After a bad experience at the dealership, the service manager called me directly numerous times to get in touch. He apologized for the service I was given and insisted I come in so he could take a look at my vehicle. When he did his inspection, he agreed he needed to rectify the situation. Brandon, the service manager, was very nice and considerate. He proceeded to go ahead and order the part and replace it himself on my vehicle. This was great customer service and I really appreciated it. This should not have happened in the first place, but let me tell you, Brandon was great and ensured this was resolved and wouldn't happen again to anyone else.

So, I purchased a BRAND NEW corvette from this dealership. Salesman was great, very professional. Management.....no words. I have called several times about my issue and no one seems to care. So here is the story.....1100 miles=catastrophic failure, complete rear end replaced. Findings, line not connected at factory....No fluid in rear end....WHAT?? I can only imagine what might have happened to me or my family if this caused an accident.

Offered money to buy damn accessories for my brand new corvette to make me happy... SMDH! Come on GM, gotta do better than this.

Gets one star because the sales guy worked very hard. Ended as a very disappointing visit. My daughter and and were there for 3 hours. We completely close the deal finishing up with the sales guy, got the keys,programmed my phone to the vehicle. At that point the senior financial advisor who finishes the paperwork, takes my father to the back. Dishonors the contract agreed on, leaves him sitting there for 30 additional minutes. And then instead of being honest that he didn't want to follow the deal that was already placed,he decided to create a story to make me feel like the deal decided was not the correct decision. Im beyond upset about the unprofessional, unorganized business i was dealt here. I definitely would not recommend anyone wasting there time. Completely dissatisfied very upset customers. It should be some type ramifications for behavior as such. They say you get the best with Jim Ellis we must have had the wrong place, and my referrals will be sent elsewhere.

This location NEEDS to have organized scheduling and better customer service. It is not ok to overbook customers with appointments. Also some need to realize and understanding how valuable time is. I had an appointment just for a DIAGNOSTIC and was told my vehicle may or may not be looked at that day and I need to leave my car possibly up to a few days and no courtesy vehicle could be given on my 2018 SUV because they are swamped and don't know when they can get to my vehicle...and no empathy for the inconvenience. Not acceptable for just a diagnostic. Also, this is not the first time this has happened but definitely my last time coming to this location. I took my vehicle to another Chevrolet dealer and was seen the same day and was in in out in less than 2 hours.

Worst experience even for a regular customer. I felt like i am living in a third world nation even after talking to the manager.
1. I scheduled for a service a week ago and when i walked in with my car, they don't have my appointment in the system even though i have the email from them saying otherwise.
2. They asked me to drop my car for the day for a simple service that doesn't even take 30 minutes for a mechanic
3. The manager(mark kristen) in the high 40s or 50s acted as a racist white guy treating me with disrespect.

Never going back to JIM ELLIS again, Worst service , Worst people who are racists. Better travel some miles and go to a place where they don't treat customers with disrespect

I bought a used gmc truck and while nick was nice , responsive, and easy to work with my experience was not great. they mailed the title to the wrong address, (causing me to spend several hours on the phone to get it corrected with the state) they lost the nice weathertech style floor mats of the truck (3 out of the 4 pieces) and replaced them with the cheapest rubber ones they could find on the lot. also they never reimbursed me my emissions test as promised. ( and to sum it all up the air conditioner went out before they could even mail me my tag and their response for helping me out on a $1,100.00 service bill was to knock 100$ off. ) very disappointed in my experience.

Worked with Dino Hill today (25 May 2016) and was dealt with respectfully. We went and looked at all the inventory, I selected the one I liked most and went from there. Played the "how much are you going to take from me and how much am I going to give you" but in the end it was great. He answered everything I asked and was truly a great help.

I had my car totaled a few weeks ago and I think between the doctors and insurance, it was actually the car buying experience I was looking forward to the least. After a few bad experiences at other dealers, we went to Jim Ellis, but were already pretty much ready to call it a day.

My husband had spoken to Maurice briefly on the phone, and were paired with Mike when we went in. Mike was exactly the kind of salesman you actually want to deal with. We told him the type of car we were interested in (and already knew we could afford), he checked their stock quickly and drove us out to the lot where they were. There was one in the style we wanted and in a color that was acceptable. He let us sit in it and drive a little (we didn't need or want a full test drive, since we had driven the same model car a few times that day already).

He took us back to the office, ran numbers in the computer for varied discounts we were eligible for (educator, GM family, etc). His manager actually was willing to honor a price that we were quoted at another, less enjoyable, dealership and offered to hold the car we were interested in for a few days since we were still waiting on insurance money to clear.

Although we did not purchase a vehicle that day, Mike was the only salesperson who listened to our needs, respected our budget, and treated us like people instead of just another sale.

