After dealing with Roto-Rooters BS I decided to call Jon Wayne. I've been using them for years now and they are top notch. Their receptionists are always friendly and happy to help. Their specialists are extremely courteous and they always give us explanations in layman's terms. On top of all that, they also give us honest to God multiple options when it comes to fixing an issue. Highly recommend anyone using them. I even got their monthly membership which is super cheap.

The first thing that stands out is the level of communication from the first phone call to the technician diagnosing the issue. They were all willing to spend valuable time to make sure we were informed. So between the communication, timeliness of service, and tech knowledge, we are both pleasantly surprised and would highly recommend John Wayne to anyone.
John L. was respectful, courteous, and very professional. I couldn t ask for someone better to enter our home and educate us on what needed to be done. 5 starts for this gentleman who is an outstanding employee for this company! I wish there were more John s in the world. I can not say enough about him.
I needed a quote for a new water softener install. Mitch came out promptly on time and inspected water and electric. Feel like these guys are an honest and professional. I will do business with them.

I wish I could give zero stars. I tried to schedule service twice and they no showed both times after having me wait ALL day for them to show up. When I call customer service they do not even care that they have inconvenienced me for a full day. HORRIBLE! Never use them.

Service professional came to tell me about two WiFi/online available programmable thermostats that I had inquired about. Very professional and knowledgeable young man, but after discussing with my wife, we decided that either one would be too costly for what we wanted which was just to be able to monitor and adjust the temperature in our house. We will check around for other options, snd if we don t find anything as good that s less expensive, we will revisit the Jon Wayne options.
Had a small blip with HVAC. Called John Wayne for a check up/evaluation. They were able to send a tech same day. Arrived approx 6pm. Very knowledgeable, personable and demonstrated good experience/understanding as well as ability to convey/explain information when clarification was needed. Provided options as well as opportunities to reduce immediate costs while stabilizing/improving system. Was able to address/consider longer term concerns regarding system and how to retrofit placement, airflow, noise. Good communication and timely updates from office personnel. Interfaced well between technician and customer to keep the ball rolling.
AJ is a wonderful asset in his ability to partner with clients rather than simply provide service. Really appreciated the same day capability given concerns. Only caveat would be narrowing the window of potential arrival to a 3-4 hour time span, rather than an open schedule all day.
3 stars only based off cost of quote, serviceman was very professional and answered all my questions. For a new mobile home service hook up, they wanted $7000 just to trench 148'. That would of been $14000 as water and power each require their own trench. I declined their services.
Mr. Levi Moorhead went above and beyond the call of duty when it came to fixing my air conditioner. He put forth a great effort and time to fix my issues. The office provided advance notice of the technician's arrival to do servicing, The technician was friendly, very thorough with his servicing and was honest with his results. The only reason for a less than 5-star rating was that the technician did not show up for the first appointment and we had to make another appointment to do the servicing. However, the company compensated for the no-show by extending my service contract a year without additional charge.
This was a total replacement, of the HVAC system, which is not listed above.
Our system was 16 years old. We had a terrible week of frigid cold weather and our system just couldn t keep up. John Wayne s people came on Sunday and talk to us about possible repairs versus replacing the system. Lionel was very informative. We decided to replace the entire unit from top to bottom. The service technicians were able to schedule us the next day on Monday which was yesterday, February 22. We were very happy. They were very professional, friendly, and very fast at their craft.
During this time of COVID-19, all the men wore masks when they came in the house with exception of one technician. He came in the house without knocking, went to the thermostat, and then he turned around I said where is your mask? He said it s outside. I told him under circumstances if he was to come back in my house again, you must have a mascon. He agreed and apologized.
We would highly recommend Jon Wayne products and their service people who did a wonderful job.
Taking care of us and our unit for 8 years. Care for unit equals longevity. A must in general but even more critical q, when you have pets and all the dust in the air. Tech takes all precautions in this pandemic time. Tech was knowledgeable and explained every step of the process during routine maintenance.
I haven't used them yet, but plan to. Chris came out to go over what I wanted done, and he offered plenty of options that make sense. I now have a much better understanding of my energy needs, and look forward to using Jon Wayne to take care of them for me.
Jon Wayne company is absolutely hands down professional and highly experienced. Brian was our service technician, experienced and took the time to explain and answered all of my questions. He showed pictures of one of the issues we had and explained options for the solution. We are pleased and never felt pressured or talked into any repairs or service plans. I purchased a home with an AC unit that was installed by John Wayne. The installation according to my home inspector didn't meet code. I thought that was all..
After we moved in and ran the A/C, condensation drips down into the walls of our log home. For some reason this unit was installed upstairs when there already was a space for.it.downstairs. Now as we dig further I guess I'll find more issues. Hoping not.
The staff members that come out to do any service work are always polite and professional. Work is completed promptly and they never leave any mess. They always come in with booties on.

