Where do I begin? A company with no telephone option to speak to anyone at the corporate level. They want you to write a letter - LOL (its 2020). That should tell you a lot about this company. They talk about customer service being important but it s only lip-service. Don t believe me? Try calling their office in Eau Claire.

Why pay Menards high prices and be ignored by their rude sales people when I could go to the Depot, be ignored all the same, but pay lower prices? Many years ago, I used to shop at Menards due to the sales help I received but no longer. As they say...at least kiss me before you F^%k me!

We purchased items at menards to rennovate our home because of the 11% rebate. I've turned in all of our rebate receipts in a timely manner. We've waited the required 6-8 weeks for processing of these rebate receipts only to get the rebate check and see that its $30+ short of what it should have been. Some of our rebates still haven't been processed and they were submitted in the beginning of july 2020. The rebate amount you are given does not equal the rebate amount stated on the bottom of the rebate receipt. If you purchase items at menards because of the 11% rebate they offer, you aren't going to get back what they say you are. The rebate that we have received (not counting what still has yet to be processed) was for over $800 worth of items and we received a $55 check.

I made a large purchase ($6,000) and submitted an 11% rebate only to receive an $89.39 rebate. Easy math to see I'm short over $500!

When I contacted the corporate headquarters I received a response from Brenda Garrett, manager of Guest Services that said no additional rebate monies are due and she's glad she could be of help!

They didn't help at all!

Advertising a rebate and not following through is fraud!

I'll continue to dispute this and they won't get a dime of my money until its resolved! I hope Menards doesn't mind losing tens of thousands of dollars a year for a $500 rebate!

I live near a competitor (Home Depot) which is 1.5 miles from my house. But I thought I would give Menards on S. Hanley in Brentwood, Mo. some business even though it's 9 miles away, but closer to an investment property I plan to completely renovate. The experience was a nightmare! I purchased a vanity on 9/11/2017 and when we opened the box we found the back of the vanity was broken in four places. The store's General Manager was notified immediately and has done nothing to rectify the matter. I've never heard a word from the General Manager and instead the department manager keeps sending me emails that they are in contact with the Buyer (what????) but haven't heard anything. Very poor customer service.

I wish I would have looked at the Menards reviews first!! It horrible to see that Menards has taken advantage of so many and they lie and say they have any committment to customer serivce!!!! Will defiantly be spreading the word about how horrible of an experience I have had. They don't care how we are treated. They put up every block to prevent handling how horrible their customer service was!! Lost one

Menard's customer service is the worse!!! I purchase two fans for my new home which when the electrician saw then told to return them. I had my receipt and the items are brand new never opened. I lost my debit card which is the one I purchased the items with but I have the receipts. They told me that I need the actual card that I bought them with to get a refund if not I can only get store credit. There is nowhere in the receipt that says I have to have the debit card to get a refund. I show them the bank transaction and the manager said can't override the system. I asked him to talk to someone in higher management he pretended to go to the phone. He didn't call the management. He call the police whom later came and told me they called him because I'm disturbing the peace by not accepting the policy and I would get arrested for disorderly conduct. I never screamed or did anything but say that I don't want store credit I paid cash basically and I want my money. I refuse to give anymore of my money to that company. The manager never took the time to actually call and get an authorization to refund me the cash even after he spoke with my bank. They refused to receive the items back. I purchased less than 30 days ago!!!! I'm filling a complain to corporate. This is the worse thing can be done to a customer call the police instead of calling their superiors....

Can't believe they didn't tell us when we had them...

Can't believe they didn't tell us when we had them price out materials for our deck, that we would have to spend 3.5 hours in their store looking for each piece without any assistance, then load it ourselves as each time an employee saw us, they would scatter! Nothing is in any order that makes sense. Finally just before it was time to close, then what do you know, an employee showed up to try to help and still didn't know where anything was! Will NEVER BUY ANYTHING THERE AGAIN!

I purchased a couch from Eau Claire West and scheduled it for delivery. Between the time of purchase and delivery, they sold the couch I had bought already. I found it available at other stores further away and asked that they transfer it from there. I was told that it wasn't an option because it would cost them too much money. I guess they don't value their customer service very high. Will NEVER shop there again.

We purchased a ceiling fan from this chappy store. We changed our mines and tried to take it back. We did not still have our receipt so they said lowest price in 90 days. How many ceiling fan are sold in February? After talking to them they would give us 20.00 less then we paid. So I said what do you do with my 20.00 divided it. They thought that I was kidding and laughed. I am so angry about how I was treated. Can anyone help me?

