We previously purchased 2 cars from Prestige Toyota, and returned now to buy our third car from this dealership. Each one of our experiences have been handled professionally, and to our mutual satisfaction. Our sales person this time, Chris D'Onofrio, was a pleasure to work with. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the car we considered purchasing, which we did buy. I highly recommend Prestige Toyota, and especially, if possible, to make an appointment with Chris, who will handle your needs and questions with utmost professionalism.

They have always kept my Highlander running well and do not push repairs that are not necessary. The work is done in a timely manner while I wait and they have a very comfortable waiting room.

Listen, there are going to be good and bad reviews for every dealership. Some people cannot be pleased, which would account for any negative comments on here. My fiance and I came here and leased a Rav4 due to an end-of-the-year factory promotion which was a great deal. Prestige actually gave us a better deal than the advertized one. The sales woman mistakenly told us there would be no disposition fee at end of lease. When signing the deal, we found out there was indeed a fee. To compensate, we got an iPad MINI. When dealing with dealerships I am always waiting for the swindle to occur. But it never did here. Highly recommended. PS, we got a check for nearly two hundred dollars a month after saying we had overpaid. Not sure why, but I am not asking questions.

First impression:

Great selection of cars, the support staff was friendly and cordial upon arrival, beautiful showroom. We felt very welcomed and we were attended to right away. We test drove a used vehicle but ended up purchasing a new vehicle instead. Our sales representative, Kelly, was fantastic. Let me tell you--she was the ONLY reason why we stuck it out with, Prestige Toyota. To the owner/management: Kelly should receive a raise or a bonus. She truly exemplifies quality customer service.

Final Impression, the soup, and nuts:

A) If a dollar came off the sales price for every minute this dealership took to actually sell us our car...they'd owe us money out the door;

B) It appears attention to detail was not covered in general training--but that's okay, that's what computers are for right? No, no, THE computer said so. YOUR arithmetic/corrections are incorrect...(a summation of the back and forth that ensued w/ the finance dept. It was exhausting). We had two estimates drawn up and of course the final itemization. Each estimate (and even the final itemization) were calculated differently with the final amount equaling the correct total. Even though the total was correct--it left an air of impropriety even though there was none really to be had;

C) The dealership is allergic to providing customer copies but if you ask three or four times that should cure it (again, finance dept.) ;

D) The cars sell themselves, they had a HUGE selection, they even have a second lot with more cars in storage in Nyack . Even if they don't have something on site they can find what you are looking for. Toyotas generally are good products--hence, why we put up with line items, A-C.

In conclusion, it's a car dealership. You will always feel a little dirty walking out. But, the salesperson's bubbly attitude and the unlimited cappuccino will give you the strength to press on (Note: they do have water for you to rehydrate).

Would we go back?

Perhaps, for the right deal. But not without reservation. We'd need to be prepared for the long haul. Supplies needed: a good book, food, a tent, and some sleeping bags.

When the customers in front of you order delivery for their family--you feel like a FOOL for walking in so ill prepared.

To all those considering Prestige--I say give them a go. Ask for Kelly, she will make the process palatable. I'm not exactly giving a glowing recommendation, but I am giving a reserved yet honest one. Cars are pretty much the same wherever you go. In my opinion service makes or breaks final impressions and willingness to refer. That said, you might find the right deal for you and your family here so, I say, why not?

Update: Within 10 minutes of this post; we realize the title was made out to the wrong person. I don't know how this much paperwork can be wrong. However, they seem very eager to remedy the situation. Now we wait.

*Update to the update: Title issue was remedied within the hour. I have to say that Prestige has been consistent in their quick response to the mistakes that have popped up along the way. I suppose this is the silver lining?

**Final update: This post originally had three stars. But, in all honesty Prestige has earned itself two. We finally got the plates and registration. Upon arrival a $189 mystery charge was due--there was no description or itemization for the charge whatsoever. Everything was paid in full when Joe the finance manager drafted & processed the paperwork. After calling around for awhile, the service department couldn't figure out why the charge was there. Eventually, the mystery fee was waived, the plates were installed & the car was washed. Yay? I guess. . .

Final thoughts: if you decide to go; proceed w/caution.
Final impression: Not great. But not completely terrible...But, it really wasn't the best experience. We probably won't be back.

I left my Nissan Dealer of 9 years and it was the best decision I made. My saleman, Aaron, was amazing on providing me the service I needed and understanding what I was looking for. Aaron took his time and answered all the questions I had. He provided a lot of useful information that helped me make my final decision. As a mother of two small children, safety and reliability was of utmost importance to me and my family. I know he got the best deal out there for me. It is hard to find a salesman that puts his client's needs first. The dealership was beautiful and clean. Everyone involved was amazingly friendly.

