The service here is excellent. Every dealership has cars, but the management and staff can make or break your car buying experience. I had a rare occasion where the factory missed an option. The dealership didn't miss a beat! They immediately found a replacement vehicle and even let me take the other vehicle home while I waited for the other to come in. Who does that? Richmond BMW!

I went in yesterday to get my state inspection and oil change. The service there was great. My service representative kept me informed all along the way. I needed two tires and I was there for some time. I enjoyed the Starbucks Coffee in the BMW Waiting Room while I watch the news and read the complimentary newspaper. If you have problem with your BMW, do not hesitate to take it to Richmond BMW. There is there an advisor called Paul Taylor. Try to talk to him and he will take care of you. When i have problem with mine, he take time to explain everything to me from the diagnostic all the way to the repairs. I really appreciate him with his Manager. Take your BMW to Richmond BMW in order to get it fixed in RIGHT WAY.

She was great. You need to have more people to do the financing papers.
We has a signed contact before we left our house in Raleigh NC. at 5:18 PM.
We arrived at Richmond BMW at 8:20 PM, Eve took good care of us with coffee and snacks, It was well after 10 PM before we could leave with the I3 we purchased. It was 2 AM when I got back home with the wonderful car. Thanks again Eve without your help someone else would have bought our car!

The professionalism and courteousness of the service team did it for me. They take customer service to another level. I love it! I also had some interactions w/service director. When I tell you I can t remember experiencing such great service being exemplified all the way around! BMW exceeded my service expectations!

I had an issue with a part in my car that was no longer under warranty. Matt, without hesitation, offered to fix the problem for me at his expense and gave me a loaner car so I could get back to the office. Problem was fixed in a few hours and I returned to find my car fixed and super clean as well - my floor mats haven't looked that good since I bought the car! Thank you Matt for all of your help today and Nick Iantosca was great too! Thank you so much for helping me today!

Bought a 2013 Mini Cooper and the experience was extremely pleasant. Paul Baldwin was my salesperson and he was knowledgeable and very helpful, answering all of our questions and following up after the sale. The sales manager, Young, was also very helpful and prompt.

We got a great car at a fair price with excellent service. That is all that I ask for from a dealer.

Don't buy or lease a car from anyone other than Steve Lerner! He is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and great to work with. He arranged my lease with the right terms and at a fair price, and assured everything was great from the moment I walked into the showroom until the lease disposition three years later. I'll also add an extra shout out to Akshay Mahale in the Finance office and Travis Pearson in the Service department.

I used to think this is the place to go. I was wrong. The only objective here is to coerce clients to overpay for service they do not need. I was charged for things that were not done and had to argue to take these charges back. Be warned and watch your bill carefully. I'm not going back.

I purchased a Mercedes from Richmond BMW last year. I called to schedule my initial appointment for an oil change and state inspection. We were advised this takes approx. 90 minutes upon arrival. 90 minutes later I texted Paul Taylor, the service consultant for an update on the status of my vehicle. He never responded so 30 minutes later I returned to the service department. When approached he informed me that they had to go across town to Midlothian to obtain the oil filter. I am not sure why he couldn't share that info with me when I sent the text nor why they did not proceed with securing the oil filter prior to my arrival since they do not maintain an inventory for Mercedes vehicles. When the service work was done, we pulled out of the building and noted that the dashboard lights were all on. We waited a few minutes and when they failed to go off, we returned to the service dept. They examined the vehicle and came back to tell us it wasn't their fault. That's it! The dashboard wasn't lit up like a Christmas when we brought it in and it is when they are done with it. They had to notice it when they drove it from the repair area to the bay for us to pick it up. I can not express how disappointed we were with the way we were treated and the total lack of responsibility and indifference from Mr. Taylor and the staff. You have lost a customer for life.