My first and last experience here. Being new to town I have been victim of their unprofessional and disrespectful attitude. Before the sale happens you are a sweet customer and once the you wrote the check you have to run after them.

They don't respond to emails , phone calls and voice messages. They made me do 5 rounds to their office for each and every small thing ... about 300 miles. The Sales person has the least of interest in closing the sale and been sending me weird text messages. Worst mistake of my life that I decided to purchase from here. They succeeded in tricking me and selling a defective vehicle. . The best part is you can't really communicate with them ! Thanks Jim Ellis.

fyi ..it was a pre owned car and I been talking to Edwin. Sales agent was Seymour who shrugged off his shoulders the quickest.

This was the best car buying experience I've ever had everyone was so nice and kind they made sure I had ever thing I needed there was no hassles or pressure to but a car I had time to make up my our own mind.

I especially love Fredrick c. Gamble and Brandon simmons they're services was immaculate two very professional young men that made the transaction so smooth and easy.the one thing I love the most about my experience is that they make you feel like family not just a dollar sign but family I would definitely recommend anyone to shop at Jim Ellis for vehicle because they always give impeccable service.

Receiving collection calls from previous lender because the loan has not been paid off and we still do not have a new lender to pay our first note which is due Oct 1st. Do you think someone called to let us know what was going on? Nope, left messages and even spoke with the GM John, He told me someone will call me back tomorrow but it s been 3 weeks! So I called yesterday and Sam the new director is working on it. Today, John s response was his main focus is selling cars and we should be focused on enjoying the cars. Can t enjoy the cars because collection calls keep coming through while my CarPlay is connected!

Very good dealership, the service is fast and prices fair for the most part. I have purchased 2 vehicles there in the past 5 years and I've had a great experience every time. the only thing that I don't like is the fact that they don't have an in house loaner cars service to offer for such a big dealership. They do have an option through enterprise rentals but it's not convenient.

I had set my appointment online for Fri July 13 at noon. I arrived at the dealership 10 minutes ahead of schedule but didn't get checked in until roughly 10 after noon due to service advisors being busy. I was told that my service would take a couple of hours. Also note that even though I had this scheduled ahead of time, there was no tech to get started on my car immediately. I left the dealership & returned around 6:45pm just to find out my car was just being worked on. My car basically sat for over 6 hours before being seen. This is unacceptable though I'm grateful that the service manager had given me a discount on my service. There needs to be some sort of checks & balances in place to make sure when customers set online appointments that the techs & service advisors are aware of what is actually on the schedule for the day to prevent over booking.

I took my car in on February 5, 2020 due to a recall and shift issue. I was greeted by Sue (who is one of the nicest people I have ever encountered). She had everything ready for me and listened to my concerns and addressed every issue. She went over and beyond. So glad she was the person helping me. Also Brandon Colon( the Manager) checked with me to make sure everything was going well and let me know that he was also available should I have any questions or concerns. They both made my experience with Jim Ellis worth it!!! Thank you both for displaying great customer service.

I actually purchased my vehicles here 2 years ago, but just now leaving a review as I originally let the terrible experience slide. I m now needing paperwork for an insurance claim on my car, and they can t get back with me.. per usual. So here s the review. You earned it.

I walked in to buy 2 brand new vehicles the same day. Really didn t even need to drive them as I already knew what I was buying. But drove the car around the block just for fun. This is where it all went down hill..

Little feedback, I m someone that buys a new vehicle every 6 months. 800+ credit score. (Most dealerships would value customer retention on someone like myself.. but here we are..)

They played the typical number games. Finally settled on a price that was still somewhat over priced compared to other more loaded models nearby, but I was tired of negotiating. (Had just moved to Atlanta, they had both vehicles I wanted, and just wanted to get the process done.. my fault).

They hit me with 6% interest on one, 7% on the other... WITH 812 CREDIT SCORE?? Haha... highest I ve paid since I ve started buying cars.. this is what s known as dealership kickbacks. Finance approves you for let s say 4%. But they put 7% to get the difference. They need all the percent they can t get as this dealership is a joke.

THEN, while doing paperwork the numbers didn t add up. They did a terrible job explaining it. Rather rushed/forced the process and just said the final number isn t on here, but it is what we agreed on . How can that be? The final price isn t right.. Which finally was explained later when I got him to read the documents. They added 3,500 extended warranty to both vehicles WITHOUT my consent. So that was another 7k added to the total bill. So again.. another trip or 2 or 3 back down there to do paperwork, again.

