My friend booked Hoppa to pick myself, my elderly mother and 4 year old from Barcelona airport on Monday 23rd July. Hoppa was not there when we arrived. The airport staff tried ringing Hoppa but there was no answer. My mother uses a walking stick so after much wasted time we got a taxi. I tried contacting Hoppa later by phone but was unsuccessful. I managed to get confirmation from an automated message that my return pick up (25th) was still booked. No idea what happened on the Monday, even to this day. My friend even tried to contact them back in the UK to find out what happened. On Wednesday there was a taxi strike. Considering the disaster on Monday the hotel receptionist tried contacting Hoppa's Spanish resort by phone to confirm they were coming that evening. Again no reply. It took me over 3 hours to sort out alternative transport because of the taxi strike. We should have been affected by the strike because of the Hoppa booking. The reality was they let us down on Monday. I feared the same would happen again on the Wednesday. We could afford to miss out flights. What a waste of money. The communication was poor. It was a stressful experience.

DO NOT USE HOPPA. This company use local provides for the taxi services. The first time we used Hoppa, the driver was late to pick us up, but arrived within 15 minutes. The second time, the driver did not turn up at all and we almost missed our flight. I complained and was refused a refund as the driver claimed they were there waiting. The customer care is non-existent. A very disappointing service which I will not be using again.
DESPITE THE COMPANY CLAIMING THAT SOMEONE WILL BE IN CONTACT (BELOW) - I AM STILL WAITING TO BE CONTACTED.

15 days after my last email, I finally had a response from Hoppa clarifying that the taxi was late to collect us, however they could only offer a partial refund. The service itself and the customer care is appalling.

Although we ve now eventually had a satisfactory resolution we d initially been left with a very bitter taste after they let us down on our return journey & offered an unsatisfactory initial response to our complaints.

Would probably still book but with caution in future.

We recently used Hoppa on our Holiday to Madeira and couldn't fault the service. The representative was waiting for us with an Envelope clearly marked with our name so we could easily pick him out. The ride from the airport to the hotel was smooth and completely uneventful. The driver arrived earlier than expected to pick us up but waited patiently whilst we checked out and again it was a very smooth and uneventful ride. We have used Hoppa several times before and we have already booked them for our next holiday to Tenerife. We would recommend them to anyone.

Arrived at Orlando airport and followed directions sent in the confirmation email but could not find our driver. Called contact number who were rude and petulant, their insistence to keep repeating that we were in the wrong place so it was our fault was entirely unhelpful. No matter how many times we said we were exactly where their directions had said to go no apology was issued she just kept repeating that we were in the wrong place and would not accept any responsibility for this, the phone call quickly descended into an extremely angry exchange where Natalie would not answer a simple question of where the driver was until she had yet again placed the blame for the mistake on us. We then had to walk to the other side of the airport where we had been told the driver was waiting to find no driver there as he had now wandered off into the terminal to find us. Eventually got onto the bus for it to drive straight over to where we were in the first place to collect another passenger. After a long flight and long wait to clear immigration the last thing we needed was to be asked inane questions because a call handler can't be bothered to check a booking to see what directions had been given or to listen when they are read out to her then to be sent on a wild goose chase around the airport when the driver was due to come straight over to where we started out.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If I could give Hoppa 0 stars then I would! We had pre booked 4 hoppa taxis in total for our stay in amsterdam through the travel agent.
One didn't show, another was 22 mins late and another was 54 minutes late. So only one out of 4 was on time. When we called the phone number provided by Hoppa to make sure one of our taxis would definitely show up, the man on the other end of the line was extremely cranky and rude.

Absolutely terrible my daughter paid for a service got to her destination and they stated to her that they did not go to that hotel even though it came up as an option!!! Most disappointing as it was her first trip away by herself. Staff was RUDE, would not speak English when referring to her even though they all spoke English and dismissed her at everything she said, they eventually told her that they cannot help her and that she should go and get taxi or train. I wanted her to get to her hotel safely and she ended up finding her own way there. I would not recommend this company at all!!

The driver was 30 mins late; insisted he was on time. He had no sign so we knew who he was. Then dropped us off around the corner from the hotel not in front. I was traveling with a 7 year old and infant. It wouldn t be an issue but it was after midnight. I went ahead and cancelled my return trip with your company. I had a great experience when I used it in Malta. Unfortunately I will use the other company I rebooked with.

Taxi to the hotel it was!

In again calling the emergency number, to ensure we are being collected from our hotel tmmr, the guy put the phone down when we asked where he was on the day of arrival!

Our advice is, do not use Hopper, book direct with a local company!

DO NOT USE HOPPA! You will be left stranded! We arrived at Paris CDG, followed the instructions and no one was there. After 20 minutes of calling, we finally reached someone who advised no one was available. We had to make our own transfer arrangements in a busy airport which significantly delayed us. We ended up having to pay again for our transfer and now we have to chase Hoppa for the refund.

