At the beginning of all the Corona Craziness we responded to an advert that they had sanitising wipes and gel for sale still - so decided to order some for our business.
Had a bit of communication later from them to say that suprisingly there was a bit of a run on these products and delivery may be delayed but they would keep in touch - they did not.

WHat really gets on my nerves is that they are still advertising these products to me by email every single day - and they havetaken payment from us over a month ago now for these non existaent products.

I have ordered furniture from them in the past and the quality has been OK for the price hence 2 stars rather than the 1 star which they deserver for this scam!

I would give this company minus 5 stars if I could. Placed an order with them in March for delivery in April. It's now June and no ordered received. I emailed countless times with no response. Phoned them first time and they said they would chase it back and email me which never happened. Second phone call was on hold for 30 minutes and was told I would get a refund...that was a week ago. Tried to phone again today and it says calls have been blocked from my phone. Absolutely disgusting DO NOT USE

Ordered a chair a month ago for next day delivery. Told it would be a couple of days given current situation, fair enough. Chased after a few days to be told out of stock and would be delivered on 12th May. No delivery. Emailed, no response. No way to get through to a customer service rep as all lines busy and it cuts you off. Emailed again, no response. Very disappointed. If no response today I will cancel and go somewhere else.

I Bort 1 office chair. On tues night arrived fri 16th October 2020 morning. Before expected delivery.
My item arrived all complete and no damage.
I did find my confirmation email of purchase in spam box. And I didn't get a update email of delivery. Lucky!! I was home .
My parasol had dents on the box,(Packaging).
But thankfully goods was perfect.
I think it is true the manufacturer do try to put these large parts into the smallest box which the metal bits dent the packaging.
To the subject of damage good or missing part from some of these reviews, In part I can understand if people do end up losing parts. Probably is to the poor packaging from manufacturer. In delivery screws or wheel could slip though the damage packaging.
Anyway in my experience my item was fine.and had arrived quickly. Before expected delivery date.
I didn't have any contact with them over the phone as I had no need to.

Awful Company. I would have given 0 stars if I could. I ordered a desk and paid extra for delivery within 5 working days. I only recived the legs after a week of chasing I was told that the rest of the desk was out of stock. I cancelled the order and now the company refuse to process my refund until the legs have been collected. Guess what, I can't get them to collect the legs. After a further week of phone calls, still no response. Very pleasant when you get through (it takes at least 30 minutes to get connected to a representative) but not matter what they promise they don't follow this up with action. Awful Awful service, and as far as I can tell illegally keeping hold of my money as they broke their contract with me.

What a sham. I ordered a table, which was delivered within the agreed time. However, there was a part missing. There is no facility to email the company directly, which in itself is dubious, so you have to contact them via a form on their website. After two mail form submissions and ten days later, after no response I called their offices. After 15 minutes on hold and the music running out, I hung up and tried the sales number, with the same result. No response, no feedback, nothing.

I run a small, family business, employing almost 50 people, so I understand the issues that Covid19 has caused, but this is unnacceptable for any bbusiness, whether private or, as in this case, a public company.

They don't have a G+, Facebook or Instagram account, despite these all being displayed on Google and their ow website and there's no way to contact them via Pinterest. My final attempt via LikedIn was no better as, unless I'm in the network of the 2 employees listed on LinkedIn, I can't mail them that way.

So I have a desk that I can't use and no reply from this company. Avoid at all costs.

Ordered an office chair on 9th april on next day delivery as needed it urgently. I have still not received it. Have sent two emails and not received a response other than an auto email stating that they will respond. Not had response and it has been 10 days. Impossible to get through on phone...tried numerous times and been on hold twenty minutes each time. Not had any communication or tracking info. They took payment straight away. Other companies update you if delayed. Appalling service.

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing a desk from this company. This is truly worst customer service I have ever experienced. I bought a desk on 14 April, at the end of April I received an email saying it was out of stock, an alternative was offered, which I accepted, with no communication it arrived two weeks later in the wrong colour so I refused the delivery. Trying to get a refund was a disaster, the company don't respond to emails, you wait in excess of 30 minutes to get through to customer services only to be given poor excuses and hollow apologies. Fortunately I have received a refund now, 3 months after the original purchase so for those of you still waiting don't give up and raise a dispute with your card company and local trading standards service. The best advice is avoid this company and purchase from an alternative more reliable supplier.

