Don't shop here. I messaged them half an hour after ordering the wrong item and now, 4 days later they are letting me know that they are shipping it but I can pay for return shipping to get a refund. An absolute joke.

Their recording while you are on hold says, "Good customer service begins after you order". awesome service when I called to order accessories for my ride on mower. waited the estimated lead time for delivery and then called to check the status and was told the part(s) I ordered (and was charged for) were discontinued. BLAH!!!!!! Totally FRUSTRATED that the customer service didn't have the smarts to call and let me know this. Seriously, go back and listen to your own message.

They go out.... On making sales available during mowing season. However i purchased a 300.00 ECM for one of my redline exmark lazer z x-series 38hp units along with a 100.00 throttle position solenoid back in oct 2018 to get the fleet ready for when we head out 2019 which sat for months in the shop unused mid season with this solenoid being used for a max of 6 mos decided to slip out of the threads and. No longer be of any use. Called to ask what warranty it had or if they had run into this before. Dave stated he hadn't said part wouldn't be under warranty anyway and directed me to the manufacturer. Which is worthless. Anyways im glad to find out now because i was calling to purchase a carb unit for another x-series i had that was giving me a issue to purchase. I felt the quality of the product i recieved was substandard for the amount of money (was under impression that it was a oem part) but definitely will be looking for someone with better products and a possible better customer service department. I understand it was sunday and maybe that was it. But felt disregarded as a customer who purchased high end products in the past. And couldn't get 5 minutes to lookup my order even though i had order number ready for him. Oh well at least 300 computer still working strong.

I ordered a part 2 weeks ago because their website said fast 2-4 day shipping. after a 9 days I still had no shipping conformation. I called, and after 15 minute hold time the lady said yes they had messed up and they would ship the next day and the part would be here by Friday. I asked if they would waive the shipping since it really put me in a bind waiting on the part and was told that they were waiving the expedite charges of 30 dollars since they were dealing with the problem right away. Well thank you for not charging me an extra 30 bucks for forgetting my order. Never Again will I use them. Still waiting on the part. I know things can get misplaced but really saying you weren't going to charge me extra to wait an extra week , come on.

I will never do business with this company again. Took three weeks for my order to arrive and when it did some of the parts were not what I ordered. The very rude customer service rep told me I would have to pay return shipping if I wanted a refund. Another item in my order was cancelled because it was discontinued. Why is it for sale on you site then? All this from a company who's motto is "After the Sale its the Service that Counts!"

I bought a very expensive snow blower from Jack's. I've only used it 5 times in the last 4 years. It's been in service twice. Jack's was helpful the first time but absolutely did NOTHING the second time. I won't be purchasing from Jack's again!!

Please answer your phone. 30 minutes on hold hung up tried again 15 more minutes. Will go order a rider mower further down the road I guess.

Update: Thanks for the reply. I totally understand why they were so busy. I have since visited Jacks and purchased my mower and have ordered parts as well as service my other lawn equipment. The staff there have been more than willing to help me with my equipment needs and provided superb costumer service. I m glad I now have a place nearby to get things done.

I work on a variety of outdoor equipment. When I need a part I know I can go to the Jack's website and find what I need. I love the expanded diagrams. It helps to see exactly how everything fits together. I sometimes use these diagrams as a reference. Everytime I purchased a part it was correct. They also package their parts very well and everything arrives in good shape.

Horrible people to deal with. Nasty and rude and have literally never heard anyone local have one single good thing to say about them. I haven t been in in a year or so but felt compelled to leave a review since I forgot to do so last time and now that I need parts for the mower this year it reminded me not to go there even though it would be much more convenient. Go to western auto down the street, they have saws, mowers and a repair shop and are very friendly people.

I recently bought a Gravely Zero Turn Mower at Jack's after spending a significant amount of time looking at the box stores. Jack's was competitive on all their prices and was far ahead of all the others in terms of selection and personal service. I eventually bought my mower after going back 3 times to look at their inventory. Each time I came back, I spoke with Justin and found his no-pressure approach exactly what I was looking for in a local business that focuses on finding the right piece of equipment for homeowners like me. Jack's is also convenient for the end-of-summer servicing of my mower, something else you will not get with the big stores. I intend to go back for a chain saw soon. If you are looking for a good lawn care product, check out their website and do your homework first.

I got everything I ordered with no problems. I had to call once and the parts guy was so helpful and pleasant. Only problem is that I live in Canada and by the time it gets here it is pretty expensive with customs and exchange on the money. Butt all and all a good experience.

