As a whole the service is quite positive. Fair prices and usually quite fast delivery however when something goes wrong it can be a nightmare to fix. Not entirely sure if it depends on who picks up the call but waiting 30 mins to get through to someone in the first place isn't ideal. I've had very mixed experiences, ordered multiple items and some were missing and had to chase endlessly to get it sorted. other times I've had issues and they were resolved in a matter of minutes with replacement items sent out on next day shipment. It is a bit of a lucky dip as to what service to expect from them unfortunately.

Slow on everything the do if you need something in a rush or pandemic or Christmas or anything else dont bother the will take a week plus to dispatch then magic it gets lost in post 14 days plus before anything is done about it oh then no stock so you then got to wait for a refund

Ordered a new power supply and 5 hard drives for a new NAS build which arrived in a timely manner. Two of the hard drives were the Western digital Red SMR variant so unsuitable for my needs. Contacted customer services who raised an RMA for the drives and a courier turned up the next day to collect them.
My PayPal account was credited a few days later.
My first time using Ebuyer and although they're a bit slow which I'm attributing to Covid-19 they did everything right in the end.

the sweetness of a cheap price is soon soured from the poor service. they say you get what you pay for, in this instance the cheap prices are reflected in the worst customer service I've had for a long time, we've given up using ebuyer now due to the continual frustration of: a) not being able to get a response from them quickly, b) continual late delivery, c) quite simply unhelpful and when you do get through to someone they always need to refer it to another department. most dissatisfied. shame as we used to buy all our monitors and office peripherals from them.

This was my first experience with this company, and I m sorry to say I m extremely disappointed and frustrated to say the least, I purchased a hob for next day delivery which didn t arrive, so after contacting customer services , I was told I need to wait for there supplier to call me, after 3 days and several calls to customer services I finally get a call from the supplier to tell me the item is not in stock and is discontinued, and to contact ebuyer for a refund. I ve now called them 3 times to process my refund , only to be told I now have to wait for confirmation from there supplier that the item isn t available!!! Really !! Last call I was told to expect an email sometime next week to confirm the refund process will be started and then once completed with take 3-5 working days , WARNING. This company knowingly take your money without any knowledge of there own stock , and do all they can not to refund you !!!!

Ordered a hp laptop on the Friday but only saw the email they sent me on Saturday. It said my address did not match my bank account,tried to ring them but they close at the weekend.Rang them first thing Monday after checking with my bank who confirmed my address had been the same for 30 years,ebuyer would not dispatch my item until I sent Them a copy of my bank statement.!!!?. I gave in, provided the statement and received my item at 1pm Tuesday. Within 1/2 hour I had a frozen black screen rang them and after 3/4 hot it started working ok again fo 15 mins then it disconnected from WiFi. Rang ebuyer who said I had to ring HP to get an authorised return which I did.It is the retailers responsibility to refund faulty goods and in all I have spent 5 hours on the phone rectifying their faulty system and faulty goods. A very poor first and last experience

I was looking for a new wifi mesh system for home use buy couldn't justify the extortionate price. I found the model I wanted, and as part of my research was pleased to find ebuyer was selling an ex demo in my price range. I called and enquired, and satisfied with my enquiries I bought online. Couldn't fault the ordering process and delivery was prompt. Item arrived in good condition, however, I encountered issues configuring on my home network. I am not an IT professional, but would say I have good IT knowledge and having done various similar things before. After a couple of hours of not being able to access the router dashboard as it would not accept the default login credentials in the box, it dawned on me that the item had not been factory reset. I duly completed a factory reset of the entire unit and the system then accepted the default logins. Sadly, the only explanation for this is that the item I purchased was not an ex display, but probably a return, and not tested, but subsequently boxed and sent out. I brought this to ebuyers attention and whilst the front line staff agreed its poor, would not compensate me for my wasted or time, or as a gesture of good will improve on the shortened warranty of just 60 days. The message here is, beware of buying ex display from ebuyer as they will more than likely not be ex display, but instead a customer return. They will not be tested or factory resent, but instead boxed and ready to sell on again. Only time will tell if my unit is fit for purpose. Its a disappointing level of customer care that has been shown here.

