Steve Lerner is exactly the kind of sales representative I want to work with when purchasing a vehicle. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the cars, the process and is very concerned that the choice I was making was right for me and my family. He was professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with.
Dan Weinberger handled the leasing for our deal. He worked very hard to make sure we received a GREAT Rate and explained the different options we could add on without any pressure. He is very knowledgeable about financing, was a professional and easy to work with.
I would recommend Richmond BMW, Steve and Dan to anyone who is in the process of searching for the perfect car!

worst experience every for my daughter with the service department. when she picked up her car it had to be jumped started so she could leave. the car was totaled when she bought it to them. how could they not know. now $2000.00 or more worth of work done and now its totaled. that should have happened from the beginning.. hopefully my daughter does not have to eat those expenses. i did appreciate the way rick handled things by offering my daughter a courtesy car until he could get things right.

Best dealership in Virginia. Staff is incredibly helpful, and clearly trained well to serve the customer. From the sales people to the mechanics and technicians and even the shuttle drivers, everyone at this dealership is a pleasure to work with. I drive 2 hours just to have my BMW 428i serviced at this dealership, when there's another dealership 20 minutes away. They're that different, and it's worth the drive to me.

After an extremely disappointing experience with Brown's Richmond Jaguar (could've easily been solved with proper communication), I decided to surf Richmond BMW's Used Inventory on their site exactly one week ago (August 9th). My wife and I found a 2014 335xi that was at a very good price. I contacted the dealership the next morning to make sure it was still available and they said it was. As soon as I got there in the evening, the car had just been sold less than a few hours prior to my arrival. I was a bit disappointed, but my salesman Joshua Garret, was determined to get me into a BMW. Now I've dealt with previous salesmen and managers that were very pushy, but Josh wasn't being pushy like them; he was incredibly sincere and honest, which really took me by surprise.

First, he had me test drive a Red 335xi that was on the lot to make sure I enjoyed the drive. I definitely did, but I couldn't get myself to take the bite for a color I didn't care for. That didn't stop Josh. So then, he found a very similar 335xi that I initially saw online, but had even less mileage and wasn't even finished in the dealership processing, but it was at Midlothian. Well, after a long talk and dealing with the financial manager and other managers at the dealership, I agreed on a price that I was content with, and the very next day, I became the owner of a very nice 2014 Black 335xi with M Sport, a beautiful Coral Red interior, and loaded with many features. I've never been more happy with a purchase in my entire life! Not an exaggeration!

The salesman said that there was some slight hail damage, and so he said that the Service department will take care of it for me for free. I gave them the car to have it fixed, and just wow! Their service is incredible! I've never dealt with such excellent customer service from a dealership. All in all, I HIGHLY recommend this dealership! Very friendly people who are incredibly respectful of you and your time!

I stopped by Richmond BMW to look at a Lexus. However, after receiving assistance from Lazarus, I drove away in my first BMW. Lazarus was patient, friendly and very knowledgeable. He was a pleasure to work with! Anton made the paperwork signing fast and painless. I went back to have a 101 class on the vehicle and Aaron was equally as knowledgeable and friendly. I m not certain if all three of these gentlemen were hired by the same person but the management team has selected three wonderful staff members whose customer service has proven their true value to Richmond BMW! Having worked with Steve Lerner and Matt Perry for many years, I see that nothing has changed. They are all about taking care of the customer. Matt Perry took care of getting the car brought in and ready for me in a very short time frame. From the moment I arrived, Steve Lerner got all of my info together and prepared my paperwork swiftly. Adam Herbert got me all signed up in the business office and beat the finance rate that I came in with. As always Steve L is very meticulous in his delivery process, making sure all systems are activated and making sure I know how to work all of technologies that came with my car. Richmond BMW has provided reliable service for our cars. BMW service and parts are more complicated and expensive relative to other brands we've driven. Richmond BMW does a good job given the brand they are working with. BMW as a manufacturer has some work to do on the reliability, simplicity, and quality of its electronics and plastic parts. The dealer knows how to fix these things when they happen, better than import shops or DIY.

