They sent the 1st bill to the house 3 years after the procedure for my Dad (who died two months after the imaging test). I explained they filed incorrectly, (he'd never had the insurance they stated) that he died 3 years ago and they put a collection on his account knowing he was deceased. That should tell you something about their front or back office. There are plenty of alternatives, luckily.

The worst and most terrible place ever exists. Trying to steal money from you as much as possible. They're so desperate to get money. I self paid all bills at the time I checked out and later they contacted me and told I still own them bills for a 'separate' service. Denied to pay and was send to the collection agency. Never wished bad thing happen to anyone but sure this place deserves the worst for ripping off money from patients to feed their pockets.

If I could give them negative stars I would. Apparently this is where my MRI scans were sent back in December 2018. Instead of looking at my new last name, new address, and new insurance policy that was sent over with the scans, some genius decided to go with information from a scan two years prior. Now I have a $275 bill that apparently has gone to collections because they couldn t get insurance to pay for it because they never sent it to the correct insurance company. After two long phone calls trying to correct this because my deductible was met long before the scan and I shouldn t owe a dime, I was told that they couldn t update my information back in December unless I called. This is absurd because I never even knew what company was reading the scans. The only two parties that ever were in communication with me were my doctor and the imaging place. And who decides to go with information from two years ago?! The only thing the same was my name and date of birth. It would have made more sense if they had just made me a whole new person. They seriously need to get their billing department figured out. This is ridiculous and a waste of my time.

Like others I never received a bill but it showed up on my credit. Have been trying to call all morning to pay the $40.00 . They keep transferring me from one computer to another. The people that actually answer seem like they cant wait to transfer you to the next available robot. They said the wait time to speak with someone is 49 minutes. Unbelievable. Horrible system, communication, and customer service.

Changed from 1 start to 4 because they resolved my issue once I left this review. Still not 5 stars because I still feel the system is flawed and very confusing but overall the issue was resolved and removed from my credit score so I am happy now.

Good luck even getting in touch with the billing department. Zotech or something manages their billing and they don t answer the phone. You WILL have a headache. They sent me to collections, I showed them a charity letter I revived from the hospital stating I was found to be under income. The hospital said to show this letter to all bills related to the incident and I would probably be forgiven. I emailed the letter out and all bills were forgiven except this one. They sent me to bill collectors, who insisted I send them the physical letter. I did. They then said that was for the hospital and they wouldn t honor it so I needed to ask Radiology clinic for their own charity program. Okay. But the clinic can t help with that so they send you to Zotech billing, who don t answer calls. Greedy company s . Makes it as difficult as possible to get help.they are currently putting negative marks on my credit and doing nothing to try and resolve this.

After I called the number, I finally received a paper bill, but from Indiana. Ridiculously unprofessional. I ll be complaining to the hospital where I had my test done.

Never received billing until collection agency sent bill. Called to find out what it was and Radiology Associates of North Texas said they had coded their bill wrong. Their bill for shot is higher than total MRI cost. How can that be? Sent to review but they offer no explanation. Ridiculous.

I have never felt so disregarded or dealt with such an unprofessional business. I had an appointment via telehealth and was told that they needed to double check with my insurance to decide which hospital to do my procedure at. After ONE MONTH of 5 unanswered phone calls, 2 detailed voicemails, and a very angry email, I FINALLY got a call back that did not even acknowledge the fact that no one could even muster the decency to return a phone call or email. I have been in pain that could be resolved with a procedure, but no one bothered to communicate or return any of my calls or email. I am never one to complain, and as I work in health care I have a lot of grace for medical offices, but I will never return to this practice or refer anyone to them.

I will be reporting this company to BBB. I never recieved a bill from this company and instead got $43.00 bill placed in collections that was reported to the credit bureau. I will be hiring a lawyer to fight the incompetence from this company.

I had an MRI in December 2018. I was presented with one bill, which it turns out was for the MRI technician and did NOT include the MRI "reader". I paid the one bill that I was presented and thought this was all taken care of.

