Amazing customer service from start to finish! Not sure about some of the negative experience, just sharing my experience which was great. LG had initally sent my phone to other service centre. After getting the run around for 4 weeks with LG and other service centre, I asked for the phone back and took it to futuretel. They were informed with my case and kept me up to speed and got the phone back to me fast! What makes it amazing is you can speak to people that actually care and are able to keep you informed. Highly recommend futuretel, LG uses 2 service centre, ask them to send it here by name, this is from personal experience!

Sent my Nexus 6P in for repairs. Phone arrived at their place on August 13. As of this review, I still have not received my phone back. It has been 40+ days since sending my phone in for repair.

Unbelievable.

Update 2018/09/26:
Dear Nexus 6P, it has been 44 days since I sent you in for a manufacturer defect repair that I have to pay for out of my own pockets. See you soon... hopefully.

They are nightmare to deal with, "They will never pick up your phone" regardless how many times you leave voice message.

Samsung advised me to send my S7 to them, it's been over 10 business days, this service center really put Samsung into a "shame".

Probably this is my last Samsung device to own, even i hate iPhone OS system but their service is at best.

Try your best to stay away from this repair center

Sent my nexus 6p in for a warranty repair and got it within two weeks. Decent time but the only concern is the communication with customer service via email is slow, otherwise I'm satisfied.

I was scared to say the least after reading some of these reviews. My experience however was stellar. I sent the phone in on Monday for repair and had it back Wednesday before noon. The phone was fixed for free off warranty (1 month expired warranty). The issue was a defective charging port. Communication was good and service was way faster than promised. Seems they have corrected the issues from previous reviewers at least in my case.

Horrible Horrible service.

Horrible Horrible service.

They broke my phone and blamed me on it.

They took a full week just to tell me what's wrong with it and another week to "fix" it. Well, it was in a better condition prior to sending it to them. Please do yourself a favour and find a better place to fix your phone.

I sent it my phone last week, and just like I was quoted from one plus the price was the same. I contacted futuretel and they provided me with all the information and updates needed to proceed and it was a pretty smooth experience. I'm a little confused as to why some people are leaving bad reviews but I had a positive experience. My repair looks great thus far, and I would like to say thank you to futuretel.

Excellent service provided on my OnePlus 5. I've got the broken screen and fingerprint button fixed on the same day I've made a payment and received the phone the next day. All service including sending to service center and receiving back was included in the price.

Like many was wary of the poor reviews here but was completely blown away by the service once I sent my phone in. Nexus 5x bootlooping took four days to be sent in, fixed completely, and returned to me. Thank you so much Futuretel! Extremely satisfied customer, would recommend their service to anyone without hesitation.

I sent in my Nexus 5x for the infamous BootLoop problem, after paying $150+tax to LG. I got really worried about all of the horror stories on here, but my case worked out fine. Fortunately, the phone was repaired extremely quickly, and I had it back in my hands 3 business days after it was shipped. The phone works fine, and FutureTel did not complain about the fact I had previously replaced the battery myself.

UPDATE: After a couple of weeks and many phone calls, LG CSR Lois Kasweka finally transfered me to a supervisor whom claimed that I would have to go after the shipper or Futuretel. Oh well, sometimes you get the short end. I suggest you people stay away from LG.

My LG G4 suffered from the bootloop issue. LG said it was under warrenty, so I sent my phone in for repairs. I packaged the device in a small box with an inch and a half thick firm foam. They replaced the motherboard and returned my phone, like other people on here have claimed, in a budget bubble wrap bag. There was no protection for the phone. The report they had included in the bag claimed that my phone had "MINOR SCRATCHES".... however, the rim of the phone was broken and the screen protector was also cracked. I called and they lied about the phone having these issues on their report (they probably just added it). They are not an honest company,. Not sure how they get LG's work.

I sent the Futuretel slip to LG, CSR is asking manager what to do next. If LG takes care of this I will stick with them.

Replaced the screen and back cover on my OnePlus 3...

Replaced the screen and back cover on my OnePlus 3 by issuing a RMA directly through OnePlus. FutureTel is their partner service provider so it was my only option if I wanted to get the repair done through OnePlus. I was extremely skeptical of getting the phone back in the condition I was expecting due to all the negative reviews. I did a live chat with a OnePlus customer service rep and they assured me that I would receive the phone in the expected condition with no additional damage.

I started the RMA process with OnePlus on Dec 25, 2016 and on the same day I received the shipping label from FutureTel that I needed to print and attach to the shipment package.

