the repair. This is easily the worst service company in existence. Do not give them your money, it is a complete scam.
UPDATE 1/10/15 - After the reply below was posted, I attempted to contact the President's Office twice, where I was put on hold for 20 minutes both times. The tech came on Thursday to replace the broken part, and did not have the correct connections to actually replace the compressor. He ordered the parts to come this morning to finalize the repair, and upon arrival the tech realized the part ordered was not the correct part for our unit. We were then told it would be Monday before the part could be ordered, and Tuesday at the earliest for the next attempt at repair. So we are currently at 8 days without A/C, and will be at 11 prior to the repair being completed. I am more dissatisfied with every contact with this company.
My A/C was not cooling my house. I called for a technician and had to wait 4 days for one to come. I had to go to a hotel because the heat was unbearable. The technician finally came Tuesday and just filled up the unit with freon. I was told that I would need a test run on the unit and of course it would cost me money. Within a few hours I could see the the unit was not cooling properly. I called the tech back and once again I was told that he would need to come back and do the test. I went and scheduled another service appointment but would need to wait 3 days for a tech to come. Do they not realize we live in Florida. I can not live with out a/c do to many factors. Why do I need a service contract if everything costs extra. I called to speak to a supervisor which then had me placed on hold for so long that twice that the line eventually got hung up. I have been with this company for a long time and have 3 different contracts with them. I have to say that I am disappointed. I ended up calling a private company which determined that there was freon in the unit but that the compressor filter was clogged, therefore not letting the freon get where it needed to go
I would give them a negative10 if they had that star. We have a service plan with Service America. It should be called a "Don't expect service anytime soon plan!" 3 weeks and still waiting for the repair. The customer service was anything but. Zero service even when we asked if we could find the part would they order and install it.
As evidence of the fact that we are very happy with Service America's service, we have been loyal customers for many years. Further more we have continuously recommended the company to our friends and relatives who signed up for home service contract. Never received any negative feedback. I just renewed our service contract. They are trying hard to please customers and are doing a good job on that. Thumbs up on our end.

I used to be a Total customer. But when the service from that company went from ok to terrible, I decided to switch to Service America. I'm glad I did. It's costing me a lot more money since the board in our building negotiated a good deal for all the residents with Total. In fact, I'm a member of the board. Nevertheless, I just couldn't take the poor service from Total anymore. Don't get me wrong. None of these companies is perfect. But some are better than others. And one of them is Service America.
Service America exceeded my expectations. From beginning to end from getting a quote to the installation of a new a/c unit. The techs were efficient and courteous of my carpet. I would recommend my friends to Service America!
Poor customer service. When asked to discuss the repairs he said were required, he refused to speak with the condo owner's agent so we could get permission to move forward with repairs he said that he doesn't need permission from anyone and refused to speak with them. I told him that he needed my permission to be in the condo to do the work. He still refused. Each time I've had to deal with this company, the repairmen have been less than adequate. This is a sure sign that management must breed contempt for their customers among their repairmen. I would never recommend using this company for that reason.
We have been highly satisfied with our service which we have subscribed to with Service America for over 10 years. First with our A/C unit and water heater and later with all of our appliances plus plumbing and electric.
Service America has always provided prompt expert support for a number of appliance problems. They provided an extensively upgraded A/C system at half the cost of a new system when the 20 year A/C system broke down and parts for it were no longer available. They replaced an aging water heater and have fixed several appliance issues with our refrigerator, washing machine, and microwave. They have never refused to provide the service and have always been prompt to set up and come to appointments. The service men have always been very capable technicians with a complete set of tools and technical knowledge to fix the issue.

I'm removing my decent rating and going down to a 1 star rating... they must have changed their system or something. 10 days to wait for an appointment for leak going down to floor below. 10 days for a leak in the water heater. These are things that need immediate attention! Not sure exactly what i am paying for, but this is ridiculous. Apparently now if you want an appointment sooner you have to pay. I'm done.