This also happened on our return - again, no one turned up. Both times we had to pay.

Hoppa customer service (or lack of) won't help you. They have not offered a refund and I am having to chase this now.

This is a fraudulent operation - do not use!

My transfer did not show up at the airport even though I had print outs of my booking and confirmation with a booking reference number. The Hoppa representative said there was nothing he could do as my name was not on his list. I called Hoppa, no answer. I called the transfer company, no answer. It was 2300 and we were left stranded at the airport. Apparently there weren t any other transfers that they could put us on. We were forced to get a taxi costing 100. I emailed Hoppa the next day and they requested copies of the taxi receipt which I sent. I then heard nothing. After chasing them for weeks they replied that it was basically not their problem and would not be refunding me the taxi money. Disgusting customer service. Terrible company. Would never ever use again or recommend to anyone. Completely unreliable and do not provide the service you pay for. DO NOT EVER USE.

Never again!!!!!!!! Got our txt last night to say we would be picked up from resort 7.50am. We sat in reception from 7.30 till 8.50am. We rang hoppa twice and the hotel rang twice to be told the bus was on its way. Last time the hotel rang somebody hung up on them. Decided we had to get a taxi to the airport. Avoid using Hoppa at all costs. In spite of their booking system requesting flight details they do not use this to work out when you will actually arrive. We were late and were told they had no drivers available at Faro airport. In the end we took a taxi (there are always loads at the airport) and it was exactly the same cost! Why would you run the risk of losing your money when there is absolutely no benefit in pre booking with Hoppa.I am now being refused a refund as in their words they "provided the service i paid for" when i never actually got my transfer. I cannot recommend enough to AVOID this company!!

Awful experience with Hoppa for us too. Booked a car and they didn't show up. Waited 40 minutes, 3am in the morning, cold and rain, calling this awful customer service totally unreliable. Eventually Hoppa suggested us to call another company or a taxi. Last minute we paid a fortune and almost lost our flight. A bunch of liars. AVOID USING THIS COMPANY! Still waiting for a refund! Please do not use this company. None of my transfers turned up and the emergency numbers provided on my booking reference were non existent numbers. I even got the helpdesk to try calling on their phones and I also asked one of the French taxi drivers at the airport to try on his phone and he said it was an incorrect number. I could not find another number on the website to help with my enquiry so I was left with no other option than to get a 110 euro taxi to my accommodation and this was the same for my return journey. I tried to contact the company the following morning after my transfer did not arrive but they did not respond and left me again with no other option than to get a taxi back to the airport at another cost of 110 euros. Disgusted with this service from a well known company.

I have very mixed feelings about using Hoppa again...

I have very mixed feelings about using Hoppa again. We pre-booked a shared shuttle to and from Barcelona Airport.
We actually had a private cab from the airport and a shared car, with only one other customer, on the return journey. This was great.
The problem was with the communication.
We were told we would be met at the arranged pick up point, but that we may need to wait up to 45mins following this, to leave the airport. When we arrived there was nobody to greet us. We waited a while before phoning the local office. We were assured someone was on their way. We waited for 45mins and made a couple more phone calls before anyone appeared. Once they did it was a quick, straight forward, drive to our hotel.
We were expecting an email from the local company 24hrs before leaving to advise us of our pick up time. Despite emailing them to prompt them, this never happened. Our booking info said the office opened at 9am, so I phoned and waited in a queue for 10mins only to be rudely told to phone later as the office was closed. It opened at 10am.
We eventually got a pick up time and the taxi was prompt and driver lovely.
The lack of accurate information and poor communication meant this was much more stressful than it should be.

Ive used Hoppa for the past 3 years and never had an issue this was travelling to Egypt in 2015, and twice to Turkey. Service was first class so do not know what's happened this year to warrant bad reviews, but id always go back!

Generally easy to use, booked online for a transport from airport in Crete to my accommodations, easy to find- friendly staff and comfortable shuttle. However on the return, booked more than 24 hrs in advance, and no pick up time given. Had to call 3-4x to speak with someone who ultimately said the shuttle was not sourced and they will refund me. I would have never known unless I called, and have yet to receive my refund. Communication seems difficult when things aren t running smoothly.

The service received, particularly on the return journey and dealing with their local representatives at Palma airport was pretty awful but having given detailed feedback after our return it was dealt with in a suitable manner. Their Online Customer Experience Representative, Corne Volschenk picked up my review and acted on it without any further prompting or separate letters of complaint. My feedback was investigated, resulting in a refund of half our total cost! It was a shame the local company let us and Hoppa as agents down but at least the poor service was acknowledged and brought to the attention of the local company. The local company probably get away with their poor service enough because not enough people complain when they should.