On Dec 29, 2016 I shipped out the phone.

Jan 4, 2017: I got quoted $167.24 for replacing both the back cover and the entire display - which I thought was extremely generous. The quote asked me to call in and confirm and to pay the quoted price so that the repair can take place.

Jan 6, 2017: The phone arrived in the mail.

I may be one of the lucky ones but the process took no more than 12 days in total. Really pleased with the service from FutureTel and likely would be going back to them based solely on my own experience. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt guys!

I am now sending my phone back to them for the FOURTH time in a row.

My LG G3 gets 0 - 1 bars (FIDO) throughout all of Toronto, Kitchener and Waterloo where my cell coverage should be 4 - 5 bars....

- The first 2 times I sent it in they just factory reset the phone despite the fact that I had provided them with evidence of a HARDWARE issue and FIDO told them it was a hardware issue.

- The third time they replaced the motherboard with a defective motherboard and didn't bother to test it so now my phone is non-functional. They also forwarded insulting comments to me stating that I am somehow trying to scam them?! I have a defective phone, fix it. Not a hard concept.

I would say that Futuretel is indeed a scam.

I contacted LG and they agreed that Futuretel had messed up the repair badly and are sending me to a different repair service for repair #4.

Would give 0 stars if it would let me. Major ripp off joint. Quote of $240 for repairs. Found an honest place less than $90. Shop around dont get ripped off. This was supposed to be warranty work through LG, phones an LG5. Would not honor the warranty because they claimed the phone was damaged, phone was brand new, Before they would send my phone back without repairing it I needed to pay a $35 fee. The girl on the phone was not very friendly, more of a to bad attitude. tried to contact LG to complain no luck there.
Protect yourself, do not deal with this company.

Sent a warranty claim for my Moto G3 through Wind because of a non-functioning headphone jack. Did not honour the warranty due to mainboard corrosion and quote back with an outrageous price that is over half of the price of the phone to repair it. Did they miss the fact that this is a water-resistant phone, and the 3-week old like-new phone still turns on and is perfectly fine minus the headphone jack? Don t fall for their warranty scam, I can t believe Wind and Motorola trusts these scums.

My LG G4 had the bootloop problem - was directed by LG to send phone to FutureTel - sent on a Wednesday - received by FutureTel the following day - Purolator delivered phone back to me the next Monday morning - Fix time was excellent, packaging was excellent and phone working perfectly.
E-mailed a question to FutureTel late one night and got answer next morning, so good response time with customer service.

I was recommended to go to this store by Samsung support for warranty work on my Galaxy s8+ and did not have a good experience here.

The first red flag was being unable to get anyone on the phone after calling twice during business hours. I wanted to get an ETA on how long the work would take. It was just a screen replacement so if they had the parts it shouldn't be too long.

I ended up going to the store anyways and was told this is a drop off location only and it would take one week to fix. This was all told to me by the receptionist as they have a policy where technicians are not allowed to talk to customers. I could literally see the technicians walking around behind the window but could not speak to them and needed the receptionist to run back and forth to answer my questions.

In addition to the excessively long turnaround time for a simple job they do not offer loaner phones (this was promised by the samsung rep i spoke to on the phone) which just makes things more inconvenient.

In the end I did not get my phone serviced here and went to another authorized Samsung store called Mobile Klink in Vaughn Mills mall. There I was able to speak to an actual technician and the work was done professionally in under 2 hours.

Overall waste of time and poor service by both samsung and Futuretel/Mobile MD or whatever their business name is now.

I have an LG G4 that bootlooped so I sent it to Futuretel. I'm not going to put them down when it comes to the speed of their service since my phone was sent back to me that week but due to the shipping company being lazy I didn't get it back until about three weeks.
The real issue is that after I got it back I noticed that my phone was being weird. Every day it just got worse. I have been using it normally, the way I would use it before it bootlooped. Lately it's been dying in just an hour, two if I'm lucky. On top of that It overheats like crazy. I don't mean warm, I mean literally so hot that it's uncomfortable to hold. Now I'm constantly paranoid that it's gonna bootloop again.

Overall I'm really angry about this. Now I have to get a new phone because I can't even stand this phone anymore. Yeah, be careful everyone.

