Twice I've had issues with my card where the machine took my money I called in customer service was great and in two weeks I had a check mailed out to me followed by an email expressing how sorry they were for the inconvenience caused .
Absolutely horrible company. I've lived in this apartment building for almost 6 years now dealing with coinamatic machines. They're never cleaned and it seems like they're never maintained. They're also very old machines. The washers always smell musty and mouldy. The machines regularly eat money off my card without actually starting a cycle. Once a month at least I have an issue with one of the machines. Today one of the washers decided to stop halfway through the cycle, so when I went to put my clothes in the drier, I found them sitting in a pool of water, absolutely drenched. I had to pay for another wash cycle. One of the driers in the laundry room has been broken for months.. it vents into the room, so if anyone uses it the whole room becomes full of steam and its nearly impossible to breathe. Coinamatic is a joke of a company and they should be shut down. Just look at all the other reviews.
The machine has eaten my money for the second time. On top of that, when customer service sent me a new card in the mail, it was not compatible with our buildings machines. Unbelievable!
These people should be disgusted every second they spend at work. I have never experienced such a sad excuse for customer service. Since May I have been calling for a refund, I was at first told I could expect an auto-refund to my online account in 3-5 business days. After that failed to appear, I called back and was told I need to submit a screenshot via email. So I did. After receiving no response for over a week I called back again, only to be told a cheque would be mailed with expedited shipping and I could expect it by today. Big surprise, no cheque. I called a FOURTH time, and was finally told BY AN EMPLOYEE the previous 'rep' had simply lied to me and never actually processed my refund!
I will never deal with this "company" again, and will instead have to spend my one day off a week at the laundromat simply so I have clothes to wear to work.
Since moving to an apartment 'serviced' by Coinamatic over four years ago I have never had a single positive experience with them and have only used their machines to maximize my time at home doing other chores as I work two jobs six days a week and really don't have a lot of time to do simple housework.
I can honestly say in the future, I will never consider living in another place with Coinamatic machines, no matter how far from work I have to drive to find one.
The machine has been down for months to put the money on your card I keep calling and calling and calling they keep saying oh we send someone to fix it but yet I go downstairs and next day and it's still out of order they don't care about the customers
Even though they changed the machines in our building 2 weeks ago, STILL problems...i keep checking the door lock button to make sure it's lit AND hold my hand on door to make sure properly closed...Error message after the load and my clothes completely drenched...customer service agent accused me of not closing door and that it's MY fault...won't refund me both washer and 3 dryers...asked to speak to manager and no one's answering...big surprise
Customer service straight up lies to you. I accidently loaded onto my card where my machine in my building doesn't let you put in a pin. They'll tell you it's no problem to refund... 6 calls in now, and being promised a refund yet again. Do not trust them!
This company is a joke! They STEAL MONEY I can't believe even after everyone 1 star review they still can't fix their main issue. STEALING MONEY! I have called multiple times to get machines fixed for coin eating and they say there is nothing wrong. No wonder everyone breaks their machines!
Awful experience. Have lost tons of money on these machines. Have called various times to no avail and poor "resolutions" that aren't sustainable. Really disappointed; don't waste your time with this company.
There are is not a single note about, how to keep the dispenser free of that dark jelly mold or gunk. It is around the walls of the dispenser where the detergent, bleach, softener and dark full of bacteria gunk go to my cloths supposed to be washed. NO one from maintenance to keep that gunk and mold out of the washer...
Joining the thousands of other renters who have the horrible misfortune of having Coinmatic machines in their building! On top of the expected things like machines constantly out of service, card errors, reload center not working, etc. but it gets worse, I promise.
- have been lied to twice by different customer service reps who told me that I could take my Coinmatic laundry card to another building and use it there while our machines were broken.
- card reloading machine is just out of this world horrible. whoever is in charge of these should be fired with no severance. When it DOES actually work, it has arbitrary load amounts(no idea why, it s really not that hard to implement a custom amount option), and hides the fees until the last second.
- both washing machines are absolutely filthy, with grime and possibly mould growing in the detergent tray
- also they refuse to offer a refund even when both machines were broken for more than 7 days. Literally had to hand wash my clothes in the sink like a chimney sweep from the 40s.