However, in August 2019, I received a strange text message asking me to visit a link and pay money. It looked exactly like many of the scam messages that come once in a while, and of course you cannot reply to ask for more info, so I ignored this, confident I had paid all my bills. Note: Nothing had even been sent in the mail about this matter.

After the fourth such scam text message, I started investigating, using incognito Browser sessions and found that they had the dates right and my name right. I searched all my bank records and could not find a payment in the amount they were claiming, so I called the MRI lab (not Radiology Associates) and they explained this 'surprise' bill.

It would be nice if Radiology Assoc. would provide more information on my bill....for example: what was the service actually, or the location, etc.
It would also be nice if they would present a bill at the time of the appointment instead of 9 months later.

Billing so far after the fact tends to make the claim sound unreliable.
Also, using text messages to ask for payment, without any explanation of what it is for is very suspicious. Their email looks a lot like the scam messages. I had to do all my own research to determine if it was valid, because their communications were extremely vague, not very informative and looked suspicious.

Illegal billing practices. Alleged debt placed for collections, original bill never received, no phone calls. This unprofessional business has already placed my less-than-six-month-old account with collections, and today's call from the collection agency was the first time I was made aware of alleged debt. They are blatantly breaking the law by placing with collections before even once contacting me by mail or phone. I hereby legally claim no responsibility for this debt, as it has been illegally placed for collections by unethical business.

Update to my review - I am increasing the review for a few reasons
1. At the end of the day the quality of service rendered by Radiology Associates of North Texas was great - they sent over the Radiologist's dictation quickly and it was late in the day on a Friday.
2. The billing issue is really an advertising issue and an opportunity for the facility providing the Xrays and other radiology services to give full disclosure regarding the billing. The facility knows that it's standard operating procedure to have a radiologist read the xray or doppler or CT and they know the billing is direct bill - the facility should include that informaiton when paying the bill and let a person know that more fees will be applied to the visit. That would help manage the patients expectations when it comes to their financial responsibilities.
3. The billing provider responded to my post and got with me quickly - they were friendly and explained everything very well even though I was completely in the wrong when accusing them of unethical behavior.
I believe that when a person is wrong - they need to own it - in this case I was wrong. I stand corrected. I appreciate the Ladonna at Zotec Partners having a conversation with me and getting the facts squared away.
Please note that my original review below is not correct but I left it in place for all the other folks to consider when posting reviews about billing issues. I think this is an opportunity for facilities to improve communications with patients and provide them with all the information possible at the time service is rendered.
Double billing is against the law. I paid for my services in full on the date service was rendered. Got additional bills in the mail. This has happened on more than one occasion. That is illegal and unethical.

If I could give less than one star I would. All issues relating to ethical billing and reporting practices have been tossed out the window with this company. Takes an act of congress to actually talk to a person over the phone. Was billed twice for the same item that was an ineligible charge. Statement of benefits from my insurance list total due to provider as $0.00. Called both times I received a bill to tell them that no i do not in fact owe anything if there is an issue to call my insurance company. Instead they reported me to a collection agency over $75.00. Got my insurance company involved. They told my insurance company they would take 35-45 business days to review... Why does it take that long?
Would be nice if these people would just pick up a phone and speak to their customers. Will see how they handle the review of my account and possible written appeal to my insurance company. Shouldn't have to go through this hassle after going through medical/health issues.

I just received info on my credit report that there are bills in collections from 2014. When I called their billing office, I discovered that they attempted to bill my insurance company at an incorrect ID number, so my claim was denied. I've never received any communications regarding the billing. My insurance company covers the service completely. Now I'm probably stuck with a $550 bill.

*EDIT* I received a phone call from the billing company vice president and this issue was successfully corrected. While it was frustrating to deal with initially, I'm happy that at least these public reports are being taken seriously. I will change my score to 4 stars, since I didn't have an issue at all with the service and imaging, just the billing, which is now fixed. I'd still recommend double checking with them that the service was paid in full just to avoid problems, but I now feel I can come back there again and I won't warn my doctor to change the service to another place.