Anyway, many thanks to Corne Volschenk for the assistance.

DREADFUL welcome @ Tenerife, poor service. rude staff, no refund when the bus didn't show up. Vague instructions re. where to stand and wait - all a bit disconcerting. A friend said that the drivers are dangerous and go too fast. Arrived back in UK and tried to contact Hoppa - I was denied a review on their website (they only seem to allow positive reviews) and it appears there no refund policy when people are extremely dissatisfied. . AVOID this company at all costs, they really have no idea how to treat people.

Booked from Disneyland Paris to Gare du Nord, 3 days before my scheduled travel date. The website gave me cheap price and sent me a couple of confirmation emails, one of them 36 hrs before the travel time. Just TWO hours before the travel time, they called me and cancelled! I asked for an alternative way to travel and they said they are sorry they can't help, apologised and said they'll refund. I told him you can't cancel just two hours before - at least give me 24 hours, he said they are sorry! My guess it's all because of the cheap price, it might have been a mistake and they simply want to getaway with that - they should have honoured the booking, especially they sent TWO confirmation emails. My 1st and last experience with them. Don't recommend at all.

My private car transfer in the Algarve to Faro airport was cancelled 10 minutes before pick up.
I was advised to get a taxi and claim back from Hoppa. I hope my taxi charge of 75 will be claimed back. 24 hours later I still haven't heard but let's hope I will.

This isn't the first issue I've had with Hoppa. Last year I booked a transfer at LPA three days before arrival and was cancelled 24 hours before arriving. As someone who works in the travel industry myself, I am strongly advising anyone NOT to use this Company.

I booked a transfer for my party from a hotel in Lloret de Mar to the city centre of Barcelona, however, upon completion of the order I found that the system had reversed the order to now say that the transfer was from Barcelona to Lloret de Mar. This was wrong and I had triple checked to make sure that the order was correct before completing it as this exact same problem happened to my friend who had previously tried to book the same transfer.

Furthermore, upon clicking upon the 'My Bookings' and then the 'Check Pick Up Time', it stated that my pick up time and location was from Lloret de Mar however on the official receipt, it stated the wrong transfer of being picked up from Barcelona. (I have video proof of this contradiction) Also, further down on the receipt it stated that the trip was from Lloret de Mar to Barcelona - so there was obviously a systems failure that accidentally reversed the order.



Upon checking my bank account, I have been charged the 25% cancellation fee and all of my concerns have been ignored. So I have personally lost out on a lot of money all down to a technical glitch in the system.

Stay away from this company as this could happen to you.

Honestly the worst transfer business to use. Transfers are late. I have had a bad experience the last few time (not just once) of using them. Customer service reps sound like they don't care and are extremely unhelpful. I would advise other customers to look elsewhere, there are plenty of other companies who provide a much more professional service and have a much better customer service team too. Take your business elsewhere so companies like this stop existing or start improving.

I booked with Hoppa on Sunday night. Got an email the next morning saying I had booked the incorrect location that wasn t on their route but when I started typing the location in and it came up for me to select, so I was informed I have to cancel my booking and rebook. I did so and thought everything was fine. I then received the same email the next morning to cancel my booking and rebook. I then emailed and enquired about this and it turns out it was a mistake on the website on Hoppa s behalf, not mine and that the driver would still take us to the location chosen. I am absoultey outraged at this as I have now paid double the money for this transfer that I am not even sure will turn up for me. In the morning when the website is back working I will be cancelling my booking due to the lack of basic customer service in helping me resolve this problem. I also hope you will be in touch to advise me that my full refund for both bookings will be put back into my account immediately or I will be taking this further. The service I have received is shocking and lack of basic communication is unbelievable.

I regularly use hoppa for airport transfers. Just back from a few days away in Marbella where I again used hoppa for my transfers. Seamless from start to finish. The driver was waiting in the arrivals hall with a card and we were transferred Super Fast tomour hotel. Coming back the driver was 10 minutes early which was brilliant and he knew our airline and he even advised what check out desk we nededed to.go to and he even dropped us at the door directly outside the check in desk. I can not recommended hoppa enough for transfers. 11/10

Excellent service. My partner booked hoppa for a round trip from Orlando(MCO) to our guest accommodation some 45 minutes away. Our flight was delayed by 2 hours, because of the bad weather,but on arrival our driver was waiting for us. He was very friendly and helpful. On the return leg we had a minor hiccup, (our scheduled pick up vehicle was "rear ended " on route to us. We were immediately informed by phone and alternative arrangements were made and personally resolved at the airport. We were kept updated by further phone calls. The is the first time we have used hoppa but we will definitely use them again and highly recommend them to other travellers. Travel easy and just hop on a hoppa!