- if you make a mistake at any point during the card reloading process, they will charge your card and the funds will not be on your card. this is literally theft lol
The only hope I have is that those that are in charge of this horrible train wreck of a private company find themselves in less fortunate circumstances in the future, so that they too will hopefully have to endure the wrath that is using a Coinmatic laundry machine.
Some of the machines are always down! They're old, dirty and stinky and not well maintained. For the price that you pay the quality is extremely poor. The dryers barely dry even when I load them less than half, the drying time is also very long! 50 minutes! TERRIBLE!
Terrible customary service. The card crediting machine was broken. They told me to go back downstairs and reset the machine by holding a particular button down or unplugging and plugging it back. Neither option was possible since there was no button underneath and the machine was hardwired.
Customer service is atrocious. They bill you consistently saying you're past due when they have all your direct deposit information. Been on email chains simply trying to understand why they aren't taking my payments. No one takes responsibility.
Have had sooo many aggravating encounters with coinamatic's customer "service". First had a card that wouldn't work & it took almost 3 months & numerous calls before I finally got the new card & cheque to refund what I was told they were going to send out the first time I called. Since then I've had multiple issues with their website & each time when I call, the representatives I speak to are not very professional...staying silent on the other end of the line long after I finish speaking rather than acknowledging what I've said or answering; putting me on hold without warning; no apologies for the countless issues I've had thanks to their company, etc. It's really unfortunate that in order to stop using their service in my building I would be inconveniencing myself to find another place and leaving my building to do my laundry.
They took seconds to charge my account by mistake. While the refund takes half of the month, which is only $30. Where is the logic there? This comment is dated Jan 24, 2018.
I am a tenant at a building that uses Coinamatic machines. If I could give a lower eating than '1' for my experience, I would. Here's my complaint email to Coinamatic:
Our laundry card loader machine has been down for 21 days during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC and since I have a vested interest in seeing this issue is corrected, I have been in contact with our rental office and Coinamatic with the purpose of helping to resolve this.
Coinamatic advised our rental office that the issue with the machine had to do with the Bell connection. A Bell representative has since checked and verified that there is no issue with the cable lines.
Repeated attempts were made by the rental office, as well as myself this week. I called multiple times to escalate the issue. We have a 19 story building with many seniors that are high risk during this Coronavirus outbreak. They're ONLY DEFENSE is cleanliness. And your company has made this very arduous for many people.
I would also like to point out that a Coinamatic representative answered my call and stated "I picked up your call yesterday. There is nothing I can do for you any further - sorry". And hung up the phone. This agent REPRESENTS your company values. He has a very prominent west indian accent, and this should also be looked into if your company does in fact, demand a high level of customer service from your reps.
The department manager Carmen has a responsibility to his client group. For an issue to go on unresolved like this for 21 days is UNACCEPTABLE. If this individual is not able to handle the requirements of his job, he should be replaced by someone who is capable as many people rely on your services. He should be held accountable for this big "miss" on his part. I also attempted to reach out to another department manager with the hopes that they would be able to help. I was unable to, but the fact that I had to consider this, is very telling of Manager Carmen's work ethic.
In addition to all of the aforementioned, your company has the LOWEST google rating I have ever seen. When I called Coinamtic, I listened to a recording while on hold, stating how Coinamatic values customer service, has the latest technology and that they are always available to meet the clients needs. Yet, during my experience, I did not witness any of this.
A very helpful agent by the name of Lazaro finally called a technician out to our location with the highest level of priority. I hope someone comes out today.

Lastly, the rental office should not have to pay for their Coinamatic service for the month of June seeing as they did not receive any. And perhaps they should be compensated for the trouble this situation has cost them, as they have had to take time away from other work, to deal with tenant complaints in regards to an issue that should never have gone on this long in the first place.
This company doesn't deserve even one star. Bad machines, most of the time not working, or not work properly, dirty. Absolutely disgusting. Customer service terrible. Doesn't return money for damaged laundry or lost money when machine stop in the middle of cycle. If I treat my customers like they treat theirs I'll be starving. This company is shame for Canada. Users need to get them to court because they are stealing money from people. I will forbid them to exist.

