Got a recommendation that London Vision Clinic is the best at what it does - so glad I took that advice because it's absolutely true. My eyes were worse than most (-8.0 and -8.5), but did the ReLEx SMILE procedure with Dr. Dan Reinstein. It's been about 4 months since I did the procedure and my eyes are doing great. Most of all what I thought was outstanding was that the team is really warm and professional! They know their stuff, they know you're nervous, and they do everything they can to make the process as easy and comfortable for you. 12/10

I have just finished my 3 month post-operative review to find my eye sight is better than 20/20 in both eyes. From the moment you set foot into the clinic You're made to feel like everybody is there to facilitate your own, bespoke treatment.
Even though the clinic is a highly succesful and a busy one, you will be made to feel as though you're their only client.
My procedure was absolutely painless and I felt absolutely no discomfort at all during the healing process.
Completely thrilled with results, every day I wake up feeling grateful that I can see. I was a -8.5 before, and am 20/20 now. Everything is explained so well and I had total trust in Dr Dan despite some initial anxieties about the process. It's been life changing being able to see in the shower and not get tired eyes from wearing glasses or contacts. Highly recommend.
Disappointed from the initial contact, where we submitted our local Clinical findings, they were not able to provide any guidance, if we were even possibly eligible. As we are international, and had to arrange travel, we didn t want to waste our time if not eligible for surgery. PCC called pass midnight local time (3am MST 10am UK)we indicated our location and time zone. After deposit was made, questions regarding OTC were deferred and not answered, were told to talk to the Optometrist. With international travel, this may have caused ineligibility for surgery. Due to tight scheduling between consultation and surgery. Expect schedule to change with short notice. PCC was changed out without prior notice while we were waiting in the reception room. Information on what to expect for examinations/scans and what they do would be nice, prior to arrival all we were told was to bring sunglasses as there will be dilation Forms package, was missing documents, and signatures were demanded prior to discussion with Surgeon, accusation were made that the missing forms were in another client s package, they were never included in either package. In addition, the staff did not offer us to have a seat while going over our forms, but sat down herself. There were two of us, but only one chair. One of us had to sit on the window alcove to sign the forms. If that was the case, why did both have to come at the same time? When there was only seating for one. Requested balance of funds prior to meeting surgeon, where at the time my eligibility was still unknown for the procedure. Discussion with surgeon was conducted with both of us in the room, even though each appointment was scheduled independent of each other, this would be a medical privacy violation issue, with no consent being requested to combine.
As a result, I declined the surgery as the final results would not have eliminated my requirement for corrective lenses.
I had my surgery three months ago and I can more certainly say that choosing London Vision Clinic was the best decisions I have ever made. The whole team made me feel so welcome and special and I cannot begin to thank each and every one of the for the wonderful care they have provided me. I have not experience any discomfort nor dry eyes since my surgery but I must confess that unconsciously, I still squint when I need to read the flight information boards at airports only to realise I no longer have to! It is the best feeling ever! Thank you. =)

