Really good recipe ideas and always delicious foods. Unfortunately, every 5 boxes are damaged or things are missing. The meat is often very good or sometimes very bad. There are only small things that can be improved but HelloFresh is now part of our everyday life. We are already looking forward to the next box.
Order arrived far too late, meat was no longer chilled. The tomato had burst and the lettuce had softened. The onion was also moldy. Customer service? There is not any. We became aware of Hello Fresh through Radio Potsdam and were actually lucky enough to win a trial package. I have to say that I am absolutely surprised, firstly by the handling of Hello Fresh and secondly by the quality and accuracy of the ingredients. The description of the preparation is great and the taste is unique. We would not have guessed. There was no shortage of ingredients that were even packed with ice packs and little cute potato bags. I just called customer service after doing this last week. I forgot to pause what was my fault but what I had called directly on Wednesday and said please cancel it. According to the employee, this was feasible. Today I get an email that my box is on the way. I called customer service again and this lady said it would not be feasible. So the other employee didn't tell the truth. Now I'm paying for a box that I can't use because I'm on vacation. I was always happy but now I will not order again. Rip off at its best !! Get a trial package by referring a friend - so I should only pay 15 instead of 45 including delivery. Of course you could only redeem the voucher after paying. So... The last deliveries had missing ingredients and in one case rotten tomatoes that had destroyed other ingredients. The last delivery was supposed to come today (Thursday). Yesterday evening we get an email that it will be delivered on Tuesday next week, and we are supposed to get the weekly delivery on the Thursday after.

I had a voucher, but unfortunately I never received the box, even though it shows online "delivered". The chat customer service said that I was unlucky because the voucher is now unfortunately gone. You could not do anything. On several mails and Instagram messages I received no answer. Now I'll test the box at Kochhaus.
I used Hello Fresh for 2-3 months. The concept is great but the execution and service is not. Instructions were sometimes incomplete (chop something up but never add it), sometimes they presume you have things like vinegar hanging around at home and don t include it. The main issue for me came when they simply changed my delivery day because of a public holiday without telling me, an email or notification should have been sent but I was left to spot it myself in the app. As the day they swapped it to wasn t convenient, I changed the day and time only to find a week later or so that, in doing so, every future delivery was changed. At this point, 8 days!!! before my delivery, I was told it was too late to change the date and time. They cancelled the order (insisting it was a goodwill gesture on their behalf). On the day that order would have come, I received two emails (one that recipe cards were missing and one that the meat they were including was going out of date 2 days later). As that was the day the order had been cancelled, I again had to contact them and, instead of receiving an apology, received a series of copy/paste templates not even answering my questions. At this point I cancelled hello fresh altogether but was told that I would still receive the order for over a weeks time as I had not cancelled it in time and had already used up my one goodwill cancel. The company seems to suffer from bad user design, terrible communication and a poor customer service team. It s a shame as the concept itself could be so good.
Excellent service so far. Delivery works as a clock, all the ingredients are packaged very nicely, and recipes are easy to follow. Recommend to everyone.

I am really unhappy with Hello Fresh Germany, Berlin Department. I ordered a box which war delivered in the beginning of December, one important ingredient was missing. Only for this ingredient I paid 8,99 euro. Since then I am writing emails to Hello Fresh, trying to get the money back, getting confusing answers from each time different person. On 19.12. some "Ivana" wrote me that they will send the money back. This did not happen. Today I get the email from "Miriam" who writes me that they cannot send me the money back because "I never paid directly", which ist nonsense. Probably I will have more emails from "Jenny", "Tom" and "Falk", all sending me different information to get the customer confused. It is obvious that Hello Fresh Germany uses this endless loop of false answers in order not to pay. Needless to say, I will never use Hello Fresh again and now share this story on all social media available. Beware of this company, they do not perform according to high managing standards.
I find delicious new recipes that are fun to cook, with fresh herbs and great spices. What bothers me very much, is that the specified preparation times are not nearly true - you need a lot more time than stated, in the meat dishes much longer than stated, with me is even more than twice! Preparation time occurred. The extent of the menus, which often consist of several, each prepared in different ways parts, it is clear even when reading through the recipes that the specified cooking time is not correct and is too short of calculated, even for savvy chefs.
The agreed price (including deduction of a voucher) for the first delivery is not adhered to. Deviation of more than + 10%. Customer service is not available. Unfortunately not a good start and therefore not recommended!
As already written several times, this is not a great startup but a rip off. After we ordered a test box a long time ago, we recently had a look at the app. We probably started a subscription without realizing it and only found out today that we were getting something delivered. This was only noticed by the PayPal debit amounting to around 60 euros. In the app itself, I discovered no way to end the subscription. The explanation on the website was also wrong. We do not have a "Stop delivery" button. There was no phone number anywhere on the website. But Google then had a number for us. The lady in the call center was nice and canceled the whole thing. I am curious if everything is done now and I will get the PayPal credit. Too bad that such business practices are even possible in Germany. It's a rip-off.
Every dish tastes (so far) excellent, the deliveries work great too. Unfortunately, a lot of waste and the cooking times are ambitious. Still recommended, the quality of the products is great, the portions are neat and at least no uncooked leftovers.

