Don t have the stock that is advertised as available. Took a week to advise this on one item and offer a replacement. Took a further week to advise on the other item and 6 weeks later they have neither delivered the item or even made contact. Laughably they actually sent the first item twice - 5 weeks apart. Clearly have no idea what they are doing and what customer service means.

Horrendous company BEWARE!! We ordered our stock over 8 weeks ago with the confirmation of a delivery in 2 weeks. Now we have still not had any stock. They are happy to answer the phone and take your money but as far as delivering your order and actually speaking to someone at this company is non existent. Several times we have tried to ring and speak with someone direct with no luck whatsoever The only response we get is an automated email which doesn't help us at all. I have no idea how this company is still going!! If we do eventually get our order we may think about reviewing again. Please don't waste your time or money!
UPDATE: 57 days have past and we are still struggling getting in touch if anyone. We have received half of our order but can not do anything with this until the other half is received. The stock does not come from the company we ordered from and arrives straight from a company called dams. These people look like a big company but maybe a bedroom seller. Here today gone tomorrow. We will keep you updated on any response we get but we don't even know at this moment if we will be receiving our full order. Our advice would be to really think again if ordering from here.
Just want to say stay well clear of this company as they are not what they claim to be . They are rude they never contact you back it takes up to an hour to get through to someone , they are absolutely clueless to help in anyway and if by any chance the goods that you ordered are not up to standard then it's a complete nightmare to get the goods sent back and get a refund and they shift the blame onto the customer that they haven't returned goods and then don't even refund the full amount. To be honest this company should be shut down or investigated by watchdog.The Manager Craig is the most rudest person as he is unhelpful and the most obnoxious person.

Do not buy from this company. I ordered a chair and it was not delivered (due on 25.6.2020) tried to call and the company do not answer the phone I have sent 3 contact forms via their website and had no response. I have now had to approach my credit card company to try and get my money back! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
Ordered 2 desks, waited 2 months for delivery, appalling service. Rude sales staff on the phone want nothing to do with you once the order has been placed, half an hour wait on customer services every time. Both orders arrived damaged with wrong parts, they advised they'd resolve within 48 hours, nothing received back and so now I've gotta wait another half an hour for their customers services. Honestly, if you're thinking of ordering from this Company then don't, find something from somewhere else. Quality is rubbish, service is the worst, and it's not like they're mega cheap either!
Terrible customer service. Ordered a chair on the 27th June, delivery date 3rd July- no chair. Rang 4 times at 30 minutes a time over 4 days with no answer. Sent 3 emails with no answer. On the fifth try of ringing finally got through. Chair is delayed and won't be delivered till 20th july. That has been and gone, I have phoned to ask where it is, to be told they have to email the delivery company, can't speak on the phone, promised that the next day someone would contact me regarding query and new delivery date...STILL NO CONTACT!! Just brilliant, I had been looking all over for a simple home office desk. There is no sign of going back to the office so need to make WFH work for me. Found exactly what I was looking for here. Placed my order and three days later, 2 days earlier than expected my desk arrived. Super easy to put it all together and really pleased with the quality of the desk as well. So much better than my previous arrangement. Would use these guys again should the need arise. Have actually passed the details onto some friends who are also WFH.

Ordered an office chair which on their site measured the wrong size, so when it turned up it was bigger than stated.
When I called up to ask to send it back I couldn t get through to customer services so I opted to go through to their sales line instead.

Appalling customer service. I made an order for a large desk, I know its busy as many people are trying to start working from home during this crisis, however; I ordered the item and immediately received an email saying the money had been taken and that id receive email of shipping confirmation shortly. 4 days later no email. spent over 1.5 hours trying to get through to customer service with no joy. I tried the sales option and they answered inside 20 seconds. I asked if the desk i had ordered was in stock which the lady replied affirmative. I then queried where my order was up to, she quickly back tracked and said the item was actually just out of stock and if I wanted a refund I'd get a call back from the customer service team the same day... It's now 3 days later. Such bad customer service and lying about stock to get new orders is appalling!

