If I could give zero stars I would. Sears has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. We bought a Kenmore Elite refrigerator 4 years ago. It stopped working in September. A technician came out to diagnose the problem. Three service calls in three months and I still don't have a working refrigerator. The tech was supposed to be here today between 8 and noon, he called and said he would not be able to make it until after 1pm. I have to work this afternoon and can't be here. Now they are saying that they can't come until January!! Four months without a refrigerator is not acceptable!! It should not take this long! Customer service is awful! They speak very broken English and are very hard to understand. I asked to be transferred to someone in the US they refused. I will never purchase anything from Sears again. NobwoNo wthey are going out of business.

I have a Sears Elite fridge that the compressor went out. It was repaired on 09/05/19 but I was double billed $258.48 for the repair. Have been trying to contact someone to get this straightened out but can't get anyone to help resolve the issue. I have been given so many different numbers to call and no one seems to be able to help. I was even given the IT Support number to call, what they could do is beyond my understanding of an IT Department! On top of that, the very next morning, today, it is leaking water and I have been told that I have to pay ANOTHER $89.00 to have that problem looked at! This is just UNBELIEVABLE. I will never have another Sears product! As far as I'm concerned 1 star is 1 too many.

ALERT Kmart.com and Sears.com customers: Over the past 6 months, the errors being made have become more frequent. more diverse and simply "crazier." I get tired over choosing to lose a few dollars or rewards points rather than calling their customer service (always low volume) or chat (I'm just a really slow typist). My comments here are for the .coms only; not the stores.

This last mistake could not be ignored. Often HOW a purchase or return is processed does not make us happy, but at least what show up on the online account matches what shows up on our credit card statement.

Not this time. The two were completely different, resulting in a $3.34 error on a return. As usual, I didn't care about the money. But this kind of mistake makes keeping track of your account impossible.

On a customer service chat, the rep could only see my online account. I understood that, but he would not accept that I had proof that was not the amount charged to my credit card. I was not given any way to provide it to him.

So I got angry. Said some nasty things. Gave him one star and described the chat as insane. I apologize.

Today I went to a Kmart store to find a referee who could both see my online account and my credit card statement and help me fix this with Kmart.com. The manager who helped me was patient and competent. The first thing we learned was that my name had been removed from my online account, making it unusable. Sabotage, plain and simple.

That got fixed. Then we were transferred to a different department where the call was never answered. I didn't want to tie up the kind manager all day, so I said let's hang up.

I rarely do reviews, but I'm glad I can when a situation warrants.

I believe this was a computer system error, but if they don't care, I'll just warn my fellow customers. YOU MUST CAREFULLY CHECK THAT YOU WERE CHARGED THE CORRECT AMOUNT.

HORRIBLE!!!! I bought a $2500 refrigerator last May 28, 2019. Not even 11 months later the freezer went. It took me 10 days to have someone come out to look at it. Today he came and tells me the compressor, evaporator & drier need to be replaced! I called Sears and told them I wanted a replacement refrigerator. An appliance not even a year old should NOT need 3 PARTS replaced. To add insult to injury, when I asked about filing for food replacement for the $300 worth of food I lost they told me that since the refrigerator was not a year old it was covered under the manufacturers warranty. The fact that a refrigerator is faulty after not even a year is even more of a reason food should be covered. I got someone on another number and they said the would put the claim in for me. But when they sent the email, I had to go online and submit it. Now it won't submit when I hit the button! SO AGGREVATING. I have literally been fighting with Sears since 9 AM today. It is now 11:21 and I am still on the phone with them. NEVER DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN. NO WONDER WHY THEY ARE CLOSING DOWN STORES LEFT AND RIGHT!!

I, like others, would have give Sears a 0 rating if they had a check mark for it. My Kenmore washer (six years old) started making a horrendous noise during the spin cycle. I called Sears appliance service/repair to have a tech come out and diagnose the problem this past Saturday (October 27, 2018. I was told that they (Sears) charges $99.00 for the tech to come out.

Okay, so the tech informed me that the basket had separated from the tub. The tub would need replacing and the ball bearings. The total plus labor would cost $848.30 and I would have to pre-pay $550.30. Don't know why I agreed and signed the receipt authorizing my VISA card to pay. After reality set in, I realized I could purchase a new washer. I immediately phone Sears home services and informed them that I wanted to cancel the parts and service. Was assured they would call the parts dept. dispatch. Made a second and was told exactly the same thing. Called early this morning and was told someone from parts should be contacting me today and keep my phone line open, which I did. No one called, so contacted Sears again. Tried to talk to the representative, who was obviously in another country, and ended up hanging up on her in frustration. Finally put in a call to my credit card company to file a dispute against their charge.

I have Kenmore grill that the burners are in need of replacement and are currently under warranty. However, the manufacturer (Kenmore) no longer makes the parts. I provided documentation to the Offline CS dept on April 28th and followed up 3 times each saying I'd receive a response in 24hrs. It is now May 19th and I have yet to receive a response. Furthermore, today your CS told me to accept that the case is closed and you will do nothing to honor your warranty on the parts. I advise anyone who reads this not to buy Kenmore products from Sears as they do not honor warranties.

Looks as if all the American stores are not performing as in days of future past. So sad. Thought Sears was always for the working family. Kenmore was the product that kept to its loyalty, as did Craftsman. Went to the optical department because of prior records, only to find they now have fallen to the top 10%, only take private insurance. No Affordable Care Act, no Medicaid, nothing from state. Have a child who is 18, but an orphan and in community college, so cannot be under Obama's great change in our healthcare system's law that he be covered under his parents until age 26. So, too bad if you suffer. Thanks Sears...wonder if Alvah Roebuck and Richard Sears would have things differently today. Sad that the working class of America means nothing any longer.