I spoke with both Aaron s (The first Aaron hung up on me) trying to rectify why I was still getting emails every time the car was serviced at their shop and bills for tolls not paid on a car I no longer had. Both were extremely rude and placing blame on everyone else instead of helping resolve the issue. They ve forgotten that I m a BMW Client- they work for me.

I had my BMW towed to this dealership after a mechanical failure. After 9 days of waiting I received a phone call and had the issue explained to me and I was quoted at an exorbitant price for work that appeared only vaguely related to the mechanical failure. Upon hearing the quote, I requested that they cancel any work they intended on doing to my vehicle and that I would be over the next day (the call came late evening and I had explained to the dealership that I live a significant distance away) to have the car towed elsewhere. Upon my arrival, my keys were missing, and they were unable to locate my valet key.

As a result of my missing valet key (I am guessing this occurred soon after leaving the car with this dealership, though this issue may very well not be related to them), they had to find a way to jimmy open my trunk. This entailed removing the rear license plate light and causing minor structural damage to the slot in which the light goes. When I arrived to have my vehicle towed and paid the bill for the initial inspection, I could not find my vehicle in the back lot.

I could not find my vehicle in the parking lot because it was still in the shop with the hood open despite having told them over the phone that I did not want any work to be done. It was not until after my car was towed to its new destination that I realized that the wire for the license plate light had been removed and tossed in the trunk. The backseats were still completely removed. The light and the wires that went with the light were thrown in the trunk.

There are nearby independent shops that specialize in import repair that I would recommend at a fraction of the price, better quality of work, more honesty, and a quick turnaround. That being said, the one I found was quick to tell me that one of the repairs the BMW dealership quoted for me was, in fact, entirely unnecessary as the unit was in perfect working condition. This part alone, including labor, was over $1,000. I will not be stepping foot anywhere around this dealership again.

The service representative said that my 328i needed to have the belt tensioner replaced.....which had been replaced recently. When I took the car in for a second opinion, the German automotive mechanic said it looked just fine. Hm.......

Today marks the 6th or perhaps 7th time I have been contacted for feedback about this service. So ANNOYING. I wish they would put this much effort into the service itself. I needed an oil change, a state inspection, and a nick & ding service. Twice in the past they failed to contact and schedule the ding shield guy to be there... so, I made extra effort to clarify that point this time. Made the appt over the phone, and even had the guy repeat back to me the services requested and confirm that ding shield would be scheduled. When I arrived, the service rep gave me a blank stare... ding shield? What? No clue whatsoever. He "scrambled" to get the tech in there, and seemed to want a pat on the back even though my advance-scheduled appt ended up taking 10 hours.

Also I question their honesty. They hit me up for over $800 on what was supposed to be an included service, citing a nail in one tire, and a need for a rotation (that wasn't due) that was 'on special'. They reminded me that, sadly, run-flat tires can't be patched. I paid up assuming they were being honest about everything. A work colleague of mine took her 3 series in for service, and was also told a similar story about a nail in a tire - and here's what happened: She paid up similarly, then continued to have problems with the tire. She went back in, and was told she had to buy a new tire... because the tire had been plugged. Here's the rub: the only place she ever got service was at Richmond BMW!!! SO... what happened was, they charged her full price, told her the runflat couldn't be plugged, and then plugged it and sent her on her way. Unbelievable dishonesty! For all I know they did the same thing to me. I wonder if this is an ongoing scam.

I would advise all to steer well clear of this place. I love my 535, but I wouldn't trust this place to service a lawnmower. I originally rated my service 4/5 stars, complaining only about the miscommunication and huge delay. Then the requests persisted for more feedback, so I rated them 3. And the requests just keep on coming. And then I heard my friend Kelly's ordeal with the tire. I am done with these guys.

Their Service Department is full of VERY BAD LIARS. I was told it would 2 hours of labor to remove my bumper and replace my turn signal assemblies. When I questioned my bumper being unaligned after the repair I was told they didn't have to take the bumper to change the turn signal housing. Then instead of just admitting the truth, lied and tried to make up some BS about it still taking the same amount of time like I'm a F'ing moron. To make matters worse, my headlight when out when they had the car and were unwilling to take responsibility. I will NEVER take my car back to them. There are 5 other BMW service shops in the Westend, and I will take my business elsewhere! #NEVERAGAIN

I began my search after deciding to trade my 2016 M2 in for a new X5M. I knew what I wanted so I didn't need to test drive the car. I reached out to Richmond BMW along with many other dealers. Ultimately, Richmond won my business and this will definitely not be my last purchase from them.

