Sales and service are both top notch in my experience. I have been happy with both automobiles I have purchased and had serviced there and would recommend them to anyone thinking of a VW product.

Excellent customer service, no comparison to other brand dealerships in the area as we went through all major dealerships in search of our new automobile.
Cheers for Mike J probably the best car salesperson in the area.
I liked the way both Robert and Shaun explained the process to me, which helped me to not look further for any other dealer in the town. It took them only 2 days to deliver my very first new car. I will for sure recommend Waterloo VW.
Mike found the exact car we wanted on the lot - a used car that might as well have been new! Once we told him what we were looking for, he got right back to us, meeting every need we had. The process itself could not have been any easier. Mike was so relaxing to work with and put us at ease with the big purchase we were about to make. Mike will DEFINITELY be seeing us again when we replace our other vehicle. Thanks for all of your help Mike!!
Not only did Rob take me out to test drive a manual car, he gave me some lessons and coached me while I tried a few laps to try the car out before I made my decision.
My husband and I have just purchased a 2015 Golf Diesel from Volkswagen Waterloo! The staff were friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about current news in the auto industry. Our questions were respectfully received and answered fully. Excited to drive the new car, we very much appreciated the personal assistance to introduce us to many of the features. Robert Vagacs, our sales rep, has also offered to provide additional assistance as we continue to have questions in getting acquainted with the new vehicle. Automotive protection and roadside service are also valuable aspects of the purchasing process. As we have been loyal customers of VW Waterloo for years, we look forward to a continuation of quality service in the future.
An absolute pleasure to buy a car here! Everyone is incredibly friendly, helpful and above all, honest with you about your car and the buying experience. I worked with Robert and he was fantastic. Couldn't have chosen a better place to purchase my first car.
Worked with Roy and he was extremely patient and professional while we worked out a deal for my new vehicle. I'm extremely detail oriented and am a perfectionist and Roy ensured I get what I needed to make me happy.
Walking into VW Waterloo after being bait and switched twice at the local Toyota dealership meant I was on my highest defense level (so much so, I even switched brands!) Rob Vagacs was fantastic to deal with and clearly understands that business is about mutual respect and long term relationships. No hard sales tactics or trickery. I'm very happy with my entire experience (including Shawn in financing, thanks Shawn!) and I highly recommend VW Waterloo to anyone who feels like they need a shower after being in other dealerships. VW Waterloo is the place to be.
Terrible customer service experience...made an appt for an inspection...thought you needed to go back to original dealership for it...explained that I normally get oil changes done at jiffy because its fast...I asked him what should have been done in terms of maintenance....he just kept saying that he wouldn't know because I hadn't brought it to them for the previous maintenance.....this man was extremely beligerant, condecending, unhelpful and unfriendly...I ended up walking out and making an appt with the Cambridge dealership for th next day (service in Cambridge was great...the service manager there told me what I needed and got it done) I honestly can't remember the last time I walked out on an appt. It was very upsetting.
VW Waterloo always takes such great care of me! I've been dealing with Robert Vagacs for ages so it's like seeing an old friend I haven't seen for a few years. Robert's attention to detail and no pressure attitude make the whole process so easy. He takes the time it takes to make sure everything is perfect, all questions are answered, and I'm completely happy with my new car. Shawn was a pleasure to deal with for the financing, making sure I was informed and completely comfortable with everything, and taking care of the paperwork quickly and accurately. I couldn't be happier with my new Golf and with the service at VW Waterloo!
I had a great experience purchasing my new Jetta through Volkswagen Waterloo! Friendly environment and I felt comfortable asking any question that came to mind.
Had the pleasure of dealing with Volkswagen Waterloo and I feel I've been turned off from ever wanting to deal with any dealership ever again. Luckily the car wasn't for myself or I would have just walked out laughing at how ridiculous the whole situation was. I heard stories of how amazing VW Waterloo use to be and only hear how things have changed over the years from their sales reps.