No contact emails, no tracking number. The chair have a factory defect in the armrest but given the response time (the delivery was more than 2 weeks) I had to fix the armchair by my own. I couldn't recommend for an executive office or premium chairs.

The delivery driver walked through our house and said "is it ok if I don't wear a mask I need to take a photo of where you have put the boxes, I've come to the conclusion I'm going to catch it anyway" - referring to COVID ( my husband is high risk and the driver had left our house before it had sunk in what he'd said). On closer inspection the completely wrong item had been received. My husband emailed a complaint to be told they don't stock the size that we ordered and that we have received the correct item! WRONG, we did order a different sized item which is still showing on their website. After reading all the other awful reviews we have decided to list this desk on eBay - it's twice the size of the one we ordered do completely no use at all. Instead we have ordered one from Wayfair which will be delivered next week!!! You live and learn- stay safe

When they finally contacted me they informed me that the chair was not in stock and would only be available in a months time! Chased the item after that date and was told they would get back to me, when they didn't I called again and got an overly aggressive chap talking all over me and telling me they shouldn't have promised to do that and they couldn't tell me when I would get the desk. He then tried to argue the toss about the fact that his system said delivery was 17th Jun (also since passed!) and that I was being unreasonable to suggest that they could and should have told me this. Every time I have called to find out what is going on the call gets ignored and no one answers on option 2 of their number. I thought I would pretend to be a new customer and the call was answered and the same product I have order I was told was out of stock. When I told the operator that I have ordered it and it has not been received they put the phone down on me. I am going to a court to file a small claims first thing in the morning as they seem to be doing this to everyone.

27th March furniture was delivered and we'd paid for installation. They didn't install it. Over 10 weeks later, four phones call (half an hour on hold minimum each time), and each time they assure us that we'll have a refund of the installation within 4-5 working days. Nothing. Now we phone and there's just voicemail. We followed each phone call up with an email confirming what was agreed, all read receipted, and they delete them without reading. We don't believe they have ANY intention of refunding the installation fee.

Emailed after order was placed and paid for to say despite paying for next day it would take a week, despite me calling to check availability and delivery times whilst placing the order. Rude member of customer non-service team then insisted it was still a next day order and I had to pay for the pleasure of them delivery whenever they could be bothered.

One of the items is incorrect, despite discussing with sales person and have been unable to get them on the phone or by email for over a week, meanwhile the incorrect piece is blocking our hallway.

I have ordered furniture from this place a few times now. They have a good range and their prices are good. However I find the staff leave a lot to be desired. They don't listen to what is said to them and ask for information already given [sometimes more than once]. They also seem to have 'attitude'. When the wrong item was delivered I was asked if I had been there when it was delivered in a tone that implied I should have dealt with it at the time. I had not been there when it was delivered. However, what really, really gets me is the 0844 phone number - the customer has to pay higher than normal call charges to place an order, to discuss things, even to advise of an incorrect delivery. In my case I have had the wrong desk delivered twice now. Despite promising to let me know when delivery would be they turned up unannounced. Our staff had to come off lunch breaks [which could not be taken later] and move the old, heavy furniture out of the office. Our staff are all female. I had been going to arrange to have someone come in to take the old stuff away the day the new stuff was being delivered. So all in all the service is pretty poor.

As the owner of a marketing agency, I am offering my recommendation for using Furniture at Work based upon their resolution of my situation.

Disappointing that you cannot give less than one star. This company is the epitome of poor customer service. I received a table with no legs, after several emails and phone calls I got someone to send a set of legs out for next day delivery, unfortunately they were for a different range of desks. I've not had one phone call returned, they refuse to let me speak to a manager and I'm now waiting a week for a reply as to when I may get some legs for my desk.
No sign of a refund from another order, that's after 10 days.

Ordered a computer desk and drawer cabinet, was meant to be next day delivery but due to covid I gave it more time, several ignored emails and unanswered phone calls it arrived approx 3 weeks later after my last email I threatened to get my bank to get my money back, so thought finally get it put together only to find that the rear privacy panel did not fit the desk, it was too wide and all the fitting holes were in the wrong place. Ordered office furniture on April 30th and was fully aware that COVID crisis would mean delays. Was given delivery date of May 15th. Nothing happened. Called them and after 30 min wait was told it would be with me on Monday 18th. Again nothing and no explanation or communication. Have sent emails and been trying to call for 2 days but keep being told to call back. The emails get no response so don't waste your time using their Contact Us pages. No explanation, no customer service. I can only assume they don't care. Avoid

Ordered a Chair on the 12th May for Next Day delivery. I expected it to be 1-2 weeks due to the Covid19 Crisis. I was contacted by the company on 19th May to say there was a delay and the chair would now be with me on the ""22nd July"" I couldn't wait that long so I asked to cancel the order. They confirmed the order had been cancelled on the 27th May and to allow 10 working days for a refund. NO REFUND HAS ARRIVED. Small claims court now I think. It looks like they do this to a lot of people.

