Dealing with there service department was terrible...

Dealing with there service department was terrible. I talk to them over the phone had everythi ng planed and ready to go and then it all fell through when I got there and waited for hours to get what I needed done when it was suppose to be done when I got there. Never going to them again

What a waste of time, complete bait and switch dealership. Multiple phone calls to ensure the pricing/costs were accurate so I could pick up a new Ram 1500. Arrived and was told that we were actually $5000-$6000 off. Talk about being livid, I walked out of there and would not recommend doing business with these people.

Car dealerships (stealerships) have a bad reputation and it's driven by these types of experiences. 75 miles round trip of fuel wasted and 2 hours of my time. And don't be fooled by any of their sales people telling you "Withnell won't be under-sold" as there's no truth to it whatsoever. I thought my experience at Dick's McKenzie Dodge was bad, but Withnell proved the bar can always be lowered. Perhaps they paid to have others write positive reviews, but I can assure you their customer service and business ethics need substantial help.

Great experience. I came here not knowing if ill get a car or not, but ended up buying a 2019 Dodge Challenger. Overall a awesome time with Brent B. he got me exactly what I wanted and the car I wanted since the color was not there that I was wanting to get had it driven to Salem and arrived in 2 days. Didn't pressure me into getting something that I didn't need or something not in my budget. Defiantly will be doing business here next time I'm looking for a car. Thank you Withnell Dodge Team! We came in to get our warranty oil change. We also needed new wiper blades and needed a replacement part for the rear right side door that has broken tabs. We were there from 2pm until 3:30 before we received our car. We then found out, they had NOT replaced the wiper blades OR even checked the broken handle part, only because we asked about these parts when we were finalizing the paper work. In the past 25 years, we have purchased several vehicles from Withnell, but after such poor service today, this may be our last.

I was naively all set on a certain color, but the salesman also pointed out some options that came with a different one. Stubborn me started the sale on the perfect color one, only to realize I could get so many more additions with the other color. So I said let's go for his suggestion because the extras meant a lot to me. Well, about a minute into driving it, I COMPLETELY fell in love with the inside and no longer cared about the color outside. But seriously, it's gorgeous all over anyway, who cares if it's a more common color? I have never in my life loved a car this much. Thanks, guys, for laying it all out so I could make the right decision. I finally have the car I've dreamed about for twenty years!

We bought a used late model Chrysler from Withnell. It s obvious they took great pains to make sure it was in perfect shape. It s been a few years now the car is still super reliable! And their service department keeps it that way just brought it in for the 125,000-mile checkup. I recommend anyone looking for used to check out Withnell.

I had a problem with Roberson motors dealership service of Salem, OR. I called Chrysler customer service, they advised me to go to any other dealer service, and ask them to check noise without telling about what previous service did. I went to Withnell Dodge of Salem, OR. 07/11/17 they did a great job, used tools (stethoscope & etc.) and experience - found that squeezing noise goes from engine belt tensioner. 07/20/17 replaced bad part, pooleys and the noise was gone.

The gentleman we worked directly with, Jeff Dillon, really got to know our exact needs, wants and buying parameters and worked hard to find vehicles that might work for us, calling us to come in and see them, sticking with us until we found exactly the right one! We really appreciated the personal and friendly service. We not only felt cared for, but cared about :)