My experience of the London Vision Clinic has been all I could have wished for. I genuinely looked forward to, and enjoyed, every appointment (yes, even surgery day). The initial tests and accompanying explanations were comprehensive and engaging. In the first few days after surgery, I thought of many questions I hadn't asked (and I had asked quite a few), only to realise that every one had already been answered by my optometrist, with perfect foresight, months earlier. It would not have mattered if I had forgotten all the answers, because queries are encouraged and promptly dealt with. The surgery itself was completely painless and lasted only a few minutes. Prof. Reinstein talked me through it as it unfolded, and was all-round perfectly reassuring. There was virtually no discomfort, either during or after surgery. I previously had moderately high myopia and high astigmatism. Two months and three weeks after surgery, I have slightly better than 20/20 vision, and can see better than I did with contact lenses. It's glorious. I am delighted with both the process and the result, and very grateful to Prof. Reinstein and everyone else at the clinic.
I had Relex SMILE done by Mr Carp at the Clinic. This was perhaps one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Although anxious at first, I was reassured every step of the way. London Vision Clinic have the highest standards you can expect. Professional, yet tailored to provide a hint of personal touch. I am now clear of all glasses and lenses. It s been a while since surgery, but being able to wake up in the morning and just see is a feeling that many take for granted but it s something that anyone who has been on the other side of the spectrum should experience again. LVC gives you this opportunity and I really can t recommend them enough.
Many people worry about laser eye surgery and that stops them having it done, but, so much has happened in recent years that it's one of the most popular and safest of surgical procedures. To be honest, it was the least painful operation I've had (unlike frozen shoulder surgery!) and it's far quicker. Plus the results are just unbelievable. As someone with a very high prescription (-9.5 and -9.75) I couldn't walk around without my glasses or lenses as I couldn't judge the floor and would have fallen over, so half an hour after surgery to be able to walk out and, despite it being a bit blurry, be able to see the step outside the clinic was a miracle in itself. If you are at all nervous then pay for the best and for me the London Vision Clinic is just that. They don't just have the best surgeons, they have the best optometrists, nurses, support staff and receptionists. It makes your visits relaxing and enjoyable. Post operative care is brilliant too and I've enjoyed the entire experience and only wish I had taken the plunge earlier! I thoroughly recommend them for outstanding care and service.
After eighteen months of getting my eye surgery done I can vouch for all the positive reviews. It is pricey but I have no complaints. The whole process including pre and post care has been absolutely top notch. If you can afford the extra cost I would highly recommend as the high quality puts your mind at ease before agreeing to such an operation.

I went from having very poor eyesight to 20/20 vision after the surgery. The surgery itself is painfree and very quick. My surgeon was fantastic and the staff at the clinic are very knowledgeable and attentive.
My second time using the LVC, first time 1 yrs ago to correct my short sighted vision after my wife who is a medical Dr did extensive research on the best clinic, after all its your eyes, you dont take any chances. 13 yrs later I had an enhancement. I did my eye surgery 3 months ago and I honestly couldn't be more impressed by these guys. Every single aspect of the experience is thought through to the tiniest detail. It has been about 4 months since I had my eyes done and I am so grateful to everyone at the clinic. It was so easy and basically painless and has already made a huge difference to my life. I had thought about laser for a while and whilst I was furloughed I took the opportunity to contact the clinic about actually getting it done. My initial appointments were great and the staff were very helpful answering any questions I had. There was no pressure to make decisions and I never felt rushed or unwanted. Every question was answered patiently and clearly. The procedure itself took about 10 minutes and was practically painless, I rested after it until my 24 hour follow-up appointment and then was cleared for almost all regular activities. I restarted work about 4 days later and it was completely fine even though I stare at a screen for much of the day. It took a few days to get used to being able to see but it has been incredible to have 20/20 vision. I still use lubricating drops periodically but mostly as a precaution when using the tube rather than out of necessity. Thoroughly recommend SMILE (the laser surgery I had) and the clinic has been and continues to be incredibly easy to deal with.
I had my laser eye surgery with The London Vision Clinic about 4 months ago now and my vision has been excellent since then. I find the communication between you and your patient coordinator to be extremely responsive and they aim to answer your queries promptly. The overall procedure was over quickly and they can also provide you with a sedative to help you relax, which is called lorazepam, which I found helpful. I was also provided with extra drops and eye washing solution after my surgery and checkups as I had some mild itching, but overall the procedure was pain free and quick. Mr Glenn Carp done my surgery and he is very professional and polite in person which put me at ease before my surgery. Their offices can get a bit busy however due to the high turnover rate of patients but aside from that I cannot fault the service and would recommend them.
The staff are very friendly and supportive, and didn't make me feel that I have to have the surgery - quite the opposite! they explained to me very clearly what to expect and the risks associated with the surgery. The surgery itself is painless and my vision is perfect now. Very happy with the whole process.

