I would highly recommend A#1 air, my heater was not working, their technician Sam was fantastic, turns out the flame sensor just needed to be cleaned and tightened, they did not try to sell me parts that weren't needed. Honest company which is hard to find these days. I would recommend these guys to anyone needing work done on their A/C or heater

I had a new unit put in about 9 months ago. Since it's just an old house there had to be special things done. They came back out today to solve a couple more issues. They are quick and polite. Wish things would be perfect the first time, but when they aren't everyone works really hard to make things right.

The install technicians never wore shoe covers in my house and ended up leaving behind duct work in our attic that should have been removed by them.

The techs accidentally left behind the receipts and I am furious with how much they overcharge. I paid over $12k for less than $3k worth of parts and it was two guys who did the install. Even though they did a great job, I doubt they got to take home much.

I get that everyone has to make a profit but this was a rip off. Posting these photos in hopes others will see how much A#1 Air is overcharging for a new AC system.

I also feel they should be honest and advise potential customers that technicians are actually sales persons who don t necessarily have your best interest in mind. Never received a follow up call from management to even check if I was happy with the work.

The condensation drain line is now leaking over my bathroom and has ruined the drywall. I called the customer service number provided by the owner and no answer. I had to call the main office and have a technician come out.

I was told on the phone this would be fixed today and now the technician is telling me he doesn t have all the equipment.

Management just skips town on the weekends.

Had a new AC unit, hot water heater and air duct cleaning March of 2018. The AC has condensation dripping constantly on my floor ( that my old AC never did) and when winter came and I turned on the heat much to my surprise the unit sounds like a small plane is taking off. I just chalked it up to I made a bad Decision but it is what it is . When they installed the hot water heater they had to come out a second time to Bring it up to code and put in an emergency shut off ground stop attached to the tank and in the pan. I didn t think anything about when they said it was fixed and we all went on with our lives. Until today, I woke up this morning (a Saturday ) to find we had no hot water pressure whatsoever. I called them to set up a service call and was advised they did not have any emergency plumbers On call for weekends and they could get somebody out here on Monday. I told them my family could not go until Monday without a shower or hot water. So I called another plumber and much to my surprise the hot water heater was not installed properly. The cut off ground stop they installed that day they came out was supposed to be plugged into an electrical outlet and have batteries for back up in case of electricity loss. No one told us this of course so guess what happens when the batteries go dead, it shuts OFF the hot water heater. I m guessing they bypassed that step of the instalation because that would have required them to get an electrician to install another plug and that would cut into their profits for the job the installation was included. I generally do not write reviews but I felt I had to because I feel like I was taken advantage of. I paid a lot of money for these products and there was plenty of profit that was made for them to have cut this corner. Now it makes me wonder If they cut other corners when they installed my AC unit which I won t find until later. So before you use this company make sure you get plenty of alternate bids and don t be as trusting as I was that people will do the right thing.

The entire team from the call center to the service technician was excellent. The call center called me twice to update the time of the technician's arrival. The technician was friendly, knowledgeable, and straight forward on the issue and the repairs. Given the late hour of the night, he followed up on the units the next day and showed up when he said he would. Totally satisfied with the team and will use them again in the future.

I can not rave enough about Luis at A#1 Air. He is the ONLY reason we use A#1 Air. His service is the Best and Highly Professional. He communicates what he does and what is needed very clearly! I am very pleased with prompt response I received from A#1 across the board. Within 3 days I selected and they installed a completely new system. I elected to purchase a 16 SEER unit with a very good service plan. The new system replaced a 16 year old system that I have been nursing along for the last 5 years. I should have replaced it 5 years ago and not wasted so much money and time. The new system cools 100% better and wow have we been tested this year! Had a slight problem with the 2 stage system but A#1 was quick to respond and correct. I am very pleased with the selection, installation and service I have recieved. I feel I made the correct choice.

UPDATE: It has been 24 hours since I have voiced my concerns and I have still not recieved a call back from A #1 Air.

When we first called A#1 Air we had asked them to come after 7pm due to our work schedule. We recieved several calls confirm that they were still coming but never showed. At 12:30Am we recieved a call saying a tech came by and no one answer. We decided we would reschedule. We had A#1 Air come look at our AC 2 days later and was told everything needed to be replaced and would cost us around 10K. That being said, we got an second opinion and they said only a few things needed to be updated. Since we have warrently for our upstairs, we asked them to please come do our parts warrently. The same guy, David came out and told us again that everything needed to be replaced and could only do the coil. He also mention that our upstairs unit was set up wrong and our outside equipment and attic set up do not go together. We told him Air 1 did all of our install and he quickly denied it. After he left my husband and I went up into the attic to find it a complete mess. Our gas vent was in pieces, our evap coil was barely in, the paneling for the coil was on the floor and screws and bolts were all over the place. Seeing this, I took pictures of our mess. We had our second opinion come back out to fix our AC and confirmed that parts that were not broken before are now broken and additional work is going to be needed to fix this. We are extremely disappointed in our experience with A#1 Air. I have also called their customer service line and have not recieved a call back. We have spent a lot of money for A #1 Air to come to our house, care more about making a sale, make damages to our home, then charge us for it.

