We had our furnace serviced to ensure a nice warm winter! Our technician,Tako, was efficient and thorough in assessing the health of our system! He was even mindful regarding the cleanliness of our floors by wearing appropriate shoe coverings! My experience was with Chris Satterfield as repair person sent by Gillece to remedy problem I was experiencing with Air Conditioner when I Was testing it in anticipation of up-coming season. It did not work! I had that moment I imagine most of us experience when something we are dependent on breaks "If only I had a friend or close family member in heating and air conditioning business" well, if you don't as I didn't, you will find that person in Chris Satterfield. He got my air conditioning running as it should and left me looking forward to a comfortable summer. In addition to getting prompt service, it was more than reasonable in pricing and I now feel I have that "wished for" friend to take care of all air conditioning and heating problems should they arise. I purchased a new dishwasher from the local diy store and they could not install it. I called Gillece the next day and they sent Hal right away to install it. Hal was very professional and courteous!
I give 1 star because I have to in order to leave a review. So I scheduled an appt for Thursday, window was 12-4, they called changed to 4-8, they called again changed to next day, they call again, changed to later that day, here I am 3 days later, can't wash dishes or clothes, can't shower....yea screw these ppl! Good luck if you decide to call them!

Quote from a Gillece Manager "I don't have to give you my name...What are you going to do, file a class action law suit against me, ha ha ha" I've used their service two times in the past but I will never call on them again.
Gillece (Joe aka Joe the Plumber) was very informative and helpful with my sewer work in the basement of my home. Joe came out discussed everything in detail, went over financing and provided his personal number for any questions or concerns. Joe kept me informed on the work and progress and finished on time. Great work and I would definitely recommend hm to anyone for the excellent service he provided.
We had John B out to install a new pump for our well. Completely impressed with his knowledge. He was extremely sweet and kind, what a gem you have! You should be honored to have him on staff, I know I would. I will definitely use him in the future! 10 starts!
Joe and Eric at Gillece were so kind. They worked on a house that a purchased 2 years ago when I was 23. I had no idea what i was doing and Joe walked me through every step of the way. He made sure to save me money where he could because I get married in a few months. The whole process was just smooth running minus the unaccepted surprises when they got into the basement. I would suggest them to everyone!
$$$$ 415.00 to change one gfci electrical outlet , do not trust these people !!!!!! they take advantage of elderly people !!!! prices on billboards are bait to see who calls them , if you are older or do not know what kind of repairs you need , they will rip you off 100% . my 90 year old grandmother fell for their advertisement , she just needed a $12.00 gfci from a hardware store , it is only 5 screws to replace the part and was charged $415.00 . she even said the repair man was only at her house 15 mins .

Do not do not do not waste your time calling them. They will lie to you They will string you along And then they will disappoint you. Same day service for a replacement furnace on one that was 40 years old and needed a lot of work to repair properly. The service manager Ron was very honest and knowledgable. Once he helped me decide from various options, whether to fix or buy a new unit, including various financing options, 2 installers (Dave and Dave) came to install the new furnace that day. They worked very neatly and were extremely polite. Though my condo is a 4th story walk up, they did not complain or bemoan the stairs. They did an excellent job. I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because my old furnace is in the hallway and will need to be picked up for removal at a later time. Luckily the unit next to mine is vacant right now so this isn't too big of an issue. Overall an easy experience.
Steven Thompson - is the only plumber I will trust in my house. I had other companies come out, and no one took their time and did the quality work Steve did. He was honest with the pricing, stuck to his pricing throughout the process. He was so very professional, and incredibly knowledgeable - he took his time to explain the work he was doing and why it needed done. I would recommend him so highly to anyone and could not say more positive things about how trustworthy and professional he is.
Awful customer service. I had an appointment scheduled for Saturday between 12-4. I got a phone call at 3:45 saying they were still hoping to send a tech out but one wasn t available, and that I d get a call back. 4:30 call led to me rescheduling the appointment for 12-4 Wednesday. I had to call at 4 on Wednesday and speak to 3 different people before I was told a tech wasn t going to make it and they needed to reschedule, but weren t going to call me until they knew for sure he couldn t make it. Mind you, it s already after 4. I didn t reschedule and am calling another plumber.
This was first time calling Gillice. Tiffany the technician arrived at our house within hours of our call. She was professional,confident and showed expertise in handling our wiring problem. We highly recommend Gillece and Tiffany.

