I've read a number of the reviews and now realize that I am not the only person completely disappointed with Sears. Your customer service is beyond poor.
I recently purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator from Sears. I was given a delivery date of March 19th, between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm. I took a vacation day to be home.
The fridge that was in my apartment was removed around 1:00 that day. I waited, and the call came about 4:30. The driver was lost. Unfortunately my address does not come up on some GPS units. He was not interested in directions and told me that he was running late and wouldn't be delivering to me that day. I would have to reschedule for the following week. I told him that was unacceptable. I was transferred to the Delivery Department. They ask me what I wanted them to do. I told them I wanted them to deliver my refrigerator! I was told that it was not possible. And was basically told that it wasn't the driver's fault if it didn't come up on his GPS and that they couldn't put it on a lift truck and deliver it; I would have to wait.
Really? As I recall, Sears delivered long, long before GPS was conceived. Even before the internet! OMG!!!! Imagine that!!!
From then on, the was a long series of online hats, emails, and phone calls....to no avail. In total I contacted at least 8 people.
One thing that became perfectly clear to me was that not once did I speak to someone in the U.S. Most people I talked to spoke fairly fluent English, but there is a problem with comprehension. I was offered a $40.00 discount on my fridge.
That doesn't even come close.
I lost all of the food from my freezer. I lost a vacation day (obviously there are much better things to do than wait for a delivery that never came. And then I had to take an unpaid day the following week to be home for the delivery, so I lost a day's pay.
Thankfully the guys who brought it on the 26th were smart enough to get here. Also, they were very nice. They apologized to me, even though they were a different delivery team.
Looking back, I should have canceled the order. Its sad that a company built on American values has fallen so far. I won't be buying from Sears anymore. Including K-mart (I like to shop online with them). Too bad for Sears. Because of your poor customer service, you've lost one more customer.
