Very rude, tried changing their return policy when presented with a malfunctioning used camera. Seems like half the people don t know what they re talking about, and the other half are condescending jerks who try to talk down to customers. Never giving these people my business again.

My first trip, I wanted to get some advice and learn about an old camera that my parents gave me. Nobody could be bothered to help me and after waiting 45 minutes in two different lines, I left. I dropped off some film and forgot about it. I received an email that it was going to be thrown out and to call if I wanted it. When I did that and explained why I was calling, the photo lab person snapped at me and said "Well yeah, I was the one who sent you the email so its here. When are you getting it?". I then go to pick up my film a few days later. After another 20 minute wait, while a girl is back looking for my film, presumably the same phone guy, comes over and asks me when I got the email and when I wonder if it was thrown out, he tells me "We don't do that so its here. You got an email". Surprise, they didn't have it so another 45 minutes was wasted. They also had trouble finding another customers, who was next to me. Rude/arrogant staff, incompetent organization and high prices. No thanks. Would rather they just pitched the film initially. I am wanting to get into wildlife photography but will make sure to buy my camera elsewhere.

Horrible experience. I work at a camera store and was extremely excited about hitting Precision Camera due to hearing everyone talk about it. After wandering a bit, I finally got someone to point me in the direction of the film. I go to the back counter and ask the young lady for what was the beginning of my order , Instax wide black and white. She proceeds to tell me that they have Portra 400 . That s a color film and not for the Instax. I charge it up to maybe she didn t hear me with my mask , so I repeat myself and she says oh for Polaroid . Ok, yeah I ll let that ride. So then, I start asking for film that is on their website and she looks at me like I m speaking Greek. Then announces this is all the film we have . I look at the film fridge and there s nowhere near the offering that s on their website. So, disappointed, I get a box of film that I already have in my bag in the car just so it s not a blank trip. I then ask her for batteries that I would like extras of to have on hand and she says , the sales people over there will get them ( I was told originally to ask for the batteries at the film counter) . I explain that to her and she asks me on 4 different occasions what I needed. 2 v76 batteries and 2 cr123a batteries, to which she asks what was the 1st one again? So, off she goes and come back with the correct batteries and then asks, did you need singles or are you ok with the double pack? Sigh..... As she s ringing me up I notice that they have a particular film stock in 120, so I ask for two rolls out of the pro pack. She freezes like a deer. So I ask, if it s not possible to break them up , which I know some places won t do. I don t know, I have to go check and off she goes. Now, in the 10 mins she s gone, I notice a man standing at another counter legit yelling I JUST WANT TO PAY FOR THIS, CAN ANYONE JUST RING ME UP ? He asks this question, same volume , 4 times. So, then I start noticing the lack of customer service all around. The lady at the front desk not greeting people at the front desk because she s on the phone relaxing ( literally laid back, arms folded and asking what s going on tonight ) . I was greeted coming in and going by the elderly security guard at the door. The girl finally comes back with the film and walks pass me , so I stop her and ask if it s an issue to break up the pack. Ummm, I supposed to go get a label ? Cause they can t be rung up without it or something . At this point , I tell her , nevermind because I can t give my money to a place that literally doesn t know what s going on and people have to ask to be helped. I really hate that too , because I really wanted this to live up to the hype. I guess it s just one of those we are the biggest game in town situations. I try to support camera shops when I visit cites because it s hard enough finding actual shops. So sad....

Precision Camera has employees that are not very professional. Some of the sales people are rude. The individuals that conduct camera classes are unprofessional and they try to pick and choose who the want to deal with. You pay for the classes, they're not free. So what difference does it make who you are as long as you can pay. They make promises and blow you off at will without providing legitimate explanation. I would never do business with them again. I spoke to the store manager and he was no help. All he did was make excuses. He was no help at all. He was arrogant and condescending. For the money they charge, attitudes should be a lot better. And because I'm African American and was treated this way, that says something also........ This is not sour grapes either.