Great service! Our repairman, John, was very friendly, patient, helpful, and thorough in checking what problems we had, explaining what he could do for us, and fixing what needed to be fixed. Called for water heater issues @7:30A, dispatcher called back at 8A, and service tech Scott showed up just after 9A. Diagnosed problem (so did I), priced it, and got to it. Even with some unforeseen issues with ancient plumbing, he was done quickly. (Mind you, I was house sitting for a relative, so this service was extra appreciated.) Scott explained everything, was very professional, left things neat and tidy, and most of all, fixed! Thanks so much.
Colin Z was the best service technician I've met from Gillece. He was very professional, courteous and was very honest. He shared a lot of great information about our equipment and answered all of my inquisitive questions. What impressed me the most was the wealth of information Colin had. He demonstrated a great wealth of knowledge on brands, equipment and service. Colin certainly exceeded my expectations of the more "typical" service technician. Gillece wasn't my first choice for service after the less than desired experience when they installed my system a few years ago, but after today's experience with Colin, I'll be calling Gillece in the future. Now, if only we could be guaranteed to get Colin again!
As an added note, the customer service girl (Kelly I think?) was very good too. She called me every two hours with an update on when we could expect a technician. This was very much appreciated!

First time I had a woman do this type of work. Tiffany is excellent!!! Worked from time she arrived, explained all paper work, costs answered any questions I had. She certainly worked quieter than the Male who installed in my LR. Her work area was kept neat and clean. If there is a next time I will ask for Tiffany again. You guys watch out!!!!
Dave was here on the 17th to evaluate my water and plumbing. Dave is also very personable. He explained what he was doing in an understandable way. His work was done promptly. Dave explained that the shut off valves were rusted and required replacement. He also showed me the problem. I scheduled a day and time for Gillece to make the necessary repairs. We scheduled today to make necessary repairs. My experience with Gillece has been good and will definitely have them in the future. I will definitely recommend them to someone who needs their services.
Our heater stopped working on a bitter cold weekend evening. Gillece service technician quickly arrived (At night). Ours was old andthe technician showed me all of the damaged that needed to be replaced. It would be more cost effective for a new one. Because of the bitter cold conditions, he was on the phone and a manager came out (that night) and took the time to review all my options and provided us with the best solution and made it affordable! Their crew was here 1st thing in the morning and did not stop until job was finished, removal of old one and install new one, custom duct work and everything else. I was very immpressed with the service at all levels. Not easily done with me. Their work is top notch. I will continue to use and would highly recommend Gillece with any of their services offered.

Took complete advantage of my 75 year old mother in law!!!! She thinks they charged her $1000 for a part... But when I contacted them to dispute the charge I was told she was charged over $3000!!!! This isn't over!!!! She has dementia and is elderly!!!! You make me sick!!!! Btw this is the second time... She will never call you again and I will see you in court!!! She went without heat for two days in extreme cold temps after the tech left her house and then came back with a part????!!!! She could've had a new furnace for $3000 ... Her house is small.... DO NOT CALL GILLECE!!!!!

At my age of 79 years old and someone who always has a concerned as home owner about the level of repair and care being done to my home I am always careful and particular who I choice to provide services. The Gillece plumber, Mike D, performed with the highest level of skills, attitude and also kept me informed of every detail. That also is important to me. I must also must if Gillece has employed such a quality of workers, I have to be impressed with Gillece management and to rely on them as I no longer can do the repairs I use to do myself.

Want 1080 dollars to replace a kitchen faucet. 400 dollars for a faucet 680 for labor. Called two other company s they both want around 200 to 225. I pick up a faucet at Home Depot for 100 dollars and plumbers use that faucet. Total price was 324. Gillece is a total ripoff. Also got estimate from Gillece for a new furnace 7500 dollars. Got 2 other estimate both estimates were between 3500 to 3700. This is the worst company and scam artist I ve ever seen. I would never recommend them.
I do NOT recommend this plumbing company! They overcharged my mother for a simple faucet leak stating she needed a new faucet (which was less than 2 years old). The charge was $987.56! I contacted them to dispute this charge and was refunded $500. Make sure you read the contract, you have three days to cancel. We had also contacted this company a week before to have an outside faucet fixed and the amount was ironically $987.56! Consumers beware before you contact this company!
The customer service was really nice. However, the Hvac was a total jerk, would not give an estimate on the cost of repair. Basically told me that I need a new units and would not quote a price for the repair. Quoted over 10k for furnace and AC when I only need a circuit board replaced in the furnace. I would not go with these people, they will up sale you and take advantage of you. I also paid the guy 100 in cash and still never got my 5 dollar change. It doenst matter but just shows how they will steal from you.
Despite it being a beautiful Sunday AM, Gerry came within one hour of my call. He was polite and quickly solved the problem. He answered all of my questions and he is a great representative for Gillece.