wish I could say I had a good experience at Withnell Dodge. In August I got a used work truck from Withnell Motor Company. Of course, all used vehicles have problem however during the test drive I brought up a problem with the steering but was told "There's nothing to worry about, their service department does a full inspection and would have caught anything that was wrong" I stupidly trusted this salesman and went ahead with the purchase without anything in writing about the steering. The next day I noticed some vibration when I got over 55 mph. So I called my salesman and asked about balancing of the tires but was told there was nothing they could do because "they already balanced them during the inspection". The truck was on their lot for a day before I got it so the tires would have been balances two days before. I brought it into les Shwab to get it checked since Withnell shouldn t help me. The tires were 9oz out of balance. There was no way they could have balanced them in the shop at the dealership and been 9oz out in 2 days. I had them do a full inspection to check on the steering problem. So now I'm 55 out for balancing and have a quote in my hands for over $1000 of work to get my 2 day old truck to a safe place for myself and my family. I took the quote and bill to Withnell and they said "sorry I guess I talked to the wrong person but here's 55 for the balancing" the steering problem that they said their service department "checked out" I was on my own. Now 2 months later after getting my truck where I should have been I went back to talk to Withnell one last time to make things right. The Manager Jim Ruiz told me that he couldn t help me because "They sold it as is and I didn t ask for it to be fixed before I signed. But I should be happy because I made my truck better and safer" I told him I wasn t to talk to someone else and he told me the only person above him that I could talk to was the owner. I asked him for his name and he told me to ask someone else for his name and walked away. Soooooo..... First thing, shop somewhere else. Second used cars from Withnell Motor Company, have a different company look over because their service department sucks. Third I would love to talk to the owner since no one else is around about the horrible customer service, rude manager and fixing what they said they did in the first place but I don t see that happening.

A great Dodge place. I took my Dodge Journey in to these folks to have them figure out why my check engine light had come on. It turned out they had to order the part they needed to fix the issue and I'm taking my car back in next week to have it fixed. They are very nice and helpful people that seem to know what they are doing and I've enjoyed doing business with them.

He is an absolutely astounding individual. I came back into the Withnell Dodge dealership 3 separate times over 2 weeks. Every time Trevor has been insanely helpful.

He went out of his way to show us anything and everything about the different vehicles we were interested in, he assisted us on our behalf getting the situation figured out with financing and he even drove paperwork himself directly to the other individual listed to not inconvenience them.

His customer service is above par compared to any other dealership in which I have ever experienced. I have currently bought, now 3, different cars from Withnell Dodge and they exceed my expectations EVERY SINGLE TIME.

There is never any pressure, Trevor takes his time and nobody ever has a rush. I have asked him to give my wife and I a few minutes to think things over and instead of coming back in 5 minutes, he has waited away until I re-approach him.

He is honest to god one of the best car salesmen that I have ever met and am coming back next year to buy my truck from him as his honesty, integrity and charisma makes this entire experience BETTER than ever before.

So my wife flys out to Oregon to take care of dead Brothers estate. He has a 2012 Dodge ram pick up with only 3000 miles on it she drives it for 10 miles and the brakes lock up. Understandably for a truck do you have a problem because it sat so long. She takes it to withnell Where we spend $2100 to have all the brakes fixed. A week later they call to apologize for her brothers death but yet have the gall to ask her to trade in his truck. I have worked in dealerships for 30 years as an ASE master technician and yet none of the dealerships I have work that have ever stooped As low as to ask to trade in a dead family members vehicle. My dead brother-in-law Not only bought the pick up from them but I also bought a journey from them. Guess they didn t get enough money from a dead person. Absolutely appalling!!

No thank you. Your employee Ron in finance was very rude and acted as if it was an inconvenience for him to be helping. He wasn't the original person who had done the financing the day before, and when it came time to come back the next day to sign final paperwork, the monthly payment had mysteriously gone up and the explanation as to why didn't add up. Kinda crazy that your finance department wasn't willing to honor the original agreement or offer a reasonable explanation, especially during these times when you should be doing everything in your power to make a sale. We will be going to another dealership.

I have recently been exploring the possibility of a second vehicle to use as a daily commuter vehicle. And I ve long been interested in the challenger. So I saw one on their website and reached out. The online rep was great, answered questions, and transferred me to a sale specialist (Eric). After some back and forth on pricing and what terms could look like I agreed to stop by and look at the vehicle and do a test drive. Unfortunately I was not thrilled with the test drive as the vehicle was not as I expected based on driving a prior model year several years back. The ride quality was terrible. Which to be clear is not the dealerships fault. But when the sales guy asked what I thought and I told him the ride quality wasn t that great and I felt it wouldn t be good as a commuter vehicle he became agitated and made a snide remark that perhaps I should go look at Cadillacs or Lincoln s instead. The guy was rude and dismissive as well as pushy when I told him in had a set maximum and wouldn t go over it. Kept trying to get me to agree to go over.