Showed up to get old negatives looked and get options. First guy said to push the button for help. I was passed 3 times before initial guy assisted me (Adan I believe was his name). Very helpful and apologetic. He even told other coworker that I was here first. Waiting to see results of my new 5" x 7" and poster and will follow up with a new rating. Manny

Edit: Gregg, I was angry with you for the attitude of your employee. To be honest, I'm not very impressed with your attitude either. I drove 40 minutes to buy from you and wanted the camera for a job the next day. I came to you because a company I'd done business with several times in the past was less than professional. So, I paid more out of pocket and drove 80 miles round trip to give you my business. You went on and on about how I should buy local because the out of state companies don't pay local taxes. Well, I DID buy local. And in the process of listening to you scold me for considering an out of state company I had to listen your condescending tone and listen to you use words like G*d D**n I DID buy local! And this is the thanks I get. I wonder what your boss would think if he heard our conversation? ;-) I'm not your child or someone that needs a scolding. I'm a [former] customer who traded with you and did so happily. You asked me why I would leave a negative review when I had so many other positive experiences. My question to you is, "if you value me as a customer and all of my past business then why did you treat me like you did in your store and on the phone?" Why would you allow a repeat customer walk out of your store unhappy? I wanted the best deal and Cole took it personal. Based on my conversation with you it sounds like you're rubbing off on your staff. He knew I was unhappy. Why am I leaving this review? Because you dropped the ball and treated me like less than a valued customer. In conclusion, you might say that I gave you a call to give you a chance to make it right and you failed. ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW Bait and Switch Cole! When you're in business you should be able to handle a customer (me) asking for the best deal. Especially when I could buy from an out of state company and avoid the sales tax ($50). Getting upset with your customers for wanting the best deal isn't a good business practice....imho. I've bought and sold several items over the last few years. I won't walk thru their doors again. The salesman Cole acted like I was stealing from him for asking him to match my other deal (not the sales tax part - I was willing to pay that). I asked him about another bag and he snapped at me, before letting me finish my question, and assumed I was wanting him to make it part of the deal. All I wanted was a larger bag and was willing to pay for it if I liked the bag and the price was in my budget. Never going back. Done!

After driving to Precision Camera from Lago Vista twice because PC decided to shut down and not change their VM from Come on in. We re open!! to letting customers know they would shut the store down early, my wife and I were REFUSED service because of her inability (not refusal) to wear a mask due to recent cardiac surgery. We were made to wait on the sidewalk like stray cats until she couldn t stand anymore and went to sit in the car. The employees who came to assist us were polite and professional but the manager who was to serve us refused to come outside. After waiting 45 minutes and six times being assured he was coming, we called and were told by the rude girl at the front desk that no manager was on duty. I know when I m getting the run around so, we left and requested the store manager (Greg Berger) contact us. He could not have cared less how we were treated. it s our policy..... . He also said, I had employees refuse to come to work if customers were permitted to shop without masks. Well, you know what Greg, like I told you on the phone, you allowed your employees and your dismissive attitude to run off a 15 year customer of Precision Camera. Be careful who you step on, Greg I try and try and try to give my business to local stores and they just won t have it. THIS is why people shop online and I will be doing so going forward.

not worth it, complete scam. Was told that the cleaning service for lens would remove all the dust spots in my image. After cleaning, was then told that it was because of dead pixels. Funny how they didn't bother to mention that BEFORE the cleaning when I specifically asked MULTIPLE times whether the problem I was having with spots in my camera would be resolved. One employee even claimed it's almost like "magic" how the spots will disappear. Such bull crap. Then they proceeded to charge me 86 dollars. I was considering getting more involved in the camera hobby and contemplated on buying a video camera from this place. But no way im spending another dime here.

I ordered a print online. Days after it was supposed to show up, nothing. I called the store and there was no record of my purchase. They took my money though... Apparently sometimes their system drops orders. Seriously?? So, I got it resolved, but I am giving one star because even though the guy working in that section did follow up with me, the manager did not seem to care. No apology, or discount or expedited shipping was offered. Poor customer service, especially when they failed in the first place.