I was called and advised the repairman would be here soon. He arrived within the timeframe provided. He was courteous and professional. I was not impressed by his assessment of all outside lighting and his way overpriced estimate. He removed the balast in both kitchen lights and thus bypassed the balast concept. He installed new bulbs and it is much brighter in the kitchen. My only complaint is the bottom line price. I realize he is a licensed electrician but thought the price was excessive.
Called to get a diagnosis report to see what needed to be fixed with my ac unit. The unit was not blowing cold air. Chris came out to inspect the unit and give me a diagnosis. He said the unit was bent on the inside, leaking from being frozen, and the refrigerant was outdated. He said it would be over $3000 to fix here in San Antonio and recommended a new unit. I told him I needed him to email me the diagnosis for my warranty and he said he would get it done for me. Installers came the next day, installed the new unit, amazing people. I again called about the diagnosis and the lady said he was not there but she would let him know. I called for over a month and no reply from Chris. My warranty called him and he said he never diagnosed it and that I refused to get it fixed but insisted on a new unit. Disgusting how unprofessional Chris was, lying to my warranty because he refused to give a diagnosis. I think this guy just swindles people into buying new units. It s hard to trust this company now because of this guy. I hope no one falls for this trick the way I did.

A young man by the name of Abraham Rocha came to my house today on time as usual and very professional. I've been to John Wayne customer for close to twenty years now and use both the air conditioner and their Plumbing services, each time a technician shows up always in uniform always punctual and always professional I've been more than satisfied I've been extremely happy and would recommend John Wayne company to anyone. The service man was, as with all the techs we've met with John Wayne, neat, friendly, respectful and professional. He didn't quit until he had tested everything about our system, performed 3 repairs to include 2 new parts, and made recommendations for future potential needs without trying to push us to do that work now. He left asking only for initials and a signature due to us having the service plan. We always recommend John Wayne to family and friends. Their staff is second to none!

Had Jon Wayne came out and performed their $59 tune. Levi inspection of the system found some non expensive issues that will save us thousands down the road. No pressure to have the recommendation done to fix system had 4 choices and even offered financing plus warranty and to come out next summer to do tune up.
Edward was great! Even with all this COVID-19 nonsense going on, he was on time, professional, and friendly! He came in with his mask & gloves and shoe covers to protect himself and our home. He showed me where the problems were and what was needed to fix the problem. He let me take pictures of the issues and explained any questions that I had with easy to understand responses. I am so impressed with the customer service I receive with Jon Wayne! Normally when a company gives you a time frame, we are all expecting them to come out at the very last minute...not with this company! Each time they were here early on during that time frame. The techs are always so kind and explain the process of what is going on. Our home was not cooling properly and Jose S ((#1819))came to help us out this morning! I contacted the John Wayne A/C on a Friday for an install estimate and they were able to get out to my home 2 days later on Sunday. After a walk thru and check of my system it was nice to pick an A/C model and Install package right for my home. Financing was simple, easy and interest rate was low and so was the payments.The JW Sales guy was very professional, thorough and truly a real nice guy. As far as today, Sunday, my install is scheduled for Tuesday, just 2 days away, so more to follow. So far, I like the quality service and look forward to some trouble free years of service.

Scheduled A/C tune-up for my packaged unit system. Although they were not able to come out on the day scheduled they did reschedule for the next business day. Ruben the technician that arrived for service call was very courteous and professional. He completed service call in a timely manner and explained the service before and after completion. I'm happy with my install of my unit and the team that did it. My only feedback is on pricing. On their website they list the average install to be $5,595 and high to be $10K. That means my install was really high for the price paid. If I wasn't in a desperate situation I would recommend shopping around.

