Jordan and Randy found a very small leak in the compressor coil of one of my units that took 3 months to lose its refrigerant. The coil was apparently damaged by the use of an incorrect screw during manufacture. They replaced the coil and verified that there were no other leaks.They were very professional, kept all appointments at my convenience, and kept me informed of their ongoing progress of obtaining and installing the replacement coil. I'm completely satisfied with the installation, operation and support of my Lennox HVAC units A#1 has provided.

My compressor went out after 7 years of having my unit. Danny came out and was a huge help in making sure my warranty was honored and very quickly got us back into the cold air. Continually wonderful experience with A#1 Air and Sam A. He s super relatable and fun. He makes sure to get the job done right, even when I throw curveballs his way. He s not afraid to sort through the mess to get the unit clean and remove the gunk and questionable rodents who met their demise in the unit. Sam does a solid job of laying out all the options I have for keeping up with the unit and also new opportunities/products/services that might benefit us. He truly cares about the customer and clearly enjoys his work. We were told we d lower our electric bill ($390) when we got a new unit, but I was skeptical. Sure enough, same hot summer but our bill was only $185!!! I m sold, man. Solid work and solid company.

I have some Nest equipment in my home, one of which being the Nest Smart Lock, the other being the Nest Thermostat. This company claims to have 'Nest Professionals' that work for them however I have never had a good experience with them. The first time the guy was over at my house for close to 6 hours maybe more trying to fix my lock and he left without it ever being fixed. He essentially said I don't know, gave up, and never heard anything again. A few days ago I called to have someone come out on Friday to fix my Thermostat. They won't give you a window of time for when they're coming. So I block off the entire day to have this appointment. At 8:30 PM they call and say their driver is on the way he should be there in a half hour. An hour and 15 minutes goes by and its now almost 10:00 and nobody has showed up. I cancelled off my entire day and you couldn't even make the appointment. Unbelievable. This company is terrible, at least when it comes to the Nest side of things and scheduling.

Called A#1 Air to get a quote on 2 new Unit installs. Appointment was set up for 11:30 AM and got a call and said it would be an hour and they would be there. OK, i can accommodate this, however had to call after 1 hour and 20 min and i was told they were 20 min out. I said have to reschedule for 2 PM which was OK by them because i had other companies who were showing up on time and. It is now 2:30 and i now have to call them back and the comfort specialist still has not answered the office back. So the solution was to call him again and if he did not answer then they would get someone else out here. Not much of a solution. What should have been said hours before is we will have someone else out at 11:30 when the appointment was for. After reading reviews i see why this is happening. What even concerns me is that the response to the not so good reviews was we are looking into this. My suggestion is if you respond to a bad review then you should post resolution so that people know you follow up and care. I am just in sales process and already feel like they do not even care. I see a lot of good reviews also but normally you have a few negative with the good and since a good resolution was not give to me but to make me wait longer i decided not to even do business with this company. A #1 air you may want to focus a bit more on customer satisfaction as if you cannot even get a quote on time then how can i expect you to manage a project. Told me I didn t have dampers (I do) and that they couldn t fix the issue I have with one room because of it. Cost me $158. Had to get another AC company to come in and fix the problem by adjusting the dampers I knew I had. Cost me another $80. They took 10 mins to adjust the issue. It s says 1 star but it s really 0 stars. Stay away from them. Bad things and bad news

I was very pleased with the knowledgeable engineer who inspected my A/C system and provided an estimate for replacement. He helped me to understand the choices I had in terms of the technical side of things. The installers were punctual and polite and took great care in making sure the appearance of the piping, wires etc were neatly installed. Pricing was in line with all 6 other estimates. Financing was hassle free. I would recommend this company.

I have been A#1 customer for close to two years now. Every time i have a problem with my HVAC system, they have resolved the problem to my full satisfaction. Thanks to David Carter for coming out late last night. Unfortunately he was unable to repair my unit due to the following notes on my receipt.
Pulling 26 amps,unit rated for 23.9 amps.
Bad defrost board and contactor.
His recommendation was to replace unit at an estimated 8800 to $10,000.

I had another company come out today and found a loose thermostat wire and some moisture in an overflow float. Presto. Unit comes on and is working fine. Pulling 14.6 amps with board appearing ok and contactor showing some burn around contacts but working fine so far!

Had our spring service appointment fortunately everything was great. We had an afternoon service appointment scheduled, but we got a call to see if the technician could come earlier. This was perfect for us and it freed up the rest of our day.