Ordered a chair online for next day delivery in April. Cancelled the order within 12 hours by phone before the order was dispatched. Was told refund would be 5-7 days.

Received email 3 days later to say delivery is delayed. Called up and order hadn't been cancelled, so cancelled order again and asked for email confirmation. Was told refund would be 5-7 days.

Been waiting over 40 days for the refund despite being repeatedly told it's been upgraded to urgent and I'll be refunded 'soon'.

I contacted my credit card company and they chased the payment. I've now had the refund from Furniture@Work and my credit card company have refunded the interest accrued :)

Never buy from this place. 2 months and haven't received order. No response on email; barely ever pick up the phone. Following up with Trading Standards and hope others do the same. I have no faith that my money or chair will ever get to me.

Desk arrived in agreed timescale but was damaged. Emailed customer services 30th April and now (25th August) have still not had a proper response despite regular chasing and attempts to contact.
I wouldn't recommend or use again, seems the company have just cashed in on the demand for working from home and not willing to actually follow up with good customer service (or any level of customer service), which seems short sighted as definitely wouldn't order from them for in the workplace and it seems by other reviews no one else would!

Ordered early October, delivery estimated for 29th Oct. Was emailed in good time to let me know there would be a delay, new estimate of 3rd November. Called on 2nd Nov when I'd heard nothing (20 mins to get through) and told I'd have an update in 48 hours. Called again on 5th as I'd not had an update (20 mins again but phone system gave me the option of a call back - decided to hold). Told they'd get back to me. Had a call late the same day to say the stock had come in and they put it on a next day delivery. Arrived fine on 6th, so only a week late.
Person I spoke to was polite and sorted it out in the end.
Bit better communication would be good but all fine else.

I placed an order for a chair on 7 May which stated that it was in stock and available for next day delivery (11 May due to the bank holiday weekend). Heard nothing on 11 May (not surprising, given the reviews) but then had an email on 12 May stating that the chair wasn't in stock and i could either have the same chair in another colour in 3-5 days or i could wait for the original chair to become available in 3 weeks. Given the reviews i decided i just wanted to be shot of the company so i replied and said i didn't want either, just a refund please, and I haven't heard anything since. I've chased up today but am not hopeful for any kind of response. How can they continue to take peoples money? I will be reporting to trading standards. Shameful

One of the most unprofessional & dishonest company to ever exist. Simply squanders your time and money. Misleading advertisements and false delivery dates is their usual practice. Never bothers to inform you the status of your shipment. Requires relentless attempts to get an opportunity to reach their customer care only to hear a new excuse. This company needs to be reported to the appropriate authorities for their awful business ethics.

The worst supplier experience you will ever have! Ordered a large amount of furniture of which only a few items were delivered only to be told after the remainder was out of stock. From that point this company ceased communication to the point we had to initiate a chargeback weeks later in order to get our money back for the items not delivered. After the chargeback was complete the company started sending us emails from their debt collection department claiming we owe them money for items already refunded and never received. Persistent bunch of scammers! Do not waste your time (and sanity) dealing with these cowboys!

Very similar story happens to many of customers and i am one of them.
Ordea a Desk to start my home office needed for June, When i placed order I did not see when delivery can be made so, I asked them to send me invoice. They call me the next day if i can pay by bank transfer. They also said the desk will arrive in July. So I said ok I will wait and transfer money to them by bank transfer as they told me to do this way.
After a few days of payment sent they sent me an email and told me that the desk won't arrive until August. I said I can not wait that long please cancel my order.
After 5 days they replied (remember they call me the next day when they want my money) said will refund within 10 working days. I am not sure why took so long anyway. I waited and waited and no refund after 3 weeks. I sent another email and ask about the refund and i still got no reply.
This is a scam and this company will not be good to for you buy from please do not buy from them.