Very bad customer service. I have waited a MONTH for my washer parts to get shipped to me. Neither Sears, UPS, or the Sears Technician has called me to let me know what is going on. I have been given so many different numbers and no one seems to know what is going on. I also have a guarentee on the washer and I always have to pay when they send a technician. What's the point of the Guarentee if they always take the money out of my bank account.
As a customer, I will never buy anything from here again. I used to like shopping at Sears not only at there Home Deparment but also the clothes deparment. As of today I will never give money to this company again, also if I could give this zero stars I would. Because it is based on my customer service that I have been given.

Run from Sears!!! Technician broke my stove, all he was supposed to do was find out why the fan was whistling...this stove worked until he took it apart.. The other took apart my dishwasher and didn't put it back correctly so it didn't work when he left....called them and ask to send the technician back and the people in the Phillipines said they could not after 3 calls within a 2 hour period and being told the tech was in the area and he would call me back.....there corporate headquarters operator yelled at me about people wanting to go on vacation during 4th of July weekend on a Fri. In August , 2017, we purchased a new Sears INTIUITION ($289.00) vacuum cleaner from the Wolf Chase Mall store, Memphis, TN. We only have 2 rooms with carpet and no pets or children. The 4th time we tried to use the vacuum...the suction motor failed.....6 MONTHS AGO. We have spent 4 months trying to get the unit repaired or replaced by Sears. The Sears answer; YOU DID NOT PURCHASE THE WARRENTY SO SEARS HAS NO RESPONSIBILITY. We will never set foot in a Sears store again. My wife and I are having a horrible experience with Sears. Going through our home warranty, we were able to have a technician come by to fix our washing machine. He was great, but he had to order parts. Long story short, it's been six weeks, and we still haven't gotten the washer repaired since there is this mysterious third part that we are missing. Yet, Sears can't get it straight if we are waiting for a third part or not because a representative gives us conflicting information saying we do or do not have everything. It boils down to we need our washing machine repaired, and it has become a major inconvenience for these past several weeks.

I was trying to file a complaint because the Stockton auto center oil change I received messed up my car (they over filled it) and when I went back they then lied to me first saying it wasn t overly filled, then it changed to, we didnt, all the technician did was scan the bar code the computer must have , then they finished up with you have an oil leak and that s why we filled it with a bit more than normal. And had the audacity to tell me it was written on my paperwork, it wasn t and I don t have one . So I called the first corporate number I could find to try to get the correct number only to fall victim to their incompetence and nonexistent customer service skills. They literally kept transferring me until I was transferred to the auto center I was calling corporate to complain about. As a former sears employee, a faithful customer since childhood and a fan of sears products, it saddens me to admit that I ve lost all trust in the company. This isn t the first straw or the second or the twenty second but it is the last.

Six weeks without laundry (my washer I bought from Sears was SO expensive!), six visits to repair it, misdiagnosis, nearly $300 in parts and labor and I had to throw it out after hiring another company to tell me that Sears misdiagnosed. The washer was never going to be fixed. When I call, I get the run-around. Don't spend your money with Sears. Don't buy their appliances or any other products. They've lost the meaning of customer service along with their jobs.

My families refrigerator went up after only 3 years and I've been jumping through hoops to get it replaced. It's going on 2 months with NO REFRIGERATOR! I have 2 young children and 1 infant without a refrigerator! Constant lies about our check being sent so we can get a NEW REFRIGERATOR!

I've read a number of the reviews and now realize that I am not the only person completely disappointed with Sears. Your customer service is beyond poor.
I recently purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator from Sears. I was given a delivery date of March 19th, between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm. I took a vacation day to be home.
The fridge that was in my apartment was removed around 1:00 that day. I waited, and the call came about 4:30. The driver was lost. Unfortunately my address does not come up on some GPS units. He was not interested in directions and told me that he was running late and wouldn't be delivering to me that day. I would have to reschedule for the following week. I told him that was unacceptable. I was transferred to the Delivery Department. They ask me what I wanted them to do. I told them I wanted them to deliver my refrigerator! I was told that it was not possible. And was basically told that it wasn't the driver's fault if it didn't come up on his GPS and that they couldn't put it on a lift truck and deliver it; I would have to wait.
Really? As I recall, Sears delivered long, long before GPS was conceived. Even before the internet! OMG!!!! Imagine that!!!
From then on, the was a long series of online hats, emails, and phone calls....to no avail. In total I contacted at least 8 people.
One thing that became perfectly clear to me was that not once did I speak to someone in the U.S. Most people I talked to spoke fairly fluent English, but there is a problem with comprehension. I was offered a $40.00 discount on my fridge.
That doesn't even come close.
I lost all of the food from my freezer. I lost a vacation day (obviously there are much better things to do than wait for a delivery that never came. And then I had to take an unpaid day the following week to be home for the delivery, so I lost a day's pay.
Thankfully the guys who brought it on the 26th were smart enough to get here. Also, they were very nice. They apologized to me, even though they were a different delivery team.
Looking back, I should have canceled the order. Its sad that a company built on American values has fallen so far. I won't be buying from Sears anymore. Including K-mart (I like to shop online with them). Too bad for Sears. Because of your poor customer service, you've lost one more customer.

I spoke with five representatives who gave different information and a tracking # going somewhere in CA. I spoke to a manager who said she would call claims and find out what to do. She called back and left a message asking if I wanted "Shop Your Way or a Visa Card. I called and she began to say that she told me I could only receive payment this way! She did not, that is why she called back, we both yelled. I asked where this information is written, she said on the little book. The store only gave me a receipt, no other information. It is not my wish to ever shop at Kmart or Sears for jewelry. I want to be refunded the way that I made the purchase! This service is unacceptable. The manager's name was Lourdis in Hightpoint, NC worker # 15983. business deserves an F. She was rude and would not let me explain the details of my purchase. I was given an indirect/false # to call back. Poor Service and unapologetic!

nine years ago, we bought a craftman riding mower. for nine years we bought the service protection agreement and for 8 years got efficient,prompt service when requested. this year, new ignorant techs took service request call, put me thru 3rd degree to determine machine was actually broke, told me there would be a service charge on top of the $409.oo I pad for service protection contract if no problem was found. scheduled tech visit for almost amonth later "when tech was available" . had to make dzens of calls to cancel service protection agreement, cancel credrit card and get refund of payments made. as of today, 12/18/18, promises made by overseas phonecenter still not fulfilled. letters sent to every member of thesears board over two weeks ago not responded to. never again will I deal with sears or any company dealing with sears.

Absolutely terrible customer service with no sense of urgency! We had a Sears repairman come to our house to fix our oven. He told my wife they had to order a heating element and it should be at our house in "no more than" one week and he'd be there that day to fix it. Come to find out the part won't be here for another week! So my family has to go without an oven for two weeks?! This is unacceptable! And nobody is taking responsibility or initiative to make this situation any better.

2 techs came out not 1 diagnostic test done! Do not use them 1st guy came out after sitting around all day, listed to symptoms decided it was the coil without ever doing a test. Used the dryer the next day it's even more messed up than the fist tiem. The 2nd tech was supposed to come after 4:30 (cs assured me of this) he told me he doesn't work past 4pm even though wait window is 1-5!!!! Left work early to meet him here by 4 and He gave some BS about distance from the Dryer to the vent and dryer working too hard. Our house is average distance same air flow we have alway had, vent is clean and nothing coming out so there is no blockage. !Not one diagnostic test was done, he came up with some BS story and never pulled out a tool or opened up the dryer. Also would not listen to symptoms kept trying to say heat issues etc even though the dryer can't be too hot and turn off when it was even running for over an hour! What the hell does the start button randomly working have to do with heat either? Dryer not running on temp settings etc. When pressed about why not opening the dryer up, doing any tests, looking at the panel which is clearly having issues he said i'm not dealing with this and left. Now 6 phone calls later and still trying to fight with someone for a refund and getting the run around.

My Mother has purchased every appliance in her home from Sears. The Kenmore Elite refrigerator she purchased stopped working on December 23, 2017. Sears sent a representative from ABCO a company in West Palm Beach, Florida on December 28th. Sears and this company has given my 83 year old Mother the run around and as of February 16, 2018, the refrigerator hasn't been repaired and they are still claiming they are waiting for a part. I no longer wonder why it is going out of business. It should!!! I will never purchase anything from Sears and will encourage others to never purchase anything from SEARS!

Called Sears Repairs for a routine fridge service. The technician could not fix the problem i called for, and in addition broke a part that had nothing to do with my initial problem. Furthermore, when i inquired with the technician about next steps, he got defensive and argumentative. He then continued to argue and yell that the problem was my fault and left without fixing the original problem or the new one he created. I called the supervisor of Sears and they said they would send someone out who can fix both problems. The new technician arrived and had no idea of what was going on or how to fix either problems. I called in again to the supervisor multiple times and have not heard anything back. I am basically out 2 work days and have 2 problems with my fridge still (1 they created). Sears is a tough firm to deal with, ill take my business to more stable and reputable firms like Amazon.

So, I made an order over a month ago and they showed me the item was in stock and when it would be delivered. The date it was supposed to arrive, it did not. I contacted the company they were rude, said they were out of stock and that I would just have to wait or pick out something else. I told them I could not, the woman would not let me speak to a supervisor (after asking 3 times) and she then told me that someone from the warehouse would contact me, which they never did. I talked to them and they said they would give me a refund. Well it s been a month and they still have my $500 and they keep telling me, that someone s going to call me and that s all they tell me. They suck and they re going to make me be ugly!!!

I had to call over a few months. They said they didn t have that item. They wanted me to order something else. I told them, No, that they could either send me something that would be similar to the item or give me a refund. I have called them at least 10 times I have tweeted with them numerous times and I get a run around and I ve been told I will not get a refund and they keep saying someone will call me but I never get anything. I called corporate and the very rude guy laughed at me and said I will never ever speak to anybody in corporate I will only get overseas. And I can t half understand them and they don t do anything but give me the runaround and tell me to stay on hold. They have turned into a huge scam and I am angry!
Corporate office didn t care and they laughed at me on the phone. It s ridiculous they know what they re doing and they don t care.
They are not an American company anymore. They need to make that known!!!!

Well, it took around 3/4 months but I finally got my refund. They broke it up into two parts. Not sure why but at least I got my money.

We recently had our carpet cleaned and this was the worst experience I have had getting my carpet cleaned. First the company never showed up the day they were schedule to arrived, after we called to complain someone came out the next day but not in the allotted time and when we called to cancel the service we was told that the technician was close by and should arrive in 30 minutes but they arrived a hour and half after. Finally after having the carpet cleaned our carpet remained soaked for 4 days and now my home smells like mildew because the carpet was so full of sitting water and there is streaks in my carpet were the water has just been sitting. We called again and they decided to send out the same tech to redo our carpet and once again he calls to say he's running behind and won't be out until after 1:00 p.m, and he basically tried to tell us that it was our fault but he will be back to go over it again. First no consideration if we have to be at work or if we have other plans. I am so disappointed in this service and would probably have to replace my carpet due to the stains and possible mildew.