I ordered a Sony AX43 camcorder there last month. The price was $100 off which was the same price Best Buy had it on sale the week before but then went back up so I ordered it from here. The ordered processed but then that afternoon I got a phone call from a lady saying that the rebate for that item was no longer available. I said there was no rebate listed and that was the price....$100 off or $748. She said she could either charge my card the other $100 or cancel the order. I said can you price match to X company and she said I will credit your card back. I went to Newegg and bought it there for $749. I'll remember that in the future and never buy from them again.

So we dropped our lens off at the south Austin store over 2 weeks ago to get serviced. It was sent to the North location and we never received a call stating what repairs needed to be done to the Lens. I call the North store this morning to see what the status is, the gentleman told me to call the South store because they recently dropped off stuff off at the South store. I call the south store and they say it looks like it was delivered here then made its way back up North and that he would make a note that we want to pick it up South. He then says call the North store to check the status. So I call the North store once again and they said looks like someone called you and left you a voicemail on Jan 16th. We have no missed calls or voicemails from precision camera. No emails either. The gentleman at the north store told me they don t have a manager that works on the weekend and they have no runners to run the lens to the South store today. I have never dealt with such chaos. Wow.

Some of the people that work here are friendly but the lab is very unprofessional. I just picked up some negatives and got them home and they are all bent up. Another time I got negatives from them that had a big fingerprint on them. Their website advertises 2 day turn around on E-6 which is a bunch of bologna, they send it out to another lab and it takes at least 2 weeks. A while back I was planning a shoot for which I needed the film processed ASAP, I decided to shoot it on slide film because their website advertises the two day turn around on E-6. I shot it, then drove all the way out there only to be told that processing would take at least 2 weeks and it would have to be shipped to some unknown lab in Colorado. I live far away and wasted my time and gas driving all the way out there and looked like an unprofessional idiot to the client who I promised would get their photos in 3 days. Their website also advertises 2 day turn around on C-41 which a joke as well. It always takes longer than that, and they often don t call you when its ready like they say they will. Since they don t call you, you have to call them, and often times the phone just rings and rings once you are transferred and the receptionist will finally just tell you to call back later. Ive been to rinky dink labs in India that were more professional, and that did a better job. Im done with this place. I really wanted to like it and support it, but I am going to start shipping my film out to a lab that I can trust.

Ordered ( order #48757) for a Panasonic lumix lx100 ii camera on Wednesday February 03rd 2021, it was declined next day even after I spoke to one of their customer service agents about a typo in telephone number. Money still on hold they say with the bank. My husband ordered ( #48792) the same camera yesterday February 04th 2021 and they held his credit card with the same value since we needed one urgently for our son who will be climbing Mt Kenya. His order was declined today, with no explanation and this time with no typo's and errors. They end up making the time to ship the camera go by, they offer no explanation! And we cannot order for another one now!!! Then today they send me an email saying my cart still needs sorting since I had not finished buying a camera case that I needed, so why would I buy a case with no camera!!!

I bought my Nikon today for my trip to Kenya coming up. I truly recommend you doing some research on cameras before coming into this place - which I did. The sales guy was polite, but I feel like he could have engaged a little more i.e. showing me lower end and high end (difference between the functions, lens, etc). I told him the price range I was looking for, but he waited for me to point things out for me to check out rather than giving me the different types of models to test out. I don't know if he was in a hurry, tired, over it, or that it was a Sunday. I was just at Best Buy on Research before coming here. Sadly BB ran out of the Canon model I was looking for. Should you come here and buy your camera? No. You can honestly go to Best Buy/Frys to test out your camera - purchase there or on B&H Photo. Why did I come here? Because I am a local and just wanted to support them. Plus I have a trip coming up soon and didn't want to drive elsewhere anymore since Best Buy sold out of the camera I wanted. Would I come back here in the future: Probably not. Their prices are full retail by the way compared to other stores and online. is it good for rentals? YES! Advice for the owner? Work on customer service. Engage with your customers - beginners or experts. Make them feel like they really need the camera, lens, or flash to capture the best moments of their lives. Show them the difference between a $200 or a $400 camera. Educate your customers.

