What we do
Trustburn is an independent review platform: consumers research and rate real businesses, and businesses build a public profile, respond to feedback, and earn trust with a track record they don't control the wording of. Neither side can quietly edit the record — that's the point.
How moderation works
Every review goes through automated and manual checks before it counts toward a business's public rating — looking for patterns like duplicate content, incentivized-but-undisclosed reviews, and reviews with no evidence of a real interaction with the business. Businesses can respond publicly to any review, dispute one they believe is fabricated, or request removal of reviews that violate our guidelines — but they can't simply delete a genuine bad review because they don't like it. That tension, kept honest on both sides, is what makes the rating mean something.
Who we are
Trustburn was founded in 2019 as an independent platform — not owned or run by any of the businesses listed on it, and not a paid directory where a listing itself has to be bought. Reviews are free to read and free to write; businesses pay only for optional tools on top (responding, visibility, reputation management), never for the reviews themselves to exist.