Although I am all the way in NJ, it was just the matter of finding a dealer that would buy my M2 and sell me an X5M at the right price while also making the process simple. This was my first time leasing a vehicle out of state. I can honestly say Jenish Shah made this process extremely easy. All the paperwork was mailed over to me and I simply mailed them back signed. Jenish took care of EVERYTHING else in the transaction including the logistics. Jenish found me a vehicle in Florida that had the color combo I was looking for and coordinated everything. I would be lying if I said that I wasn't surprised at how smoothly everything went although there was quite a few moving parts in the transaction. After my experience, I would definitely not be afraid of purchasing a car out of state again. This dealer is excellent. I spoke with the salesperson, sales manager and finance manager and they are all very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Jenish Shah and Richmond BMW for your new or used BMW/MINI purchases!

Rarely do I review products/services on the internet. Rarely do I have good things to say about car purchasing experiences. Because of a recommendation by my son in Richmond, my wife and I traveled 100 miles to visit this dealership. We ended up with a 'new' car largely because Josh Alford was such a pleasure to meet and and was so knowledgeable about BMW automobiles. The entire buying experience was enjoyable, stress-free and efficient. I am 68 . . . this is a first for me. Excellent dealership!

I recently relocated to Richmond from Ohio. My 2011 X3 needed service, so I searched the BMW website to find the nearest dealer. Upon my first visit I met Eddie Dunn. Eddie is great to work with! He was accomodating, thorough, informative, knowledgeable, and friendly. A great service partner! The very same can be said about Rocky the evening Service Writer and Richard - an amazing technician! Very friendly, thorough, accomodating, and willing to explain repairs in great detail.
I walked through the showroom to see the 2015 BMW line-up and was greeted by Rebecca Kunz. She took the time necessary to begin to understand what I needed, the models and styles I liked, and was very patient as I worked through the process. The extensive line-up of so many great vehicles now offered by BMW made my decision a little tougher, but Rebecca was very accomodating (many test drives) and made sure I had all of the information I needed - which helped me tremendously in making the right choice - a 2015 335. Josh Alford was also very friendly, professional, helpful, and was amazingly proficient and efficient when the time came to process the transaction to trade in my X3 for the 335. Thad was also very friendly, professional, and accomodating and worked with me to make the right deal. Nick, a new sales associate, was also very helpful by adding different perspectives which also helped me on my journey.
Overall, I have received nothing but the best possible treatment by the entire staff at Richmond BMW. The Customer Preferred process is much better than the traditional method which often leaves the customer angry or upset thinking they were taken advantage of. I never felt this way throughout the process. The majority of the credit for my great experience needs to go to your staff. An amazing group of professionals. I will definitely be back and will tell others of my great experience!

We didn't buy a car here - we didn't actually get far enough in the process to come here as the car we wanted was at another lot. But when Steve followed up to check on our status and I informed him we already found our vehicle, he is the only one of many sales persons who simply congratulated us and wished us well. I'll remember that and keep his number for next time.

I have dealt with car dealerships before, but I have yet to experience the level of professionalism working with my Client Advisor/Sales Agent, Jessie Krack. I highly recommend requesting her as the resource to find you the car you are looking for. I continue to receive compliments on my new 2018 430i xDrive MSport package with Snapper Rocks Blue color every single day. Co-workers and strangers are in awe, and I just tell them to talk to Jessie. I am very happy with the process and purchase of my vehicle.

Interesting that I should write this as nothing was fixed on my car. It was that trip to the doctor, you know when... What has been bothering you, suddenly cant be found....
Regardless, the rattling will be sorted out in due time. I am not concerned. What I will note, is the pure interest in my case and sincere dedication to working it out best they could struck me as how I run my business. My second BMW, will always go back.