I drove 1hr from home just to take my camera to get cleaned professionally and when I picked it up it was worse !!!!! That explains why they charged me before the cleaning and not when Im suppose to pick it up, My camera is ruined thanks to precision camera and video! I do not recommend this place I hope I get my money back, I would give zero stars if I could.

I placed an order online through the photo lab. Was told my payment was declined, so attempted to place my order a second time. The system told me my order was a duplicate order, so this lead me to believe that my order actually went through the first time. However, using common sense, I attempted to call twice to have someone confirm this for me. No one ever called me back. The order had been placed for the one-hour service, which I paid more for BTW. Being in a pinch to get these images, I drove to Precision Camera in hopes my order had been received and fulfilled. When I get there, I learned that it had not. O joy. First the associate tells me that it's probably because my information didn't match up...like maybe I had changed my name or address recently. Nope, that's not it. She then tells me they've been having this issue a lot. Oh good to know! I tell her I will call my husband at home and see if he can resubmit the order, and I'm then informed they won't be able to fulfill my order for another two days. Wait...what! I just placed an order and paid more for one hour. "Oh well there's a way to fix that in the system, but no one here right now knows how to do that." Keeping my calm but clearly showing disappointment that I just drove all the way from south Austin, her response, is "it's just a really crazy time right now." As the old saying goes, "Excuses only satisfy the person who makes them." Precision Camera, you need to get your online act together and be better prepared for the holiday rush.

Horrible place to shop. Customer service is the absolute worst I have ever experienced. I literally saw the general manager yelling at a UPS employee for dropping the packages off in the wrong spot even though it was the UPS driver's first day. Super rude staff. Also when I tried to check out an employee told me he was tied up with something else but was just talking to another employee and proceeded to just stand there.

I hate to be the bearer of negativity, but I simply couldn't pass up leaving a review for this place. I'm new to Austin this year, and have started to visit all of the camera stores here to make sure that I start going to the one that fits me best. I'm not quite ready to develop film on my own yet, so I've been taking the film that I need developed to different stores to just try each out. I took 4 rolls of 35mm film here to be developed (3 rolls of Superia 400 and a roll of Velvia 50). While discussing with the person working as the cashier, it felt as if he wasn't well educated on the topic of film whatsoever, wasn't thorough in explaining the different quality of scans that Precision did, and it honestly felt that he wasn't even fully there while conversing with him. I didn't feel really comfortable sending rolls of film off that I needed developed in a specific way with someone who didn't seem to know film at all in the first place, and my fear only grew. I come from Dallas, and we have someone with a lab that develops slide film in house, so I was accustomed to that process and assumed that a place as big and accredited as precision would do the same. I received a phone call about an hour later, right before precision's closing time and after I had gotten home (40 minutes away), as the cashier failed to recognize that I shot on slide film and failed to tell me that the return time on the scans would be 3-4 weeks. To be a first time customer here, it didn't feel like my needs were met, and it doesn't feel like I was fully informed of the Precision's processes and methods of operation. I ended up taking back my film and doing business elsewhere, where the employees that I discuss with know as much about film as one who runs the operation should. Not happy with my experience at all. Will not be returning. To justify my credibility in saying all that I've had to say, I've shot digital for 6 years now and am just now starting to focus on analog within the past year, so I have had my fair share of experience with camera stores throughout the years, and have had much better experience elsewhere.