I must acknowledge the consistency of Coinamatic. This is a company that consistently doesn't maintain its machines, therefore they consistently break and/or don't work correctly. It consistently doesn't care about the satisfaction of its customers, and consistently ignores complaint e-mails.

I have lived in buildings that have used coinamatic for 7 years. This company provides the worse service ever. Machines are never cleaned, there is constant problems with the machines taking your money and their repair service time is horrendous. I am currently in a small building that has only two dryers and two washers, our dryers, both of them have been broken since last Tuesday, six days later and we have still to see a technician to repair them. When we call and ask when someone will be here, they basically tell us they will be here when they get here. Enough is enough, how does a company get away with such horrible service.
Victim of this error 06 when I try to use my card. Confirmed with the super and one other person in my building that's it not just my card. Phone number for coinamatic mentions this vague system outage. Been like this since Monday July 16th, 2018. Haven't seen worse customer communication since Interac went down last year. I've concluded that everyone should have the right to clean clothes and access to a laundry machine 24/7. Seriously thinking about moving back in with rents.

My building has only one washer and dryer (my landlord asked coinamatic to install a second machine however they refuse apparently a building with 22 residents has a one machine limit).Now for the second time in a year their machine has broken down and it's been five days since a service call has been placed. I do not recommend this company due to their terrible policies and poor service.
Worst customer care I have ever dealt with. They dont know how to speak to a customer. They even dont know the problem why we are not getting emails with value code. My money was deducted from the account and I didn't get the value code. When it was asked to them they don't know that. They are not answering to the questions we are asking. They are stubborn idiots.
They only have a couple customer service agents when they have more than 20 calls in queue, machines won't get fixed properly when service calls are placed, and the majority of the people don't know how to use the machines correctly, that's why the laundry machines are always out of order.
Worst company to deal with. Constant having to call to get service. Machines go weeks before being repaired and many times they just are not. I dont blame the service men or woman or the customer service. This is a management issue and lack of staffing issue. Poorly run company!
Once you pay amount, it's still not yours. You have to remember your transaction pin and load it onto your card. I guess 50 years ago this was a cool invention. Now, these are annoying extra steps.
THE WORST!! As all of the reviews below state. This company does not replace lost cards, even though they preach about accountability and auditability. This company is not efficient whatsoever. Why can you not cancel the old card and transfer funds to the new one? Because you are a bunch of thieves!!! Not to mention, my whites are all ruined because of this company. Worst company ever!!!! As I work nights, I attempted to do laundry at 4:30AM with the one machine we have. Machine took my money and wasted my detergent. I phoned them which is next to impossible as their 905 number has no ring tone. Called their 1-800 number it rang once and no sound after that? I called two more times and held on after the silence. Finally got an answer. Not a friendly woman by any means. She took all my info and said someone would probably come out in two business days. My property manager called the next day, he was told there was no record of my call? I called right after he did and they said their system was down? I'll say, their whole damn system is down as is their company. May I suggest that you not deceive people on your website as to how simple it is to 'chat' 24 hours a day? Also, we need a Canadian customer service line that works. And, seriously, you want me to fill out your email contact form and wait 7 days for someone to get back to me? Get your damn act together and give us the phone number for the Canadian office. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Have you actually read through these reviews of your company? Just because you are buying and swallowing up your competition, it doesn't mean that you can treat your customers like you're a monopoly!

I'm at my wits end with this company. I had a good experience in Oakville with their services, but now living in Hamilton, it's just horrible. I haven't been able to load up my laundry card for over 2 weeks in my building (initially I couldn't even view my card balance), and the error code the machine comes up with is "Z3 = line busy"....what line? Who else would be using the independent connection for the machine!?!
This is inexcusable, having clean clothes is a necessity, and as it seems, I'll be not paying them any more of my money
I don't think there is anyplace or company or machine worst than Coinmatic. Horrible machines, doesn't wash and dry. They are just there to take your money. Whats the use of using the machine if you have to carry your wet laundry every time and rinse it yourself and find a place to dry them. I wish you never existed.