I sent them an eNote - a waste of time - they rarely responded in a timely manner and they never could explain what was happening - just that they were waiting to hear back from the warehouse. Found the item cheaper on OneDirect!

How's that for customer service... Purchased a HP laptop back in Dec 2017 service was prompt and efficient. Laptop screen packed up in July this year (2018) so contacted HP who have arranged to collect and fix under warranty. I couldn't find any details (e-mails, invoice or order number) Contacted Ebuyer on the pop up help screen and within 2 minutes I had copies of all I needed. Thank you Laura C for excellent customer service.

If you do, eBuyer uses it to deny basic rights to you as a result.
Trade or business accounts carry no benefit with this company, prices are identical to consumer prices.
But consumers have more rights - recently I tried to return a laptop because it was unusually dim - eBuyer would not have, since it was purchased under a business account.

Ordered from ebuyer and paid for one-day delivery. Stayed at home for the entire 14 hour delivery window and it didn't arrive; no one knocked at my door and I didn't receive a "failed delivery" card. Arrived next day. Asked for a refund on the one day delivery charge and ebuyer refused, claiming that I wasn't at home when they attempted to deliver on the first day.

Boss just ordered some computer parts and paid for pre-12:30pm-next-day delivery. Order still hasn't arrived.

Don't bother ordering from ebuyer if you value your time, they certainly don't.

Not impressed. Ordered a Samsung 860 1TB SSD and really needed next day so paid for expedited delivery.

I didn't find an order update stating "Out for delivery" etc on the day of deliver so I became concerned.

I contacted ebuyer twice during the day and on both occasions they absolutely categorical promised that the item would be delivered on time. They blamed a computer malfunction and stated they could not provide me with a tracking number, but assured me the item was out for delivery.

Surely enough the item did not arrive by 18:00.

I was informed during my 3rd call that they were sorry and that it would take an extra day.

I made a complaint and was offered a refund on the delivery charge which they owed me anyway. They presented the offer as if it were a favour. I asked them if they could do anything on top of that. The answer was no.

I asked them to cancel the order as I would be out that day and didn't want the courier leaving the parcel with a neighbour. I already wasted a day of my life waiting for the thing to turn up. Another trip to the post office was the last thing I needed.

The call agent stated that they were unable to inform the courier of the cancellation as they didn't have an outbound line or any way of escalating the problem to manager to make the call.

Seriously? How difficult is it to pick up the phone and call the courier.

It is such a shame that they couldn't be bothered to rectify their mistake, or offer any compensation.

Ebuyer have been a fantastic company in the past. WHAT HAPPENED?

I would imagine it will not be long before they are trampled into the ground by large American corporations that can deliver excellent customer service.

Shame on you ebuyer!

Absolutely diabolical customer service, I ordered a case that arrived damaged and against the Consumer Rights Act 2015, I had to purchase a new case leaving me out of pocket, I then had to return the case at my own expense, they have now had the case back for over 48 hours and I have yet to see the refund.


Do yourselves a huge favor and steer well clear, because if you have any issues you are right out of luck and they will just say "that's in our terms and conditions"

it's a shame you cant give zero stars, if you could, I think their rating would be below one star

Update: Kat, you always ask for details so it looks like ebuyer want to help, but behind the scenes when you have the details, it is your standard response to say sorry but that's in our terms and conditions

Decided to buy an xbox one from ebuyer simply because they offered a quicker delivery service than other retailers, for the same price.

The evening before the expected delivery date (at 18:47pm, after store closing times) I recieved an email saying that my order had been put on hold for 48 hours for a security check. The email said I had to ring customer service within the 48 hours or the order would be cancelled. Well guess what, tried to ring customer service and the bloody line is closed because I wasnt notified of this "security check" until after closing hours. The delivery now wont come when I'd paid for it to come and I wont be able to call customer service until tomorrow (when it was supposed to be arriving).

No other retailer has to do these "security checks". Why should ebuyer?

Will never be buying from ebuyer again and will likely be cancelling my order asking for a refund. I'll make sure my friends never make the same mistake, too.