If I could give negative stars I would. A company who goal is to rip you out of your money. Make you call customers service twice and both time been told something different. This company is not reliable. They will charge you double for what they actually tell you. Don t trust them with your money.

We will never, EVER purchase a product from Sears again!!! It is sad to say because at one time Sears had quality products and Customer Service. We own several pieces of real estate and we will no loger use Sears for any of our needs. We called to have a tech come out and take measurements for a new water heater. He completely screwed up the measurements and order a water heater that was way to big for the space. I had to pay for it all including an extended warranty all up front. Sears outsources plumbers to install water heaters so a local plumber picked up the water heater from our local store and brought it to install. The water heater never even made it out of the box because when the plumber double checked the size of the space he realized it was too big. He had to return it to the store and cancel the order. Sears doea not carry the size we need to we put in for a refund.That was March 14th. It is now April 2nd and we have STILL NOT RECEIVED A REFUND!! We have been lied too repeatedly and given the run around by the so called customer service dept. Which is outsourced by the way and all of them barely speak English. We have wasted hours out of our days on the phone as well at the retail location and nobody..absolutely nobody will help us. We are basically out $1,100 of money that Sears stole from us and they very simply do not care. Shame on you Sears and shame on me for trusting a once reputable company.

We ordered patio furniture from the Rockaway NJ Store on August 31, 2017.
-The furniture was scheduled to be delivered on September 11, 2017 and we received a confirmation call on September 10 that the assembled furniture would be delivered between 11:45am and 1:45pm.
-We (of course) had paid for both delivery and assembly. Sears notably took the money from our account immediately.
-My spouse took a day off from work to accommodate the delivery.
- On September 11 she received a call that the delivery needed to be rescheduled because of a truck accident. It could not be rescheduled until September 30.
-Today - September 30 - we received a call from Sears Delivery at 6:30am, awakening us on a Saturday morning. The caller told us that he could not deliver our furniture today because only half of the order had been assembled. He told us we would receive a call to reschedule the delivery for Monday, October 2. This requires us to take another day off from work.

-We received a call at 8:40am today. The caller said that they were informed that WE asked for the reschedule because there was not enough room on the truck for our furniture. She told us that there was no availability for Monday. She scheduled us for Tuesday, October 3. We asked to speak to a manager. She said she was a manager and would not pass us on to any other person.
-Note - this is a service that we are paying for. Unacceptable.

Had a repairman at the house Friday says it will take 250.00 to fix the washer another repairman shows up to repair the washer on Tuesday and says it will be 550.00 now what is wrong with this picture. Offered me half price if I would sign up for their home appliance warranty 49.95 per month for one year. BAIT AND SWITCH Sounds like it to me. I will never buy another Kenmore product for as long as I live! Spoke with customer service they offered me a 20.00 gift card, what an insult! After several attempts I finally heard a very muffled voice and the man who I dealt with was very, extremely rude and short with me. I called on 2/14 around 12:00pm... Sears has definitely gone down hill!! :(

Don't buy from Sears, we bought a kenmore garbage disposal. Having our kitchen remodeled and could not install until 32 days after the purchase. When it was installed it was defective and leaked from within. Took back to store and they can not replace because it is past the 30 day return policy. Sears has the worst customer service of any business in America today. Is it any wonder the Sears chain is in such trouble financially?

I wish I would have read the reviews before I ended up in the nightmare. I would give no stars if possible. Like other reviews I was only doing a simple return, why, because I was sent a dud lawn mower, would not start as the motor was frozen. The person that did my return was great, did my return and my repurchase, this is where the nightmare began. He said he would refund me the difference in the price and a % for my trouble, well it has been weeks and no refund in sight, so I have been on the phone with the most unhelpful customer service ever. How can you send me an e-mail stating that a refund would be put on my card, when the amount on my card was significantly smaller. I'm going to make one last effort and call their corp office, because instead of sending my refund to my card they are putting it into the SYW points...what is that??? I'm getting angry just thinking about it. I have loved sears products and I do love the lawn mower (working) that I received, but I will not go back; ever!!!!

It is sad of Sears how they treat the customer. I am a second generation Craftsman family. After this experience I find myself questioning the brand loyalty.
I got a Craftsman Garage door opener because I always believed they mad a great product ( I was seriously wrong). I was encouraged by the salesman to get the extended warranty. Well one year later the door opener broke. I called for service and after the first 1 hour visit (which I had to wait all day for) was told "they had to order a part" (control board). I got the part one week later and low and behold it did not work. After 2 hours the tech said he had to order another part (motor and motor board). So two week later part shows and he puts it in. Still does not work. Tech says he has to order another control board, and he has to close the work ticket because it has taken over 30 days. I had to call and make another appointment and ensure they ordered the part. Two weeks later part shows tech comes puts part in and door opener still not working. So he informed me he will order another motor and motor board. Well I wait two weeks for my appointment and part not showed up. So called help desk and they canceled my appointment and told me I have to wait for part. Well After over a month still no part and no clue when it will show.
I been hung up on several times, been told it might take up to six months for part to show. Have spent countless hours on phone getting no help. My wife and myself have been told a supervisor will call us back, with no phone call ever made. The best part is when transferred to the department for garage door openers, it tells me to put my zip in and then says sorry we do not service the region (San Antonio, Texas) and hangs up.
This is just some of the stress I been going through with this.
The Sad part is (even though I can not afford it) I was telling my wife we need a door opener for second door and we should put it on our sears credit. Now as it looks I am going to have to buy a new one to replace the one Sears can not fix. I can not afford to drop a few hundred on a new one from another vendor and I do not want to deal with this any more.
Funny part is I paid $220 for door opener on sale. The amount of time and money they have spent on the door opener they could have replaced it and been done with it and possibly kept a loyal customer.

