When my power went out, Vivint let me know when the power was on again. That was very thoughtful.

When my power went out, Vivint let me know when the power was on again. That was very thoughtful.
The glass break sensor is not working, I have had three different installs and every time there is a sensor that has issues...... Also a brand new garage door opener was installed at my new home and somehow the vivint system isn't compatible with the liftmaster myQ system.....
I have had my Vivint system for 6 years now and I like it so much I convinced friends to opt for their service as well. They are very polite and patient (like when I was changing my battery and I had to call them twice). I would recommend them.
This is the thing, I love Vivint products but I hate their sales guys. The other day one salesman came and he got into the house and he was so pushy! The he was on and on and on trying to sell us. I know that the owner was a great sales guy but is not reason for their sales rep to not respect when people says no. I have Vivint security system and we love it, but when it comes to their sales rep I will say poor customer service
I was introduced by my daughter and have had it for several years. I love the features and the service. If my recommendation counted I would rate them a 10+.
Owned this system for a couple of months now. Best security system I've owned so far with tech that's light years ahead of the competition. We've already had two false security alarms but in both cases Vivent contact us immediately to make sure everything was ok. Reassuring to know they're that quick if and when a true emergency is caught. My only minor knock would be that their video feed can't do live on the remote app yet, which would help customers monitor their homes real time while away.
I have been with Vivant over a year now. I love how it is so easy to use. Will eventually add the doorbell video & another keypad door lock.
It's a great place to work. It's full of kind, hard-working people who love their job.
We have had Vivint home security for a number of years and have been very satisfied with them. We feel secure while we are at home and away. When I would call them for some reason, they were always very helpful and the situation was resolved. Recently we had Vivint install the doorbell camera, which is connected to the security monitor by WiFi. It did not work very well and we then discovered our internet provider was not fast enough to handle the doorbell. We then changed our internet provider to Vivint, which was fast enough, and when the tech came to the home and installed the equipment, the WiFi needed to be connected to the security monitor so the doorbell camera would work. He did not know how this was done, all he said he could do was connect the internet. Luckily, it connected by itself but the camera still did not work correctly. I called the customer service and they walked me through to make sure the panel was connected to the WiFi. Once they saw it was connected, I was then told I needed to contact the internet people because the problem must be with the internet. I did and they checked the internet and all was what it was suppose to be and it had the speed necessary to properly work the doorbell camera. At present, the doorbell camera works some of the time but not all so I do not know what to do at this point. What Vivint needs to do is have the internet people know about the security panel so when they install internet and the people have security, especially the doorbell camera, they can deal with it and make sure it is set up properly and is functioning. It is a pain to have to go through 2 different areas to try and get a problem solved because usually it will not get fixed. Each side blames the other for the problem.
Vivint has been a huge disappointment to me. I ordered and paid for a doorbell camera to add to my system. When the technician came to install it he was in a rush to try and get it done. Then he could not make it work so he gave up on it and said that it could not be done. He broke my original doorbell when he was taking it off so now I have no doorbell, I have just two wires sticking out of the wall. Now I have to go purchase a new doorbell because he did not have the knowledge to install the equipment which is what his job is, it is pathetic. He also tracked mud into my home and ruined a new rug that I had just purchased.
Then on top of all that, I don't even know how Vivint handled refunding my money that I bought the doorbell with and there was and never has been any communication on money transactions to my checking account when something like this comes up.
I was so much looking forward to having this doorbell camera added to my system but now I have no doorbell and have to spend more money to replace the doorbell and the rug that he ruined.
If I was not under contract I would rip all of your equipment out of my home and get something else because Vivint has the worst service technician staff I have ever seen. All Vivint is concentrated on is selling you the package and getting you under contract and after that, they are pretty much through with you.
I will be getting rid of this equipment as soon as my contract is up. Plus I will do my best to tell everyone I know how sorry this company is and how much they do not care about you after they sell you a package.