Instead of offering to bring the sales manager right away into the conversation they like to hide behind closed doors and only walk into a conversation when they feel it's the right time for them to interject. I couldn't stage it better myself if I was in a Seth Rogen comedy. The take it or leave it mind frame set in front of a buyer is appalling and I hope that not every dealership out there is like that.
I would give 0 stars if that was an option but I guess you can have one, as you were able to suck money out of someone I care for. Kudos Volkswagen Waterloo, I was considering buying my next car with you, but after my experience I will take my business else where.
I just had my first service appointment at VW Waterloo which was handled by Mitch, one of their service advisors. I had several questions that Mitch answered thoroughly and patiently. I appreciated the time he took to go over everything with me and felt very assured that my car was in good hands. I also had to take my car in for a fix under the emissions warranty a few months ago and received very friendly and helpful service from Daine. Overall I have experienced nothing but excellent customer service so far at this dealership.
Just bought a demo Jetta. Robert V. was great. Enjoyable to deal with, no pressure at all and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend VW Waterloo and Robert.
Very impressed with the quality of service from the VW Waterloo team - from the friendly staff, beautiful dealership and overall attention to detail, I felt very welcomed and cared for. Special thank you to Jared, Justin and Hugh for making the experience of buying my first car a great one!
Dealt with Robert Vagacs. Helpful and friendly with a low pressure approach. Of course the car sold itself as well. The 2014 Tiguan with manual transmission is just fun to drive.
We purchased our very first NEW CAR from Volkswagen Waterloo. We dealt with Justin and had a fantastic experience. The car we purchased was not on the lot, and Justin kept us in the loop while we waited for the car to come to Waterloo. He also spoke with our Insurance provider and gave them some of the information they were looking for! We also dealt with Shaun and he did a super job in explaining the AMAZING warranty options available to us. The warranty packages were great price and we really found value in adding this onto the car!! We have heard many great things about the staff of this dealership and we will definitely recommend Justin to our friends and family!!!
Originally my wife and I had a negative experience with the service department. But with a little trust, we decided to give the facility another chance. Full restitution! Our experience was very pleasant and helpful. Dave showed us a level of care that every customer deserves. Unfortunately I did not get the awesome girl's name at customer service, but she too deserves a huge thank you for helping out and prioritizing our needs. So thanks to Customer service and Dave for your efforts throughout the busy time of year(xmas).
Very disappointed, I have been bringing my car to VW Waterloo for 6 years for every service, last august I took it to them for an issue where my car wasnt starting all the time so they put in spark plugs said that was the issue and sent me on my way. 2 days later it wasnt starting, had it towed to the dealership where they had it for 3 days finally said it was the ignition coil. So once again had it replaced all said and down $700+ fast forward a year and a month and a half later check engine light comes on so I take it into the shop and turns out it's the ignition coil again. So I ask vw what the warranty is on the work they performed last year and they said a year i asked if they would do anything to help me out seeing as how it's only 1 month out. They said nope. I will never bring my car back to VW waterloo. Also I will be letting everyone I know who has a vw know aswell.
Recently bought a car from VW Waterloo. Thanks to Michael Raab and the team from VW Waterloo the experience was very good. Professional and very courteous. Totally recommend dealing with them .
GREAT OVERALL EXPERIENCE. Mike Jurj was incredible to work with. Not only did he listen to all our needs as a family he also was able to negotiate a great deal. A big thank you goes out to Jared McGregor as well who also helped with my trade in and made everything work. If you are looking for a vehicle, even if it isn't a VW, you should give these guys a shot. It is worth your time!!
It was such an amazing experience visiting Volkswagen Waterloo. Whether you are a Volkswagen person or not I highly recommend visiting the dealership and book an appointment with Mike Jurj (MJ), he is like the friend you all want. It's like you're hanging out with your buddy and end up with a great deal in the process. Highly recommended.
I just recently went over to VW Waterloo for routine service. This was my first time. Very prompt and pleasant service. It s a bit of a drive for me, but it was definitely worth the drive and I plan on heading back in the future for any parts or service I may need.