ON 05/27/2020 I received a call that my delivery is delayed. the rep i spoke with spoke limited english and couldn't tell me why it was being delayed. she hung up on me. I called back and a new rep told me it was delayed until 06/01/2020. i just checked status unavailable . i paid 69.00 for delivery not to mention they didn't hesitate to take my money. they've found no way to make this right by me and i'm furious

Sears Maintenance Agreements are not worth the paper they are printed on. Repair personnel are not experienced and have no idea how to repair anything. Stay away from Sears when it comes to purchasing appliances and instead go to a reputable store that honors their maintenance agreements with qualified/certified repair personnel. Run away from Sears, run fast and stay away!

My Kenmore refrigerator is less than 3 years old and stopped working in June 13, 2018. Had to wait a week for an appointment just to find out that a compressor needed to be ordered. Since then I ve bought a mini-fridge, ice machine, and lost everything in my fridge/freezer. Had an appointment scheduled for today to find out that the compressor is on back order until the July 6th, and then have to wait for another appointment. Call customer service and they had $160 in rewards to purchase a freezer and those still have to be ordered. This is unacceptable to make a family of 5 wait for refrigerator for over a month. Shame on you Sears!

If I were able to give negative stars, I would. I purchased an A/C unit March of last year. It was financed through a Sears Home Improvement card. The bill was paid in full days after installation. The card shows it paid. The bank shows it paid. The local repair branch shows it paid. Yet after multiple calls, certified letters etc these people at Sears Repair Services still claim to not show the bill paid. The utter incompetence of not being able to verify a purchase financed by another branch of your own company is past baffling & wholly unacceptable.

Most of the time you will be stuck on the phone for at least 2 hours. Once you make a payment online, then you are on the receiving end.. you will be lucky if you get your delivery on time.
Customer service is in China land or some other country. Customer reps have two standard sentence handy.."We are not in America", and "We are not allowed to talk about this".

For the garage door opener, the guy who came out was fabulous. No complaints. Even the in-store help went above and beyond to be helpful. I purchased a Kenmore Elite refrigerator from their Schaumburg, IL Woodfield Mall store in April of 2019 as well as a 3 year extended warranty package all totaling out to $3,142.28. 2 weeks ago, I awoke to the unit dripping water and all food in the freezer and refrigerator quickly defrosting. Upon contacting Sears and being cutoff multiple times after being placed on hold for very long periods of time, I was told that they would send out a 3rd party technician 4 days later to diagnose and correct the problem and that our warranty extended until 2022 so all parts and labor would be 100% covered. Upon arrival, the technician opened the refrigerator and without any testing immediately diagnosed a mother board and cooling fan to be the problem. As he was not a "Sears" technician, he would have to order the parts and would advise us when they arrived to come and install. 2 days after they were installed, we realized all the food in the freezer and refrigerator was once again completely thawing out. We thought perhaps a door was left open as the unit received brand new parts just days before and thought that the unit may be getting down to temperature. Upon waking up early the next day we confirmed that the whole unit indeed was not functioning at all and reached out to Sears once again to have someone out. We reached someone via the chat function on the Home Services website who was sympathetic to our problem and at our request of sending an actual "Sears" Technician out to diagnose an obviously more serious problem but he was unable to do so but could send out the same 3rd party technician that had been out previously to come out again to again take a look at the unit. My wife received a call from the 3rd party on the day he was supposed to come back who asked what problems we were experiencing and quickly mentioned that we needed a new mother board and cooling fan and that he was just going to order the parts right then and would not be coming to diagnose the problem in person and also added that he did not get paid for multiple visits from Sears. My wife begrudgingly agreed feeling she was left without a choice. We anticipated that the time for the parts to arrive would be similar to what it was the first instance and tried continually reaching out to the 3rd party technician after 2 days and were met with no responses to any messages or texts and ultimately when we called his voicemail box was full. Our patience finally ran out and we contacted Sears this morning, again through the website chat. I explained what had transpired and that I needed an actual Sears technician to come diagnose and remedy this problem ASAP as my wife is due to give birth in early August and we need a functioning refrigerator for not only normal food and drink but baby formula. Sears acknowledged the work order put in for the new parts but that it had been cancelled and could not give me an explanation as to why. I again said I wanted a "Sears" technician to come out and was continuously told they weren't available in "my area." I live in large suburb of Chicago mere miles from where the unit was purchased as well as Sears headquarters! Finding that hard to believe, I agreed to take any 3rd party that could come out I just requested it be a different company that had come out previously due to to them no showing and basically disappearing and not following through on the second repair. At this time I was told the earliest they could get someone out was over 3 weeks from today leaving me without a functioning fridge for almost 6 weeks! This was completely unacceptable to me and I demanded to be put through to a supervisor which after much back and forth, a supposed supervisor took over the conversation and went through everything again only to reiterate that the date stated was the first possible window they had available. I understand material defects happen and things break. This is exactly why I purchased the extended warranty for $399.99 but the customer service I've received has been the absolute worst I've ever encountered.

