Thermostat wouldn't work with new furnace and ac. Techs have been real nice. 4 year contract is to long. There's other alarm companies that charge alot less. Waiting for contract to run out. The reason I got system was so you could control temperature in the house and lock doors. It should be less since i can't use the thermostat . Customer service pretty good.

I have had my alarm go off a several times and they call, text and call on the system within 45 seconds at least! They are on the ball, helpful, curtious and friendly. My husband and I have set it off 2 - 3 times.

The system is so easy to use ANYWHERE! Nine times out of ten I pull away from he house and forget to set the alarm. But two houses down I can set it. I can check on my dog during storms. I can do the thermostats without having to go up or downstairs. I can also reset the alarm after my husband goes to work from the comfort of my bed!!

There is a reason why Vivint is rated B- by the Better Business Bureau, and Adt is rated A+. Beware. I have been a Vivint customer for over 5 years, and am very disappointed at their customer service and treatment of their customers after their product failed and did not function properly. They could not explain why it failed after repeated inquiries with several supervisors, the only thing I hear is "you cant leave without paying a $1,400 penalty." Now, they covered all their costs for equipment in the first 3 years, and it seems somehow they extended that contract verbally for another 4 years. They have yet to produce evidence of this extension, and of any additional product or service they provided to justify this contract extension. Very frustrating. In short, beware!! Wish I had chosen another provider whose system works reliably, that truly appreciates their good customers, that can admit when they are wrong, and does not extend you into an abusive contract even when their product does not deliver. Stay away.

I have been a customer for just over 2 years and I like the system but have had some problems with the wall mounted main console. Occasionally it goes into an alarm mode, which startles me, and then a message appears that states it has lost the cell phone signal. Another issue I have is the speaker on the main console, I no longer have the voice telling me the alarm is set, it is muffled and inaudible. I called the main office and was told how to reset the cell phone signal issue but they offered NO help in providing a repair / replacement of the faulty main console. Looking at other alarm services being offered in my area that offer better support after the initial contract has expired.

THEY HAVE CONTINUE TO SAY THAT I WAS ON THE TOP OF THE LIST FOR FIXING A 3 YEAR MISTAKE (THEY OFFER ME A $5 CREDIT FOR 5 MONTHS) THEN THEY SAID IF YOU SIGN UP FOR 24-48 MONTHS WE CAN LOWER YOUR BILL BY $10-$12 I DON'T GIVE BAD REVIEWS BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUSNESS I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH THEM FOR 1 HOUR AND 40 MINUTES THEN HAVE CONTACTED THEM 3-4 TIMES SINCE EACH TIME THEY SAY THE SAME THING WE WILL BE OUT TO FIX THE ISSUE NO RESOLVE AS OF YET THEY DID SEND AN EMAIL AND SAY WE HAVE SCHEDULE AND APPT. FOR JULY 11TH I HAVE BEEN WAITING SINCE MAY 29TH WHAT A JOKE. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING INSTALLED BEFORE THEY LEAVE NO SENSOR WAS EVER INSTALLED THAT I HAVE BEEN PAYING FOR FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS. THEY EVEN DID A LIVE VIDEO TO MAKE SURE I WAS TELLING THE TRUTH THE GUY ON THE PHONE COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT IT WAS LEFT OUT. NOW AS FOR THE EQUIPMENT I LOVE THE PANEL AND THE THERMOSTAT AND THE APP THAT CONTROLS IT BY YOUR CELL PHONE. I LOVE ALL THE FEATURES. I AM SURE ITS A GREAT COMPANY THEY JUST NEED TO GIVE BETTER GUEST SERVICES WHEN IT COMES TO TAKING CARE OF THE GUEST.

I would record your calls with sales agents. They really will say whatever they need to make a sale. I have a doctoral degree- I am not stupid by any means-- how they do this is WRONG. They knowingly took advantage of me! I can't imagine someone who may have no chance at understanding.

Any company that makes sure you ARE ON THE hook and only gives you 3 days to cancel-- RUN FROM

BAD SALES Agents -- BAIT AND SWITCH--> Run

1) I asked that my brand new smart lock be integrated ( YES -- On the phone-- NOT POSSIBLE upon arrival)

2) I am an Airbnb host -- The agent touted about features that have been discontinued for AT LEAST a year. (It was a deciding factor in my purchase) I can understand a change that JUST happened, but this was just a flat out lie.

3) I specifically requested that I was able to monitor the opening and closing of windows without triggering alarms on the second and third floors--- BIG lie as well.

Basically, they are 100% doing NOTHING I needed them for-- I'll have to get another service for the things I need-- Which is a little insane considering I just spent 3k on equipment

Have been with Vivint for a year. They have answered alarm calls right away. Have had several technical problems occur which customer service talked me through to correct the problem. They are very knowledgeable and easy to work with. It's also nice to talk to someone who is not from out of the country.

I asked him if he saw the sign and he said yes. Any company that blatantly disregards the privacy of my home is not one I will plan to do business with-

One the best decision I every made was to switch from ADT to Vivint! This security system is awesome. The doorbell camera is one of a kind! I recommend this high tech system and quality service to all home owners and businesses!

