Best customer service i have experienced. i have been to Honda , Toyota to name a few but their from the Head Office is the best. I wrote my issue/problem with one of the dealer online through their contact us page and with in minutes Joseph Dorion called me and assured everything will be taken care of. He kept on hold and spoke to the dealer and the issue was resolved over the call. Now that's what i call 5 start customer service.

Keep up the good work KIA Canada.

I am starting to feel very disappointed with Kia. I purchased 2017 Kia Forte for my mother last year. Since that time, her break lights have failed numerous times (a few of which were during driving tests, which had to be rescheduled - and booking costs incurred).

My younger brother went on his own to Kia on the Danforth and purchased a used 2011 Kia Optima. A month later the vehicle stalled on the highway and has been sitting in their shop waiting for a replacement engine. We are now trying to return the vehicle (which was financed) and are being told that the value of the vehicle has decreased while it's been parked on their lot from $9888 to $6500 .... it will cost my brother $5,000+ to have Kia purchase the vehicle back.

I feel like the sales crew took advantage of a 20 year old that was eager to purchase a vehicle and they sold him a dud with outstanding recalls on it. They are forcing his hand to keep the vehicle as the cost to get out of the financing is almost the cost of the vehicle.

This is truly horrible. I am truly disappointed with Kia.

Love driving our 2015 KIA Soul, but it is not a dependable car. Soon after purchase it began having intermittent problems starting. Replaced the battery, tried to start in N, get a boost, even bought a booster pack....hit or miss. Have taken in for service. No help there, except to charge us $140 to run a diagnostic test (because we bought a battery from Costco instead of from KIA). No engine light, so no code to read. Funny, when we search the forums/reviews this is a very common, and yet unresolved, problem SINCE 2008!! Come on KIA! Get your act together! Will not purchase another KIA, and will be sure to share our experience with anyone looking for a new car.

After a year of owning a brand new kia, rust started coming up through the paint. Also the paint on the whole vehicle was very very thin, and chipped like crazy. Went to the dealer and they said Kia Canada would review it. I had to call the dealership three times over 4 months to see what was happening. And every time they "lost" my information. Finally talked to Kia Canada and they said it was the dealers problem. Bad customer service all the way around. They were rude and very abrupt with me.

Poor Service. Generic responses from Call Centre Staff. No empathy and the monotone was just as horrible. Spoke with an agent whose name was not understandable. The supervisor that came on the line was Sandy and she was so generic in her responses that it was almost hilarious and upsetting at the same time. Only after persisting on the call did she offer a call back from a manager by the name of James Britton who was apparently not at his desk, does not have voicemail and does not take direct emails. Only after pressing her further does she even take a call back number!

Issue. 2016 Kia Sorrento under warranty purchased brand new by my mother from Kia dealership in Surrey, BC. Tires are pealing at 12K and battery fault light illuminates while driving at random times. Car taken in to shop twice for same matter with photo proof and the issue cannot be replicated. Instead of swapping out the battery or replacing the sensor that is causing the problem, they said that she would be responsible for any costs for diagnostic if it does not replicate itself. How do you replicate a sensor that comes on and turns off by the time you get it to the dealer?

72 Year Old retired women on a fixed income whose last gift to herself after working years as a line cook and chambermaid was to buy herfirst new car after being in Canada for 45 years and she chose a Kia. Buyers remorse is very deep at this point when the resolution was probably only a 100-150$. Of course we will look after our mother, but shame on Kia!

BTW - Apparently Kia Canada is not part of any Kia Dealership and they cannot influence the way they handle these circumstances, but we are required for any warranty repair to return to a Kia Dealership?? Just because from a corporate structure you don't have a legal relationship for financial reporting doesn't mean you don't have a legal relationship through the system you have created to force consumers to a designated repair shop. What would a BC judge say?

I have written this review in its entirety and all I can hope is that anyone considering a KIA will think twice because other than the sale, there is no post care by the dealer or its corporate offices.

The call began with a effort to reach a resolution and it ended with nothing but dismay for a brand that has attributed its success to quality, but certainly doesn't care.

Wait for it. Here comes the generic response from KIA! If they actually correct their behaviour and reach a reasonable solution, I will be fair and ensure that it is posted.

UPDATE- Got a call back from James Britton from KIA Canada at 3:07PM on Friday, October 12, 2018. Left a message with a callback number of the call centre. No direct line. No extension. Called back and an associate said he was not available and he was off at 5PM eastern.

Don't buy a KIA!