The slowest staff you ll ever meet! It took us over one hour to buy Fujifilm Instax film... an item that is readily accessible at basically each check out counter... I had a work order form that was sent from the location in Southpark Meadows and when I brought the receipt with me to fulfill the order, every staff member kept referring me to someone else. No one knew what to do in getting me an item that was purchased at a different location to be picked up here at Anderson Ln. come here with time because you ll be here for a while... there is also no point in giving me a ticket number to be seen when they were never calling out the numbers. All in all not great customer service. :(

I was looking to restore a photo of my partner and his mom who has since passed for Valentine's day and emailed the photo lab from the email on the website for more details, but unfortunately received no response back. I called and left a message for the photo lab because no one was available to take my call, but received no call back. I am pregnant and trying to avoid physically visiting any places due to COVID risks, but since I wasn't able to get a hold of anyone, I had to go in. I spoke with someone at the photo lab about what I wanted, color restoration, removal of scratches, and the removal of some cut-off hands. I wasn't given any information, everything I discussed, I had to ask for. She told me the price, had me send my photo, and pay. I had to even walk back to get an ETA which she said would be 2 weeks which was only a few days after Valentine's day which was fine. She did not provide any documentation or even a receipt to me. Two weeks later, I received an email and a phone call stating that they either lost or did not have my original photo and asked me to email it to them, which I immediately did. I received no confirmation that it was received or anything at all. I called and again left a message for the photo lab that was not returned along with an email that was also not returned. I ended up emailing the manager of the photo lab and again did not receive any response. I forwarded that email again, this time attaching the store manager and finally received a response from the photo lab manager (not store manager). I received the photo back without the color correction, and sent another email stating that I had requested this when I paid, and was basically told that I didn't pay enough for that part of the service, even though I was told that was what I was receiving. We emailed a few times back and forth with several days between emails, often me sending another email before I got a response, all including the store manager, with no resolution. The last email that I received a response from was one week ago which I have sent 3 follow-up emails, left several messages with the photo lab, and a message with the store manager. I have not physically gone into the location because every time I call I am told that neither the store manager or photo lab manager is in and they do not know when they will be in the store. This has been over a month at this point and my experience from start-to-finish has been pretty bad. I would not recommend this store for this service to anyone.

Went in and guy at the counter was very pretentious and condescending about their products (despite me and my partner owning a production company and having a similar amount of knowledge.) Then when looking at rigging, two employees followed us to make sure we were not stealing despite not being suspicious and actively being engaging with each other about products we'd like to buy along with any employee we spoke to. Very disrespectful and beyond disappointed at how the employees conducted themselves. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

Precision Camera has never had amazing service, but I've been going for years to develop film and it has always been developed and scanned well. I decided to buy a used dslr for every day use. I went in on Saturday to pick one out, spent an hour there, and their terminal system was down. I put it on hold and came back the following day to pick it up. Inconvenient but I wasn't upset about it, things happen. The sales associate who helped me the next day was extremely rude and short with me, not listening to what I was explaining about the previous day. She had to try and locate my held camera for ten minutes. Eventually she came back with the model of the dslr I had on hold as well as a battery charger. Since it was also with an on hold slip I (wrongly) assumed it was the one I placed on hold. I paid, left, and when I arrived home a few hours later I opened up the battery compartment and there was no battery. The day before, in the model I had picked out, there was a battery. I asked if I would receive the battery. I was told I would. So not only did she end up knowingly giving me the incorrect on hold item, but she didn't check to ensure everything was there, and gave me a battery charger for...? Apparently not a battery. Precision Camera operates with little to no integrity and won't be getting another cent from me. They're fine for a one-off purchase, but I highly suggest staying away unless they are your only option.

My husband and I entered Precision extremely excited to check out this store. We planned on spending a decent amount of money for a tripod. We stood in line to check out and the first thing the cashier said to us was "Over here. Yeah, I'll take your money!" He proceeded to act arrogant towards us, and then tell us he's broken the exact same tripod we bought several times. So then we are thinking "Oh, so this $300+ tripod breaks easily?" His response was "Oh I break everything, though." Ok...? Then he proceeds to tell us his wife called and said she made spaghetti and that's all he can think about right now. He obviously didn't want to be there and only could think about going home. Not sure what his name was, but he was bald-ish and heavy-set. Extremely rude character working here. When we got home, the tripod wasn't functioning right. The platform would not hold our camera straight. Seems like there's a bolt or piece missing. We checked the package and there weren't any extra pieces. We will be taking this product back and most likely never shopping there again. This cashier should be thoroughly trained on customer service. As a rule, if you have customers spending hundred of dollars on your products, you should treat them with respect if you want them to keep coming back and refer others.

