Oatlands House/Navarra Venues is one of the best receptions in Sydney. Incredible service for our wedding. We were extremely happy with the support in planning, help on the day, organisation, food, style and communication. A special thank you to Korrine and Ashley for their incredible service to us. We had the best wedding and are so happy!!
I attended a wedding there yesterdaiy. It was an amazing experience from drinks on the verandah to the reception in Rose room. I can't fault anything. I felt like a VIP. The house is gorgeous and the staff were amazing. The food was divine. Loved the fireplace in the room.
I got married at Oatlands House about a year and a half ago. I had a excellent customer service with Calvin and signed the contract to have our wedding there. I was excited to have my wedding there until I met with the wedding coordinator, Georgina. She was a challenge to work with and did not do her job properly. These are the problems I encountered:
1. I asked if we can start the reception 30mins later to give us time for our photo shoot and she said that I would have to pay extra! Are you kidding me? Just for 30mins! She told me that my guest would have to leave because they can t have them lingering around the venue for 30mins before the reception starts! How ridiculous does that sound! The venue just wants to have you pay more money!!!
2. Wedding rehearsal- she told me that we need to hurry up because there was another couple who was coming to use the venue. During this time, she was no where do be seen and didn t assist with anything. We tried to finish as quickly as we can and to our surprise, there was no couple who showed up after 30mins. She clearly lied to us and I wish we could have spent more time instead of rushing our rehearsal. What a terrible experience already!!!
3. On our wedding day she was no where to be seen and didn t even congratulate us! Some of my guest complained that they didn t have tea or coffee, saying that they ve run out of clean cups! How ridiculous is that!
Once you ve signed the contract and they have your money, customer service goes down the drain! Oatlands House was a beautiful venue, if they had better and kinder wedding coordinators, I would give it a 5 out of 5! But because of the bad service that Georgina has provided, I would never ever go back there again! It s so disappointing, because I really love the beautiful gardens and venue!
Beautiful venue for a wedding as a function centre, food was inconsistent amongst the guests.
I had my formal here a few months ago. The place looked amazing, but the room was a little small. However, the garden was very pretty! The service provided by the waiters was great, but they messed up my food. As a lactose intolerant individual, I cannot have any source of dairy in my meals. I was given 2 dietary requirement cards, but they gave me the wrong main and dessert. Luckily, I was able to swap without any problems. I was supposed to have the steak, but they gave me the lasagna. For dessert, they gave me the ice cream, but I was able to swap it for the dairy-free option. Nothing special about the food, but good atmosphere.
have never written a review in the past and feel obligated to warn any person who is thinking of marrying at this place to beware. Attended my nieces wedding recently and was so excited for her big day. Food disappointing entrees cold and mains served raw including the chicken. did not eat a thing and when I complained together with all the guests at my table that the food throughout the evening was not to standard and the service of drinks did not exist all evening I was told to write a letter to management and the waiter walked away. Will never return to this establishment again. Feel for my sister who worked so hard to have the perfect day for her daughter. My niece is devastated as all her guests gave her the same feedback.
The venue was beautiful, staff was very professional and friendly. Foodwise - I really enjoyed the creme brulee, though wasn't a quite fan of either of the mains.
The venue itself is stunning. Event planners were amazing UNTIL the day of our function. We arrived 30 minutes early for our engagement party in September to add our own decorations to the room. We were not greeted by our event planner and never saw them that day, despite asking wait staff where they were. We were left in the very incapable hands of two wait staff, one of which barely spoke English. Our tables were not set properly, table centrepieces were dirty with smear marks, glassware still had lipstick etc. We had to constantly hassle wait staff to get their act together. Our guests started to arrive and were served one third of a glass of champagne only, and this is no exaggeration! Again, we chased wait staff and asked them to fill guests glasses and ensure our guests were well looked after. It was a constant struggle dealing with wait staff like that on the day and really ruined our experience of Oatlands House. We left feeling exhausted, and like we had cheapened out on our guests. One thing that also surprised us was that our event planner never bothered to check in with us after the event to see how it all went. You would think that they might look after and follow up a newly engaged couple in the hope that we might hold our wedding with Oatlands House! I guess I am glad that we had this experience for our engagement party and not for our wedding at least, which we were at one point considering.
A great location for a wedding or a sick as party or a informative conference. They have french doors. French doors are nice aren't they?