Menards front line female staff (head cashiers and above) has gotten to be very rude, curt & disrespectful! The "I don't care I'm a head cashier attitude" has truly become there norm. Walking behind the customer service counter and mimicking customers truly shows the level of immaturity. Menards hires these people and they must condone the behavior because these are the young women they are also promoting!!! WAKE UP MENARDS!!!!!!!

Do not even try to set up a business account with Menard's. I spend a large amount of money on paint and building material and this is the worst I've seen from a store as far as a business account. Called home depot and set up an account and got ahold of Sherwin Williams for my painting business account. Both places worked out great! Your much better off going to either of those before dealing with Menard's!

You can search for a worse company than Menards, but you won't find one. Ordered some shelving 4 weeks ago, was told delivery in 2 weeks, still no shelves. Tried guest services, nothing but the run around. Called their corporate offices, they could not have cared less about what I had to say. Won't spend another cent with them.

Misleading - A rebate is money back and in your pocket to spend how you wish. Their "rebate" is actually store credit and not an actual rebate. I made roughly a $1700 purchase based on getting a rebate, not store credit. They used deceptive marketing to get my business and will not make this right despite my attempts to contact the local store. Very frustrating!

Purchased paint at the local store and person did not put the lid on tight. On my way home the can tipped and spilt all over my car. Menards is not willing to pay the $400 to pay for the clean up. They have told me it was my responsibility to make sure the lid is on tight when leaving the store, once it is off their property it is no longer their responsibility.
Talked to someone who had a similar issue with Lowes and their car was cleaned and paid for in less than 48 hours.
I would not buy paint from Menards again and suggest you don't either.

OMG - if you want a knowledgeable answer if a DIY project PLEASE do NOT expect to get the right info from a Menard's employee!! Over the year I have had MANY "mini" incorrect experiences with Menards but... now is the time to voice my outrage!! Just recently purchased some wood flooring that was having installed by my contractor. Of course with packaged wood, they also sell all the additional matching pieces, but was saving $$ and wanted bare pieces like T-molding, transitions, stair nose... as such. When I asked, was shown t-molding in window & doors area and bare was as costly as as flooring pieces were so fine (at $18.99 a POP!) I had to settled!! Then today when running in to pick up a few metal transitional pieces - in the flooring department, what do I find but bare T-moldings for only $8.99 - so that's $10 a piece OVER SPENT just because of knowledgeable employees!!

Then spoke to store manager who was of NO Help! Only wanted to know who served me with my purchase so he could educate them - ya right!! But could/would do nothing on over spending price!!
Unfortunately flooring was already placed else I would have returned them ALL!

Just tried to contact corporate on this and darn if there's NO contact # only an email address. So I googled them for the # and what do I get but a VM stating they only take complaints via email. Gee I wonder why. MY SUGGESTION - have your own knowledge of what you what and where it is before ever walking in to a Menard's or better yet - go to Home Depot where they try and hire people of the trade!!!

I rarely shop at Menards. I avoid it whenever possible, only going when I have a specific item in mind or have already looked elsewhere. One primary reason is their rebate requirements. They are antiquated, and seem to indicate that the organization counts on people either forgetting or not wanting to bother sending in the form by mail, meaning they get to keep the money. The least they could do is modernize it by providing the ability to submit the rebate request online.

I ordered a quartz counter top at Menard's in St. Peters Missouri back in March 2016, it has come in broken to the store 4 times.
I am waiting now for Menard's to deliver the 5th order now. I have been waiting 2 hours for this delivery.
Menard's has really poor customer service.
I haven't been able to use my kitchen 100% since March.
Menards tells me I have to write a letter to Corp. Office.....Really..
The GM should be taking care of this situation and I should not have to write a letter or write a review. Like the letter or the review will get anyone's attention.

it came and it is damaged, they want us to keep and send a glue kit out to fix it.
Part on the counter top was left from last time and Menard's wants it back, but i'm not sure the new one deliver today is right until the installer gets here.
i did not give the part of the counter top back to the delivery people and now they want to charge the delivery people or send a Police offer out to get the counter top.
This GM guy Matt is nuts, he is poor representation of a company and he gets by treating customers poorly. We asked for his boss to call us but he said I am as high as you are going to get.

DO NOT BUY ON-LINE FROM MENARDS! PERIOD... Order...