Bought a brand new Kia in April 2014. The car is burning oil. Plaza Kia Richmond Hill tells me that they have to replace the engine. The car is still under the original 5 year/100,000 km warranty. With them putting in a new engine they are not willing to give a warranty past the original 5 year warranty......ON A NEW ENGINE!!! The customer service at the head office is absolutely absurd. They are rude and monotone and show no empathy or emotion. I was asked by the lady I was speaking too "is that what you are calling for" like what I was telling her was not important at all. KIA CANADA SUCKS and so do their cars!! Keep far away and purchase something decent. PS this is not the first issue that I have had with this vehicle either.

Do not deal with Petawawa Kia. Terrible customer service. I was going to lease a Kia, but after meeting the dealership that would service the car have decided to lease from Toyota. Really bad attitude. 0 stars if I could.
Also, called Kia Canada for information. Was put on hold for 30 minutes. Totally unacceptable for customer service.

As a "rule", kia does not provide a loaner car when they are doing warranty work. I called to verify this stupid rule, and they tried feeding me a line about how no manufacturer would ever give a loaner out for warranty work.

Bold faced lie, VW and Subaru have done it for me for years.

Don't lie to customers, and even if thats a rule, that doesn't make it okay.

Won't be buying another kia ever, the car will be down 4 days and they're acting like it's our fault.

On May 25 my 2016 Kia sorrento malfunctioned and locked itself with my 4 month old baby in the car. It was 33 degrees outside. I had to call 911 and it took 24 minutes to get him out. The remote starter was the issue for the malfunction. Kia Canada has basically told me they know about this issue but take no responsibility because it s an after market product. At no point in time did anyone say anything to me about an after market product. When I leased the car brand new one of my stipulations for signing the lease was a remote starter. I have been treated horribly during this whole process. I sat down with the sales manager at Grimsby Kia finally on Wednesday of this week to discuss my options. I can either take the car back without the starter or purchase a new vehicle. If I purchase a new vehicle they will waive my fees for breaking the lease early and they appraised the car at 19k. I called today and asked what the fees were if I choose to just break my lease and not purchase another Kia. I was told they made a mistake and my car is actually appraised at 17k plus I d have to pay $500 in fees and the difference in what the car is worth compared to what is owed (roughly 6k in total) because Kia Canada would not step in and help me in any way. I do not feel safe putting my children back in this vehicle or any other Kia at this point. I called Kia Canada on several occasions. The customer service manager, Sandy, said they would not reduce the fees or pay to have the starter replaced. It was an unfortunate event and They will not do anything as the problem is fixed . The way she handled this was disgusting. Do not purchase a Kia!!!!

Kia dealerships all have different prices to repair same items. Tried to buy a replacement programmed key for a 2007 Sedona prices began at $168 in Pickering to $450 in Georgetown. Prices somewhere in between in Brampton and Brockville. This is totally ridiculous for a key. I will never purchase another Kia due to lack of consistant service costs. I found a company (not Kia) that made me a programed key for $39.00.

Very disappointed in my KIA Rondo purchase, if I had it to do over again I would not buy a KIA. I purchased my vehicle in 2012 and it broke down on me this week and I am looking at having to replace the motor, after only 6 years. This car has be nothing but problems since I got it. Everything has fallen apart bit by bit over time due to the cheap quality of the parts used to build this car. If you are considering purchasing a KIA Rondo, please do not do it.

I've owned various brands of cars over the past 40...

I've owned various brands of cars over the past 40 years. Our family's last 6 vehicles have been purchased and serviced by Kia. Due to a unexpected breakdown on my 4 year old vehicle, I had to call on Kia Canada through my dealership, Trento Kia. Having dealt with waranty issues with other manufacturers, I was expecting a drawn out process of getting the vehicle repaired. To my pleasant surprise, Trento Kia service department assessed the damage and my car was repaired and running like new within a few days, no questions asked. This experience has fortified my faith in the product and the organization that stands behind it. Automobiles have and will always have issues otherwise there would be no service departments. Great to know they are there when you need them. I commend the people behind the counter to be courteous and professional.

Kia Canada please tell me why Kia dealerships are not abided to adhere to your warranty? Kia dealerships are all privately owned and operated and they can unilaterally chose not to put work under warrantly at their discretion. Why even have warranty if this is the case? And then when a dealership acts in an ilegal manner, whereas they don't even tell you they are not putting something under warranty and you all of a sudden have to pay when you pick up your car (surprise)...and Kia Canada has no authority or jurasdiction over any of the Kia dealerships to do anything about it. Please tell your customers why this is, and why they should buy a Kia vehicle under these conditions?

My experience so far with a 4 month old car... Aft...