I went to Precision on the recommendation of a friend, who told me the staff would be able to help me find a good camera for my needs. Unfortunately, the customer service I experienced there today was awful. The guy I spoke to didn't seem at all interested in being helpful. He kept cutting me off and trying to rush the conversation, and he was openly rude and sarcastic whenever I'd ask a question or respond to one of his. I'd rather take my chances with an online retailer than have to deal with someone like that again.

I m sure the owner loves it when that happens.

Shrewd sales tactics, this would of been my first contact with this place, and I was actually excited that there was a place close that seemed to have what it is I may need along with classes. I have no experience in production and need equipment for my profession. All in all, one has 3 seconds over the phone to make an impact on me, if not I m gone. And I was disappointed my questions could not be addressed over the phone! I was instructed to come on in and we will go from there. While I understand the amount of inventory they have, I found it challenging to believe that a professional in this line of work could not provide any indication of what may best fit me needs with the areas that I would need to Video in. Becoming more and more uncomfortable that my questions could not be answered, I asked the inevitable, I asked the sales person, was he or did he have experience in this field? The response I received would of been grounds for me to revise how I train my employees. I know, your waiting to hear the response , here it is, use your own discretion on how you decide to make your purchase, this is what was said, Laughter, if I was a professional, I wouldn t be working here, this is a camera store! There you have it!

Hope you aren't needing help at the photo-lab........ I NEVER right reviews for a business so keep in mind the problem has two be pretty big for me to take this kind of time out. After years of shooting I decided to get back to shooting negatives for the fun and enjoyment I used to know as a photographer and thus I needed a photo lab. I have been sending my negatives to Precision because most of us know of very few places to get these things done if dealing with E6 or C-41. At first it was a matter of my order taking a bit longer than it used to or not getting a notification when clearly I asked for one, but these problems became consistant and all I got were apologies. Often enough if I managed to get in touch with someone at the photo-lab they would tell me the scans or processing was "JUST ABOUT TO BE DONE THAT DAY BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN SWAMPED WITH ORDERS" then I would receive only half of my order back. Keep in mind you have to pay for all of this when you drop it off so if you have a collection of negatives you could easily forget that you had made specific requests or multiple scans you needed. If you are not clear with them when you ACTUALLY GET SOMEONE ON THE PHONE you may not get all if what you ordered 2 weeks prior. Also know that the days they say it takes for these things to happen seem arbitrary considering it has never been done in that timely manner for me. It really does seem like these things are done at last minute. The photo-lab really seems like there is no sense of organization and no real head to the department. I understand that processing negatives is a dying art, but don't charge the prices you do if you can not achieve the results people are looking for. What has started as a quaint little thing to reconnect me back to some of my old cameras and why I got into my profession to begin with has turned into one of the biggest stressors outside of my work......THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT, PRECISION CAMERA! I guess now I will take the extra drive time to get my processing and scanning done.

Went to the counter for assistance to purchase a mic, informed the sales person Sony a6000, and was recommended the RODE mic. I'm a novice / newbie. Get home and realize they are not compatible. Called in, they did provide an option to buy a new sony mic, thus one star. But no return option. Great! (sense the sarcasm?)

You are the worst "professional" company I ever worked with. This is the second time in a row that you make me drive 20+ miles to pick up an order that was not ready or it was all messed up. There should be a better alternative than a lame people like yours. 20x30s? This confirm that you do not even know what customers are ordering. I order 20x24s and now that you are blaming "the customer" for your mistakes because I did not want to pick up "half of the order" when the lady in charge of my prints did not told me anything, that confirms your professionalism. Keep on doing what you are doing. Thanks you very much.