DO NOT BUY ON-LINE FROM MENARDS! PERIOD... Ordered products and paid an extra $65 for express 2-DAY shipping as we needed them right away, and we live over 500 miles from a store. The order went through successfully, but two days later we checked on the order just to see the expected delivery date, and the order was listed as "manufacturer back-ordered"! Why would there system even allow the order when they did not have the product?
We wrote TWICE through the on-line customer care system AS MENARDS HAS NO PHONE CUSTOMER SERVICE, to find out an expected date. We got NO response at all, but the next day the status changed to "Shipped in full". Upon checking the shipping tracking number, it notes "label Created", and five days later, it is still showing "Label Created". These Yahoo's created a shipping label just so they didn't have to respond to my requests. Since, we have written two more times to try to get the order cancelled, and we did get one response saying they are checking to see if they can stop it.
Oh yeah, we contacted the manufacturer of the product to see when delivery to Menards might be, and they indicated there was "NO product back-order". So Menards status was an out right LIE.

I purchased two outdoor chairs from our local Menards for $19.00. It was more than I wanted to spend, but I was going to get $10.00 back for each chair..for the rebate. I have shopped at another Menard's, I realize the rebate is for the store, and takes a while. It's been over 13 weeks, and it says it was processed on June 29th. I have called and left messages, emails...but all I receive was an email regarding more "deals". I have shopped at Menard's for overx10 years...but NO MORE! It's such a rip-off! No one will get back to me!

Since the Covid-19 has happened, everytime I go into the store everyone has a bad attitude. I have had to go into the parking lot and get my own flat cart for a 1500 dollar patio set because none of the employees want to bring them in. I spoke to the manager about it and he laughed before talking to the employee. I went in to get bark 1 week later and there were no flat carts available. The employees that worked in the department refused to go and replenish their carts. I told the employee that I wanted several bags of bark and I would go and get my own cart. When I got back the employee had put the bark back up on the top shelf out of consumers reach. When the employee was asked why, he replied he didnt know where I went!!! I went into Menards to purchase 2000 dollars worth of bathroom remodel items and the sku for the vanity was written down wrong. After being delivered and found out to be wrong, I called the store and the manager told me that because I did not see that it was wrong and purchased it that they would not be held liable for the delivery or return of the product to the store and that I would have to bring it all back and pay another delivery fee. The same manager laughed when I told him the problem and said it is a he said she said matter. I told him that the customer was always right. That is how they do it at Lowes and Home Depot. He said we are not Lowes or Home Depot. So now we are stuck with a vanity that is wrong. When I tried to call corporate they put me into an automated number where I have to complain on a piece of paper rather than an actual human to deal with this problem!

I honestly never write poor reviews, but I'm compelled to write this one given the HORRENDOUS customer service. Every review is true - no live contact, only via email where they can hide behind their canned responses of "sorry for any inconvenience" like cowards rather than actually servicing their customers. The operator claims they cannot give out emails of anyone and if I feel like "changing it up," I can send in my concern via fax. Will never do business with Mendards again. They are sure to be out of business in no time with this type of service. There are far too many better companies out there to treat customers so poorly.

They have not sent me hundreds of dollars of rebates they owe me, and if you email customer service you're wasting your time. Just change to a dollar store already, that's what it's slowly becoming. Name it Junkville.

Having just moved from a city with Home Depot, it is extremely frustrating not to have one in the Eau Claire area. Menards has a decent enough inventory, but customer service at the stores is definitely inferior to HD. Unlike HD, sales staff are generally inexperienced and have severely limited product knowledge. Most are young people who are probably paid minimum wage and for whom this is an entry-level job.

I intend to drive the extra 30 miles or so to shop at Home Depot if I need any large-ticket items (a lawn tractor, snow thrower, etc), and when I need technical assistance. Menards is the Wal-Mart of home remodeling and hardware stores--but without the great prices.

Due to my medical issues I can NOT wear a mask, I went in got the few items I went after, and was HARASSED all the way to the check out, then they refused to check me out. I told Tim I didn't have to explain my medical condition to him or anyone else that worked there, I did video tape the whole time I was in the store, and Tim kept telling me it's private property and I have to wear a mask! The mall cop ended up calling the REAL police on me to remove me from the store, I was at 5 other stores that same day and no issues with not wearing a mask. Menards has lost my business!
I hope my video plays so everyone can see it! If it don't open here go to my Facebook, I made the video public so EVERYONE can see how I was treated!

