Scott Christian was the plumbing technician who came to service a very clogged shower drain. He was here exactly when they said he'd arrive. He wore a mask, gloves and plastic foot coverings and after assessing the problem, went to work. He was here for about 35 minutes, start to finish. Gillece is more than fair in their pricing for the service performed, but Scott was just fantastic. I highly recommend Gillece for any of your plumbing needs!
I requested Tiffany for some electrical work that needed done. The reason I requested her is because of all the positive reviews she had gotten. I was extremely happy with the service that was provided. She gave me multiple options to fix my issues. She was professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable. Our plumber Joe was incredible. He assessed our problem and sat down to talk to my husband and I. He was very knowledgeable and professional. Joe also helped us through the process of getting a loan to finance the work that has to be done. Overall, Joe was excellent.
Chad arrived on time , he explained what he was going to do after I explained what the problem was. The drain was cleared and Chad told me of some options to consider to prevent this from occurring again. I am very happy with the service call. He was very professional and pleasant.

I have never been this disappointed in my entire life. We went to home depot for a new kitchen sink and we asked if they did the install. They pulled up Gillece and said a Tech would contact us. The next day Gillece called us to schedule an appointment. The day of the appointment customer service called me at 9:30 AM and said our tech was running late and that he would be at my house in the late afternoon. I said that was fine. I took the day off so it didn't really matter. It was 5:00 PM in the evening and still no Tech from Gillece. I called customer service and the lady apologized to me and said my appointment was showing canceled for some reason and again she apologized. I was highly frustrated but was understanding and said that was fine and tomorrow would work.
Customer service called me and said the Tech was 30 minutes to an hour away. 2 and a half hours go by and no Tech yet. I call back and they do a GPS location on him and she told me he was within a few feet. Another 25 minutes go by and the tech shows up. He looked very overwhelmed and like he didn't even want to do the job. He was Very quite and was more worried with writing down the work order (Trust me we'll get to that part shortly). After him looking over the job (Old sink installed, New Faust and Garbage Disposal. ALL of which i bought. I had all the piping, etc.
He takes about 15 minutes and gives us a $1500 work order amount!!! I laughed right at him and said no way your serious. He went to his truck. Called his boss and they lowered the price to $1300. I said absolutely not. No way im paying $1300 for that.He then told us this was a "Full" day of work. What!? My wife almost thought it was a scam or he was taking advantage of us. We said no thank you. So he left.
I'm not a plumber but im having my bother in law help me since the price was absolutely ridiculous.
Please be cautious of Gillece i never in my life felt like i was being taken advantage of and to be charged $1300 was insane. Never again will i be called Gillece and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

My A/C went out on Thursday, and I reached out to Gillece Friday afternoon. Within a few hours of my call, I had a tech on site inspecting my A/C unit. Unfortunately I had to replace my system, however the two technicians (Rich and Tim) who came out the following morning made the transition as seamless as possible. were great, an they had things back up and running in no time. Definitely a big fan of the service that I received, and I will be calling Gillece for my future heating and cooling needs.

