Terrible service! I had ordered a desk from Furniture at work for next day delivery and paid the extra cost for this service. The desk did not arrive the next day it arrived a WEEK later. To add insult to injury the desk has arrived without the desk top so it is effectively useless!

I have called numerous times only to be put on hold for along time when you select 'option 2' customer services and then nobody picks up. However if you select option 1 'sales' then somebody is always available coincidentally. I have been told that the delivery driver is at fault and I now have to wait until Monday for my desk!

I understand times are currently difficult with this outbreak, however this is no excuse for charging for next day delivery stating on the website it will arrive next day, then delivering a week later without the required parts.

They do not understand customer service, cant get through to anybody and nobody will respond to your emails. Really disappointed!

Have dealt with FaW a few times in the past and mostly no problems at all.
Decided to order some hand gel and wipes as part of our Covid PPE.
That was on 30th March. Website said 5 weeks delivery... ok. Then order confirmation came in at 7 weeks...
9 weeks in, no product, auto responses to emails and no phone contact possible.
Plainly no stock and taking money under false pretences.

I have been told 'This refund will be processed and the transaction will be completed within the next 10 working days.' It has been more than 3 Months, don't try your luck with this company. I had a friend said the same thing, order something and didn't receive it. There is no guarantee whatsoever.

I think this company is doing Illegal fundraising, they try to lure all the customers to buy certain things they don't have, once they achieved what they want, they will send the refund.

Contacted the police and local trading standard, I wish there is a clear guideline of what to do, wish this kind of thing never happens.

Despite Furniture at Work agreeing a refund, they have failed to send any money as I paid for express 7 day delivery on 23 July and they didn t deliver within the time, or contact me to say there was a delay until after the delivery date had passed. The first time I called they did not record the conversation on my notes, hence the first delay in the refund. The second conversation was with Patricia, who sent an email confirming I would get a refund within 10 days, that was on 20 August 2020. I sent an email to Patricia on 3 September, but had no response. I called on 7 October to chase this up, kept waiting on the phone for more than 30 minutes to be told that they hadn t calculated it and didn t know the reason for the delay, but the refund was being processed. I heard back on 8 October saying that the manager hasn t confirmed the refund. On Friday, I was promised a call from a manager called Colin, who called me while I was waiting to be transferred to him. I called back, but Colin wasn't available either on Friday and has not called back today, Monday 12 October despite a reminder this morning. The refund is still not in my account and therefore I feel I have no choice to post this review as I do not want other companies to be subject to this poor customer service.

They never sent me a receipt, after confirming delivery date they pushed it back by a month and never responded to my emails asking to cancel the order. I never received any updates as to shipment status. Never answered the customer service helpline either.

Absolutely horrible customer service.

Do not order from this company. They are scamming people. They will take your money but won't send out your order. They also do not reply to any contact forms on their website. You cannot get through to customer services on the telephone. An automated service cuts your call off saying they are too busy. I've tried many times at different times but I still cannot get through. I would like a full refund! I understand everyone is struggling at the moment due to COVID-19 but this is not an opportunity for you to scam people. There are many people suffering in the same boat as me. Check trustpilot, Instagram and twitter.

Missing modesty panels, but the omissions weren't noted in a timely manner. When questioned at a later date we were offered a chance to purchase said panels at a reduced rate. The desks appear to function as intended, however the additional bracing that would have been provided is having an adverse affect on the desks during normal everyday use. Slightly bitter taste in our mouth having to pay again for parts that should have arrived in the first instance. Consideration for other companies will be given for future purchases. Why one star? Simply because we are having to re-purchase parts that are intrinsic to the purchased items.