I have shopped with Ebuyer for many years, purchased many PC components and other electronics. I am pleased to report a good experience every time. Even if there has been a problem it was resolved efficiently. Not sure why so many people are winging about Ebuyer these days, cant see any justification for some of their complaints.

Terrible company to deal with, no concern for customer service.
I should have learned my lesson as back in April when I had a really bad experience with Ebuyer. I ordered from them again last Thursday as they had the item I wanted at a good price, as I was going away for a couple of days I opted for the within 5 working day delivery. The 5 working day delivery should have been today but as of last night my order had not been processed, if fact it had not changed in 6 days. I had to ring ebuyer who assured me that the item would definitely arrive with me today. Well I am sat writing this after waiting all day for the item which is not arriving!

What has really annoyed me is that Ebuyer have had my money for over a week now, the item was in stock at the time of ordering so why have they not processed the order and shipped it sooner than the last day before they said it would arrive, especially as they use Yodel which are a renowned for their poor service and unreliability. It really is a poor service. I cannot understand why they would chose to wait until the day before the item is due to send it as the service they are having to use is a next day service and you would assume an expensive way of sending items.

No one can tell me why the parcel hasn't arrived or when it will be with me so more wasted time and money waiting in.

I ended up dealing with Scott who monitors reviews, he stopped the delivery as i had decided to buy from Amazon, and i have now received a refund for the item

Absolute joke of a company they have no idea how to update their customers on the orders made. Pre ordered a ps5 back in early september, to be told that pre orders do not guarantee stock via a Twitter message which frankly why else would we pre order?? Not to mention they claim to have over estimated how much stock they have and also havent even received the ps5 yet. How can every other company seem to have some kind of idea about their stock and are actually on time in sending out product but ebuyer seem to be the only ones that havent got a clue?? They also will hang up or flat out ignore you if you ask about the order you have purchased whether its late in arrival or not. Please save yourself a headache and do not buy from this company. My partner has also purchased a graphics card 3 months ago now which he has yet to receive. Neither of us can cancel our orders meaning we have no product and no refund.

2nd Review - I would put 0 Stars if I could

Let me start off buying also saying among the other reviews, NEVER buy from this website. Not only was I appalled with the customer service at the start of my RMA of my GPU, the customer service after they failed to find a fault and refused to replace my product under consumer rights was abysmal. It takes minimum of 3 days to get a reply from the "Resolution adviser" which makes the problem drag out much longer than it should, knowing its now been 3 weeks since I brought up the issue with Ebuyer. As well as this, they do not acknowledge or properly read any of your emails and always says the same thing over and over again as if they are trying to stall the problem at hand, it takes me having to contact them through their enotes system and ringing them up to ask for the person to reply because it has been so long of waiting for a reply.

As well as providing them with proof with the fault after they sent it back, they attempted to tell me that theirs something wrong with my other PC components EVEN KNOW I SPENT 2 WEEKS WITH A DIFFERENT GPU WITH NO PROBLEMS AT ALL.

It has gone to lengths of me having to talk to citizens advice which make a case with trading standards explaining the problem, which have informed me that everything they are doing is wrong and I should have been given a replacement and that their customer service is appalling, as well as breaking consumer rights in the process. I have also sent a letter before claims to Ebuyer in which they COMPLETELY ignored and did not acknowledge at all, I currently have a pre-written court claim order which I am ready to submit if a satisfactory conclusion isn't made within the week, the fact they failed to even acknowledge it was awful and they idea of me likely winning it is very high, since this is not the first time it has happened in this way with another customer.

Never, and I mean never buy from Ebuyer, even if the prices they offer look good, they probably do this so it makes up for their very poor service as a consumer when it comes to fulfilling consumer rights and handling customer service.

Avoid at all costs, and if you still need to order with this outfit..do not use their late order. On several occasions I have been lied to and let down claiming that 'security checks' or other issues meant the next day delivery was not honoured. They had taken the money well before their cut off point for orders yet lied and claimed they hadn't. Customer service do not care and talk to you like dirt.