Deciding to have laser eye surgery was the best decision I ve made. After a lot of research and some recommendations I picked the London vision clinic. From my first to my last appointment they were nothing but friendly and helpful. On the day of my surgery they made me feel so comfortable and I wasn t nervous at all. The after care I received was excellent. As my eyes could become a bit dry they would send me more eye drops if I ran out which was great service. Just over a year on my eye sight is amazing with 20/16 vision. I would highly recommend the London vision clinic to anyone who s looking to get laser eye surgery. You won t regret it.

I was extremely cautious about this, having waited more than 10 years until I felt the time was right to proceed. I was reassured both by the data showing very high levels of success, and by the professionalism of the staff at the clinic. Everything went smoothly and I am delighted with my new lease of life, having binned the spectacles after 40 years!
Everyone at the clinic has been wonderful. I was originally scheduled to have my surgery back in April but due to the pandemic, it had to be rescheduled. The team stayed in contact and was swift to ensure that my appointment was rebooked as soon as it was safe. The team were excellent, the safety measures outstanding and Mr Stuart kept me calm and reassured throughout the whole procedure. I could not recommend them enough to anyone thinking of getting laser eye surgery.
Very happy with how well I was looked after by London Vision Clinic. I wasnt sure how my eyesight would be afterwards but I was pleasantly surprised after they settled down. I was impressed with everything from day one when I went to get my checks done and they were super thorough and fully explained everything. I was still nervous and then I met my surgeon and he was even more reassuring and down to earth and friendly. On the day of my surgery we got there very early and waited in the waiting area they arranged everything like my taxi for after. The nurse took me through my medication which was presented in a lovely case. During the operation I was very nervous but my surgeon talked through every single minute and I felt at ease. I followed all the advice and when I come back the following day my eyesight was good and they let me go back to work. The first check up I had confirmed I had 20/20 vision but due to a fall I haven't had my follow up check up since. However any questions or drops have been provided no problem. I am very impressed by the care and professionalism of lvc. Whilst no doubt not the cheapest around I am not going to look for a bargain when it comes to my vision.

I can highly recommend Relex Smile Laser Eye Surgery at the London Vision Clinic on Harley Street. I had it a few months ago and my vision is now superb, truly life changing. Anyone who feels squeamish about laser eye surgery (the reason why I put it off for years), Relex Smile is the answer to your worries. There was zero pain during or after the procedure. Professor Reinstein is an absolute perfectionist and has delivered an outstanding result!
Excellent experience from start to finish! The service I received from Professor Reinstein and Vimal Piparia was outstanding, and the procedure (I had the ReLex 'Keyhole Lasik' performed) has changed my life dramatically. Pre-procedure my prescription was -9.75/-2.75 (right eye) and -6.25/-3.50 (left eye). At my four month post-operative visit I was seeing 20/16 at distance, and every single day I marvel at how sharp my vision is. Cannot recommend this clinic enough.

