I don't know where to begin with our first time home buying experience with Dina Piterniece and Porch Light. We were in an incredibly unique and time sensitive situation that was sprung on us in a really busy time in our lives. From the introductory meeting to the final closing PorchLight Real Estate Group in general and Chad Mendoza in particular, were the consummate professionals. Chad thoroughly researched the market and determined that our home could sell for a substantially higher price than suggested by any of the other agents with whom we met. This reflects Chad s deeper than usual understanding of the Denver real estate market in general and the Cheesman Park/Congress Park/Botanic Gardens area in particular. This insight is the result of years of experience in this particular area.
We had lived in our house for over 40 years and had never before sold a home. Chad s spot on advice as to what we should fix and what to leave alone saved us thousands. And he was right! He walked us step by step through the process and time line of the selling experience. His expertise minimized any unpleasant surprises of which there could have been many in selling a 120+ year old home.
Chad is a detail oriented person who keeps his focus not only on what is happening in the process, but also on the what if situations. In our case the potential buyers brought up an issue which concerned them. Because Chad has people he can depend on for accurate analysis of many different scenarios a potential deal breaker was averted.
We followed Chad s recommendation to move out of the house prior to putting it on the market. This made it much easier for Porch Light to arrange for teams of pros to come in and clean the house AND wash all of the windows. With the skill of the staging people the house sparkled. The result was an above asking price offer the first day on the market.
The closing team at First Integrity Title Company contributed greatly to an overall wonderful selling experience. They kept us informed throughout the entire process with a flawless finale even though by then we were over 1500 miles away. Unprofessional Management I Do Not Recommend At All

Had my first house bought with the help of Meghan Quiat. She had been with me every step of the way, channeling my sea of thoughts and concerns into taking it one step at a time. She showed me different styles of houses in different neighborhoods until I narrowed down the layout, neighborhood and price range I was most happy with. I had felt I was in good hands and everything was handled with the utmost attention to detail and professionalism. Here we are, one year later, and I m still super happy with the choice Meghan helped me make.

We had the absolute worst experience with this agency!
It started with a dishonest and manipulative agent. We assumed we had just landed up with a bad agent and we tried to escalate the issue to management in the hopes of continuing to work with them! We soon realized the problems ran right to the top of this agency!
All they care about is making a quick Dollar - and couldn t care less about potential clients!
I did try to resolve the issue and I reached out to their president. Rather than trying to resolve the issue, the President spent weeks pushing us to the side and trying to get us to work with this broker that I had advised her was dishonest and that had mislead us.
A company that clearly has no interest in resolving client issues when it doesn't suit them.

As first time homebuyers, my wife and I were understandably excited and nervous to begin the process. Fortunately, Rob Spooner with Porchlight helped several friends buy their first homes too and came highly recommended. We actually interviewed four real estate agents, and when we interviewed Rob we really appreciated that he took time to not just find out what kind of house we might like, but also took the time to understand what neighborhoods would fit our personalities and lifestyles. I would have made a bad decision left to my own devices...but having Greg Sturcke and the Porchlight team saved me from that. Porchlight really strives to meet the needs of each client. And while Greg was a representation of that, he also paid a lot of attention to each detail of our house search process. Why working with Tania at PorchLight Realestate was the BDE (best decision ever)!

Relocating to Colorado was a big deal for my family. Everything was unfamiliar territory for us including the schools, the neighborhoods, the parks and places to shop. We liked the idea of renting a property but the thought of purchasing a home gave me anxiety. Mostly because the process is very personal and emotional and with so many unknowns about the neighborhoods, I had no certainty if where we bought would meet our needs. After discussing the ins and outs of what we had in mind, Tania took us on a market education day it was great. We drove all around different neighborhoods scoping out the scene. Was it close to the city, close to my job, or close to a grocery store? Were there any parks within walking distance? Were the houses in that location larger or smaller? Would we pay top dollar in a certain neighborhood vs get a bit more for our money in another? Tania s knowledge of the real estate market and the locations we checked out on market education day put all my uncertainties at ease.

A couple weeks after our initial neighborhood investigation, we began attending a series of open houses. And by we I mean my wife, myself, and our two kids ages 4 & 6. We would see up to 10 houses a day, shlepping the kids inside each one, which was somewhat stressful for us, but to Tania this was nothing new. With one child on the verge of a meltdown and the other giving Tania her unsolicited two cents, Tania was a pro.

That final thing that made working with Tania at PorchLight the BDE (best decision ever) was that she always seemed to have everything we needed- mortgage lenders, home inspectors, flooring specialists, local school info, goodie bags for the girls to help prevent future melt downs. There was never a single thing we needed that Tania did not have or could not find a solution to.

We will certainly use Tania in the future, and would recommend working with her to anyone in the Denver metro area!

Consistently violate zoning laws posting signs on private property without permission, and then are rude about it.

I had been looking at making my first home purchase for some time, and of course I had received several realtor referrals from friends. Terrible customer service after the sale! Once the deal is done you will not get any help from them at all! We closed in November 2014 and have had issues with windows, driveways, appliances, plumbing, etc. and all we get from them is a list of contractors we are supposed to call ourselves to get issues resolved. Not only do you get no service the emails you get from the agents are snippy, like you are inconveniencing them by asking for help dealing with issues due to the builders they represent! If you are buying a house from this agency make sure everything is done to your level of expectations before you close, because after the deal is done you will get no help.