I have purchased 20+ cars through the years. From traditional dealers and the newer "no-haggle" dealers. This particular purchase was my favorite experience. The main reason was Anja Heyne. Anja was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, engaging and not pushy. Every aspect of the experience was easy, timely and courteous. More impressive than all those traits that went into the sale, was Anja's after the sale follow up. A courtesy call to see how I was liking the new car, an invitation to a Mini event, a call to follow up on a service appointment. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. That is a big statement when we are talking about buying a car. Young Choe was great as a sales manager with support and follow up as well. I will start with Anja first when I go to purchase my next vehicle. I highly recommend that those reading this consider the doing the same.

I was looking for an inexpensive used car after my car was stolen. I visited Crown BMW of Richmond and saw a really nice deal on a used Mercedes trade-in. Dan was in the parking lot and greeted me warmly and without being pushy. He directed me to Andre who helped me through the test drive and the process of buying a car. I really liked the car and negotiated a price with them. Dan and Andre were really fair with the price we agreed upon. I felt very well treated as a customer although the amount of money I spent on the used car was very little. I felt like Dan and Andre had my interest and offered me an excellent deal. I really appreciated their knowledge, professionalism and the courtesy they showed me. I would definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and will likely purchase my next car from them as well.

Have been taking my car to them for over a year and they did an okay job with until my last visit. The service technician told me I had to get all my brakes replaced, a $1500 job. The on board monitor told me I had 19000 miles left before my brakes needed replacement. Took it to a different auto shop where the mechanic there told me the brakes were close to new.
May have been this one technician trying to get his commission for the $1500 but they lost a paying customer.
And as I leave my review here it does look like most of the positive reviews here are written by dealership themselves.

I would have given 5 starts but the passenger wiper blade flew off the vehicle on the way home. When I inspected them at home the driver's came off with a slight pull (it appears someone installed the wrong kind). I had to purchase a set @ $45 the following morning as it was already raining.

A++My experience at Richmond BMW was awesome!! When my wife and me arrived Daniel came outside and introduced himself to us. His energy was great you could tell he loved his job. He introduced us to Eve because one of our family members recommended her. Eve was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She was very professional and always had a smile on her face. She found out what type of vehicle we were looking for. She told us that there was this particular vehicle that was in our budget. As soon as we saw the vehicle we immediately fell in love with it. After the test drive we purchased it. The entire staff there was very nice and very professional. I highly recommend Richmond BMW.

I brought my car in for diagnosis to BMW west broad st because it wasn t starting, I was told that my car needs a new engine for almost $18000

Please see the report coming very shortly. If we proceed I will negate the diagnosis fee. If you decline and take the vehicle the charge will be only $238 for the checkout/diagnosis time (gave you a discount rate) and you can tow it out at your convenience

I told Brian the technician who worked on my car that I had a warranty that I bought from you guys
And acted like he didn t see anything until I had to go to Crown Acura (next door) to bring them my warranty info! Then I was told I have to wait few days for inspectors to come in!

I received a text message the day after from Brian

I have just confirmed this repair *will not* be covered by your warranty. Your car is ready to be towed out at any point. The bill is $238 as previously discussed

I have called the warranty provider to check on this issue and I was told that NO ONE from crown BMW Broad St, had called or even asked about my car case!!

I called BMW at Midlothian and explained to them my situation and how I was lied to and got charged diagnosis fees for no reason, they asked me to bring my car in, had it diagnosed and started a case with the warranty provider, Inspectors from the warranty provider came in to inspect everything and finally was approved for a replacement engine.

I am very upset by the way I was treated at BMW wast Broad.
Very unprofessional and good liars! They didn t even bother to call the warranty! Just one technician decision to lie to customers,
Just simply because he didn t want to do the work or the effort that the warranty company requires in order for them to start the case. And wanted me to pay almost 18k to replace my engine!
Just for one lazy person didn t want to do their job... for a warranty that you guys own that I paid so much money for to cover me in the future..

I am very disappointed with that location and very thankful to the Midlothian location and their honest technician Jeff who helped me the whole time ....

