The LG front load high efficiency washer is beautiful and appealing but buyer beware! Beneath the beauty is a host of trouble that's not worth it. Our new home that we purchased recently came with a washer that was manufactured a year ago. Shortly after we started using it, it started making loud noises and then stopped working. When we called LG customer service they brushed us off saying it was out of warranty. They recommended a third party to fix the washer and after over a month and $500 in parts and labor, they still don't seem to know what's wrong with the machine. To me, when you pay over $1k for a product there is an implicit expectation that it would last a couple years before breaking down. LG just absolved itself of any responsibility by saying the machine was manufactured over a year ago so too bad for us! At this point we are so frustrated that we might just abandon the repair and purchase another brand. Buyer beware! Check out the reviews before you make the mistake of purchasing this substandard product and get stuck with a lemon from a company that doesn't even care about you.

FutureTel Warranty Repairs on LG V60

I have needed warranty repairs twice on my LG V60 I was referred to FutureTel and both times the repairs were completed in a timely fashion and the two different repairs needed were corrected with no further problems. I can not say enough good things about the LG warranty program and FutureTel's quality workmanship and communication with me.

I have had several LG phones including 2 LG3 phone...

I have had several LG phones including 2 LG3 phones. They were durable fast a nice size no complaints. Except that they crash around the 2 year mark. Maybe its coincidence maybe not. I have an LG4 which has a boot loop issue meaning it shuts off and can not turn back on (at the 2 year mark hmmm....). This is warranted by LG which I thought was great. Until they sent the device to futuretel whom informed me because the moisture indicators were red they would not fix the boot loop issue under warranty and furthermore the repair would be over 700.00
I had the phone opened up by a shop in barrie that has served me well in the past. There was no moisture damage or corrosion on the board or terminals, furthermore the phone turned on fine the day I sent it in. LG offered a flat rate of 170.00 to fix the problem they created. Sadly I will not be buying LG products in the future. Customers should be informed if there is an issue with a defective product so they are not put in a bad situation like this and the manufacturer should be held accountable.

We purchased a LG Counter depth 24" Fridge "Platinum Silver" colour and looks fantastic! EXCEPT that make no matching appliances in the same "Platinum Silver" colour range... Has to be one of the dumbest concepts ever and would not buy their products again. I really did not think we were buying an item that does not match anything else they sell.

I spoke to a customer service associate this morning and her name was Ray associate # 999290 and it was very nice to speak to someone that could give you all the right answers and was kind and curious at the same time. Ray made my day and if we only had more customer service reps like her there would be fewer complaints and more recognition not only for her but for LG as well.

Becareful when you call in for repairs to your mobile devices, I called in for the recognized issue with the lgg4 boot loop. I did not feel comfortable sending the device with all of my personal info/ contacts/ banks accounts and passwords. I asked if they would send me a motherboard and they said NO, asked if I could send the phone in without the motherboard they said NO. I asked if I can purchase a motherboard they said NO! I asked to escalate to supervisors and superiors and I got no where. In my opinion, seems that LG has a thing against honoring and respecting ones personal Identity and infomation. That was the first and last LG product I ever buy, I would suggest for anyone buying and LG product to look up reviews on products and customer service before buying any product.

Horrible customer service, you'll spend an hour explaining your story, feeling like you're really getting somewhere, only to be transferred to a "supervisor" who's one dimensional ( might as well be a recording ) as he can only say sorry and that he will more the Insatiafaction.
WORD TO THE WISE LG ... You can spend millions on your advertiserments and billboards but word of mouth and customer satisfaction is what puts money in your pockets and keeps your customers coming back. I'm finished with LG, horrible customer service and terrible cheap product that's just overpriced with a fancy logo

If i could give 0 stars, I would, LG is the absolute worst worst worst. I've been fighting with them for about 6 months now to get my oven range replaced... They actually replaced it the first time because the racks were so tight and scratching the enamel inside the oven. Now the second one we received does the same exact thing... except this time, they do not want to replace it. I've never had such a piece of sh*t oven in my life. The only thing that is worse than the oven is their terrible excuse of a customer service center in the Philippines. I've made a habit of calling every week now, they say they are escalating to upper management just to delay any response for weeks. Then I get a call back from a person speaking in french for some reason that tells me they are not doing anything about it. Every time, they give me the run around and nothing gets done. Every time I call, the reps are so lost and keep me on hold for hours. I'm sure they try to do it on purpose to get rid of me.