Furniture at work, well I have no furniture at work, I ordered it for next day delivery on Monday and its now Thursday and the second time I have called and emailed to track my order, only to find out that it has not yet been dispatched due too the stock not actually being in house.
So I am still waiting for my call from the manager, which was due top be 5 minutes yesterday at 12.34 and now Thursday 11.37 still not had a call. If you are looking to get your office kitted out in a timely manner, my suggestions to you would be, DO NOT USE THIS FIRM!

If only I had read these reviews I wouldn't had placed an order with company .. Same problem as others - ordered a chair and some cleaning products and recieved an E mail saying chair out of stock so they offered me a cheaper chair at a more expensive price than on the website!!! So we asked the to cancel the order and refund. Well that was 4 months ago .. STILL WAITING! Complete Shambles ...... I received my order by Parcelpost, and was somewhat concerned at the state of the packaging. The cardboard box was torn and looked as if it had been opened and taped shut again, I discovered the five star chair base had been damaged , the telescopic covering of the gas lifting equipment did not stay as it should and that I had only received three out of the six screws required to attach the arm rests. They were scattered all over the bottom of the packaging and rolling around loose .. Some may have fallen out of the tears in the packaging. I rang the company and sent photos of the damaged pieces and Danielle, the representative in the transport department, has ordered a replacement base , which I hope to receive very soon. It was disappointing to discover broken and omitted things, because it means having to wait longer for the replacements .Danielle was very helpful and ,I hope ,has sorted it out,
Ordered my chair on Monday evening and it arrived on the Friday morning of the same week (19th June), which was earlier than the projected delivery date of 23rd June. Chair was easy to assemble and meets requirements and expectations. Very relieved and pleased with my purchase after reading all the poor reviews.

I should have looked at the previous reviews. My order came with a missing part. I wrote several E Mails with no response. I phoned on many occasions but got tired of waiting and waiting and waiting for someone to answer the phone. I got through once after an hour or so, the guy that answered told me he was the wrong department, I informed him of my waiting time and he told me I had not been waiting and calls are answered straight away. This guy was rude and angry, grrrrr, clearly an over achiever that is probably more suited to cage fighting. My advise is read the past reviews, shop elsewhere and don't try to rectify the problem that you are sure to get.

Absolutely horrendous service!!!! Called and emailed multiple times with no response. I ordered a desk and chair, received an email on the expected due date (14th July) stating no stock and expected delivery will be sometime after 28th August when I ordered on 9th July. They make it out like everything in stock on website but it's not. Stay away from these cowboys!!!
Damaged goods and appalling follow-up service. I ordered a desk in November 2019 which was scheduled for delivery in December and confirmed by telephone. On the appointed delivery day nothing arrived so I rang the following day and was told that there was a problem with the legs so delivery would now be around Jan 7th. Jan 7th came and went and I received conflicting delivery dates from Furniture at work and their delivery company indicating a lack of communication between the two. When the desk arrived I signed for it and then noticed that it was damaged but because I'd signed the driver wouldn't take it back. Because it was the underside of the desk I decided that I would assemble it anyway and I was in need of a desk to use but it didn't assemble correctly. The saga has continued and I've said I'll keep the desk, modify it so I can use it, and requested a partial refund for the damage and assembly issue. Three months on I still haven 't received a response

Correction to Furniture at work reply : Broken chair paddle still not delivered as it stated on their reply saying "it has been delivered". Just to replace a part almost 6 days taken and not known when this will be delivered.
I ordered because we use them at work, when delivery didn't turn up the next day I emailed and got a response within 24 hours explaining the situation; unprecedented level of orders, what they were doing about it and the impact it would have on my order. They upgraded my order, at no additional cost and delivered within the time line given. Considering the circumstances that's very good. Well done FAW