I had an awful experience here. no one greeted me when I walked in. No employees said anything to me or offered help when I was looking around the store. All I needed was a 3 pack of film and it took me about 30 minutes to get in and out when it should ve taken 5. Customer service is the worst; there are so many employees around the store yet no one helps. Definitely will not come back here.

"Order Declined" Found my way to Precision from a link on the Canon website, looking for a Canon EOS 5DSR, which is being closed out. The item was showing as available on Precision's website. I called to check - spoke to somebody who didn't seem to know too much - he just said "Yeah, if it is on the website we have it." The order went through online, and then was "declined" an hour later. This could be because they had no stock. It could be because my billing address and shipping addresses were different - not uncommon in the time of COVID. The thing is...who knows. I've gone back to B&H; they may be brusque, but I've never had a problem. So much for trying a new indie retailer.

Do not waste your money on their custom photo processing. You will get a machine print where they have adjusted the overall brightness or contrast ( often in the wrong direction) but nothing more. No shading or image enhancement or anything beyond what you can do yourself at any Walgreens or CVS pharmacy a lot faster, cheaper, and quicker. It is frustrating because you explain carefully what effect you are trying to achieve and the clerk indicates they can do it no problem. After receiving the prints back the first time, the results were poor and they agreed to redo them the second time. 5 of those 6 prints were worse than the first set. To compound the problem, the prints were not ready after being notified that they were ready. Net result was we paid $60, had to make 4 trips, 3 conferences and got 1 useful print. Skip the aggravation and go somewhere else

If you visit in person, no worries. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. However, attempting to order your photos through their online ordering system was a big Fail. It accepts your jpegs, gives you a 100% acceptance of your order selections, but then, when you click on upload to cart, you get a page which states that that page no longer exists. I called and was told that it might be the browser I was using, to try a different browser. I was using Chrome, so I switched to Firefox. Exact same thing happened. My only alternative is to put my one photo onto a thumb drive, drive all the way down there (I live outside of Austin), and enter my order at one of their kiosks. I've been ordering online from them for a number of years, though I haven't for about a year and a half. I'm extremely disappointed.

I wouldn't bother with their rentals. The guy in the rental department said they would need a $500 deposit to rent a canon speedlite 600 flash. If I had $500 to put down I would have just bought it seeing as that's about the price of a new one. He says that deposit is to rent anything.

Mailed my$1500 camera to this company at end of August, today is December 1st, I have had to contact them every time to get updates on what s going on, First call I was told 2 different things and found out after a month my camera had not been touched 3 more months go by, I finally call back and they try charging me almost $100 to clean the camera, but could not tell me what was wrong with it,??? Just said they had a note waiting for payment to clean.... I was ok with that if it would fix it, and when I ask that question, the lady says O I don t know, it just says you want it cleaned..... I mean seriously????? Over 4 months and still had done nothing... so I just ask for it to be mailed back.... so hopefully I will receive it... we will see.... Really aggravating that I have to start all over again, and when I told the lady just mail it back since you have no idea what s wrong, she was like.,.. Ok what s your address? There customer service and professionalism is awful.... worst company I have dealt with in years..... Don t let them waste your time.......

DO NOT GO HERE FOR PASSPORT PHOTOS Went for passport photos, the guy on the counter comes out after a couple minutes acting like it was a nuisance for me to be there, took my photo in no time, it looked a lot less professional than I expected, but what do I know...(Not to even mention when I went to pay the employees in front kept their conversation like I wasn t there and nobody offered to help. Only two people here treated me decently.) Anyway, went to get help expediting my passport and they say the photo looks too dark and won t be accepted... good thing I didn t mail my passport application by myself otherwise I would have lost around $200 in NON-REFUNDABLE application fees. I had to run to Walgreens for a new photo, with no makeup and my hair looking terrible bc otherwise wouldn t have my passport processed on time, but I guess at least it s a photo I will only have to live with for 10 YEARS!!!! Just go to Walgreens, they actually care that your photos meet the standards set for passport photos and the price is the same minus the arrogant photographer.