Samantha was very professional and personable. The weather was horrible; pouring rain all day, but she took it in stride without complaint and got the job done inside and out. She didn t mind me looking over her shoulder while she was checking out the system which was nice for me to learn something new. She offered some suggestions regarding our system, but there was no hard sales pitch or pressure to buy anything. She was confident in what she needed to do. She did not rush through our service, nor did she waste time getting things done. From my standpoint we could not have received any better service. A# 1 Air has always been consistent providing exceptional service from start to finish. Today was no exception. Thank you Samantha for your time, service and expertise.

This place is all about up-selling you, whether you need it or not. If you call for an estimate, they ll send out a highly-trained, highly-motivated salesperson. I called for a simple duct-cleaning estimate, and they sent out this slick-willy salesman who clearly had his own best interest at heart. I ll give him this: he was a convincing salesman. He lied with a lot of conviction, which is what made me so angry. I fear for elderly or otherwise vulnerable people who will get robbed by these people because they don t have anyone else who can provide an objective opinion. As soon as he arrived, he made a b-line for my attic to inspect the system he clearly had no interest in performing a duct cleaning. I made the mistake of mentioning that my humidity had been too high lately, and that was all he needed to try to tell sell me the moon. The humidity issue ended up being that we d accidentally left the fan running, and simply turning the fan off fixed the issue. Apparently turning off my system fan saved me over 8 grand.

This guy gave me three estimates (actual estimate attached to this review):

1. The best option for $8,181. (Not far off the price of a brand new HVAC system by the way.)
2. A mid-level option for $5,358.
3. Their bare-bones option at $3,990.

And of course they were pushing the financing option, which makes them even more money on interest. I asked for DUCT CLEANING mind you. Instead he tried to sell me a re-seal of my entire system and a bunch of other stuff I don t need. Luckily for me, my brother is a very accomplished HVAC professional (who unfortunately doesn t live on the mainland U.S., or he d have done the work), and my brother was able to verify that the estimate was a complete scam.

When I called for 24/7 They didn't had anyone to send to my home. This was my first experience , We have gone through terrible pain during this time. Paid 12k for new unit 5 yrs ago. They have been out every year, sometimes twice to fix something. Every time they find something and fix it, yet the unit never seems to work proper in the heat. Needs repair again.....Do not Trust A#1

I m super disappointed with my experience overall ...

I m super disappointed with my experience overall and would not recommend this company. An expensive replacement of my furnace was recommended when my air stopped working. The guys who replaced my furnace did not wear masks or any shoe protectors (this was the beginning of June, deep into Covid), damaged my hardwood floors and door frame while taking out the old furnace, and then installed the furnace improperly. I only found that out when, 5 days later and my air stopped working again, another awesome technician Michael (the only bright spot in my whole experience) came out and told me about the problems with the furnace install. A new, different problem (another $1000 repair) was diagnosed and had to be fixed. To their credit, when Michael called the company on my behalf to express my concern that additional repairs were suddenly needed after a very expensive repair, they did discount the second work by about 40%, which was appreciated. But then I was told I had to have an inspection of the furnace after correct installed (several hours of missed work to be home for the improper installation repair) and A#1 Air reportedly scheduled the appointment with the city inspector for a specific date and time. Stayed home and missed work for three hours at that designated date and time and, when no one showed after the three hour window, I called the city and was told the company didn t finalize the paperwork for the inspection so it was never assigned to an inspector. I have reached out to customer service and asked to speak to a person in management and asked for a discount on the first repair due to it being done incorrectly, the damage to my home, and the missed work for an extra appts and an inspection that never did happen because of an error on the company s end, but have not received any response in now almost two weeks. I m only giving two stars because at least one of their techs is great and my a/c now works after all of this hassle.

Manuel went way above and beyond to help me find a solution that would fit my budget, and when Nathan and the rest of the install crew showed up the next day they were all so respectful and polite. They worked very quickly and efficiently to get me cool again. From start to finish everyone I interacted with showed exceptional customer service. I would 100% recommend this company.