My rating for Vivint is 0!!!!
I really like my system. It has saved my life more than I can count. The people are very polite and have alot of patient. They stay on the system until my help arrive. Not only that I at peace with staying in my home with security system. I never lived by myself until my daughter passed last year.
I have a doorbell camera, two outdoor cameras and an indoor camera as well as all the basic security features. My wife and I love it, we ve never been broken into but the indoor cam has been great for checkling on our kids and the system had provided my wife a ton of comfort when I ve been gone on business trips.
I've had my Vivint system for several months now and absolutely love it. I love that I can control it from my phone. I am able to change temperatures, lock doors and view activity in my home whenever and from where ever I am; even in a different city. The camera's are so clear.
Vivint has given me a peace of mind that I hadn't been able to get with any other security service. Thank you Vivint!!
Have always had exceptional customer service from Vivint any time I've had contact with a customer service representative. Always polite, courteous and helpful. A full 5 stars.
We've had VIVINT for the past several years in our Arkansas property and liked it so well we had it installed in our Florida property this past November. There is one new feature on the new installation I DO NOT like at all. When the system is armed from the inside panel the security code has to be entered. This is aggravating and absolutely unnecessary. All technicians we have come into contact with have all been professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The same holds true for all contact we've made by phone.
I have no complaints and defiantly no worries with my service's from my Vivint. The responses have been quick and swift.
I was an ADT customer for a long time.
Vivint checks on my system and even calls me from time to time. I am very pleased with it all. When I speak to a representative they are very helpful and courteous. At one time they even sent me new stickers and ground sign. Thank You.
We have had our Vivint for several years. It is a very reliable system and we feel very secure while we are in or out of our home.
Deceptive marketing and sales tactics. The contract was not as agreed. We agreed to try 30 days free but it's really 3 days. The company is hard to reach and plays games when trying to cancel. Salesman was going door to door saying we would be an advertised house and installation would be free. He told us to sign disclosures of what we talked about and pulled credit. After a partial installation they sent the contract and we never got to review before signing. He lied saying the signatures were for screening not for signing the contract.
They have been great with service and responding to any problems we have had. Their monthly fees are to high or I would have given them a fifth star.
Cameras are frequently off line so not of much use. We got the service because we are snowbirds and like being able to reset from our phones and check from our phones.
One star is way beyond what this company is deserving of but I had to make a selection in order to write a review. We have had an inoperable doorbell camera shortly after signing up and have exhausted many attempts to identify and fix the issues with our doorbell cam going off line. Many of these attempts have been us spending 1-2 hours on the phone with technical support and troubleshooting the equipment ourselves. We have also had a technician sent out, which we were told we need to pay for to fix their equipment. Even after all of the attempts to troubleshoot the doorbell camera we are still not receiving this service. Speaking with customer service they tell us that our options are the following:
1). Continue to pay for our service until the contract expires (what we've been doing)
2). Find someone to take over our contract (find a friend or neighbor who wants a home automation/security system that doesn't completely work)
3). Or buy out our contract (pay them the balance of the contract value that they have not earned after never fully providing the services we have been paying for and had signed up for).
There needs to be security company that can protect you from security companies that proclaim they can help but are only good at wasting your time while you are paying them.
The most disappointing experience I have ever had. Installers at my house until 1.30am, left home unsecured. Cancelled within the grace period, given a constant run around. A complete and utter waste of time. Be prepared to be on hold for up to two hours, this place is a disgrace to customer care. Slick sales, slick installers.......when things don't go their way its disgusting the way in which you are treated. ....4 days later and still no alarm, my current system disabled, 2 small kids and wife at home.........