Great buying experience at Waterloo Volkswagen! Thanks to Robert V and the team there! Our 3rd purchase there...see you in 200,000 klms for our next VW!!
Just got our Tiguan serviced at Waterloo VW. Yes I did come from Ancaster all the way here because I have not gotten good service at the Hamilton or Burlington Service Centre. Did you know that one of the many skilled mechanics came in 6 out of the top 10 mechanics in the Canadian Mechanics competition of 2013 . Yes and he works on the cars at Waterloo. Thats one reason I get my 3 VW's serviced here. Another one is the hospitality served onto the customers is outstanding. Yes Rob Vagacs did let me try out the new Jetta Hybrid and I took it for a ride today. They worked on our vehicle for a full day and it was a long wait but worth it. I got all of the problems fixed with the Tiguan, recall fuse and they even checked out everything. 99 % of the service today was covered under the warrantee which is outstanding. Its worth the drive to Waterloo VW. Thanks for Rob and the whole service department for everything.
We were looking for a quality used vehicle and happened to drop in at Waterloo Volkswagen. So glad we did! The staff -- Robert Vagacs in particular -- were very professional, friendly and helpful. Would recommend that anyone looking for a vehicle -- new or used-- go to this dealership for a look.
My Girlfriend and I were looking to test drive a Golf. Walked in and passed 4 employees who were not willing to give us the time of day. Finally one looked at us long enough that he figured he should ask "is there something I can do for you?" After telling him we wanted to look at a Golf he took us to look at his personal vehicle! We cannot buy your car, so why not show us one we may be interested in? When we finally convinced him we wanted to test drive one he told us "it's a new car so don't put too many kilometres on it; maybe just 2." Good grief. It only takes a short drive for me to tell if I'm going to like the vehicle or not; and too bad for them because we loved it. Definitely going to look at a different dealership though because there is absolutely no way we will ever be returning here. Cannot believe the disrespect we received, or the attitude we had to deal with.
My recent purchase of a 2016 Sportwagon has been a very positive experience. Rob and Shawn at VW Waterloo made the purchasing process efficient and easy through email. On delivery, Rob provided a thorough in-car demonstration of everything and it was a great experience. They provided the kind of experience buyers expect and also did little things like give classy vw keychains and install my roof bars and carrier free of charge. The guys are more like enthusiasts than car sales people which means you don't even want to leave when chatting with them. Overall I would not hesitate to return to VW Waterloo for my next car purchase or perhaps, upgrade?
Parts desk associates are very helpful and spent a good amount of time helping me find me parts for an Audi, which they don't sell since they are a VW dealer. Their expertise and help is very appreciated
After the shocking death of our 10 year old diesel Passat we have purchased a 2015 Jetta. The team at VW Waterloo all pulled together to help us through the transition of getting over the reality that our old car was not worth saving and a new one was in our future. From service of our old car to the sale of our new Jetta, everyone helped to make sure we had the knowledge to make informed and educated choices. Thank you to the boys in Service and Mike Raab our salesman!
We will be back to buy another VW when our minivan is ready to be traded in.
Awesome service all around. I highly recommend Michael Raab's help. I walked away buying the exact car I wanted. Very pleasant, laid back experience. Thanks again Michael!
My biggest pet peeve with dealerships is the pushy sales people...you will NOT find that here! I dealt with the GM David, to Mike in Sales and Shawn in Finance, everyone was great. I never once felt pressured to buy a car from them.
I had to chase my application around a little bit, but great experience nonetheless.
If I were closer to the dealership, I would definitely come back for service.
I hope to continue to do business with them in the future.
Robert was very helpful and knowledgeable when we were looking to purchase our car at VW Waterloo. He was very accommodating and made the process very easy overall. Would definitely recommend Rob when looking to purchase a new car.
I recently purchased a new car from Volkswagen Waterloo. Mike Raab was the salesperson I worked with and he was very helpful during the entire process.