My experience so far with a 4 month old car... After trading in my Hyundai Tucson to Kia for a Sedona SX+, a month goes by and the dealership still had not made the payment to Hyundai to buy out the vehicle. I was getting charged my payments, despite no longer owning the car. Super frustrating as we spent a month going back and forth between Kia and Hyundai to get this resolved. I put a stop payment on the account) and of course got a letter in the mail from Hyundai stating my missed payments would be sent to collections after 30 days month 3 of owning the car, the engine light came on. Took it to the dealership and they cleared the error code and sent us on our way. Month 4 of owning the car the engine light came on again this time the code could not be cleared and a part in the transmission needs to be replaced. The part is backordered and the car cannot be driven. They estimate the part will only arrive Feb. 15th.. over a month from when we dropped it off (Jan 10). They have provided us with a base model Toyota Sienna to drive in the meantime. The issue we have is that Kia Canada limits the daily rental rate at $30 a day, so all the vehicles that would have the same features as mine (SX+) are not within that price range (we were told by the rental company the shop rate for something better would be $55-60/day). If we only had to have a rental for 1-2 weeks it would not be an issue and we would make do... but since we are looking at being without our vehicle for over a month (which means two bi-weekly payments) we would expect to be in a vehicle that is in the same price range as the car we are paying for. We ve explained to Kia Canada that we bought the car we did because we have a 17month old & a 4month old and wanted the additional space and safety features. I asked the manager at Kia Canada if they could raise the daily rental rate. I was told no. I asked if they d reimburse us part of our payment. I was told no. I asked if she called to tell me that they could basically do nothing for us. The reply I got was we ve provided you alternate transportation. Sure, a van with no extra safety features and has no winter tires for us to drive with two kids after a big snow storm! At this point we are stuck paying for a car that we can t drive and are driving a vehicle that is not like-for-like with none of the same safety features since they will not raise the daily rate to accommodate. We were so excited when we got the car but looking back it has been nothing but a headache since day 1 of owning it. Overall, it has been an extremely frustrating experience and I can say this is the first and last Kia we will own.

I have a 3 year old kia sportage that I purchased new. After 3 years of dilligent oil changes it's broke down due to an engine that has run out of oil! I'm slightly over my 100k warranty and they refuse to fix it. After speaking to numerous mechanics I've been told this should NEVER happen to a vehicle so new. This must have been a manufactures defect but nobody will own up to it. Kia is a terrible vehicle and not worth the money. Don't buy a kia! Buyer beware.

Thanks for asking me to call you directly! That's exactly the problem! I've been talking to kia consumer care and you don't care!! It's clearly a manufacturers defect but kia won't acknowledge it.

I'm on my 4th Kia and, until this one, I've been fairly satisfied but there is something very wrong with my AM Radio, with a crackle everytime I hit the slightest bump. It doesn't happen with FM, media, XM or phone, just AM. This is very disappointing, because I almost exclusively listen to AM radio in the car.

I have been pushing my Kia service department for almost a year and a half, but they can't seem to find a solution. They are definitely a good service department to work with but, as they couldn't figure out the problem yet, I contacted Kia Canada. Their response, while professional, is effectively that I can only continue to take the car into that or any other Kia dealership and, if they can't fix it, oh well.

I have seen an end to my run of Kias as there is clearly no support from head office, so I'm stuck paying for a car with a dud radio. Future car shopping will certainly only include brands that have domestic escalation support. Too bad... I otherwise liked Kia.

we just got 2020 rio 5 with stick . why did Kia not put on GDI on this model. my 2012 Rio 5 with 200'000 km had more get up go. I am disappointed with this model year,it not what I expected. I just hope they go back to GDI it still the best system I have seen.

I think many of these bad reviews with 1 star are fake. Maybe, the competition invading Google reviews? Anyway, I bought a new 2018 KIA Sportage from Mississauga KIA and it's worked flawlessly since the day I bought it. The salesman was excellent and so was the whole car buying experience at this dealership. I highly recommend this dealership.

Bought my car March 2016; travelled for work and put over 100,000 kms on it; at 113,000 kms engine started 'ticking' and seized. Regular oil changes, maintenance, etc. Kia Canada said recall not on Rondos (my model) just Sorrento, Soul, and a few others so I'm out of luck. $10,000 to replace my engine. From the first day I purchased this car I had nothing but problems - it had 45km on it and they had to replace the battery, various other issues - Kia Red Deer had it for a month trying to solve the electrical problems & the car always locked in Park. Kia Canada refused to give me another car within that 30 day purchase period claiming it was the Dealerships responsibility. The GM at Kia Red Deer, AB said he would "trade" the new car for another. I am beyond angry! Kia Canada does NOTHING to help consumers - they are interested in selling crappy cars to unsuspecting buyers and when the engines fail, after a year or less, you are out of luck. And if your car isn't on their 'recall' list they have NO SYMPATHY for you. NEVER BUY A KIA!!! I will NEVER make that mistake again.