Nice place and the food was OK but I really did not like the service. Staff could have been a little more accommodating.
Venue looks nice but some staff had been extremely rude on previous occasions, last visit was much better with a new manager I had never seen before.
Staff were off the charts. So good. Esperanzo in particular (may have not been his name but close to that.) Vegan friendly and beer after beer. What a great night. Great place

Nice place with grounds, near to Parramatta. Large columns in main room can impact visibility for event.
I was appalled by the service and the food at Oatlands House. The staff who were serving the food were very unaccommodating and somewhat rude to the customers. The food that was served was shocking, the chicken was tough, the steak was also tough and had muscular and nerve parts in it which made it very difficult to enjoy the meal. The olives were sour and bitter, and so was the coffee. I went to pick up some sugar in those little paper packets, and it was very hard, which did not allow me to pour it into my coffee.
I had dietary requirements, and not one of the staff members came up to me to assure that I could eat what was being served, this is the first time I have had an experience like this. The staff was informed of my dietary requirements, but took no interest in checking in with me.
I'am concerned that Oatlands House freezes their foods, and reuses stock that has already been out on the tables. Serving harden sugar packets is horrible, and just one of the signs that this whole business could be reusing multiple products.
I will not be returning to Oatlands House as the service, food and money is not worth the time. To anyone considering Oatlands House for parties, weddings, conferences etc, do not invest in it, the service you receive is poor. Oatlands has the name, but unfortunately not the quality.

Beautiful grounds. Quite a rustic feel with modern rooms. Nice atmosphere. Bit hidden which is good and bad. Watch your step though a few. Tripping hazards here and there.
I attended my Nieces wedding over the weekend of 13-14 August 2016. I have attended seven or eight family receptions here over the years. Service on this occassion was terrible couldn't get a beer all night
Went there for a friend's wedding. It's a small but intimate setting. Lots of greens. Very pretty. We had a three course meal followed by dessert. It's a very enjoyable experience.
Went to my cousins wedding at this venue great staff, great food, great venue.
Really enjoyed my time here. I hope to come back soon!

Attended a wedding, service was top-notch and classy/elegant. While waiting outside for the groom and bride to arrive and the guests to be seated; bites and lite horderves were served with drinks.
Hefty price but well above value for money.
We recently got married in January and had our reception at Oatlands house.
Georgina our event coordinator was amazing she went above and beyond to make our day run smoothly, the rest of the staff were nothing but amazing on the day all our guests said the food was amazing and the waiters were very accommodating all night.
The venue was beautifully set up and even Mr Filippo Navarra himself came to congratulate us on the night.

This is the first public review I have written. One worth writing for. Recently, I celebrated my wedding at the Oatlands House on the 2nd August 2020. A venue which I've been to many times and decided if I shall marry one day it would take place at the beautiful Oatlands. Well finally it happened. We had the pleasure of working with our event co-ordinator Korrine. With all the pressure due to covid, she showed us patience and understanding. Always attentive to my emails and requests. And I didn't always make it easy. Finally we got through it all and the day was beautiful. The food was amazing and extremely generous. I was even told by Korrine that one of my guests called the Oatlands with positive feedback on the food. My guests told me the service was also great. The room looked amazing. The venue surroundings are breathe taking. I love this place. And hope to share many more experiences here. Thank you to all the staff at the Oatlands. God bless :)
Had a great time here, attended a wedding reception but was a little disappointed in the decor. Upon arrival the place looked amazing, it was evening so all the mood lighting was on, violins apmplified through the exterior speakers (not actual quartet) but was let down on the interior. It seriously needs an upgrade and the cuisine could do with a revamp but overall it was ok. Shame it's almost in the middle of a golf course as would loved to have gone for a late night stroll. I would go back for sure but would host my own event there.
Very nice venue, quiet and enchanting gardens. Tables nicely set up, some minor details with table number holders (do not use plastic numbers, and base were rusted) some cutley not polished, and glasses. Our 3 course meal was average, meat was melt in your mouth tender. Pork belly was rolled and dry. Perhaps serve pork belly as steaks, looks much more presentable and retains moisture.service was excellent by our waiter Daniel, however they did not offer sugar on tables, had to ask. Sugar on tables is standard. Good too see a visit by the owner of the property