Overall not impressed with pushy user car salesmen types who are rude and disrespectful to customers. Plenty of other dealerships to shop at in Salem and beyond.

Update to owner, I am happy to speak to the Sales Manager about the incident. Not sure it will change my mind on anything though.

This was the best vehicle buying experience I have ever had.....and this is the 93rd vehicle I've owned! Eric and Ron were AWESOME! The purchase of my new RAM took under a couple of hours from start to finish. This dealership is THE Best in the Pacific Northwest! Proud to be driving my new RAM from Withnell Dodge!

Bought a new Challenger, the salesman Adam was fantastic to work with the whole sales process was very pleasant. A 4 star process! Could have been 5 but my trade in price hurt a little :)

I called to schedule an appointment for my first service and asked if they provided a shuttle ride to work. The gentleman on the phone said they do. They also do not require an appointment which is nice.

I showed up the next morning at 7:30 and to my surprise the service writer said he could call me a cab or sell me a rental car. That must be what they consider a shuttle!? The oil change cost me $100, it DIDN'T include a shuttle, they DIDN'T wash or vacuum my car and I left feeling quite ordinary having just spent over $40,000 on a new car. To me this is unacceptable . The service department in NO way matches the sales department.

My wife has a 160k miles on her 2004 Yukon we have serviced at Power Buick/GMC we didn't purchase it from there and they treat us like gold. A 60 dollar oil change included a wash/vacuum and FREE shuttle service.

I'll be finding a new dealer to service my Challenger.

Customer service from Anthony Brown in the service department was quality and Withnell Should be embarrassed, I do not enjoy being talked to like a 3 year old. I went in for an oil change thinking that lithia dodge of eugene's plan was good there. That was my mistake because the contract isn't with dodge but with Lithia. Not thier fault. The problem I had was that when I called to scheduled Courtney said I was good. And I called to say I was gonna be a couple minutes late (2 min late) she said it was fine. I arrived and was told to wait in the express line by Byron, who had no customers in front of him. 10 min later I was informed by the gentleman in the express line that my oil change plan was only with lithia. No problem with that besides that Courtney didn't explain that to me on the phone and as an employee in the auto service industry you should be forthcoming with your customers. And it is disappointing that an employee that could help when it is busy decided to just sit back and not help is disturbing. I will take my business elsewhere.

I had to text and follow up daily, Chris the salesman. He told me several times he would be in touch. Days would go by. The last time he said he would be in touch in 30 min. I had to text 3 hours later. He came back with crazy different terms than promised. I feel lied to! I believe I was told by Chris what I wanted to hear just to keep me on a hook. Two weeks later, I recommended a co-worker to him and she walked away with an SUV she said she never thought she would be able to own. Not sure where to start! My experience at Withnell was spectacular. My salesman Johnathan was a pleasure to work with he got me my 2018 Durango R/T at a great price. This was not a pushy car buying experience and I was in and out in no time. Best part is they didn't try to sell me a bunch of stuff I don't need. I highly recommend Johnathan and the whole Withnell group!

He showed us many trucks and when we found the one we wanted, he came through on the sale. Dillon was also super friendly and informative. They stayed late, but never made us feel like a bother. Jonathan was the salesman that worked with me not only did he get me a good deal on my charger but he was professional and had excellent product knowledge I d high recommend having him as your salesman.
Overall experience at Withnell was great I was in and out in about 2 hours (buying a car normally takes a little while) and the warranty option was one of the best I ve seen.
Will definitely be doing business with them in the future.