Avoid LG at all costs. especially this Model Stove which should be recalled: LSE4611ST

I don't understand how a company like this is still operating by putting out products that are defective and customer support that don't give a dam about you. The Philippine robots i speak to don't help AT ALL. I've told my story to all my friends and viewers. Now LG will miss out on a lot of potential clients in Montreal. Too bad, all they had to do was help me. My next step is to go see consumer protection. I hope this company burns to the ground soon and judging by a lot of the reviews here, it won't take long until it does.

LG should be embarrassed to even have a customer service... my TV broke after 2 weeks of use and after 3 weeks of frustration going back and forth with them, some representative that didn't even identify himself just left me a voicemail stating that they don't have the part to fix it and are washing their hands of the problem... leaving it up to me to contact the store I bought it from to get a replacement.... absolutely insulting that no one with seniority will call me back and that their documented promise of replacing the TV is not being honoured... I strongly recommend that no one considers LG for their personal entertainment... it's a TV for God's sake not the space shuttle.. how can you not have parts to fix it??

How long are we going to buy and put up with THE WORST EVER warranty customer service???? LG booked and missed the service appointment 4 times without notifying me of the cancellations. The amount I lost in wages waiting for them at home, I could have bought 2 new appliances and still have money left over.
LG customer service is only good at making apologies. If LG contracted reliable and knowledgeable repair technicians the reviews would improve from the obligatory 1 star. Other appliance manufacturers are doing it.

my appliance was covered under warranty.
5/ Once I said no, the automated operator passed me of to
never, never land and no one ever picked up the phone.
6/ The original operator did actually inform me of a Service
Company in my area. When I called, I got their answering machine.

I will never buy another LG Appliance again, as the after market

The latest is a dishwasher that needs a $50 part that is listed on their website but I can't buy in Canada. They want to send a service person @ $150 plus parts. The stove is 6 months old and they are not helping one bit. The Tech from our area has sent a number of emails out to their Techs and no response so he can't fix the stove until he gets the right specs and documentation from LG... this is terrible terrible service... so terrible...I can't stress it enough. LG Electric Range 30'"s/c range - SS Item LRE6321ST model, is defective, something wrong with the electric power panel, flat burners will go up the temperature to a high burning point and will NOT turn down unless the stove is unplugged from the wall, the oven switch can go on but will not turn OFF...Is 100% Hazardous.
LG head office customer service responded to my concern with additional charges for having a technician to fix the problem. The problem here is not a wear and tear is a Manufacturing problem!!!

I bought there 55 inch C7 Oled tv in Dec 2017. The panel had a green hue in the mid of the panel.
Call LG warranty, and the told me the tv was over used and they don't cover it under warranty.
So LG expect you to buy a $1800 tv and get only 2 years of use out of it hummm... Life is Good for LG only!

If I could give NO STARS I would. I had a horrible experience with LG and believe they should be black listed on the Consumer List. I had a such a rough time getting in touch with a manager of any kind, they eavesdrop on your conversations when they state they are "putting you on hold" because they just mute the phone and listen to everything you are saying and then unmute and start commenting on your conversation, they contradict themselves, they make promises and go back on them, they deny they said so and so but when I tell them to check their recordings (which they admit they have) but at NO POINT do they state they are even recording the conversations for quality purposes or anything. If I could everyone, DO NOT PURCHASE ANYHTING FROM LG. When it comes to repairs/issues with the product, they are no help at all and all of your money goes down the drain. They try and give you $500 for something you purchased only a few years ago and paid $4000 for.