We had two plumbing issues that appeared to us to be relatively simple, but beyond our do-it-yourself capabilities. Our shower regulator would adjust the water temperature upward, but not back down, requiring us to turn it all the way off and start over to get the right temperature. Also, the cold water faucet on our utility tub required three full turns before we could get the water to flow. Gillece came out, and without inspecting either item, told us that they both needed to be completely replaced with Moen products the shower regulator for $1300 and the utility faucet for $900. The four star Google average rating almost convinced us to use them. But we checked Yelp, and read many negative reviews. We paid their $65 call fee and contacted another plumbing company. Both of our issues were resolved within one hour and at a total cost of $262!! The excellent, ethical plumber from Matt Mertz Plumbing replaced the regulator in the shower, and tightened a loose screw on the interior of the utility tub faucet. That s all that was required. Gillece was going to rip us off for $2200 for two major jobs!!

David was an amazing tech, knowledge of the job,going above and beyond for concern for the customer, very professional. His helper Dylan also very good. Will request for David on any further HVAC jobs I need done. This young man is truly a bonus to your company reputation.
They came out to camera my sewer line to see what was causing a back up. They told me there were roots in the line about 20 feet out which I knew was not the case since the line was dug up a year prior and the run in reference was all cast iron with no issues. They showed me the video of the line, adamantly telling me there were roots. I replied that it was the debris in the line, not roots, and they kept to their story that what I was seeing was roots. I was told the cost would be over 7 TIMES higher than what I actually paid another company to repair the break in the line. The break was 100 feet out in the line and 14' deep and there were NO roots in the line anywhere. Gillece was quoting only 25' at a max depth of 5'. I would never call this company for anything they're overpriced and attempted to take advantage of an unfortunate break in a sewer line.
I was very pleased with Brandon's knowledge, skill and helpfulness. He was very nice and fully explained the process and procedure. I would definitely like to have him for any future service.
If I could give them zero star I would, these people are about as crooked as they come. Every time they walk in my house they tell me I need thousands of dollars worth of work. They must train there technicians to be salesmen. I regret the day they did any work in my home!! They couldn't unclog my drain and it was automatically going to cost 8-10 grand to fix the problem. I called another reputable plumber and paid $288 . These guys are a a joke.i wonder how they sleep at night being so dishonest.
Loved the Honesty and professionalism but was not happy with the price to complete the job, but I guess the truth hurts. Ron showed up on time and was all business. He showed us how the other guys (that were already here) were wrong in their reasons that our furnace was not working and proved it to us by making the furnace work but told us that it was only a temporary fix and we would need to get done the things he showed us were bad. I trusted his diagnoses and would have hired him today but I must see if I can get the funds before I do it on credit and time with Gillece. I will call them first if ever a problem
My basement started flooding, so we called Gillece to help. Jon check all floor drains with a camera and found a much bigger problem happening from outside of my house. Jon gave us multiple options to fix the problem but since our house is older, we knew the best option was to replace the sewer line. Harvey and his crew had it done in about a day a half and now we have nothing to worry about. Invest in your home with these professionals....not cheap chuck in a truck!
I've been wanting to amend this review for over year. While is true Gillece finished the job, it wasn't before they convinced me that two brand new dryers were defective because it just couldn't be the quality of their work, right? Well after two weeks of dirty clothes piling up in my house, I still didn't have a working dryer. Gillece kept insisting that It wasn't them. However after much prodding and arguing, I convinced them to try one final step that they swore wouldn't work, which was replace the entire line and not just to splice the line. But because they already charged me the quoted price for the "splice" they didn't want to replace the entire line and thus losing money. Well, when they replaced the entire line, low and behold the dryer turned on!! Gillece refused to believe the customer, continued to tout their decades of years of experience, when in fact they were wrong and the customer was right. This experience was completely stressful, unnecessary and costly. I retuned two perfectly working dryers because Gillece insisted it wasn't them. It was too much and frankly unbelievable. I'm not saying their work is always awful, but in this situation they put me and my family through so much just so they can save on cost and not abide by the misquote. Rough two weeks.
Both Dylan and Ron were friendly, knowledgeable and helped me make the best decisions for the services needed for my home s electrical and heating systems. I highly recommend them.
I couldn t be more pleased with my experience with Gillece. My quote was accurate and fair and the work was done perfectly in less than 24 hrs from my initial quote. I m looking forward to working with Gillece on my service contract that I purchased as well as additional work I d like to have done. My parents had a clog a few years ago without telling anyone & called this company. Gillece claimed the pipe was leaking through the kitchen ceiling & had the entire kitchen ceiling/walls demolished along with cabinets. They scammed my parents over 7k for a simple $100 clog that could of been fixed with a professional snake. These guys are the worst and scam artists. Do not call them for anything! You have been warned!
More like con artists than a business. Service guy increased the price 40% in the matter of 5 minutes once I had finished all the paperwork. Price during the next stage which was originally quoted as a few hundred jumped to $3k. I've called 3 times now to try to talk to a supervisor after the fact and, every time, someone 'will call back'. No response; do not use these people. Hopefully they will be out of business soon. Worst plumber in Pittsburgh.