There are many options in the area for servicing a BMW, often times cheaper than going to the dealer. I continue to bring my car here because of Tim Peterson. He's been my go-to Service Advisor for nearly a decade, and I can't say enough positive things about him. He provides consistent, stellar service and always has the back of his customers. He'll never try to sell you a service your car doesn't need, and he'll work with you parse out the must-do vs. can-wait repairs. He provides frequent updates on the status of my vehicle while in the shop, or when waiting for parts, and explains things in plain English. He listens to concerns and is never dismissive or condescending. He's always friendly and courteous, and really enjoys working with people. Tim Peterson is THE reason why I have my vehicle serviced at Richmond BMW.

It is great to have and can be a bit overwhelming, BUT Aaron was to my rescue with ALL the questions I had and I had alot! And he took the time to answer them all. My experience began poorly. I had to wait 45 mins because the receptionist said she didn't want to interrupt the sales meeting. Then the vehicle I wanted wasn't ready, and I was informed it was a demo. The reason I am giving them 5 stars though, is the sales manager Dan. He was genuine, sat down with me, and helped turn the situation around. He is an asset to your organization. At the end of the day, people like him make the difference. I am a true "Car Guy" and over the years have purchased hundreds of cars so when I comment on a sales person and/or dealership, it comes from a wealth of experience! I recently purchased a Mini Cooper S for my wife from Richmond BMW. Anja was fantastic. It is so refreshing to work with an individual like her who obviously loves what she does. That is also reflected in her knowledge base which I found to be superior. Usually when I purchased a new vehicle, I know more about it than the sales person but not this time! Overall, Anja and Richmond BMW made this the best car buying experience I have ever had! I can't wait to be a repeat customer!

I started my day with my service tech who is the b...

I started my day with my service tech who is the best in the world, Tim Petersen. Tim always maintains constant contact with me every step of the service by physically calling me if I don't notice email. He always makes sure all bases are covered and is frank in telling me about how long my car will he and making sure transportation is arranged and I get taken and picked up to destinations returning to BMW. Of course snacks are always offered here in the am at West Broad location but Tim went the extra mile getting me a banana to eat with my meds providing the potassium since I forgot that pill at home.
While waiting I decided to browse over to peep in the new car area and guess whose back? Josh Garrett. Joshua was also formerly from the service division and BMW has recognized him as sales material. He's a great guy as well and sold me with his refusal to be tacky and pushy and is just as calm as a buyer wants their sales person to be when tossing out money on a BMW. I was sold on my new 740xi in record time after looking at the X5. Joshua took me for test drive and addressed every question I had about the vehicle, made sure I had solid numbers to make my decision final, emailed signature pages to me while I was tending to business so when I finished I could immediately review them, submit my docs and be processed for financing within minutes. Joshua made this entire process a great worry free experience and I know I was glad I went back to him when I wanted quality BMW service by a sales specialist who likes doing his job to earn his commission.
Next I visited Shashank in financial area. Talk about a young manager who BMW recognized obviously as a key player in this car buying arena at west broad. He totally reviewed the contract, explained the warranty, showed everything I was signing in a readable print on computer and assured me I was at a comfortable interest rate and payment. He even answered questions I emailed and phoned about after signing contracts.
the hidden gem of this dealerships team is Aaron. Aaron is a young, brilliant enthusiast whose 100% all in for the growth of this dealership. He was willing to answer each and every question I had about the vehicle I had just purchased and its operation for about an hour and then an additional hour by phone. There was not one thing on my tick list with him he did not guide me through so I fully understood. The main thing I took away from our conversations was that Aaron did his darn homework on this vehicle, studied it like a bar exam and was able to conquer any question posed to him about this vehicle. He even kinda named it for me. I called the car "it" or, "the car". Aaron choose rather to refer to the vehicle as "she." He no doubt takes his job seriously and I envision this young man with a future paved in ambient lighting so bright people will realize he's a diamond in the rough.
This is my second vehicle purchased at Richmond BMW, West Broad. The first in 2009 I left mad as hell feeling cheated and promising never to deal with them again for purchasing; but, these 4 guys and their managers regained my trust in their dealership by going the extra mile and assuring my decision to buy my 3rd BMW with them was a good deal. Working with these guys, you cant go wrong and will leave West Broad knowing you made the right decision to visit and buy a BMW there...and that's the whole, long, truth !