Just leased a car from Prestige and I got a great deal. My salesperson was Dan Lawrence and he was very good. There was no pressure and no BS, he spent a load of time with me, told him what I wanted and he did it, in addition the guy is a car guy and knows the difference between an I-4 and a V-6 to say the least (I always like to test their knowledge of what they sell) ask him any questions about the car and he can answer, you don't get the usual scripted sales talk. I recommend Dan very highly and hope he is still there when my current lease expires.

Horrible customer service!! Won't answer or retun ...

Horrible customer service!! Won't answer or retun calls regarding my recent purchase. Have tried repeatedly. Kept being told my salesman was with a client, when he was no longer with company.

Gave deposit and was told to come next day when finished detailing. Told I won't have to wait. Next day waited an hour for fiance to tell me they just got the paperwork and best they could offer was 2.3% over agreed fiancing cause banks were now closed. Called at 5 pm everything was set. Now 7 pm!!!

Car was listed as $23,995. Agreed on 23,495 finance dept changed amount to $24, 521. Overcharged and lied telling me taxes and fees were included to see they were added in later!!!

Dishonest dealership. STAY AWAY!!!

Don't bother to say you would like the opportunity to talk with me and to please call. If that were the case, you would have returned one of the over 20 calls I have made in an attempt to Speak with you!!!!

We are VERY pleased with our car buying experience...

We are VERY pleased with our car buying experience. Our salesperson (Andy Eagle) was amazing. He was patient and 'listened' to what our needs/wish list were. He was NOT pushy in trying to convince us to buy something we didn't want/need.

After spending several hours with Andy one day, test driving several cars, we still were not set on what we wanted and left the dealership.

Two days later, Andy called to let us know that a Certified car just became available, and thought we might want to consider it. We went to test drive, and it was a done deal.... we are new Toyota 86 owners!

I will recommend Prestige Toyota (specifically Andy Eagle) to any of my friends who are car shopping.

I went to Prestige Toyota the other day for my car's regular checkup. They seemed to have taken all the necessary precautions as far as being safe from Covid-19. They also did a very good job on servicing my car.
Krystal, the assistant service manager, took care of setting everything up, and kept me informed the entire time of was there.

It's hard for me to rate Prestige Toyota as my comparisons are Prestige Mini and Prestige BMW, both under the same management, but tailoring to a different segment. Though I don't expect Toyota to offer the same level of service as either other brand, I believe there are some things that they could offer to make the experience better.

I'm looking mostly at their service department, as the majority of our interactions have been with them. First off, they do not offer complimentary loaners, which I can understand at their volume, though the other two brands do, and it makes a huge difference. Rather than my only interaction being with the rep and taking off for the rest of the day, experiencing a different (usually more uptrim model) that usually makes me consider the model or at least some options in the next car we have, we have to entertain ourselves in their waiting area, the ante-room of Hades, for typically 2 hours. Also, why does an oil change on the most popular car in the country take 2 hours?

The waiting room itself is fine. They have a tv, free wifi, coffee and vending machines and is kept fairly clean. The problem comes when you need to be in the same room as the other customers for a prolonged period of time. Get ready to learn way too many personal details about people oblivious to how loudly they talk on their phone. Also children with sticky fingers touching you.

The reps are all fine, and keep from being hostile, but clearly don't go out of their way to make any sort of impression. You are clearly just a number here and they want to get rid of you as fast as possible.

Compared to other Toyota dealerships, this is very good. But since I've seen what their other dealerships are capable of, I am not impressed. We're definitely done with the Toyota experience now, and will be sticking to the non-entry level makes, though I realize this is not a practical choice for many people. You definitely get what you pay for.

We had a terrible experience with this dealer. After negotiating the price, we were told to come back to pick up the car the next day at noon. Before going to the dealer, we contacted them to confirm this time and they asked that we arrive an hour later, at 1 PM. We arrived at 1 PM and were told to sit and wait. We waited for 30 minutes at which point we asked how much longer this wait would be, as we had an appointment. Another 15 minutes went by, at which point we expressed dismay. We were then shuttled to a finance person who did not know the details of the deal; in fact, he suggested that our price was almost $2K more due to financing and needed another "minute" to talk to a supervisor. He finally returned and said that they were ready for us to see the car. He asked us to wait in the red area, where we waited for nearly 30 minutes. Again, at this point, we questioned what was going on, as we just wanted to pick up our new car. We were told that the car wasn't even there; it must be out getting gas. Frustrated, we decided to leave, to return and pick up the car another time. On our way out, we were intercepted by the salesperson, who assured us that they were just bringing the car around the front. He asked that we please wait. Again, we stood outside the dealership waiting, and of course, no car was brought around. The final straw was when they handed us the registration that identified a different car than the one that we purchased. At that point, we left, cancelled the deal and bought a Honda. We were appalled at the poor customer service, the shady nature of the personnel and the lack of respect for our time. This dealer needs to get its act together. What an absolute disappointment!