Funny how - the companies don't realize but Google reviews make a lot of a difference. Its like Negative marketing by poor established customer service per these reviews. To me After Sales support matters a lot.

We have a protest in the planning stages to find out more go to @KiaCanadaProtest on facebook. Our story is: our car was purchased July 2017 at Grimsby in November it started to rattle significantly. No repairs where made. Still under warrenty it was to go back in for diag of the rattle and to replace a bad window regulator. The day before the appointment it died while driving. Oh and it will randomly trap you either in or out of gears. And the fun begins, today it still rattles, it still traps out of gear, and i have no faith that it wont die again. As of today all my main concerns are still there. They have replaced a fuel pump, a window regulator, the alternator 2 times, a battery, a 150 amp fuse 3 times, an engine harness, engine has been replaced, the intake manifold, the flex pipe, o2 sensor, they claimed the head was sent for repair, the car runs like a pile and sounds like a tank. 93000 km on it I have put on 12000 which was done last year. this year i have put on 2000 all year. I have still left repairs out such as replacment of keys. Nothing is fixed. I have gotten my car back a total of 14 times and it's always the same thing. We had a rental for a while but they stopped with that as well. Moral of the story is the car is a lemon as are many many many other kias. I love love my sportage when it runs but I'm doomed to be left with massive car repairs or with out a car. The dealer it self has been helpful, some employeys are better than other but over all the dealer ship is ok. Kia canada on the other hand needs to stop putting people physically at risk and finacially ruined. We need to stand up as we will only have strength in numbers.

I haven t had my car for 6 months because they said I needed a new engine. For months now they have kept saying oh in a couple weeks and In a couple weeks still no engine. I am 20 years old and I go to college so you see why this is so annoying!!!! Whenever I call they never give me an answer and they aren t trying to do anything about getting me my car back!

DO NOT BUY KIA! you will be SORRY!!! I Have a Kia Forte 2013 which I bought in brand new. it is only 160,000km now. The engine comes noise. we bring back to dealer to inspect. They said must has to replaced the engine. I can t believed it be told the 6 years old car that the engine already dead. You can imagine what is the quality in this brand.
The Kia Canada customer service is HORRIFIC. I have called their line but I wait for more than one hour it still no one answer the phone. I rather I can rating zero star for them.

A customers car was crashed to the point of write off at foster Kia. They refuse to help this customer and told him to call his insurance company. To further this he is paying for his own rental car. This is absolutely disgusting, Kia Canada "doesn't want to get involved". What a joke, absolutely the worst Canadian car manufacturer. Would never recommend Kia to anyone. Media has be involved.

The customer service for this Main contact center is HORRIFIC... I have been on hold for and hour and a half.... I finally get through to someone and now I am on hold again....THIS IS UNEXCEPTIONABLE... TWO HOURS OF MY TIME WAITING ON THE PHONE TO GET HELP!!! Hire enough staff to be able to handle your "HIGH" call volume! Ever hear that consistency is key to customer service.....provide your customer with the same experience we receive at the dealer ship! Their Vice President carved time out of his busy day to call me and gift me with a genuine apology on behalf of Kia. His professionalism, kindness, respect, and empathy will never be forgotten. Thank you Mr. Lancaster and the rest of the Kia executives who took my complaint seriously and made it a priority to repair Kia's name by swiftly resolving my issue.

Deplorable, I had to waste time working for wheel bearing problems today, yes wheel bearing on a 16300 km car, great, I will have to waste time again next week to have the wheel bearings changed because there were none in stock. Well done!!! this is the first and the last strong kia that I buy nothing because we are not able to provide me with a car so that I can return to my work

I bought a brand new 2016 Kia a few years ago and never really had any problems until now. I went to the kia dealership in barrie and explained to them the excessive amount of oil i was going thru. I provided kia with my documents showing i faithfully had a oil change every 5.000km. They did a oil consumption test and the service manager could not believe the amount of oil i was going thru, i kept coming back once a week sometimes twice a week to get topped up. i tried talking to several people about the possibility of getting the engine changed because i heard thru numerous people that they got theirs changed because the motor seized, but they were just giving me the run around. The service manager in barrie was exceptional but everyone else in upper management was just brutal, i mean really brutal. I even contemplated trading my car in to get another one, but after the lack of treatment i recieved by the higher ups i decided to take my business elsewhere.

I have had a few different models in the past 10 y...