I fully appreciate that companies are struggling in the current climate but their customer service is awful. We placed an order for a simple desk for delivery on 28/07/20, after several phone calls and voicemails chasing we were informed it would be delivered on the 04/08/20. When the delivery didn't turn up we had to chase again to be told their system hadn't been updated by logistics and they would get back to us. Two days later we then receive an email to say the desk is actually out of stock until the beginning of September - ridiculous! Order now cancelled.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Website says "plenty of stock, next day delivery" but I have been waiting 2 weeks for my order and it still hasn't been delivered. When I chased after a week I was hung up on then received an email saying "we no longer have your desk in stock so we're sending a different one and it will arrive within 2-3 working days" no apology either. It has been 11 days since that email and still no desk or any further communication! They have not even offered to refund the difference for the cheaper desk let alone even asked if I want the different desk. I tried calling 3 of their listed numbers before I could actually get through on the phone and each time have been left on a recorded message for over 15 mins. Definitely do not recommend and will not order from them again.

I've ordered quite a few chairs from this company over the years and service has always been good. I ordered a chair last Thursday on the Black Friday sale which should have been delivered on Friday but only got delivered on Monday I suspect due to the Black Friday rush. I would recommend adding an order tracking facility to your website like Amazon has.

We last used this company 3 years ago when we had ...

We last used this company 3 years ago when we had a fitting out contract which included Bisley Filing Cabinets and they performed well enough for us to try to use them again for the the same items for three more contracts.

Early August 2019, we ordered 30 filing cabinets and were told that as these were a special order, delivery from Bisley would be 4-5 weeks - however, they could get 5 with 7-14 days. We accepted this and paid in full - and thank goodness we paid by card. We then sent an email confirming the code of the Bisley Cabinets and the addresses for delivery.

The first 5 cabinets were delivered but they were the wrong model and would not fit the installation area. We immediately informed Furniture @ Work of the error and were told by their customer (dis)service department, that it would take at least 2 days to investigate. We were then told that we had ordered incorrectly and it was not their fault... but they would come back to us. We kept on pushing and spoke to various people including a female who liked the sound of her own voice so much that she would not carefully listen to what we were saying.

We then emailed a layout drawing of ours from 2016 detailing the correct Bisley cabinets that we had previously ordered and delivered in 2016 - and it was these that we required again - as stated in our email to them confirming the order.

At this point they could see that they had fouled up - but rather than just supplying the correct ones, they tried to charge us more money to put their error right!. We therefore cancelled the order and asked for a refund - and this is when the icing went on the cake.

We ourselves take cards and do on occasions, need to give a refund. When we refund, it is immediate and without any long waits. However, with these jokers, it takes over 5 days to physically instruct their card company and then the normal three days to clear the card company's system.

A complete lack of care is shown by this company. They lie. They hold on to your money. They let you down and more importantly, they let themselves down. If this was the last office furniture company in the world, we still would not use them.

As a matter of interest, we placed the order with an alternative supplier who has matched price and is delivering within 2 weeks!

I wish I had read the reviews of this company before ordering. Ordered a chair on next day delivery. Get an email the next day saying the chair is now out of stock (yet they are still selling it next day delivery on the website) and I have to wait until mid July. I called to cancel the order a week ago... NOTHING! I don't hold out much hope of getting me goods and am now going down the route of getting my bank to investigate for fraud.

Do yourself a favour and do not buy from this company. They need shutting down.

Eventually I got the chair nearly 2 weeks later, DHL refused to take it back, they told me that I needed to contact them and arrange a collection... well since I had the package, I decided to give it a go, it was a second hand chair, full of scratches, hair and some liquid, which I suppose it was milk, under the armrest, contacted them again, arranged a collection , it was collected by Tuffnells Parcels Express on the 17th... They told me again that I'd get the delivery within 7 working days.

On the 22nd I called once again and I asked to speak to the manager,since no refund was issued. He gave me his word that I'd get my money within 5 days... his word matches the company that he works for, means nothing.

29th of April and I'm still chasing my money.

Was conned big time, still trying to get my money back. Will do whatever it takes.

Please avoid this company.