Worse company ever...dont give a darn about their customer only about raising rates. Tenants waiting since Feb 6th for the money loading machine to be fixed in Guildwood and everyday they are sending someone. Today is Feb 18th and this machine is still NOT fixed and tenants cannot do their laundry...
Machines constantly break, eat your money, etc. I can't tell you how many times I've had to carry my wet soaking laundry and find some place to hang them up to dry because the driers haven't remotely dried them. I've even had machines lock my wet clothes inside, and they couldn't even bother to send a technician. I had to get the security guard in my building to help me and it took about an hour.
It's difficult to get through to their customer service, and if you wait and call them again the next day, they refuse to give refunds because you called too late. They are always rude and condescending, implying that the problem must be on my end. Even after explaining that other people had the problem as well.
If they run the laundry in your building, do yourself a favour and take your laundry to a proper laundromat instead.
They claim to have 24/7 service yet i was on hold for 47:32 with the same recording playing. I called back on Monday morning same thing. I called the 905 number and was routed to the same machine.... I would like my money back... Just spoke with a rep in Mexico and is the worst service ever asked for manager and get routed back to the call center ...im sooo over it SEND MY MONEY
Have made multiple attempts to contact them about their debit machine crashing before it could load funds already removed from my bank account to my laundry card. No replies. Theives.
This is by far the filthiest, most disgusting and poorly maintained laundromat you will ever have the disgrace of using. For your own good. Stay away from this people
The machine was having trouble reloading our card, so we called customer service. The guy told us we could reload our card in another machine nearby, and to check the website for a map. When we couldn't find the map, we called a second time. We were told that reloading on another machine is impossible, as the card is on a local network and can only be used with that machine and the washing machines in our building. We asked if we can reload our card over the phone, and he said yes, but nobody with authorization to do that works on weekends. Almost everybody does their laundry on the weekend. Why would you set your company up to leave people stranded with wet clothes? We still have like four loads to do, and will have to haul it all to a laundromat and spend our whole day off there. For a company whose sole purpose is to make sure people can do their laundry, they're sure bad at making sure people are able to do their laundry.
Coinmatic machines need to be removed from our building and another company used. A petition is going around our building for that, and I will gladly sign! Machines that are too full of coins to be able to work, machines that don't start, front loading washers that stink and leave clothes smelling like mold, dryers with loose dividers that rip clothes - I have to repeat calls for refunds and even then, this company does nothing until I call my property management company to complain. My super told me that when he watches the security camera when the technicians come here, he sees them just sit on the bench, watching their cell phones, doing nothing. COINMATIC HAS GO TO GO!!!!!
Very bad customer service, when you call to try & get money transferred from one card to another they tell you they can't do that! I have over $25 on my laundry card & all I'm being offered is $15 someone somewhere needs to figure out how to be able to transfer the amount from one card to another! I'd rather pay in change then deal with this issue since you guys JUST RAISED THE PRICE WITHOUT NOTICE. This is ridiculous one issue after another, I definitely wouldn't pay them since when you have an issue & the machine just eats extra money they don't do anything about that either. Always something!!
Really bad customer services, not giving your money back. When you swipe your card, the machine can take your money multiple times if you do not move your card.
Terrible company..washer in my building has been breaking down many times. They came once to repair only to do nothing because 2 days later we had same problem. Weird smells coming from dryer just a junk company. They just take your money and don t care about quality of product or customer satisfaction. Disgusting.
I have lived in my apartment building for two years, and in that time the washing machine that has apparently been fixed by a certified professional every time has broken down 8 times! Furthermore it's supposed to be a 1 day business day response time however it typically is a week or so. Awful service.

This company provides washers and dryers in the apartment building that I live in located in Brampton, Ontario. They are old and very unreliable. Frequently one of the washers leaks out water and the company has been advised about this from my apartment management staff and other tenants. I used this washer the other day and the load took 62 minutes to wash as so much water was leaking out of it. Some of the washer and dryers take your money and don't start so you lose your money! This has happened many times to me. The second washing machine in the same row (the first row) does not wring out the wet laundry well enough so you take it out of the machine and it is very, very wet. The last time that I called coinamatic about a problem with one of the machines I'd used, the staff member was incredibly rude and dismissive. These machines need to be replaced in my building. If you lose money while doing your laundry in one of these machines, call coinamatic and they will refund your money in the form of a cheque. I think that my management company should use another company!
