Review of Pugi Volkswagen

This is a review of the service department at Pugi VW.

Which wins the award for WORST VW service in the Chicago metro area.

I reluctantly take my '02 Beetle, '07 Eos, ' 15 Jetta, and '16 Tiguan to Pugi VW for service because it is near my office.

On multiple instances the caliber of service was abysmal ...

And by 'abysmal' I mean..

- I have retrieved my vehicle post service with warning lights illuminated that were not even on when dropping the car off.

- Also had the same warning light being on and not addressed. . . after service was allegedly completed.

- The car being dirty and REEKING of body odor, when I dropped it off freshly washed.

The list goes on. . . But for brevity - it is my most recent and last encounter that was truly epic and is the inspiration for this review. . .

I made a service appointment online for my leased 2016 VW Tiguan to receive 30k mile scheduled maintenance, and requested I would need a loaner vehicle when making the appointment.

When arriving for my appointment I was told there was no loaner available. I plainly stated if such was the case I would not be leaving my vehicle and need to reschedule.

Instead of simply proceeding with rescheduling the appointment, the service manager Jeremy Gascoigne interjected himself into the conversation between me and the advisor, so he could start barking at me in an unrefined manner about how I never asked for a loaner. . . .

I have a snapshot of the appointment confirmation documenting the request, and I responded with the simple fact that is customary of VW to provide a loaner vehicle, as has always been my experience.

Long story shot . . Jeremey continues his tirade . . listing off all the things Pugi is not obligated to offer nor provide. . . and ended with asking me where I purchased my VW, and scoffed because I did not purchase at Pugi.

The interaction ended with Jeremy exuberantly telling me to go back to the dealership I bought it from - -

My conclusion - - this dealership is just total trash.

My advice to the consumer - - Get your Vdub serviced at any other dealer. Unless you want your car to smell like the most pungent body odor on the planet.

Hawk, Autobarn, Bill Jacobs, Fox Valley wash your VW and give you a loaner without even being asked.

My advice to the dealership - - up your game or go out of business.

Lastly, a Final Note to the dealership :

Mister Gascoigne,

I am more than happy to satisfy your request to go to another dealership.

Best of luck with all your Service Manager endeavors.