The item came broken and i returned it . Its been 2 months now and I haven t yet received a refund even though i returned the item. Instead they keep telling me about having to wait on their case management team every time i call them. Then the company sends me a replacement part for the item when they already recieved the merchandise i returned. If there was a way to post 0 stars I would because that is what my experience has been. A complete ZERO! After 5 weeks still no refund credited back to my checking account! Requested a refund of $575 for a range and after 15+ phone calls I am getting the run around from "oh we do not have a manager to speak with" to "rest assured we are taking care of things". Then after I asked to speak with a manager, or have the name of one the CSR stated, "oh we are not allowed to give out anyone's name. Again they "reassured me someone would call me this time since I was on hold again....for over 10 minutes. That was yesterday, no call back so I called again today. This time they stated "a manager will contact you within 24 hours". Again after so many calls, still no credit to my bank (which I had to visit my bank 2 times in person and check my account daily), and still NO CREDIT! In my book this is theft! I will NEVER deal with SEARS EVER again! I could never trust them after what they have promised and not delivered. This is like dealing with a total scam of a business transaction. I am going to News 12 on your side if this cannot be resolved by the end of this week. They also said there is no way to cut me a check. Really? So you are a business that can only issue a credit back to my account, but oh wait....you cannot seem to do that either so how else am I going to get my money back? My profession deals with customer service and experiences, and I have NEVER dealt with such a negative experience. This has been an awful situation. To me after 5 weeks of this, and still no resolution, Sears is telling me "we do not care about our customers"! No one could give me status updates. Finally bought a new vacuum (not from Sears). Receive an email the other day saying that Sears warranty is providing a voucher for a new vacuum and must be used within 90 days. run around for 4 months now. I pay thousands for all my appliances on the Master Protection Agreement. Purchased a new Kenmore Elite Washing Machine in Toms River, NJ. Was told the door is reversible and the saleman even put that in the computer on the order.... to reverse the door was put on the order. Washer was delivered and it turns out it is NOT reversible. Now I had to rearrange my entire laundry room which included moving cabinets, and purchasing new gas hose and dryer vent hose to accommodate. The dryer door needs to be reversed now. The store told me they set up for this to be done to make their wrong right. The person came to reverse the door and said they won't do it because the dryer is not the item I just purchased. I have made 10 phone calls already and visited Eric, the manager in Sears Toms River. Eric gave me another customer service number to call. I called and they said they cannot help me. I have to pay for someone to reverse the door. Mind you, my dryer is also on the master protection agreement that I pay for. The service at Sears whether in the store, online or with the repair department has terribly declined!!!

I talked to 2 representative who definitely did not know what they were doing. I purchased a stove and was told to by a special part in order to have it delivered and installed. The representative told me the item would be delivered on 12/23. I received an email to pick up the item at a store that is hours away. When I called the customer service the number I talk to Myra sales #: 443168 and clearly she didn't know how to do her job. She was explaining to me that the order could not be changed and I would have to cancel the order. Why must I have more money taking out of my bank account for a mistake that your representative made and broke all these promises. Absolutely the most deceiving, irresponsible, unhelpful, lying, non-communicating company we have ever purchased from. Whatever any of you out there do, DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT, purchase anything online from this company let alone try to return the item and get you money credited to you. We ordered a new trash compactor when our repairman came out to fix our old one because the repair was as much as our new item costed. He got on the phone with someone who obviously could not speak/understand English and ordered our same exact brand and gave us a price. We were told that our new on would arrive within a few days. I took that day off of work in order to be there for this item. No call no receipt for our order etc. So I called to get an update. The automated message said that my item was scheduled to come 2 weeks from then (no call or anything telling this change to us prior). So I spoke to someone who obviously could not speak English. She ended up raising her voice at me about this. I asked for her supervisor, again barely spoke English. She in turn said that she could not help me and hung up. I called back and got another rep on the phone and asked for a corp complaint/resolution center number. I called this number and the gentleman on the phone told me that this item would not come until a month from then. I then asked him to change the order to a different color of that model. He changed the order to that and told us that we would get a call with our delivery date. SO we got the delivery date set and within a few days received the item. One problem, we received a totally different brand than what we ordered. I called in again and the gentlemen said that no I was wrong and this is the brand that we ordered. Wrong answer. He said that the brand that we wanted was $2-$300 more. I said forget it and come get you r item, We will go somewhere else that can do this right. Our item was picked up in a few days and were told that our refund would be to us within 7-10 business days. Wrong again. Our item was picked up/returned to Sears 2 plus weeks ago and have yet to get our refund. So I spent another 3 hours calling numerous different departments on this again today. Number one, the delivery computer system does not communicate with the sales computer system. Number 2, the person that took our original order put in the wrong email address and the wrong phone number because she did not speak English. Number 3, after speaking with 5 different departments today, the opened a case (again) to find out why we haven't received our refund. Again no one spoke a lick of English. WE WILL NEVER STEP FOOT INTO OR ORDER ANYTHING FROM SEARS EVER AGAIN. They have the worst customer service and experience I have ever dealt with. A so call technician came to our home (did not have a card so no confirmation) and BROKE our dryer. He was suppose to find out why the door would not stay shut while drying clothes and look into the noise that was being made as well. After he realize he broke the thermostat he then became rude and proceed to argue with both me and my husband. I have filed an incident report (these folks are very professional) unlike the customer service folks that have transferred me so many times until they finally disconnected. Had I read the reviews and not relied on Sears being a reputable company (by name only) it would have saved us a lot of time. Unfortunately we are experiencing some of the same issues that many others have endured. I wish I could give them a -0. I will NEVER recommend anyone use them. My husband brought to my attention also that the receipt sent to us via email and I quote "Our dryer is not a Kenmore it is a Maytag..I don t think they are the same......further incompetence exhibited by the repairman....yep they Sears Customer Service) kept putting me on hold as well........" If you call/complaint department has such a high volume, you obviously need to hire more people.