I had to fight them to honor their own "price match" guarantee, an after almost 2 hours in the store bickering back and forth with the manager, they gave me In-store Credit, because giving me the difference would have put them "below their cost" on the item. Well then don't have a friggin price match policy if your not willing to honor it in certain scenarios. Also I tried buying an item online. Worst experience ever. They almost sold me an item, under the premise of it being available in the store for pickup. Luckily I had the good sense to call the store to verify first-and it's out of stock. No customer service phone number to call corporately. I am not emailing or writing them a fax or letter. Shame on this company for not having a way to resolve problems immediately. They will not be in business long if they don't make MAJOR changes!!!

WOW the worst customer service EVER. I went into store and THEY special order me some handrail. Over a week later it shows up, I bring it home (35 miles away) open the wrapping wrong material Call them the next day they reorder. Over a week later go to get it, its wrong again. They tried to make me bring in handrail to return desk and fill out paperwork "NO THIS IS YOUR SCREW-UP NOT MINE " I asked to see GM 3 times and finally after 4 times here shows up MR Slow as a Snail, spent over a hour, The lazy GM came and said " Yup wrong material" we had that figured out Einstein. Had to reorder again. I wrote a email, I thought to District manager but I get phone from store GM about my email. He said I told you I was sorry several time. This is way past sorry, sorry is one time. Second time is "what can we do to make everything right for you" ? Well 280 miles from the first trip I finally get the right material. They don't give a crap about you. Had a problem at Home Depot one time they said "Can we help with some other material for your troubles I said sure you can give me some oak threshold and they said go get what you need and bring back here. Well they give me 3- 8' pieces for my trouble.

First off service is nice ppl managment at chillicothe menards has me ferious went n to give my fiance a gift real fast and she was yelled at for no reason her line was empty and ther was no pda or anything going onnso was un called for when he called her over he shood me away im a paying customer my mom is to and has spent thousands ther and also the company i work ther i had start going ther i told them about it and now menards in chillicothe is gonna end up losing ther account with them if something isnt done about this it was disrespectful and un called for gonna get ahold of my uncle as well tmand let him kno the stoy as well aka a construction company owner big account im sure they dont wanna lose its pretty bad how the cashiers are told to smile and b nice when treated like crap yet the managment can treat the guest and costomers like crap hope menards contacts me back on this like the store but wow things are messed up i dont like how cashiers have to have backs turned to the costomers ther are bad ppl out ther that can take advantage of that situation and ppl can b hurt possible killed from a stupid set up and have no real security to protect them n thos cases

Really wish I would of read these reviews before spending $5000 on new carpet for my entire house. The carpet has been installed twice now at my expense and even after the second installation the carpet is from two dye lots and you can see a huge seam in the middle of my living room. Sent a letter to corporate but have little faith they will take care of this... I will be sure to update my rating if they take care of the situation..

They provided store credit for the mistake and I wasn't out of pocket for the mistake.

This is the absolute WORST company in the world. We have placed an order, they got paid, when we recieved the merchandise it was all broken. It was taken off the shelves a shipping label placed upon it and sent thru FedEx.NO BOX. Upon receiving said merchandise the guts were missing, the items broken. Who ships like that? The only point of contact is by email. 3 times and still the merchandise is broken, yet they got paid. When you call the corporate office all you get told is, I'm only an answering service. Almost a month later, still have broken items. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MENARDS. They don't even deserve the one star rating.

i have been buying from this Menard's in Warsaw IN at lest 3 times a week . The workers will walk buy you or be talking to other workers and totally ignored the customers for help or they go in the back and hide when the store get busy then after this 19 is about over some Einstein came up with the idea lets make everybody wear a mask and there rude and won't let you in the store unless you get permission from the front desk thats being prejudiced on some can go in .was there to pick up a order and did a print on a 45 x 62 pole building that was $23,000. that Menard's will never see that money or any more of my money ever again went to Lowe's and walked in not a problem so who ever made this decision for Menard's severely hurt the companies

Very lousy customer service. Ordered blinds of of their website. Had the measurements correct when I started the process. Recieved the blinds to find they are 2 inches to big. Come to find out the website changed the size and Menards is unwilling to admit their mistake, because we all know that websites are 100% fool proof and have no glitches. As a result I am stuck with blinds that will not work for my windows and Menards has lost all of my future business. I hope my $200 is worth losing all the rest of the money I would have spent there.