Having read all of the negative reviews I was terrified of what would happen e.g. having to pay money that I didn't need to etc. My experience has been different. Sorry, this is going be long:
Having just moved to Toronto I purchased my LG G6 in January. I treated it well and I had no scratches or anything on it whatsoever. Around 5 days ago a message appeared on my phone saying "water in the usb port. Do not charge". I thought this was strange because I didn't bring it into contact with moisture at all. I contacted LG and they said as my phone was under warranty and given the condition of the problem they would be able to fix it for free by ship it through puralator. I lived close by so I thought I would drop it in personally. The receptionist (a young woman around my age) was lovely and welcoming. She explained everything to me and said if there was any damage to the internal circuit then I would have to pay. So I left the phone with them and tracked it online. The next day it was fixed and so I went to collect it. A one day turnaround is crazy. The guy I spoke to this time said that there was a problem with the charging port and no water damage. They didn't try and "rip me off". He was also very helpful and the technicians also improved the speed and setup of my phone for free. I left feeling happy. I understand people have had a different experience in the past but it's possible Futuretel have changed their tone or come under new management. This is just my experience.

Had a laptop screen fixed. Apparently when they ask you to initial the work order and they fail to tell you they will be wiping all your drives. Not even one star! They sent my phone back unrepaired to my service provider. Then Future tel after having my phone, work order number and my CREDIT CARD NUMBER wanted a new work order number. She said for the second repair! This is still the first repair request. They knew this would generate an empty box going to their centre. Which can only mean they lost my phone or are going to double bill for one repair. They've had my new phone for 2 months and it's still not repaired! 26 days of phone calls just in one month alone! Buyers beware!

I received my Samsung phone today after it was repaired under warranty by Futuretel. The first thing I noticed is the original receipt I enclosed with the phone was missing. Secondly, my screen protector was missing. Thirdly, There is visible damage on the casing of the phone where I thought they pried it open (I have always had my phone in a protective case, it had no marks on it). I removed the back cover and battery and there is no MEID number or any information and the phone reeks of someones bad cologne...its not the phone I sent to them, but the report they sent to me says they repaired and returned it. I want a refund on what I paid for the phone I sent them plus the unlock fee and screen protector. If the company refuses I will be filling a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Samsung.

I paid 500$ for a broken screen hinge on my huawei laptop and the repair lasted less than 2 months before it broke again. Not only was the repair poorly done, but the shop also sent back my computer with missing screws. Huawei has been unhelpful with this issue and fails to follow-up with their customers.

Highly recommend avoiding this business. LG paid for us to send my wife's phone to Futuretel. 3 weeks later she receives an email saying that they will not repair it unless we either pay them $452 (the phone is now worth as low as $200 new) or a $35 analysis fee (which was never declared prior to sending). As the device was only suffering from the notorious LG boot loop issue (the same one that currently has led to a class action lawsuit against LG in California) and can be corrected with a re-soldering of pieces back to the mainboard, it should not cost double the price of the phone to correct. I would not be surprised if this is a scam to get people to relinquish their phones free of charge so that they can quickly repair them and resell them.

I have attached both my Facebook post to LG which has yet to be answered and the invoice sent to my wife by Futuretel - that you can see I am not just making this up.

These guys are Hauwei service center , they did not fix my Hauwei watch GT although it is still under warranty because I bought the watch outside Canada. Hauwei Canada say they can not fix and they will not replace it because it bought out side Canada even they confirm that the dealer is Hauwei dealer . Will we are used to Apple and Samsung international warranty which mean their products can be fixed or repaired anywhere . But Hauwei refuse to deliver international warranty even though in their warranty document they do not mention that they don't support international warranty.

Sent in my Nexus 6 for repairs last week because it suddenly stopped turning on and the back cover was peeling off. A full 7 days later they shipped it back and on the completion report, it claimed that they couldn't repair because they were not authorized to do repairs for google play units.

Why would you accept my Motorola phone if you were not authorized to repair it? Sounds like complete bullshit. Wasted $20 to ship it out and even more money getting another phone because I couldn't get a replacement.

Worst company ever. They should not be a Samsung authorized dealer. They rob people. They are making money by saying that the phone is physically damaged and water damaged. I sent in my new Samsung S7 phone only 2 months old. Phone never dropped or water damage. Phone had network issue that it drops calls more often. Futuretel said that the "CUSTOMER TAMPERED THE MAIN BOARD" Absolutely stunt by their comment. I don't even know how to open this phone or to do any repair. They sent an estimate of $700 to fix. This is how they make money. This company is big scam. Totally disappointed with Samsung & Futuretel. I am taking this matter further. I have contacted
CBC Market Place" I will make sure that these guys are taken care of what they are doing.