I have been with service of america for about a year and a half now...problems is most people here only review when they are upset - which is why your seeing such a poor rating amongst everyone else..ill try to be a little more objective
Pros
1. realty is that when you call a service man for anything itll probably cost you $100-$200 just for them to come out no matter what you do, so if you get one of the top plans for $400-$500/year - that's pretty much great if you have to call them out 3-5 times a year (don't forget they're also covering the cost of parts and repairs)
2. You can call for anything that's not working at all, they'll come out and take look for a dripping faucet, or even if something is not working effectively, and will give you tips and advice on how to fix things.
3. If it doesn't get fixed the first time, they'll come out again - and you dont have to worry about paying anything (again assuming you have no copay)
Cons:
1. Yes, sometimes they don't always fix things on first try - but don't know if that's true for any home repair
2. When you schedule an appointment its usually 2-4 days from when you call..so if you have an air conditioning problem, that's not so fun...
Other Notes:
as for the phone calls missed - the repair man usually calls from his cell phone so its pretty easy to call him back and tell him you're around if you have his number on your cell now..
Seems most people are pissed due to the cheaper plans which have co-pays - which is definitely understandable - although i don't think there's any company that doesn't offer a plan without except them although on the higher plans...
Jennifer from this company is very unprofessional. I gave her my debit card to pay the yearly fee. She claimed that it declined, my account was left with no money after she put it through four times. Please be very careful with this company and the people that work there. I now have to pay all these fees that were charged to my account. Not happy at all with this individual. Izabella
I had a leak from the toilet in a 1 bed room Apt. As per contract they are suppose to come in 24 hours. I was told they will come next day between 8 AM to 8PM. At 6 PM they called and said they will not be able to come and they are rescheduling it for the next day between 1pm to 6PM. They did not show up. No phone call, email or anything else. They did charge me $45 for the service though. Scary.
Been a customer for over 8 years and rarely had any problems until recently when my Ac went out. Paying over $600/year for crappy 4 day service after being on
hold for 1/2 hour to schedule is not what I pay for. Then they tell me 3 days is the best they could do. The girl told me its peak season. We live in Florida- "every day is peak season". I once had a technician tell me he sits in his truck waiting for calls. They don't give him enough work. My last call was a plumbing repair was an 8 day wait and they tried to use used parts but didn't fit and then another 5 days to fix.
Better off burning my $600 and going to another company for better customer service. They truly do not value customers.
I then decided to call and schedule expedited service which the best they could offer is next day from 6-9. At 7:45 pm I call to see what time they are coming since they failed to even call me. Some idiot from dispatch named Tom called me at 8:30 pm to tell me no one is coming and bitched him out like everyone would do under the circumstance and told me he would call back. He never did follow through with the request only to find out they had no techs in the area which was a complete lie. They were at a house 3 doors down at 10:30 pm but not mine.
Seriously what a bunch of morons they have running this company. Called again Friday since the moron dispatcher Tom (no last name) failed to even follow through on next day appointment as promised. Called Customer service next day after being on hold 1 hour and they rescheduled for Saturday between 1-6. It's 6 o'clock now and these idiots bailed and pulled a no show and didn't even bother to call.
3 "no shows" for expedited service is enough to warrant legal action for breach of contract.
Tonight was the 4th No Show another moron dispatcher named warren said tech was about to call me that he was on his way.within 1/2 hour HE LIED, tech went home.
Spoke to corporate officer and she took care of everything within minutes. She was unaware of the many customer service issues and dispatchers that have lied 4x.
Amazingly a tech showed up within 2 hours and job completed.
Terrible service...I called to schedule on Feb 10, they said the 1st available appt was on Feb 16, I took it, today I called to confirm and they said it was for Feb 23 not today??? I ask them why would I sch something so far away? They said they had my voice recorded saying that...they didn't let me hear my voice recording so they are also liars...I cancelled my contract with them today. I called somewhere else and someone came to my house today, meanwhile service America has appt 2 weeks from when you call...I don't recommend them AT ALL!

Don't waste your time with this company. Just look at their responses to comment. They don't even give a contact info to reach them. They don't care about resolving issues. They just want your annual payment and then will make you wait ridiculous times for repairs and if you need to take them up on a replacement...it's a complete scam.