Awful service and no communication with customer service. I had ordered office chair called on their website Holden Executive Leather Operator Chair and received chair called Zeus 200K2 which you won't find on their website. I googled the chair's name and of course you can get that chair much cheaper from every supplier who honestly advertise this chair for what it is. Nowhere on on Furniture At Work's website you will find a note saying "by the way, the name of the product exists only on this website and you won't see it on the product you will receive, it is only for the purpose to mislead customer so they would buy our overpriced products you can get cheaper elsewhere". I have tried customer service but of course got nowhere. Won't be buying again. Avoid!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! If you could give a negative review i definitely would. My 'next day delivery' chair came two months late and when it arrived it was second hand, broken and dirty. When i tried to arrange a refund/exchange, their customer 'support' team doesn't get back to me. I called them many times but never get through as they are "busy". I've probably emailed them 50 times but nothing back. I'm not just emailing them to annoy them. It's a total scam. Do yourself a favour and avoid this company.

Desks arrived 3 weeks later as promised & very happy with the quality & price.
Only real fault was no response from them for info & had to wait ages for the invoice for our books but considering whats going on with Covid etc very happy.

Avoid this company at all costs.

I ordered two identical desks from them and only one was delivered. It s impossible to contact the company - they ignore emails and the phone lines just ring and ring. I did get through to someone when I selected the new order phone option but they were very abrupt and said they couldn t talk about an existing order and cut me off. Going to sumit a Section 75 Credit Card claim.

My instinct is this business is in financial difficulties.

UPDATE: The missing desk has finally been delivered but the customer service has been non-existent. Customers have no value, and I would not go near them again.

I understand there is a pandemic, but still waiting over a month, with no delivery insight and no communication from the company is ridiculous. Complete nightmare. IMPOSSIBLE to contact their customer services. I now have their incorrect order in my living room for more than 2 weeks while my collegues who ordered elsewhere incl amazon have their offices kitted out. Basically they made a killing in the Covid rush and when the demand over whelmed them, rather than shut down for a bit to deliver those orders properly carried on pumping through the orders into a broken and overwhelmed system. I REALLY REALLY wish I had never ordered from them. Take the amount of bad reviews as an indication when deciding who to order from. I generally only bother to review when something is really good but feel I have to share that these guys are to be avoided if you want to get the correct equipment and any form of customer service. Its really bad .

Unable to obtain any response from their customer services either by phone or mail and zero communication about the progress of my order other than a first mail confirming. The order is now late.
There are plenty of other companies who offer the same products, with good service, so why would I every use these again or recommend?

Absolutely appalling company. If it isn't clear by the already abundant negative reviews, do not use them under any circumstances. After waiting 2 months for delivery, received through an incorrect order with wrong parts and had to chase consistently over a week in order to get anywhere. Was never called back and spent collectively over 4hrs calling and on hold for an error caused by Furniture at Work, since submitted a complaint and 5 further emails over the period of 2 months which no response and no answer.

Poor customer service. When I bought furniture, I discovered some of them damaged because there was not any good packing. Staff tried to help however they were not any knowledge of the products and they weren t attentive to earn satisfaction. Furniture is overpriced and not of great quality. Very disappointing.

Seriously disappointed with the delivery of goods. Fantastic service with the sales team up until the order was placed and then everything fell apart! From sending the wrong chairs, to items being out of stock, to communication to even more wrong items being delivered and ending up with a coffee table with no base! How can this be so difficult to get right? I placed an order on behalf of a client and I'm left feeling completly morified by the service you provided! This is the worst service I have ever received! My order is late, with no update received at all. I have been trying to get hold of this company for two weeks, received no reply to emails, been in a call queue multiple times only to be cut off after 30 minutes. I managed to get through to a member of staff once, who promised to get back to me within 48 hours... I am still waiting... it has been 3 days... I want to cancel my order and will be demanding a refund as soon as I can actually speak to someone. After placing an order for desks and a chair then reading all the reviews I was worried it was a scam, but despite the delivery dates being 'on or around' the date given on the email, everything arrived within a couple of days of the predicted date.
Their communication is awful but the products are good quality and reasonably priced so I'm happy with the purchase.