We had a break in our drain line and the workers did a fantastic job. From the beginning it was professional, with knowledgeable workers who did everything they could to give the best quality products and service. Harvey saved us. He did everything he could to get the job done. He answered every question and kept us up on the progress. He went over and beyond. There was Tim and Bill and Joey. All who did a great job getting everything back to working order! They all get 5 stars ! The project is finished now. It all began with the input and guidance of Service Manager Ed Stamerra. These people are thieves and liars. Told me I had to replace my furnace for $7000. Called someone else and it was fixed for $125. Don t trust them. Techs work in commission so they grossly inflate everything
I m in the process of finishing my basement that had been roughed in by the builder when we originally built the house 2 years ago. I have done a ton of work on the home myself, I m very handy and would consider myself a very educated home owner when it comes to renovations. I worked for a construction company for two summers in the Northeast 15 years ago.
I called 4 plumbers for estimates to move some of the pipes around, rough in the plumbing, and eventually come back to install the fixtures. Here were the quotes:
*Local guy in Bethel (master plumber, fully insured) wanted to do time & material, open ended at $90/hour, would likely have cost $2,200-$2,500 by his estimate of hours *2nd Local guy in Bethel (master plumber, not insured) $2,200 *Local guy out of Sewickley (master plumber, fully insured) $1,800 *Gillece (master plumber, fully insured) $11,246.40 for phase 1 rough in, then another $2-$3K to install the fixtures
Gillece came up with a plan that was drastically over-complicated and was different than the 3 other plumbers. The original quote was $12K for phase 1 then they revised it after I explained that I m not stupid and this is roughly a $2K job. They offered to knock the quote down to $10,200 if I signed on the spot. Yeah right, boss! Kindly escorted the two reps out of my house.
I spoke to over 10 people about this experience and read a ton of reviews online, seems like this is common practice for Gillece. Really a shame especially for older folks who won t take the time to get multiple quotes and might think this is their only option. Get educated, do your homework, and use local companies. This is predatory behavior and it s not right. Stay away from Gillece!
We had a new HVAC installed at our home last year by Gillece. The great part about it was we were living in another state at the time and they managed the work professionally and fairly without us is residence. Extremely trustworthy and they thoroughly communicated with us throughout the process.
Now that we are back at home we are continuing to use their seasonal services for a system review and preventative maintenance. Of all the services and contractors we use Gillece is far and away the best. They communicate when they are going to be there and they show up as promised. If there are delays they call you. If they need a part they get it and return promptly, even if it is in the evening or the weekend. They get the work done!
We really appreciate their service technicians. They are kind, courteous, professional and explain in detail what they have done and ensure all of our questions are answered. It is great to know that we have someone on our team that we can trust. It seems that these days there are plenty of companies that say they can do the work but not many that can deliver. Gillece delivers!

I tried to call Gillece for some simple electric works and I was told because I was a renter of a house that they would not come for a service call even if my landlord was there. Despite spending thousands of dollars on billboards and advertisements, Gillece claims that they are simply "too busy" to service rental properties. This is discrimination again those of us that cannot afford to buy our own home and it is a completely unfair policy. I will not support this company in their attempt to extend class war by denying service to people that do not own homes.