Over the last 4 months I have had nothing but trouble with my washing machine and the people who are suppose to be trained to fix them.
I have filed a number of complaints also against the product and the people who are suppose to fix it.
The first time it was said to be fixed the man was very rude to me and said under his breathe to the other man with him that the washing machine stunk. Now I know for a fact it does not. I have cleaned it with hot water a white vinegar. He also made me feel less than capable of running a washing machine and care for one. I assured him the washing machine was not fixed but he knows best, right. Wrong in less then a week it was doing the same thing it had done prior.
Someone else came and said it needed parts and ordered them on the 14th of December. The parts arrived and the repair person was to arrive on December 23. He never showed up but he said he did. Now I am absolutely certain he did not. Then was told he got sick later on in the afternoon. So we had to call to reschedule was given the 30th of January. Again literally waited all day long, called repeatedly man never showed up but again said he was here. The people over the phone tried to get him to come back but he was already gone for the day. Had to again call to reschedule was given another day but do not have a receipt because this time the guy did actually show up got out of his van my husband said, " good evening guess the third time is a charm". The man flipped my husband off (hung him the middle finger) got back in the van and drove off. OMG now what. Both off us were on the phone now my washing machine has been broken for well over 4 months. I am messaging customer complaint on the computer and my husband is calling customer complaint, number one to tell them what the man just did and number two to get someone to fix the washing machine. We both tell what happened, well I guess the man calls in and says he felt threatened that's why he left. Really he felt so threatened that he hung my husband the middle finger then got back in the van and drove off. I believe this is the same man that made me feel threatened but nothing was ever done about it. Now we have to reschedule yet again was given the 31 of January. Yes he did come and he did put the parts on. Today is February 5th and the washing machine is not spinning my clothes and is extremely loud actually made some noises I have never heard it make before and when the load says it is done there is still water in the bowl. This is the first time I have used the machine since it was fixed.
Also, the top of the tub is all tore up. We have said something about this to the complaints department and it has never been addressed. Said something to the man who came to fix the machine and he cut a piece of it off. It looks horrible!
What am I going to do? I have been washing clothes in the basin in the laundry room and hanging them out to dry on days where I can and if I am unable to I am hanging them in the basement. I can not go on like this. Something needs to be done. My concerns need to be heard. Please don't say your sorry do something. Sorry does me nothing. I need a washing machine that works. I paid for a working washing machine and even have the extended warranty but what good is any of this if I can not use the washing machine.

I applied for an in-home consult using the "GET FREE ESTIMATE" button on their website in order to see what my options are to replace a heat pump system and add an additional zone to the house. The rep arrived 1.5 hours late without calling. He then told me that in order for him to do his 'presentation' my wife had to be there as well... I asked why she would need to be present for an estimate, then he told me they "don't do estimates". I said thank you and we would go with someone else. The appointment took 5 minutes and they never tried to do anything to gain my business for a project which could have cost well over 8k. I would not recommend them to change a light bulb.

They put windows in our house then tried to cover up the damage and the poor installation job done by undocumented workers, they could not even pass the final inspection. The windows where the wrong size and they put them anyway. They left broken glass everywhere, our dog was caught chewing on a piece of glass, then my wife cut her foot on a piece and could not work because it was on her heel. Now were stuck with the damaged windows because they were installed wrong. WARNING!!! Do Not Use Sears Home Improvements!!!!

This is the worst company to deal with in the USA. I placed an order on line and after an hour I went to cancel it and Sears customer service would not allow me to cancel it. I have gone round and round with several people to cancel this order without any success. I will never again deal with Sears or K-Mart

6/2/17: I called to schedule a service appointment on TWO of my Kenmore front loading
washers.
6/15/17: Technician arrived and told me that my 2005 Kenmore Washer was not on his work
order, so I will have to be rescheduled to 7/3/17.
7/3/17: Tech never showed up but called us over the phone to diagnose the issue for him. He
asked us to get on the floor to take pictures and read model numbers and serial numbers for
him, which I thought was ridiculous. He told us he knows what part to order.
8/1/17: Tech installed part and left. Error code appears on washer. I again reschedule.
8/17/17: Tech insisted more parts are needed. He rescheduled me for 9/5/17.
9/5/17: Tech installed parts delivered and left. Error code shows up once again. I am
rescheduled for 9/19/17
9/19/17: Tech named Roland called to tell me he was on the way. He never showed up. I was
automatically rescheduled for 10/4/17
10/4/17: I doubt anyone will show up.

working washer. I have spent over $600 on doing my laundry at a dry cleaners. For having

Sears has the worst customer service EVER! I was on hold for 35 mins to check stock on a battery charger. The operator told me she couldn't find anyone on automotive to answer. So the manager comes to the phone to tell me that she is really sorry that she can't check stock in automotive. This was at the Baytown TX store. I spoke to Heather.. The "Manager" what a joke.

Placed an order on the sears app. First I was overcharged. I had one price before I checked out. As soon as I checkout the price got higher. I called customer service and they act as if they are doing me a favor by fixing it. Then the item was supposed to be delivered today and I received a message saying it was delivered already. Yet I never received my item. I called the delivery service and I'm told someone will get back to me in 24 to 48 hours. I call sears customer service and I'm hung up and transfered multiple times and no one helps. So I paid for an item I never received.

I ordered a pressure washer from the Sears web site. Did not know that it was a third party. I followed the tracking on my item and it went to a wrong address across the country. I called the customer service and you could not understand them. I finally got in contact with the party that sold the item. They said they were sorry and ask if i could wait two more weeks and they were out of stock at the time. I said no i already waited two weeks and wanted my purchase price back. I finally received my refund. Will not order anything more from Sears web. The party had a bogus phone number and address on the web site.