The tech was very nice and professional but if u go with this company, prepair to overspend.I had my AC go out and they quoted around 13,000.00 to replace both indoor and outdoor units. I found a great local AC company that did it for 6,000. 00. I had a friend whos motor went out in his AC. JW wanted 800.00 for the job, he replaced it for 75. Just another greedy corporate company that just wants your money.
I was so pleased with the Customer Service that AJ Santellana displayed when he introduced himself. He covered his shoes and put is mask on before he entered my home. He is such a polite young man. I have had Jon Wayne perform electrical installations at two homes and just upgraded the hvac system at one of the homes. The first contacts at the office are always great and pleasant to work with. All of the technicians I have worked with have been friendly, courteous and clean. Have never had a mess left behind. So far have had no issues with products or work performed and going on two years on the electrical. Will always call these guys back for service!
My wife was skeptical about having a service contract and I am so happy to say she admits she was wrong. We have had a great experience every time we have needed them and the savings from the monthly fee is great considering what they do. We are happy customers!

Jon Wayne A/C is fabulous from the very first call to the technician who came out. Very professional. Great products. Appointment scheduled in a timely fashion. Was notified by the office of each step. Office called ahead of time to notify me of the name and time of arrival for the tech. Matt arrived even a few minutes early. The technician himself was great - did a quick job of doing routine maintenance. However, I was frustrated by the fact that I received a call letting me know that the technician would arrive within 30-45 minutes and they did not arrive 75 minutes later. This system of calling the homeowner needs to be improved.
A couple days ago I had John Wayne come out for the annual inspection/tune up for my A/C and plumbing systems. Everything went well and the technician installed a U/V light system into my A/C to kill the microbial growth that he found inside of it.
Everything went so well that I initially wanted to give John Wayne a five star review. But unfortunately, the day after the service call I noticed that there was a softball sized stone left on my porch and that the security sign in front of my house had been broken. Baffled at how this could have happened, I reviewed my security camera footage and found that the John Wayne technician had picked up a stone in my back yard and laid it on my front porch. Minutes later, he broke my sign as he dragged his hose out of my house and into the yard. He saw that my sign was broken, and kicked the broken part aside without even having the courtesy to tell me what happened.
Both of my complaints are minor, but when I pay you $800+ for service I don't expect any shenanigans. If you're going to break my stuff and drop off stones on my front porch at least have the courtesy to let me know so I'm not wasting my time going through camera footage.
Our technician, Tom was extremely professional and courteous during his service call. He was very cognizant to wear a mask and footies upon entering our home. I highly recommend Jon Wayne as an HVAC service company.
James was awesome! Called for an AC tuneup and had water leaking all over the living room. He worked magic getting that resolved and the AC unit tuned up. As I had just purchased the home the year before I wasn't familiar with the system in the home. James gave me options for upgrades and things to make the system better. He gave several options and different price ranges based on repairs that needed to be done soon and others that could wait for a bit. No hard sales talk, no pressure. I will be calling Jon Wayne for all my heating/cooling and plumbing problems. Very impressed.

George Gutierrez was very professional. He explained in detail what he was going to do and what he thought my unit needed. I requested another appointment for a cleaning; George did a tuneup and added Freon. I used the pay ahead monthly plan so I could have a service call, tuneup already paid for and it really worked well for me. VERY difficult to simply schedule the initial visit. Then the 3 quotes they provided were between 100%- 300% higher than the 2 other companies we compared with for same service. Feels like going to the car dealer that finds things wrong and then charges more than everyone else.

I called Jon Wayne with an HVAC problem after relocating to the San Antonio area recently and seeing their TV commercials. I got a same day appointment and the technician showed up very promptly. The technician, Joseph Munera, was very friendly and knowledgeable and very soon had a diagnosis of my issue. He was very honest and had good information and shared his explanation with me openly. Although I didnt use them for the repair as the issue was a problem for the landlord to deal with I would highly recommend Jon Wayne for exceptional service. They arent the cheapest out there but in this business you get what you pay for. Cheaper isnt better. Thanks Jon Wayne and a special thanks to Joseph for great service!