Thanks for all the helpful reviews everyone. My good friend just received two collections from Radiology Associates of North Texas on his credit report. The amounts are for $38 and $34, and are from over five years ago. I doubt you can buy a pack of gum at this place for those small amounts. Either way he had insurance at that time, and was never received a bill from these people. I will make a point to never use this company, and will make sure everyone in my network knows about this experience as well.

I m not sure if anyone else has had an experience like this, but I figured I d post it on here since no one seems to be happy with the billing or service here. I ve received several calls from a guy named Mike claiming that I applied for jobs through their company, or that they found my resume on a job site I don t even use, and they wanna interview me. It s for jobs I m not even qualified/certified for- radiology technician and HR. He s called me several times and if I don t call him back, he ll leave me 1 or 2 more messages saying I HAVE to call him back and let him know my interest. I blocked the first number because he had called me about 3 times in a span of a couple of days. Then just this morning he called me again from a different phone number. I wasn t even living in Texas at the time when he called the first time, as I was living out of state temporarily. It s all just very weird to me seeing as how I ve never even heard of this company, and how I would never apply for those jobs listed above because I haven t been to college or had experience for either. Just be cautious.

The collection agency said the dispute amount is for reading the MRI that was entirely conducted by the North Star Diagnostic Imaging, Allen. First, is it possible to give a zero star rating. Had billing problems and got a run around. I paid the bill on-line, they processed it and received payment the following day. I get a new bill 3 weeks later -- with a FINAL NOTICE. I call and it takes an hour to talk someone (I had them call me back rather than wait in-line on my phone). They claim they have no record and I must prove payment. I press the issue and they say it will take 3-4 weeks for them to "look into it". I am extremely disappointed with this company. I was surprised to receive a call from a collection agency stating that I had a balance. When I called Radiology Associates of North Texas, the agent said that they had attempted to contact me several times. Thirty seconds of conversation revealed that they had both a wrong phone and address attached to my account. The agent said that due to their mistake, the bill would be recalled from the collection agency within 3 business days, and that I could pay the balance through their automated system, which I did.

Now, 6 weeks later, there is a collection on my credit report. When I got in touch with a supervisor she apologized and said that I was given inaccurate information, and the agent's mistake was a "coaching opportunity"... Really? She then suggested that I pay the collection agency. After some heated discussion, she offered to resubmit the request for recall from the collection agency. This company should sack their entire billing management team and start from the ground up. I'm disgusted, and Radiology Associates should be ashamed of their lack of organization.

Update: I reported my issue to BBB and I got refunded all the money I paid. My insurance refused to cover the bill because they didn t file on time as required by contract.

I had an MRI and I received a bill from this company about a month later. I signed up for monthly payments and received another bill 2 months later for an MRI from another company and was confused. I had thought the radiology bill was also my MRI bill but they were separate. I called the radiology to ask them about it and they said the Insurance didn't pay for it. When I looked at my Insurance site, I didn't see any claim that was in process for Radiology but saw one for MRI; turns out this company never sent my bill to the Insurance! and more than likely I've overpaid. I was told to go ahead and cancel my recurring payments while they process the bill to the Insurance but go figure the payment site is down. After reading all these negative reviews I better NOT have anything reported to my credit after cancelling my recurring payments (when the site finally works) while waiting on Insurance to process the claim.

Suddenly surprised by 3 small charges under $40 from a few years ago, showing up as Collections on my credit report. Didn't have any old unpaid bills from them, and they never contacted me via mail or phone. So, after researching, I got in touch with Ladonna/Zotec Partners(they do their billing now). She stated if I paid it, she can get it off of my credit quickly, which she did.
Before I paid it, I searched thru my old checkbook, and didn't see where I had paid that amount total or 3 small, so maybe it was valid....I've just been rebuilding my credit and 3 collections knocked it down, I wanted it gone.
She did mention I had one other one they billed wrong as well a few years ago, but they weren't going to hit my credit because they had sent to the wrong insurance. That is probably what happened with these charges, but they NEVER let me know, and never asked to verify...
They were able to send me the itemized bill in the mail where I was charged(they break up the charges so it hits credit worse with multiple collections instead of just 1). I paid it as soon as I had that, but I still don't think they should have just let it go to collections without even 1 bill over the past few years.