In 2015 A#1 installs a new A/C system in my sister's condo for $6,000. I'm thinking not a bad deal, we had them out to our house 2 years later and paid $10,000 for the system they put in our house. Fast forward to a few weeks ago. My sister calls and tells us her A/C is out. We say, that should be under warranty call A#1 back out and have them take a look at it. They come out and find that her drain line is stopped up so they flush it and are gone after spending about a half hour on site. They charged her $59 for the service charge (understandable) and then $390 for flushing the drain line. That seemed a bit high. Are there parts involved for that kind of service. Doesn't seem like there would be, seems a bit pricey for less than an hour of work. I would think that the $59 covers the sunk costs of having to get a tech out to a job site. After that I would think charging for actual hours (or half hours) spent on the task would be reasonable. But maybe I'm not being reasonable. Or maybe the going rate for an HVAC technician is $780/hour.
But that isn't the end of our story. Yesterday my sister calls and tells me that her A/C isn't working again, and that since the tech came out the system has become less and less effective every day. So, we call and have A#1 air out once again. I talked to them myself this time and they warn me that if the issue is not related to the original call there will be another $59 service call fee. It was no surprise that they charged the $59 again. But the new diagnosis is a leak in the coils and the charge to fix for labor alone, because parts are under warranty is $6000. It would have been $2,000 had the labor still been under warranty. Ouch. Why do they even bother to warranty parts without labor. And I guess it's going to take them 7 and a half hours to do the work. I'm basing this on their $780 hourly rate, but I'll spare everyone the math.
This may not be an unusual story for this company. I don't know. But, I feel as if my sister has been taken advantage of. You be the judge.

Service was fast and excellent. Both installers (Jose and Guillermo) were very pleasant and polite. They were understanding that I had a baby who needed to nap at certain times and worked around that. The nicest thing was that I forgot to offer my coupon that I had before finalizing financing, but our comfort advisor, Alan, went to work for us and was able to get us a refund for the amount of the coupon! We were very pleased with the service.

I have been using A1 for going on 4 years now. When they say that they will make things right, this is a 100% the truth. I have used them for HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical work. Each time they have gone above and beyond to make sure I was happy. Brian Yarboro is one of their most outstanding employees. He listens and is empathetic to customers needs. I cannot speak highly enough of his dedication both to customers but to A1 as well. If I ever have a need, he is top notch in making sure that the the job is done right, on time, the first time. I am very thankful to A1 for not just the quality of work but their dedication to their customers. With my highest regard thank you to A1 and Brian.

Casey C was our technician for a routine maintenance check today. I would like to compliment A#1 Air in having this gentleman on their service team as well as Casey himself. Casey was amazingly professional, informative but not overbearing, easy to discuss things with and answered all my questions, provided options to work within our budget. No big sale for Casey today, but he is a perfect example of why we choose to give this company our hard earned money when we are in need of their services. Thank you A#1 Air and thank you, Casey. We called to ask the price for an AC service. They wanted to charge an extra $150 (total $250) since our house is on the market due to liability . Not sure what increases liability the company has just because the house is on the market. I think that s a big money grab and pretty dishonest. We ended up calling a competitor (AC Repair Guys Lake Worth), they charged us their normal rate of $59. Glad I decided to call around instead of paying $250 for a $59 service.

This company is truly A#1. They went above and beyond to make the unpleasant experience of having a total HVAC failure in the middle of summer, end pleasantly. It all started with a complete failure of my a/c compressor at 8pm on the 3rd of July. I think HVAC systems are designed to fail on holidays and weekends, right? Anyway, that didn't matter to A#1. They came out to my house on the 4th of July, at no additional cost, to review my situation and show me, in detail, what had happened to my system and what was needed to get me up and running again. The very next morning they were back at my house and by that afternoon I had cold, wonderful a/c again. So in only a short 48 hour period, that spanned across a major holiday, A#1 air had my HVAC system up and running again. The best part, they performed quality work and used quality products, and the cost was below my expectations. A#1, you have a customer for life!

Quincy arrived in the morning to check the system and provide estimate initially but decided to have them replace the 18 yrs + old unit once he said they can do it on the same day and after agreeing to the price for a 4 Ton, 17 SEER system. At 1PM the installation guys of Oniel and Danny arrived and started laying out the protection for the flooring and they worked till 9PM to complete the job to ensure we comfortable that night with the new A/C working.
Suggestion: It would be good business practice that someone should come the following day to double check the work and explain to homeowners how to operate the system efficiently. Also explain how often homeowners need to clean condensate drain trap/overflow switch to prevent clogging which could result to water damage.
The Flexible ducting is somewhat unsatisfactory to me as I see sagging of the ducting system but have ordered material to add and ensuring straight airflow and lessen air resistance in the flex ducting.
Overall, I am happy with the new 2-stage system and envision energy savings.