The missing stars and the pausing of my boxes (then as now, after I ordered another box) can be justified as follows: - 80% of the herbs are no longer usable upon delivery, so I always had to buy them new - the packaging of the cream / yoghurt / sour cream etc. is ALWAYS burst open. So that some foods are softened and no longer usable. Say also here must be bought. HelloFresh has now apparently recognized this problem and is packing the cream with other foods in plastic bags. This is always extremely annoying, especially if you don't check directly whether everything is there and only notice it when you're cooking.
Even if the customer service has always been very accommodating, the question is whether you would like to buy a very expensive cooking box if items are damaged and no longer usable, which means that you don't have to go to the supermarket (and, strictly speaking, a box becomes even more expensive).

I still think the idea is very good. Even after several years of "cooking time" (three meals a week HelloFresh as a supplement to the usual "German cuisine"). The groceries come into the house according to the number of people. The amount is always enough for us. I am particularly impressed by this, as nothing is ever too much and therefore nothing ends up on the compost. A clove of garlic, a spring onion, a piece of ginger ..... All you have to do is open and cook. Okay, the packaging is a bit much .... The ingredients are always great and absolutely fresh! It doesn't matter whether it's vegetarian or proper meat. To come to the price discussion: A meal for two people costs 13.30. In return I get good food, for example the meat really tastes "organic" and not like Aldi. How much does that cost for organic butchers? And everything is delivered to your door. So I can only recommend it. And the most important thing is that you can interrupt and reactivate the delivery yourself at any time. So no stress because of vacation or other absence or desire for a break. I have had good experiences with customer service so far.
Got a sample box. I prepared it within a week, the dishes themselves were not bad, but sometimes a joke for 3 people. Then I put it on pause because it was not possible to unsubscribe. My wife and I have been using HelloFresh for a couple of years off and on and we really love it. The recipes are super delicious and easy to cook. My wife and I are not very good at cooking but since we ve starting making our HelloFresh meals both of us have noticed some increase in our cooking skill ;) I would definitely recommend it to anyone that is curious about it and the nice thing is that you can start or stop receiving meals from them at anytime. There s really no commitment. I have cancelled our subscription and reactivated it multiple times. It is kind of pricy but I think it s fairly priced for the quality of food that you get.
It happens way too often that I do not get any mails and then suddenly comes a box I do not want to have. Moreover, it is much too expensive and the customer service I am 15 minutes in the waiting loop without what happened .... UPDATE: Customer service has now contacted. Nevertheless, I'm not satisfied anymore. The delivery service came at 22:45 yesterday which is definitely too late, there was no excuse.

We have used the New Year offer and ordered a box with 5 dishes for 2 people for just under 30 euros. The idea of saving time and nerves by delivering pre-made food is theoretically good. Normally, the box would cost 60 euros. Given the quality of the food in terms of the price I can not recommend it! We did not dare to use the food, so I can not say anything about the taste. Grottenschlechter service constantly lacked in our cooking boxes food often even the main ingredients. As a replacement you got then always tea towels / tablecloths for free. Does not help you at the moment either. Nevertheless you had to pay the boxes completely and you had to buy the missing ingredients yourself. Communication by chat or by phone is also a joke. The discount offered to you after a long time is ridiculous. I order now after about half a year my cooking elsewhere.