Purchased a used vehicle from Richmond BMW with pick-up scheduled for a Tuesday afternoon. When we arrived at the dealership, we were immediately greeted by Daniel. We were offered refreshments and then were taken directly to the vehicle. The car was exactly as represented. We test drove the vehicle as Daniel answered all questions regarding the operation. Upon returning to the dealership and prior to completing the final paperwork, Daniel reviewed all details and functions of the vehicle. We consider our time at Richmond BMW a 5 star experience and were impressed by the knowledge and professionalism of everyone we involved in the process.

Tim was a good service advisor but their techs either misdiagnosed or failed to properly diagnose an issue with my coolant system. It wasn't until I was almost 200 miles away in North Carolina, after having broken down again, that another BMW service department found fault codes indicating an obvious issue that had been occurring before I took it to them. If they would have caught these codes they would have saved me a great deal of time, aggravation, and money...

Overall, it was a bummer to need the repair considering my overall low usage of the car but pleased with how BMW and the dealership stepped up to assist.

I feel that there are those who are willing to go above and beyond to make a sale, then there are those who are willing to go above and beyond for the customer. However, once the sale has been made there are a lot of opportunities to continue to assist the customer and to make them want to be a repeat customer. This is where those who only want to make a sale fall far short of the latter type. When the car broke down 3 days after the purchase the managers went above and beyond to fix the issue. But when my paper tags were about to expire, and when they were expired and I again could not drive the car, I could not actually speak to someone who could help me. I left voicemails that went unanswered. Multiple calls were directed to a voicemail despite my insistence on being directed to a live person. I felt that had I walked into the dealership I would get what I needed done but if I called I was not a priority at all.

I definitely appreciate the attention to detail that is given during the purchase process. I contacted Charles Armstrong and requested to see a certain vehicle and it was pulled up front and waiting for me by the time I arrived. This was my first car purchase in 9 years. The staff was professional and courteous throughout the process, and I never felt pressured to close the deal. My sales associate, Steve Lerner, was extremely helpful in all phases of the sale, from ensuring the vehicle was prepped for a long test drive to pushing my vehicle through the generous appraisal process. I peppered Steve with numerous questions about the vehicle, a 2017 Mercedes-AMG GLE 43, and he answered most to my satisfaction. What questions he couldn't answer off hand, he found the answer in short order. I was particularly impressed that he, a BMW salesman, was knowledgeable about the competitor's products. I also wanted to compliment Anton, the financing rep. He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Again, no pressure EVER. There is no doubt that I will buy a vehicle from this dealer and Steve again, maybe even a BMW :)

Let me start out by saying this was my first car buying experience ever, and I never imagined it would go as smoothly and stress-free as it did! I went into this with stereotypes in my head as to how buying a car from a dealership would go and they completely blew me away. I had the pleasure of working with Drew and Adam and they were fantastic! Both were very knowledgeable and understanding of my situation and needs and I drove off the lot with a better deal than I ever thought possible. Drew was very upfront with me from the beginning and was far from your typical pushy car salesman. Quite the opposite, he was very pleasant and informative and wanted to see that I go the best deal for my dollar which I appreciated immensely. I will and have highly recommended Drew, Adam and the rest of the Crown Mini of Richmond team! I came to Richmond BMW from over 300 miles out of town because they had exactly the car I was looking for at the right price. When I first contacted the dealership, I was shuffled around between a few employees before landing with Steve Lerner. He was very helpful and patient with answering all of my questions, of which I had many. It's always a somewhat uneasy feeling travelling that far to potentially buy a vehicle sight unseen, but Steve was able to put all of my worries at ease.

If there is one thing that I can say that was less than stellar about the process, it was the frustratingly long wait to see the person to do all of the paperwork. I'd estimate that I sat for a good 4 hours before I could even be seen. Besides that little hiccup, everything else went along without a hitch. I wouldn't hesitate to make the trip again if they had another car that I was looking for.

I don't normally write reviews, but this dealership, especially Steve Lerner and management (Akshay), were incredible to work with. I live in the DC area and this BMW dealership is worth the drive (best in the Maryland, DC, Virginia area). I purchased a new Z4 and this dealership was honest, professional, easy to work with and gave me an incredible deal! I will be purchasing my next BMW from them and will be referring family and friends. They made purchasing a new car such a joy. 10/10.