I picked the London Vision Clinic because of its excellent reviews, and I was not disappointed. From entry to the clinic (where you are greeted by mostly very polite reception staff) to the waiting room (where you have access to all kinds of free snacks and drinks while you wait) to the examinations with friendly, expert optometrists and (eventually) the friendly, extremely capable surgeon, the process was easy and comfortable. I had the procedure done without any fuss and without any unpleasant side-effects, and I am perfectly happy with the result.
My only qualm is that I felt I could have been kept better informed when appointments were running late (although I was never waiting for more than an hour) or when my consultant was changed at the last minute. I wouldn't deduct a star for that, though, as everything else was perfect.
I wore glasses full-time for myopia for around 20 years and had a -3.25 prescription by the time I went for laser eye surgery. I'd considered laser eye surgery a few times over the years, and after some research and initial conversations with a couple of other clinics, London Vision Clinic was the only clinic I got as far as visiting. With the exception of one post-surgery checkup which began around an hour late (which could happen to any clinic - just allow plenty of time on appointment days), absolutely everything else has run completely smoothly. The entire team has been professional and easy to deal with; the professionalism from everybody puts your mind at ease from start to finish.
My surgeon was Alastair Stuart and thanks to him I couldn't be happier with my surgery outcome. My vision is now better than 20/20 at 20/12.5, and I haven't experienced any dry eye symptoms at all. It's the little things that make the biggest difference - being able to hug my husband without repositioning my head, put makeup on without standing right in front of a mirror, and going to see 3D films without doubling up on glasses when I inevitably forget to put contacts in. No more cleaning smudged lenses five times a day, no more red marks on the bridge of my nose, no more swapping glasses and sunglasses when I enter and exit buildings, no more ducking away from the steam when I open the dishwasher.
Best thing I could ever done! When I was reading the reviews I was a bit sceptical about the surgery being pain-free, but I am so happy that now I can say te same. It lasted around 10 mins and I couldn t feel absolutely anything! I would say it was almost relaxing. The same day I was playing board games with my friends. Mr Carp did an amazing job! He changed my life. Everyone is very professional and friendly and they give you the best support before, during and after your surgery. Definitely money well spent.
After doing some research and a recommendation given by a client, I decided to go for LVC. It has simply been the best decision I have made! I had eye surgery done by Prof Reinstein who is a world class eye surgeon. This clinic has the latest technologies including the world's most accurate ultrasound eye scanner co-invented by Prof Reinstein. Only a few laser eye clinics have this equipment. My experience has been exceptional from the very first call, through to the aftercare. Kate, who was my patient care coordinator was brilliant and prompt with replying back to my endless emails regarding queries. Mr Alex Day was very reassuring during my surgery and made me feel at ease. It's an amazing feeling waking up and being able to see the world in high definition. My vision is better than it was in glasses or contacts. Highly recommend the wonderful Prof Reinstein and the LVC!
I have enjoyed very good eyesight throughout my life until, at the age of 48, I found that I needed to wear Glasses to assist my reading. My wife was experiencing different issues with her eyes and after researching the subject we both decided to make appointments at LVC. I confess that was very nervous at the beginning, but really shouldn't have been concerned. The extremely detailed tests confirmed that I was a candidate for blended vision laser surgery to restore the ability to read without the aid of glasses. The level of detail provided in response to my questions reassured me of the benefits and so I decided to go ahead with the procedure. The surgery was completed by Professor Dan Reinstein, he put me at ease by talking me through the process at each stage and completed the entire procedure in only a couple of minutes. Following the surgery I adhered to the simple post operative instructions and true to their word my vision reached the targeted levels as promised. Subsequently and in line with expectations I have enjoyed a return to the eyesight of my youth!! The freedom of being able to read without any thought of reaching for glasses is absolutely tremendous. I have been extremely impressed by all aspects of pre and post surgical care, with Reception Staff, Optometrists and of course Dr Dan making sure that nothing is too much trouble. If you are thinking about this surgery I have no hesitation in recommending the London Vision Clinic, in my opinion there is nowhere better to place your trust.

Incredible life change handled by the best in the world! I initially went for consultations from the more low-cost "highstreet" style laser eye correction clinics and did not get a very good vibe. Having almost given up on having the surgery done I went to London Vision Clinic and immediately got a fantastic impression. Now, 3 months post surgery my eyes are perfect! And having the latest SMILE procedure mean I had zero discomfort and an almost immediate return to normal life! Best thing I have ever done. Hands down!

The process was the best I ve ever experienced in ANY customer service setting.
From initial enquiry to my ongoing post op care, with check in text messages from my surgeon - Alistair Stewart in between - there is a great deal of true diligence, care and professionalism in this clinic.
Even during COVID-19 they kept in touch whilst the clinic closed and when I did go for a follow up appointment, they had the most appropriate hygiene controls in place.
The financing arrangements were also very straightforward, easy to understand and affordable.
I can t more than highly recommend them and trying to see if I can get my mum in next!

I was so pleased with their attention to detail and i decided to go ahead with the surgery a few months later... and now its been 3 weeks since my surgery and i am SO pleased with the outcome and i cannot keep telling everyone i meet that this was one of the greatest and best decision of my life!!
My surgeon, Dr Glenn Carp has been beyond amazing- very friendly and professional. He made me feel at ease throughout the whole procedure! He literally talks you through the surgery and also gave me A-Z information before the surgery- so no surprises at all!

