I have been a customer for 9 years. While I have had some annoying issues with them in the past, I stayed with them bc the issues eventually got repaired. It was kindof like being in an abusive relationship. Today I called to get my refrigerator fixed as it is making a horrible noise, and they told me that they cannot be out to fix it for a week! I told them that this was unacceptable and the lady said she would contact the dispatch supervisor and what do you know?!!? NADA! They still cannot be out here for a week. When I caved and said "OK, just giving the appointment for next week.", the lady said that I needed to pay the $45 dollar copay today and thats a new policy. You cannot service my appliance for 7 days, but you want my money today!?!?? This company just keeps getting more and more scummy by the day! Well, and after 9 YEARS as a customer, I cancelled my contract today and am supposed to receive a refund for 90% of the unused portion. I will find another company to service my home, and one with much better reviews than this company! If you are under contract with Service America, please note that you can cancel your contract and get your money back, so do it! If you are reading these reviews to decide whether to use Service America, then I think the reviews speak for themselves. Bye bye Service America and good riddance!! By the way, when I cancelled my contract, the lady on the phone could have cared less. You can hear the utter complacency in her voice.
