Service America is one of the biggest rip off organizations out there. They diagnosed our AC problem as a faulty fan tried to charge us $790to install a new one on an air conditioner we bought from them 3 years ago that was still under warranty. The $790 was to install the fan (labor) as the part was warrantied. It was estimated that in total, the time to do this would take about 30 minutes, but since we no longer have a service contract with them, the charge was for the labor. A ridiculous charge. When another AC repair company came out to take a look, they said the fan was fine and no repairs were necessary. Had the fan been faulty, they would have installed it for $275, over $500 less. The AC issue is believed to have been related to a power surge..