Terrible reviews for Radiology. In spite of my sending letters disputing this account to the address on the invoice I received, there has been no response from Radiology. Radiology was also provided my updated address. Radiology referred this account to collections in spite of my letters requesting any and all documentation with regard to said invoice be provided to me and my advising that I disputed the account in full. Collection agency was not provided correct address. Would be interested to know how other individuals have handled this situation with Radiology.

Surprise billed me and put 13 collections on my credit report. They purposefully position themselves to make sure they aren't covered by insurances when doing radiology. If you have medicaid they use one who doesn't take it or at least claim they didn't. How these people haven't been sued or investigated is beyond me.

Followed up after contacting them a month ago - this was after learning through our credit report that we were sent to collection. Upon speaking with a woman, we learned it was never billed. It was sent to insurance to be kicked back on them because it is now past the limits of payment by insurance. I saw last night it is back on our credit report. Checked my credit score before looking into buying a home and noticed I had derogatory mark from this company. It showed I owed them $31.00 from a visit over a year ago. I never received this bill nor got any phone calls about it going to collections. My case at the time was being handled by Workmens Comp so if they billed it correctly it would have been handled in a timely manner. If you go here just make sure they bill you correctly or it will show up on your credit report!!

UPDATE: just got off the phone with Ladonna in accounting she was able to help resolve this issues. She was very quick to handle the claim and it got resolved in a timely manner. I appreciate the help!

2. I never received the text messages you claimed to have sent. And I never received the text message you sent while I was on the line with you.

3. When you mail a bill, ensure that bill has the same information you sent to my insurance, so I can validate it against an insurance statement.

But, based on my call, you don't care about any of the above.

Four years ago, and they are posting this bogus charge now which strongly impacted my credit score. All my bills were paid. This is obviously purposeful dishonest billing from reading the other reviews. Now I have to go through the trouble of clearing my report and reporting them to the BBB.

I have Medicare and this company didn't even bother to bill them. I found out by looking at my credit report. The facility I went to is in network and has been paid. I do not understand why its so difficult for this place to also bill my insurance. Billing department hung up on me when she claimed she was transferring me to a manager.

This is another billing issue. My procedure was performed at Harris Methodist where a radiologist from this group performed a needle biopsy. I am a self pay patient, so when I called to follow up on getting a self pay discount, the billing department told me that I was offered a 50% discount on payment at the point of service. The problem is that at no point was I informed of this during my visit. All scheduling was done by the hospital and they were only concerned that I pay Harris Methodist. Everyone along the way said I would receive my bill separately from the radiologist.

After 45 min on hold, the billing department told me repeatedly that there was no supervisor to speak with. After I made several attempts to figure out how to apply the appropriate discount, the rep said she would transfer me to a manager. At which she disconnected the line.

I am hoping that I can provide a positive update to this post if they will get back to me.

We did not realize that Cook Children's was outsou...

We did not realize that Cook Children's was outsourcing its MRI radiology service to RANT. So when we received a separate bill from them, we were confused. It was not helped by the fact that RANT refused to speak to me about the bill, since the patient was 18. He had signed paperwork at Cook giving us parents the right to question and pay the bills, so if the contract we signed with Cook allowed RANT to bill us, why not tell us what the bill was for? Thus began an 18 month saga of billing incompetence, dishonesty, extortion, and finally only admitting wrongdoing after we involved the BBB. They incorrectly billed one of the MRI reports, so one was paid by BCBS and one wasn't. Rather than investigate, they just billed us the whole amount. I had to speak to BCBS then request that RANT resubmit. We continued to get a bill from them though, for a lesser amount but still more than our portion should have been. They could offer no reasonable explanation. Then they turned my son over to collections. We were forced to pay the bill in order to try to rescue his credit, but then involved the BBB. Only then would RANT investigate and admit that they had had a dispute with BCBS and were no longer in network. So they were billing us the out of network cost, even though the procedure had been done while in network (and the other report was covered at 80%). Their prolonged billing incompetence had dragged us into their BCBS dispute and they would not adjust our bill according to when the procedure was done. After BBB involvement they promised to refund our payment and recall from collections, however we have received no written confirmation of these things.