Have this service in my building , pop machine just takes morey and nothing else even after a year of complaints. Went to wash my good comforters today , washed them loaded my card . Went to put them in the dryer and two other neighbors were getting an error . I got the same error called the company told me my card was broken and that I would need to mail the card in to finish my laundry and get my balance . No coin alternative on the machine so angry having to take soaking blankets in my car to another laundry mat . You can keep my 13$ balance . Feel bad for my neighbors too.
PS I rarely give a one star to any place wish there was a zero. Also a couple times over the years when I thought I had a good balance on the card it would read low or no balance not sure if anyone had there balances cleared .
The worst. Machines are unreliable. The new washing machine replaced in the last year at my building smell like mildew despite repeated visits from service people to fix it. Very poorly made and disgusting.
Loading machine in my building has been out for a week when I was assured it would be fixed in a day. Rude, unhelpful customer service reps when you can get one on the phone. Would be delighted if my building changed vendors.

Customer service is terrible, they use inefficient machines to get more money from tenants. Same machines in our building for the past 7 years, they replace parts constantly but won t replace the machines. The washers don t spin properly and the dryers don t dry. They don t even deserve one star.
I live in a place where there are coinamatic washers and dryers. They are often breaking down. Many of the residents where I live do not use these washers and dryers and go to a laundromat instead. Some of the washers and dryers take double the money to start the various machines. Many of new washing machines are breaking down. These were put in our laundry room in September 2019. As the ones that are breaking down should be under warantee for at least a year, I would like to suggest that these broken down be replaced with new ones under the warantee with the company.
If I could have given zero stars I would have. Machines always takes more money than what is indicated. My balance was always depleted. Customer service is nonexistent. I feel for the other residents who are all seniors. They are being taken advantage of. Shame on this company.
Horrible company to deal with, won't answer emails and refused to credit my laundry card back for the money their broken machines stole from me. Takes forever to get a technician and even when they come same machine is broken down later in the week. Washers do a horrible job and the dryers are worse, I ended up buying drying racks and hanging everything we wash since it will dry faster that way.
Just got my replacement card in the mail with a balance on it. It's less than what I lost on the malfunctioning card but I'm just happy to have it replaced quickly and for free. 5 Stars because too many people complaining about losing their cards then not getting the value replaced. It says right on the back of the card to treat it like cash. If you lose they can't help. Not their fault, it's called risk management. Thanks Pierre!
This company is a scam I had a claim about one of my brand new all white duvet blankets being destroyed and the lady Joan at head office denied my claim before doing any research about what happened and to find out the machine was damaged and seeing there was damage to the machine that was repaired after my call and claim she should have done the research before denying my claim she saw she was wrong. Very unprofessional and just a lady having a power trip with her job. SMH coinamatic machines are always dirty and broken there to cheap to buy new machines so people's clothes are not being cleaned and dried properly, o also forgot to add that sometimes the machine takes money for a whole load ypu dont even realize it's missing unless you write down your amount and call it in... then u have to wait over a month to get your money back and the machines still are not fixed. Unprofessional and disgusting.
Worst customer service! Our machine to reload the laundry card has been out of order for 5 days, every time we call for a tech they day it's been placed at high priority, no idea when someone will come, nothing more they can do! I would give 0 stars if that was an option. Literally the WORST company I've ever had the misfortune of giving my money to. I have lived in the same building for two years, they constantly raise the prices of the washers and dryers, yet have literally never once replaced or fixed the issues with the machines. Half of the time more than half of the washers are out of order. The ones you can still turn on and use don't rinse out your clothing whatsoever. Your clothes come out soaking wet. There's mould inside the machines. The dryers take AT LEAST two dries to have your clothes somewhat dried. Plus they leave black oil like stains all over the clothing. Not to mention I have been attempting to contact them for two months now. 5+ emails sent with no reply. And multiple phone calls. Each time I'm told when I call there are no managers or supervisors working. They ask for me to leave a message and I have yet to receive a call back. The customer service with this company is an absolute disgrace. This company loves to just take and take and take people's money and not give them a good service. I would suggest never moving to any building that uses this horrible disgrace of a company.

