Lenovo has been a considerable waste of time and money. System I ordered was supposed to be backordered 4 weeks and when I checked into the order status after 4 weeks, the ship date was 4 months out from the order date. After a couple calls to them they did get the system built and shipped to me within a couple more weeks.

Could not install Windows 7 64-bit on the system because of a missing device driver. Called their support, they couldn't help and sent the call to a hardware support group at IBM. The hardware guy couldn't help me, apologized profusely, spent about 10 minutes trying to find the manufacturer of the DVD drive until I just let him off the hook and said I'd look. Finally was able to install the non-SP1 version of Windows 7 but less than half the device drivers on the driver disc included with the machine would install. I imagine that the drivers do exist because they do sell pre-loaded systems, but I'm wondering now if this h/w is different than the pre-loaded ones. Regardless, after 6 hours of dealing with this system I'm cutting my losses and returning it. Oh yeah, there's a 15% restocking fee. Ditto the previous review - just not going to deal with Lenovo again.

Absolutely horrible warranty service. Defective laptop didn t even work for two months. Wont even boot up. Then said they don t replace devices but will fix it at no cost... I guess they re idea of fixing it is giving us the run around. They would email a time the technician is supposed to come and then the tech would never show up. Then they sent an email with a new time... same thing. This is thee absolute worst experience. DO NOT BUY LENOVO! EVER!

I wouldn't know anything about their products because it was impossible to order from Lenovo. Short story is Lenovo's customer service won't do anything to help you. Long story, I tried to purchase a laptop, and they cancelled the order because my shipping address was different from my billing address. It was especially difficult because I was moving and on a time limit. They did not refund me for the cancelled order until 4 days later, despite their customer service telling me to give the refund 24 hours every day I reached out to them. This order was scheduled to be delivered in one week. When I placed my second order, their website gave me a delivery date of two weeks AFTER the order was confirmed. This didn't work for me since I was moving. I tried to change the shipping address the day after the second order was placed. Their customer service told me they could not change the address at this point in the order, even though their website said the it hadn't been fully processed. I cancelled the order at this point. Lenovo was the worst company I ever tried to purchase something from.

I have never tried so hard to give a company $3500
Nor have I ever had such a poor customer service experience.
I could state facts that would make Lenovo look absolutely horrible. But I am too tired to type it all out.
I'll just say I have spent 4 hours trying to get people to help me. And today was the last I could spend my time trying to spend money with this company. Even when I did speak to people, it was the worst service I have had in my life.

Extremely bad customer service. No wonder why they blocked the review section on their website!!! Bought a laptop 7 months ago and it never worked properly. After 3 repairs, 11 weeks in repairs, more than 15 calls (long wait time), Lenovo does not want to replace it as per the law. I was finally transferred to the escalation service, it took 4 working days to get a callback. The case manager asked me to reply to an email he sent me with the detailed history. 5 days after, I called back agent and he said he never received both of my emails (initial email + a reminder after 3 days) and that he will investigate the email issue and call me back in 15 fifteen minutes. He never called back and don t answer my phone calls, so I left a message. He never called me back. After 3 weeks in escalation, I sent a letter of formal notice to the head office and they refused it.

Have several of the ThinkCentre Tiny in one's with the M73 w/i5 processor....FANTASTIC piece of equipment!! The quality is far superior to the competition and performance is great. During the research and purchasing process the tech support and responsiveness of the sales staff has been a pleasant surprise. Lenovo has certainly been a 5+ rated company.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.
STAY AWAY!!!
I recently ordered a thinkpad for work which was supposed to arrive on Friday and from the order information my order hasn t even been processed !!!

I contacted customer service through there online chat and no one could tell me anything !

The first person told me they were back ordered, and it would be weeks before I got it.
The second person told me that s I would be shipped on the 8th and I asked if I could next day ship it. And said he would put the request. Sure enough it did not ship today.

I contacted them once more today and the person told me that there was an issue with my order and they would ship it today afternoon. I then asked if it was possible to next day air ship it, as I told him I would pay for the shipping expenses, he then informed me Lenovo does not have such an option. It is now 6:30pm (pacific time) and my laptop has not been shipped and my order has not even been processed.

Such a disappointment, how such and expensive laptop manufacturer has such poor customer service.