The sales rep we dealt with was Jillian Delgado. She was extremely knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable right away. We knew instantly that we were in the right hands. She worked literally for a few hours straight until our daughter was able to walk out of the dealership with a new Toyota Corolla! Jillian made the experience a great one. We will never forget how good she treated us. This is the third Toyota we purchase and our salesmen Cliff has been the only salesman who really took his time with us Explaining what every button in our car was good for and offered to set everything up for us. No other salesperson ever took their time like this with our previous purchase at other Toyota location. He made sure we got taken care of and overall just made us feel very comfortable. I thought I had cleaned out my trade-in, but Cliff went through it himself and dug out a pair of prescription sunglasses that had been missing for six months! We can't say enough on how AMAZING Prestige Toyota is. I recently purchased my leased Avalon from Prestige. Due to a tough year on my credit score, I was having trouble getting my loan secured, and getting the necessary financing to buy my own car. Thankfully, Cliff Montes in sales provided superb customer service, and got me in touch with his two finance wizards, Ray Laureano and Domingo Nunez. Ray got me the necessary financing, and Domingo smoothly closed the deal, demonstrating that Prestige really cares about their returning customers. My friend and I went to Toyota prestige to get our first leased car. Carlos, who is the dealer, helped us. He is very nice, professional and he made us very comfortable. Because it s our first time geting a new car we re not sure if we are ready to make the purchase. Carlos called Ed, the manager. Ed asked us how much we can afford as monthly payment and when we told him how much, he insulted us by telling us that we should go to Hyundai or Kia "coz we only sell quality car". So we didn t say anything more and just left, feeling insulted.

My sales person was Robert Rogue and he made my experience buying a new car pleasurable. No pressure what so ever. As a matter of fact I left and called later to except the deal. Again no pressure. I would recommend Robert to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle. This was my third Toyota from Prestige and never had a problem with anything including the service department. Excellent experience.

Absolutely disgusted by the team at Prestige Toyota. Bought a used 4Runner after them talking up their inspection program and the shape of the car. Find out the car I drove off the lot was completely illegal to drive. Cannot get any response from them on what they are going to do. This was after I paid a $1300 "prep fee" from what they fixed during the "inspection". I would never buy a car from them again. Shady business practices and terrible service.

I bought a Toyota because I legitimately love and follow Toyota as a company and the way they operate their manufacturing and business practices. Prestige Toyota does not deserve to sell these cars or represent Toyota Globally.

We've had several problems with Prestige Toyota in...

We've had several problems with Prestige Toyota in connection with two cars we bought and had serviced there. First, we bought a "Prestige Certified" pre-owned Corolla, and after installing a remote starter, cruise control, and new tires at our own expense, it became apparent that the car had so many serious, hidden problems (bad ignition coil, persistent cylinder misfire codes, bad mass airflow sensor, then finally a broken EVAP box with an estimated cost of almost $4,000 to fix). We traded it in for a newer RAV4 within 4 months. We wonder how the car passed the rigorous inspection that was supposed to have been done as part of the Prestige Certification.

With the second car, the RAV4, the Prestige Toyota service department installed a remote starter before we took the car home, and the installer left black electrical tape all around the ignition, covering the ring of light that illuminates the keyhole. When we questioned it, they said it was necessary in order to make the remote work properly and they did it as neatly as possible. We took it down the street to Model Electronics, and they were so bothered by how badly it was done, they fixed it for free, so now we have the ignition light back and no more ugly electrical tape (thank you Model Electronics!). We can see a small space between the ignition switch and steering column cover, so it looks like the installer used the electrical tape to hide his sloppy work.

Also, since the RAV4 is "Toyota Certified," it came with the 2-year "ToyotaCare Maintenance" plan. When we scheduled our first service, they told us they had no record of the car being covered under a maintenance plan, and it took two days of back-and-forth with the dealership to get it straightened out. Then when we had the service, they didn't rotate the tires. When we realized and questioned it several weeks later, they claimed tire rotation wasn't included, even though it's listed as one of the 4 basic services covered under their maintenance plan on their website (I had to send them a link). Then we had to make another trip back for that.