If you have an LG product for repair, whatever you do, DO NOT send your phone here. I spoke with a lady named "Terry", and inquired as to what steps they take in the case of the customer advising that the phone had been returned with more scratches or damage from when they sent it in.
I told her there had been reviews about such damage. She advised that it is impossible such would happen and that either way, they won't take any responsibility for it. I advised that everyone makes mistakes, it is very possible for a technician to make an error. She advised that her technicians don't make mistakes and they will accept 0 responsibility for any scratches or damage even if the customer took detailed photos of the phone before sending it in. She then proceeded called me a skeptic. I then asked if she calls all customers with questions a "skeptic". She advised that I was being one. I asked to speak to her manager. She said her manager doesn't speak to the general public. She said she had no supervisor either.

Be warned. Do not send your phone here. You are guaranteed the worst customer service.

Their customer service is very difficult to work with.
My LG phone was sent to them for repairs due to a booting issue. However since the screen had a crack on it, they stated that my device was out of warranty and refused to repair it. I contacted LG about this, and they said that they would cover the cost for the repair of my issue but not the cracked screen. After getting in contact with this company again, they refused to fix my on the basis of that they "do not perform partial repairs".
Overall their customer service is quite difficult to deal with and this has not been a pleasant experience by any means.

They told me they'd email me when my phone arrived and when it had left. They did neither, I had to call them. Also, they sent me back a phone that can barely hold a charge, is hot to the touch and takes forever to charge. It was a Huawei nexus 6p, by the way.

I can't say I like them..They have high prices and weird open hours. I was forced to use them.

Overall, they got my stuff back to me within 7 days including weekend. Ignoring the horribly price ratio to fix small problems... I got my Nexus 6 back in like new order and shows no sign that It was annihilated. So, Do I want to give it 4? No... Do they deserve 4 stars on my only interaction with them... I guess so...

Just keeping it unbiased. Maybe If I am lucky I will get unlucky like everyone else next time.

Took my phone in for a cracked screen on my Oneplus 5. While it was under the one year warr. It was not covered due to it 'user damage'. Understandable, I accepted the charges. I didn't want to take it to a non-authorized dealer to get it fixed - you never know what will happen during the colder months when the screen is exposed to the colder weather.

They took it in, I got an email response within the day, I paid the charges by calling into oneplus. I picked up the phone within 80 hours, and it worked just like the first day I purchased it. Can't thank Futuretel enough for the fast turnaround; I'm in sales and my phone is paramount!

I did business with this company because it is the repairer designated by LG.
Very bad experience with Futuretel. The customer service is terrible and of rare bad faith. Worse, the replaced part on my phone turned out to be defective after not even three months, and the company refused to honor its warranty.
Tip: Never accept the price of Futuretel without calling LG to complain and get a better offer.

It's been about two months since my LG G4 has been taken in for a bootloop service, and although LG sent a confirmation email to Futuretel, to verify that LG would cover the cost to fix my phone, Futuretel claims that they haven't received any confirmation e-mail with an approval number. Still haven't gotten my phone fixed. Needless to say, I'm NOT happy or satisfied with this so-called "service" -100 stars for this company.

My experience was 180 from those posted. I cracked my Nexus 6 screen and Motorola directed me to Futuretel to which they prepaid the freight. A week later I called Futuretel, was given a price to repair by a very courteous and knowledgeable staff member and three business days later it arrived ready to use. The price was very reasonable according to my techie friends given the complexity of removing the shattered screen without damaging the unit.

Very poor customer service. Gave in my phone for a repair as directed by LG G4 customer service for a boot loop problem. Waited for almost 2 weeks before I called the company only to find out they have not been working on my phone because they did not have an authorized IMEI number from LG. Rather than calling me to let me know this , so I can resolve the issue by contacting LG, they simply did not fix my phone for the past two weeks. When I called in to inquire of the phone status, the customer care rep tells me to contact LG to confirm payment as they have not been working on my phone. Extremely disappointed
in this company .

I sent my phone in to have the bluetooth repaired (range went from 100ft to 5ft) They sent it back after 26 days stating "No Trouble found." with some nonsense about re-calibrating the battery.

Completely unacceptable; I would give them 0 stars if I could!

Seems like everyone uses Futuretel for Cell Phone repairs and replacements. Yet, Futuretel doesn't provide the companies with basic information like tracking numbers. They are slow. They damage devices they determine to be functioning within normal parameters. They consider devices to be functioning within normal parameters when they don't receive signal. It takes over a week for them to send out a device to someone living in the same city. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. For my next phone (which will be soon, given the fact that they've replaced my device with duds twice now) I will go with any manufacturer not using Futuretel for repairs. Any manufacturer.