An absolutely disgusting buying experience. Being tech savvy I have been an early adopter of online shopping and have been purchasing online for more than 15 years. Never in all my years have I come across a seller like this. To give you some context: I have been using Ebuyer now for over 5 years for both personal and business PC equipment purchases using the same payment method and set of shipping/billing addresses rotating between my work premises, home and my brother's home. This last order I placed got flagged for security. I have no idea what the criteria for this initial flagging were but apparently, it was the order value. I have placed higher value orders before. Their fraud prevention team asked for ID and proof of address. I supplied my Driving Licence and Bank Statements. But as this order was placed for shipping to my brother's I had used his address for billing too by mistake. Hence they didn't accept my bank statements as proof of address. Fair enough. I supplied my passport as well as a letter under my own name with brother's address on from a service I had not updated my address with to show Ebuyer my connection to that address. They did not accept this. Reverted back to asking me for another bank statement knowing very well that I live at another address. I supplied this 2nd bank statement. They rejected this stating they need a bank statement from my brother's address even if it is not under my name, they wanted anyone's statement but had to be under that address. I initially objected due to a clear breach of GDPR by Ebuyer asking for the personal information of a third party they do not know. Still, I spoke to my brother and he agreed to supply his statements. They rejected these and closed my 5-year-old account stating these statements needed to be under my name! An absolute waste of 3 days chasing these cowboys for something I had paid for and simply wanted it delivered to a family member's address as I live in shared accommodation. Abbie and Jade in their customer service department, although very polite, were completely apathetic. Tracey, their Fraud Prevention team member was downright incompetent as anyone with half a brain in her position could tell there was nothing fraudulent here with an existing old customer of theirs placing an order using the same details used in the past for which previously no 'fraud' alarm was raised by any of the stakeholders involved.

Used to be a great company, but they use Yodel for delivery now which has tarnished the busineess. Paid for next Day Saturday delivery and Yodel didnt even put it on a van to be delivered.

Getting through to a customer service agent on the phone takes atleast 45 mins!

Don't be fooled by their reply to this review, they contacted me and basically said there is nouthing they can do... very poor customer service

Don't use this company if you want anything delivered on a certain date, they use Yodel - literally the worst courier service in the country, they'll lose your parcel, their customer service agents are abusive and unhelpful, and the present you bought won't get there in time for the birthday.

Slightly more positive note (and the only reason they have that second star) the customer service team at ebuyer are actually okay, they refunded me the carriage but couldn't really help otherwise - just a shame they aren't open at all on the weekends.

If you're going to buy from ebuyer, request that they do not send your parcel with Yodel.

Excellent company gone bad. Had been using this company for all my business and personal supplies since 2003. In the last few months things have gone bad big style. Problems with orders suddenly being out of stock on the day of despatch to the most recent receiving completely the wrong items. Informed them same day and more than a week later finally hear they are sending courier to collect....but i have lost a customer. I spent a lot of money with this company over the last 16 years but no more. Finally found i can order all items i need from Amazon same prices with FREE next day delivery, and if a mistake is made, no problems with refund or replace, and thats worth a lot to a small business. Customer service needs improvement, often going several days before replying to queries or questions. Not good enough. If you complain they fob off and give you a standard response, thats if you get one. Avoid. Oh, and they use Yodel......

*edit 2* if there was any doubt for not doing business with Ebuyer it continues into shady business activities. I was successful in my claim against Ebuyer, however, there was a request for the tracking information for the return. I have requested the tracking information over 3 times from my 'case handler' and each time it has been ignored with the hopes I could not submit this information. Absolutely disgraceful business practice and the company should be appalled at this! I was happy to work with you to facilitate a return and instead of trying to help - each time there has been contact it seems to have been intended to cause greater issues. Ebuyer may be celebrating 20 years this year but I will be amazed if it ever makes it to 30!

*edit* got a response from Ebuyer telling me they want to resolve it, they haven t responded and seem to be continuing to ignore me, they even closed the associated account so I can t return the items.

Fairly disappointed, I decided to use Ebuyer instead of amazon for once, thinking perhaps they have improved since I last used them in 2010. I was wrong.

I got sent a faulty B450 Tomahawk and Ryzen 3600, I found the faults within the day of delivery and spent an entire bank holiday weekend trying to diagnose the issue, even to the point of contact Microsoft who agreed there was a hardware fault.