The time I spent looking for a used car at Richmond BMW with Steve Lerner was a great experience and worth the long distance travel. Steve is professional, knowledgable, and personable. Due to inventory and the car options I desired, I ended up purchasing a CPO from another dealership. However, I can honestly say that I wish I could have given Steve the sale due to his exceptional service.

I recently purchased a Mini for my wife at Richmond BMW. She and I spent an afternoon with Steve Lerner looking at and test driving different Mini's until she was confident this was her vehicle. Steve was patient, took his time with us and in the end she was overjoyed with her choice of vehicle. By the time we left that day we had met with Service technicians, as well as most of the staff dealing with the Mini sales. We were very impressed and extremely satisfied with a pleasant car buying experience as well as the fun we seemed to have with Steve while buying the car.

However this review is not about the Mini we purchased in January, it is about the BMW X5 I just purchased for my use. Richmond BMW and Steve Lerner have my wife and I as customers for life now. We are both happy in our new vehicles and thank all the staff for all their help.

I went to this dealership about a month ago. Stood in the middle of their showroom waiting to be greeted or approached by a sales staff for 10 minutes. After being unnoticed by 5 - 6 staff members, I decided to walk up to them and told them I was interested in one of the vehicles on the lot. They gave me the key so I could go see it myself (said someone will be right out, to show it to me) only to find out that the vehicle s battery was dead. Great! Another 15 minutes went by (waiting outside for a salesman) finally decided to go in and give them the key back. And no one wanted to grab it from me! Worst experience I have ever had in my entire life. Decided to go to the dealership next door to find out they are run by the same owner. Unlike you all, crown Acura s customer service was better. But after the horrible experience at your dealership I decided to take my business somewhere else. I wish I could give them 0 stars. This place is the worst!!!

I'd go 4.5 stars but not 5 for a couple of reasons. Recently purchased a pre-owned 1 series from out of state. The dealership arranged delivery and handled all the typical car buying logistics smoothly. The car arrived perfect and the team at Richmond BMW were helpful along the way. The reason for the 4.5 and not an all out 5 is dealing with the financing. 1. They would not allow me to put a deposit on the car so I could arrange my finances. Given I was out of a state and agreed to buy the car at asking price I would have like options for financing. They preferred I used their 0% financing through BMW. Given I have excellent credit I was surprised to get a 7+%interest rate. In the time it took to exchange paper work I could have wired them the money. I'm all about the dealership getting their reward but had I been local I would have had more options to secure financing. The car is amazing, exactly as they advertised and for someone not very trusting, the sales manager, Dan, asked me to take a leap of faith and I'm glad I did. My salesperson, Andre was super responsive and helpful, Anton walked me through everything and fielded all my questions and bridged a conversation with Jackie who is responsible for registrations. Excellent service from a great team, thank you for my dream car!

After top dollars for a simple oil change and very minor maintenance checks (about $200) I was charged over $28 for shuttle service 5 min distance?? Really??!! And by the way I had to wait 1 hour and fourty five minutes for being picked up on the way back!! Ridiculous