I have had a few different models in the past 10 years and cannot say enough good things about them. Year over year they get better.
It is unfortunate that the reviews that are poor have not experienced what I have. I have also driven BMW, Jaguar, LandRover and I have to say I prefer my SX Soul any day. I do wish they made a convertible :)

My wife recently purchased a 2020 KIA Soul EV. Since taking delivery of the car on September 12, 2019 I've been trying to purchase precision formed floor mats for the passenger compartment and have reached out to KIA Canada's Customer Service department at minimum on 4 occasions to gain information as to when these items will become available. After waiting on average 20 minutes for an agent to come on the phone, I still have no satisfactory answer as to when these mats will be available. KIA Canada Customer Service also did not provide me with the correct function of the "P release," button. This is used when the vehicle is being towed and I hope Customer Service takes note. Compared to Toyota Canada, Land Rover and BMW, KIA Canada's customer service is lacking in providing me with timely and satisfactory information concerning this matter and deflect responsibility to KIA Korea. Will update this review should this situation be resolved. At present, this seems unlikely.

I bought a Kia Soul EX from Kia at Longman's in Markham. It only has 2000 kilometers on it as we speak. I took it into a Canadian Tire to get an oil change because the dealership close to me couldn't fit me in for a week, and was informed my right licence plate light was missing, and had never been there. They shone a light inside and were sure it had never been installed. I took it to Kia Lindsay and was told I had to take it to the dealer I bought it from. They wanted nothing to do with it. Despite what I'd been told by two mechanics at CT, this woman at Lindsay Kia said how did they know it wasn't stolen. She didn't even shine a light up in the hole to see for herself. I explained to her what was said, and that the car, other than my driveway, has only even been in the Lindsay mall parking lot in daytime, for no more than a half hour at a time. It was an unpleasant experience to say the least. There was no friendliness... only adversarial attitude. I was shocked and disappointed. I called Kia Canada because I had assumed I could take my car to any dealer for my warranty, and was met with the same attitude. It wasn't their problem. I was offered no assistance... only the recommendation that I should take the car to the original dealer... and that no, I didn't buy a car from Kia Canada, and there was nothing they could do. They are simply the manufacturer. So, my only option is to drive four hours round trip for something Kia is responsible for. I'm 63 years old with health issues, and I don't drive at night, and I try to avoid traffic. All this for a simple licence plate light! This is utterly shocking to me, after having dealt with most major car companies throughout my life, who went out of their way with their service. Yup... it's my problem... not theirs. I can not in good conscience ever recommend Kia to anyone. If they are this unhelpful with such a small thing, I can't imagine what they'd be like with a larger issue. I am thoroughly disgusted, and have decided my wife's new car will be a Chev.
My rating is actually 'zero stars' after these two interactions.

Quick to sell you their award winning vehicles and fancy warranty but when it comes to that shiny piece of metal rusting out after less than three years they will throw you to the wolves and repeatedly tell you that it's not covered under the warranty when you are fully aware of that but just want them to admit there is a fault with material. If you had a positive experience with KIA you should buy a lottery ticket because you don't realize how lucky you are and the BS you avoided. If you've had a negative experience with KIA you have my utmost sympathy.

I will never buy another kia again! Just purchased a new Kia and the speedometer is way off. Apparently that's acceptable to Kia Canada and they won't cover it under their warranty. I had to pay to diagnose the issue with the vehicle and it was proven faulty. The company finds this problem somehow acceptable so I'm stuck with the bill and an inaccurate speedometer. Seriously?!? When your in the market for a Kia, you need to be aware of their 5 year and 100 k bumper to bumper warranty. Sounds great, right? Except apparently manufacturer defects are not covered by simply saying "it is acceptable to Kia Canada."
I thought Kia had been working on improving their quality and customer service but, I am just left very disppointed.

Sadly, I have to underrate my 2012 Kia Soul because from the very beginning, I have had more issues than should be from a new car. In the first year, my entire back door rusted and had to be replaced under warranty. I have changed my brakes 4 times officially, and repairs done in between. Both electronic key broke, and I was told it was $350 to replace one. Many engine parts needed pre-mature replacing, the seat-warmer recall, and on and on it goes.
I really like the car for its room and maneuverability, but I would not buy another one. The dealerships in London, ON are not helpful or kind, either. I wish the makers of this potentially amazing car would listen to the consumers and incorporate the needed changes because the car has so much potential.

You get what you paid for with KIA and know that there is a price to pay for cheaper products. At the end of the day this is a n affordable option for a reason but for a little more money you can have a better more reliable vehicle. Any brand is better than Kia/Hyundai.