Funny the only good comment was from a Lenovo employee :(

I shall be registering a poor review shortly of my own if Lenovo does not properly repair my E540 instead of shotgunning it. Very poor troubleshooting technique. They do not know what they are doing so far. We shall see. I will keep you updated :)

Horrible customer service. I purchased an Idea Pad in February 2018. So far, it has had 2 issues that required warranty replacement or repair. For the most recent issue (screen going black during use), the laptop was sent to the Lenovo depot on 11/21/18 fr repair. As of 12/30, I have not received it back and continue to get no information from Lenovo. Despite escalations and promises of a repair, nothing has happened and they still have my machine. This is an absolutely horrible company. No one takes accountability for getting things done. Their offshore customer service is only trained to read things on the screen; no independent thinking or empowerment to assist customers. Stay away from them and their products: they are the absolute worst.

**BUYER BEWARE**Lenovo Computers - I tried to order a laptop computer for work from Lenovo over 2 weeks ago. When I made my order the "ships by" date said "within 9 days". I thought this was reasonable, so I ordered the machine. A few days went by, and I checked my order status online - to find a shipping day of January 24th 2012!!! I contacted Lenovo via chat on their website which was beyond useless, so I called in. Neither the chat support operator, nor the phone operator (Jeeva Jyothi Victor) were any help at all. They were good for telling me that everything would be ok, and my computer would ship within a week. One week went by, and still no response from Jeeva or anyone else @Lenovo... So I then emailed the CSR (Jeeva) repeatedly asking for a status update with no response. When I finally called in, again - Jeeva apologized for not returning any of my emails and informed me I would not be receiving my computer EVER, but not to worry because they shipped me the mouse and sleeve accessories for the computer they were not going to provide. After a half hour argument, they agreed to refund all my money and re-route the computer accessories to their warehouse....GUESS WHAT MY OFFICE JUST RECEIVED..... The computer sleeve and mouse....this has been the worst customer experience of my life and I wish Lenovo nothing but the worst!

I bought an IdeaCentre AIO 5i (27 ) computer in late November 2020 and experienced it locking up with a black screen numerous times within the first week. January 22nd, it DIED! Purchased the Premium Coverage and now being told that it will take months to fix due to no parts being available. This computer is brand new and obviously a bad build. The technician took the entire computer apart and could not find the issue. Lenovo should just replace the whole computer, but no, they will make a customer wait months to fix a faulty new computer. Major buyers remorse. Still have not heard back a week later since Lenovo escalated it! Buyer beware! Filed complaint with Better Business Bureau and still no response. Lenovo does not care about their customers! BTW.. The 5 star review heading this is from 2 years ago! This company is in trouble.

Never buy a Lenovo! Terrible customer service!! ...

Never buy a Lenovo! Terrible customer service!! I can't express this enough. My $2,300 laptop totally melted down after only 10 months. It cost me $98.84 to ship it back to them on Sep 14, and they've had it now since 9:30 a.m. Sep 20. They don't have the three parts needed to fix it. My case was "escalated" to a mysterious department in North Carolina, called Customer Relations. You can't get in touch with these people--no email, no phone number--and in the meantime, I've been without a PC for a full month now. I call the technical support office daily, and they claim they don't have a phone number. They promise to call me every time, yet they do *not*. I wish I'd never heard of Lenovo! Never buy this brand!!

I am Hardik Mehta, Esq. from India. To begin with ...

I am Hardik Mehta, Esq. from India. To begin with I had purchased a desktop worth Rs. 75,000/- bearing serial No. S100FRA8 and Model No. F0AU00F6IN. The Invoice date is 14.12.2015, but the machine got installed on 16.12.2015, Wednesday at about 17:15 hours. This can be reflected in the manufacturer's system, since the used has to register the machine with "Lenovo" . The machine broke down on 24.12.2015, Thursday. There are 7 days of time (excluding Sunday) for the machine to function at my end. As per Lenovo's so called consumer friendly proposal, if the machine breaks down within 7 days (definition is subjective in favor of the company other in favor of the consumer), the whole machine shall be replaced. To my shock and surprise the engineer was sent on 28.12.2015 with the replacement LCD without any proof that the same is new. The servicenter personnel named Binita rather than understanding the gravity of the matter, insisted to replace the LCD and otherwise, nothing can be offered by the company. To no other option, I had to go ahead with the replacement, but that replacement did not solve the problem and nobody took notice / care of the same until I used Twitter as a medium to communicate.