I am really disappointed with the level of service I have received from this company, we paid in full for our order and was expecting 'express' delivery as per the charges raised, expected delivery date came and went, I then contacted them only to be told the delivery would not be for a further 2 weeks as some items were out of stock. At this point I requested a refund on my express delivery charges, which was refused. A few days later 2/4 my order turned up, I then chased again for the rest of the order and again complained about my express delivery charges with no response. I then received a further 1/4 of my order with one I item still missing. I am told to expect the rest of the shipment by the 14th July some 2 months after the initial order was paid. Having to spend nearly an hour on the phone each time I have to call, the whole purchase process has been painful and expensive - I wish I had used another provider.
Despite their promise of 'delivery on time, first time', this is far from the truth despite constantly promising a delivery date. Then upon cancellation of the order due to them not having yet delivered the furniture, they try and charge a 'fee' for the refund.

This is the most underhand company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with, their customer service is non-existent, and they'll keep telling you it needs to be signed off by a manager. Four weeks later there is still no refund and they now want to try and charge a 'fee' to refund you!
They ignore emails, and also try and claim try and say you agreed to terms and conditions which at no point were agreed to!

I ordered and paid for a desk in March....finally gave up in mid July and requested a refund. Randomly 2 weeks after confirming they would refund the legs arrived (pack 1 of 3). It is now the 29th of September and still no refund.
The customer services department cannot be reached by phone. When emailing they reply around 2 weeks after your communication and answer a completely different question....then you wait another 2 weeks.
I will take this up with trading standards and hopefully they can take some action.
As others have said it appears this is a "bedroom" company i.e. they have no stock but place your order with a 3rd party.
Please be advised - avoid this company at all costs. They sent us the wrong delivery THREE times in succession, took our money in November and only after several phonecalls and emails, and advising that we would have to take them to trading standards did they finally refund the money, halfway through January.

Rather a disappointing start but Craig and his team rectified the order. I understand it was as a result of a change in product line and that it had happened to more than one customer. Craigs level of customer service met the desired standard when dealing with disappointments in business. I shall be shopping with the company in future.

Bought an office chair required urgently on a next day delivery . When it hadn't turned up after 2 days I chased it and was told it was out of stock and no more due for a month. They offered me a different chair but i wanted the original as it matched the others in our office. I asked for a refund which they said had been passed to management to approve and wasn't received at this end for two further weeks and several more emails. Will not be buying again.
Very efficient service - was sent a sample chair, the chairs I then ordered arrived quickly and on time, and the people taking orders over the phone are easy/pleasant to deal with.
Purchased my product on the 9th March... I was told 3-5 working day delivery, I was totally fine about this due to recent circumstances.
on the 16th March, I requested a refund and was told they will file this through and it will take 3-5 working days until I receive my refund.
23rd March, I was told it wouldn't take 3-5 working days now because they have put it on urgent to the finance team.