I spoke to Sandy Dumolin, who said she is empowered by the President of KIA Canada to answer all of his complaints and would not provide me with someone above her to contact or another channel to express my concerns for how poorly the service is a the dealership level for service for an item that should be fixed under the warranty. She was condescending and rude to me over the home and unsympathetic to my situation. She provided no help and will not assist with just getting my car fixed so I can move on. BE CAREFUL! If you get mad and complain, they will refuse to deal with you. THEY HAVE NOT SEEN THE LAST OF THIS!!!!

When you purchase a vehicle with back up sensors apparently the wires for the censors hang suspended in the air between the bumper and the bumper cover. The wires on my car were chewed up and not working and when i took it in (still under the 5 year/100,000km warranty) they told me this is not covered by warranty, it is a VERY common issue, and they wanted to charge me for an HOUR of labour to find this "very common issue"
I called Kia Canada to voice my concerns about this not being covered by warranty and was totally blown off and told I could call back in later once I got my car back from the dealership. When I asked IF I did call back would I get any help with this issue the person I was talking to told me "probably not".
So far this company customer service BLOWS!!! Very unwilling to help you in any way, shape or form. NOT HAPPY!

Horrible service doesn't care to retain customers. They made a mistake by not sending me out a pre paid card to the correct address and as a result it was compromised and all the money I was entitled on it was stolen. I had to follow up with them several times as they Almost never got back to my emails. At the end of the day they didn't own up to their mistake and now I'm 200 dollars short. Shame really they lost a customer over 200 dollars for their own mistake. Will never buy Kia and will never recommend it to anyone I know now.

In June of 2016 I leased a new KIA Sportage from KIA Peterborough. Everything was working just fine until around the end of July I went to Sarnia and on my way back my air conditioning quit just as I got on the 407 Hwy. Next morning I was going to go to KIA but when I started the car the air was working and it kept on working thinking that it was probably a computer glitch I didn't bother to go to the dealer. A month or so later around Sept 19 we went to Niagara Falls and on my way back the air quit again on the QEW. Next day I called KIA and the service Manager told me to come in on Thursday. They took my vehicle in and within 20 minutes he came to me and said that a stone had hit the compressor and all the fluid had leaked out,he then proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay for it or put it through my insurance. I then started asking questions. Why did it keep working after the first time it happened? No answer other than a stone hit it.How did you find out? We gave it a pressure test. I asked how could you give it a pressure test if there is no fluid in it? We know what we are doing nothing further, He then took me to the garage I got on my knees and looked up on a 45 degree angle to try seeing what he was pointing to. I even put on my reading glasses to see more clearly but saw nothing. (he was convinced,me not so) My Insurance agreed to pay their portion but I refused to pay the deductible ,he worked it out somehow how I didn't care at that time. I told him I was going south for the winter and was sure he hadn't fixed my problem. Two months later I left for Florida for the winter,on our way through Alabama it got really warm so my wife turned on the air after an hour the fan shut down and wasn't blowing. Next morning I tried running it again and it was working. (guess they expected me to turn around and come back to Canada) It worked fine driving around the city on 30 and 40 minute trips but in February we went to Mississippi a 3 hour drive and after an hour and a half it quit blowing again. Right about now I could strangle that service man in Canada. Upon my arrival back to Florida it was back working but I called the KIA dealer there anyway,they asked me to be there by 8 AM next day before they got busy it was a 45 minute drive. When I arrived at the service desk there were to men one at each end of the counter. I started telling the guy on the right my story of how this was fixed by KiA in Canada<Ha,Ha. and now the same thing is happening in the US , the man on the left spoke up instantly and said your problem is easy to fix, every time you go on a long drive of over a hour or more if it is very hot your compressor freezes up and after sitting for three or four hours thaws out and starts working again.We have that problem quite often here in the US, to fix this we have to do a computer adjustment but before we can work on your car we have to get the OK from KIIA Canada. Not knowing how long it would all take I had to rent a car for the day. Next morning I picked my my FIXED vehicle. I know it was fixed because it ran for 6 hours when leaving Florida to come home. Two days ago I went to the manager of Peterborough KIA . I told him that what his Service manager caused me to do was not necessary because I have proof with me as to what the problem was. He said he would not compensate me anything for my inconveniences because he has full confidence in his staff and besides it has been six months since they worked on my vehicle and anything could have happened. He had an answer for everything not realizing that the customer is always right no matter how wrong, If you have a KIA and need repairs or warranty work I suggest you go elsewhere. Don't be taken advantage of like this old senior citizen. I owned cars before they were born.

I wish to share the amazing customer service experience I recently had with Kia Canada. I own a 2015 Kia Soul SX Luxury which I absolutely love! Earlier this month I got into my car and noticed the Malfunction Indicator (check engine) Light was on. This is the 4th Kia I have owned and I had never seen the light before but was told by my boyfriend if it is a solid light it should be okay to drive home and to have it checked out asap. My vehicle was inspected the next day by the service department who long story short, told me I would need a new engine. My car had only 69,000 km's so this really surprised me. I was even more surprised to learn that replacing the engine could run in the area of 5 figures. They also recommended I purchase a new vehicle over fixing it.
I decided to contacted Kia Canada directly to see if this would be covered under warranty and was rather upset at the time I called due to the loss of my transportation and the impending expense. I spoke with Gloria who was so amazing to deal with! She listened and empathized with my situation and assured me she would look into this and get back to me with an answer. I made a point of letting her know I had been a loyal Kia customer for several years and that this was my 4th Kia purchase. She really took the time to listen to me, told me she would investigate and get back to me and I was later advised the engine replacement would be covered under warranty, no questions asked. I was put into a rental car after learning the bad news about my vehicle and when I learned that it could be up to 3 weeks before parts were received by the service department and the engine was replaced, I again contacted Gloria to see if Kia Canada would cover the cost of my rental. Gloria approved this and stated because I had owned 4 Kia's already and am a loyal customer that it would only be right that they take good care of me and cover this expense which they did!
I am not writing this positive review because my engine and car rental costs were covered, though this was definitely a factor, I am doing so because I experienced exemplary customer service from Gloria! Her telephone manner and patience with me, her listening skills, her acknowledgement that I had been a loyal customer and her follow through in ensuring I was taken care of is what motivated me to write this. I also wish to mention that there is something to be said about loyalty in a world where we do not see this as much as we once did. I will likely eventually be purchasing a 5th Kia. I have enjoyed the product and by being in 2 different rental cars that were different makes than my Kia, it made me appreciate my Kia even more.
Thank you Gloria and Kia Canada for taking care of one of your loyal customers. Gloria should be training customer service skills to others as I have had so many not so positive experiences and this was so much in contrast with what I used to. She truly was a pleasure to deal with and I want her AND Kia Canada to know how appreciative I am!

I have very bad experience with Kia I have a Kia Forte 2018 and still under warranty,1st I run out from oil engine because Kia dealerships services are not close screw will wile changing oil & that cost me 1 day sending the car back to fix the issue without say sorry even it s not my mistake, 2nd I have leakage oil from the caliber rer brake once I call to take nearest appointment it was after 2 days and I m using the car for my work & it s not safety to still drive with this safety issue,I decided to change it on the nearest mechanic shop and I brought the old replacement to refund 160$ only from them with invoice & they refused to do.
That was with kia401 Dixie,
This is last time to have Kia car. I m very unhappy with service.

People got forgotten to be called when service is done , people spending 3-4 hours at dillership , with car ready in hour....??? Employee just being rude over the phone....My wife said "I do not want to go there anymore".... I love Kia , what happened!!!!???

I went to Foster Kia with my 2015 kia Cadenza. The spring on the shock broke. Two years back the driver side broke as well and since it was under warranty they fixed it. Looking online a lot of people who own a cadenza seems to have this issue which the dealership refuse to agree on. Since it was out of warranty they quoted me $1437.39 with tax to fix it. Saying there are so many parts that need to be replaced. I took my car to my personal mechanic and got the same part and fixed it for less than $600 with taxes. Also all the parts they said needed changing didn't need changing at all. Kia should take ownership of this spring issue as this seems to be a defect in the product. My mechanic said that he has never got car where a spring had completely snapped in two and that this definitely is a defective part. Wish kia acknowledges this and puts out a recall to have this issue fixed for cadenza customers. For buying a premium car the service received was not great at all. This is my 2nd car at this dealership and was thinking of getting my 3rd as well. Never again will I be going to this dealership. Be warned everyone. Always get a second opinion.

Unfortunately, I can not say that your customer service exceeds the expectations of your customers. Following a bad assessment of fuel consumption on your part, you have committed to offer a refund program ... which seems to require greater rigor and attention on your part.

Following my initial request in December 2015, from the Kia dealer in Brossard, I still have not received the refund card. This situation began following the initiative of your dealer's representative to change my address, to which I had never given my consent. Following multiple phones with your customer service since March 2016 to date, I still have not received the card in question. Your customer service department did not consider it important to respond to my July 25 call with a concrete commitment to resolve the situation.

In my opinion, this is unacceptable since you do not respect your commitments and offer an aberrant customer service. This will definitely be my last Kia car and I do not recommend your company for buying a car.