Now, the company is ademant not to give replacement and it is with disgrace I have to state that the engineer is saying that he has to visit the site once again to check which part is required. It is undisputed that the engineer had replaced the LCD on Monday the 28/12/2015 and he checked all the parts in my presence and told me that "the card, if replaced may solve the problem but that is on trial and error basis". Since I have been facing this problem since 24.12.2015, and with little support of "Lenovo" I am again stuck with "beating around the bush" game, which is very unfortunate for so called "consumer friendly" relations of "Lenovo". I cannot hand over my machine again and again like a 'prostitute' to use on trial and error basis. The machine is hardly 7 days old. As per the purchase agreement, 3 years warranty is ensured by the manufacturer but unfortunately for reasons best known to them, the same is not extended / executed when it is called for / warranted.

I, therefore, call upon "Lenovo" to deliver a replacement computer at the earliest. I cannot wait for 15 'business days'. prompt reply / confirmation is appreciated, failing which appropriate legal / media canvasing shall be taken.

I purchased a Lenovo Yoga 910 computer 15 mths ago. Nothing but problems. Purchased it at Best Buy and have brought it to Geek Squad numerous times not to mention 800 telephone support from them. A few of the issues, I was unable to connect an external monitor (ASUS) via a mini port C USB to the computer without having jitter. After many trips to Geek Squad it was determined the connection at the mother board to the C port was loose and there was nothing more that could be done using the C port. As an alternative Geek Squad gave me a B port connection. I still have failures but not as many with the B port. For instance the wireless mouse works on and often, video intensity weak, not sure if the connection at the B port is also defective.

Lenovo support has a first line of defense (difficult to understand their English) that informs me you are 5 months out of warrantee and we can not help you. I have requested my issue be escalated but the call center merely handles perfunctory calls and disappointing to try and carry on a coherent discussion of the issues.

While I have read many reviews endorsing the product I also believe it is important for company selling a $1200 product to have a support network that will listen to customers issues regarding their products failures and offer alternatives for repairing, replacing etc. No more Lenovo's for me.

What an incredible experience! Never had I wasted so much time to end up with nothing but problems. I thought IBM was a trusted company with a reputable and reliable history, guess I was wrong. I have been dealing with over 15 different people in three different countries and still no functional computer. I will do my best to share my experience with the world. Hate it!

I purchased a Y40-80 from Lenovo at the end of las...

I purchased a Y40-80 from Lenovo at the end of last summer. For the whole year while under warranty the computer operated perfectly without a single problem. About two days after the warranty ended and the computer started crashing so much it was barely usable. Now you may think that I visited a bad website or something but I had only visited highly trusted websites like Google, YouTube, Facebook, etc. When I called Lenovo they said it was too bad for me as the warranty had expired just before these problem but they suggested I do a factory reset. I did this. At first it worked fine but a week later it crashed a bit her and there. I did various things to try and fix it.

Finally the crashing stopped after a few weeks, no thanks to Lenovo. By this time the computer battery (which was only just over a year old by this point) would not hold a charge. I practice very good battery protection by unplugging once it is charged. Rarely leaving plugged in overnight, not letting battery fall below 20% except for a few times during the final crashing days as the battery life was short and I was in class. After spending forever with Lenovo they told me which battery to buy, $76 USD ($102 CAD at the time).

As I'm a student and need a laptop for class I choose a faster shipping method then the 7 business days ground shipping as it was a Tuesday and could not arrive for two weeks that would mean. Little did I know but the shipping method I opted for was not offered to Canada. Lenovo decided to upgrade me to overnight shipped, at my expense of over $200 CAD. When I called the company and said I did not give permission for this they offered little help at first but two days later I got in contact with a supervisor. The supervisor said they could refund me the profit they made on shipping ($50 CAD). They were charging me a profit on the battery and shipping, shipping which I did not ask for. I do also want to point out that the "overnight shipping" I was charged for did not arrive till the Friday after I ordered it. Yes, it was overnight shipping, the representative I spoke to told me it was as well as the supervisor. Also the bill for the shipping arrived about 24 hours after I ordered the product so was not aware to the charge until well after.

When it arrived I went to a computer science major I live with who had proper tools. Not hard to remove a battery, just screws. Nope, the screws were low quality and some did not come out as when we tried to undo them they stripped. Had to take it to a computer shop and pay $35 for screws to be taken out, and that price was lower than what the place tried to charge me but I negotiated.

Lenovo customer support along this entire journey was highly unhelpful, inconsiderate, practiced extremely poor business practices, took advantage of me.

I have dealt with other tech companies customer service such as Apple, HP, Rogers, Monster, Sony, and always had good service. But this was the least helpful customer service I had dealt with so far in my life and they did not seem willing to help. I am deeply disappointed.

I for the last year have had a client using Lenovo products, and while I have always found their product sufficient I am never able to use their website to configure or order products from them. I have provided this feedback to them several times now, and showed them all of the different browsers I have tested and they just push me through a sales repo and a phone call to get my order taken care of.

Today while trying to call in to get a quote on a configuration I sat and listened to a guy talk to his neighbor about football and someone getting a 40 million dollar contract while I was trying to get his attention. When I finally shouted into the phone I was immediately transferred to a satisfaction survey.

Luckily I haven't had to use their support for anything, but I am ready to start changing the products the customer is using simply based off the fact that I can't ever see to get what I need from this company.

This is the worst product I ever purchased, I have had the pleasure of owning their Lenovo Flex 6 laptop for 3 months and used it 3 times to send a email and now it does not work.I called into their customer service department and they send a tech out, the tech was unable to fix the product, they sent me a USB to download to my device and it's still not working so I called in again and they made reset this device and it still does not work.I have been trying to resolve the issue for about a month and all they keep doing is giving me the run around please as a consumer stay away from their product it's not worth the time and aggravation.

Horrible warranty support. Absolutely the worst. ...

Horrible warranty support. Absolutely the worst. One star is too much for this review.

I purchased a 2 in 1 laptop (Flex5) back in November 2017. 4 months into ownership (March 2018) the touchscreen intermittently stops responding to touch. Becomes more frequent as time goes on. Stops responding completely soon after.

3 months of "remote support" failed to fix it. 3 months of waiting for the "needed parts" to become available for a screen replacement ending with no availability. I was offered a replacement unit, but because of "limited availability"

I had to agree (and did so) to a replacement with a smaller hard drive. 3 weeks now waiting for my replacement unit. I now (Nov 2018) have a 2 in 1 laptop that has absolutely no touchscreen functions at all. 8 months of getting pushed around and blown off from one department to another.

Purchasing a Lenovo means....

You will get 4 months of normal use out of their product. Then, you will have 3 months of phone calls and chat sessions in an attempt to resolve a problem with their product. Then you will have 3 months of waiting on parts to repair their product with absolutely NO CONTACT from the warranty team unless you call them and get shuffled through 3 departments. Then 2 months of waiting on the Product Fairy to send you your replacement just to be disappointed when the you realize you purchased from the wrong company.

In the mean time>>> Customer service is useless. You get shuffled around from one person to another reading a script who is unable to provide a simple answer. I have not yet spoken with a representative who is not obviously reading a script.

Lenovo DOES NOT stand behind their product. They simply push you around until you give up.

Next time you feel like purchasing a Lenovo product, do yourself a favor: Throw your money into the garbage and stick a fork in your eye.

Order a laptop on 7/26/2017. Received an email on 8/3/2017 saying the laptop I ordered was no longer available and offered me a replacement which was a downgrade from what I ordered. When I called customer service to see if they would replace it with one comparable to the one I ordered ( the only difference was the color) the customer service representative placed me on hold to consult with Simon Jaimes who sent the email offering the down grade.

The response from Simon Jaimes was ( in a nut shell) that what was offered was the only option. Take it or cancel the order. I cancelled the order. Based on what I've read I'm glad I did. Now I have to worry about getting my money back. When I placed the order they said they weren't going to debt my account until item shipped. If they had followed their policy my account would still be in the positive and all they would had to do was inform me the item I ordered was no longer available and to make another selection

In away it was a blesseding in disguise.

8/11/2017

Cancelled my order on 8/4 via email. 8/7 emailed again and called to make sure order was cancelled. Spoke to customer service representative and he confirmed cancellation but said there may be a possibility it would ship because they were able to fulfill my order but I did get the package to call for shipping label for FULL refund. Surprisingly I was refunded my full amount on 8/8.

I did get the laptop on 8/9 but wasn't here to sign for it so I recieved it on 8/10. I immediately call for shipping label and shipped in out on 8/11 and due to arrive at the Morrisville NC location on 8/15.
They charged my account again!!!!!! I'm going on there Facebook page and blast them out. If I don't have my account credited a full refund by Monday I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau! This is ridiculous! I don't care how good their laptops are their customer service and bad reviews will do them in! However, in all fairness the customer service representatives I spoke to were very nice and professional, no attitude.
Hate to be so long winded but it I'm going through this what kind of service would I get if need tech support or a repair? I'm glad there were some great out comes and you're happy with you purchase. As for me, NO THANKS!

Called tech support got actual instructions on how to troubleshoot when it didn't work I called back. I was very clear I didn't expect anything from them because my product was outside of the warranty but I needed to know what else it could be. I was dismissed and given the "sorry for the inconvience". But aside from that the man I talked to was reluctant to tell me anything. Btw it was just an update. Im pretty sure if I pay 1600 for your product the least you can do is include tech support.

Lenovo Ideapad 350 - High Tech?

Lenovo Ideapad 350 - High Tech?
---
1 - Very slow to boot up.

2- Power cord and USB's on the left side of unit, so mouse cord has to run around the back of the laptop to use for right-handed people (79% of people in world are right-handed).

3 - Screen not "true" colors.

4 - No way to turn off annoying touchpad.

5 - No way to find curser arrows while typing - they are not separated from main keyboard like some keyboards, and do not have a finger "bump" to find, You have to actually halt typing and look down to find curser arrows.

Not high tech.

I sent my laptop in for repairs. Everyone I talked to were very nice. They received the computer and reported back by email that they got it. The email said they would notify me with a tracking number when the computer was sent back. This was May 29th.
On May 31st, Fedex calls me saying that they were having trouble delivering my package. It turns out that they sent it to an old address. I had told the rep my new address before sending in the computer. He assured me that by him updating my account, it would be sent to my new address. WRONG! Now Fedex needed authorization from Lenovo to forward it to my new address as Fedex was going to charge them extra to forward it. They tried to contact Lenovo for this authorization. On June 2nd, I contacted Fedex to find out they had not heard from Lenovo yet, so I contacted Lenovo. The service center is in the Philippines and they can only send emails to the shipping/service center. They assured me that they would. On June 4th, I rechecked Fedex to find that the computer was still in their location waiting for a contact from Lenovo, so I called Lenovo again. They said all they could do was send another email. They assured me that I would have my computer in 48 hours. WRONG. The next day, the status with FedEx was the same. I got the same info from the service center. I was told not to worry that I would get my computer. The next day, Fedex reported to me that all they could do was send the package back to the shipper. The service center said all they could do was send another email! The people at the service center are all very nice, BUT they can't do anything! I don't know when I will get my computer. I requested that I be compensated for this snafu, I will be surprised if I every get any. Hopefully I will have my computer within a few weeks if ever!

I hate to make negative reviews, but my experience with lenovo has been frankly quite bad. I bought the y_40_70 and got it at the end of December and its battery stopped working at the end of February (only 2 months later). They thought it was the charger and then it wasn't and I had to send it in. I got it back at the end of March. A week later the computer sound system stopped working and it sounded like there was a tapping noise. They made me reset the computer to its initial state (erasing all my programs I was using). Since I have the best warranty plan, first they said a technician would call me back, but never did. Then they said they would send one to my house; he never came. I went home for summer (do not live in the US) sent it for repair and they said that there was a problem in the motherboard, probably from when I had sent it before to repair. They said they could not fix it until I got to the US.9 months later, I wish I could say I am finally writing this comment with the lenovo computer I bought, but instead I'm doing so with one that is 8 years old...

Hi,

Hi,

I am writing to comment about the service of lenovo laptop in the Megalink Systems shop at 170 Upper Bukit Timah Road, #05-06/07, Singapore 588179.

The service was terrible. I took my lunch at Bukit Timah then went to the shop to service my lenovo laptop. Accidentally spilled my drink and it stained my shirt a little.

A woman in the shop claimed to be the boss of the company, saw that I was wearing a shirt with some stains, told me that the shop cannot help me in servicing my lenovo laptop. I have not even told her the problems with my lenovo laptop. I was intending to try to service my laptop and if it still does not work, I was hoping to get a new top-notch lenovo laptop.

Worst service ever in Singapore. I found out from one of the staff in the shop that the lady was the wife of the boss. I have written a comment on Google with regards to this poor and unacceptable service. I have been patronising lenovo since it started and before this, I was using IBM laptops. This time, it was a great disappointment for me. I have advised my organisation to review our company's purchase of lenovo laptops and tablets for the following years to come. We may not continue to use lenovo again as the customer service is very poor.

I do not recommend anyone to purchase lenovo products!

Desktop less than three months old company one year warranty only covers hardware. I was told I needed to purchase software warranty. I RECEIVE message "RECOVERY your PC needs to be repaired. ERROR CODE 0xc0000185 use recovery tools". Don't purchase this brand. I made the mistake because it was on sale. I will stick to purchasing Toshiba products, it comes with a recovery software , and I never had to use it. This is not over I will get a replacement or repair.

(edit) They pushed the ship date out even further. They pushed it out so far that US trade law MADE them offer me a cancellation. This company is a damned mess!

Spent $1,700 on a high end computer, was told I would have it in three weeks. Now it's saying 2 months.... 2 MONTHS!!! Every time I try to call customer service I get the same canned responses, every time they tell me they'll look into my case the shipping date estimate magically gets pushed even further. This is $1,700 of credit just floating around in limbo while I sit here waiting for the machine I bought to make money with so I could pay the credit that I had to use to buy the damned thing!! This is madness!!! I promise this is the first of man many reviews I'm striking out to leave. What a con job this company is. My god.

I bought a LONOVO all in 1 desktop and have had issues with it picking up a wifi network. I was on the phone for 1.5 hrs and they said someone would call me to schedule a tech apt. When they called, they tried to keep me on the phone again. I told them I just needed a tech person to come out. They resisted. I gave them a choice, send a tech person or I am taking it back. Well, I'm taking it back!

Never again am I buying a Lonovo! This is what happens when customer service is not service!

Never order from Lenovo. I placed an order on September 17 for a desktop computer. They sent the computer but the options were wrong. They sent a second computer with the wrong options. Now it is October 21 and I find out they still have the wrong options. They offered a replacement but the prices have changed since September, now the desktop is three hundred dollars more. Lenovo has good products but they are not worth ordering from online.

Do not buy Lenovo products. They are obsolete before the warranty is over and they will not stand by their warranty. What good is a warranty, or a product, that can't be used before the warranty even expires. Lenovo is a waste of money.

I love the computer. I hate: Having to have a Lenovo account in addition to my Microsoft account. Too many accounts wanting too much personal info! I hate pop-up notifications and the Lenovo-vantage or whatever TF it's called. I hate not being able to verify updates to the BIOS as legitimate. I hate that Lenovo will pop up a message prompting me to find out about wireless security, and when I click on it, it sends me to some generalized website so if I want to find out about the topic, I have to browse the whole website (P.S., Lenovo: I don't. Lost opportunity for you). I hate the bloatware. I hate that I can't uninstall most of it, even stupid games like Candy Crush Saga. I hate the lack of customer service. I hate that my first Lenovo died within two months. I hate the license agreement that specifies I have to hang on to my "original receipt". REALLY??!? In fact, I hate the license agreement. Read it sometime. Ugh. I hate that Lenovo seems to think I bought the computer to be an advertising target for Lenovo, and not to actually use the machine. Grow up, computer manufacturers, it's not about you. It's about the usability of your product.

Try this. Call their customer service. Ask a question that requires more than the agent simply reading off what is available to them on a cue card. I made a recent purchase that required customer service. I called three times, one to simply check on status and request a quicker shipment at my cost. All three times I was hung up on. Don't believe me? Try it. Amazing that there is a company that operates this way in this day and age.