Purchased this LG55UH6150 last Feb 2018. In October of 2018 the TV fell because of the cheaply made plastic legs. We were told over and over again by Frank it would be covered under the warranty if the leg was defected. The tech came in Dec 2018 to verify what we told LG the leg was defected and said "it happens all the time, it should be covered as it's a manufactures defect". 2 weeks later Jan of 2019 we were told it wasn't covered because it wasn't designed to fail. By Feb 2019 we reached out to the company who sold us the TV for help since LG has been giving us the run around for 4 months(factory warranty has expired because it's been 1 year). The company told us they would help us get a hold of LG as they agreeded it should be replaced. March of 2019 we reached out to LG again because we wanted to get the ball rolling. After being told a manager would call us back 3 weeks ago, we were finally told our warranty expired and we can go kick rocks. I find it unbelievable that at a big box company has no managers available, and their "supervisiors" treat PAYING customers like garbage. This is our first and last LG product. You don't stand by your products, nor do you stand by your warranty. I don't expect to be contacted by you at all because you couldn't care less about the little guy. Giving customers false hope isn't the way to run a business.

Days later, I had to call them to see if they received it and what was happening They said they would f/u with a quote. Called again a few days later and finally received a quote via email for over $500! Called back to say you are insane to charge this much and was offered the flat rate of $149.99 with a 90 day warranty ( which I wasn't offered the first time). So I paid the flat rate. A week later I get an email from them asking if I wanted to go ahead with the repairs. I noticed in the thread of the email from the outsourced repair company that they received this info the same day I paid for it but they took a week to sent it to me and still hadn't started working on it???? Again, another call. Said it was being worked on now. Another week goes by, called back, they said they haven't heard from the outsource but if I wanted to call them I could. That is YOUR job not mine. I waited another 3 days, called back, got the same response. This time I said yes I will call them. I did and they said they were waiting to hear from LG as they mixed up the order numbers . (Insert screaming here). After a few more calls, it finally got fixed. It took 29 days. I complained about the service but was told, we don't compensate. A week later the phone died again. Several calls ensued but was consistently told, we don't compensate. Got put through to someone from another department who did the patronizing and pacifying thing and said I can send it to her personally and she would take care of it. Send it off, sent her the tracking number via email. Waited yet another week and followed up. She said she didn't see my email and didn't know who the phone belonged to but yet it was being looked at ( how can you do that if you don't know who owned the phone or what the problem was???) Again no update on all the poor customer service, no service recovery, etc. Still waiting.... #LGcustomerservicefail

We bought the washer/dryer combo about four weeks ago, and realized that no matter what setting we used, none of our clothes were drying. When we contacted customer service, they initially said the duct was full. We explained that the duct had been fully cleaned right before we installed the dryer, and they then proceeded to tell us that they can send a technician, but emphasized that if it was due to a fault of our own, that we would be charged a service fee. We asked for the technician to come in and booked for the upcoming Thursday. Thursday, no one showed up, and when we contacted customer service they said there was a miscommunication, and scheduled again for the following Tuesday. AGAIN, Tuesday no one showed, and LG again said it was a communication error.. They rescheduled again for the next week. Prior to the new appointment time, they called and emphasized at least twice the fees that would be applied if it were a problem with the installation rather than the dryer. Finally, this week Tuesday, a technician showed up. He showed up alone, and so was unable to lift the dryer and properly check the unit. Through the tests he was able to perform alone, he concluded that there was indeed a problem with the unit. THOUGH HE IDENTIFIED THERE WAS A PROBLEM, he said that to write a report, he needs to come back again with another technician to help him check the dryer thoroughly. When asked when that would be, he was unable to give us a date, and left. Contacting both Lowes, where we purchased this appliance, and again contacting customer service, they refused to give us a refund for the product until the official report was written up... As of now, we have a dysfunctional, useless dryer, terrible customer service that refuses to competently help fix the issue, and have gone more than three weeks without being able to dry our laundry. We are SO disappointed with this company, and their lousy customer service.