After having completed a long due diligence on private clinics offering laser eye surgery, I am delighted I chose LVC. Organisation is great, staff very helpful, and the place is cosy with healthy snacks and nice tea and coffe selections to enjoy whilst you wait. Waiting time for myself was very short so plan ahead otherwise you might not have time to finish your latte ;) Regarding what really matters, medical staff is very knowledgeable and equipment is definitely top quality. After-care is also great and my life is now so much better without having to trouble myself with that glasses/contact lenses malarkey. Financing options are advantageous too. For sure is the place to go to if you're in the UK.
I pretty much never review but before I had my eyes lasered I trawled through this review list looking for negative reviews and found none. After having had my eyes lasered with London Vision Clinic I can see why. I had Dr Carp and he was fantastic. My vision is incredible and the service perfect. The aftercare I received was second to none. I would only ever feel safe in these guys hands. From the first phone call to the post op checks these guys have been professional and thorough. Katie, my patient care provider was exceptional in my opinion and I am so glad I went with London Vision.
Great service. Friendly staff that take their time to understand and support you where possible. Great processes. You get all the information you need, including reminders and even ad-hoc check-ins to see whether everything is going well after the surgery. I'm very happy with the results, too. Based on my experience so far (3 months after surgery), I would definitely recommend LVC!
Amazing Patient Care! I was very much aware what was going on at every stage of the treatment, because the team had thoroughly explained everything to me! The surgery itself was straightforward and I was able to go back to my normal activities in no time at all!

My eyes were tested on equipment that I have not seen before and EVERYBODY at the clinic was so professional and could not be more helpful with any questions or needs that I had. My 24 year old daughter had laser treatment by Dr Reinstein after 14 years of being unable to see anything properly without glasses or contact lenses. I had my surgery here 28/02/2019 with Dr. Glenn Carp. What can I say? It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I was thinking about an eye surgery for 5 years. I had many appointments at many eye clinics across UK. Optical Express disappointed me with their service and Optimax never called me back. London Vision clinic was all about me. My health, my thoughts and concerns. Everything was discussed, all risks, procedures, etc. Staff were polite with excellent customer care. Doctors are great, highly skilled, trained, professional. On the day of my surgery I was offered a massage for relaxation, and all my concerns raised after the surgery I solved by calling the clinic and discussing my questions with doctors. I found the whole experience comprehensive and reassuring. As someone who is a little squeamish I found the aftercare on the day especially good, with a friendly nurse taking extra time to sit with me, instruct me how to do the eye drops and check and make sure I was comfortable.

I had a fantastic experience at the London Visio Clinic. From the beginning to the end there is extraordinary customer service. When you arrive there is great detail on what you should expect and they give you a book with all the medical information you need. Before the surgery, they provide you with a very caring and supportive atmosphere making it stress-free. Afterwards, they check up on you to see how you are getting on. Overall this is a five star service. I definitely recommend this clinic, the surgery made a big improvement to my life and I wish I had done it many years ago.
The staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival, once I had my appointments the Clinic kept me informed throughout which was reassuring, I felt more comfortable and at ease. All of my appointments were timely and efficient and the clinic itself was easy to find. I cannot rate the amazing Dr Carp and his team highly enough. Overall I had a great experience with London Vision Clinic and have already recommended to others.
A great clinic with the best results. A clinic on the high street told me that I wasn't suitable for laser surgery and offered lens replacement (scary!) however LVC were perfectly able to treat me. The surgery gave me amazing eyesight and was over in what seemed like two minutes. The surgery itself is not a big deal, you can't feel a thing, it's so quick, and all you see are different coloured lights and it's a bit foggy afterwards, and you even get a teddy and a blanket :) The pre-scanning and aftercare was nothing short of the best. You are in good hands here, I couldn't ask for more. Glenn Carp clearly is top of his field, there's no need to go anywhere else, and it's surprisingly affordable for Harley Street. Why risk your eyesight anywhere else?