I am giving NO STARS on this company, as it is the WORST customer service I have every dealt with! I used this a few weeks in the past and was not at all satisfied with the lack of gluten free options, so I cancelled and quit using. My daughter, also with a gluten allergy, told me she felt now they had better options and had a coupon code for me to try again. So, I went online to look at the options, however, I had to enter my information, including the coupon code, before I could proceed to search options. When I didn't see anything different and decided not to pursue again, I clicked out of the website NOT making an order or authorizing payment. Days later, when checking my bank account, I see that I was charged $59.92 for an order I DID NOT place; no food was picked for shipping! I called and explained exactly what happened, and was told the order (food) was being delivered to me 3 days later and they WOULD NOT credit back my account or stop shipment. They said when I entered the coupon code, which I had to do to be able to LOOK at the food options, it re-activated my account and began shipment again, even though I DID NOT CHOOSE FOODS I CAN EAT! So, they are choosing for me and sending me food I probably can't even eat, nor will I eat at this point. I don't trust eating anything from a company with such sneaky business practices! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE A SCAM!!!

Just leave your fingers away! I was recruited and wanted to try it out for a week. So I chose the delivery for a week and stopped the delivery for the following period. After three weeks I was charged 39.90 euros for a new delivery and when I called the customer service immediately they said I had reactivated the delivery. However, this was definitely not the case. I have complained several times by email and also by phone. Every time I received information that I was responsible and that I could have canceled the delivery in good time. But I hadn't ordered anything! I was not helped, I was rubbed off and the money was not returned. I couldn't use the products at all because I wasn't even at home this week. As long as you are not yet a customer, the customer service is good, as soon as there is a problem, you get rid of and have to pay. In my opinion, this is punishable by law, but filing a complaint of 39.90 will not be done. This is obviously expected. Very pity and very annoying the whole thing. i made it 2 weeks with this company, 2 meals per week for 4 people. the southwest shrimp taco meal came with NO shrimp and no recipe card. i contacted the company - after 10 min of wasting my time they offered me a $10 credit for the meal kit that i paid $45 for. I asked them how $10 was supposed to compensate me for a whole meal for four people. the agent said "so we compensate you for what's missing the shrimp is worth $10". I said but the entire meal is wasted what are you talking about what am I supposed to do make onion and tomato tacos for dinner? after another 10 minutes of wasting more of my time the representative agreed to credit me $23, so now we're up to about half of the price of the meal. I told her it was new to their service and it is entirely too hard to be fairly compensated for their mistakes so she could go ahead and cancel my entire membership. I've heard a lot of people complain about missing things or past fresh items with this company. I gave it a chance anyway, disappointing and expensive.

My only criticism of the whole thing is simply the price. We only order the Classic Box for 39.99 (3 dishes, 2 people). It's just too much. That would be perfectly fine for half. If I thought about what I could buy for the money in the supermarket, I would manage twice as long. Unfortunately, I can not rate the products because the delivery has never arrived. What I can rate is the unbelievably bad customer service and how this case was handled. I had ordered for a Saturday, delivery came via DPD. I agreed a storage location and got the confirmation that was filed. Only where I came around an hour later was nothing! On Mails was responded only after 4 days, I did not get by phone. At my request to get a new shipment or get the money back would not respond. And bye I would say ....
I am very satisfied with HelloFresh. I order there once or twice a month and the dishes are very varied and easy to cook with the description. Selecting, pausing and so on is also very straightforward via the portal. There is a deduction in the rating because sometimes little things are missing in the recipe boxes. That doesn't usually break the dishes, but it's still annoying. There is a plus point for the packaging and the cooling pads, the water of which you can simply pour into the flowers.
I've been an enthusiastic customer for a year. Since Corona is lacking advice, no reimbursement of amounts helps either. Today's crowning glory ... complete box is missing. Delivery service did not receive it. More customers to get even more money at the expense of regular customers ..... sad
Beware of HelloFrech, asks customers for advertising, promises high premiums and does not pay, on the contrary you buy a box with your premium credit, HelloFrech deletes the credit and you have to pay for this box or is simply debited from your account!