Mike is a genuine VW enthusiast and it comes across when talking with him. He made the car buying experience very enjoyable. When I'm talking with Mike it feels like a real conversation rather than talking with someone who is trying to sell me something. When I buy a new car I want to feel like I'm getting a fair deal and I want to enjoy the process; Mike checks both boxes.
The last two Volkswagens I have purchased have been from Mike and I will not hesitate to go back to him when it's time for another one!
I am not happy with the level of service or attitude there and have no desire to go back. Both of the last two service visits were not completed properly. And for this vehicle, there have only been two services done. The second last visit, they did not drain enough oil, added there standard amount of new oil, driving back from Ottawa I got Oil Level alerts 3 times, pulled over and checked it each time, of course it was at night. Turns out the oil level was too high. They drained some when I went back but were not apologetic and did not think it was anything to worry about. Last service, they rotated the summer tires ( just had them put back on in May). When I asked why they did that, they replied it was part of the service they do at that mileage. Note the bill was twice as much as the first visit. Driving home, I got a tire pressure alert. Pulled into a garage and had them checked, pressure was ok so I reset the TPS system. I am guessing they did not do that when they rotated the tires. I have not contacted VW Waterloo regarding this event as I expect I would get the same type of response.
I have took my car to this dealership as my car had some issues, they were very nice and returned the car before the committed date. They provide free shuttle to and fro the the dealership. And i dodnt had to worry about claiming my warranty. The advisors also were very nice and they kept updating me about the status of the repairs. Overall very happy about their service.
After purchasing my first Volkswagen Jetta from Waterloo Volkswagen in 2011, I knew that they would give me the best deal and buying experience when buying another Jetta this year. Robert Vagacs and the team at Waterloo Volkswagen are very knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family for their future vehicle needs!
I went to Volkswagon after my Toyota yaris was on the way out. Rob V help me out a lot, not pushy and really just wanted to get me into a car I liked! We were also able to get a deal fast and on my terms.
Once I bought they were also very helpful picking me up from work, and helping me out on the day of delivery.
In 2011 I bought a new Jetta and in 2013 I traded that in for a 2013 Passat. It had more power and more room. I was overall happy about this car. Recently I started having issues with it. I have less than 60000 km on it. I mistakenly thought my warranty was 5 years 60000 km. The rear defrost rarely works. The heat when set to the floor while driving never warms up my feet and the poor people s feet in the back freeze. My trunk is supposed to pop open when using the trunk release on the key fob. So I took my car in. I had no idea I was out of warranty. No warning was given to me that I was paying for these repairs. Upon returning to get the car I was informed that the rear defrost is working fine and that the heat works to Volkswagen specs. They did supposedly adjust my trunk but the next morning guess what... the trunk doesn t pop open They did not drive the car to see if while driving heat was felt in the back. The car had been sitting in the sun for a couple hours before they got to it. I should not be surprised By the company s fall back onto it is within Volkswagen s specs since when I bought the Jetta and discovered that its speedometer was out about 7 km/ hr and mentioned this, that I was told that very same thing. It is within specs and we will do nothing. Upon buying the Passat it also has about an 8 km/hr outage. Again they don t care to make a vehicle run properly. My mother s 2016 Jetta also has a speedometer outage. With the ugliness of what vw has gone through I m really surprised they aren t working hard to improve their image. Once this car is paid for I will never buy another vw. And I will share my experience of vw vehicles with anyone considering buying one.
I can not say enough about the amazing service I received walking through these doors. I walked in with a series of requests and walked out with a car and all of my needs met. Mike worked so hard to make sure I was 100% satisfied and went well above and beyond my expectations. It was a smooth and stress free experience, which I can't say has ever been the case with buying a car before. The Jetta is everything I was looking for and I knew it the second I drove it. This was my first time here and my first VW and thanks to Mike especially, they have made a customer for life.