I had the Relex SMILE surgery at LVC 4 months ago and I am very happy and impressed with the care and service I received from everyone I met throughout the process. The surgery was very quick and completely pain free and the post operative care was amazing, my surgeon Mr Stuart was brilliant and always available to contact for any concern or question. As you can imagine, I did a lot of research about eye clinics. First, I found out that you should never go to a high street or a chain operation, this work is too complex for their people and they don't have the latest ,very expensive kit you need to do a good job. Second, the same name kept coming up time and time again, professor Dan Reinstein, basically because he's the king of this kind of surgery, and not just in the UK, but worldwide. Of course, they do all sorts of eye treatments but I can only talk about my type of treatment for Blended Vision, which is basically where one eye is focused on near things, and the other on far objects, and the brain merges the images together (that's not the scientific explanation, but it describes it more or less); and my objective was to stop wearing glasses. The results are really great. The operation is quick and painless; the aftercare is superb (and included in the price, as are all medications like eye drops etc there are absolutely no extras). the glasses are gone and I am a very happy camper. My advice, pay for the best, go to Prof Dan right now. He'll test your eyes and see if you qualify for surgery (most people are, but not everybody) and within weeks you'll have thrown those glasses away for ever. Good luck.
Had my laser eye treatment done around twelve years ago which was the best thing I did. Just had a little top up procedure recently which again was successful. The specialists and staff are all great and give the best of attention and service.
Excellent experience from the first call to talk about possible options through the surgery and post operative care. No pressure to sign up, unlike other places when I was doing my research. Kate was my patient coordinator; very professional, approachable, friendly and efficient. Clinical team that looked after me of the day of my surgery were great. have the complimentary neck and shoulder massage before the surgery, its a great relaxant. I highly recommend Glenn Carp as your surgeon; talks through everything, even through I probably asked the same questions very other patient does, I never felt as if I was being rushed or silly for asking anything. Post operative support has been excellent; from the kit with the drops and timer...to the text messages and their App. Oh and lastly lovely offices in Harley Street and a good cup of coffee! It's not cheap, (had my surgery in Oct 2017) but they provide a first class service and use cutting edge technology. A great team.
Very professional. I found the actual procedure very uncomfortable which I hadn't anticipated however it was over quickly and now my vision is spot on 2 months later.