My AC recently stopped working. Simple issue could be fixed by the average technician. The Service America technicians had to come multiple days (waste of time and horribly disorganized) and ultimately broke the AC and said I had to get a new unit all together. Fine.
When they sold me the contract initially saying it includes full coverage for full replacement. Only now that I actually need a new AC, they don't cover the full cost only cover up to a very small portion of it and I have to pay the rest out of pocket.
The best part? Service America charges 1.5x higher to sell their AC units to you compared to anyone else.
Never do business with this company.

Dryer not working. Call to schedule a service. The woman that spoke with me wasn't nice at all to start with and they gave me a appointment in a week. I tried to speak to the lady to see what she could do because I was coming back from a trip with lots of clothing to wash and dry. She couldn't care less and was very mean. I was waiting for this appointment for a week and guess what?! The technician didn't come!!!! I didn't leave the house the whole day waiting for this guy to come. Not a call, not a message even after I had made several calls to them to make sure the guy would come no matter what. And they assure me that he would come. The worst service quality I ever experienced!!!!!
WORST! WORST! WORST! So far have scheduled 6 service calls for an icemaker to get fixed. Each time a different guy comes out and always with the wrong part. They don't communicate with each other. Meanwhile good luck having a supervisor call you back to the resove matter. They have the worst, useless, unsympathetic customer service department that will keep you on hold forever and will give you the run around in their hopes that you will give up. Would definitly not recommend buying a contract with them. Your better off buying a new appliance everytime then be aggravated with trying to have them fullfill their service contract. BTW....they still have not been able to fix icemaker.

Appt made but always late, waiting ALL DAY and now want to charge $50 service charge in addition to contract. I dont think so. I didnt renew contract. They have lost my business. I should have quit them years ago. Be bold enough to do it be glad you did. CAC advertises 2 hour wait only. Looking into them- reasonable.

I had a problem to get cold in one room of my apt. Services America went there condemend my unit. I bought the best unit available. I still have the same problem that I had with my old one. I have call services, sale etc... No one returns to check. I had paid another company to check the A/C ducks no problem. They said they sold me the wrong unit. So I do not recommend this company. Was a customer for 15 years and then they decided to charge everyone a $55 CHARGE per visit in addition to the yearly fee. No longer a customer.
Honestly the worst experience. Needed a repair on a shower head in my apartment and was told this part needed would take a week to come in. I scheduled the repair and arranged to take an unpaid day off of work to be home for the repair. On the day of the scheduled repair, they called and told me the part was not in and the had to reschedule. One day of work lost and for really no reason.
I called before our second scheduled repair and requested to schedule for a different day so I could avoid taking another unpaid day off work to be home for the repair. I was told my only option was to schedule a week or further out. I kept the scheduled day and arranged to have a friend be at the apartment to let them in.
Come to the day of the repair - they gave us a window of 1-4pm. They arrived early - my friend was unable to get there early so I was forced to leave work early and have more unpaid time.
The lack of sympathy and flexibility is ridiculous. I would not ever choose to use this company again. One and a half unpaid days of work later and I guess the only benefit is that my shower works again. The worst experience I ve had with a home repair company.