Zero stars actually. Worst service ever. As the delivery of the desk was delayed over and over again I decided to cancel the order. This was confirmed by the customer service. 2 weeks later my flatmate accepted a delivery which turned out to be the desk. I contacted the CS again via email to ask why the desk was delivered - no answer. I tried calling them, after waiting for 1 hr on the phone they answered that the delivery was a mistake by them. (I had already bought a different desk so I had no use for it). Now, 2 months after my cancellation of the order I still have the unwanted desk, the CS keeps telling me that the transportation team will be in contact with me to collect the desk and I still haven t been refunded. WORST SERVICE EVER!!!
Shocking Company! Failed to deliver several times so i cancelled the order as 'unfulfilled', lone and behold item arrived the day after. This company refuse to collect the item and refuse to process a refund. Avoid at all costs. There are some great companies out there, this is not one of them. There are ignoring all correspondence.
Ordered a small office table - arrived damaged with no invoice to put through our accounts system. Called to explain the invoice issue, was spoken to terribly. I then explained the table was damaged.... put me through to customer services, still holding 25 minutes later. Placed my order 14/04/2020 (#102071702), received my electronic invoice. On the 17/04/2020 contacted them via website, response back, item not in stock - so they sell items that they do not have! Was offer a couple of alternatives with a 48hr delivery promise by Colin.
Selected one option and accepted the 48hr delivery despite the fact I had paid for next day delivery.
On the 20/04/2020 I received an email saying a 3 to 5 day wait for an answer to my email.
On the 22/04/2020 I called customer services and was told the item had been despatched. Did not and has still not been received.
22/04/2020 I emailed them again and on 23/04/2020 fobbed off once again. Still no delivery! Really unhappy customer!!!!
24/04/2020 - Ordered items have arrived and in the deconstructed form appear absolutely fine.
As a company you need to work on yoour communications; even automated ones. If I send a product to my customer; they receive full automated communications including tracking information as the order progresses through our systems.
You need to work on this and be more willing to give correct information to your customers. This has felt like drawing blood from a stone for the past week or so.
In view of the fact that clearly work was being done by someone there and by the fact that the order has arrived today despite anyone being able to even confirm for sure it has left the warehouse, I have amended this review; Looks like assembly will be very straightforward.
Ordered a 4 shelf tall cupboard on Wed and received it the following Tues. Impressed with the quality of the cupboard, and delivery was quicker than the 5-10 days stated. So my experience of this company has been good, and I would use them again.

Easy to order from website. I only ordered one chair for my grandchild. Arrived before expected date. Chair is super. Excellent price. Packaging was enormous for one child s chair! I was kept up to date via email. Courier company was the issue. They sent text to say chair was arriving on Friday but was not delivered until the Monday. They also had wrong postcode in their text. I gave up trying to get in touch with courier firm as the number I phoned just kept me on hold for 30mins and they never answered my email.
ordered a chair and desk to work from home, ordered on May 5th, noted a statement on the website that 'business as usual' despite covid. Opted specifically for next day delivery. The chair arrived 23 days later, the desk is missing. No reply to e-mails, no reply to voice mails, if you do manage to get through to the 'On-Hold' system, it is 5p per minute (plus 15p connection) due to it being an 0844, and your call will never be answered. Im guessing they have zero staff due to covid (if so, make it clear on your website), or alternatively, they are an appalling company. If i could give zero stars, i would.

Enquired about a desk, ordered it and was sent the wrong desk. Contacted several times to explain the wrong desk had been sent. Eventually someone got back to me and basically said that the website listing and picture was wrong and the desk I had received was all I was going to get. Stuck with the wrong desk. Terrible company would not recommend. Not one attempt to resolve the issue despite multiple emails.