STOP. Before you place any order for any Home Office Cabinets, please take 5 minutes to read my review.
I placed an order for Grey Nebraska Home Office Cabinets after planning what would be best suitable in the room I would be using and my needs.
I wanted certain cabinets, but was told by furniture at Work (FaW) I could not order individual items and that I would need to purchase various sets to get - roughly what I wanted. That was not what I wanted to hear.

After a delivery date came and went, I contacted FaW who tell me that once an order is placed, they no longer have control over it. The order is sent to a company who make the cabinets and then arranges transport.
This is now the bit you wish to hear.
A very helpful gentleman at - R White Cabinets of Poole in Dorset (contact details available on the web) stated that If I spoke to them first, I could have placed an order for the individual cabinets I wanted and would match to price of FaW. I wish that I would have known this sooner and would not have ordered through FaW as they gave me slightly false information.
Why have I given 5 * then ?
Well, for just one cabinet that I could not order on its own, placing the order was straight forward and communications were good.
Once the delivery date had passed, both FaW and R White Cabinets were involved with the tracking down of the order and I could not have asked for more from the two.
The delay was actually with the transport Company holding the pallet in its warehouse.
If you want something individual or two cabinets the same, approach R White first.
The order arrived perfectly but a week late and the cabinets are now in place with the workmanship miles better that I expected.
Thank to both Companies, and I will use again when the needs arise.

with over 50000 items available to chose from, you'd think they have logistics under control. Understand that times are different with the pandemic but a 3 month wait, after having called first to confirm availability is frankly unacceptable. I ordered an office table from them in April...and am STILL WAITING for it. Now I'm trying to call them, and been on hold for almost 20min. When I asked for a discount I get silence...
And now I can see I'm not the only one caught out. Lesson learnt that it's best to check reviews first. Stay away is the bottom line

Have been chasing nearly every day for a refund (still no refund 2 months later) and customer services are impossible to get in contact with.

Worst service i have ever had the displeasure of being involved with. Firstly they took payment for speedy delivery (within 5 working days) and its taken more than 20 days and we still don't have a complete order! then when you try to make contact with them your n the phone for 45 mins with no answer, when you speak with credit control and they wont deal with your issues. All they are good at is taking your money the rest is a load of rubbish.

When some of items do eventually turn up they are damaged, due to poor quality packing. Stay clear is my recommendation.

After ordering my chair on the 29th of April 2020 I was told the day before it was due to arrive that it was out of stock and offered a higher spec chair in its place. I agreed to this as long as they could honour the 5 day delivery time. 5 days came and went with no reply to my emails. 22 days after originally ordering the chair it turned up. Missing 5 of the 12 screws. I now have a half assembled chair I can do nothing with. Customer service had me on hold for 15 minutes before disconnecting me. Absolute joke of a company. Do not buy from them even if you are badly stuck. You won t get what you ordered and it will probably be missing parts. I d actually pay google to let me give them zero stars instead of 1

AVOID! Awful service, can't comment on product as I've still not received my 'Next Day Kemper computer desk (black oak)' that I ordered 26/3/20 and was confirmed for delivery 27/3.
Called twice and was listened to a message advising to call back end of week.
Used the Customer Contact Form 5/4 and received a standard reply 15/4 advising they'd be in contact in 3-4 days. Nothing.
I attempted contact again 6/5 via an email to the customer resolution team and have still heard nothing.
Item now shows on site as 20 working days delivery.
I now just want my money back (which unsurprisingly they were very quick to take way back on 28/3).

We needed reception furniture for our new office, and everything was spot on. Easy to order, quick to be delivered and best of all ready assembled so ready to go. The furniture has had lots of use and we did originally think due to the price point it might not last well, but can honestly say looks exactly the same today as when delivered. Definitely recommend this business.

Emailed back with another chair however no response for a week. Continued asking for a refund, two weeks later, still nothing. Tried calling however spent an hour waiting and no response. Finally, going to my credit card company to claim the money back. Avoid at all costs! Not possible to give it a zero star however that is what they deserve.