(EDIT: To be more accurate, it has been a week since stating they would send out a replacement. Whether or not they actually sent the replacement is still unknown, as they refuse to provide a tracking number.)

Had a great experience with Futuretel. I contacted LG, followed their directions, sent my phone away and within a week had a fixed phone in my hands. I didn't like that there was no customer contact but I guess that was a good thing in my case because it was all covered under warranty.

I'd give 0 star if I had the option too, I called their customer service to get a more detailed explanation. However, I've experienced such bad customer service from the lady, she was very rude, very unhelpful, it was clear that she doesn't feel like working. I wanted to do some changes on the phone since in the email it said I have the option to do so. But this lady did everything on her part not to do it THROUGH HER. SHE IS ONE LAZY STAFF PROBABLY JUST COUNTING HER HAIR WHILE AT WORK.

The Montreal service center took one look at my phone and stated that they see that damage all the time and that the pink line down the screen was a known defect in Samsung S 6 Egde screen's. Told me to come back in 2 hrs and all would be repaired. I came back and then they told me nothing was covered as the phone was tampered with, they couldn't explain how or why and when I asked for it on writing the girl started to laugh at me and then presented me with a bill for $950 dollars raising her voice humiliating me in front of the store. What kind of customer service is this? Why don't they just train their employees so they actually know what they are talking about instead of childishly threatening large bills and laughing at you.
I spoke to Samsung Executive relations and they stated I could send my phone in. Now it's at Futuretel ON, and they won't fix it either but now they stated it's $650 to fix or $30 to send back. If I don't claim it in 30 days then they use it for spare parts. They only called me after keeping phone for 4 weeks! I've been desperately calling them over and over non stop and no one has answered or called me back. I've emailed them and nothing! Please, I spent $1000 on my Samsung S6 edge, just give me my phone back! This is a nightmare

Reading these reviews, I was very scared to send my phone in to these guys. Sent my OnePlus 3 in to repair a dusty rear camera (internally) on Monday, received it Thursday morning without questions.

Poor communication though. I didn't even know it arrived at home. Lady on the phone was eager to get me off the line too. Not impressed with that.

Terrible experience with this company. First off they didn't fix the phone, then when I had to talk to a tech about it, he argued with me about the fee to send it back. AND they sent it back with no battery. Brutal company.

Also sent in my HTC One through my carrier due to a camera issue a few months ago.

Not only did they not fix the problem, the phone came back with a bunch of scratches and it looked like it was re-assembled by a blind technician.

After fighting with my carrier for a few days, they finally replaced my phone with a new one.

I don't understand why some phone manufacturers and certain carriers insist on using this company as their service centre.

I don't like Apple phones but I gotta say when it comes to repair and customer service, Apple is leaps and bounds above everyone else. I brought my wife's iPad for service at an Apple store and they replaced it right on the spot, no questions asked.

With Futuretel, it took about 10 days to get the phone back and in worse shape than when it was sent.

Huawei has a contract with this company where all their repairs in Canada get sent here. Huawei stated that it would take 5-10 business days (2 weeks) for my phone to arrive back. 2 and a half weeks passed and my phone didn't arrive, I called Huawei and was told that they were not responsible, contact the business repairing my phone. I called and was told I need to pay $360 to fix the phone, which I paid on credit card over the phone. I was told my phone would arrive in a week. A week passed and still no phone, when I called to inquire they stated they had no date on when the phone would be fixed, just wait another week and call. My phone has now been here for near a month, so I've had to pay a $120 phone bill on a phone I can't even use because on these shoddy business practices. Been contacting Huawei for support with this company and they've been no help. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if this business was a scam, and if I never see my phone again.

How is this place still in business?? They are great at quoting huge amounts, yet too incompetent to actually fix anything for these huge amounts. One star rating minimum? I'd give them - 20 if I could.
Stay away from this place!

Sent 2 phones in for repair. Both were dead. One had a cracked screen. Get an estimate back saying 577$ to repair the phones. No problem. They send me another invoice saying if I don't want the phones repaired 35 dollars for an inspection. I send in 577$ and then its magically 577 for each phone. I ask them how it can be the same amount, as one has a cracked screen. I ask for a refund. 2 days later they say they are going to refund 500 by cheque, as I have to pay a 35 dollar inspection fee per phone. Now It's been almost 2 weeks and I still don't have a phone. If you don't have a valid warranty avoid these guys like the plague. They're shady and will play games with you, as you can see in many other reviews of this nature.