So I essentially wasted an entire bank holiday weekend trying to figure out the fault and problems before I could get through to Ebuyer. When I finally get through to them I m told that the item can be returned but may be returned back because it s policy - well that is a terrible policy. If you send someone a faulty item/s a customer is perfectly within their right to return for a full refund.

I can t help but feel they re trying to waste time for a matter that s rather urgent, like many I need a PC for work and a turnaround of 10 days isn t good enough.

All my business will be going straight back to amazon and I highly doubt I ll return. Chargeback and PayPal case is open too - when you bother to respond.

Paid extra for Saturday delivery, it is now 2pm Saturday and it still "awaiting dispatch" no live chat functionality and their call centre is closed weekends. Poor service from such a large company.

Update: Its now Sunday and still says "awaiting dispatch"

Update 2: Monday afternoon still no sign, ive now been waiting 1 hour for their customer service to answer!

Edit 2 - Ebuyer phoned me after my initial edit of review. They apogised and have refunded me the cost of delivery. It seems ebuyer have done a good job, it's just a she that courier company they are using cut corners. My TV is working fine and received no damage. Hopefully ebuyer can take this up with their chosen courier and emphasize that this should not happen to any future customers. Thanks ebuyer team for resolving this.

Edit - I have changed review from 5 stars to 2, this is because I payed for a 2 person specialist delivery, and the item was delivered by a one person, who was incapable of handling a 55 inch TV by himself. I contacted ebuyer and asked for my delivery charge to be refunded but have not heard back regarding this. The item I got is good and working and was packaged really well, if it was not for this the TV would have been damaged due to terrible delivery company they use. Also the 1 hour delivery slot provided is completely false as my item arrived over 2 hours after the specified time.

Ordered a TV, I'm leaving a review before actually recieving it because the customer service I received was excellent.

I spoke to a member of staff by the name of Cheryl that answered all my queries and helped me reschedule a delivery. I was even called back as a courtesy with an update of what was going on.

If the product I ordered is half as good as the service of staff then I'm on a win win.

If you want quick delivery fine however for returns it is poor.
I had a PC with the multiple problems, their resolution process is very slow, communications are poor, they make commitments that they don't keep and their seems to be no commutation between departments.
I spent 50+ hours personally trying to resolve issues and in the end could only get my money back after they tried (and failed) to repair the PC.

I've used Ebuyer for PC components since 2005 with nothing to complain about, but am unlikely to continue after an ongoing bad experience.

I ordered a motherboard and CPU bundle, but only received the motherboard part. Explaining this on their eNote system, I eventually received the replacement order a week later (stuck in the warehouse?), but it was another motherboard! A 2nd eNote and email has yet to be replied to after a week of waiting.

Left with a dead computer, I've had to buy the CPU elsewhere in the meantime, so now face the unenviable task of trying to send back one part of a bundle and get a refund for the missing part. Whatever you do, don't order the bundled items!

Throughout all of this, communication from customer services has been incredibly slow/non-existent, although polite. Even if it's bad news ("your item is out of stock" or "we're short-staffed at the moment"), any sort of communication with the customer is going to be appreciated.

Placed an order for next day delivery and it never arrived. Called customer service and they say it should be with me and to wait for the following day. Following day comes, no delivery so I call them again and they say it should be arriving but they have no tracking and are unsure and that I should wait for several more days and it will be delivered when it is delivered....what is the point of paying for next day delivery when your customer service team nor couriers have any idea of when an item will be delivered

This outfit has to be viewed with some scepticism.
1. Their price match promise is not worth anything. They will use any/all the exclusion clauses to get out of honouring this, e.g. supplier who will do direct business in UK (web) but are foreign based. Even if you do get a refund, it is just a glorified credit note valid for 3 months against their items.
2. Watch out for product descriptions and prices on the headline lists as they are often descriptions that apply to similar but cheaper products from a supplier. Always go deeper into the product descriptions to ensure you are getting what you think you are!
3. Their couriers (Yodel) as I have seen from others, is not the best. They can perform but paying extra is no guarantee of good service. Paying for fast delivery, items were lost for nearly a week.