Prestige Toyota Service does not seem to care about its customers or the quality of its work. Stuff happens, but we've owned Hondas for over 20 years and never had recurring problems like these. We won't be buying Toyota again.

Thanks Brian, you re the best! The finance manager David was very friendly as well ! Overall I had a wonderful experience with Prestige Toyota .

I have never left car dealership with such a satisfaction before. Every time I go to a dealership, I try to understand what i am paying for, I like to be clear and get a breakdown for my cost. When I ask this question, they always change their attitude and make me feel like they try to cover for something, and they don't want me to find out what are they doing.

Mr. Rob Rago, more than 15 years in the business, a real gentleman. He start offering me their promotions. He gives me all the information that i needed with all the breakdown. He tried to help me out to get the best deal. I told him my needs and how much i can afford. he tried his best to get me what i wanted. I really recommend everyone to ask for this gentleman, No one else.

Although the facility update seems exceptional, I believe they need it to do business. We were in negotiations and agreed on a price on a specific vehicle they gave us a VIN # on. They told us the vehicle would be in any day now. Weeks went by. They didn't answer our calls and when they did, they told us there were "shipping problems." Finally, we put feelers out about the problem and came to find the car wasn't even in production yet!!! They were going to have us on the hook and lie to us for months!!! We bought elsewhere for the same price and at least they were honest with us and answered our calls and/or called us back. I would not recommend this dealership to my enemy.

I needed to lease a small car in order for my Mom to get in as she fell and broke her pelvic bone. I was Blessed to meet Bree (sales representative) and Jim (sales manager) on my visit. Within 60 minutes I had test drove, filled out paperwork, agreed on a fair deal and leased a car for pickup two days later. Both were professional, concerned, kind and compassionate. A wonderful experience!

I've been purchasing or leasing new cars for over 20 years. I've had 2 chevy trucks, 2 dodge trucks, 2 mazdas a jeep, and a dodge van. Leasing with prestige was by far my best overall experience ever. I shopped my tacoma at 3 other dealerships before going to prestige, so I had a good idea of the numbers. My saleswoman, Jody gave me the best deal without all the back and forth BS. I didn't tell Jody I was at other dealerships. I just told her what I wanted, we had a short negotiation, and she got back to me with a great deal. I greatly appreciated her honesty and not trying to get over on me. Jody isn't the only reason I loved the dealership. The few times I had to go to the dealership, Kevin was always at the front to greet me and make sure I was comfortable and having a great experience. During my waiting time to see the finance guy, which always seems like an eternity bc your about to get a new car, Kevin noticed we had something in common, sat next to me and we had a great conversation until the finance guy came out. Kevin made the wait time fly by. Now the finance guy, who everyone hates bc he takes your money. His name was Ray. I was very impressed with ray. First of all he was dressed properly for the part, like a professional business man from head to to. I even appreciated his manicured finger nails as he handed me 20 different documents to sign. In the past I've had finance guys that looked like they just did a service on a car. Ray was swift and very organized, he explained everything thoroughly. Best finance guy ever. Finally, there was Brandon. He was the tech guy who set up my bluetooth and explained every function of the truck. He was awesome! He knew every function of the truck inside and out. He took his time with me and made sure all my questions were answered. I really appreciated his patience. He even gave me his contact info in case I had any questions down the road. Great team. Great dealership, great experience. , A+++

They Could be less pushy trying to sell us a car and not make rude comments about what more is there to think about before buying a car? ...umm maybe it s the fact that it s a big investment and it s for a family and we want something dependable. Salesperson also stated it s just a commuter car and thats it . Who are you to say what this car is for for us?. Because of the rudeness at this place you lost a potential sale and customer. Keep comments to your self and help instead.

I bought my Prius there a year ago. Decent deal on a leftover. After receiving a reminder letter that it was time for service, I called the Prestige Service dept to get an appointment. After voice menu, one transfer and several minutes of horrid hold "music", the woman who picked up wouldn't give me an appointment without a VIN# ("in case my car had been recalled", she explained). Wut? Really?? After a moment of uncomfortable silence, she told me to call back when I had the appropriate information. So I called Glen Toyota instead. Their only question was "when do you want to come in?" Glen appreciated the referral.

I had to take my car here once while at work- Service light came on. They told me my car had a $5,000 issue that was not covered under warranty. I then paid to have it towed (just in case) to my usual Toyota location by my home. They checked it and showed NO issues. Has been running fine for 3 years now.