I was very impressed not just with the quality of their clinic on my visit but also their superb approach to customer care at every step. I never felt pressured at anytime to make a decision after my initial consultation and I was left with as much time as I felt to absorb all of the details and the choice whether to go ahead or not. I chose to have the correction surgery here as I felt my eyes deserved the very best and they did indeed get exactly this. Everything was explained fully and in detail every step of the way. The surgery was simply amazing and painless throughout and expertly performed by Dr Glenn Carp who talked to me through the whole procedure. I would thoroughly recommend London Vision Clinic and all of their staff for their excellent treatment and ongoing commitment to patient satisfaction.
They waited till the day before my surgery was booked for to tell me that i am unable to give informed consent for the surgery to go ahead. The reason being that, they had failed to tell me about an alternative surgery which they felt may be a better option. I had been to the clinic before that day and interacted with the clinic on many occasions before yet they left it to the day before I was supposed to have surgery. Why would they have not made me aware of my options in advance I do not understand.
To put it simply they made a mistake, that mistake cost me financially because I took time off work, made the trip to London, paid for a hotel and mentally prepared myself to undergo major surgery.
I had decided to go ahead with the surgery the next day as this is what I came to London to do. However, they refused and said because I was only told about the alternative option less than 24 hours ago they cannot perform the surgery. This was not my fault and I should not have had to take on the costs of their mistake. They told me to rebook for another date in the future and go through the entire process all over again.
When I told them I was unhappy, they said they can not treat me any longer as a patient at their clinic and they did not even pay me back for the travel expenses and wasted costs.
Instead they ignored the fact that I was unsatisfied with their service and their approach to dealing with complaints.
To summarise, they do not treat you like you are patient, you are simply a customer.
I cannot recommend LVC enough!! I had my one year check up yesterday following LASIK surgery last year and my vision is still better than 20:20. From my first consultation to my final check up, right the way through I have been made to feel very welcome, relaxed and comfortable. The environment is so clean and just has that 5* feeling everywhere! On the day of my surgery, before the procedure I had a lovely complimentary neck and shoulder massage which helped to calm my nerves. It was so relaxing and would highly recommend - it s complimentary after all! The surgeon himself (Glenn Carp) was so lovely. He explained everything to me in great detail and made me feel so relaxed on the day! Glenn remained in contact following the surgery to make sure I got home safe and to see how I was feeling. It was comforting to know he was available to speak to so quickly should I have any concerns. Thank you all at LVC for your 5* service and giving me perfect vision again
My prescription changed from -10 (essentially blind without my glasses) with an astigmatism, to 20-20 vision. It quite simply changed my life. Worth every penny. I was a VERY nervous patient and had hysterics for weeks before the operation. Dan was superb, addressed all of my fears, and gave me great confidence. I think I might not have gone through with it if it had been anyone else.
Best thing I've ever done and I wouldn't have had it done anywhere else. The care is exceptional and definitely worth the money. My optician has since commented that he has never seen a better result from this kind of surgery before. I really can't describe how much this has changed my life and I'll always be grateful to the team at London Vision Clinic.
I underwent LASIK at the LVC in April 2015, having thought about for a long time, and having procrastinated for an equally long time. I'm sure almost everyone says this, but I wish I had done it years ago!
From beginning to end, couldn't have done more to improve the experience. Starting with the reception and administrative staff, they were helpful and proactive in working around my schedule to arrange initial consultations and examinations. I spent a full day at LVC having my eyes examined every which way, by the very good team of technicians and opticians.
When the day of my surgery actually arrived - less than a month after my initial contact and only a few weeks after my exams - everyone at LVC was considerate and caring, and ensured that I was well looked after. I felt no nervousness going in to the operation at all, even though I was about to experience major surgery. And the surgery itself was a piece of cake. My surgeon (Professor Reinstein) had met me the day before the operation to talk me through everything, so on the day itself I knew exactly what to expect. I was on the table for no more than 10 minutes, and experienced some minor discomfort but no pain at all.
For the next hours I kept my eyes shut, but by the evening of my surgery I was able to watch TV, and within 48 hours I was back to normal. LVC checked up on me after the surgery at intervals of 24 hours, 1 month, 3 months, and 1 year. At each occasion I received a consistently first class service.
I couldn't be more delighted with the result. I had previously been very short-sighted since the age of 8, and underwent surgery at 30. I know have better than 20/20 vision in both eyes (in fact, considerably better than 20/20) with no side effects, or pain, or discomfort. It was the best thing I've ever done for myself. No it's not cheap, but in my view it was worth every penny.
I would unreservedly recommend Prof Reinstein and LVC to anyone currently on the fence about LASIK.