Terrible service!!!!! We received a prorated offer as the fridge was still under warranty but not repairable. We meet the terms of compensation ( buy another fridge and send them the receipt). Well a month later and they will not respond to our emails nor is there every anyone available to answer the phone.

I'm very disappointed in my LG Television and and the company. They don't stand behind their product. Bought my television in 2014 and in 2015 had a new main board put in it and now in 2019 has broken down again but no one wants to stand behind the product even though the warranty just ran out 6 months ago as I took out an extended warranty. Do not suggest buying an LG.

It was 4 days outside the warranty.(obviously a lemon) I emailed LG and was basically told I was SOL and had to take it in for service. Thanks for all the help LG. Ill be taking it to a dumpster and buying a monitor from a reliable brand.

In May 2018 I bought an OLED TV. For eight months the lip sync did not work properly, not to mention other sound problems. I spent about 10 hours in total with their Phillippine customer "service" department. without any luck . Their Toronto contact system is strange to say the least. Several incompetent technicians eventually came to the house with little success.
GOOD NEWS: On January 29 2019, a wise old technician by the name of Majid Markous came and fixed the problem by means of a software update. Blessings upon Majid.
I will never buy another LG product. I have had very good success with Samsung.

I almost never leave reviews, but I have reached my limit with this company & their third party company Standard Appliances. Please reconconsider before buying ANY LG product. Not only are their products horrible but their "customer service" is even worse. My fridge is 5 years old and has unfortunately broken down. I like any person called LG and they advised an "outside" company who they use had to look at the problem. The technician from this Standard Appliance company came within a couple of days and diagnosed the fridge as "unrepairable due to a leak" The gentleman advised me it was $168 for his time and will take 3 DAYS to properly put a report together to LG and I would be contacted once they came up with an agreement. For 3 WEEKS I was going back and forth between Standard Appliances and LG as no report was being done and nothing was being dealt with. LG would simply always say they are waiting for a report and said I had to try and get it from standard. After 3 weeks the report was finally sent however technician did not take pictures resulting in having to come back. Once that was done the technician told me himself pictures would be sent the same day and everything should proceed as normal. A few days go by and nothing. I contacted LG once again and they said they recieved a report stating the fridge is "repairable"!! I contacted Standard Appliances and he said he did a more "indepth analysis" and saw it was repairable. He then said he could fix it for $1200. I advised I did not want him to touch anything. He then tried to negogiate price to $800. At this point I have almost lost my mind. I contact LG and they adivised will see based on "repairable" parts if they can get it covered under warranty. I followed up with them today for them to tell me the technician sent his report that someone had "tampered" with our fridge therefor no longer leaving in the hands of LG nor Standard appliance. If this is not the biggest run around and scam, I don't know what is. LG may be "cheaper" but in the end they will get your money somehow.

I called and reported the matter and sent photos. They sent me the wrong piece - they sent a bottom rack that does not even fit my model. I called a second time and explained their error. I will never buy with them. Have a fridge that's 2 years old and it broke. 2 weeks later and still no repair person coming to fix their fridge, which I have to pay for FYI. Hundreds of dollars of food went to waste and I have called in maybe 10 different times to get a date and they say no one date is available yet. Apparently you can only get parts through LG. What a mess.. the agents are useless.