Had my wedding here a month ago.. Overall beautiful place however negatives were none of my guests with allergies were given a allergy card as I was advised there would be.. Food was getting sent back all the time for the allergy sufferers.. Kids meals were 70 bux a head which was discussing really.. Customer service prior to reception was poor and I was constantly emailing or calling to see if they would answer my queries... Bridal suite on the day was extremely dirty. Furniture had stains windows were all dusty and mirror was dirty... Table for the ceremony was not put in the place I asked so guests did it prior to me walking down the isle.. My cake topper was lost and no one returned our calls telling us where it was. Everything we wanted extra had a fee included even if I was bringing my own things everything had a price on top of it.got told the car park directly in front of my ceremony would be closed off and was not. Other than that food was actually really good quality and venue is really pretty.
Had our wedding reception at Oatlands. The staff on the night were fantastic and nothing ever seemed too much trouble for them. We were extremely pleased with the service we received. Food was delicious. Georgina our wedding coordinator was so lovely to work with and was very helpful throughout the planning stages.
Quite a nice venue with parking spots available. Came here twice for a wedding function. Both are pleasant and the food are good. Easily catering up to 30 tables.

It is a well-known wedding venue in Sydney. It has an open green golf course landscape and classic and elegant indoor scenes. At the same time, there are many restaurants with different atmospheres to choose from. The photos taken will be full of romantic and elegant atmosphere.
This is a wonderful place suitable for your formal events or family gatherings.

Was here for a wedding reception. Food was quite delicious but the service was appalling. The tables were set up such that every time food or drinks was served, the waitstaff would ask me to move. Furthermore, we had to ask 4 different wait staffs before we got some orange juice and ice.
This is a function venue and service is a critical part of the package. Urgent improvement in the service is needed.

Our wedding was done brilliantly by the team at Oatlands House. We had both the ceremony and reception at the venue and both were very well put together and were wonderful on the day. A very professional and well managed operation so everything works perfectly on the day. Highly recommended for any wedding or function.

Rooms can be small and cramped. A lot of cutlery and glassware has been worn/chipped and shouldn't be used no more to meet the high expectations of a Narvara Venue.

I had my wedding at Oatlands House in April and I couldn't of been more impressed of the service and professionalism the staff showed.
Bhupesh was our coordinator who is the best and honestly did not skip a beat. He was a huge part of the day running so smoothly.

We are only in the planning stages of our wedding, but we have to say that we are absolutely blown away by Jen's patience, understanding, maturity and professionalism while helping us organise our wedding reception! We have changed dates, rooms, number of guests and even our menu! She even helped to cater to our budget to ensure we would be able to handle all extras and inclusions, what an amazing experience! We are so happy that we made the choice to work with Jen at Oatlands House!

Michael and I would like to thank you and the great team at Oatlands house for the outstanding efforts on our wedding day last Sunday 6.3.16. We can not express our appreciation enough. From the moment we stepped out of the car we were catered to, to no end. From Luana who attended to our needs in the heat of the sun while being photographed, to the MC Kimon who was entertainingly organised and Adam the DJ who got the people dancing to his tunes. Everyone from management and co-ordinator of the day (im sorry i had forgotten their names) whom gave their warm greetings to our guests. The food was also incredible! Many guests we're impressed. So pls send our many thanks to the chef and caterers.

The venue was beautiful and we received great service from Bhupesh and his team. They were really accommodating, they respected our requests and made everything easier for us. The venue itself is beautiful, the Deck Room was prepared and decorated just as we expected.

Our son married his beautiful wife at Oatlands House last week. It poured with rain, just before the wedding. No problem, we were moved inside with good grace, efficiency and courtesy. I will never forget the look on my son s face as his bride walked down the aisle to him. I know that he felt free to enjoy the ceremony because the Oatlands staff had taken such exceptional care of the organisational details.
Then the evening and the meals were so very far beyond my expectations. My husband has coeliac disease and I am a gluten intolerant vegetarian so we are used to not being able to participate in the feasting. However, the young man who was in charge took such exceptionally good care of us, and kept bringing, not just acceptable food, but truly delicious food! Both my husband and I felt no qualms about eating, and really relished the meal. In fact, all of the staff behaved, not just with professionalism, but with genuine warmth and thoughtfulness.
It is a beautiful setting, of course, but it is the people who make difference, and in the highly-charged atmosphere of a wedding (even one we ve all been looking forward to for some time!) the staff were faultlessly welcoming and thoughtful.
It made a wonderful wedding even better.
I'm a wedding videographer and I shoot here many times. Such an amazing place to be with the magnificent location. I always end up with great videos here.
