The food is good, the ideas and versatility too, the concept is not bad, but while in advertising everything goes unpacked in the box, you can hardly save yourself from plastic packaging !!! Every smallest thing is packed individually in plastic foil! And after subscribing for 4, HelloFresh but portioning everything for 2, we get all the plastic double, e.g. 2 small 250ml milk tetra packs including straws for 1 sauce. And the quantities are too big, there is always enough left for a 5th person. For reasons of sustainability, we canceled our subscription after 2 weeks.

I find delicious new recipes that are fun to cook, with fresh herbs and great spices. What bothers me very much, is that the specified preparation times are not nearly true - you need a lot more time than stated, in the meat dishes much longer than stated, with me is even more than twice! Preparation time occurred. The extent of the menus, which often consist of several, each prepared in different ways parts, it is clear even when reading through the recipes that the specified cooking time is not correct and is too short of calculated, even for savvy chefs.
I have already ordered a few dozen cooking boxes. The advantages are apparent: - You don't have to worry about what to cook anymore - you can try new dishes quickly and easily - you don't (actually) have to go shopping anymore. - You process all foods, as these are always delivered in precise portions. -... However, the following must be said ... In the end it got very monotonous after a while (HelloFresh has now apparently tackled this, but it could also be because I paused the deliveries for a few months ...) The missing stars and the pausing of my boxes (then as now, after I ordered another box) can be justified as follows: - 80% of the herbs are no longer usable upon delivery, so I always had to buy them new - the packaging of the cream / yoghurt / sour cream etc. is ALWAYS burst open. So that some foods are softened and no longer usable. Say also here must be bought. HelloFresh has now apparently recognized this problem and is packing the cream with other foods in plastic bags. Good is ... you don't have to replace the food except for the food in the opened packaging. Nevertheless: the packaging has burst. That didn't happen in the first few months and from a certain point on with every delivery. - there are often missing ingredients. This is always extremely annoying, especially if you don't check directly whether everything is there and only notice it when you're cooking. Even if the customer service has always been very accommodating, the question is whether you would like to buy a very expensive cooking box if items are damaged and no longer usable, which means that you don't have to go to the supermarket (and, strictly speaking, a box becomes even more expensive). I keep looking at the menus and if there is something really great I order a box every now and then. I don't think this will become a habit again, though. What a shame HelloFresh
Got a sample box. I prepared it within a week, the dishes themselves were not bad, but sometimes a joke for 3 people. Then I put it on pause because it was not possible to unsubscribe. Then I did the calculations at home and bought the ingredients so that it was much cheaper, so I wanted to unsubscribe, it didn't work. Pause after weeks, of course you forget that the pause ends at some point, this was the case for me. How about if you send people an automatic e-mail reminding them to go on instead of putting together any dishes that are expensive to send and in the end this is not consumed for various reasons?!. I now have a box of just under 60, of which I only eat 20%. Then the majo was broken in one of the bags when it was delivered. The groceries themselves are in order, information about the place of delivery does not work at all! Price is of course very high, there are also various things related to it, jobs, processing, compilation, etc. Performance is fine, customer service tries the best possible. Nevertheless, I am dissatisfied, as I have an expensive box here, as I said, and will not eat it. Too bad about the money. And donating is difficult, anyway
I've been an enthusiastic customer for a year. Since Corona is lacking advice, no reimbursement of amounts helps either. Today's crowning glory ... complete box is missing. Delivery service did not receive it. More customers to get even more money at the expense of regular customers ..... sad
Dishes are delicious, unfortunately no service in corona times, no delivery received, no one can be reached by phone or chat .... too bad we don't match
Edit: Does not deliver! Or. Sends an email 1 hour before the delivery date that you are overloaded and that delivery will not take place for a week. This decision is final and one should not believe any contrary information in the app. In this way, the customer's trust in the app is undermined. Although they are apparently completely overworked, they still want to entice every new customer with discount promises to attract more new customers. Better take a look that you can seriously supply the existing customer base!
The food is delicious and varied. It helps us a lot in everyday life! One major criticism, however, is that herbs often come from Africa. Herbs such as basil and parsley, which can grow on every window sill in Germany! For me that has nothing to do with local and sustainable. Even with delivery bottlenecks in Germany, there must be suppliers closer to us than those in Africa! A complaint a few months ago has so far not changed the fact that I find herbs from Africa in almost every box ... What a shame. I hope this will change very soon.
Good food, sometimes something is missing. Customer service incapable!
I think the quality (except very few exceptions very good), the delivery is always on time and the recipes are very delicious. I think it's a shame that only 5 are offered for selection in 4 dishes. Because there are always things that you do not like to eat. But one thing is really bad at Hellofresh: And that's the customer service. An incompetence I have never experienced before. And every time you have to write in this silly chat. Each chat request so far ran to exactly NO result or NO answer. So as long as everything goes well, I find Hello Fresh really good. The deductions are clearly for the customer care through the incompetent chat.
Great selection of vegetarian dishes, mostly fresh vegetables. Unfortunately, the herbs often wither quickly and sometimes mold has been present. I would like more focus on vegan alternatives and an option to deselect or substitute certain ingredients. For example, I do not eat mushrooms ... so many dishes fall out right away. All in all a great opportunity to try new dishes and to cook, if you do not already do this regularly. In the long run it is unfortunately too expensive for me as a student and I still have to go shopping, e.g. Bread, eggs, etc ...