Diabolical service. I swore last time that i wouid never use Ebuyer again after taking almost a week to deliver something that i paid next day carriage for. But its been several years and things change.
I should have stuck to my guns and not used them. Three times now i have paid for next day delivery from Ebuyer and not received anything on time.
Laughably whist on hold i was informed 'you can order up to 11pm for next day delivery' I hate to think where too, i only live 40 minutes away from their main warehouse and they cant manage it to here.
The customer service rep was very helpful and gave me a tracking number though apparently there had 'been a problem' How can there have been a problem, they sent me an email the day after my order saying it had been dispatched.
In the same time period i have ordered and received items from CA. in the USA to good old GB through customs. More than 3000 miles.
So far im 72hours in and have seen nothing from Ebuyer.
Im sorry its just not good enough.

My experience with Ebuyer is mixed, Order processing and delivery speed: 1 star , handling complaints and answering emails: 2 star, answering calls and their representative knowledge: 5 star, Their product is 5 star Price: 5 star.
My solely advice to you for a company: Please hire more staff for email handling, use dpd instead of yodell!, Even if you ahve to slightly increse postage fees is worth it trust me. And even if your payroll will go a bit higher because you hire more staff to handle complaints it will pay off.
Also a suggestion, Would reduce ex display prices and would increase its guarantee time too. Hope your boss wil consider reading my review and will think ahead. Keep it up

Trying to keep this brief. Ebuyer simply has the worst customer service I have come across. The following review contains nothing but facts (you can make your own mind up).

Placed an order on ebuyer for an additional 8gb of corsair vengence RAM, the order went through just fine. First problem arises - the tracking number for delivery provided didn't work and I had to contact ebuyer to get the correct tracking number.

They use Yodal for delivery who are notoriously bad anyway. I checked my tracking on the delivery day at around 3pm to find that Yodal supposedly tried to deliver 2 hours earlier and had left a card. I had the product delivered to my business address knowing I would be there all day. Yodal had obviously not tried to deliver. i contacted Ebuyer who said I needed to contact Yodal as it was their problem. So I did. Yodal service was surprisingly good, they told me the delivery driver had made a mistake and the GPS puts him no where near the correct address. They adreed to arrange redelivery to my home address for the following day but I would need to contact ebuyer to get a refund of the next day delivery fee I had paid.

I contacted ebuyer and explained what had happened. At this point the lady I was in contact with told me she would need to contact Yodal to find out exactly what they had said to me as THEIR tracking showed the delivery driver at my exact location. A little while later she came back and agreed to refund my delivery cost but told me very sternly that Yodal were breaking their contract in agreeing to get my parcel to me at a different address. This argument went on over several emails. Ebuyer informed me that they had stopped the delivery, and it was either my business address or nothing. I wasn't going to be at my business address for a few days so asked them to arrange for Yodal to return the parcel to Ebuyer instead and I asked for a refund.

I was told again very harshly and sternly that Ebuyer would not be refunding me until they have recieved the returned item. Again this argument went on for several emails where I tried to explain that the item had never even reached me, it was now on the way back to them because they refused to allow Yodal to deliver to me and that I wanted my money back. The final email I got from Ebuyer stated very clearly 'We will not be refunding you'

Fast forward several days - still no refund from Ebuyer.

My opinion - Ebuyer do not deserve my custom and certainly don't deserve yours. Their customer serve is terrible and their policy of stopping couriers from actually delivering their products it's mindboggling. I'll be shopping elsewere from now on.

Buying from here is like russian roulette . as someone has already pointed out. great when things go right, and you don't end up with any issues with the products that you buy. If you're unlucky enough to get an issue with something, be prepared to pull any hair out that you have, and buy yourself a punch bag because they are the most frustrating awkward uninterested company, on par with vodafone that i have ever had the mis pleasure of dealing with. and 2.9 on google reviews should really tell you all you need to know, wish i had read some of the reviews before i bought from them. You may pay a bit more from scan, but the service more than makes up for it

Do not use. Customer service is awful, took that long to respond to my request for a order to be cancelled that the order had been delivered. Even went as far to lock my account with them when I was forced to contact paypal in order to get them to respond to my enquiries. Save yourself the hassle and use a worth while retailer.