I ordered a spring for my zero turning lawnmower on July 20th and was notified on the 21st one of the parts was back ordered, would I like a partial shipment. I responded yes as the spri g was the most important item. I waited a week later I get another email the part is still backordered would you like a partial shipment, so I called customer service 37 minutes later of holding I gave up and sent a nasty email. This time I received an email stating they would ship it at no charge. This was on Monday, I received an email with a tracking number, since Monday it says the label has been created but we have not received the item by USPS. This company is a joke, they don't care about their customers, if it doesn't give me a date by the end of the day, I will go buy it locally.

Well 10 days later I still do not have my parts and it's still going to be another 3 days before it gets shipped. I would've done better to order from Amazon. I will never use these people ever again if I can help it. I could've ordered from Amazon or ebay and had my parts here on the 4th day. Never again.

I am reading some of the other reviews and seeing a common problem here. My experience has happened on multiple orders. They would say that my specific part I need is in stock and I would receive another email days later stating that is wasn't in stock and they had to order it, if I knew that was the case I never would have ordered it. The first order I placed I have now been waiting 15 days from the original purchase date and only received one of the two things on back order so now who know how long it will take for the second piece to arrive. I mistakenly thought that this was just a one time error and purchased Another order of parts. They said they were in stock and come to find out they were not once again. They added they would be delivered on August 31st and September 1st. Now I just checked on the status and it now says September third and September sixth. Like I stated earlier I thought this was going to be a quick process or I never would have ordered these parts that were needed in a quick emergency. I don't recommend ordering from this site EVER if your in a rush.

2 years ago, I bought a Husqvarna lawn tractor from Jacks. It was basically an Ariens mechanically. I bought from Jacks because I figured that I would get a better support experience from a local business.

The mower was a lemon. It wouldn't start days after purchase. I had to have them haul it back to the shop - they found nothing, but got it to start. Last year, it intermittently failed to start. I returned it again. They found nothing, and did nothing, and it was returned.

This year, after carefully winterizing the mower and replacing oil, gasoline and cleaning it, the same thing: it doesn't start. I was about to take it back, but what is the point? They sold me a lemon and won't do anything if they can get it to start.

I will work with local mechanics to rebuild a nearly new tractor because it will still be cheaper than buying new.

Don't buy from Jacks!

After speaking with a Makita customer service repr...

After speaking with a Makita customer service representative, and after an exchange of messages with Jack s, I believe Jack s small engine store to be misleading with regards to the bonus battery offer with Makita. Makita states that the store should be giving the promo offer with the all the qualifying chain saws (which clearly Jack s is offering the promo).
Here are my thoughts,
First response from Jack s-
The box is shared for both the XCU04PT and the XCU04PT1 models. The model you ordered (XCU04PT) comes with two batteries, whereas the XCU04PT1 comes with 4. Since you ordered the XCU04PT, only two batteries were included from the manufacturer.

My response to the above- First of all, the models of the chainsaws are the SAME exact chainsaw. See their response below, the refer to different versions utilize the same box. The model number with the 1 at the end is their way of distinguishing the promo offer. Which should one receive during a promo offer of receiving to extra batteries via Makita?

I messaged them to state the box clearly states the chainsaw comes with two extra batteries, including a picture in the upper right-hand corner of four batteries. This is the manufacture current running promotion.

Then, they decided to engage in mockery to exaggerate the situation. In response to this, yes if a company is running a promo on a product, I expect the promo with the product. Even if it is a tiger!
Shouldn t a company adequately train their employees to not response to customer concerns with mockery?
I tried other sellers on Amazon and the XCUO4PT comes with four batteries during this promo.
The box comes from the manufacturer, they use the same box for each version of the model. If the box said "Free Tiger" would you expect a tiger to come with it as well? The product you purchased and description was clearly stated on the product detail page when you purchased. The box is simply a container for transport.

Here is a screenshot of the product page where it clearly says 2 batteries, you did not purchase the 4-battery kit, so not sure why you'd expect to get 4 batteries based on the product you chose during checkout

I would expect four batteries because this is the current promotion, regardless of your set up on Amazon.
The company does not accept returns on chainsaw, even though Amazon prime & free returns is located under the price on product description. This information is only located AFTER you print out the return label under their instructions bullet points.
Same time and money and go local where they give you the current promotions.

