My friend booked Hoppa to pick myself, my elderly mother and 4 year old from Barcelona airport on Monday 23rd July. Hoppa was not there when we arrived. The airport staff tried ringing Hoppa but there was no answer. My mother uses a walking stick so after much wasted time we got a taxi. I tried contacting Hoppa later by phone but was unsuccessful. I managed to get confirmation from an automated message that my return pick up (25th) was still booked. No idea what happened on the Monday, even to this day. My friend even tried to contact them back in the UK to find out what happened. On Wednesday there was a taxi strike. Considering the disaster on Monday the hotel receptionist tried contacting Hoppa's Spanish resort by phone to confirm they were coming that evening. Again no reply. It took me over 3 hours to sort out alternative transport because of the taxi strike. We should have been affected by the strike because of the Hoppa booking. The reality was they let us down on Monday. I feared the same would happen again on the Wednesday. We could afford to miss out flights. What a waste of money. The communication was poor. It was a stressful experience.