I have ordered several items from this company over the years. The furniture itself is always good quality and appears to be very well made. So 5 stars for the products.
However, if you have a problem with your order, things start to unravel on the customer service front. I cancelled an order ten hours after ordering as I realised I didn't need what I had ordered (I ordered at 11pm and called at 9am the next day.) I was told this couldn't be done straight away and that someone would call me back. Someone did call back and tell me that was absolutely fine and that I would be refunded.
Imagine my surprise when my order turns two weeks later up whilst I am work. When I called Furniture At Work they told me that I would have to pay a cancellation fee and a collection fee and that I would be called back and told exactly how much this would be. A day and a half later and I have not been called back. Why I should have to pay either of these fees when I cancelled the order is beyond me.
In a nutshell, the customer service is 1 star.
If you are lucky and get what you want first time, it's all good. If you have to deal with the customer service team, all the best!
Ordering office furniture during the midst of a pandemic was never going to be easy, but having stumbled across Furniture At Work and with both my wife and I, working from home with only 1 desk, a must.
I placed the order on Thursday, selecting next day delivery, as we were in desperate need. I had a massive corner desk, which I sold in record time, to clear way for 2 new desks, 2 pedestal units and 1 office chair.
Having received no confirmation of delivery, I decided to follow up with Customer Services. Can't say I was on hold for too long and go through to a polite agent, who promptly advised me of stock issues. She offered to look into it and within minutes of doing so, received an email from them advising me of alternative options, given that the desk I originally wanted wasn't in stock until May. As it also transpired, the pedestals weren't in stock either, but they quickly offered alternatives. In fact Furniture At Work offered upgrades at no cost to me. Having confirmed everything over the phone and via email, they said delivery would now take place Monday.
Come Monday, still nothing - no confirmation or anything. More chasing, this time speaking to Gerald, who proved exceptional given my exasperated tone. Until this stage, I'd not even bothered to look into reviews and was a little mortified to see many negative comments said about them. However, it turns out my number was incorrect, not sure how, but likely my fault. They had been trying to get in touch with me but couldn't get through (an email would have been nice though!) After being put on hold, finally everything was in place and now Wednesday was the lucky day (we hoped!)
On Tuesday, we received delivery of the chair; DPD delivered it who are normally very good at notifying me in advance, offering tracking, alternative delivery options etc. I received nothing, but given we're all on lockdown, it wasn't much of an issue. Wednesday morning I did a little more chasing as no confirmations of delivery were sent, but spoke to Gerald once again, who assured me that our delivery was on its way.
Despite a few communication issues, we finally received the order. The furniture itself is of great quality, easy to assemble and looks absolutely fantastic. Given the pandemic, I think Furniture At Work did a great job and hats off to the team for the great support in delivering my furniture, albeit a little late!
I wish I d read the reviews on here and Trust Pilot before ordering yesterday. Your website stated next day delivery and then you receive an email stating not in stock and revised date sometime in May. Having read the reviews this is standard practice for this company. Take the money and declare the item not available.
Bought a chair almost two weeks ago and I m still waiting for it... Went for this website as it was stating "NEXT Day Delivery" which is a lie!
[27/04 @20:45] I contacted furniture work via webform a week ago and received a reply from Customer Services <CSControl@furnitureatwork.co.uk> on 22 April 2020 09:14. As you can see there is no "next day delivery" as I still haven't received my product. I sent an email to CustomerResolutionTeam@furnitureatwork.co.uk this pm at 27 April 2020 13:05 and hopefully someone will get back to me soon (i will update here). Everyone is suffering from this unexpected situation (covid-19) if your business is no longer able to do "Next Day Delivery" maybe it is time remove this AD and put a realist date, it is simple and will keep your clients happy

Dreadful customer service. I paid 150 pounds for a chair which has not been delivered and I cannot get a response regarding a refund. Do not buy from this company.
Furniture at work .. thanks for your response on google BUT.... I have been emailing and calling for the last 3 weeks and no one responds. I ordered next day delivery on 23rd march and still no chair or refund. I am so annoyed and just want a response. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!
!!!!! PLEASE AVOID !!!!! I order and paid for a chair on the 7th of June. Was e mailed a delivery date for the 17th. during the day i receive a emailsaying due to corona virus there was a delay of a few weeks. As this was not convenient i e mailed back straight away asking to cancel and requested a refund. No reply for a few days so tried to ring and no answer, left a message and no call back. I e mailed again and was advised that the order was cancelled and a refund will be passed in a few days time. 2rd of July i get a delivery from the company with my chair. I had already purchased ANOTHER ONE BUT AM GOING TO KEEP THIS ONE AS WELL AS CANT BE ASKED TO DEAL WITH THE HASSLE OF RETURNING ETC
Picture on website did not properly represent the chair I received. Parcel Force used for delivery but failed to deliver next working day ordered Friday received the following Wednesday with no explanation. Competitive pricing is a positive but let down by attention to detail and Parcel Force, who I have found previously many times to be unreliable.
