PUGI VW service is complete incompetent and unwill...
PUGI VW service is complete incompetent and unwilling to fix basic issues for the 2017 GTI I bought NEW from them. so clearly my business is not wanted here.
I brought the car in for first oil change at ~8k miles and mentioned I can smell burnt oil in cabin. after service, they said they can't duplicate my problem. I can still smell it after service, after 1k mile, brought it in again, and want them to look over the car, service manager walked in, said can't smell anything in vents, popped hood, said there is nothing wrong, there is nothing he can do. suggest I change cabin air filter (paper can't filter out hydrocarbon) or go drive a prius. The car is under warranty and I bought the car from them apparently did not even warrant them pull it into service bay and do a basic check. I brought it to Bill Jacobs VW, complained about the smell, service manager smelled it right away and pulled it into service bay and mechanic removed the plastic engine cover, shined flash light, and found engine oil leaking from valve cover directly over the exhaust manifold, confirming exhaust is cooking the oil seeping out from valve cover gasket and ordered a part to fix it.
The service manager at PUGI treated me as if I was asking them personally paying for the repair, which I don't understand, It's a new car under warranty, and I bought the car from them, they won't even do a basic check with my complaint? and this issue is easily identified under 3 minutes at Bill Jacobs VW. Don't buy a car from PUGI or service there, unless you want to deal with miserable idiots. By the way, they didn't even remove the suspension shipping pucks on my car when they deliver it to me, causing really harsh ride, until I searched the issue and removed them myself. my health and safety means nothing to them, they just want the money. VW GTI is a great car though, experience at this dealership is beyond terrible.