The customer service is ridiculously poor. Furniture@work promises communication with us on several occasion but we do not receive any calls or emails as promised. We have been chasing our order of 02/06/2020 until now 10/09/2020! During this period we have requested a refund twice, 21/08/2020 and 10/09/2020. F@W will take payment immediately but you can be waiting for delivery for weeks and they do not advise items being out of stock or made to order hence no delivery dates.
I must emphasis I DO NOT recommend this company. One star is being generous!

Like many of the other reviews I wouldn't even give this company 1 star. Ordered a desk in March to be told it wouldn't arrive until June. I cancelled the order immediately but the payment was still taken and a desk arrived in August. I have rang and emailed several times and was told they were looking into it and that the desk would be collected shortly. I am still waiting for the matter to be resolved now. Absolutely dreadful company. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I ordered a desk to be delivered 'next day'. I called the following morning to check the status of my order. I was advised it had not been shipped, and that it would now be delivered the following day. So much for the next day delivery.

I then received an email the following day (the supposed day of delivery) advising that the desk was not actually in stock, and it would be a further week before they could fulfill my order. They surely knew this when I called and spoke to them the previous day.

I then called and cancelled the order and requested a full refund.

I would urge anyone to read the online reviews before considering placing an order. I certainly wish I had.

I have now wasted 2 days waiting for the desk, and have now placed an order with Hudsons Office furniture Ltd who have already confirmed the item is in stock and I can track the progress of my order via their website.

We ordered chairs and screens from Furniture at Work both listed as Orange. We happily received the chairs (which were orange), but the screens delivered were RED.

Furniture at Work will not take any responsibility for the blunder. It was made to order and Digital swatches and fabrics can differ slightly was their only offering.

They have point blank refused to offer any kind of resolution, merely it s what you ordered, like it or lump it .

We have not demanded anything other than the correct colour screens. We have made suggestions for the screens to be returned and the red fabric removed and replaced with orange fabric. Or to send us red mesh covers so our chairs could match the screens. We have not made any unreasonable requests, all of which have been totally rejected.

The whole point of purchasing everything from one place was to have matching furniture. When ordering two items listed simply as orange from the same supplier, we expect that orange to be the same across the products. The screens were not listed as anything other than orange, just like the chairs.

Unbelievable.

Terrible! Ordered a chair at the start of April and a week later told that it was out of stock but that they could send a replacement. I was told it would arrive in 3-5 days but I heard nothing.

I secured a chair elsewhere in the time I was waiting for this delivery so asked to cancel my order and receive a refund on 20th April. I was told that had been done and it should take 5-10 days.

I now have Eliza Furniture (obviously the order has been contracted out) chasing me to deliver a chair that I don't want and I'm now just getting a standard 'we're busy' email back and still no cancellation 15 days after it was requested.

Ordered a chair May 12th. I was informed the chair wasn't available on the 15th May and four weeks later still waiting for a refund. Cannot get through on the customer service number and emails go unanswered. Very poor experience and I would advise to avoid spending your money with them.

I am not even sure this company is still in business or still has any inventory.
Ordered three months ago, with a delivery date mid May. Obviously the delivery date went by without a word from them. Several unanswered emails and countless calls later, still no luck.
Every time you call you have to wait 30min, to be told that your query is under consideration and will be answered within 5 business days (and that's when they don't rudely hang up on you).
I have finally decided to cancel my order. Stressed, as I am not sure they have enough liquidity to refund me.

These are difficult times, we all understand that. But if you are taking orders and cannot deliver, communicate with your customers. Ignoring us, ignoring emails, not answering the phone etc, will just lead us to believe you are no longer there. Contacting my credit card to arrange a refund. Very poor service.

If i could give 0 stars i would. My own fault for not reading reviews first but we have had nothing but trouble from the start and it is still ongoing. Early May i purchased 2 desks and 2 chairs showing in stock. I received an email within the week informing me of delays. The desks wouldn't arrive until August but the chairs would arrive within 2 weeks. I therefore requested a refund for the desks as arriving in August was no good for us but agreed to keep the chairs. Received an email informing me they had cancelled the desks and arranged a refund. This never arrived until i had chased them 38 times over 8 weeks!

I ordered hand gel from this company and it was suppose to be delivered this week and now they are saying it will come after a month why take my money in the first place when your website said it was in stock!! Absolutely horrendous stay away from this company. Not to mention charging a ridiculous amount of money for a hand gel taking advantage because people are desperate for this product.