Everyone that I have meet from A#1 have been very professional and helpful. From the people who answer the phones to the personnel who perform the service work have been outstanding to work with. I initially had a plumbing problem in which Jeff L and his assistant came out to perform the work on a water heater problem. Jeff and his assistant where great. They diagnosed the problem in short orderr, suggested several solutions. They answered all my questions giving a pro and con evaluation to each possible solution. They were very patient knowing that the solution was going to be expensive to correct, never pressuring me during the time I was making my decision. I would recommend A#1 to anyone who has a plumbing or air-conditioning problem. I would also like to acknowledge Dane J who did an outstanding job informing us about new A/C units and even came out the next day to explain to Miguel and his assistant the plan that we had come up with to install the two new A/C units. Dane gave us great advice and continued to check up on the progress of the installation throughout the day. Miguel and his assistant did an incredible job. I was not able to be there during the installation but when I came home they had installed two units (one upstairs and one down stairs) in our home. I couldn't believe how fast they had completed their work and the units looked and performed flawlessly. The clean up that they performed looked like they had never been there. Sherry and James, it is very evident that you have spent a great deal of time, money and effort into hiring, and training your employee's into what true customer service is all about. Had A#1 Air called and asked if I wanted to do a spring checkup and service, I agreed.
I told them my units were located on my roof two stories up. They came out and had to reschedule twice once because ladder was not tall enough and second one the ladder was broken.
After having both units looked at as I have two trane units eight years old I was told that I needed both condensing fan motors replaced on outdoor units and a blower motor replaced on inside unit.
I was told that it would cost $ 2,787.00 but they could finance for 138 months at 10 percent.
I just bet they would finance for ten years...that was first red flag.
I had several other companies come out for a second opinion and every single one said I did not need any of these items replaced. I finally had a family owned company do my repairs which turned out was only a capacitor on one of the outdoor units at a cost of 175.00 which included a few other minor things such as moving a overflow pan switch and a few other issues that A#1 air rep never saw or reported

Best, most trustworthy group of people to work with. +++ excellent communication a out the process. Everybody knows what they are doing and are very honest about telling you what you have to work with and what you could have to make your system work better. I ended up going with a new ductless mini split system and Dane was a great guide in making that happen. No pressure sales. Victor Perez and his team were so careful and skilled at installation and fitting the line channel pieces on the outside and always cleaning up behind themselves. There was never a mess like you would expect on a big job like this one. Manuel Donato did a great job with the electrical work. Initial startup occurred with no problems. I've been in my house for 11 years and it has never felt this coo in August. I am committed to the Daikin ductless system for life. So worth it. You get what you pay for. I will definitely call A#1 air the next time I need installation.

We have used A#1 for an entire system replacement back in 2013. Our compressor blew a few nights ago and we had it replaced. They have always been upfront and fair. Never once tried to up sell me nor did he make me feel pressured into purchasing. He educated me on different things and we chose a system best for our family and within my budget. Install guys came out and did a phenomenal job. Making sure I was happy 100% before They would even mark the job complete. Every question answered in a respectful manner and nothing short of professionalism. These guys worked all day and evening to make sure we were up and running. Trey and his team worked side by side with Johnny and his team and made sure everything was done with perfection. I whole heartedly recommend this group. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I will never call this company again. A service technician came to my home to trouble shoot a problem that I was having. I was told that the evaporator had cracked and "puked" all of the refrigerant and that at a minimum, I would have to replace the evaporator ($3,500). It was recommended that I replace the entire system. The service tech called a salesman to re-evaluate the system and to quote repairs. I was quoted 4 separate options ranging from $8,900 to $16,800 for a 4-ton unit. I called a different company for a 2nd opinion. The second company fixed the system by replacing the gasket on a schrader valve and charging the system. $120.00 and done. It's good to know that there are still a few honest businesses out there.

Biggest rip off I ve ever experienced! Their tech arrived to tune up my working ac system and left my house with a system that was not running. They took over 4 hours to return. They then quoted me 8x higher price for the repairs than another company even though they were the ones who caused the issue.

Patrick, our service tech was friendly, on time and answered our questions. Our unit was original (18 years) old and not preforming as we wanted, it s hot in Texas.

Guillermo was at our house roughly an hour and 1/2 later. He was professional and able to answer our additional questions on the unit (questions always come up later). He walked us through the install of the new nest thermostats and made sure we had everything setup.

Highly recommended!