By far the worst customer service in the entire industry! Would give 0 starts if possible....bought a dishwasher and right out of the box it wasn't working (clearly a lemon). I had to wait (as per LG's policies) for 3 service visits to my house before they would even look at replacing the unit, even the service department could tell after the first visit that the washer was broken and suggested replacement .After nearly 6 months and several hours of speaking to customer service I was no further along .LG finally agreed to replace the broken unit- but said I had to wait until they had new stock arrive from Mexico .After waiting nearly 2 months (they told me it would take no more than one month), they gave me another option to buy a replacement instead (funny stores were fully stocked with my washer, but LG refused to transfer one, as they truly only care about servicing the retailers and not end consumers) .Long story short- 8 months after original purchase- and 3 months after filling out the paperwork for a "refund" I'm still awaiting for "VP" to approve the refund- whats even more frustrating is LG's service company picked up my "broken" washer over a month ago, and still say they haven't received confirmation from the "warehouse" that it is sitting there- meaning they are further delaying the refund until they receive a "confirmation" .LG has no interest in its consumers once they have your money- there is no way to speak to a decision maker, and judging by the other comments on this page- this seems to be common practice for their company .Buyers beware- spend your money elsewhere!

DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS - customer service is horrible. What LG advises their service department to tell upset customers is horse sh@#t. LG does not provide good service to their customers, especially when it comes to cell phones. Had an LGG4... the phone had an issue which caused it to run on a constant bootloop (wouldn't run passed the boot screen) . Even after LG claimed it was THEIR cause, all they could provide afterward for their consumers was an "extended" warranty which is 24 months instead of the 12 months ALTHOUGH MANY consumers were NOT AWARE of this warranty extension until after the warranty was up as LG FAILED to contact & notify their consumers!! Exuse: millions of customers to notify..how would they notify so many. Well..ask other companies LG, and they'll teach you a thing or two.

I was not made aware of this warranty extension, swallowed another 2 year contract with our phone company & payed out of MY CONSUMER pocket to purchase a new phone (thank god not LG). When... LG could have simply advised me and the phone could have been sent in for repair. LG thinks or claims to be doing us a favour with this warranty extension when really if the cause of the boot issue is soley on LG, there shouldn't be a DEADLINE/WARRANTY on the consumer to have their phone fixed and if there is a warranty....WARN your consumers of this so they don't have to PAY your F@#@IN FLAT FEE of $149.99 for repairs that have to be made to the phone that were caused by LG in the first place. Customer service dept. had me calling back several times complaining until they then advised me to send a "proof of purchase" form (which I had trouble getting too since it was a year and a half back at some store) to some other LG department and even then I'm not sure if my phone will be fixed. They can't even tell me why they'll be using the proof of purchase or how it works... I'm guessing they'll be using the purchase date instead of when the phone was made so it's within the warranty??? I bought a refrigerator on 6/9/2013 and it was delivered to us after a week. But recently, it has been acting up and there is a loud noise coming from it constantly. Due to the noise the fridge is not cooling the food properly and is constantly a nuisance to all of us. We spent a lot of money on this product and it is already giving us problems, yet when we called customer service, they told us that we would have to pay around 200 dollars plus taxes. My LG top loading washing machine broke down over a week and a half ago, I called another service repair company who was going to come to my home the next day. I call LG customer service they call a technician who then calls me to book an appointment if they ever call?? My day off of work was spent by the phone the whole day waiting for a tech to call me, it was on a Wed to book on the Fri. No one called! I call LG and now they have no appointments for Fri. Someone will call Thurs to book for Tues. I leave my credit card and info for my mom (who is dying of cancer) to wait by the phone all day for the call. I was promised by LG that they would call 10am EST. I call from work on my lunch to check in and no one called, I call after work and no one called. I call LG AGAIN when I get home and now again I am told that there are no appointments on Tues and someone will call me on Friday to book next Wed or Thurs. Where to start... LG customer service staff are nothing but liars and scammers !!!!!!!!!!! My $2,000.00 3D TV's screen quit and went black so I called LG.. I was told "No worries we will fix your tv and there will be no charge to you. The entire repairs will be paid for 100 % by LG. The next day my tv was picked up. Upon it's return I asked if it was fixed. I was told nope. The tv needs a new panel so you have to call LG. I called and tore a strip of the idiots for 2 hours. I was finally told to email them the receipt and they would decide what to do with my tv and get back to me. 2 weeks later I come home to a voice mail message saying all the repairs on my tv are complete !!! I was FURIOUS as the non working tv was still sitting in my damn living room so I called the idiots again. After getting disconnected twice I finally talked to ACE (Yup another LG idiot) who I told that I don't give a damn what's wrong with the tv, they better damn well fix it since I was origionally told all the repairs were covered by LG 100%. Finally, after another lengthy conversation ACE GARANTEES ME that she has just scheduled my tv to go in and be fixed and she has authorized the repair shop to fix whatever is wrong and if it can't be fixed it is to be replaced all paid for by LG.... The repair shop says they have never been given that authorization and can't do anything about my tv. Now my calls are ignored.... I for one and simply filing a law suit against LG for ANY AND ALL COSTS ASCOTIATED WITH GETTING MY TV REPLACED including the purchase price of that paperweight I bought off the scammers in the first place... I feel sorry for those folks on the customer support line, they can't do anything for customers except anger us. The fault resides squarely on LG and the quality of their products. This is the 2nd time it broke, both times it takes a technician up to 4 days to show up, then they don't have the part, then the part is on back order,.... blah blah blah... excuses, poor service. Awful service!!! Never will I buy an LG fridge again. Ive been waiting for 2 months for a CORRECT part for my water valve on our fridge. Sears is no better with the service call. Every time I have to wait for the appointment window and then explain the problem again to a new service person, Sears wont send the same tech out. Then the incorrect part is provided by LG.