Service manager lied straight to my face about the work they had done. Prior to that, the work that was done ended up being completely unprofessional as if the oil change person had done mechanical work. I recommend you go somewhere reliable. Just not what service is supposed to be. Zero for effort. Zero for honesty. Zero for all but the cab ride home. :)

When our 3 year old truck left us stranded on the side of I5 with our travel trailer, kiddo, and dog, whitnell was the closest dodge dealer to work with. They would only cover the cost of a rental if we used their rental company which refused to supply us with a comparable vehicle. We were given a Jeep renegade and told no dogs allowed in the rental. This left us on our own to find a way to haul our trailer and get our dog home. Luckily a friend was able to drive from out of town and help. When we returned the rental we were left with pompous remarks about how dirty the outside and inside of the rental was, for reference, next time you should clean the inside out before returning it . Prior to picking it up, we warned them that we lived on a gravel road more suitable for a truck and that we had a toddler. So of course it needed washed and vacuumed after we used it. Isn t renting out and maintaining their fleet their job? The original estimate for repairs on our truck was three months, but luckily it was completed in just two weeks. I ll give it to them there, they made quick work of a big malfunction. But when they called to inform us the truck was ready, we were already headed out of town for the weekend and said we could not get in there till Monday. They then himmed and hawed about how they could only cover the rental cost for so many days...well is that my problem? Maybe try selling a quality product from the start that doesn t blow up at 67k miles....When I showed up Monday to get our truck I assumed I could transfer over the car seat and kiddo and go on my way while they handled getting the rental car checked in and back down the street to their lot. Nope, I was told to drive it there and then the rental company would give me a ride back. Great, back in the car seat that my toddler was already upset about being in for so long (it s a 1.5hr drive one way for us to the dealership). After getting everything transferred and taken care of, my toddler and I walked around whitnells lot looking at new and used pickups because we were hoping to trade our truck in eventually (which we already told them when we dropped it off for the warranty work). Not a single person came out to help us. I don t want to play the gender card here, but just because I m a female walking around looking at trucks with a toddler does not make me any less capable of spending money on a truck. I guarantee if my husband would have done the same thing he would have had immediate service (or at least some kind of service after opening up and looking inside several different trucks).

Update we discovered after driving our truck all the way home, that it is leaking what looks like power steering fluid (possible broken hose from the mechanical work done at the dealership). So it s back to the dealership we go....

In 1996 we bought the blue and silver ram 2500 diesel 4x4, our salesman was Randy Holman, our service advisor was Dave and our mechanic was a great guy named Roddy, I share this with you for a reason, old blue as we call her has 445000 miles on her and I would take her anywhere right now but after 22 years we had such a great experience at Withnell we dropped by and found a new truck to add to the family, now let me tell you I HATE THE DEALER EXPERIENCE.... but I met Travis Baldwin... salesman that new my expectations... no messing around, no waiting around for hours, no BS, straight to the point. We bought a new 1500 eco diesel 4x4.. (Drives like a Cadillac) we negotiated a price and was out the door in about an hour. Travis is a young salesman that knows his business ( ask for him specifically). We will by from withnell always... customers for life. THANKS GUYS AND GALS KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

I have bought several cars over the course of my life and found this to be the easiest, most honest experience I have had. The representative I worked with was new to the business and used to be a mechanic. He attended the pre-vehicle inspection with my Mom and I and was very courteous, kind, and not pushy. I recommend this dealership given that I feel they want to work with consumers and provide good deals to prospective customers.

Their new car pricing is competitive or better than anyone in the Northwest. I shopped Oregon Washington and Idaho and found the best price right at home! They also put their prices on their web site. All in all it was a good experience from vehicles to staff. Steve Beatty in the fleet department is a stand up guy.

I never received a phone call or anything in the mail.( on their error) Till today. I will never go back and will never recommend this place.

Where to start..... well, my 2017 Ram 2500 went in for service right off the show room floor. I didn t want to take it to the dealer that I bought it from due to them being a distance out of town. I took it to withnell and they fixed the problem. Upon fixing the problem, they damaged 6 of my trim panels. I went in and the service manager Mark looked at them and agreed that they damaged them. He said they would replace them, I took it back in and they didn t fix half of them. I called corporate and complained. Then the service manager called me again and agreed that they weren t replaced, he offered to write me a check, to go somewhere else and have the work done. Really? What kind of service is that? Like you damage my brand new truck and then try to pay me to go somewhere else? Trust me people, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND BUY YOUR FUTURE CARS AND SERVICE. DO NOT BUY FROM WITHNELL!