This is the first review I've ever written and so I think that says a lot itself. From being completely adamant that I would never get laser eye surgery, I saw Phillip Schofield on This Morning go through his journey of undergoing laser eye surgery at the London Vision Clinic and looked into the clinic. Very soon after that I decided to go for an initial consultation and all my concerns regarding laser eye surgery were addressed very reassuringly, as well as this I was given a good estimate of the results I would achieve. After discussing it with my family, I gladly decided to go ahead with the surgery. The worst part of the entire process for myself was the fact that I had to wear my glasses instead of my contacts for several weeks prior to the surgery - if that is the worst part of it all, you can imagine how bad it really isn't. The day of the surgery was very straightforward and very quick. I had already made myself familiar with the process beforehand and so this helped speed things up even more so. The surgery was completely pain free and I was in and out of the room within 10 minutes. I went home via taxi with my family, who had accompanied me on the day, and spent the rest of the day just relaxing and resting my eyes. The post-op check I had the following morning determined that my eyesight was already at 20/20 and considering my eyes were -8 and -7 to begin with, it was quite remarkable to have that level of clarity. I'm writing this review 6 months post-surgery and my eyesight is actually slightly better than 20/20. The customer service provided by every member of staff at the clinic was nothing less than world class and I would like to give a special mention to both Mr Glenn Carp, my surgeon and Rupalee Khiroya, my optometrist, both of whom made my experience very much a memorable one. For anyone reading this review that is undecided as to whether to go ahead with laser eye surgery, I would strongly recommend going to the London Vision Clinic for an initial consultation - from a 25 year old who spent the best part of 2 decades shortsighted, whose life has now been significantly changed for the better.
There are no words to describe how fantastic Mr Glenn Carp is. The whole process was quick and easy, wish I had it done years ago! I have worn glasses and contact lenses for over 20 years and was fed up. Having extensively researched laser vision surgery and the various providers in the market place I settled on London Vision Clinic for my procedure. My choice has proven to be an excellent one because my experience there and the outcome I have achieved with my sight has exceeded my expectations. I had Presbyond blended laser vision correction. After only 5 weeks my sight is better than 20/20 and I can see the tiniest of font so I have clear vision from near to far. Quite fantastic! It should improve even further over the next few months. I found the London Vision Clinic to be outstanding in every way; no pushy sales attitude and professional, friendly caring staff, a seamless process from day one. I am so grateful to Professor Dan Reinstein who did my procedure. He is an elite surgeon in this field with a vast experience. He handled my plethora of questions with patience and humour. I can t recommend LVC enough. After many years of considering laser eye surgery, I finally bit the bullet last summer and, after looking at various clinics in London, settled on LVC. After an initial consultation, I met Dr Carp, who eventually did my surgery a few weeks later. The surgery itself was painless and incredibly fast; I was in/out the operation room in under 15 minutes. 6 months later, my vision is 20/20. Wish I d done it earlier! Can t fault the staff, the clinic, or the services. Highly recommended !
My experience at London Vision Clinic was brilliant from start to finish. Every staff member there is professional, caring and always has the biggest smile on their face. Plus the unlimited free coffee, soft drinks and biscuits at every appointment are delicious! Glenn, my surgeon, was constantly realistic with me about the risks involved with my high prescription and was so helpful and kind, putting me at ease with all my fears. The day of surgery itself was incredibly relaxing with lots of free chocolate, a massage and being made to feel completely comfortable. The aftercare provided was brilliant with a kit of drops and tablets, all with a free sponge bag. Glenn even contacted me following my check up the next day to say how happy he was for me that it was successful. Having had a prescription of -9 for over ten years, being able to read, write and watch TV without glasses within a couple of days of surgery was incredible. One year on, the surgery has been a great success and I am so glad that I had it done, but even more glad that I did it at such an amazing clinic.
Very happy with the service. My case was pretty standard I guess so it is possible that I would have got the same great results (from -2.7 to 21/20 vision a day after surgery, basically no dry eyes after few weeks) with a cheaper option too. But I think that the whole process at the LVC is designed very thoroughly to minimize the risk of any complications at any stage (before, during, and after surgery), so for me it was worth paying more just for having this reassurance.
Hi. Just had my lasik blended vision done. Can t express how pleased I am. I went to all the big names. Had all the tests. I was going to get the lens replacement. They were all professional to be fair. However after my optician recommended these guys I went for a visit as I hadn t heard of the blended vision. These were a little more expensive but i like the way they explained all options and risks as they do it all. The others didn t do this surgery. The risk of this surgery is way less basically. So that s why I went with it. Had the op yesterday in ten mins. My vision today is practically perfect already. No pain. Nothing. It will only get better and better evidently. I am over the moon. All the staff were great. My surgeon glen was a lovely chap. I felt in capable hands. Highly recommended. I m a new man!
Excellent service. They are very professional from the minute you set your feet in the clinic. On the day of the operation I was feeling a little anxious, but they made sure I was calm and relaxed. The doctor was always talking to you will the procedure was taking place, explaining all that was happening, So that was very reassuring. The postoperative is excellent as well. They check you several times, sometimes during a whole year even, which is my case as my dioptre was very high