-One vehicle had roughly 3500-6k miles on it, can t remember which.. assuming demo? But was sold to me as new .
-The back bumper was damaged (finally got repainted after coming back down there like 4 times after purchase).
-Dent inside the door jam (never fixed).
-Bluetooth didn t work (apparently no microphone in the car?)
-The wheels vibrates at any speed over 50mph. (Had custom wheels and they didn t put the centering rings on) so after going back and forth several times they ordered a new set. (because they didn t know what was wrong). Ripped a tire putting them on, so had to wait on a new tire... & still vibrated. Back we go again, finally they sent it somewhere else cause they couldn t manage to fix it themselves. Outside shop got it fixed.

So I think I did a total of 9 trips back down here for paper work/car issues/to talk to someone cause they can t answer the phone.. and it s a 45 minute drive one way to get here.

Now.. I m needing an invoice from my car I purchased from them, for an insurance claim and they can t seem to get back with me.. whats new right?

This place is nothing short of a joke. How they ve been in business this long.. or maintained 4.1 stars is beyond me. There has been like 10 1 star reviews in the last 2 months alone.. GREAT BUSINESS. THUMBS UP.

First of all, I called ahead and asked about 2 specific cars I had seen on CarGuru. I made an appointment 3 hours in advance with Dennis, and was told the BMW and Range Rover would be pulled up front for me. I showed up on time, apparently Dennis was not available to work with me, nor were the cars pulled up front as promised. I waited for 30 minutes before another salesman helped me. Another 20 minues later and the Range Rover showed up. It was trashed. Gum on the floor, trash in the back seat, just dirty, it obviously hadnt been detailed and shouldn't be made available to sell (imho). We drove around to the BMW, which was fine, took it out for a test drive and all was well. Overall, they have a decent selection of cars but customer service sucks. Due to the poor customer service, I won't be shopping at Jim Ellis Chevrolet in the futute.

There have been several occasions where they saved me money by giving good advice instead of trying to increase my bill. I purchased a used truck from Jim Ellis almost two years ago and recently found out that it did not have any tire tools. I would have thought that this would have been a standard thing to come with a purchase especially being that the truck was a demo from that dealership. I have been trying to get a set of tools for the last three months but nothing so far. I am also infuriated that the tools in question cost over $450 if I ordered from the parts department.
I have also done all of my services at the dealership which I find to be expensive and very time consuming and will be finding another place to go in the future.

I have purchased 3 vehicles from Jim Ellis over the past 2 years for me and my family. I recently traded a truck for a used Mercedes Benz CLK350 that I had been looking at on their website for over a week. Dino Hill and I had been discussing deal arrangements and he was giving me information without any pressure. He contacted me on a Friday to let me know the car was still on the lot. I went out on Saturday, negotiated the price and trade-in amount to just the right amount and drove home in my CLK350 that afternoon. Dino is a top-notch guy and I have always felt like I left that dealership with a good deal. I will continue to do business there and I highly recommend them if you are looking for a used car or truck or a new one. I am not affiliated with them nor am I paid to write this review. By the way, they also always did the service on my Silverado and I never had any issues with service either. If they couldn't get to me right away, they provided a loaner for my new truck every time.

I took my car in to Jim Ellis Chevrolet service because the engine light came on and the car was stalling mysteriously. They told me they fixed it and charged me $270 and the very next day the light came back on and the mysterious stalling resumed. I took it back and they claimed it was the transmission and that it needed $5000 worth of work - this is on a car with only 45K miles and 5 years old, a Chevrolet product, of course. To top it off, the service rep was condescending to me. Never ever again will I deal with Chevrolet or Jim Ellis. I don't even ever want to ride in Chevy, for as long as I live.

Although the damage was superficial it was still very concerning to me as I do compete in Car Shows and the damage would and did work against me during the judging of my car. At their request for a review about the recent service. I acknowledge I was still very upset when I got the request and I was very harsh in my review. I should have contacted the Service Manager Brandon Colon that I have meet before. Brandon saw my review and responded to me immediately. He asked I bring the car so he could see it and I did. Brandon was genuinely concerned and sort to immediately resolve the issue. It is because of his fast response and concern that I was satisfied that it was a freak accident. I am very satisfied and my previous faith in the excellent service I have experienced in the past four years has been restored due to Brandon s leadership of a commendable Service Department. Their service department doesn't know their own vehicles. I took my truck to them. It was running raggy. And they said it was a bad EGR valve. So they replaced it. When I got it back, it was STILL running raggy. I took it to an independant shop on Buford Hwy (Burt Bros) and they diagnosed it to be a BLOWN HEAD GASKET! Cylinder to crankcase on #3. They replaced it and its running fine. The mechanic at Burt Bros said those dealership service departments are just job programs for their families and friends and really don't have that much experience.