There's nothing to like about Service America. I used them originally for a service contract for more than 3 years and received an adequate level of service considering we only used them 2-3 times. When my AC went caput this past summer 2015 I contacted Service America and decided to go with them for the past purchase and installation. The first month everything appeared to work great, after that my drain line kept backing up and had to have someone come about every month. In October of this year a technician came out and indicated they needed to install some type of condensation bucket to catch the over flow from the drain line and it would cost me $388. I told him that didn't make sense because I would end up changing the bucket all the time. And asked him how much it would be to change the drain line and he said it would be around $300. First of all it didn't make sense to do something that is only a temporary fix and was going to cost me more money. So I decided to replace the drain line and they were supposed to schedule the appointment. Bottom line they never scheduled the appointment and no one ever showed up. In November the drain line starting backing up at least once a week and then about every other day. I once again contacted Service America to schedule appointment and to let them know they dropped the ball onc again. I spoke with someone from customer care and the gave the usual spiel that they would address the situation with management and they would have a the AC manager contact. I received a call from Ritchie the AC manager to proceeded to tell me they were at my property on October 28th which they weren't after a 15 minute exchange it turned out he was looking at someone else's account not mine. Talk about a breach in security. After that exchange an appointment was set and they ended up showing up and the appointment was cancelled because they didn't come prepared and said they needed to go out and buy the supplies and that would take them at least 3 hours so my property manager had to cancel the appointment. Why if they knew what needed to be done did they not come prepared for the job. They told my property manager they would be back on Monday, once again they failed to show up for an appointment. I Monday I once again proceeded to contact Sercice America to find out why they didn't show up when I called them the prior Friday to confirm the appointment and they confirmed the appointment. Once again I've been transferred to multiple department the past 3 days with no resolution and no appointment scheduled to replace the drain line. On Monday I spoke with Stephanie and she said someone could come out on Thu. which was completely unacceptable considering they were supposed to to be there that day I told her I wanted to speak with management and she said someone would contact me this never happened and I had to call back on Tue and once again tried to schedule an appointment. They transferred me to customer care and the person once again told me they would address the situation with management and have Stephanie call me back. I don't know what the point in having customer care department is because they don't do anything except provide excuses and pawn everything off to someone else who also doesn't do anything. As of today I have an appointment this Thu. at this point I have no faith that they will even show up. I would advise anyone looking at Service Amercia for an AC unit or even a service contract I suggest run and don't look back. This has been the worst experience and time wasting experience ever. Customer care is a complete joke and waste of time they don't do anything except apologize and state they'll pass the info to the manager of the department for further review in the mean time I still don't have a new drain line and am waiting and still waiting.

Two years ago they started charging $50 for each service call. I started fixing pretty much everything myself rather than pay $50 copay.
The reason I kept them mostly for Air Conditioning and major emergencies which they used to come the next day (this is Florida).
My air conditioner fan stopped working therefore stopping my Air Conditioner altogether.
I called for service and gave them my credit card for the $50 but could not ome before Saturday afternoon between 1 & 6.
BUT for an additional $75 they have someone the next day.
I gave them an additional $75 as it was so hot.
The Air Conditioner was fixed in 20 minutes.
EXTORTION. They need to have more Air Conditioner repair people in season instead of giving me a story that for the additional $75 they schedule people for overtime.
I will NOT renew my contract in January.
I have always had a pleasant experience with Service America. The techs are courteous and do good work and all the staff I have dealt with act very nice and professional. During Irma they reached out to us and checked on us , which I thought was amazing!!!!
The electrician arrived promptly. He was courteous, neat, knowledgeable and professional. He corrected the problem and left everything just the way he found it. Great job!
We are so lucky to get the same technician, Johnny. He never disappoints us and we learn many things from him!

I have a lifetime guaranteed water heater from Service America, but, My water heater stopped working Sunday January 3rd. I called the next morning and they told me they would come by that day and check it out. The person didn't come until almost 5 pm after waiting all morning and afternoon. After about 20 minutes the man told me he couldn't fix it and blamed my family for braking it. He has to get a part to be able to fix the heater. Which wouldn't come in until the following Tuesday which is the 11th. I get a call today from Service America and informed that the part still hasn't arrived and I have to wait another 11 days until I have to get my water heater fixed. I have 6 kids and a husband and having to constantly boil water for my kids is not helpful. Especially since it's getting chilly outside now in Florida. 3 of my kids are now sick. I've had many issues with Service America. My dyer broke took almost 3 weeks to be fixed. This is the worst possible service you can get. The customer service is rude and have no sympathy whatsoever. So beware when you have a broken applicable and want to get it fixed because they'll probably make you wait a month.
I have been a customer for 9 years. While I have had some annoying issues with them in the past, I stayed with them bc the issues eventually got repaired. It was kindof like being in an abusive relationship. Today I called to get my refrigerator fixed as it is making a horrible noise, and they told me that they cannot be out to fix it for a week! I told them that this was unacceptable and the lady said she would contact the dispatch supervisor and what do you know?!!? NADA! They still cannot be out here for a week. When I caved and said "OK, just giving the appointment for next week.", the lady said that I needed to pay the $45 dollar copay today and thats a new policy. You cannot service my appliance for 7 days, but you want my money today!?!?? This company just keeps getting more and more scummy by the day! Well, and after 9 YEARS as a customer, I cancelled my contract today and am supposed to receive a refund for 90% of the unused portion. I will find another company to service my home, and one with much better reviews than this company! If you are under contract with Service America, please note that you can cancel your contract and get your money back, so do it! If you are reading these reviews to decide whether to use Service America, then I think the reviews speak for themselves. Bye bye Service America and good riddance!! By the way, when I cancelled my contract, the lady on the phone could have cared less. You can hear the utter complacency in her voice.