Do not do business here! They have great sales people and do good installing new air conditioners. But after spending $34k they cannot bother to send a technician out. We have waited two days because the new units are not cooling the house down like the old units did. And all we get is a call every two hours saying that technicians are in the area and will call when they are 30 minutes out! They cannot even give us an update on where we are in a queue! Asked for a manger to call and nothing yet. Very disappointing.

One a/c unit was working fine and the other was not blowing cool air. The service man said it needed about $1000 for 2-3 parts but it would not be worth repairing. He told me I needed two completely new systems priced at $17k-$24k. Then he just talked about financing the new systems and even asked if he could to run a credit check. He did nothing to fix the unit and did not even identify the issue. Just selling new systems!

They told her it sounded like her compressor was going out when they started the system up and she would need a new system soon. It would cost about 10k. She told them the entire system was just replaced four years ago and if she would really need an entire system. They told her yes she would. Sounds like a commissioned tech trying to make their pay check in the slow season. Shame on you.

I've been using A#1 Air for a couple of years now. Twice I had to call after 6PM to report the A/C was not working. Both times a technician showed up ***THAT*** night to fix the problem. The rates are reasonable. The tech's are pleasant and know what they are doing, so the appt are not that long.

My experience compared to other bids is first rate. I will recommend this company and Kurt to my friends. I was happy to do business with a company that has a 'family' type vibe.

His recommendations to improve our system, ducts, and the house insulation were definitely unexpected and way out of budget but I'm sure sales is part of the job description too. What I am not at all impressed with are the games that A#1 Air plays with long time customers.
Firstly they want to replace a component that is not broken or malfunctioning and their quote - almost $300 and I have a service contract with them that is supposed to give me a discount. I checked the part online and Lennox have it for around $30... others online around $22.
A#1 Air refuse to honor my Lennox Extended Warranty (the Lennox A/C unit is 6 years old and it covers repair for 10 years on parts and labor.) I went through this run around with them back in November when I needed to have my coil replaced. I called then and left message after message (8 total) and no-one ever called me back. I ended up having to ask another AC company to do the repair work and they got paid fully by the warranty company.
I am sick and tired of getting ripped off by A#1 Air. They can consider me an EX-customer.

A#1 air was able to come out the same day, even though it hit 106 degrees outside. I tried a few other companies who either wanted to charge more or set appointments for at least a week out.

My service tech was friendly, and able to describe the problem in lay terms. He was able to fix the unit quickly and did not try to pressure me into purchasing a new unit.

My house is now cooling off. I would recommend this company if you need to have your system serviced.

Bryce was one of the best plumbers we have ever worked with. He examine our issue thoroughly, asked a lot of questions, and explained out issue in detail. Though their service may cost a bit more than others, he broke everything down. Both friendly and professional, I'd recommend him to anyone. We have been using A#1 for electrical and HVAC work for years and have not been dissapointed in their quality and the fact I can call them almost any time of day to discuss making an appt is great.

My mothers A/C system is on its way out so i called A#1 Air to have the system replaced..The day of install we were told the unit they brought out was not properly sized and may not cool the house ,this was after a salesman came out a week earlier to get info so system could be properly sized .I was given two options.... sign off to install the undersized unit or keep using my old unit.

I cannot tell how upset I was with this company, who in their right mind would sign off on spending thousands of dollars on an undersized unit for their retired moms' home that may not work properly?

We called at 12:45 on 8/29/20. We were put on the call list and after 2 calls throughout the day to check on the status of our wait time we were never given an estimated time of arrival. He didn't show up until 10:30 pm. He trouble shot the outside ac unit by replacing the capacitor which got the unit running. After checking the attic unit he said that the coils were rusted and leaking leaving the unit low on freon which caused the capacitor to stop working? He also priced us a new unit for a long-term fix. I called another guy for a second opinion and he was unable to confirm any of what this guy had said. The a#1air guy had even shown me pictures of the rusted coils from his phone which my ac guy said he didn't see. All and all the a#1air quote ran from about $500-10k. When all I needed was a $20 capacitor from the hardware store...

A #1 Air has been servicing my HVAC unit for several years. This morning Abdiel B. was out for the six month check up. The service he provided was excellent. Not only was he knowledgeable, but he was very patient with all my questions about the unit. I will be asking for him to come back again next time. Thank you!!

Paid $99 for a sales pitch. As soon as the two guys got out of their truck they were asking how long I plan to stay in the house to see if they could amortize a new system. Then they hooked up the manifolds and misdiagnosed it with a bad coil in the air handler and said for sure needs a new system for $7k on a 4ton unit. Had a second opinion and had the outside condensor unit fixed within 4 hours and $600. Id be happy to pay $99 for someone to actually diagnose my system, but thats not what I got, I got a 30
minute sales pitch.

I was very happy with their pricing and service. After the sale tho.... I had damage to my home from the install and it has been very difficult to get them to communicate with me. It has been 5 months since I first reported the issue. They repaired most of the damage, but left part of it unaddressed.

