Not impressed. Ordered a Samsung 860 1TB SSD and really needed next day so paid for expedited delivery.
I didn't find an order update stating "Out for delivery" etc on the day of deliver so I became concerned.
I contacted ebuyer twice during the day and on both occasions they absolutely categorical promised that the item would be delivered on time. They blamed a computer malfunction and stated they could not provide me with a tracking number, but assured me the item was out for delivery.
Surely enough the item did not arrive by 18:00.
I was informed during my 3rd call that they were sorry and that it would take an extra day.
I made a complaint and was offered a refund on the delivery charge which they owed me anyway. They presented the offer as if it were a favour. I asked them if they could do anything on top of that. The answer was no.
I asked them to cancel the order as I would be out that day and didn't want the courier leaving the parcel with a neighbour. I already wasted a day of my life waiting for the thing to turn up. Another trip to the post office was the last thing I needed.
The call agent stated that they were unable to inform the courier of the cancellation as they didn't have an outbound line or any way of escalating the problem to manager to make the call.
Seriously? How difficult is it to pick up the phone and call the courier.
It is such a shame that they couldn't be bothered to rectify their mistake, or offer any compensation.
Ebuyer have been a fantastic company in the past. WHAT HAPPENED?
I would imagine it will not be long before they are trampled into the ground by large American corporations that can deliver excellent customer service.
Shame on you ebuyer!