Did not show up for scheduled service appointment! They did not even bother to call me. What a horrible way to do business. I am extremely disappointed with their lack of service or respect for other people's time.

My elderly mom had a microwave/circulating fan service call in September. After weeks of waiting for a return visit with a replacement part, I called multiple times for her and found out that the unit was condemned and it would not be repaired. (From what I could tell from online searches the part appeared available and it was, in my opinion, too expensive to repair relative to the cost of a new one.) I was told that a check would be cut depending on the current value of the unit. After over three months and numerous phone calls, I finally received a call this morning that a $50 check would be issued to my mom. (holding breath). She, however is still responsible for a $55 service call even though they didn't repair it/chose not to repair it! And of course there was no apology that I had to spend all of the time and effort that I did just so that my mom could receive what she was entitled to. Not impressed with their policy nor their process!
I have service America service contract for few Years. For last 2-years, This company has gone downhill in the service. I called to fix my Air-condition on 8-3-18 . Website said-If you want to fix -will have $ 55 service charge + $ 75 convenience fee. Paid $ 130 for the service call. I waited whole day on 8-4-18 ( supposed to fix air condition before 6 PM). No body responded between hours of 8 am to 6 pm. Left 3 messages , kept on telling that somebody will be there before 6 PM. never showed up. This is shame for this company. It used to be a Great service company, but no more. I will never renew contract with this company. My rating for this company is Zero Star , Good Bye!
I called on August 29th about a toilet leaking onto my floor. I am a 20 year contract holder. I was told that a plumber could not come to my house until September 9th. When I asked what I was supposed to do about the leak she said to turn the water off.. I told het it was the valve that was leaking and she said sorry but that is the best she could ,do. That is not the kind of service that I expect. My contract is up for renewal the October and I probably will now not renew with your company. But it appears that no one will care
We called on Saturday to have the AC fixed, I hoped that the technician will arrive earlier but the rep. said it will only be on Tuesday afternoon.
To my surprise the technician came on Monday around noon, and since the problem was super simple ( one of the electric cables just disconnected) he was able to fix in no time and no need to wait for parts, etc.
I give 4 stars just for the wait time which in the Florida weather is unbearable. I remember when a few years ago when the AC or fridge would break down, Service America would send the technician much earlier. I hope we can go back to those days.

Stay away from this company. I have a contract with them, I called them for a toilet repair in December 2017, it has been almost 5 month and they have not been able to get the problem fixed. After multiple attempts to contact them, all they do is give me the run around. They also refuse to refund the copay or even apply a credit for future repairs. The operators are not very friendly over the phone and they claim that there are no supervisors to speak with.
Everytime we have to get something fixed for example my a/c went out, it is impossible to get a hold of this company. You call them wait on hold for 20 minutes with no answer then select the call back option and they never call back. Most unreliable company ever.