And finally, their response to the above-
Plain and simple, you didn't order the PROMO with the "1" you ordered the XCU04PT. Just because other sellers like Amazon have a price doesn't mean every seller has the exact same price.

So, my guess is they go into the box and remove the extra two batteries that should be in the box. They are correct not every store has the same price, not sure what this has to do with this situation. I did find the same chainsaw with the promotion for a lower price.

When the pandemic cut loose, so did my lawn guy. After a couple of years of seeing a mediocre job being done on my lawn, I decided to take on the 2.5 ac myself. After doing my research, I decided on an Ariens XD52. Unfortunately getting ahold of anyone to purchase one with reduced staffing, layoffs, and work from home orders only added to my frustration. I'm tired of trying to get any insight from a big box store, and I knew Jack's had a big selection. I worked with a good guy named Justin. He was knowledgeable, cool headed, and got me the best price. I was so happy with my experience, that I walked out with a trimmer, chain saw, and a bagging attachment .... in addition to the Ariens XD52.

Wish I seen the other reviews on this site prior to ordering from them... not a great experience. Same as everyone else product showed in stock only to find out after that it was being brought in from an external company... took our order approx a month from time of order till we actually received it. I would never order through them again ... and other buyers beware as it is a deceptive site as far as product availability. Customer service is poor as well.... tried contacting there offices a couple times and no response. Never Again!!!

I ordered parts, and checked order status the next day. One part was on considerable back-order. Spoke to customer service the part that was backordered was dropped with NO HASSLE. My other parts (hard to find Onan parts) shipped that day, and I received them 2 days later. These guys were great to deal with. They are my new go to for small engine parts. Thanks again.

Not only did Jacks have the place in stock and available, it was shipped that day and priority and arrived in only a day and half. If I ever need any small engine repair parts, Jacks is the place I'll look first.

Well.... they say customer service is important but that is a lie. I placed an order online on 6/11/20 and still have no update as to where my parts are. I have emailed them twice and no response. Been on hold for 10 minutes now and loosing my patience. They charged my card within minutes for my parts and almost a month later I have nothing in my hand to fix my mower. I don't want to drive to MD but might have to so I can get my parts.

Worst customer service possible. Bought an aerator - they put special conditions on the shipment that did not allow me to modify any part of the delivery: I could not electronically sign (they required a signature for delivery), could not hold it at the UPS location for pickup, and could not change the date of delivery. Since as the shipper they enacted these restrictions, I called them to ask for assistance in changing the UPS restrictions- otherwise the package would just continue to be "attempted for delivery" until finally returned to the seller. They stated that the only thing they could do was have it held at a UPS facility located five towns over from where I live. Then called UPS to determine whether they could hold it at a UPS store 10 minutes away from me; they said they would have been able to, but because Jack's put a hold on the delivery now they are unable to redeliver and they are unable to hold it at a different location. So now I have to drive two hours to pick up an aerator that was supposed to be shipped to my front door. Several phone calls to Jack's did nothing to assist with the delivery. Never going through this hassle again.

UPDATE: The Director of Operations reached out to me and worked with me to fix the situation. He did his best to remedy the frustrations, and in the end refunded a percent of the purchase. Very grateful that they listened to my issues and took the time to assist.

I have ordered parts several times and the service has been excellent. They are very nice and very professional. The parts I ordered were genuine Honda OEM parts. Shipment was fast and came in on the day they said it would.
I will definitely buy again from Jacks small engines and will tell my friends,family and neighbors.

Horrible customer service. Waited days for email saying parts were shipped. Check order status and they didn t even have the part, and had to order from their vendor which was going to take almost 2weeks for them to get them another week for me I can t wait nearly a month for a part. Sent an email the day prior saying I wanted to cancel my order and never got an email saying your order was cancelled. Or anything. So I called and sounded like I woke the person up, tried to explain what was going on only to be interrupted and cut off saying that I was being refunded my money. .

As far as returns, I can't comment since I've never needed to return any item. Any doubts about what you need, simply call as I had to do and they will get what you need.

I talked to the manufacturer and ordered it from another store. It was available and delivered in 3 days!! I had to get Bank of America involved to get my money back from Jack's. Not worth the experience to support this small company.