My building changed companies in January from coinamatic to coin operated. I had just loaded the card a week before. I wrote coinamatic and they gave me an address to send my card in and to expect a refund within a month or two.. it's now june 22nd and still no cheque. My card had roughly $80 on it, now taken by this company. Never again will I load one of their cards with money. I would rather hand wash my clothes. Very upset and disappointed.
If I can give this company 0 stars I would. Their debit machines are consistently faulty. My bank card was card twice when one of the transaction was not successful. Yes you can request a refund or should I say BEG for a refund from this company. They have no guarantee on when you can get your money, their contact center reps all give different answers every time you call. For example I was told the funds will be automatically reimbursed to me, then the next communication with them oh you will be receiving a cheque within 10 - 15 business days after approval. However, there is no time line for approval. A big company like Coinamatic Canada has no timeline for approvals of refunds. I asked the rep so you are saying it can take 1 month, 6 months or 365 days for my refund to be approved? "YES" was her response. Very unacceptable!

The machines are always broken so tenants unplug the machines to prevent other tenants from losing money. The technician just plugs them back in instead of actually fixing the problem to tenants are fooled into thinking they ve been fixed and waste even more money before the next work order. When you call their support they won t refund the total amount of money you threw away when you washed and dried your clothes twice. I won t be using them again - I ll go to the laundromat where I know the machines are actually being maintained and I m getting what I m paying for - CLEAN CLOTHES
One of the worst companies to deal with.When you sign the contract they typically speak very well but once the contract is signed they do not even bother for you. Their technical service is one of the worst and garbage in the industry.Its simply becoz there is no other competitor and thats why they have this arrogance....
It took them several months (5 exactly), but they did finally mail me a cheque for the remaining balance on my laundry card after my building switched laundry companies.
It would be nice if multi use washers would go through a monthly clean that s provided by the company. Not just a soap clean a hygienic disinfectant clean there are these products on the market for hygiene health. It s not very good business service or practice in my opinion if the washer brakes and that coinamatic doesn t offer an addition wash refund for the loss of detergent, or a structures base amount for refund of detergent added borax or bleach resolve?? Seems like an easy business to take advantage of the clientele without providing proper hygiene structures and caring customer services within regards to losses sustained by companies malfunction products.
Some tenants seem to forget others are using these machines and the animal hair left behind can be an allergy irritation to those who have allergies, you can tell when these people absolutely do not think of others. If I had an animal I d clean up after myself for the next person, In between the rubber gets full of gunks and this to should be cleaned out by the user it s common decency. I ve seen chunks of food, cigarette butts, toys, dirt left from heavy soiled clothes or shoes transfers on to light coloured clothes, these things should be washed in a bag or at the laundry mat where it s cleaned more and or be mindful that you just don t use the washer.
It s not surprising that others do not take care of others property to peacefully and respectfully coexist together, INCLUDING leaving the washer doors open for many reasons as per manufacturing recommendations.
On Sept 11 th my account had 30 dollars taken out of it but did not load my card. I called immediately and was told that within 24-48 hrs I would receive a credit to my account. I waited 5 days and no refund. I called back and was told to send a screenshot even though they knew the money was taken out. So o sent the screenshot and was told I would be mailed a cheque. Again I waited a week and no cheque. Called back again and someone I couldn t even understand tried telling me I needed to mail in a statement showing the amount was removed. I told him to stop talking for a minute and he hung up on me. Called agin the next day and was told she was expediting my refund. 5 days later and still no refund. Not impressed and will continue to call and email until I receive my money back. If you can avoid using this company I strongly recommend it. Thanks for all your aggravation Coinamatic. Update: it s Oct 8 and big surprise still no refund. Not only that I received an email today asking me to send in all my info. Lol. Did that over 3 weeks ago. Is this how coinamatic makes their profits, by ripping people off? How many people do you do this to? I m thinking lots and lots. Great business strategy can t believe your still up and running