My Service America AC technician, Robert Synmoie, was not only extremely professional but he was also polite, courteous and very respectful. Because of the World Class Service that I continuously experience from Service America through employees like Robert Synmoie(AC), Tanesha Stewart (Customer Care) and Justin Clarke (New Contracts)... I will continue to use their service and to recommend them highly to my family and friends.
On hold for 2 hours 51 min before i gave up. Just in case anyone wants to know the quality of the company. If this is how well they handle a phone call, i can't imagine how badly they screw everything else up.
Horrible customer service. I have to agree with @Donald. The same thing happened to me. I was tending to my crying baby and missed their call by 2 minutes. They said the technician was already out of the area and wouldn't be able to come. I had already been waiting two weeks for the appointment.
This company used to be great (i've been a customer since 2009). However, in recent years, the service level has declined significantly. Late for appointments, or call to re-schedule after you've already taken time off of work and are home waiting for them to arrive. I recently had issue with my washing machine, and after rescheduling the appointment and trying to reschedule a second time, they finally came out to fix. However, they have to order parts, and the service tech told me he would be back in 5 days. Then i get a call from the office telling me it will take them until August 8th (it is July 20th today). DON"T USE THIS COMPANY. They take on more service contracts than they can service. FIND ANOTHER COMPANY
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM SERVICE AMERICA AT ANY COST I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER SINCE 2006 & SERVICE HAS COMPLETELY DETORIATED. I HAVE A CONTRACT WHICH CLEARLY STATES SERVICE AMERICA WILL REPLACE THE UNIT IF ITS IS NOT REPAIRED. I AM WORKING WITH MY ATTORNEY TO MAKE SURE THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN TO ANYBODY.

Its the worst company that anybody would have specially if you are in an emergency like i had ,and its the second time they do the same thing .without caring about what could happen to you or your familly..thats when you would know which company to choose ,when you really need them and they are there for you...i live in florida and air broke with 97 fehrenite and they know that too because there company is in florida so i called them an urgent at. 8:00am when they opened even though my air broke at nightbut i had towait untill morning so they answere ..so the service girl .very rude her nameis LEXY i explain to her what happened and she say well you have to wait untill next week .and i told her its 97 f outside and i have 3 kids wife and mother inlaw they will cook slowly in that heat.she said i cant do anything about it .so itold her plz pass me toa manageror supervisor maybethey can help me so she putme on hold and a supervisor came .but not as rude as lexy but worst ..she didnt even wanna hear nothing .but she said to me as lexy told you .next week is the closest i can help you ..take it or leave it .so i say .i leave it .thats called SERVICE AMERICA ..THEY DONT DESERVE THAT NAME .emagineif it was anothe bigger emergency.maybe you die and they dont care about you ..so i called another AC GUY came and fix the problem in 22 minutes .i pay him to fix it and im paying them withmy contract too .it was the fan broken inside ...but this company its notworth even one star
Can you imagine... Air goes out, fridge dies, toilet breaks/leaks.... you have to wait 3-4 days for them to send someone if you're on one of their plans. Plus, you have to pay for the service call immediately or they won't even book the appointment scheduled for days away. RIDICULOUS. Not as pricey as AHS, but alas, you get what you pay for. 3-4 days, I'm floored. American Home Shield, you owe a Service America a thank you for my securing one of your plans.
Service America is always on time and provides excellent service.
My husband and I bought our house in December and the AC had been installed 7 months earlier. A couple weeks ago we noticed that our AC was leaking and we called service america they informed us our warranty was up because it was past the 1 year guarantee and it would cost $100 to have someone come look at it I said even though you are the ones who installed it? They insisted. We had two other companies come look at it for free who had very high ratings. They told us it looked like it had been installed wrong from the get go. So I called service america back asking if they would come and look since it was wrong from the beginning even though it didn't actually leak until the heat got the best of their crappy job. I spoke to someone in customer service (maintaining my politeness even though this has been extremely frustrating) she got an attitude with me then later informed me that there is nothing they can do because it had to of passed inspection. I'm not sure how they were able to do that because our drip pan was clearly installed diagonal. I did speak to someone in the presidents office later who was politewho should probably retrain their customer service department but was still unable to do anything about there crappy job
I have been using Service America for quite a few years, calling on them to repair everything from appliances to electrical problems They have always responded with their professional demeanor and knowledgeable expertise. We will continue to use them going forward....
Very unprofessional!! from the office staffs to the tech all one in the same. The price is overated!!! The appointment times are not designed for working people. Nothing has a sense of urgency with them.
Scheduled appointment today 7/7/17 between 8:00 A.M. 6:00 P.M. so I did not go to work to be home. Around 3:30 P.M. I decided to call to reconfirm and after waiting on the phone for over 20 minutes listening "We know your time is important" my call was finally answered to be informed that no one will show up today because my appointment was cancelled early morning and as a phone customer service agent the only thing she could do was ask via email for someone to call and explain why no one bothered to give me a call and when eventually a new service could be scheduled . The disastrous details about the related Service America s repair, parts supply and tech support negligence towards this case will be later shared... in the event they don t perform as offered
I am not even done with my experience with these people, but from the very first moment they arrived in my home to fix our dryer...it has been horrendous.
Poor customer service, poor communication, awful bookkeeping and terrible reliability. I am on week 3 and still my dryer is not fixed. No call whether or not our part came in and when we FINALLY got a date on repair and paid for the service, we were told they did not put us on the books and may not have even ordered our part!
Terrible. Terrible. Crappy service. I dread what else these people will do with the rest of this horrid experience. I just want my dryer fixed. lol
Update: It gets better! After everything mentioned above, they put us on the schedule for the following day. Well, now they still can t find the order for the part and have to re-re-re-schedule us for the following week. When we ask to speak to a manager, we get the runaround that there is no manager available.
I m currently piled up with laundry from my baby being sick. Vomit and poop eeeeverywhere! Looking at the past reviews I can see we made a mistake choosing this piss poor company. Get your act together! They don t care about their customers.
I have contracts with Service America on five properties and have been a loyal customer for 20+ years. I called SA to go to a property to fix a broken dryer, was told the dryer needed a new control panel ($396.00) but decided just to replace the dryer ($600+). Old dryer was sitting in my garage for a few weeks when a friend came over, I explained the situation and he tinkered with it for less than 10 minutes and pulled out a purple sock that was caught up in the motor which resolved the problem, the dryer now works perfectly. I phoned customer service to at least have the $45.00 co-payment refunded but that refund was declined by a woman named Linda. Needless to say I will not be renewing my contracts with Service America when they come due in August and have already aligned with a new home contract service. Deeply disappointed!

