Smoke filled restaurant. Couldn't enjoy my meal. You can't take your food out of the nasty smoke filled room. Service was decent as was the food. Drink specials are good. Much more a bar than a restaurant.

My favorite restaurant and bar in Lubbock. The environment was laid back. The food was amazing and the staff and patrons were so dog gone friendly that its my go to lunch place when we travel to Lubbock for doctors or shopping... Love me some Jake's...

Love the concerts they get in here. Just gets too hot and ots hard to get drink when they habe a concert. I still go cuz it's worth it. Always have a happy friendly staff.

Great live music! I love going on Friday nights and listening to the Darren Welch Group with my boyfriend and friends. Also, the waitresses are always attentive and the beer is cold!

Great food, great drinks and friendly atmosphere. The only negative thing I would say about the place is it's not smoke free so you leave smelling like cigarettes. I would have given it 5 stars otherwise.

We went there for a concert at Jake's Backroom. The staff in the bar section was very friendly and the prices were fair. The backroom isn't a huge area, but the acoustics were good enough to hear and understand the bands clearly. It's not a 5 star place but its definitely worth 4 stars.

The concert room is tiny with 0 ventilation. No fans no windows.You're just breathing in other people's B.O and sweating on eachother the whole time. Hard to enjoy anything like that.

Cheap beer, remarkably good food, and usually live music. A staple in the live music scene with some big names coming through.

The drinks were cheap and good, the food was affordable but meh. There were babies at the bar?? Maybe that's a normal thing here...And it's a smoking bar, fyi. Good place to watch a game with some buddies.

I've only ever been there for concerts. The staff is efficient and the drinks are reasonably priced.

Bartenders are rude, Thier is alot of potential but bartenders are rude. Most of the bartenders are drunk and on coccain. Glasses are dirty. The tap beer is flat and water down.

Great place to go sit and have a few shots. Not too big on concerts there but great none the less

Great food hard working staff it's a great place to bring family and that's what the people and workers treat you I try to go twice a week or more for the best burger and fries in town and they accept my service dog to be there with me the girls spoil him and he loves they're french fries

Possibly the best place to go to play a few games of pool by yourself. The atmosphere and the people are great.

Was visiting from North Carolina where it is illegal to smoke in a bar or restaurant. My friends and I were hit by a cloud of cigarette smoke as soon as we opened the door to walk in. Gross! I didn't order food because the smoke was too overwhelming. Service was slow. The only positive thing I can say about this place was the drink specials were well priced.

The Margarita was not great and the loaded nachos were terrible and too expensive for stale refried beans and just a little bit of beef.

Service was terrible and didn't have college football on even tho its a "sports bar".

Went to the back room for a wrestling event. Beer an drinks where expensive. For 2 beers an two Malibu an cokes it was 20+ dollars before tipping. Will not be buying anymore adult beverages from here. Food is good an priced ok for what you get.

Look I want to be here and I am but who ever the man was who was at the back room dooing wristbands and IDs for 1.29.19 at 7:38pm made me want to turn around and take my four friends I was bringing with me anywhere but here. Like I said though I'm still here but disappointed.

I usually don t leave reviews, but I went in for breakfast this morning and it was outstanding. I got the chicken fried steak and it was the best that I ve had in years hands down. Service was prompt and professional. Couldn t have asked for a better experience.

Great place to watch the Cowboys. Mens room needs attention. It's filthy. Management needs to get off their Azz and get it cleaned up ASAP. My girlfriend says the ladies room is very clean. That's great. Clean the men's room Manager, clean the men's room

Really relaxed atmosphere, and the food is surprisingly good. Keep an eye out on the events in the backroom, they can be fun, but if you're not there for that the traffic can be distracting.

Im not sure that I would even give it one star. My sister and I walked in to have a drink and possibly an appetizer but to our dismay people were being allowed to smoke in a very unventilated and very unwelcomed area, the dining area. If food is being served ...smoking should not be allowed. We had to leave because my throat couldnt take the close proximity of the cigarette smoke. So a very bad experience.

Im really not happy with this place! Me and my boyfriend showed up here on friday, it was my birthday celebration and we were waiting on several more gusts. We showed up early and must have been waiting atleast 15 minutes watching the waitresses serve other tables! We even tried to wave one down, the place wasn't even busy mostly empty. A group of 4 walked in sat a couple tables away from us and the waitress who walked past us like 4 times once again walked past us to get to them to help them!!! One of our party guest showed up and it was then that we decided to leave almost 20 minutes at this place and no service at all, even when we tried multiple times to get their attention! We left contacted all our party guest and told them to meet us at Cujos. As soon as we got to Cujos we got served right away I got a free birthday shot!!! It was great love cujos and wont go back to jakes backroom!

Great shows and music venue but the restaurant side ...terrible took 30 min to get food everything we ordered they came back n didn't have I will continue to go to concerts but never again eat there. No refills until we left

I am a patient guy for sure. I was waiting to take my ASVAB for the Air Force and decided to grab a beer and some fries before. My first XX bottle downed ever @Jakes. Thanks Kimberly! Keep wearing that red lip stick Hun, it really catches an eye! Service was not horrible by any means but I am a patient person so....

Love this place on the norm... aor conditioning is out right now. Not great in West Texas in August...