Due to the long-term nature of our relationship, VW Waterloo works with me at a personal and consultative level. They know my vehicle needs, desires and the financial parameters that I need to work within. Based on this information they have been pro-active at matching my needs with good vehicle options. This results in an almost frictionless purchase experience and more importantly to me, a deeper sense of satisfaction and loyalty after my purchase.
In these days of Google, automated email lead nurturing and sales "automation" processes, trust and loyalty are ultimatly generated by the ability of their Sales and Service team members and fine VW products and brand. My compliemnts to the entire VW Waterloo team!
Robert was a joy to deal with. He found me the car I wanted at a very reasonable price. Most importantly, he seems to be a genuinely good and honest person, and was understanding of my foibles as I went through the car buying process. Having dealt briefly with Mike and Justin when Robert was not available, I am impressed with the whole sales team and at all times felt like they were trying to find the right vehicle for me. If you are tired of dealing with stereotypical car salesmen , give VW Waterloo a chance. Once I was ready to make the purchase, James expertly guided me through the financing and options. I am an extremely happy VW Waterloo customer! Thanks Robert!
I buy alot of OEM parts through this dealership, and I've gotten service done here a couple times. They've always given great customer service. Today I talked to their service tech for almost 15 minutes about a repair I'll be doing myself and got a ton of advice. If I was going to buy a new VW, I'd go here
My Family Purchased a New Tiguan from Volkswagen Waterloo. They put the fun into purchasing a vehicle. They were truthful and honest. Rob Vagacs helped us out tremendously and was very knowledgeable with all the products and options. Kudos to Mike Ritchie for recommending us to Volkswagen! Definitely would buy another car here!!
Would give 0 stars if possible. Not a single positive thing to say about my experience with Volkswagen and Volkswagen Waterloo.
I bought a 2016 Golf R. I ordered the car in May to arrive in late June of this year. About three weeks before my estimated delivery I asked Jeritt, the sales manager responsible for my order, to check on the car to see if the status of my delivery was still the same. That same evening I had a voice-mail from the sales manager informing me there was a mixup with my order and that the car was no longer on the way. He then gave me the option to take a car I didn't want or to wait until next year's models where the price would most likely be increased.
At this point the general manager, Dave had to step in to resolve the issue. After waiting to hear from Dave for a few days he told me they got lucky because the exact same car I ordered arrived at a dealer in the GTA. So I ended up getting the car I ordered however it took me reminding Volkswagen Waterloo about the order to get things going and it was also after them pressuring me to take something I didn't want. If I didn't say anything my car would never have arrived and once they realized they screwed up tried to make me take a car I didn't want. I should have known then to cut my ties with this dealership at that moment.
Fast forward a couple months later to my first warranty issue. My right headlight starting allowing in a lot of moisture and condensation. When I first got this checked out at Volkswagen Waterloo the guy at the service desk started telling me that they can seal it in house and how in his experience VW corporate doesn't like to replace headlights?!?! After my face was clearly frustrated and wasn't accepting of that as an answer he asked the other service guy working. The second service guy was quick to disregard what the first one had said and said this would be no issue at all as the car only had 5000k. So please be careful as certain service advisors will give you different information in my experience.
So when the light housing arrived I booked an appointment. I came in for 8am and since it was only going to take an hour I hung out while they did it. After an hour goes by one of the service personnel came to me to inform me when they tried turning the car on they realized the new housing didn't have any light bulbs.. so another hour goes by and my car is ready to go.. except when I'm driving later in the evening I get an error with the front adaptive lighting appearing out of nowhere. So I booked another appointment with VW waterloo and they informed me that when installing the light they missed one of the bulbs. So it took the mechanics at Vw waterloo three tries just to replace a headlight!!!
Fast forward another month and more problems! My driver's side window squeals/whistles when above 120kms and it's only the one window. Then my rear view camera stopped working and my trunk wouldn't open despite multiple attempts at locking and unlocking. I am very skeptical of having their mechanics look at it as transferring light bulbs proved to be an issue. These cars are ticking time bombs with constant recall and quality issues.
