I had been looking at making my first home purchase for some time, and of course I had received several realtor referrals from friends. Having never been through the process before, I had no idea what to expect and was happy for any advice. My experiences were fine, but I didn't have a real baseline for comparison. Then I was introduced to Jessica Schmelzer at PorchLight who came very highly regarded by two different contacts who could not stop raving about how amazing she was. I decided to meet with her and within one meeting it was obvious how far she stood out from the rest and that I wanted to work with her on this process. You will not find a more responsive, dedicated and truly caring person to work with than Jessica. If I had any complaint, it was that I sometimes felt guilty at how amazingly responsive she was. Buying your first home is a very intimidating experience and she was with me 100% of the way. Some times you need an unbiased opinion to temper your enthusiasm so you make rational decisions, other times you need a friend to give necessary encouragement, and yet other times still you need the trusted business advisor and skilled negotiator who is determined to get you the best possible deal without losing the bid. Jessica navigates the entire process with the skill of a seasoned professional while making you feel as comfortable as you would with a long time friend. Even after closing she continues to check in regularly and is happy to help whenever an opportunity arises. I could not have made a better choice and highly recommend her to anyone buying or selling a home. You just don't know how good a realtor can be until you meet Jessica!
