Enjoyable stay in quiet room with a bath. Not very well organised. 2 faulty kettles, jammed window, key failed late at night, carpet in corridor rumpled, lift out of order, afternoon tea not available, breakfast sign says use other entrance but doesn't have an arrow for direction, windows needed cleaning, porridge so liquid as to be hard to drink.
On the other hand the staff were so nice and helpful especially Pat at breakfast who offered to go out and buy soya milk as they had run out. Relaxed comfy bar. Comfortable bar good sized bath. One suggestion is that they should publicise the fact that they do vegan/vegetarian options for breakfast. Nice to have a serve yourself hot drinks machine which means you can instantly have a latte, then a moka then a tea.

We stayed in the apartments for a weekend, thoroughly enjoyable stay. Rooms were spacious fitting 12 of our party comfortably during one evening. The location was fantastic. Easy to get to all the major sights within 20 minutes walk.

Excellent from start to finish! Fabulous, spacious modern room at front of hotel looking out onto street. Gorgeous breakfast plenty to eat and good quality. Valet parking is great and very convenient as nearest car park is 2 miles away. Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here for 3 nights in July. We stayed in room 283 and it was far too warm. There was a freestanding air conditioner. The built in air conditioner in room not working. Tv was in a strange place too. My biggest problem was with the breakfast. I emailed 4 days before arrival asking if they could accommodate me with regard to my dairy allergies and meat. . I was sent a reply that it would be no problem and the restaurant would be informed. When I checked in the receptionist said to me that my special diet had been noted and passed on. Went down for breakfast on first day and the waitress had no idea what I was talking about. There was nothing put in place. Couldn t have bread as milk in it. Couldn t have even mushrooms or tomatoes as I was told they were cooked in butter. They did have soya milk so could have a cup of tea. Waitress ran down to Tesco to buy loaf of bread with no dairy in it. I was told the next morning they would have veggie sausages available for me. Went the next morning for breakfast and new staff were unaware once again. No veggie sausages. Did get a bit of toast though. Didn t bother with breakfast on 3rd morning as I couldn t be bothered explaining everything again. So basically if u have any food allergies give this hotel a miss, as they have no clue !
I loved Liverpool and the people where lovely and friendly , so I will be back , but sadly not to this hotel.

It was the worst experience in hotel we had in life. We woke around 2 in the morning with the biggest party in the next room. We connected tireless to reception and no response, after 20 minutes unanswered from the reception with our tireless connections. We descended the reception and unbelievable that the receptionist was at the hotel door with some people listening to music. We asked him to be on the fourth side of ours. Because I could not sleep with such noises, loud talk and music this was already 3 in the morning. The front desk only climbed to the room next door when we threatened to call the police. We traveled around the world, we live in hotel because of our profession. We are a plane pilot.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Large bedroom and bathroom. The shower drainage needs attention has it nearly overflows. Fridge in room with water and milk. The only minus was the room temperature control. Adjusting the temp had little effect, the room was too hot

Hotel is in a perfect location staff are very nice & friendly could do with better air con.we did find the restaurant for breakfast did not have any sanitizers before you entered also when replenishing the food it was brought up from the kitchen uncovered also food was not hot although there was plenty of choice I think the management should bring these comments on board because this is not very hygienic also tongs were not always available when getting bread people were using there hands again not hygienic.

Where all my baggage was stolen and reserved by my host. Luxurious and clean facilities. There is a washing machine in the room. The front desk person was nice and very much appreciated. But it looks like Keba Keane.

Food diabolical, flys in room (could be the weather), waiting time for food (waited 2 hrs before food arrived, had to wait for everyone to finish starters before main meal served) door lock stopped working the had to "reinstall"
Lock details and issue a new card so we could get in to room, no entertainment, lounge " chillout" room. will not be going there again

Centrally located wth both rooms and apartments. The exterior is imposing and the hotel appears to have had a recent make-over. The staff are extremely helpful in both the reception area and the restaurant/bar.
There is no onsite parking, but I was given a generous discount by the hotel at a Q-Park near by. The room we had was more like a small flat and was very clean. We had a small kitchenette and a large TV in the lounge and another in the bedroom.
We ate in the restaurant/bar and enjoyed our meal, though we only had a light-bite . The breakfast was buffet style and had all you needed for a Full English. If I were sightseeing in Liverpool I would certainly stay there again.

Clean and 'fresh' feel hotel, with black and white as the main interior colours for their communal area (entrance, reception & bar - dining rooms). The bedroom is more simple design & beautiful bathroom. Very good location, a 5 minutes walk to shopping areas & restaurants. Staff are friendly & professional.

On arrival at this hotel we had to wait a while for a receptionist to check us in as no one was on the desk. The room we was in was dark and gloomy and we had to switch off the heating as it was making too much noise.Breakfast was a joke no clean tables no cups or cutlery we had to keep asking all the time,we had to wait for breakfast food to keep being brought out as no eggs or mushrooms ect buy the time we got out breakfast it was cold.

Staff very helpful and friendly no question about that and the building is located nearby shopping areas and places of interest a short walk away. What let's the hotel down is the interior. The owners need to spend a bit to compare it to similar better hotels. A little dated now and our suite that we booked for 1 night was tired and curtains falling down even when we had just got into the room. Very noisy neighbours as the walls are paper thin and loud music til the early hours! Not what I expected at 233 sterling a night. Breakfast reasonable

Good place, the lobby is very fancy. We stayed in the balcony room, the room is very nice size, only slight criticism is there are some marks on the walls etc, nothing unclean just makes it feel slightly worn. Great staff and very helpful

Dirty and out dated rooms. Suites are more like budget bedsits. King size beds are just two singles pushed together. Rooms smell of dirty water. Our room had the waste pipe for the room above running down the wall big grey plastic pipe we got to listen to. Hotel is situated up a dirty street on the wrong side of the city. Liverpool has some lovely hotels, this isn't one of them,

Room service was terrible , took 2 and a half hours to come and when we phoned they had said it was on its way it was not. The cleaner did not clean the room but roughly made the beds, I would not recommend this hotel

It is not too bad... Nice staff but the rooms needs to be looked after. A lot of condensation on the windows and dampness in the air. We were moved twice dropping a floor each time and end up in the basement. No joke! Later at the bar there was a nice gesture offered from staff, which improved our experience

Hotel is dated, needs to be updated. Requires a refurbishment. Outside requires attention to look appealing to its guests. Breakfast requires attention, not enough choices. Car parking should be free.

Lazy job in cleaning and the staff are not trained well. The only person at the front desk who does a decent job is Beth. Even the managers are not trained well in customer service at all in welcoming and giving a basic introduction to new comers. The rooms are dirty and lower than a standard quality. There is not much diversity in this place.

Had a great stay here for my birthday celebrations. The health and safety team ( balcony sweepers!) were particularly helpful. Lovely touch to bring me up a bottle of fizz and a birthday card. Thank you guys, we had a ball in your fan city.

Bar area was the breakfast diner, not at all like being in a bar. There was no tongs for the guests to 'grope' the bread, croissants.. And the bath was very deep, so for me to step out was difficult as I have arthritis.. A hand rail to hold on to woyl be ideal. Other than that, good location, nice staff, comfortable bed!