I'm a repeat Jim Ellis Chevrolet customer. Doing business with the sales department is always professional and fair, and I'm treated with respect. The service department keeps me coming back. I would recommend this dealership to anyone thinking of buying a car. I receive personalized service and trust my sales professional, Reggie Stagmaier. His customers tend to be loyal, repeat customers because of the attention he gives. I also really appreciated the personal attention from Sales Manager, Terrance Liddell, and the honest knowledge and efficiency of Mustafa Abdul-Kariem in Finance.

The website to schedule the appointment is not working properly. I had to call the Service Department to schedule my appointment. (Waiting on Hold) In this "Covid-19" time people are relying more on the internet then before. Please be sure your website is functioning properly! The Service personal are VERY in-personable and unpleasant. I did not feel that they had the customers interest in mind at any point. When I pulled into the area I was asked why I was there and if I had a mask, before I could even exit my vehicle. I'm sure you've heard of service with a 'Smile" and I believe this can also be done with everyone wearing masks. Look into it! Once I checked into the front desk I asked how much a Front Deflector that had gotten damaged would cost. I was not given a price until after my vehicle was completed and had the wrong side quoted. I was also notified of a recall on my vehicle that I was unaware of. They didn't even try to schedule the repair as they should have. I was told it could not be done onsite. NO attempt was made to remedy this issue. This Service Department leaves MUCH to be desired and the only reason I use it is because I live near by. I WILL be looking for another Service Department to Service my vehicle and WILL NOT be returning to this location!

Tried buying a vehicle from them but came off very shady. Called on a vehicle that was just listed. Was told it was already sold. Then got a call back, was told it became available again but I couldn t put a deposit on it till it went through service. Really? So why was the other person allowed to buy it ? Was told this on a Monday by Mark Shaw that it would be done on Thursday. Thursday comes, I follow up and it s ready to be seen and driven. I m out of state and just want to buy the car. Oh wait, another shady move it s now listed at $34,500 instead of the $33000 it s been on the internet for for the last week. Granted they honored it however the next day all of a sudden it no longer passed their service inspection. Common. This week my wife and I purchased a car and had the pleasure of working with Mankalo Brantley. This guy is hands down the most helpful person that we have ever come across. From the moment that we walked in the door Kalo was attentive and friendly and actually listened to each of the specifications that we wanted. We never felt like we were being pressured or that he was just trying to make a sale. He was honest about pricing and features and just made our dealership experience amazing. Even the staff members made sure that we felt welcomed and just small touches like offering us water made the experience even more positive.

Jasmine Kennedy assisted us with the paperwork and went out of her way to stay late and to ensure that we were up to speed with all of our documentation. Her friendliness and welcoming demeanor must be commended because signing legal paperwork can be daunting sometimes but she kept us laughing, informed and comfortable throughout it all.

Of course we walked away with the most beautiful vehicle with every single feature that we needed and Kalo was there to hand us the keys. Our first dealership experience was overall extremely positive and we just really want to thank Kalo, Jasmine and the staff at Jim Ellis Atlanta.

I bought my car here. The sales experience was ok. But the reason I was here was to get my car serviced. I HATE HAVING TO BRING MY CAR HERE! The service center staff is absolutely the worst. You walk in and the don't even acknowledge you standing there FOR A WHILE. Then when someone finally begins to help you your rep is constantly interrupted by other staff members. They ALWAYS lose my car. HOW DO YOU LOSE A CAR? If my car wasn't under warranty here I would take it somewhere else.

I live in Chattanooga and had been scouting the area and Internet for a white late model GMC Terrian with memory seat and saddle leather. Jim Ellis had 2! My hubby called and spoke with Derrick that am. He gave us his cell phone and said if we wanted to drive down let him know. He would pull the keys and have them ready. Problem is we called all afternoon and got voicemail and no return call. He finally called about 5 and said cars still available so we headed that way. He had gone for the day when we got there after 7.Fortunately we met the most wonderful DeAnn Hargis who stayed with us thru the checking out of both cars, the paperwork and finance. Very professional and personable. It was worth the drive and I got the car I had been looking for at a great price. I would have given 5 stars if Derrick had answered his cell phone!

My experience wasn't any better than going anywhere else for an oil change. In fact, I paid a higher price for the service, and when I asked for a tire rotation, which I receive at other service stations for free, I was quoted pricing for tire rotation. In addition, Jim Ellis Chevrolet doesn't offer discounts for specific services, just 'package' discounts for multiple services which I don't need. I also suspect that none of the other multi point inspections were done on my vehicle because no suggestions for improvement were made. Finally, a wash of my car used to be offered and complimentary. I guess that is a thing of the past. In conclusion, there is no reason why I should return here.