I did have a few issues starting out which they did work to fix for me without a problem. Even the GM Pamela contacted me to get the issue s resolved and I truly appreciate that. My rear brakes were making an awful noise so I called the service center and set up an appointment. The lady who made my appointment asked if I was going to wait or just drop the car off. I asked her how long does it take to replace rear brake pads and rotors and she said a couple of hours, I told her I would wait. My appointment was for 8am, I go there at 755am and my service adviser told me he'd have me out of there in a couple of hours. That's where all the good customer service stopped. 1.5 hours later I'm still waiting for their diagnosis. I ask my service adviser and he finally got back to me 15 minutes later stating "there's nothing wrong with your brakes but we found a few other issues". I told him that can't be right and that I wanted to go on a ride along with the service tech. 30 minutes later my adviser comes back and tells me they found the issue with the brakes. The only reason they said there was nothing wrong with my brakes is because the little computer they hook the car up to said I still had 3,500 miles before I needed to replace them but if they actually listened to their customer and took the car for a drive they would have found the issue immediately. I've now been waiting there 2 hours for them to figure out what was wrong with my car when I was told it would be fixed in 2 hours. Then I'm told that the car won't be ready for another 4-6 hours and on top of that my service adviser gave me a list of problems that he wanted me to fix. I knew something was shady here so I took my car and went to Bimmer Rescue a few miles away. I asked those guys about the other issues that BMW was trying to get me to fix and only 2 out of the 7-8 issues BMW wanted me to fix were actually legit. Bimmer Rescue had my brakes repaired in 2 hours, did it for less money, guaranteed their work with an excellent warranty, and they gave me a rental car for those two hours. What I don't understand about BMW is, why set up an appointment for a customer if you're not going to give that person any priority? Why aren't the service adviser and service tech communicating the needs of their customer better? Why do all of them not value their customers time? Why do they lie about repairs that need to be made when they don't? If you don't value your time and want to get ripped off, go to Richmond BMW on West Broad Street. One of the best dealership experiences I've ever had. My CA was great to work with, and was able to get me a great price on a car that no other dealership was willing to work with me on. I took a gamble and came to this dealership from 250 miles away and I couldn't have been happier. The treatment and presentation of the car were awesome - it was in a private garage inside the dealership showroom when I got there.

Other dealerships should take note of this one.

I have honestly never encountered a dealership, or a business of any sort, that goes to such lengths to be sure their clients are satisfied. They bend over backwards. I don't know where they found the general manager and the service manager, but those two guys will do whatever it takes to solve a problem, and are happy to do it. The vehicle I took to them with a problem that was possibly caused by their technician when they were getting this trade-in ready to sell was not a $50,000 BMW, it was a VW Rabbit that was traded in and that they were selling basically as is for less than $7,000, but they treated me and my problem as if I had bought the most expensive Bimmer on the lot. I have no hesitation in recommending them 100% from both a sales and a service standpoint.

Every time I get regular maintenance at Richmond BMW, Tim Peterson, my service adviser, helps me get superior service. His professionalism, integrity and customer centric behavior are exceptional. Being very knowledgeable, Tim always tries to provide the right solutions and save me money in the process. My 2015 5 series BMW has only needed regular maintenance and a couple of tires. As I was nearing the end of my lease for my 2011 328i, I set up an appointment with Steve Lerner to discuss my options moving forward. I was surprised to get fantastic service from not only Steve, but from the entire team at Richmond BMW. Everyone on staff was friendly, helpful, and great to work with. They did a great job of explaining different financing strategies and the benefits of leasing vs. purchasing. I left feeling like all of my questions had been answered in a straightforward manner. It made the process much less stressful than I expected, and I ended up buying a 2014 320i xDrive that I absolutely love. Thanks guys!

I had my car towed to Richmond BMW due to a Radiator leak. I have not been there for years since I purchased my 2005 X5. When I arrived they already had it in the Repair shop to look and see what was wrong with it. Tim from Service greeted me and called me by name. I was impressed that he new my name still but I have bought 5 cars from them. He said it was going to take several days to get the parts in so he gave me a loaner vehicle. Tim explained everything that was causing my problem and gave me a price. When I picked it up it was actually $300 less than what he originally quoted me. I received Excellent Service from the Team there and plan on buying another X5 BMW from there next year. I was completely Satisfied and would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

First rate service from RJ and Akshay. I am a notorious car flipper, but RJ worked very patiently with me to ensure I would be happy with my purchase. I have purchased several vehicles from Richmond BMW before and the service was good, but not great like this most recent one.