Terrible customer service. Beware of bait and switch.
Service is horrible! We've had 3 separate appointments scheduled since 4/28/2014 - one we waited ALL day from 8 until 4:40 and finally had to leave - they were a no show.............another one scheduled in early May - waited from noon until 3:30 another no show - can't make it running late - reschedule to today 5/15/14 - they FINALLY made a call to let us know the technician was running late AGAIN........phone didn't get answered BAM they cancelled the appointment without any call back, trying another number, etc. SO now we SIT without a washer until next week OH and the Window is only from Noon until 5 on Monday - SO another day of sitting around WAITING on them to "maybe' show up.
Never Used this company! I just got ripped off. I have the high-end of the service contract and it's been over 4 weeks and my washer is still not fixed. Service technician got into verbal altercation with my wife and he was also made sexist comment "you women don't know anything". I just cancelled the service and they would not refund remaining balance. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Very bad experience with the service. I had a problem with the AC, After paying a concierge, express fee and the parking, the technician said that the problem was not the AC but the breaker, so he switched the bad one with the breaker that works with the stove. This is a wrong procedure, could have cause fire in the unit, We called another Company, long story short the AC had to be replaced. so Service America lost the chance to install a new unit
Worst service ever. After 10 days of waiting for an appointment the technician calls me saying that he was on his way to the property. I drove 1 hr to there and was waiting for him. Next thing I know is that I'm receiving a call from service America saying that he couldn't find parking space and needed to reschedule it. 10 days already passed and nothing was solved. Not the first time I'm having problem with this company. DO NOT HIRE IT

HORRIBLE. Made appointment said it was not made, then scheduled again gave me a 5 hour window and then in the 4th hour I had to call and they said ran late will have to reschedule. Find another service. I would not give any stars but have to put one.
I was told this company was a good one. So I bought their service. I had my ducts cleaned and my air condition overhauled. Paid full price, then I got a discount coupon. Too late to use. My fridge broke and since I just purchased the plan, I paid full price for the part and the service call. The fridge broke again this time the service was done under the contract. Still broke I called again, the repair person came out a second and third time. Still broke. The next service man came out - DID nothing- because the fridge problem only happened some times. It would stop working for hours. All the food would defrost-spoil- then work again. This happened every day. I had an other service call for the 31st. 12PM to 5PM waited 6 hours. NO ONE CAME OR EVEN CALLED to say they were not coming. VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS COMPANY! I called and got an answer service who said someone would call me, that night NO CALL. Fridge still broke.
Need A/C repair on phone pushed button after button around in circles. After going around for 20min I figured how to get a human. Ofcouse I was put on hold for another 20 min to get a person who unsimpatheticaly said repairman would come it 3 days ! Buy a contract $500. plus, pay $65. for a service call, then wait 3 days for A/C service. She also said for 24 hr service it would cost me an extre $200. In Aug.I paid over $200. for a "covered appliance" repair, the "part" wasn't covered .... this contract feels like a ripoff.
Waste of money. I have a contract and they sent me technician to fix 3 different things: AC 2 times, Dish Washer 1 time. First time AC repair the guy never was able to flush my AC. So it overflowed a week after that and I had to pay a contractor to fix it. I still have to pay the copay. Second time the AC broke, the technician changed a completely different part. I ended calling a contractor to fix the part he changed by mistake and fixing the right one. I still had to pay the copay. The dishwasher. They came 3 times and at the end the answer is: get a new dishwasher. I still had to pay the copay. I paid for their contract plus the copays, and I already spent ten times more because they cannot fix anything (New dishwasher, new AC parts, flooding service plus time). And there is no emergency service. Everything has to be one to two business days. Everyone else has emergency services. I explained them why it was an emergency and they still didn t care. They came with the contract word, and they completely forget the service or human word. They didn t care about my emergency; they just threw me the contract in my face. Yes they return your money pro-rated but I still spend 10 times more. I hate companies where you are a number, and not a human beign.
Have had contract for 20+ years, but service is getting bad. Called for covered plumbing service for broken faucet on kitchen sink which was leaking so badly the water had to be shut off. Service America gave me a repair date TEN DAYS away. Representative told me that was the best date they could give me. She told me to wash dishes and use water from the bathroom for cooking purposes. I had to call outside plumber and pay weekend rates because working kitchen sink is necessary high priority and hygenic necessity. I am probably nit going to renew my contract. Shame on them.
Whatever you do do not buy an AC unit and have it installed by Service America. I bought a unit in 2007 or 2008 and had it installed. I have not had a problem till Tuesday when the evaporator motor went down this is not Service America's fault but when I had two different companies out to fix it. They said who ever installed the air handler did not do it to code. The way it was installed you can not get to the components of the air handler. I was told that if a permit was pulled it would not have passed inspection. I was told that it would have taken replumbing and many other things. I had a Comfort Consultant out and he said nothing about this. You see I worked for Service America and got a good deal on the unit and I trusted Service America. If they can do this to employee at the time just think what they will do to other customers. I'm very disappointed in Service America and what they did to me. So please be cautions when dealing with very important things. Just to let you know I know longer work for Service America and haven't for 7 years. I'm not a disgruntled employee. The company was very good to me but installing this unit was not do properly and people should no.
Dear Service America: See if you can read this. My A/C unit I bought from you has not worked correctly since it was installed. Service America did not think having a heater would be important in winter, so we froze on the coldest part of the year. Still no decent response. I paid over $6,000 for your air conditioners.. Now since Service America seems to think this ok, I've had it! Why is this posted here? Because Im tired of being on HOLD and being told someone would get back to me.. See if this gets the message to you? THis is sad, your service people are pretty good.. but.. really this is a disaster!
I seriously don t recommend it to any one they take hours to answer customer service they say they will call you back but they never do I waited 4 hours for someone to answer no one answered.I m very disappointed with their awful service.