We have been with Vivint for 9 years, back when they were Apex Alarm. My husband had just retired from the Navy after 20 years of service and had moved myself and our twin girls to a new home in a new state and he had to go back to finish out his tour. A representative from Apex came to our home about 2 months later and within an hour we were set up with a home alarm system that has been fabulous. Last year a representative came to our home again to let us know about upgrades that would cost us $0 as well as grandfathering our monthly payment. Vivint has been fantastic about their service when we have needed them and even when we've had a few accidents with the system. Unless they go out of business, we won't be changing service!
Frustrating work environment that could be so much better!!
Vivint a few years ago was a great company but has unfortunately grown and become very corporate. I was out of my contract and moved service with an option to move services for $199 and remain out of contract. When the installer arrive, he told me that the panel I had was no longer offered and that he could give me the new panel for free, no contract. The installer forgot to add the smoke detectors, didn't set the codes for the deadbolt digital keypads, and a slew of other issues. Vivint experienced an unexpectedly high volume of doorbell pushes on their video doorbells they offer on halloween which caused their system to freak out. I was one of many customers whose system went off and resulted in my garage door that's controlled by the panel going up and down all night until the motor died. Vivint will not return my calls for repairs and I recently found out the installer forged my signature on a 36 month contract. Avoid this company. They're frauds and their new panel SkyControl, which they bought the rights from 2gig, is full of flaws and doesn't offer the same options as the GoControl panel. So... now I'm working with an attorney and the FTC on this. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!
Not very pleased. They are very hard to work with. Just had the system installed a week ago and already have alarms tripping off the charts. You call to ask for assistance and they keep you on hold FOREVER while they bounce you to different representatives. Then you have to explain SEVERAL times why you are calling. They are unclear on what they mean vs what they say. Unless you are extremely tech savvy, then you wont understand a damn thing in their speedy spill they give you. What their customer service says about their capabilities contradicts what their techs say they are capable of. We had to have two separate systems installed, due to the number of cameras we wanted. We called to ask when it was going to be finished. And when we weren't happy with the rep, we said it was probably best to just bag the whole thing. They said the three day thing doesn't start until install is complete and it had not yet been completed. Once we called back with several more issues they informed us we couldn't cancel because one system was already installed, making so that we were locked in the contract. Even though the original person stated they weren't? Either they don't notate communications well or....who knows? Their tech that came out just looked pissed to be here. That is always a good feeling, feeling like you are putting out the tech for doing their job... a paid service at that. Moral of the story.... This has been the biggest joke. Biggest mistake... Out of the handful of people we could have called we chose Vivint. And what they are proving to us is that they do NOT care about their customers. They aren't willing to make things work, let alone even attempt to bend over backwards for people. Ya know, something that most companies would do. We aren't asking for an unreasonable request. We are asking for what they advertise. As far as this message getting though to Vivint and them actually doing anything about it.... Well, I won't hold my breath. We are now just considered a monthly paycheck. Not a customer. Customers shouldn't be treated or put on the back burner as much as we have. EXTREMELY disappointing. I feel like we have been had!
Vivint has been very helpful. I only wish I could add 2 phone numbers in case of emergency. I always have it on and can do so from any place I get the Internet.
Was very happy the first years we had Vivint, but recent problems with equipment and then being locked into a four year contract to save $5 per month has me very frustrated. Then the doorbell visual add on would cost me another $1200 plus $10 per month has caused me to reconsider their company reputation.
Feel safe when home and know I will receive a call when away if there is a problem.
Terrible product. Also, they had re-brand themselves. There's no accountability for dishonest salesmen. Customers who believed lies would get cheated our of their money. Shame on Vivint.
I have been impressed with my Vivint home security system since it was installed. It is state of the art and provides increased security features that provide me additional comfort that my home is secure. The ability to be notified through your smartphone when someone rings your doorbell, no matter where you are at, is a big plus as i am often not home. The added ability to see and speak to that person catches many people off guard amd is a solid deterrent. I would recommend this system to anyone.
Easy install, excellent pricing, service works great, support always available. Couldn't be more pleased with my Vivint investment.