I expressed my concern with Dave about the fact that I've had this car for under 6 months and am already having to make multiple warranty claims which his mechanics can't seem to fix on the first try anyway. My understanding was that the dealership acted as a meditator for resolving customer issues like this one but that is not the case.
I highly recommend you do your best to stay away from owning a volkswagen and specifically dealing with Volkswagen Waterloo.
I want to start by saying that I love my 2017 VW Beetle Convertible however, I did not purchase this vehicle from Volkswagen Waterloo. I went to this dealership in the spring and spoke with Michael Raab. I was very upfront in telling him that I was shopping around for the best price and where I get the best price, is where I plan to purchase my new vehicle. We ended up getting the best price at Oakville Volkswagen (approximately $3000 cheaper). The sales person in Oakville was very helpful however, she forgot to show me how to use the wind blocker. This past Saturday, my husband and I decided to try it out. We couldn't figure out how to put it in the car and how it unfolded so we went to Volkswagen Waterloo for assistance. Initially the receptionist asked Michael Raab if he would help me. Michael looked over at me and told the receptionist "no, he would not help me". Then the receptionist asked Robert Vagacs if he would offer assistance. Robert came over but was very rude. He showed me how to open up the wind blocker but refused to show me how to install it in my vehicle. Robert made it quite clear, by his actions, that because I did not purchase my VW at his dealership, I was not welcome and would not be helped. My husband and I spent approximately 30 minutes in the parking lot trying to figure it out with nobody coming out to see if they could help. (They could have showed me in seconds). I didn't realize that if I had a simple question or something that would take literally seconds to show me, that I would have to drive all the way to Oakville to get assistance. This will not be the last vehicle purchase in my life time and I will tell everyone I know NOT to buy a car from them. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with how I was treated and will go somewhere else for regular maintenance and service.
This dealership sold me a used car and charged me a new tire tax when the car had used tires... They got sued and one day I received a cheque with no apology stating they committed fraud and got caught stealing from their customer base. Their egos are so big they don't care about returning committed Volkswagen customers. This is your dealership in a nutshell: Bought my 2003 B5.5 Passat V6 from here. They wouldn't sell me an oil sensor plug for my oil pan, arguing an inisiting their computer was right and that it had an oil sensor when I was staring at the old one under my car and refused to take my money. I believe the guys name was Mike from parts. Lastly the day I drove my car off the lot the serpentine belt snapped. Every belt after had lost one rib within 100km many mechanics have filed pulleys trying to resolve the issue but every 25-50k km they kept breaking it wasn't until today we realized the alternator they put on the car had the wrong pulley this entire time. It's supposed to have 6 rib gaps but these careless idiots put one with only 5 leaving me stranded several times, spending hundreds on belts on the car without knowing the issue. I have called today once figuring the issue out to see if they will claim responsibility with the service record of belt being changed the day of purchase...They refused to honor Volkswagen's 13 yr rust warranty when my hood has deteriorated due to their lack of design. My old passat b5.5 1.8t got an engine swap under warranty for an over heading issue and they put an oil burning engine in forcing me to top up 1L of oil per 1k km inisiting that this is completely normal. These guys cut corners for a quick dollar. Not to mention steal from you without you knowing, and don't even know their own cars well enough to sell you parts or maintenance your vehicle. Also they promised a friend of mine their new golf in a week after four weeks the car still wasn't there. After charging a few thousand more than other dealers, they ended up pulling the sale and going somewhere else for cheaper and got the car within a few days. They need to admit their mistakes and fix the issue with my costs for the belts I will have to take action and send letters to VW Canada to get a new alternator, and rembursement for all the belts I've bought and service for trying to figure out the problem, not to mention loss of wages due to being stranded at the side of the road. Don't let these joker's scam you because all they want is your money and you at the side of the road coming back. Update: VW Waterloo owned by David Kraus refused to look at the car even though the record of the belt is there and the s/n of alternator is there. Called VW Canada they say dealers can do whatever they want they are independently owned which means they don't have to hold up their warranties or certifications. Aka they have zero accountibility for their brand. You'd think how badly their hurting after the scandals they may consider caring just a little bit about their customers ...