Outrageous!! I was sent 2 boxes instead of 1 and I should pay for both !!!! Whereby I turned to them several times and wanted to cancel / have them picked up. What should I do with so much unnecessary food for one person? Nothing to do, totally inflexible ... now I have a huge bill, as a student really ugly and anti-social from HELLO FRESH
The basic idea is not bad, but ultimately not convincingly implemented. You have to choose the dishes one week before. I had forgotten that for a week and only a few hours later informed the customer service, so that they still adjust the contents of the box - but nothing there. Instead of a problem solution you get a standard text. Although there is still a week left until delivery, a change is allegedly not possible. The system is extremely inflexible and I get next week food that I do not eat and may also pay just under 60, - for it. That was my last order at Hellofresh.
Fresh food, great recipes, the price is reasonable & you buy in the supermarket no more junk I can only recommend it - delivery is always on time on Saturday morning :) we have 23 weeks already brought boxes and will continue to use Payment by Paypal works fine ... I do not really know why some here have problems with payment or delivery - probably we are just lucky people;)
I can only say, finger away if you ever received a sample box, because you automatically receive a weekly delivery. I don't want to have anything to do with such machinations. One star is for the food, because that was good.
Unbelievable what this company can do. Vouchers cannot be redeemed without giving your account details. It's not just outrageous but rather data theft. Cheek. Especially since these people charge you another euro. Report the whole thing to the consumer advice center.
1. Downloaded the app in the store 2. Registered and tried to subscribe. Not possible -> somehow I've got US version of the app on the phone 3. Went on the website and tried there. There it worked, but first possible delivery was in 2 weeks, which reduced my excitement to try the service (I get it though, so this is purely personal thing :))
The biggest issues is that there is no option to delete your account. That is not acceptable. Also finding customer service contact on the website seems to be a fools mission. So I've decided to not try the service out. Who would use a service where customer service is hiding from the customers?
Thanks to HelloFresh, I have found my passion for cooking again. As a mother of two, eating always has to be quick. But rather something fresh and healthy that fills you up is healthy and tastes great, and thanks to HelloFresh, it's super quick to prepare. And it comes home delivered simply the best service you can have. Thanks for that .
Today we received our first family box and we were looking forward to it, but unfortunately the promised quality is not right.
The received package was not damaged externally, but for the content. The products are only partially regional and mostly packaged in plastic. I also get these products and quality in the discount store, but cheaper.
The idea of HelloFresh I think is great but the implementation is not in my opinion. Therefore, we will not order anymore.
Unfortunately, the food at our place partly broken. It is packed in plastic and the customer service understands very badly and does not help. You get tomatoes from Spain, although you can buy everywhere from Germany. Where the meat comes from is not comprehensible and could not be explained to us by phone. We chose HelloFresh for these reasons. It's a pity, because it all looked promising.
These lines are not enough to show the public what went wrong here. From our "coupon", which was certainly meant as a nice gesture, we definitely had NOTHING, except annoyance. Nerves and time were wasted mindlessly. As long as the customer pays properly and keeps his muzzle, one is in demand. But woe there is a problem even caused by sloppiness by the company. Yes, then you recognize the true character of a company. Customer service equal to zero. Absolutely underground and not with us anymore !!! I cancelled my subscription awaiting the delivery of the first box to see what it was like and they cancelled my first order I paid for and refunded me. Now they won t honour my original order despite the website saying that the original order wouldn t be cancelled if I cancelled the subscription. There was no email to say they had cancelled my order, so we were waiting all day for the delivery and instead have to go grocery shopping instead during dinner time. They also refused to issue another voucher to use for a subsequent order. Based on their customer service alone (or lack thereof) I would never recommend them
I would like to give zero stars, but unfortunately not. Several accounts were created via an e-mail address without my knowledge. Delivery was thus twice, although not so desired (same food 2x). The subsequent delivery was canceled, even e-mailed confirmed by an employee personally and yet was further delivered. Worse than any Jamba savings subscription. Just keep your fingers away. Pure rip-off!
At first it was great at least the first 2-3 wks. We would get out delivery early etc. Then little by little it would not come till late. Twice our delivery went to another house & we had to go driving around to search for it. It was just a horrible delivery experience. I know we all make mistakes & mishaps will happen. But it kept happening. The food is 5stars but everything else was disappointing. Our last try our food never even came in the day it stated it would. Called customer service & she stated it will be there tomorrow. NEVER came. We called again & states it would be there Monday & she even offered a follow call to make sure we got it. It still never came or did we get a call. So we canceled. I hope the company reads these reviews because as a customer or a potential customer this is not how business should be runne