Great system so far, a couple of issues with adding modules that would not work in my home. Sales group needs to do more questioning up front so they do not wate installers time. Installation group is excellent. The system offers almost all the features we wanted. For example the Garage Door Opener will not work with all systems on the market. Thernostat module will not work with all syetems on the market so before asking fro them make sure they will work with what you have.

This company is the worst! I was told a bunch of lies by the salesman, Matt, Luckily I had all the texts. The installation "Expert" as they called him, drilled a hole literally in the side of my home and ran a wire up it to the camera on the roof. They have told me multiple times they would send a contractor to do an estimate, never happened. Then they drag it out and after a year of them telling me they lost my documentation, which I resent multiple times they just close the case and won't cover the repairs. They say its because they could not reach the contractor? All I asked was for the damages from the install to be fixed and to replace the siding they ruined. Not customer advocates at all.

I have had there services for over 4yrs and I have had nothing but problems, everything from the thermostat not working to horrible customer service.. But what really got me was this past June my home was broken into and that's where everything went wrong!! I received the text messages and phone calls that my home alarm had gone off and the police were at my home. So Being away on a business across the country, I called in to find out what was going on and that's when the lady told me it was a false alarm and the police said it was secure. Now Fast forward 9hrs when my wife gets home and I get a phone from her stating the alarm is still going off and the back door of our house is wide open. Well at that point I called and they began to back track and so I asked for the phone call that I made that morning where the lady on the phone told me it was a false alarm, They still cant seem to find that call, yet all calls are recorded. Then Fast forward to today when a technician comes out finally to check the system and that's when we realize the sensors on the door are all set to delay which means when the burglars broke in they had time to take jewelry and numerous other items before the alarm actually went off. Come to find out the installer who installed my system never asked me if I wanted delay or instant. So the entire 4 yrs I have been paying you to protect my family my system was set up wrong!!! Nice work!

Good system generally with excellent security response when an alarm tripped.

Two negative issues.

1. The Door bell system is very sporadic in ringing on smart phone. usually doesn't ring or rings an hour or two later. That was on my Android phone. Doesn't ring at all on my Windows phone. Which brings me two point number 2.

2. I am disappointed there is still no "app" for the Windows phone. Yes I can "pin" the internet site to my home page but that doesn't allow the full set of capabilities. I.E. the door bell to ring or the doorbell camera view. Also the ability to read or change Furnace thermostat settings.

Please get a windows phone app up and running soon

My wife opened the back door before I turned off the remote. The alarm went off for about 2 sec. The police came about 30 minutes later to check. I then received a letter from the police dept. fining me $25.00. It turned out to be an expensive 2 sec.

Moved to new city but when we notified Vivint that we were moving, got no guidance on what we should do, never told us to remove the equipment, now they are wanting to charge us a fortune for new equipment. We are paying monthly for nothing. No service, just paying.

I got my Vivint home security system set up back in August and I absolutely love the Smart Panel, the cameras and the doorbell.

However, I have some concerns about the Vivint Smart Home app and the Card Guard. Since I installed the app on my Samsung S9 during the day that my home system was installed the app constantly crashes/stops (and yes, I've always had the most up-to-date version of the app). I do like how I can view my security cameras while I'm away from home and I do love that I can remotely arm/disarm the alarm system, but if Vivint could just do some tweaks to curb the instability of the app for Samsung S9 users, that would be great!

Furthermore, my main issue with my overall Vivint experience is the Card Guard. I have two vehicles and on the day that all of my Vivint devices were installed, the Car Guard was able to connect my first vehicle with the Vivint system. However, my second vehicle was never able to connect during the initial install by the Vivint technician. I'm able to see my first vehicle in the Car Guard portion of the Vivint app, but I always get a message that says

"Locating [Car]
[Car] is unavailble. Please check back in a few minutes."

Also, it's worth mentioning the after I touch the OK button on the error message shown above, the map shows Vivint's facility in Salt Lake City, Utah...which is nowhere near close to my home.

So I called the Vivint Customer Service Number on August 19th, 2019 and spoke to a technician. At the end of this 39-minute phone call, the technician wasnt able to resolve the issue over the phone. (And that's ok.) She did tell me that she was opening up a ticket with the Vivint Advanced Systems shop so they could work on it and I should hear back from Vivint in about a week. Well, fast forward to today, almost a month later, and i hadn't heard from Vivint, so i call the Customer Service Number again. The technician on the phone tries to troubleshoot but is unable to resolve the issue over the phone so she tells me that she was going to open up a ticket with the Vivint Advanced Systems shop and I should hear back from Vivint within 5 business days. I tell the technician that the last Vivint Customer Service Rep I spoke to said that she opened a ticket, so I questioned the need for an additional ticket opened for the same issue. She reviewed my Vivint account information and found that the Advanced Systems shop rejected the first customer service rep's ticket submission because it wasnt filled out correctly. Bummer! Luckily, because I've been paying for Car Guard for about a month and it hasn't worked the entire time I've had it, the technician I spoke to today did give me a $15 credit on my account.

Overall, I love the idea of everything that the Car Guard has to offer. Vivint offers a pretty sweet (and smart) comprehensive security system. But as a Vivint customer, I'd be remiss if I didnt admit that I'm not loving this system as much as I should because the app is unstable on my phone and the Car Guard system doesn't work.

So....Team Vivint, if you're out there in Facebook land reading this, please help! Thanks!!!