Please please please do not go with this company! The solar panel system they setup is a scam. They put my system up and right away the inverter broke. I could not get ahold of anyone to come out and look at it. Their "tech support" kept saying everything was working fine. All they saw was the connection to the wifi. After a month of no production I recieved an outlandish "estimate" bill. When I called they stated it showed zero production and that couldn't be right so they billed me what it should have made. This went on for months. Finally after threating to tear it down a tech came out. He found the bad inverter. He said he would be back the next day to fix it. One month and another estimated bill later he came back. Now that this has all been repaired the price per Kwh has gone up. I wanted this to save money and do my part for the environment. Now its costing me more money and the headaches of dealing with this company has probably shortened my life.
RUN AWAY!
I have been with Vivint for over 6 years and really never had any big problems. I called Vivint the other day after getting an email about new equipment. I looked at this email and could not believe the equipment I saw. I asked for an outside camera the last time I had a rep trying to fix my door lock, which was 5 times. I was told that Vivint does not put camera's on metal buildings. My metal building does have some wood so that was just another way to tell me "that I don' want to install the camera". I was also told that in October I could get an upgrade since my panel box was out dated. Maybe it is time think weather I want an upgrade or maybe its time to go shopping.
I work for the company and I can honestly say that Vivint is a great company! The people who work here care about customers a great deal, esp in the monitoring department. There's not a day that goes by that our upper management doesn't tell us that our customers safety is our number one priority.
Very pushy sales people. Guy keeps coming to my door after telling him we are not interested. Uses fear to sell their security, unprofessional and desperate.
I have been with Vivint for nearly four years and couldn't be happier. They promptly answer my questions, the techs have all been friendly and helpful, and I can go to bed at night, or leave my home knowing all is safe and secure. I recently added the garage door opener, which I am delighted with.
Google might implement a zero star rating just for this company. You should never have to threaten a sales person with calling the police in order to get them to leave your porch after refusing to purchase their product 10 times
I've had a few other alarm companies over the years before going with Vivint. The others were just OK to good but Vivint is the best I've had. A few times I have accidentally set off the alarm and the response from Vivint was always within thirty seconds, not so with the others I've had. I recommend Vivint very highly.
have had good luck with Vivint. It warned me of a tornado that was close one time. I have had a police man sent when I didn't remember my password. Such is the work of a truly working alarm system.
Very happy with the system and service. The system is easy to use and convenient. I can check the house at any time and see what is going on.
We have been customers at least 5 years and our overall experience has been very positive. We feel very secure, home and away. Whenever there is an issue, the panel and or phone customer service has been quick and professional. When it was necessary to have a Technician come out, they have solved the problem. We feel even more secure with the 'window-break' system.
I really do like the system but it does keep getting offline stopping system stopped recording it stops growing I don't understand why it's doing that then I get a little like a ceiling effect that's very annoying when they sending me messages that I could send on my cell phone or on my house phone otherwise I really like it
I like Vivint. I would recommend them to friends. I did notice that on your write a review request page that you had sent me. Kimme, from British Columbia is mis-spelled. While this is probably a honest mistake, someone needs to proof read/spell check before posting things. Vivint is a business, this does not shine a positive light on your business.
Vivint is a good system it is easy to understand and if you have questions that need answering just call them and a very polite and professional representative will do everything possible to make you feel even more safe and secure. I have been a Vivint customer since 2012 the equipment was installed free we have the home security system & monitoring which includes 24 X 7 X 365 monitoring, 1 touch panel, 3 window/door sensors, an indoor camera, 1 smoke detector, 1 motion sensor, 1 Vivint yard sign. This system gives us a sense of being safe and secure.
I only have one complaint I understand from a representative that came to my home yesterday 4/21/16 asking me how I liked the system I said we love it he then asked me if Vivint has given me the upgraded touch panel I said no I have talked to a Vivint representative by phone about 3 times in the past couple of months and they did not mention this to me he told me since I have been a Vivint customer since 2012 they should have mentioned this and upgraded my system at no charge, so now I have to call Vivint and ask why they have not done this.
It's a decent system. They have come a long way since they started. Contracts aren't too much of a problem so far. I have had to replace a couple components, but not too bad.
Just had a salesperson make a cold call at my doorstep. I was in the middle of something. He was rude and pushy. It was a product/service I had considered in the past. I'll be passing.
I have had Vivint for my home since 2014. I am very satisfied with it. Fortunately I have not had to put it to the test, but all indications are that it would act as advertised. Installation was fast and efficient. The only time I contacted the home office was when a battery failed and needed boosting from the company end. I chose Vivint when I learned that my previous security system could be disabled by merely cutting the phone line to the house. This happened in San Francisco. The hidden antenna in my home cannot be tampered with, as far as I know. I also like that the sign in the front garden glows in the dark!
We've had Vivint for years and love everything about them. We've never had problems with any of our equipment. Everything works great. We have the thermostat, the fire alarms , the key pad for front door and camera. They all work great! Thanks Vivint for making us feel safe everyday with no problems.
They focus on sales and will promise services and features to get you to sign up. Once the sale is complete and you begin using and learning the equipment and realize you cannot do certain things that you specifically asked for prior to signing a contract then you quickly realize customer service is non existent. I have called and emailed customer service numerous times over a 6 week period with no response (when you call all they do is submit a ticket once they try to trouble shoot over the phone). After several tickets and many emails to the rep I was dealing with (I tried to work with one person to avoid repeating myself 10times) - Vivint ignored my emails and ignored my messages to have management call me back.
I have never been treated this poorly from any company and I completely regret leaving guardian after 11 years. Vivint made promises to earn my business but they have not held true to their promises and will not respond to emails or calls.
Be careful if you decide to do business with them, they will make things sound great but not be there if you need help.
Terribly unethical company. Not at all worth the money. I am a terrible father for trusting my family's safety with these crooks. Don't fall into their trap!
If I could give Vivint more than 5 stars, I would. My experience with them, their equipment, their installation, and support has been nothing but perfect.
I started my search for a home security system about 6 months ago, and went with the Frontpoint security system. Luckily they had a 30-day money back return policy. I had troubles from day one with my overhead garage door sensor, where the panel would say the door was closed (which it was) but the phone app would say it was open. This would only happen occasionally and would be super frustrating, as I would have to return home and check the door. After hours upon hours on the phone with tech support, new sensors, multiple new panels, extending my 30-day return policy to 90-days in order to get more time to fix the problem, I finally gave up. The only good thing about Frontpoint I can say is that they honored the return policy in full, and their support staff is friendly. Their equipment, panel, and app was very problematic, and the panel was very outdated, looking like it came out of the 80s.
On the hunt for a new security system, it came down to ADT and Vivint. Filled out the forms on both websites to contact me for a quote. ADT said they would contact me within 24-48 hours, and THEY NEVER EVEN DID THAT. I couldn't imagine how they treat customers locked into a contract considering that they treat potential customers that poorly. Filled out the form on Vivint, had a phone call within a minute.
I told them about the problems I had with the overhead garage door sensor with Frontpoint and was worried about the 3-day return policy with Vivint, as sometimes it takes more time for those little gremlins to show up. No problem they said, we will give you a 30-day cancellation period.
I was lucky in calling Vivint at a good time, they were running a promotion that included PROFESSIONAL installation and activation for $99. The installation service tech showed up on a Friday and couldn't be friendlier or more professional. He REALLY had to work to get the panel mounted where I wanted it. It was in a tough location with the way the studs were located between the wall, and I'm thinking most techs would have gave up after 30 minutes or never even would have tried to give the effort and told me to pick somewhere else. After an hour of fighting, he finally got it. I was super impressed. After a few hours the system was all installed, ready to go. He trained me on the equipment and panel and I was in business.
I have had ZERO issues with any of the equipment or the phone app. My garage door sensor has not given me an incorrect indication once. It's so easy to bypass sensors and set the system exactly how you want it. For example, I like to leave my patio door open when I leave for work to let some air in. Hit the arm button, it tells me the patio door is open and asks if i would like to bypass that sensor, I hit the bypass button and the system arms with everything active, except the patio door. So now I am protected by the motion sensor in that area if someone were to come in through the screen door, but can leave the patio door open for the air. It's beyond awesome.
App has full history too so I can go back and look what time I left the house on a certain day or what time I got up to get a drink of water the night before.
And the system does work when you trip an alarm, TRUST ME on that. Opened a door one morning before I disarmed the system, and the buzzers and the 2-way communication were going off before I could reach the panel to turn it off.
Again, this system works amazing and I couldn't ask for it to be any better. Just FYI I do not have any of the surveillance or door unlocking equipment. Only window and door sensors, motion sensors, glass break sensors, fire/smoke sensors, and overhead garage door sensor.
I am very pleased with my alarm system. I'm glad I choose Vivint Alarm. You have made me feel more comfortable and safe.
I like the service & how quick they are to respond to us accidentally setting off the alarm. Makes me feel good that they take it seriously. However, I do feel the monthly fee is a high. Would like it to be more affordable.
My wife and I purchased a system for a Lake Property last August .
We liked the system so much we had you install a system last Fall in our principal residence.
The system makes us both feel very secure and when we have needed assistance ( one occasion ) someone was on the speaker to us in seconds . Great product and your installers are A-ONE !!!
I wish I could leave ZERO STARS. Signed up for vivint, worst customer service ever, no calls back no nothing. When I say worst customer service, let me give it proper context, we're talking like Comcast level bad here!5 days in and I'm still getting the run around. I'm done. I'm cancelling and getting a refund
Feel so secure with Vivint (have had only 3 months) that I have
recommended it to several friends and neighbors, and actually 2 have
already had Vivint installed for their homes.
Really appreciate the call when, by accident, have set off the alarm.
Thank you, Vivint.
When I signed up they were so fast to get into my house and began to install before I had time to read contract clearly. I signed a 5 yr alarm contract. That is a crazy length of time. I only wanted a system while my husband was deployed because my anxiety was so high with him gone and I was overwhelmed. They have never been understanding of this even though we put up with a system we no longer use for three years. We had them lower our cost but the expense is no longer in our budget. They don't care.
Horrible employees walking to the door are lying just to get you in to sing up and get you in a contract with lies just for them to get the commission
They told me i could cancel in a year with no penalties and it ended been a 3 year contract. After that my sister tried to take over the contract and the employees told her she was able to take it over but instead she was sign in to a new one.. worst company ever
Every time I have a false alarm, your representatives are courteous and polite. In this day and age it is refreshing.
We have been very satisfied with the prompt response to our questions. Equipment works as advertised.
Fantastic system, easily outdoes every other system I've seen. Given that it drops average response time from 15 minutes (ADT, Protection1, etc...) to 2 minutes (Vivint), and with all of the smart home tech, it is by far the leader of its field.
I did want to add that I left this same review on their FB page 3 times and each time they deleted if it. They also blocked me from leaving it again. Can't take the heat get out the kitchen.
I have figured out why you only get 3 days to cancel. The customer service is horrible and service doesn't work half the time. I have tried for several days to get my cancellation time extended to 30 days and never hear back after being told I would on several occasions. You don't want me to have 30 days because you know your system won't perform and I'll cancel anyways. Techs will be here to get the equipment today and my cancellation was sent on Sunday. Now to tell EVERYONE about your company.
So I did want to share my experience with Vivint. On Thursday they came to install my system. That day I realized they forgot a window sensor. Same day my alarm went offline waited on hold for 13 mins until I resolved the issue myself. Next day Friday system went offline again. App was working intermittently. Called and waited on hold for 7 mins to have her tell me she would send someone out on Tuesday. (My last day to cancel) advised supervisor would call me within 24 hours. Now Saturday system goes offline and I am not home nor do I have time to sit on hold..so system down for hours while I am out and about. Finally I call to cancel because I only have 3 days to trial the system. Wait for 18 mins and finally speak to someone who advised they could start my cancellation time frame in Tuesday after a tech comes. I requested 3o days to trial since I've had so many issue. Can't do so I ask to cancel. Advised after that 35 min call I have to email the team to cancel. Sunday system seemed to work fine. Monday need to get my email address associated with the account and I can't get into two website. Tried two browsers and asked my husband to try and he is at work and nope website not working. Cancellation sent from Email address after finally getting someone on chat. I must say I'm disappointed. I really like the door bell camera and the outside camera and the touch pad. It's all wonderful equipment but it's no good if the system and customer service are bad. We would have had a 4 year contract at $70/month and who knows if it would have worked.
I have been a customer over 4 years and am very satisfied. The system does everything I want (except I haven't added the "doorbell video" yet). The monitoring staff are very knowledgeable, helpful ( I prefer talking through the panel) and easy to work with.
I especially love the remote functions on my phone when I am out of town. Not only the alarm status but video and the thermostat (I can check if the furnace is running properly in the winter). And if there is a problem, I can let my neighbor or repairman in.
After a bad start with the salesman lying. We like the system and after the recent rate adjustment, it is great.
Larry Cox
Worst company ever. Scam artist. Tell you that you have 30 days to decide weather you like the system and then at 20 days it would not record correctly. They tell you there is an extra charge for rewinding wanting to be able to rewind video. Took tech 9 hours on a simple install. When we cancelled system, they kept wanting to reschedule appointment to pick up equipment. NIGHTMARE--Customer representative Joseph was a joke and not helpful at all. They try and talk over you to get you to keep the system.
A very aggressive salesman showed up at my door one evening during dinner. After we explained that we would think about it, he proceeded to show us the benefits of getting the alarm system. He took us online and showed us the many many coupons for places int eh local area that was right on Vivint's website that we could take advantage of and the system would literally pay for itself. I had to agree, the coupons were for many local places I go every week, fast food, pizza, rental cars, hotels, hair salons. So we signed up thinking that the savings we would get through the online savers guide would pay for the system. We did balk over the 5 year contract! that seemed like a long time to be stuck if you were not happy. And I AM NOT HAPPY. A week or two after signing up, of course after the cut off for changing your mind-they up and remove the savers guide from their website, saying they have discontinued using the savers guide - SORRY!!! I called immediately to try and cancel my contract because it is high priced for a security system that is not being discounted with the coupons. I was told that under no circumstances would they let me out of my contract and oh well they are sorry about no longer having the savers guide! What a CROCK! That was the entire selling point used to get us to get the system! Unfair business practice. What they told me and sold me is no longer available and I am stuck in this crappy contract with this crappy company! They offered me a $200 gift card to try and appease me. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt and agreed to it. 6 weeks later and 4 phone calls - no one knew anything about the gift card and I had not received it but they assured me it was on its way! I filed a complaint with BBB and they still will not end my contract without my paying the contract in full. They lied about what they would offer me and the savings I could get. They lied about the gift card! They are just liars all around. Very BAD COMPANY. I just hate that I am stuck with them and cannot go to another company now for 5 years!!! Please investigate fully as one class action lawsuit was already placed on this company operating as another name in CA for unfair business practices! Wish I would have known!
I love Vivint! They have excellent customer service and products. I love the security I have with them as my provider! Thank you Vivint! :)
I am happy with the service Vivint provides but I wish they had a fire alarm along with the security alarm. That's the only way I can get a discount on my insurance premiums.
Vivint was very good when I needed help. They sent a tech out after I was unable to install a device. He stayed long enough to fix all the things I needed fixing on the system and answered all the questions I had.
After a system update failure, my system began beeping every 15 minutes starting at 1am. After waiting for technical support for 30 minutes and 30 minutes of trouble shooting, he deemed the problem fixed for the time being only for the beeping to start again 15 minutes later. When I called customer service and received the stereotypical run around, their solution to this issue was to offer a meager compensation. I wish I had never signed on with this company.
The system works great. However, we have had issues with the sensors in the doors falling out of the frame. No way to fix since the hole was drilled "too large" for the sensor. Accidently activating an alarm is always met with a call within 3 minutes from the monitoring people checking to see if everything is OK. Cost per month is TOO EXPENSIVE. Great service and response.
The tech was super friendly and knowledgeable. He came in a timely manner and worked quickly. We ve been happy with our system in our home! Just in time for a house a couple streets away to get robbed.
We were transferred to a different city & had to wait 6 months to move into our new location. They worked with us that whole time to transfer our account so we wouldn't have to start out new again. Everyone I worked with from customer service & scheduling to the onsite tech were professional, friendly & knowledgeable. The tech was careful & didn't mark up my walls. The actual service experience we've had (at old location) was great - performed as promised. If you need a security company, Vivint is the way to go.
We feel very secure with Vivint. When we make a mistake, we appreciate the time allowed to correct it before sending someone out.
My Vivint smart home system is amazing! The app works seamlessly and everything has been very dependable.
I wouldn't wish this company on my worse enemy. Salesmen are pushy, shady, scumbags that lie to customers. The company seems to support this behavior. The level of nasty attitude that the customer service members put out is ridiculous. 0/5 stars.
We have utilized Vivint for many years and have received complete satisfaction.
I, not only have my main home secured by Vivint, but, also my vacation property. I recommend Vivint without reservation !!
Quick response; very professional person who installed the equipment and told me how it works.
I have had Vivint for 3 yrs now and have had no issues at all. I also got Life Lock with Vivint at a discounted monthly payment rolled up in one. I have read many of the reviews positive and negative. I have to say I have had none of the issues expressed either with my equipment or customer service, although I have not had to call for issues but to find out the cost of new style cameras.I have to highly recommend both services to everyone including family. I am a widower and the level security gives me piece of mind.
Vivint has been there with any question I have had. They are friendly to speak with and alert me promptly if there is a disturbance at my home. A peace of mind when I leave home and turn on my alarm.
Signed up in 2011 or 2012. Once my contract was up i ran..... Very bad customer service. The people are great but they're limited in what they can do for the customer. Almost every call had to be escalated to floor sups who refuse to escalate to a manager. One of my calls went like this. "Oh your sensor maybe bad its covered under warranty but it will be $55 for the tech to come out". I have plenty of other bad experiences with Vivint. Trust me find another company. Please hear my words!
Lots of smart people working to innovate on the smart home. Their smart home is a complete package solution with lots of cool technologies in the works.
If I could give zero stars I would.. worst customer service by any company I have ever delt with. I moved and they told me everything would transfer however they still could not get my address right after 3 years. I was stuck paying on a system from my old house for 3 years and no protection at my new house..
I don't understand why when i bought PTZ cameras from Vivint, Vivint decided to discontinue them and want to down grade me to still cameras after saying mine were warranty them as long as I have service.
Very professional. We were 10 hours from home and they handled it for us.
I have had problems with the sensors on my shop since day one. After a few attempts to correct it is gave up
I can't give Vivint anything but five stars, unless there is a higher rating. They have been the most helpful and understanding people if have encountered. Anytime I have called them, which hasn't been very often, they have been able to help and solve my situation. I wouldn't even consider another security service now.
I really like VIVINT. Excellent!!!!! only suggestion I have is needed fast respond from dispatchers.