Can't express how much you should AVOID this company.

Ordered 2 work chairs for next day delivery. Wasn't expecting it to be super fast due to lock-down and COVID so happy to give leeway.

The order was in May, it is now AUGUST!



Update; 2 weeks later after being told that my order was delivered and they would look into it with the delivery company I have had.......no response or contact. I ended up going around most of my neighbours and did find a parcel that was delivered to a block of apartments way down the road.

So great, I got my 2 chairs....not quite.

I only found 1 chair had been delivered, this was confirmed by customer services. So no notification, no dispatch email, no delivery email and no effort to actually deliver the full order that they have the money for.

It gets even better. I thought, at least I can have one chair to sit on at work. I went about unpacking and assembling my one chair to find there where no wheels in the box.

To recap; I paid for 2 chairs for next day delivery. I received 1 chair, late, to the wrong address and without any wheels.

Update: upon contacting their customer services (30 minute hold to speak to someone every time) I was told my second chair would be dispatched along with an extra set of wheels for the original chair. Problem sorted.

Update of my update: my second chair has arrived! Hallelujah, finally, the smile on my face as I took delivery of my full order. I was beaming, ear to ear smiles, until I opened the box that is. Upon opening the box it was very clear the wrong chair had been sent (a basic, budget office chair - not what I ordered or paid for), it gets better though. Also no extra wheels. Summary: I now have 2 chairs - yippee, neither are correct. I have the right chair with no wheels and the wrong chair with wheels. I am now at the point where I don t know whether to laugh or cry. I m craughing! I know what the future holds, another 30 minutes of hold music and another discussion with customer services, a wait and then another wrong delivery.

Why me?! Why must the chair gods mock me so? I just want a comfortable wheelie chair (with wheels) to sit and occasionally glide across my work floor on.

I appreciate the difficult times we are living in but my experience is much the same as many others here. Chair ordered for next day delivery. Days later I'm told there will be a delay. Then get an email to say there will be a further delay. Eventually speeak to someone on the phone and cancel the order.

Told to wait 10 days for a refund - it didn't arrive. Spent ages on the phone and sent daily emails and eventually got a refund weeks later.

Terrible customer service. My advice is to avoid them. I only gave one star because you can't give zero stars. Only wish I'd read the reviews before ordering.

The delivery time are not what they say they are.
I have called their customer service several time (waiting for more than 20 minutes at the time) trying to get a tracking number or an estimated delivery date of my parcel. I was never able to obtain such information. My package got delivered with a 5 days delay when compared to their estimated delivery time.

Horrible company dont order from them have been told about 3 different dates now of when it will be coming no communication at all disappointing will not order from here again no apology no nothing greedy company have asked for refund was told no as it's out for delivery I would like to know where as my dad who is a key worker has took 2 days of work now and to be told that it will be delivered in 3 to 5 days I ordered on the 13th may we now on the 18th still no delivery and no refund so will be taking this to trading standards to look at as I'm 68 pound out of pocket and nothing to show for it disgusting.

I am one of the affected customer. No response to phone calls or email, there is no communication at all. The whole purpose of ordering through this website as it advertised to deliver in a week as compared to other sites where it said it would take a month. Now its been more than 2 months and yet no response. I had asked for refund and as always no response. Looks like a police complain needs to be made against them.

Terrible company, don't even want to give it a 1 star!
Unfortunately I am going through a similar experience as another customer below. I have been told two different delivery dates for our order and still no delivery.
I have tried to call numerous times and have been on the phone for AGES trying to get through, I have emailed customer service, sent over request via online and have also contacted sales- Sales answered straight away (obviously....) and advised there isn't anything they could do ?!
I'm now trying to think how I could possibly get our money back as I don't even want to give them our service but no options when you can't speak to ANYONE!
Do not use this company or ANYTHING!