I was interested in purchasing a white certified preowned BMW x1 and was presented with good options from the dealership. I do not live in the Richmond area and the remote buying process was amazing. Nick, my sales manager was able to guide me along my purchasing process, and answer all question through pictures texts and emails in real time. The financing process with Shashank was very fair and efficient as well as trade in process and price. Nick delivered the car to me (out of state) and served as the genius explaining the cars features. It was a super car buying experience. I was unimpressed with the customer service and the time that I spent at the dealership. I arrived @1130am and didn t leave until 6pm. I left the dealership with limited knowledge of the features of the vehicle and the vehicle was not cleaned appropriately. Since I had my vehicle I have noticed a few things about the vehicle that concerned me. I bought a cpo and the oil already needs changing and vibration in wheel or steering. Good thing is it s under warranty and I m taking it to the dealership tomorrow. I don t like that I have to do this less than a week of having the vehicle. And yes, I spoke to someone at the dealership that states all services has been performed- definitely not what I expected for a luxury car dealership.

I am the owner of a 2002 325ci and she was in need of an alignment and other suspension work badly as well as the final resistor blower had failed on one of the hottest days yet! My baby also has recently been cutting off on me so I asked them to diagnose the problem. These guys work with a determined attitude. They needed to keep my car in order to do all the service and Kyle was so kind to lend me a courtesy vehicle. I kept the courtesy vehicle 4 days and when I picked up my baby she was freshly washed and drove like it was 2002 again! These guys are the best ever! low prices for parts and labor far exceeded my expectation. They also enrolled me in a car club to get free wiper blades as long as i have my baby serviced by them..All in all the service is top notch. not one complaint

I've got a Mini Countrymen S. I had a starting problem and had to use Mini roadside service to get it to Crown Mini on Sat morning. The tow operator was prompt, professional & helpful. Steve was on duty at the Service dept. and tried to work it into the schedule that day. Although they couldn't get to it on Sat., it was fixed, serviced and ready for pickup by 2 PM Monday. I was given a detailed explanation of the original problem, and what was done to correct it. We could not have asked for better service than that which we received from Steve, Rick and the entire Mini service team.

As my service advisor for over four years, Tim Peterson has my utmost respect. He always makes certain everything is spot on... Years ago, a sales associate sold me a BMW. I don't need another sales associate to convince me about Bavarian motors or dealerships. Ric/BMW's service department has done that with aplomb.

When our BMW 540i broke down just as we entered Virginia on our trip South, it was towed to Crown BMW in Richmond.
There Tom Gemellaro took over as our contact and service advisor. Tom quizzed us closely about all events leading up to the breakdown and how it happened. He then kept us well informed of what was happening and any progress. He arranged for a loaner car for local transportation, and later arranged for a rental vehicle to get us home if our car couldn't be repaired quickly.
Tom really went out of way for us and made our detour much more pleasant then it could have been.

The service at this place is HORRIBLE!!! I have continuously brought my car here for numerous services and have spent A LOT of money here and not once have a gotten my car back with the initial problem totally resolved... EVERYTIME I get my car back (mind you after waiting for weeks sometimes a month at a time) it s ALWAYS a new problem that costs me at least $1000... This is the last straw!!! BMW has had my car for over a month this last time for an oil leak that I thought I had already repaired but NO this time it was the lower pan that was leaking ($2500) so I fixed it, got my car back and the VERY NEXT DAY a message comes on in my car reading engine temp high please drive moderately I immediately called Tim my service provider and he told me to bring it in... I dropped my car off yesterday morning at approximately 8:30 am it is now 11:00 am the next day and I call and they tell me that my car will not be looked at today because Tim is out of the office...???? Really??? Like y all didn t have my car for over A MONTH ALREADY!!!! I m beyond upset and frustrated with this service department I really feel like they have people working on cars that has no clue what they are doing or are just not doing what they are suppose to be doing... it s no way that everytime I get my car back it s always a problem that wasn t there before I dropped it off to be repaired!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE
