Super friendly staff, great food with a good price.
A simple looking cafe but friendly service with good coffee. Worth a visit.
This is one of the best coffee shops in Sydney NSW.
The coffee is fantastic, service is excellent and the home baked sweets are absolutely divine.
Lunch: ok, let me think...I tried the whole menu and I still can't make up my mind, just because everything is fresh and delicious. Try Bobby's burger, it's a must and the chicken wrap just melts in your mouth! The menu variety is great and will please every taste.
If you are hungry or addicted to yummy food (and candlelight) you should definitely visit Bobby's cafe for dinner. The bruscetta and the garlic prawns are to die for. For the pasta lovers this is the right place.
The friendly staff will make you feel welcomed and special.
One of my favorite spots in Sydney
Came here with good reviews and twice I ve got so disappointed. Not only the food was lower than meh, the whole place are smokey that I have to sit outside. Owner has great service but I m sorry I was not impressed.
Ordered tea, banana bread and croissant to go. They forgot the tea and the banana bread was dry. When they finally made the tea it was overfilled and spilling everywhere, wife burnt herself and had to throw the tea away, Never returning.
Beautiful flat white 2 sugars; the temperature was perfect
Cheap, nice basic food and coffee, unfussy/prompt service...what else do I need?
Got there, and there was a table outside taken by 2 guys, and 2 tables inside taken by about 6 people. Not too busy. When I asked for glutten free bread option, the guy behind the counter was helpful to indicate that they had glutten free bread, which was great. We decided to stay for eggs Benedict, and a simple Bobby's egg omelette with a ginger and apple fresh juice. 15 minutes later the juice arrived we thought, ok, 15 mins for a drink. The rest must come soon. The table with the two guys got served, they are it and left. One of the tables inside had also finished and left. 3 or so take aways arrived and left. At nearly 30 mins mark, eggs Benedict arrived. No apologies, no excuses, just planted it on the table. My simple omelette was still missing. 5 minutes later I went inside and I asked for my omelette, all I got was..."it's coming now". I sat down and heard the eggs being beatten. Another 5 minutes later I got my omelette. No apologies, no excuses, they did not even brought out a glass of water!. It took about 45 minutes to get a simple beaten omelette with a piece of toast. I get that at times things can be forgotten. But there is such a thing as manners. Offer a fresh bottle of tap water at least. Approach the table and do as if you are cleaning the table and establish a chat and mention that's coming or something.... ANYTHING! But no. Nothing. You get 2 stars because the food was not great, but was not bad. The rest you get ZERO.
Waited one hour for a wrap and coffee, didn't try the wrap in the end because they left chicken out on the bench and would not wash their hands when handling food. Don't waste your time here.
Cozy and nice place to have coffee! Also open on Sundays
It s hard to not make a good breakfast. The Bobby s Brunch consists of two hard poached, cold eggs, a sad soggy piece of bread, a pile of bad smelling mushrooms, grilled wet tomatoes and half an avocado. I couldn t finish this. Do not get food here
Great coffee and good food. Makes me wanna move to this neighbourhood.
Great place with affordable prices and delicious homemade cookies. Ask Bobby for brownies and you never miss ;)
Excellent coffee and top customer service. Highly recommended.
Great ambience, comfortable chairs, fabulous fresh old fashioned "lemonade" with a touch of ginger; good burgers & salad - welcoming staff. Fabulous coffee. Lachlan was an excellent host.
Fast service from friendly staff. Well made coffee and very nice menu
Cheap, nice atmosphere on way to uni yummmm + coffee is great
Good coffee and uncomplicated brunch items like bacon and eggs, hash browns and croissants. Reasonably priced.
One of the ladies forgot to put hash browns in my order once so she chased me all the way down the road and then re-cooked my sandwich! She wouldn't stop apologising and was so lovely, even though I kept telling her it was fine!
Such lovely people and the food is the BEST on that street! Thanks guys!
great prices good food. Don't like tin plates easy to loose your toast slipey plates. Tin ok in the bush, lolo
Great crowd, nice staff, terrific home style cooking food =]
The best place to eat in Darlington served by Mr Bobby!
Small and busy brunch spot. More of a greasy spoon than a hipster joint but the green eggs and Bobby s brunch options were both very good. Ok coffee.
A charming yet relaxing and comfortable cafe conveniently located on Abercrombie Street approximately a 3 minute walk from Redfern station.
Rihanna Barbie and operator is always there to welcome his customers personally.
I have been going here for 5 years and it is my favourite Cafe by far. The food and atmosphere are both phenomenal and the people are always lovely. 10 out of 10. Looking forward to coming for the next 5 years.
Always a wonderful place to go. The food is nice and price is cheap with friendly stuff.
I ve walked past this cafe many times but finally decided to give it a whirl this morning. The queues for coffee exist for a reason because the place is awesome! Great coffee and a huge range of food items. The serving sizes are absolutely massive. There s a certain electricity in the place also as you get to observe the kitchen in full swing
Best Coffee in town,Friendliest staff, and meals that make your mouth water. 5*... and i mean it about the coffee.
I think the best thing is to wake up the mood of the day with a mellow latte at the corner of the coffee shop on a cold morning.
Strolling around the University of Sydney, holding a cup of coffee, just like going back to school, looking for stories that haven t been explored for years.
Thanks for this trip to meet bobby s cafe
Let the strangers have a warmth and fusion outside
Let you fall in love with the city of Sydney
It's hard to find a good coffee place so this place is worth the drive, they have great food, well priced and large portions, Bobby's wrap is super delicious also! Friendly staff also thanks Bobby!
Bobbys is a daily routine, we absolutely love his work and we love Jigs too (the other barrister). Bobby has really set up a family place, and he has truly become our friend. The Bobbys burgers are incredible, but why we keep going back is the coffee, absolutely to die for!!! I dont think i would get through Uni without a Bobby wake up
The guy that served us was an absolute delight. Super friendly, and he even remembered the order from one of our friends (not present with us) from that morning! There is outdoor seating, but inside there is not a lot of space. The coffee was really nice too! And if you wait for five minutes someone with a dog will walk past and you will get to pat them.
The food was good. Not my first time here, the place is very clearly understaffed, we had to wait for our food more than an hour. This is not the first time that happened to us.
The staff was working hard and under stress to get the orders done, the food is good. However the owners need to consider hiring more staff for such a busy place. Would not come here again anymore
Fantastic breakfast after Park Run. Great Coffee. Excellent value and wonderful staff.
Best cafe in Darlington. Owner super friendly and always greets you with a smile.
Great hot chocolate taste wonderful.
Food is always wonderful and portion sizes are fantastic for the price.
Great meeting place for the locals.
Great service, not busy, generous servings, barely made it through the big brickie!
Friendly service, simple but delicious brekky options and all amazingly affordable! :)
Had Bobby's Omelette with green tea latte. Food was great and cafe is well situated between redfern station and the university of Sydney. Cosy atmosphere.
Coffee good toasted ham cheese tomato sandwich cold not melted
This is one of the best cafes in Sydney. The coffee is fantastic, service is excellent and the feta and honey on turkish is great.
Very good coffee. Tried brunch many times, the big breakfast was really tasty, the bacon was crispy and the scrambled eggs were soft. (But sometimes they will have the new employee to cook, and they might be very bad at cooking actually). And there are many flies inside the cafe during summer time, so it'll be a bit annoying if we sit indoors. But generally speaking, it's a nice place to enjoy your brunch and coffee with friends.
The service s awesome here, and always clean food & coffee, love it.
A charming Cafe with great coffee brilliant food and an excellent environment owner operated by Bobby hence the name Bobby's Cafe.
Located conveniently in Darlington just 4 minute walk from Redfern station Bobby's cafe becomes a must for meeting with friends and for business meeting where Bobby and his friendly professional staff make an excellent team wear together everyone achieves more t e a m a great easterly aspect catching the morning sun a great way to greet any day by having that first coffee of the day at Bobby's Cafe.
But you'll be astonished at Bobby's ability to accommodate all his business Associates and customers so they cease to be just professional Associates and customers in fact they become Cafe friends of Bobby's cafe family.
Well done Bobby and team t e a m together everyone achieves more at Bobby's Cafe.
By the way you can tell that body certainly looks after his loyal following customers were now regarded as part of the Bobby's cafe family.
You will always be greeted with a smile as you walk in the front door to our wonderful aroma of freshly ground coffee brilliantly fresh delicious and healthy meals breakfast lunch 7 days a week 8 a.m. in the morning.
But these are my observations as that has been part of my role in life is to observe human behaviour and social interaction and this is certainly a place where a lot is happening and Satisfy the clients or rather the Bobby's cafe family.
Good eating and good coffee drinking to you all Poppy's Cafe photos to follow. Initial review by Google guide Duncan Wilkie.
I love good coffee and have tried lots of places but Bobby's is the best coffee in town - really. Prompt service, a friendly, unpretentious atmosphere and good food.
Friendly stuff, good coffee and great bacon egg rolls
Best coffee I've had in Sydney. Have to have it every morning!
A very nice environment. Perfect for a coffee and the owner seems happy for a friendly chat. Even open on a Sunday when not all coffee shops are
Hello Bobby,
I have enjoy your establishment which has thoroughly fulfilled my needs. The service was exquisite. In addition; the coffee did so bequench my needs- I highly commend the service of all evolved here. Ta!
Lovely homely cafe in Redfern. Great atmosphere, delicious menu, friendly staffs! Their burger is a must-try!!!!!!! Come grab coffee and sandwich on your way to work or uni! Then brunch on a chill weekend morning
This is the coffee bar where I have been most impressed by their quality of the coffee, I have been there many times, the Barista's skill is very good. the coffee especially latte is what I most recommended
The staff are fantastic and they are happy to alter anything youd like
Never wash mushrooms and fruits and service is rude
5 words: Improve on your matcha game! It is bitterly sweet (with no sugar added to the order) and tastes like a dissolved with milk matcha syrup.
On the bright sides I am always intrigues with you eggs and bacon options.
Great tasting burger and very friendly staff. I haven't tried the coffee yet but if it's good I'll be lifting my review to 5 stars.
Basically my morning regular. Good coffee, good service and friendly smiles everyday.
The coffee is good, a great place for an easy feed. Will come back again.
Great Mocha at an affordable price that you don't need to add sugar to make it great; as the cocoa powder and chocolate dust used here gives the Mocha just the right amount of sweetness that is not sickening sweet like other Sydney City cafes. A large Mocha is only $4.50 and that price is rare for a Cafe located within the City to have and Bobby's Cafe is only 280 meters from Redfern Station. I would recommend you to at least try Bobby's Cafe.
Chai latte on soy tasted just like warm soy milk. Mushrooms and avocado toast was $12 for just 1/4 of an avocado on a plate next to two pieces of toast with a pile of mushrooms.
Staff were friendly though.
Rarely do I go out for breakfast but when I do I always order eggs Benedict if it s on the menu. The eggs Benedict here certainly hit the spot along with a banana smoothie very satisfiying morning hoping to return again soon
Good food and really friendly staff always go out of my way to go to Bobby s
Two coffees and two brunch orders... all items came separately and, apart from the coffee, certainly weren t worth the wait. Still thinking about how average the food was days later.. AND we were overcharged by $4!