I'd like to share my most recent negative experience which is what prompted me to post this negative review. Yesterday I used two rebate checks in the amount of $12. My balance after the $12 was $17, which I paid in cash. Today I needed to return one item that cost $5. I was told they could only offer me the refund as a store credit because I used my rebate checks to make the purchase. Duh, that's what they're for! Had I only purchased product(s) that totaled $12, I could understand receiving a store credit, but that's not the case. It's almost like they are stealing from me! I am being forced to buy something from them when the $5 refund should have been given back to me in cash to do with whatever I please! I complained to the store manager which got me nowhere. All I was told is that's how the computer is set up, it's store policy. As others have mentioned it's useless to try to contact corporate. Whoever answers the phone connects you with customer services which is a recording telling you to write or fax your complaints to them. Or, you can talk with the store manager which won't get you anywhere. It's for sure I will consider going to Home Depot more now, or make one purchase for the amount of the rebate check, and another for anything above the amount of the rebate check. What a bunch of BS!

You clowns at corporate need to learn that your building in West Bend is the most poorly run operation I've ever seen in my life. Every single time I go there I'm always left disappointed and furious with incompetent staff. To be more specific the last time I was there they took my $35 and said they'd order me some patio pavers. Two weeks later I go in saying what the hell? Turns out they never were ordered and they never will be ordered. Curious they were sure Keen to take my money even though they were never going to get these pavers in stock. Clearly the West Bend location is a product of a culture that lacks accountability. The losers who work there are trained by the losers who train them.

Jeffersonville Indiana Menards.....ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! We had a kitchen designed and purchased dropping a considerable amount of money into this store for custom cabinets. Come to find out our kitchen designer gave us the shaft. She never stated the requested custom range hood was not included in the design thus she did not leave space in the design to order stock, the corner garage cabinet is not the appropriate size to place the crown molding thus the door of the cabinet wont open if its installed, and we never received our toe kicks. To top it all....we were told its our fault we signed off on the design, but they would gladly restock for a $3000.00 restocking fee!!!!! WE DON'T DESIGN KITCHENS.....I guess assuming the kitchen designer knowing WTH she was doing is our fault. So we are stuck because every manager or department supervisor in the store believes its time to dump more money for errors made by their employees. I dumped enough money there.....They will NEVER get our business again.

If I could give this store 0 stars I would, but it isn't an option on Google. Where to start? We ordered a relatively large order of Special Order doors on-line via the website in St. Joseph, MO, over $1,000 worth. A few days after placing the order, we received an automated reply from the store tating our order was ready for pick up. Approximately 1 week had passed before we could get to the location to pick up our order (we are out of towners and it is approximately 1 hour drive for us) and once we had arranged to borrow a relative's truck and trailer we headed on our journey to pick up our doors. We finally get there and head to the back of the store where we met several guys in Menards uniforms that we provided our receipt to. We knew after just a few moments something was wrong, as they could find only a couple of items from our order and several employees were sent off to try and figure out where the doors had been placed. We waited every single bit of 2 HOURS for the employees, Manager, Assistant Manager to try and track down the order and all of them were scratching their heads as to why they could only find a few items from the order.After searching, they found 1 of the 13 doors in the clearance section with our name on it and the item had been damaged. They claimed they had no idea of the damage, and had never been notified of the issue by the employee who had pulled it from the truck. I was disgusted. Evidently training their employees, is not a top priority in this store or the employee who pulled the item from the truck would have realized that they 1) Should have Re-ordered the door, 2) Notified the customer of the damage to make sure they wouldn't waste a trip until the new shipment was in. Then, after 2 hours of searching and only being able to find 6 doors (1 of which was damaged) they try to tell us that WE PICKED UP our doors before we had even received the notice they were ready for pick up. When they pulled our receipt, they saw that five of our doors from our order had been scanned out and sold to another customer who had picked up previously in the week, and not a single employee could explain to us how or why that would have ever been allowed!! I was outraged! Between damaging part of the order with no notification, accusing of us of picking up part of our order, then watching security cameras and realizing some jerk of an employee sold our doors to another customer for whatever reason. Once again, with no notification to us!! This was a major BOTCHED job by Menard's in so many ways. I have never been a huge Home Depot fan which is why we have been venturing out and driving to Menard's but after today, Menard's ranked bottom of the totem pole in my book. After hourse of wasted time, and disapointment, all they could offer was to re-order the doors and deliver them to our address for free. NEWS FLASH: We wasted an entire day driving to your store, patiently waiting for you to find our order, and then driving back to Overland Park with no doors, wasted a tank of gas and day off of work for you not to correct the issue or offer a discount off the order because apparently, they cannot "compensate" for their mistakes even though they were very clear that it was absolutely their error and it was a big mistake. This store needs to get it together!! We will not be shopping at Menard's in the future. I believe in Big Business that care about the consumer. I do not expect for a company to never make mistakes but a lot can be said about a business that is willing to right their wrongs and do right by the consumer to keep them as a customer. This store, along with it's employees who have clearly had no training, do not care about the customer and when the ball is dropped BIG TIME and they are fully aware of their mistakes, they do not do what it takes to make things right with customers who are loyal to their store. With that sort of mentality, this store/company will never survive.