John was great in helping us. However, the shower continued to leak. Two months and 5 visits later, the shower is still not fixed. Multiple times they cancelled appointments. Multiple times they showed up 1+ hour late. A tech showed up not knowing what the issue was. Very dissatisfied, would not recommend.
Update - 7 months and 12 visits later, still not fixed. Steer as far away as you can from Gillece.
Stephen Thompson was punctual; knowledgeable about products offered by Gillese. Stephen diagnosed and solve our downspout water issues in 10 minutes flat. I will recommend Gillese.
The day of service went very well, Hal was very professional in all aspects. It took 3 attempts to get my appointment complete because no one was available and Gillece did not notify me of this until I called them back. I was set up on Sat, Sun and then on Monday Hal came and everything went very well once he was here.
10 For Steven Thompson.So I was helping my father sell his house but the city saw that I had a shift in his terra cotta sewer line and couldn t sell the home till it was fixed which we weren t prepared for I called 2 plumbing companies and both came out but wouldn t send a estimates amnth later I call Gillece and Steve came out someday gave me a great price and they started the next day everything they do is so professional .Things happen for a reason and now I m so glad it did 4days later work is done and I can move forward now.This Company Great trust me better then the rest
I cannot rave enough about my experience with Gillece Services. Ron H. showed up in the dark on a cold night when it was raining ice when my furnace decided it no longer wanted to work. From start to finish, this was the most professional, down to earth, straight forward, no gimmicks easy company I have EVER worked with-it was incredible. I don't write reviews, but this company, and Ron in particular, deserve a good review.
They installed a new furnace (at 3AM) to code as it SHOULD be done, and did not cut corners as they easily could have done to an unsuspecting new homeowner. They even went above and beyond to fix repairs made by other plumbers without any additional cost (I had just had a hot water heater replaced),and had no idea the guy cut corners installing it, until it was pointed out to me by Ron.
The pricing at Gillece at first appeared to be much more than others-however, I can promise you-you get what you pay for. They don't nickle and dime, its a one cost for the entire job, and the entire job done right the first time.
Colin responded promptly and professionally on Thanksgiving Day to fix our furnace. He had it running in 10 minutes, and thoroughly explained what the problem was. He said he'd follow up if it needed further attention. Highly recommend!
Don't know how these scumbags can sleep at night. Called for a 99 dollar drain clean, showed up and told me I had to pay 1600 to pull my toilet to do the snake process. SCUMBAGS IM SHOCKED TO SEE THAT THEY HAVE ANYONE GIVING THEM A GOOD REVIEW.
As always Ron did an excellent job. He was courteous and pleasant. He was thorough and provided information concerning upgrades I may desire in the future. I'm always pleased when Ron is the tech sent to my homer.
The service from the initial tech to the guys that completed the job was fine, but the customer service and the warehouse workers lack customer service. The trailer of excess dirt and the excavator sat in my driveway days after they completed the job to the county inspector's regs.
I only had to call several times to get a warehouse worker to retrieve the trailer and excavator. The job was completed on 1/22/18 and the trailer was finally picked up the night of the 25th. I had to help the truck driver find the hitch of his trailer. After telling him to go left, he went right and hit my gate that closes off the driveway. He then barreled down the driveway in reverse, hitting the trailer and knocking it off its blocks. I told him to leave and he refused telling me that he was going to get the trailer and that the gate would be fine. So after he finally got the trailer on after being there for 40 minutes, he blamed the slippery conditions and the small opening..... he clearly had no accountability. We called the company and demanded that the driver they sent would not return. We also asked for a phone call about when they would be back to get the excavator.
After calling several more times to get the excavator out of our driveway, the same driver as before arrived Sunday morning on 1/28/18 without calling. We were out Sunday morning and came home to find that the excavator had driven through our neighbors grass to get around one of our cars in the driveway. Our neighbor told us they looked outside and saw the man driving in their grass. They let it pass, track marks and all, because they knew how frustrated we were at this point with the equipment they had left. By the way, after the guy had the excavator loaded up, the neighbor told me it took the driver an hour to figure out how to chain it to the trailerr.
After I tampered down the track marks and torn up grass in my neighbor's yard, I tried to re adjust the gate back to where I had it before and found out that the gate and brackets are bent. Yay competency.
Had an appointment and they called and said they can't make it. The girl that called could care less about the inconvenience. Would rather pay someone 5x the going rate than ever call them again. #WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH

It's not his fault that he was a few hours past the 8-12 window the scheduler gave me. Nor is he responsible for the man he said would come afree 5 this evening, but didn't show up or call. We called Saturday evening and a real person answered the phone (Christina?). We called another big advertising plumber and got a VM. We booked Gillece Saturday and the other firm called Sunday while Steve T was here. Steve was courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. Price was a little salty for a $3 wax ring, but it was better than doing it myself. Thank you Steve T & Gillece!! BTW: 4- vie 5-star because no one is perfect; 4 is tops.

Steven Thompson Sr was at my house sept 21 2019 and fix my leaking Val that caused water to come into my living room he did it in such a small space behind my Pedestal sink I called another plumbing company before him and that plumber said that he had to rip out my pedestal sink my drywall and floor just to change a valve I looked online and gave the gillece a shot at it and boy I m glad I did Steve didn t have to do any of the things the last plumber said it was a hard job and a tight spot but he got the job doneSteve explain things to me in a manner that I could understand very polite funny nice guy I would definitely call and get him to come back again

Called on a Monday and a technician showed up a few hours later. He diagnosed our problem and set up a future appointment to fix it since it is a fairly larger job. Great customer service!! Water was leaking somewhere in my home and I couldn't find the source. So I called Gillece and Gerry H. came out and located the leak in a hose that had burst in my garage, the only place I hadn't checked. I felt so stupid but he didn't even laugh at me. He was very thorough looking all through my home and was only here for about 1/2 hour. I'm very grateful.