Ridiculous!!! The product is not worth any amount of headache...let alone this exhausting process.

Probably one of the worst customer service departments we have ever come across...

We scheduled an appointment for service on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 to have someone to come to our place, that was suppose to be on Friday, January 27 between 8:30-4:30.

We called 3 times to ask when the service tech might possibly show up and was told "we just put out a call to the tech, we will let you know shortly". As 4:30 pm came about we called again to make sure that the scheduled appointment was going to be honoured only to find out that it was changed without our knowledge to January 31.

We have been without our fridge since the 24th, had to through out all our food that needed to be refrigerated. This is no way to run a customer service department or treat customers.

I can 100% say that I will no longer by LG products and do my best to discourage anyone I talk to.

We made a big mistake changing brands of appliances we always bought.
We have bought over 8 different sets of appliances in the past 3 years for our investment properties from Samsung and kitchenaid and never had any problems.
This last time the salesperson in Bestbuy encouraged us to go with LG, the fridge has been nothing but headache and problems, in the past 7 months it broke down twice and every time we wasted tons of food, fruits and vegetables and never got a penny from LG has we were promised.
STAY AWAY FROM LG, I don t know how they are still in business, we should have read these reviews before we purchased.

I own an LG fridge - the water dispenser tube broke and started leaking _ I called LG customer service and arranged for a technician to come - the technician came, looked at the fridge and said he will have to go back and order a part - I later get a call from LG that part is not available but they would offer a prorate for me to replace my fridge - and guess what - with the prorate offered - I would have to shove out $1500 at least to buy a fridge similar to what I have - so I decline the prorate offer and request for them to order the part - that I was told had to be shipped from South Korea and would take a couple of months - today - its been more than 6 months!!! The executive service team guy that I am in touch with(BTW he wouldnt return emails in time- customer service lady disconnected my call -the email to customer service never got me an answer) says there is still not EAT for the part- so much for 'Life's Good' at LG - totally frustrated with LG! Worst customer service I have ever encountered, i had booked a warranty call for a 6 month old 55''LCD smart TV. Once it was booked we got a call the following day saying they had to cancel the appointment due to not having a technician available to come out. They rescheduled the appointment again and on the day they where suppose to show up they called a few hours before saying they had to cancel because they where busy. Called head office in Toronto to speak with a manager or Supervisor in customer support and he was as helpful as the incompetent people that work below him, The person i spoke with in head office in Toronto is named Josh he's apparently the Supervisor/Manager in customer support. I would give them a ZERO rating if possible. We bought a new LG fridge in July 2019 at Home Depot, we waited 3 weeks for the delivery. Last week the fridge started making a loud noise. We called the service department for a service call, after 27 minutes on the phone, they told us to adjust the doors. That was not the problem, they sent a tech 7 days later, he was very nice, understanding and respectful. The part that is broken is on back order for two months, HE SAID we need a new fridge. So we called LG only to be told this has to be approved by 3 departments and no time line was given. They did offer to give us up to $200.00 for a bar fridge. We are a family of 5 - one baby, one dog and 4 adults. A beer fridge will not work for us. They also said once we purchased the beer fridge to take a picture of the receipt and send it to them.. Payment for this would take 6 to 8 weeks. LG is not customer service friendly. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS. I hope we do not have to wait MONTHS TO GET OUR NEW FRIDGE.