I called Menards hoping to find a part for 35 year old John Deere riding lawn mower Unfortunately they didn't have the part and cannot get the part it has nothing to do with Jack's Small Engine the problem is with John Deere John Deere does not play well with anybody else and after so many years they just discontinued the parts so you cannot get parts for John Deere equipment because they want you to buy new equipment brand new stuff and they refuse to put their schematics out stuff like that for other companies to make use parts for us so as far as I'm concerned John Deere's waste of time I'll never buy another John Deere product ever my neighbor bought a tractor he can't get any parts for it it's ridiculous but that's just my opinion

Jack's Small Engines.... "The worlds largest online retailer of small engine equipment" WHAT A JOKE THIS PLACE IS! The website states that they ship out within 2-5 business days, but this is a lie. It took me over a month and half a dozen phone calls to FINALLY receive the machine I ordered... But I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED the rest of my order. Some pretty expensive accessories. When calling Jacks, yet again, I was told for the 3rd time "it was on backorder from manufacturer but it is shipped now" I was told THREE TIMES over a THREE WEEK SPAN that the product had been shipped, and yet I do not have the items I have paid for. I even received an e-mail after one of my calls to Jacks that stated "we have received the item from the manufacturer and to avoid shipping difficulties we are holding the mower until we can ship the accessories with it" THAT WAS 2 WEEKS AGO! Today I received the mower BUT NOT the accessories; and when calling Jacks I was, yet again told, "it was on backorder from the manufacturer and we have not yet received it."

"Jacks" is a great name for this company, due to the amount of "jacking around" they do of their customers..... Maybe my attitude towards them will change if I ever receive the items I have paid for... but probably not.

Figured I would give this company a try. Good prices but buyer beware. Ordered a simple scraper blade for my wheelhorse snow thrower. I am aware that this item is not in stock and would have to wait. No problem with that. I am a reasonable person. The issue is, although they wont tell me, I believe they lost it or could not find it after reciept from their supplier??? The original order was placed 10/3. After 4 calls, it was ordered again and was told I would have it in hand today, 11/7. This was verbally guaranteed so I gave them another chance. Today 11/7 still no part, and after another call, I am told I might have it end of next week. Strike 1,2 and 3. Cancelled order. Reordered from another popular company. Stock checked. MANY IN STOCK. Will have it in 7 days guarenteed as I am a many time repeat customer.

Ordered a mulch cover for my Husqvarna 46" mower in person. The sales person was not rude but may want to consider how he interacts with customers regardless of size of purchase. Terse and condescending to a degree. Nevertheless, because I drove out there I ordered the part, which they told me was free shipping but came from their warehouse. Was told it would be 2 weeks, which is ridiculous in this day and age. After 2 weeks the online status kept getting pushed back to where the anticipated date was a month, and after 3 weeks I called. The sales lady said the part was arriving that day. Something was odd about that. When I went to pick up the part the sales lady, who was very pleasant, brought out the mulch cover, which of course was just a cover and no hardware. C'mon, Jacks! Don't you think I would need hardware to use this part? The sales person said, would you like to order the hardware? "Uh no. i'll just tape it to my mower!" Of course I need the hardware for another $20, Jacks. Why didn't the original guy just offer that? I want to support a local business, but there is a reason stores like these go by the wayside and it isn't competitive pricing entirely. Sorry I didn't by a $20k tractor but I was giving you another shot after repeated attempts to have my mower serviced there went unanswered a year ago. Now I know better. Go at your own risk. If you can't do the small things well, why would I trust you to handle a large purchase?

Very poor service, never could talk directly to someone always the robot when I called customer service. My part was supposed to be shipped within 3-5 days, waited 17 days before I received my parts in the mail, and still made me pay for shipping. Will not ever recommend anyone to Jack's and i don't be buying anything here again.

This when I got the wrong information from another place and bought the wrong part because of another company recommendation. I will do business with them again.

Purchased a Honda 32 inch wide track drive snow bl...

Purchased a Honda 32 inch wide track drive snow blower from Jack's about a month ago. It broke down on its first use. I would return the whole machine if I could but it has been used once and I did not save the crate it came in. These are two of the requirements for returns.

Since I can not return it I will fix it. I called Jacks and spoke to Steve (Stephen) and he was happy to sell me new parts at full retail. $32 for a little plastic boss and a 7x40 pin to hold it to the auger shaft.

There is a soft metal 6mm shear bolt that is supposed to break when something binds up the auger blades, not the boss. This is my second one of these machines and I keep a supply of these shear bolts for this purpose.

Harbor Freight has a better reputation in my mind, than Jack's right now, for two reasons:

A. You know what kind of quality to expect.
B. If return something that breaks, they just give you a new one.

Awful mower delivered when they said they hadn t gotten busy after a month, they ordered parts. Parts were wrong. Reordered parts. Picked up lawn mower and was charged for wrong and right parts. At no time was anybody nice let alone apologetic. So much for the small town touch. Go anywhere but here.