This is shoddy business practice. I do not think Cook Children's should use a service without fully disclosing to patients when procedures are scheduled that they will have to deal with outside billing and providers who are not Cook employees. They certainly should not use a service that treats patients and families in this manner. I hope everyone having a procedure at a major medical facility will ask in advance if any of the service will be contracted out, and to whom. Research that provider as well, with online reviews and the BBB. Radiology Associates of North Texas does not meet the standards of Cook Children's and should not be associated with them. We have no way of knowing if my son's MRIs were even read, or if they were done correctly. We can have no confidence in this organization, which reflects badly on Cook as well.

Be prepared to pay $$$ to everyone!! Even with insurance, you pay a "deposit" when you go in for anything. Then you will owe more on that and that bill comes from THE HOSPITAL!! For over a year I have been trying to get a bill paid with this place. Initially they billed the wrong insurance company and sent it to collections. I didn't know about it until my bank informed me. I never received a bill or any information about it. As soon as I found out I spoke to them and we talked about billing the right insurance, and if I had anything left to pay they were to mail it to the correct address I gave. The billing is awful!! I have fought with them about filing my insurance claim, which they agreed to do, yet my insurance company NEVER showed a claim from them. This practice has now filed this on my credit report. I would tell any potential patients to stay away from this practice.

I m extremely disappointed with this company and I see that I am not alone.

I relocated from Addison, TX to New Orleans in May 2019. I was sent a bill for $170 and the mail was returned twice and no one called me. No one.
Now I have a collection account on my credit report and I am absolutely livid about this. I pay all my medical bills. Always.
So I called Radiology and spoke with 4 people. All of them said that my file was going to be pulled from the credit report as if it was never reported. That was several weeks ago and the item is still on my credit, and no one has called me back from this company.

This is not the end of my complaint and I am absolutely offended that I am being treated this way. I work very hard to keep my credit report on good shape and for this company to blatantly do this without even attempting to contact me is one of the worst examples of billing practice that I have ever seen.

If this business model and ethics are working for you I would be very surprised.

I called to pay my bill happily, I was placed on hold for 15mins and I had to hang up. They sent me to collections. At least have a number and call me back. Then I tried to pay over the phone and they wouldn t take a payment they said to mail in. Why wouldn t you want the money then? Worst customer service and they don t care about their patients.

I don t know who runs their billing department but they are NOT doing their job at all. A couple of months back I got a notification that I had 3 bills in collections from here, I was confused because I both never received any bills from them and all of the times I had gone to them I had Medicaid and was fully covered. This made my credit tank so I called and found out that they forgot to even bill my insurance! So thankfully they fixed that but now months later my credit has tanked again and I find out I have 8 new bills from here in collections again! I have again never once received a bill from them and I know it s because they didn t bill my insurance again. I never have this issue with any other part of the hospital/doctors office, it s always radiology. Now I have to take time out of my day to fix their mistake and I don t even really have time for that because I am busy taking care of my newborn. Who ever handles billing and insurance for this company needs to be fired because they aren t doing their job and they aren t even bothering to bill insurance or send out bills to people at all. They just want to add everything to collections.