WARNING!!!! Don't EVER buy the repair warranty from MENARDS!! As the Extended Protection Plan Rep stated, "Due to a MENARDS SYSTEM ERROR of entering 2 Dryers," when I purchased a Washer and a Dryer set, they are not honoring the 4 year repair warranty I purchased in 2012 and my Washer is completely non working. I have spent 2 days now on the telephone with uneducated and rude managers as well as 4 calls to the Extended Protection Plans for Major Appliances Reps who left me on hold and suddenly we mysteriously get disconnected. I was disconnected a total of 3 times out of 4 calls. They asked for my receipt but those were stolen along with a file cabinet during a robbery. I attempted to contact corporate via email several times with my receipt number given to me by the Rep to obtain a copy of my receipt and the only answer I receive is, "We don't have access to your credit card information." I never mentioned anything about a credit card since I paid cash. I was told Corporate would have a copy of the receipt by the Rep. How are all these companies getting away with robbing everyone? CONSUMERS BEWARE OF YOUR PURCHASE AND COVERAGES

No apology or how can I help you. Called corporate they told me to write a letter from a automated voice. What is this 1950. This is a lazy non responsive company.

On October 10, we shopped at the Menard's Alexis R...

On October 10, we shopped at the Menard's Alexis Rd., Toledo, OH Store, placing a Special Order of Mohawk Castillian Gray, SANDALO Ceramic Floor Tile. All this for a shower and bathroom floor update. When ordered on 10/10, in a few weeks our order was delivered to Toledo. We were then called to pick up, and on arrival found the order in complete disarray in various places around the store. Menards virtually could not give us the order that day. After a few days, we again were called for pickup. Once there, we found multiple problems with the order. The count was off along with many broken tile. The broken tile was replaced, but at another few weeks delay. We ordered 12x12 for the shower, decorative trim, the 2" shower pieces for the shower floor along with bullnose for the trim. With each described here, there were either count errors, broken pieces, and in the case of the bullnose, a completely incorrect pattern.

Suppliers along with employees pulling ordered to be delivered to Menards seem to be a major problem. Menards representatives are left to try and ease the issues. Finally yesterday, Dec. 1. We received notice that our final needs were in. On arrival and unbelievably, the Menards employee could not find the order............Throughout these many days and issues, we were working to be understanding of the complexities involved in a special order. Today, Dec 2 we received a phone message stating that the bullnose tile was sitting "right here on the department desk." The department representative that searched yesterday was thorough, and if it had been "right here on the department desk," we would have both known.

All this delay and combined reorder created problems for our contractor and his busy schedule. Our original plan was to be completed by the end of October. This obviously has been foiled by problem after problem. With today's delivery, Dec 2, we will hope to.have the project completed within 5-6 days. That's 53 days now since our first order on Oct. 10.

Bottom line, if shopping at Menards for tile, we recommend that you do not place special order at Menards. If a desired product is on the shelve/in stock, and if enough to complete your order, go ahead. If you are shopping for anything that needs to be shipped to the store, we advise folks to purchase from a tile specialty shop.

Do we like our tile.......yes!
Are we enjoying it as you'd expect.........No! The path and frustration to get to today has created a scar, family plan altered and contractor problems.

We are hesitant to return to Menards for specialty needs.

Overall I would give Menard a 4 or 5. Their product offering and store personnel are very good. They handle in-store returns very well.
Their big problem is with their subsidiary product manufacturer: Mid West Manufacturing (MWM).
If you have a problem with MWM products, you contact Guest Relations, who should be named Customer Claim Denial Department.
If you think I'm being harsh, go to the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau page. The BBB has rated Midwest Mfg. "F". Read the customer complaints to get an idea of their 'quality' and poor warranty service.
Menards is OK, but they keep this subsidiary at an arm's length, denying responsibility for shoddy product, and sending you to their "supplier" MWM.
Before you buy a home improvement product at Menards, check the manufacturer. If it is Midwest Manufacturing, run to Home Depot or Lowes and get a name brand version. A higher cost will save you money in this case.
This is my basis for a 2 Star. MWM got a 1 only because 'zero' isn't available as a choice.