After many years of Honda Accords, I switched brands to a KIA Optima. I actually have to go to a dealership on the other side of town from where I live because the dealership down the street from me is poor at setting expectations communicating and keeping agreements. Several times I would drop my car off (I normally do 8am drop offs) and ask a realistic time frame for getting my car back. They would set the expectation of picking up my car before lunch and I had to call at 4pm asking if my car was finished. The last straw was having a remote start installed I got fed up and just showed up at about 7pm asking if I can have my car and miraculously it was finished, no one thought to call me and let me know. They almost made me miss an exam that day. I find a lot of dealerships in the brand I deal with are quite indifferent when they are not meeting expectations that they have set. The dealership where I bought my car from put permanent marker on my tint when I pointed out it wasn't done properly instead of re doing it. The one dealership I take my car to was the one that pointed the tint out to me (they are not all bad). Another dealership held my car for over a month to deal with a cam shaft sensor sensor and fuel pump. I was out a car most of that month as they were out of loaners and only got a rental once I started calling customer service daily (after several weeks of waiting for my car to be repaired) and even then they hid behind policy (no rentals until a part requested is on back order) and kicked me out of the rental just under a week. O your grandmother is dying an 1hr / 1hr 1/2 drive away and you need a car to go visit her? Sorry we can't do much to help you as our policy states... etc. It was so bad that customer service told me to call the dealership as well (I felt like he was tired of hearing from me) to get things moving. One day I spoke to customer service they told me tomorrow as they had just got off the phone with the dealership and I called the dealership to confirm. Dealership said a different day and I had to call back customer service and ask what was going on. That was the second time I got a rental and it was for only a day or so and I had to again return it before getting my car back. Not even going to my grandmother's viewing before she was sent back to Jamaica granted me stay in the rental long enough (my car was finished and I couldn't pick it up until a day or two after they said the car was ready because of the event). When I finally got my car back (after 30+ days at this point) to add insult to injury, the final exclamation point of their lack of professionalism, was giving my car back with an empty fuel tank, with the gas light on! After over two years of ownership this is only stuff that is top of mind. I should have cancelled my order from the moment the dealership dented my door before I took delivery and tried to say it was their before. The only dealership I can now deal with is the Waterloo Ontario one. It is very unlikely I buy a KIA again though. It's a shame as the Stinger and Sorento look nice and have great room for my large frame but I'm now looking to avoid both Hyundai and KIA to stay out of their dealership network.

Purchased a vehicle through Kia Orilla and it was the absolute worst decision I ve made. There main concern was just pushing the vehicle out the door and making a sale they don t care about customer service at all. They didn t properly explain any of the servicing on the vehicle and when I called in to book my first oil change on the Vehicle they told me I had went over my Kms and possible voided my warranty and that the owners manual which came with my vehicle was wrong and it s American based and not to follow that but follow the schedule on their website which is funny because their website actually says to refer to owners manual that comes with the car and they also told me I had to service my vehicle specifically at a plaza dealer which made no sense. I proceeded to call Kia Canada and spoke to a lady who was actually amazing she was a great help and she explained everything to me and I called orilla back and the guy told me she was wrong and said we are just going over the same stuff here man he came off super rude I wouldn t ever recommend shopping at this particular dealership period. I will just be doing service through another dealership altogether. I m just so done with all this all I wanted to do was book an oil change lol. I purchased my previous vehicle through Subaru in Peterborough and it was fantastic they explained everything right off the bat when I bought the car and never had any issues they were amazing to deal with and they were more customer service oriented they didn t just try and make a sale. My point is I will not buy another Kia after this headache and if you choose to don t purchase at this dealership.

Worst customer service of all other brands that I know of and they don't even back their 5 years warranty as none of them want to claim any of it. Went to airport/Brampton and 401 Dixie Kia and all had horrible service, management and appointment scheduling follow by slow and dirty service making your car in and out even more dirty before you brought it in. Last kia purchase ever! got a 2015 kia sedona paint peel on front bumper none want to deal with it and took over 4 months to get an approval then they tell you have to pay for your own rental car for the duration of the warrantable body shop repairs lol. Window wind noise both sides and of the 3 dealers none of them could fix this issue and made grease stains all over the interior mouldings... Also did a recall on power sliding doors, now my doors get stuck and unable to lock itself such jokes and grease stains on the interior panel as well. How do they manage to get rated one of the best customer service when I never received a single survey? Sad sad worst purchase in my life can't wait to sell it... just looking at all the kia dealers out there, they are so old and outdated why did I even help them out and purchase a vehicle? They are either cheap or poor, something we should keep in mind for our next purchases.