Ordered 5 Clinell Hand Gel, 6 Clinell Universal Wipes and 7 Clinell Spary on March, and it cost me more that 200. It was said will be delivered on 22/05/2020, I have been waiting for a long time and there is nothing. I contacted with their service mail but no response. Finally, today, my ordering coming. I was totally shocked!!! They change the product in some other brands and it is kitchen spray. Other thing are missing. And the website shows the order is complete. There is no refund for rest and also the kitchen spray is cheap one. I need to say they are cheating on me. Really disappointed!!!

Shockingly bad service, in fact probably the worst company that we have ever dealt with.
Our order for screens was placed on 29 July.
The screens never arrived so we cancelled the order on 21 August and requested a refund, which also never arrived. They do now not answer the phone or respond to emails. The only way to stand a chance of recovering our money will be to take them to court. One star is too good for Furniture@work

I d give zero stars if I could. Ordered hand gel months ago, was listed as in stock. Absolute LIE keep sending emails saying delivery is coming, then it does not arrive. I have asked over and over for a refund but they just ignore us and keep sending a letter saying it will be delivered soon.

Update: they collected their damaged goods but after 30 days no refunds and ignoring any communication. So our money is gone and the goods as well. This is fraud in the 1000s of Pounds. Criminal charges will be filed. Beware. This is not a real company! BEWARE. They are just exploit people in times of crisis. Careful! DO NOT ORDER HERE. Fraudulent company. We ordered office furniture. And all we got was old, damaged items. Since then the re is radio silence. Nobody answers the phone and no reply to emails. You can see from the reviews here thst this company does not exist. And their customer service replies on reviews are fake too. If you email them nobody ever replies.

Horrendous experience, I sincerely suggest you do not use this company. At every step the service I received was awful and probably the worst company I've had the displeasure of dealing with. I didn't even get the products in the end because they missed the deadline I was promised (and two further dates when it was pushed back which I was not told about until I called to ask where my items were). Then two weeks from that an email confirmation of cancellation and that a refund will take 10 days. They will have had my money for 2 months and I got nothing but a headache.

Absolutely appalling business. Took full payment for order then advised that half of the goods weren't available. One desk arrived with damage, advised customer service on several occasions without response. Eventually got a response, sent photo's as requested, still no update 1 Month later.

Held on phone for 45 mins trying to get through. Probably the worst place you could buy office furniture on line from.

Had a really poor experience with this company. Had a sales call from them during a work day for a desk I has interested in, placed a order but then 1 hour later remembered I had a promotional offer which wasn't applied, call them back to cancel the order and reorder with the promo offer. Said I need to speak to a manager. I got a call the next day to advised me not to cancel the order by a manager "Colin Connell" and that it will be easier for them to sort it out on there end, and partial refund it directly. 1 week after the desk arrives and then the next day I got an email from someone called Greg McIvor saying sorry but on this occasion we will not be giving you the promotional offer... This is practising in complete bad faith and really surprised of how unprofessional this is. I email them back asking why they didn't just cancel the order in the first place as I requested, it's been 20 days and no response from Colin Connell or Greg Mclvor.... I kind of feel conned, so just be careful guys...

Absolutely disgusted with the service i have received, i received a new catalogue last week, made an order of tall shelving for my business.

after receiving an email on Sunday to say that my delivery is due on Monday 11th of March i ripped out all mu old units and shelving to make space for the new ones,
later that evening after not receiving my items i rang them to find out that my order was discontinued if id known that i would not have got rid of all the old units and shelving.
but no one at the company told or contacted me to inform me especially knowing it would affect me they said they would change the items to ones that are in stock.
i agreed then to get an email to say that half the order will turn up the the other half i have to wait nearly 2 weeks!

NOT acceptable as now my time has been wasted and i have to now source a supplier that can supply sooner!

Despite some bad reviews I ordered a pedestal unit anyway as it looked good for the price. I was given a delivery date of 17th July - package arrived well packed and good condition on 8th July !! Overall good product at great price and arrived super quick. Thanks.