Purached a Kenmore Elite a little over 2 years ago. Fridge stopped cooling, called Sears for service and was told it would be over 2 weeks to get a tech out but they could schedule a Sears contractor out for $280 with no additional labor. Did not get a call from the contractor so called Sears back. They rescheduled this time for $105. Tech shows up for all of 15 minutes and tells me it's the compressor and it's under warranty but I have to get a Sears tech out to acknowledge it's the compressor. Call Sears for a 4th time and get an appointment for two weeks later.the tech is a no show and Sears is telling me I am just dropped off the schedule and will have to get back on the schedule for another 2 weeks. This after explaining that I am keeping my 2 year olds milk in an ice chest. Did I mention this fridge cost over $2,800! The really bad part about this is I purchased a Kenmore Elite washer and dryer earlier this year.

***UPDATE*** Sears sent out an experienced technician to fix my fridge. It required him to take it apart to get to a wire that was cut. As soon as I told him how it's been acting he knew exactly what to do. Apparently when you open and close the little door on my 5 door fridge. It causes it to rub the wire harness and begins to cut the wire over time. That is why it kept getting worse and worse the more I used the fridge. Thank you Aurthur for saving my refrigerator.

A "technician" came to try to repair my fridge for the 3rd time. First was on 09-06-19, no luck we had to wait for parts to come in. Second time was on 09-23-19, no luck and more parts have to be ordered. Waiting on more parts. By this time my fridge was getting worse. Third the was 10-24-19 and again no luck. By this time my fridge is completely out and completely isn't doing a thing. He leaves and informs us he is done. We ask was it fixed and he stated that he replaced every major part and nothing is working. We ask if he can start the process of replacing the unit and he informs me he can't. Because if he does then it would effect his service numbers. He told us to call back tomorrow and report that it still doesn't work. He went on to close the ticket and reported the repair was done and the unit is working. I'll be posting the video on YouTube so that everyone can see how he told us that he isn't going to help us because it makes him look bad.

Bought a Kemore Elite freezer in August 2014. It has never worked properly starting with condensation on the door so dense it runs. Sears is very good at sending out repairmen, who by their own admission, state that this should be replaced. It's a complete runaround. They build CRAP and are living off an undeserved reputation for quality. My bad for being sucked into their misrepresentation, Do yourself a big favor and STAY AWAY FROM ANY AND ALL SEARS APPLIANCE PRODUCTS.

I will NEVER purchase anything from Sears again. Your customer service department is absolutely terrible. I am appalled by the way the last representative stopped talking to me when I asked to speak with a manager. She didn t hang up, she didn t put me on hold, she had the nerve to sit in silence when I asked for a manager. I was a life-long patron of your once fine establishment. After this experience, I am NEVER buying from Sears again. I purchased a Nordic Treadmill and was very happy with the delivery team and set up that was provided. After a week of use the elevation became stuck on level 12. I called and asked to return the product after reading multiple reviews on your website. When the delivery men came to my home two days later to pick it up, they refused to move it because it wasn t taken apart. I didn t put it together! No one told me that I had to take it apart either. The representative on the phone then informed me that I would have to pay someone to disassemble the treadmill before the same men that put it together would remove it from my home. I was able to get it taken apart in ten minutes with the help of my neighbor, a mechanic. They could have waited the ten minutes, but the men just left without saying a word to me. They even had the nerve to leave my front door wide open. When I presented. This information was presented to the customer service team via Facebook chat and the response from them was condescending, and oblivious to my issue. Their responses were unwarranted and completely unapologetic. They failed to acknowledge how they had failed me as a customer or offer suggestion on how to make it right until I let them know that I would be reporting them to the BBB and writing a strongly worded letter to the CEO of Sears Holdings. I have a 35 year old 7+ foot tall chain link fence, a 6 year old carpet cleaner, my first and second lawn mower, all from Sears. I have never been treated so poorly. I m shocked and appalled by your response to a call center representatives behavior and I refuse to be talked to in such a manor. I do not recommend Sears to ANYONE.

I have had a Master Protection agreement on my appliances for 30 years. When something broke in the past, someone came out the next day. Now Sears routinely wants me to wait for 3 weeks ( I kid you not!) for repair. No AC for 3 weeks. No Refrigerator for 3 weeks, No washing machine for 3 weeks. The service now is non existent.

They really don't care about there customers and those delivery guys are professional liars. That Ryan should be fired and all those supervisors and managers. First repair appt under Master Protection Agreement was Apr 11th rescheduled to Apr 26, need part, rescheduled to May 1st rescheduled to May 8th, rescheduled to May 22nd, rescheduled to Jun 5th, another part, rescheduled to Jun 14th rescheduled to Jul 3rd, rescheduled to Jul 10th, rescheduled to Jul 30th rescheduled to Aug 20th. One would think for the price paid and paying for a MPA that the repair would have been scheduled closer together and completed in a timely manner. How can a business expect people to shop online and purchase products when my Kenmore Freezer, Washer and Dryer also came from Sears. I just renewed my MPA 5-26-2019, and now we are going into the 3rd month. Everything purchased from Sears has issues weather it is a repair or tool warranty. It is so unreal that it is starting to gain traction on social media let alone that the Better Business Bureau says join the list.

I would give them a negative star if I could!!! Had a 3 pm appointment last Wednesday and the damn tech showed up at 2:50 pm and left a note "sorry we missed you"!!! Husband pulled into drive at 2:59 pm and the tech was gone!!! Then schedule an appointment for the following Wednesday from 1 pm to 5 pm - husband took the day off from work and at 5 pm when the tech hadn't been here he called customer service to learn they had cancelled the appointment!!! NO Show NO call!!! Next appointment is NEXT Wednesday!!! No wonder they are going out of business!!! LAST Kenmore appliance I will ever buy!!! CRAPPY SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Negative 10 stars!!!