Daine W & Brad R (and the rest of the service team behind them) deserve this recognition. They've absolutely gone above and beyond with my requests. Extremely pleased with the effort that's been put forward and I can't express how appreciative I am. The 5/5 review doesn't do them justice. Highly recommend these two individuals for their work ethic, communication and transparency throughout the service process.
Peter helped us out with getting our pre-owned Jetta. The mechanic in the service centre was also really helpful. We drove from Barrie to Waterloo VW and we were not disappointed :)
We bought a golf and it is one of the most accomplished cars for the money. Volkswagen, well done! Our special thanks to Robert too. VW is fortunate to have such a professional, energetic and talented salesperson on its staff. Robert made the car buying experience very enjoyable.
They can't take a simple walk in for warranty. People need their cars fixed, they shouldn't be expected to wait 4 to 6 weeks for an appointment. Considering selling my vw because all of the dealerships in the area are like this.
Also when I went in for my fuel pump recall, the tech didn't reinstall my rear seat properly. I had to do that myself. No pride in their work.
I had a great experience dealing with Mike and Shawn. It was hassle-free and very smooth. He went out of his way to locate the exact car I wanted and bring it in for me on a tight deadline. Additionally, I had very specific requests in regards to the delivery that were met without hesitation. I would definitely come back to VW Waterloo for my next car purchase and hope to have the pleasure of dealing with Mike and Shawn again.
Might have been nice while buying the car but DONT DARE go back for anything else. The car you have has problems?...THEY DONT CARE - JUST READ THE LOWEST STAR REVIEWS AND YOULL SEE!. Worst vw I've been to (worst experience with management level person: Jared). Sold me a car with many issues that still after years, exist today. They have done nothing about it. These guys are the stereo type of a used car sales company. Most rude on top of everything else. Makes me think twice about vw altogether.
I live in Toronto and will always travel that extra distance to get the service that this staff provides!
It was an absolute pleasure to work with the staff at Volkswagen Waterloo. Matthew Bird helped my husband and I -- he patiently explained everything we needed to know about the 2019 Jetta before buying it. He helped us put into prospective the things we wanted in a car and found the right fit for us. He was patient and thorough with the information he gave us. Shawn assisted in the financing part of the sale, and he also great to work with. Overall, the staff at Volkswagen Waterloo are very knowledgeable and understanding. I highly recommend coming here if your a Volkswagen owner, of if you'd like to be one!
Purchased a 2012 Golf R from Mike. Vehicle would not go into first gear within one week of ownership. Blame was instantly put back on me without any sympathy from the sales or service department. Had to battle with them constantly to even consider putting through a warranty claim......which was only "partially covered" in the end. Avoid this dealership at all costs. Only concern is getting a vehicle sold and off the lot. Worst "customer service" experience I have ever had, and I have worked in customer service and for other dealerships in the past.
Also see below from a canned response from the dealership. They clearly do not care about customer satisfaction in any way. This matter was escalated to the GM. No need to try and save face on a public forum with a canned reply. How about you give an honest reply to the public instead??
I had a very good experience vehicle shopping from this dealership. My salesman Roy provided excellent services! He was very helpful ,courteous and easy to work with. Highly recommend purchasing from this dealership!
I honestly can not say enough good things about this dealership. I frequently recommend this dealership if the topic of conversation arises.
Approximately 7 years ago I purchased a pre-owned certified 2003 GTI 1.8T from this dealership. Not only has the car out performed my expectations, but the service and parts counter at this dealership is incredible.
I do a lot of my own service on the car, and am always impressed with the knowledge and free advice I can get from the parts counter. Not to mention I've never had to wait more than a day for parts to be available. When buying parts they will often inquire about the job I'm performing on the car and mention clips or seals and fasteners for the job that may need replacing that I hadn't necessarily considered. When replacing the timing belt/water pump I was even able to purchase an aftermarket, made in Germany, cast iron impeller water pump from this dealership.