Very poor experience. I used their photo printing service specifically because the turn around time was 24 hours my job was time sensitive. After waiting more than a day to hear from them, I went back to the store on my own initiative. Of course, my single print wasn t completed due to printer issues that, of course, Precision Camera never had the courtesy to inform me about. There are other high quality print shops in town; you d do well to seek them out instead of Precision Camera.

Took photos to be scanned and copied. Was told this would be 5 days. What? When I asked why it would take so long the counter person shook her shoulders and looked perplexed. No answer. For the premium you pay at this store, seems there should be more knowledge and better service. Called 5 days later, told the photos weren't ready...after waiting on hold for 8 minutes and being hung up on twice. I should have taken this to Target.

I took my camera two weeks ago to this place so they could clean the sensor and I haven't been able to use it until today and guess what? The sensor is super dirty, tons of black dots which means there's all the dust inside so I paid for nothing? I am very dissapointed, worst service ever also I have read all the reviews about management so it's a waste of time for me to go back if they are not going to do anything about it,Please don't waste your money with this people,Look another better place for this kind of service,This is why they charge you ahead of time because their work is useless...I was your customer,I had bought lenses in there,a camera and several services from you but I guess I can find another place with better quality and better service,If it was for me your business deserves zero stars.

I finally decided to buy a film camera after years of deliberation. I thought Precision Camera would be the best place, hearing many great reviews. A salesman approached me and helped me locate the camera I wanted, he seemed to be quite arrogant and wasn't very helpful either - not even answering my questions clearly. I decided to buy the camera anyways since I had done some research and saw that Precision had the one I wanted at a decent price (Canon AE-1 $149.95). As I said I wanted to purchase the camera it was brought to my attention that there was no lens cap on the camera, so the guy gave me a random Sigma lens cap instead (it all fits the same anyways but this just adds to the list of things that didn't go right). I also purchased a battery ($12.99) for my camera, the arrogant salesman didn't even know what battery to put into the camera, so I had look it up on my phone. I also decided to ask about returns (14 days from date of purchase) since I kept in mind that used cameras have the possibility of having problems - maybe I jinxed myself. Excited to finally have my own film camera I loaded my film in and began shooting some pictures just hours after I buying it. I noticed that the advance dial was unresponsive, I kept testing shots and it stayed unresponsive. I bought the camera on a Friday and went back to get it fixed the following Monday. I waited in line for about 20 minutes before I was actually helped, but this time all the employees were very nice and helpful. At first they were about to charge me for the repair but I was not about to pay for a repair on a camera that I just bought days ago that I didn t even break. After letting the employee know that I only purchased it on Friday he waived the fee. This is so minuscule but at this point I'm already annoyed, so the employee who was helping me this time told me the guy who first sold me the camera apparently misspelled my name as well, who spells Tiffany with three Fs? The repair was only supposed to take 25min but apparently it was taking them a lot longer to figure out what was even wrong with it, so I decided to pick it up on Tuesday. Now here we are, back at home and I m about to load my film in and it won t work so I check the battery.... BIG SURPRISE MY NEW BATTERY I BOUGHT 4 DAYS AGO IS DEAD (keep in mind I only had the camera with me for 3 days and the other 2 days it was at Precision). OKAY NOW AS I'M SITTING HERE WITH MY CAMERA AND MY DEAD BATTERY THAT I JUST BOUGHT, I NOTICE A CRACK ON THE BATTERY COVER - not even possible for me to have broken in the less than 3 days I had it especially since the employee put in the battery FOR ME when I first bought it. Precision Camera should REALLY quality check and test their used cameras before selling them. I ll be going back to return my camera at Precision and finding a different seller to buy another film camera. I hope everyone else has better luck shopping at Precision Camera than I did.