I will never use or recommend a company that not only has awful customer service but also a company that sends accounts straight to collections after only 2 months of not receiving payment. The ONLY statement I had ANY knowledge of was sent through a text message, my husband immediately called and requested a paper copy, like I should have received from the beginning! Once I received a REAL statement I immediately sent in a payment. At this point it had already been sent to the collection agency. The woman I spoke with this morning was completely unsympathetic and had no way of helping an actual paying patient. All she could do was pass on a few notes to the debt collector stating that my address was listed wrong on our account. That is it! I felt very unheard, I was just another person calling and she didn t have time to hear me out. She also made it clear that even if the bill was paid at this point she couldn t guarantee it wouldn t still show on my credit. After reading several reviews, I can clearly see that this is how this company works. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Shady, shady, shady! Playing around with people's credit is unforgivable.

You admitted to me 6 months after my procedure that my claim had never been submitted to my insurance. You assured me it would be and that you would notify your Collections company to pull back the debt. Only one of those things happened. And now, even though my insurance has paid, and I NEVER received a bill for the balance of $96, the FULL amount for $720 is showing as a Collections claim on my credit history. I have called and tried to fix this, but you just want to talk in circles.

This is the ONLY detrimental item on my report and it dropped my score by 121 points. Do you realize the damage you do when you don't do YOUR job?

I met an accident last October 2017 and shortly after I received a bill of $500 from Radiology Associates of North Texas. I called them on December 2017 and I was told I only owe a total of $500 . So I gave my claim number, told them to forward ALL the bills to the medical insurance responsible for paying it. I also told them to mail a copy of all the bills that I have to pay. The insurance and I only received a bill of $500. My case was close on March 2018. The $500 was paid by the insurance. Then I received a bill of $215 from Radiology Associates of North Texas on June 2018 that I've never seen before. I called and said they have my claim number on file. The insurance denied it because my case was already close on March and I have to pay the $215 because they did not do their job. I received the bill of $215 8 months after the accident. With a gap of 7 months from the first bill. On top of that, the person on the phone told me I only owe $500.

I had to pay for their carelessness and for not doing their job.

I had an issue with my insurance company, UHC, not paying something when I had coverage that they should have paid. Instead they pushed it back to the billing company, Zotec Partners. While my insurance company was arrogant in their response and it was their fault, Zotec took ownership of fixing the issue/problem that my insurance company created. The VP there was kind, helpful, and responsive to solving this issue. Because they went through that trouble to do that, I will continue using Radiology Associates, and will only use other medical services going forward that have Zotec as their partner. Extremely impressed!

Each time we called, they insisted we did not have a balance. A month later we received a notice that our account had been turned over to a collections agency. We were shocked. Our policy covers one preventative mammogram per

I have 3 separate charges from this company. One in the amount of $213, $168, and a final one in the amount of $345 all charged apparently on March 29, 2018. I have absolutely no recollection on how or why I would have any charges as I've never so much as set foot in their company building. I wasn't sent any letters, informed via phone call. It's a good thing I checked my credit score otherwise I would never have known. I really would like for someone to speak with me about this but I'm just transferred from person to person.

Zero stars if that was an option. In a nutshell: they did not perform services as ordered by my primary care physician. Then billed for those services that they did not perform. They turned the invoice over to a collection agency when I disputed the charges as an intimidation tactic. It is impossible to talk to a human in the office about my complaint.. I'm worn out by the battle. Moving on and paying for services I did not receive.

TWO collection notices showed up on Credit Report last week, under $50 each, FROM FOUR YEARS AGO! Called office, billing is not handled in the office but by a third party. Shady practices, indeed. Customer service person was nice enough. Said there was actually no address on file so no invoices were ever sent. Escalated to supervisor to have collection removed from Credit Report. We'll see if this works but this is terrible billing practices to say the least.

The woman I spoke with had removed my negative credit information and sent me a copy of the bill showing a zero balance. She was extremely apologetic and asked that I edit my review. This ended up being the best case scenario and therefore the rating has been moved from 1 to 4 stars. Thank you Ladonna for reaching out and handling this quickly, appropriately and professionally.

Had to bill that went to collections from four years ago for 70$. Should have never happened, insurance should have taken care of it to begin with. This only bad mark on my credit, and I m not responsible. I am extrememely dissatisfied, and this issue is still unresolved. I would not recommend you use them for anything. Horrible customer service.