Horrible service!!! Great diagrams though. I ordered some parts for a snowblower and one of the parts was USED. It has some corrosion and scratches, you could easily tell it was once mounted. Contacted customer support by email 2 times no reply. Called customer support, was on hold, and disconnected. It was a cheap part so its not worth the aggravation of dealing with them. I had to sand and repaint the part. I am in a couple of small engine repair groups and this place is just known for the worst customer service. I would avoid them!

We brought our pressure washer to Jacks Small Engines in the middle of June for a repair. There were some hurdles with getting everything started (timing for them to take a look at it and timing on our end for the warranty). Craftsman sent over the pump for them to make the repair and addressed it ATTN: Ron per JSE's request. We reached out to see what the status was and they claimed they did not have the part. They said they receive thousands of deliveries so it could be anywhere if they did in fact have it. They requested the tracking number which we obtained & provided (received in by an employee Cosner). It took them 11 days to find the part that was somewhere within their facilities. We had spoken to Ron & Justin to confirm the tracking information and we were told they would continue to look for it and get back to us.

After a few days I called again and they finally found it. I was told they would be working on it that day (7/21) and the woman I spoke with would have Ron call me back about the delays and lack of any kind of follow up on their part. By the end of the day I hadn't heard anything so I called back. I spoke with the same woman and she was incredibly apologetic and told me Ron did not want to speak with me. She said she had no words for this and he was refusing to pick up the phone. I was shocked. We are new to the area and will need plenty of lawn equipment in our lifetime but I am shocked that supporting local has led to this level of customer service. I had mentioned that the manufacturer told me she was in awe what they were charging me to complete this simple task, I did not go in demanding a discount but to speak on my experience with their lack of follow up and how they lost my part for 11 days and I had to continuously check in. I still have not received my pressure washer back nor have I received any kind of call from their GM, Ron. I will make sure to never support them again.

Support this business at your own risk. I have listened to their waiting message for hours now which emphasizes that After the Sale It's the Service that Counts..let me warn you now of said service.

Extremely disappointed with this company. I ordered a Honda generator through them (eu2200i) and it was damaged upon arrival. What is more, they sent me the wrong generator (a similar but different version without DC output option)! When I requested a refund or replacement, it was flat out refused with no explanation. Ultimately, they offered to take it back if I paid for the return shipping plus a 20% restocking fee (over $300!). This company is criminal.

It is very rare that I leave there without the part I need, and if it s not in stock at the local store, they can usually get it same day or next day from the warehouse. The parts people are all friendly and knowledgeable- I appreciate that they help me to help others in the community. 10 out of 5 stars.

Can't get through to anyone. Same issue as others where part was available then kept getting emails saying parts were on back order. Finally called local company that got it to me in 3 days. Charging back item because my online cancel request was not confirmed or responded to and cannot reach anyone. Shady company for sure.

I ordered some parts from here and I was told that my parts will be shipped by a certain day. As the day got closer. I received another email saying it has been pushed out by 5 days. Then a day or two later I received another email saying that my parts will be shipped 3 days later than it was just sent to me.. The original order date was July 9, 2018 and at the end my parts will ship Aug. 4, 2018. Maybe is would have been the last email I would receive saying it was pushed out. But, I have to find someone else to get the parts from. Sorry to say knowing things do happen. But, contact with me saying we having problems getting your parts would have been the correct way to do business. So, this act has pushed me to consider your business to be the last one to deal with. Be better at thinking about your customer's needs.

Shout out to Justin at Jacks Small Engines. I was looking for a new
48 inch lawn tractor. I have a very hilly property and needed something that wouldn't slide when the ground is saturated. I compared their prices with Lowe's and found them to be comparable and in some cases even lower.

I called Jack's and listed my needs. Justin immediately took me through the choices, explained why I needed larger tires, and how an automatic differential would improve the traction on the hills. At the end he found an incentive and got me the tractor for a price lower than I had agreed. After I bought it I wanted a modification to the trailer hitch and they picked up and delivered the mower at no extra charge.

I always prefer to use local businesses whenever possible, and especially now during the pandemic. My experience with Jack's has reinforced that belief.