When the job is beyond my capability or desire to do, the service here is excellent. Explaining any options there may be in the service job, and recommending logical preventive maintenance items that would be cost effective to perform at the same time. I've always been pleased with the work I've had done here. I've dealt with other (non-volkswagen) dealerships in the past for service, only to inspect the work later and find sub par workmanship or even damage to components surrounding the area worked on the car.
During the pre-owned certified warranty period I had the car in for a few electrical items, quite a bit of front suspension work, exhaust flex pipe (which is one piece with the catalytic converter), heated mirror glass, window switches, possibly some other things, completely hassle free. The flex pipe job alone would have been over $1000 due to the cost of the part... Again, completely hassle free.
The salesman I bought the car from initially no longer works at this dealership, but I do remember being able to negotiate some cosmetic repairs to the car, as well as a new rim that was badly curb marked.
Excellent experience with the Service Manager, Brad. He was able to direct me to exactly what had to be done and an exact estimate of costs! Very good experience!
Just picked up my new GTI here. These guys are good folks! Never had an issue with sales or service and have been going here for 10+ years. Would recommend to other VW enthusiasts.
I just returned home from picking up my new GTI from Volkswagen Waterloo, and couldn't be happier. The process was relaxed and pressure-free! I had the luck of working with Mike in sales, and he ensured that I got what I was looking for and left happy and confident in my choice. I made my decision on Saturday and by Thursday morning I was taking the new car home. Overall an amazing experience!
I recently purchased a 2017 VW Alltrack from VW Waterloo. Great customer service and purchasing experience - highly professional! From the staff at reception to sales and my experience with the service team as we traded 2 vehicles in for one, everyone was kind and considerate and motivated to work towards a solution for the slightly unconventional deal process I suggested (as we purchased during the pandemic). The new facility is an awesome display of the progressive VW design. It is open and bright, clean and offers a pleasant dealership experience for the customer - the staff all commented on how they appreciate the upgrade as well! I look forward to more VW's from here and will definitely return for any maintenance and warranty work as the service staff has been exemplary towards me and all of my contacts over the years. It is clear to me why VW Waterloo is a top performer and consistently recognized by the Wolfsburg crest award from VW. A genuine thank you to everyone for the care for my Alltrack - I look forward to many happy miles with this vehicle.
We just bought our second Volkswagen from VW Waterloo! Always love the service! Justin was incredibly helpful, and got us into our first car, a 2012 Jetta and now into our new 2015 one! Would definitely recommend Volkswagens and VW Waterloo!
Had a great experience purchasing my first car from MJ at Waterloo Volkswagen! Definitely recommend. Fair prices, and very prompt and informative service!
There's a lot when you're buying a car. Rob made this so. easy. - he took incredible care of us. All of the annoying things you expect from a car dealership - waiting around, haggling over details, being generally taken advantage of... they just didn't happen. 11/10.
VW Waterloo has looked after me and my family and the many VW s we have owned for many years going back to 1999. I purchased my first VW in Waterloo the Jetta 1.8T. After a few years of researching the VW brand and since that first vehicle was purchased. I have gone back to VW Waterloo to purchase and have VW Waterloo maintain 7 more vehicles. Golf 2001 TDI; JETTA Wagon 2003 TDI; JETTA 2009 TDI; PASSAT 2013 TDI; Golf Sportwagon 2015 TDI; Passat 2017 TSI; Each vehicle was maintained and cared for by the brilliant service staff. Its important to have a trusted service team that looks after the vehicle that I use daily; to get to me to work and back home safely everyday. Over the years the dealership has seen many changes, wonderful staff members come and go but the culture of service and care taken with each staff member has always been #1. I want to recommend to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle new or used to VW Waterloo. The dealership that was started by Dietrich Look who instilled a true customer first culture has continued to maintain that high level of service and continues to be my favourite Dealership in Ontario!