We were never informed of a $65 "trip fee" when we called to schedule them to come out but after showing up an hour later than promised and not touching anything they tried to get us to pay them. Refused to give us a quote for the actual work because the owner of the home wasn't present (again never mentioned that they needed to be present when scheduling them to come out).
The Google review is even a lie it says 1 one star many more compliments.Just purchased a home that they done work on lady paid 5500 dollars for heat tape job wasn't worth being paid 500 i have to redo a socal progression work
I'm sad you have to give the company 1 star, they dont deserve it. Call someone else. I contacted Gillece due to a clogged sewage line. Their representative came to my property used a camera in the line and told my wife and I that a traditional snake would not work and that they had to use a Hyrdojet which would clear the line unless the line was collapsed or broken and in that case we were looking at a major repair in the 10-20 thousand dollar range. The hydrojet was ordered at a price of 1900.00. The hydrojet came and attempted to clear the line to no avail. The next day a representative came back to the house, ran a camera and informed us that the sewer line was broken and we would have to dig and replace the line. This at 2-4 thousand dollars a day. Upon hearing this I called another plumbing company. They came to the house, used a traditional snake and the line was cleared in 1 hour for the cost of $165.00. The company (I am happy to provide the name) guaranteed the work for 2 months, assured us that the sewer line is not broken, it was just clogged. The new company also said that the hydrojet was the wrong application for our type of pipes. Upon doing some research online (home advisor) the cost nationally for hydrojetting is 300.00 with a highend of 600.00. I believe we were mislead throughout this entire process. First we were told that a traditional snake would not work. It did. We were told that the hydrojet would work, it did not. We were then told we needed a new sewer line. We do not. I also feel we were outrageously charged for the hydrojetting and it did not work. Honestly do yourself a favor and call someone else. I started asking other people if they have had a Gillece experience, and most Have! They are a known rip off company.
I had light switches replaced as well as an electrical problem fixed. Jay W was prompt, and friendly. His knowledge was exceptional in diagnosing my open neutral problem. Thanks for a great service.
I would like to renew a bad review I posted today I had a problem with the price on a job I had done. I contacted the company and within a hour Lindsey called me back and professionally fixed my problem. I will be using this company again in the future
Cancelled service. I was told that I would be receiving service on a particular day (Friday). They wanted to come an hour and half earlier, the only person available at that moment was a non deed holder (my adult son). So they said they would send the next available. When I called to see when someone was coming they then informed me that no one was coming. I was informed that they would send someone on Monday according to what "dispatch" had told the gentleman I was speaking to. After plenty of conversation I asked to speak to someone else which he told me he would have me talk to the Director of Operations. When I spoke to them I found out that I was speaking to Dispatch who the previous guy never spoke with. So he lied about talking to dispatch and then lied that I was going to speak to the Director of Operations who left an hour before my call. After not getting service and then lied to twice I cancelled them coming to my home. If they are going to lie like that before getting into my home what lies will they lie about then.

This is not a review of Scott Christian, the service technician, who was punctual, professional in his knowledge, and pleasant to talk to as a fellow human being.
This is a review of his estimate given on 10/23 in hopes that he is not the one who sets this absurd pricing structure.
A little over $8000...no not $800...$8000 to fix two simple leaks in a kitchen sink, and run new lines from easily accessible existing lines for a new washer and laundry tub with sink. Then, tie laundry tub and washer drainage into existing main which is clogged. Obviously unclog or snake the main which is advertised as a $93 special on Gillece website. Also to replace 3' section of plastic pipe on other main that kitchen and bathroom drains into.
Even the guy from Mr Rooter who came an hour later, who's estimate of $1200 for the same work (& admitted his was a little high, but that he has no control over his company's pricing structure) was shocked.
If its any consolation, after discussing for awhile, the price went down to $2000 if I left a few things out, but I want it done once and correctly.
My advice, stay self employed Scott if Gillece encourages or mandates these price gouging tactics!
Hot water tank Pressure Relief Valve was leaking. I was unhappy with a Saddle Valve for the Humidifier that had been installed By Gillece w/ Our New Furnace. Replaced Hot Water Tank Valve. Removed Saddle & replaced w/ a compression Add-A-Valve. Service was performed by Scott Christian. Very professional, Very Friendly, Very Efficient. Informed me of the work he wanted to perform prior to installation. Installations were carried out quickly and quality checked. I would HIGHLY recommend asking for Scott by name when calling to see if it is possible to have him perform what you need addressed. He single handedly restored my faith in Gillece.
Eric diagnosed a major clog in our main sewer line when had sewage backed up in our basement shower and zero flow from the house. the power snake could not clear it so a $1500 high pressure power flush was required. through the entire process, Eric showed me the camera video and explained in clear terms what we were dealing with. he was very experienced and never made assumptions or promises. i am a mechanical engineer, and while in no way do i pretend to be an expert on plumbing, i always felt confident what i was being told was the truth.
yes, it was expensive, but our sewer was fixed in less than three hours. this included having the high pressure power flush truck come (Chad was the technician). the two of them were professional, courteous and made sure to not damage anything while protecting the floors with heavy plastic sheeting. when finished they cleaned up and we had very little work to do other than a light mop of floors and vacuuming.
i don't know if the price i paid was average, higher or lower that normal, but i am very glad to have had Eric facilitate the job. he is very very good at what he does.
My kitchen sink was backed up and completely stopped draining. I called Gillece and they sent someone out right away. Scott C. fixed the clog and gave me recommendations on how to keep it from happening in the future.He was great! I definitely recommend Scott and Gillece to anyone looking for plumbing services.

Thanks! At the last minute I was scrambling to find someone to come out the same day thank goodness I was able to find someone. So for Plumbing request my stars would be ZERO!!!
Steven Thompson Sr amazing .had a sewer break no getting around that the work they have to do to fix this is unbelievably hard and expensive but Steve helped me on the price had my sewer back working by next day with a temp line while they fix it so I could use it. This company is HORRIBLE!! Don t ever use them! Their jobs cost thousands of dollars more than the competition! I spent $8,000 and still had to have someone re-do their work! Buyer beware!!