Terrible customer service. The email updates do not reflect what has actually shipped or what is currently in stock. I've had nothing but problems with this place. Was just on hold for 45 minutes, 10am on a monday. I have submitted a online ticket three times on one order, alone, to cancel and modify with no action. If you need Honda lawn parts use Parts Pak. Cheaper, Faster, Real Updates and Stocking info.

Terrible customer service. I would leave zero stars but it s not an option. This less than honorable business fulfilled an order and sent a tracking number to Amazon. We waited patiently for 2+ weeks for it to arrive but the shipping date kept changing. We tried to reach out to them via phone but we re hung up on by one rude sales rep, they also won t return messages through Amazon. What a horrible business with terrible customer service. I would not recommend Jacks Small Engines to my worst enemy. Shame on you all.

Updated - Maybe you missed the part about the rude customer service representative who hung up on me? Maybe you missed the point you sent tracking information for a cancelled order? Shame on your worthless excuses. You ve lost acustomer for life and hopefully many more. A simple and meaningful apology could have forgone all this of this!

Based on my experience (this is the first time I've heard of Jack's and therefore the first time I've ordered anything from them), I don't understand the large number of one-star reviews. I ordered a shredder screen for my old Craftsman chipper-shredder. Jack's price was a whopping 43% less than Sears and it arrived in 2 days (the same service I get from Amazon Prime)! The screen fit perfectly.

Although it's unlikely, I'm hoping this screen is made of higher carbon-content steel, because the Sears screens are soft steel and the tines bend out over time. To make the screen work properly, you have to periodically hammer the tines back in place. You can only do that so many times before one or more of the tines break due to metal fatigue.

I recently purchased a zero turn mower from Jacks after a very long search on the internet as well as looking around locally. I went to a bunch of specialty shops as well as the Big Box stores and asked a lot of questions about what separates one zero turn mower from the next. When I went to Jacks Small Engines, I dealt with Justin who is very knowledgeably about the products that they carrier and asked me questions that none of the other sales people had asked to really fit me into a mower that would suit my needs. I ended up going with a model that they did not have on display at the store and added a few extras to it that I wanted. Justin told me it would be a week or so before it would be ready for pickup and they would install all of the extras for me, before I took delivery. 3 Days later he called and said everything came in and I could pick up the mower at my convenience. I picked up the mower on a Friday and used it the same day to mow and bag all of the leaves that had dropped, I noticed that the steering control seemed different on the right side then the left, I called Justin and he said to bring it back in and he would have his Service Dept look at the machine. I took it back in planning to drop it off and leave it, but when I arrived, he had the service guys jump right on it and discovered that the steering damper was bad on one side. I figured it would be under warranty from the manufacturer and they would provide a new one free of charge, but Justin said let me check and see if we have one in stock, which they did and ended up replacing it on the spot and repaired the machine in an hours time. Try getting that kind of service from a Big Box store, I thought I would pay a little more buying it from a dedicated outdoor machine shop but it would be worth it if something would go wrong, but I ended up paying a little less at Jack's and still received the great customer service that you expect from a small specialty store. I would definitely recommend Jack's and wen you get there, ask for Justin.

I ordered some parts from this company and have not received my parts in over a week. I tried to track where it was and there was no information available through their website. I then called them and they said the parts are now being shipped out today, a week after my initial order date and it will be another week or so until I receive it. I would rather purchase my parts else where at a higher price for a better timely delivery service. My experience. If you want your parts quickly, "this is not the place for it"...expect 2 weeks or more. Very disappointed in the customer care, and will not have any future purchases with this company.

Sent them my power washer to repair its starter. Got home tried the washer, it started fine now the water would not compress. Had to take it back to hopefully get the washer working properly.
After a month with no contact on how the repair was going, I finally called them on it. During the call with the technician said that the water pump is now broken. When questioned about why the pump worked before they repaired the engine, I was told that these things happen. I was also told that they do not fully test the products after repairing them to make sure it works properly, they only test to make sure that the initial complaint is fixed. Since the manufacturers instructions clearly state that the engine is not to be started without water flowing in the pump (Since without water in the pump, the pump could be damaged and it appears this is what happened in this case. Of course Jack's Small Engine Repairs disclaims all potential damage caused by their actions (or lack thereof)). However, they will sell me another power washer for about the price they quoted me to repair the pump on my old power washer.

I have 2 older lawn tractors cub and a troy built. I've been able to find parts for both at Jacks. But when looking on there site sometimes the picture of the part is not there or the part number i have has changed in there system. The shipping most of the time was pretty fast. I will keep ordering part from them for these 2 mower.