I purchased an LG refrigerator about a month ago, over $2,000. The left door without ice maker or water cooler closes much faster and harder than the right door. The right door is perfect.

I ve been on the phone countless times with a number of people that keep telling me because it refrigerates my food, the fridge is fine.

The technician that came out to my house said it is a manufactured error and he can t fix it so replacing it with the same model will result in the same issues.

LG is now telling me to go back to Home Depot, so shoot the messenger. With all of this Corona stuff going on it s a 60 minute wait to speak with HOme Depot. I m not sure what they can offer me but I doubt they can offer me more than what the head office of LG could.

I will never buy an LG product again, I will never recommend LG to anyone and I will visit Home Depot when everything settles down.

I can only hope that LG takes their customers seriously and sees this scathing review.

First of all let me say that the Technician who actually completed the repair was amazing, this review does not apply to him in any way. However LGs customer service up to that point was horrible. The compressor went on our Fridge- was bought Jan 2018 broke down June 2019, one year warranty expired. Called LG Canada and waited on phone for 45 mins, finally they answered said compressor and labour was covered. Hold on the line so they could look up dates to send someone- our call was dropped. Called again and the predicted waiting time was another 45mins to speak to someone - did the call back option and was called back 2.5 hours later! Story changed and labour was not covered. Between seeing what we could do to reset fridge, diagnosing it, figuring out when techs were available I probably spoke to 3 different people. They all highly suggested the flat rate option of $330 because the labour apparently took 3-4hours to replace the compressor, the guy wasn t even here an hour! Not only that but I couldn t book the guy over the phone it had to be done online, which is a waste of time when I m already on the phone, but whatever I did it. LG gave me two options from contracted out techs and I booked the first one, rearranged my whole work schedule to accommodate just to find out a day later that he can t do it because they don t replace compressors (why were they even an option!?) called LG back waited another hour to get ahold of someone then was told the day I booked for repair wouldn t work for them so had to wait 2 days longer! And ended up having to miss a day of pay to accommodate them for the expected 3-4hour compressor replacement that only actually took 50mins! Called LG back because we were mislead that we would save money if we did flat rate of $330 as Opposed to the 98$hourly rate. LG customer service straight up said if the guy was working hourly he would have taken longer! LG has warranty for their compressors themselves because they know they have issues! Train your techs and follow up with actual replacement times instead of wasting our time! Not only did they try to blame it on the parts required for the compressor replacement, as they don t actually repair the compressors they replace them only- that s how they Tried to spin the flat rate costs even though before it was all about how much time it would take. If the compressor is covered under warranty any parts needed to replace and make that compressor work should be covered under the compressor warranty it s part of the compressors functionality!
Absolutely horrible customer care that was very misleading and a wast of personal time, also they have error codes that show on the fridge screen if the compressor is a common issue then they should probably have an error code for that, but they don t, your food just goes bad and you get put through the ringer over the phone and have to wait a week for repairs and pay a misleading outrageous cost. Very dissatisfied with LG and will not be buying they re products again