It has been over 30 days since I last heard from them.

Update: while communication can be a little slow sometimes, they do follow up once you get their attention.

I am grateful they do take responsibility for any unforseen issues and am happy they assisted getting my home back to normal.

I gave them a star because I could not post without selecting a star. So, my official vote is zero stars. I made an appointment with A#1 Air to get work done before the next freeze as that would cause significant damage and cost. The appointment was confirmed by A#1 Air. The day of the appointment, they called to reschedule and as my wife was speaking to me about the issue, they hung up on her. This is the worse most disrespectful experience I've had with any company, ever.

Here's the longer story...on Wed 4/23 we called on a company that we have done business with for over five years to look at our AC unit that was not cooling. We had spent over $20k with this company over the years and felt we had a good relationship with them, even with some "drops" during that time, they always said the right things and made up for their mistakes with excuses and refunds. They have grown into a rather large company spending what I can only assume is huge dollars on advertising on TV and radio. Their guy shows up earlier than we were planning, so my wife had to leave work early and race to the house. Once there, the technician spent less than 30 minutes before he came in and said, "you want the bad news, or the worse news?" Your units are too dirty to even try and clean (not true), and you need new coils in the attic. How he knew that without even coming in the house, much less to the second floor attic, is amazing! He explained my wife needed to pay $690 to find the issue, then that would be deducted from the cost of replacing the coils. Remember, he had not even seen the coils!!! Long story a little shorter, my wife called me, I spoke with the guy who apparently feels women are pushovers, and asked him how he knows there is an issue with the coils. He said, "it's always the coils...". I told him to leave and called the company and asked them to refund any money I spent towards that call. I was very angry on many levels.
Driving home that day, I heard your ad on The Ticket and thought about calling, but was nervous about what it may cost, and if we could not trust a company we had already spent so much money with, how could we trust A#1? When I got home my wife showed me one of your print ads and said she had checked your reviews and while it might not be cheap, she felt your reputation would be worth trying.
We made the call on Wed night and scheduled an appointment for Thursday after we closed.
Rudy Oregon arrived, he explained what his process for checking things out would be, and invited me to watch and ask questions along the way. He arrived around 8:00pm and Rudy and I said goodbye around 2:45am. He checked everything and when I was ready to give up, he said, "we will find it, it is here somewhere". At about 2am, he found it...a valve had unseated and was leaking so little, his sensor could not pick it up. He used soapy water to find the bubbles coming out of the leaking valve!!
Before he left, I signed up for maintenance for both units and made a commitment to send this note (essay) to say "Thank You!!!!"
My wife and I are so glad for people like Rudy that don't just go for the easy, they work for the "right"! I am exhausted, but think about us being Rudy's 7th or 8th call yesterday and he never acted like our issue was interfering with his day.
You have a great member of your team and we look forward to building a relationship with A#1 Air as we move forward because of people like Rudy who literally make it "Right, Day or Night"!!

A#1 Air and their employees are ONE OF A KIND! I recently had to replace my water heater and the experience could not have been made more seamless! The customer service was very quick to respond and very polite. The plumber assigned to my order, Sam, was very professional throughout the install and kept the area very clean where he needed to replace the tank. When finished, Sam helped me understand exactly how to use the water heater, provided my warranty information, and his personal contact if I needed anything. If you are looking for a great service for an affordable price ----- this is your one stop shop for all your HVAC/plumbing needs.

Great technician - very personable and did his work with respect to our property. I felt like we had a guy who knew air conditioning backwards and forwards so in other words I felt entirely comfortable buying a complete new system. The guys name was Cameron and he was excellent! The people that answer the phones are very pleasant too which is unusual nowadays. So far so good - I will write another review when we get Air Conditioning Again!!

We were very impressed with Alan's professional service. He is such an asset to your company . He diagnosed the problem and had the parts on his truck and replaced the part in a short period of time and got my air conditioning back in service.

We moved into our house in Feb. 2019 and set up a maintenance contract with A #1. Someone came out in the spring for regular maintenance, and again in November for winter maintenance. The guy who came in November let us know that we had the incorrect size air filter in our unit, and because of that, we now needed to have our interior unit s coil and blower fan cleaned, along with a full duct system cleaning for a minimum of $2,000, but $4,000 for the recommended package. Why was the air filter not flagged to us during the spring appointment? No one could tell me, but it seems like it was intentional so they could come back a few months later with this outrageous recommendation. We had another company come out to give us a second opinion before spending thousands of dollars, and were assured that our blower fan was cleaner than most and our duct system did not need cleaning unless we were noticing hot or cold spots in the house (we weren t). The second company also noticed that our exterior unit hadn t been properly cleaned, that it had only been cleaned at the top, not cleaned out from the inside, too. The only thing A #1 told us that was correct was that the interior coil did need cleaning, which was because of the incorrect air filter that they didn t flag sooner. Needless to say, we cancelled our contract with A #1 and gave all of our business to Samm s - I d highly recommend looking into them if you d rather have an honest company that isn t trying to rip you off handle your HVAC needs.
